THIS VEHICLE HAS NO START CONDITION AT TIME. BATTERY HAS BEEN REPLACED IN THREE DIFFERENT OCCASSIONS DURING A COURSE OF 26 MONTHS. THIS VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY.
AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT SYSTEM PROBLEM. AIR BAG OFF WARNING LIGHT SOMETIMES COMES ON WHEN AN ADULT PASSENGER IS SEATED. THIS IS AN INTERMITTANT PROBLEM. DEALER UNABLE TO IDENTIFY PROBLEM ON 2 (3 HR) VISITS. HONDA HQ REPORTS: WEIGHT TO TRIGGER SENSOR IS < 60LBS. WARNING LIGHT THAT AIR BAG IS TURNED OFF MAY OR MAY NOT MEAN THAT AIR BAG IS OFF AND WILL NOT DEPLOY. LIGHT MUST BE ON WHEN DEALER CHECKS AS HONDA COMPUTER DOES NOT STORE ANY ERROR CODES OR CONDITIONS, ADVISED TO WAIT UNTIL LIGHT COME ON THEN GO TO DEALER. I OBJECTED AS PASSENGER IS AT RISK OF LIFE THAT THE AIR BAG WILL PROVIDE NO PROTECTION IN EVENT OF COLLISION. HONDA STATED POLICY THEY WILL NOT REPLACE SENSOR UNLESS IT FAILS IN TEST AT DEALER ' THAT IS, PERMANENTLY BAD, NOT INTERMITTANT. HONDA HQ AGENT THEN ASKED IF THERE WAS ANYTHING ELSE SHE/HONDA COULD DO. I SAID YES, REPLACE ANY SENSOR THAT MAY CAUSE THE LIGHT TO GO ON, AND CHECK LIGHT FOR FAULTY WIRING. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT HEARD A LOUD NOISE COMING FROM THE MOTOR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHO WAS UNABLE TO REPLICATE AND DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS ALSO TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 43,000.
CAR PURCHASED IN AUG 2014. I WAS VERY EXCITED TO PURCHASE A BRAND NEW HONDA. AROUND THE SECOND YEAR MARK OR 55,000MILES. STARTED HAVING CRANK ISSUES ONE NIGHT. CAR WAS TAKING TO THE DEALERSHIP THE NEXT DAY OR SO. IT WASN'T PUT ON A DIAGNOSTIC MACHINE. BATTERY CHECKED. SENSOR RECALL COMPETED. I HAD TO PURCHASE A NEW BATTERY WITH A THREE WARRANTY. COSTING $180. THE ISSUE STILL CONTINUES TO TODAY (AUG 6, 2019), EVEN AFTER PURCHASING A NEW STARTER. THIS IS GIVEN ME A HEADACHE. HONDA CORPORATE WAS NOTIFIED. NO RESOLUTION. CONTACT THE DEALERSHIP. NO RESOLUTION. ON CAR COMPLAINTS AND CAR GURUS, CUSTOMERS HAVE GOTTEN MULTIPLE THINGS FIXED AND CARS CONTINUE WITH THE SAME ISSUE
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 HONDA ACCORD. WHILE STARTING THE VEHICLE, A WHINING NOISE WAS HEARD COMING FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. OCCASIONALLY, THE ENGINE WOULD NOT START IMMEDIATELY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ED MORSE HONDA (3790 W BLUE HERON BLVD, RIVIERA BEACH, FL 33404) WHERE THE STARTER WAS EXAMINED, BUT NO FAILURE WAS FOUND. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE, BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED THE SAME FAILURE LISTED IN THE MANUFACTURER'S TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN NUMBER: 16-002. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 25,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE GEAR SHIFTER FAILED. THE GEAR LOCKED IN PARK AND HAD TO BE WIGGLED NUMEROUS TIMES TO RELEASE TO SHIFT INTO DRIVE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, BUT A FAILURE CODE COULD NOT BE LOCATED. A FEW WEEKS LATER, WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, IT ROLLED OUT OF PARK AND CRASHED INTO A PARKED VEHICLE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 34,065.
2014 HONDA ACCORD. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO DISCOVERING A RUPTURE IN THE RIGHT REAR SIDEWALL. OF THE TIRE. *SMD
I thought I was just imagining that my brakes felt like they were not stopping properly, but I see a recall with other Honda's that have the same issue I have with my brakes. If I tape these brakes fast or hard they feel like they are not going to stop. They also feel like there is air in the air or something of that nature which means this 2014 Im driving has an issue with the brake as well. I keep them serviced but they feel the same way even after changing all the hardware and software.
LOW MILES 2 YEAR OLD HONDA ACCORD RANDOMLY WENT UP IN FLAMES AFTER BEING PARKED FOR 30MINS AT THE DOCTORS OFFICE. LOOKS TO BE A HP FUEL PUMP DESIGN PROBLEM. THIS PUMP WAS REPLACED BY THE DEALER UNDER WARRANTY. THANKFULLY IT WASN'T PARKED IN MY GARAGE.
GOODYEAR ASSURANCE FUEL MAX TIRES WITH 41,000 MILES ON A 2014 HONDA ACCORD HAVE PIECES OF RUBBER COMING OUT OF THEM. THE BALANCING AND ALIGNMENT ARE FINE AND AIR PRESSURE IS AT 33 PSI. TIRES ARE ROTATED AT EVERY SERVICE, APPROXIMATELY 5,000 MILES. I HAVE TRIED TO SEND PICTURES TO GOODYEAR HEADQUARTERS AND THEY REFUSE TO ALLOW ME TO DO SO. THEY ONLY ACCEPT THE WORD OF THE AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO STATED IT IS A RESULT OF DRIVING ON GRAVEL ROADS, WHICH HAS NEVER TAKEN PLACE. THEY WERE WILLING TO DO A PARTIAL WEAR ADJUSTMENT, BUT THEY WILL NOT GO THE 50% AS STATED IN THE WRITTEN WARRANTY.
EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION....HONDA SAYING IT IS NORMAL .....
OIL CONSUMPTION: BURNING ENGINE OIL ENGINE OIL LEVEL IS NEAR EMPTY WITHIN 5000 MILES OIL CHANGE INTERVAL FLASH AND GONE LOW ENGINE OIL WARNING LIGHT ON DASHBOARD WHICH IS HARD TO NOTICE THE PROBLEM
I am reporting that there are three things that needs to be addressed on the 2014 Honda Accord. 1. The drivers side seat, deflates and it consistantly has to be pumped back up while driving. 2. I've had to purchase (4) new car batteries for this 2014 Honda Accord that I own since I purchased it in 2016. That's unacceptable especially when there has been a recalled by Honda, on the 2016, for a battery senior issue? 3 The brakes on my 2014 Honda Accord car is most dangerous. When the brake is engaged and pressed hard, the brake fills with air and barely stops the car. I replaced the pad and rototes and it did not change a thing. Please have someone to check these things as well. I. The other Honda Accords are having issues with a Battery Senior then I am sure it's something in this 2014 that is killing my battery. The seat should not be deflating either and the brakes should not be barley stopping, when that is most important.
I WAS PULLING IN TO A PARKING SPOT AT 2 MPH OR LESS, AND WHEN I PUT MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE TO STOP, THE ENGINE SURGED AND THE CAR LURCHED FORWARD OUT OF MY CONTROL, ACROSS THE CONCRETE BARRIER, OVER A WALKWAY AND INTO THE WALL OF A RESTAURANT, WHERE IT STALLED. I HAD TO RESTART THE CAR TO REVERSE IT AWAY FROM THE CRASH. FORTUNATELY NO-ONE WAS HURT ALTHOUGH THERE WAS CONSIDERABLE DAMAGE TO THE FRONT OF THE CAR AND THE WALL OF THE RESTAURANT. THIS ALSO HAPPENED IN MARCH 2014. I WAS PULLING INTO A PARKING SPOT WHEN THE ENGINE ROARED, THE CAR LURCHED FORWARD, AND I CRASHED ACROSS A PATH AND THROUGH A WOODEN FENCE. THE DAMAGE THEN WAS $10K. THE CAR WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP'S COLLISION CENTER, WHICH REPORTED ONLY THAT "NO DEFECTS IN MATERIALS OR FACTORY WORKMANSHIP WERE FOUND." THERE ARE AT LEAST 11 OTHER REPORTS OF THIS PROBLEM FROM OTHER PEOPLE IN THIS STRING, AND IT IS CLEARLY A VERY DANGEROUS FAULT IN THE 2014 HONDA ACCORD WHICH NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED. THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL BEFORE SOMEONE IS SERIOUSLY HURT OR KILLED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 HONDA ACCORD. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED INDEPENDENTLY WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS BRAKING INDEPENDENTLY WITHOUT WARNING. IN ADDITION, THE STEERING WHEEL STIFFENED AND TURNED RIGHT AND LEFT INDEPENDENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS UNDETERMINED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 18,000.
HAD OIL CONSUMPTION TEST AT HONDA DEALER I BOUGHT CAR FROM. DOCUMENTED CAR LOSING QUART OIL EVERY 1000 MILES OR 2 QUARTS BETWEEN 8000 MILE OIL CHANGES. HONDA DOES NOT FIND THIS EXCESSIVE AND STATES A QUART PER 1000 MILES IS ACCEPTABLE, WHICH IS TOTAL BS. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND OR BUY A HONDA PRODUCT IN THE FUTURE!
LANE WATCH CAMERA STOPPED WORKING WITHIN 3 YEARS AFTER PURCHASE. IT COMES ON FOR FEW DAYS AND THEN BLANK AGAIN. SAME IS THE CASE WITH REAR VIEW CAMERA. FAULTY CAMERAS OR SOME FAULTY COMPUTER SYSTEMS INSTALLED IN HONDA ACCORDS.

MY 2014 HONDA ACCORD HAS BEEN LEAVING ME STRANDED BECAUSE THE CAR KILLS THE BATTERY. IT STARTED LAST YEAR AND THE DEALER SAID THE BATTERY WAS FINE, AND LEFT IT AT THAT. NOW A YEAR LATER THE BATTER IS STILL TESTING GOOD BUT THE CAR HAS LEFT ME 3 TIMES IN ONE DAY IN 2 DIFFERENT OCCASIONS. I PERMANENTLY HAVE TO CART JUMPING CABLES JUST I. CASE. I'M SO SAD TO SEE THAT I'M PAYING AND I'VE BEEN SUCH A FAITHFUL HONDA CLIENT AND THIS IS REALLY DEVESTATING.
THE POWER STEERING STOPPED WORKING AFTER PARALLEL PARKING MAKING THE VEHICLE INOPERATIVE. AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS
TAKATA RECALL:MY CAR WAS HESITATING WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A STOP. I STOPPED AND TURNED THE CAR OFF ONLY FOR ABOUT 5 MINUTES, I GOT BACK IN, TURNED THE CAR ON AND IT WOULDN'T START. I WAS ON A CITY ST, SO I WALKED TO AUTO MECHANIC SHOP, GOT A JUMP, IT STARTED UP AFTER 5 TO 10 MINUTES. THE NEXT DAY, THE SAME THING HAPPEN. I CALLED HONDA, GOT SOMEONE TO JUMP START THE CAR, DROVE TO HONDA, LEFT THE CAR FOR 2 DAYS. HONDA CALLED ME STATING THAT THE BATTERY WAS GOOD, BUT THE SENSORS WERE BAD AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THEY REPLACED THE SENSORS, CHARGED ME $160. I PICKED UP THE CAR, DROVE IT HOME, THEN 2 DAYS LATER, THE CAR DIED OUT AGAIN. I CALLED HONDA AGAIN, THEY TOLD ME TO BRING THE CAR IN. I GOT THE CAR JUMPED IN ORDER TO TAKE IT BACK TO HONDA. THIS TIME, I LEFT THE CAR THERE FOR 3 DAYS. THEY TOLD ME THIS TIME THAT THE BATTERY WAS BAD AND WANTED ME TO PAY FOR A BATTERY. I REFUSED TO PAY FOR A BATTERY, SENT THE MANAGER AN EMAIL IN REFERENCE TO THE FINDINGS THAT THEY SAID WAS WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE BECAUSE IN THE BEGINING, THEY TOLD ME THAT IT WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE BATTERY AND NOW I PAID FOR THE SENSOR AND THE CAR STILL CUT OFF. DID I REALLY NEED THE SENSORS OR WAS IT THE BATTERY IN THE FIRST PLACE? THEY REPLACED THE BATTERY AT NO CHARGE. .
DID SEE ONE TIME LOW OIL PRESSURE SIGNAL FOR ABOUT 2 SEC WHEN DID MOVE ON THE STREET WITH THE SPEED ABOUT 30 MPH. DID ADD ONE QUARTER OF THE OIL. IN TWO DAYS THERE WAS NO OIL IN ENGINE. IMMEDIATELY BRING THE VEHICLE TO DEALERSHIP AT 9AM ON 5/28/16 CAN'T TRUST THIS VEHICLE AND DO AFRAID TO USE IT.
UNLOCK CAR WITH REMOTE ONLY TO COME BACK TO THE CAR AND IT HAS LOCKED ITSELF AGAIN.
THE TRUNK HAS OPENED SEVERAL TIMES ON ITS OWN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER TWICE. FIRST TIME THE LATCH AND THE CABLE WERE REPLACED. THE SECOND TIME I WAS TOLD THE KEY WAS RESET. THIS IS STILL HAPPENING AND NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED.. VEHICLE IS USUALLY PARKED WHEN THIS HAPPENS.
HONDA ACORD 2014 SPORT 235/45/18 94V AFTER 14000 MILES STARTED SHAKING AND MAKING A ROORING NOISE . AFTER INSPECTION BY THE DEALER HE SAID THAY GO BAD ON BACK BECAUSE OF LESS WAIGHT . SAID THAY WERE HAVING TROUBLE WITH ALL OF THIS BRAND ON BACK OF A HONDAS . IT IS CUPPING OUT A BUBBLE GETS BETREEN TREAD AND BODY OF TIRS . VERY UNSAFE . YOU CAN HERE AND FEEL THIS AT ALL SPEEDS .
MY 2014 HONDA ACCORD EX-L WAS PARALLEL PARKED IN A NEIGHBORHOOD, I TURNED IT ON AND STARTED TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL TO THE LEFT TO EXIT THE PARKING SPACE. THE FIRST TURN OF THE STEERING WHEEL HAD NO PROBLEM, BUT AS I PRESSED ON THE ACCELERATOR I MOVED 5 FEET FORWARD AND THEN I HEARD A SERIES OF CLICKING NOISES COMING FROM THE DASHBOARD AND THE STEERING BECAME IMPOSSIBLY DIFFICULT TO TURN, AND THE ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING (EPS) LIGHT ON THE DASHBOARD ILLUMINATED. I TRIED TO TURN MY VEHICLE OFF AND ON AGAIN, BUT EVERY TIME I TURNED THE CAR ON, THERE WERE A SERIES OF CLICKS AND THE STEERING WOULD REMAIN EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO TURN WITH THE EPS LIGHT STAYING LIT. I HAD TO HAVE THE CAR TOWED, AND THE HONDA DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THE EPS CONTROL UNIT FAILED AND WAS REPLACED. I HAD DRIVEN OVER 100 MILES THAT DAY ON BUSY HIGHWAYS AT HIGH SPEEDS AND IF THIS FAILURE WOULD HAVE HAPPENED ANY OTHER TIME THROUGHOUT THE DAY I MOST CERTAINLY WOULD HAVE GOTTEN INTO AN ACCIDENT.
HANGING A HANDICAP PLACARD FROM THE AUTO DIMMING REAR VIEW MIRROR CAUSED A WIRING HARNESS SHORT. THE SHORT WAS INTERMMITENT AT FIRST AND CAUSED A PARTIAL LOSS OF ACCESSORIES (AC, RADIO, ETC.) WHILE DRIVING. WITHIN 5 MILES OF THE LOSS OF ACCESSORIES, A HARD SHORT OCCURRED AND THE VEHICLE COULD NOT BE STARTED. LUCKILY THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN PARKED WHEN THIS CONDITION OCCURRED DEALER REFUSED TO COVER REPAIR UNDER WARRANTY INDICATING THAT THE CONDITION WAS CAUSED BY AN OUTSIDE SOURCE (THE HANDICAP PLACARD). I APPEALED TO AMERICAN HONDA 7/13/16 AND THE SAME DECISION WAS UPHELD.
REAR RIGHT DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR FAILED AND PREVENTS FROM OPENING AND CLOSING THE DOOR.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE POWER LOCK FAILED TO UNLOCK THE DOOR. AS A RESULT, THE DOOR HAD TO BE UNLOCKED MANUALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE DOOR POWER ACTUATOR FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE REOCCURRED WITH THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE AND THE REAR DRIVER SIDE DOORS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 45,366.
POWER STEERING FAILED HAD TO WHILE TAKING A TURN. I HAD TO TURN OFF ENGINE & RESTART IT TO MAKE IT WORK AGAIN
MY 2014 HONDA ACCORD SPORT DEVELOPED STARTING PROBLEMS. I TOOK MY CAR TO DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT IT WAS A STARTER PROBLEM. BECAUSE I HAVE 47,000 MILES ON THE CAR, WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER REPAIR.
TRUNK LID OPENS BY ITSELF INTERMITTENTLY. THIS HAS OCCURRED ABOUT NINE TIMES SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR ONE YEAR AND A HALF AGO. THIS HAS HAPPENED WHILE PARKED IN MY GARAGE OR ON THE STREET NEAR MY HOUSE. AFTER THE FIRST FEW TIMES IT HAPPENED I BEGAN TO REMOVE THE KEYS FROM MY POCKET AND HANGING THEM ON A KEY HOOK UPON ENTERING THE HOUSE. PROBLEM STILL OCCURRED. I FINALLY TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER WHERE I BOUGHT THE CAR. THE DEALER SAYS THAT THEY CAN NOT REPLICATE THE PROBLEM AND THAT HONDA AMERICA TECH SUPPORT HAS NEVER EVER HEARD OF SUCH A PROBLEM. I TOLD THEM TO DO A GOOGLE SEARCH. THEY SAID THERE WAS NOTHING MORE THEY COULD DO. I TOLD THEM THAT THE PROBLEM WOULD HAPPEN AGAIN IF NO CORRECTIVE ACTION WAS TAKEN. SO I INSISTED THAT THEY DISCONNECT THE ELECTRONICS FROM THE REMOTE TRUNK RELEASE. I HAVE TO OPEN THE TRUNK MANUALLY WITH THE TRUNK RELEASE CABLE BUT IT IS BETTER THAN LOOKING OUT YOUR HOUSE WINDOW AND SEEING YOUR CAR TRUNK FLAPPING IN THE BREEZE. LESSON LEARNED IS THAT HONDA AMERICA DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT. AFTER THE WARRANTY PERIOD IS UP I WILL BE SWITCHING TO ANOTHER BRAND.
SO DISAPPOINTED WITH THE SEAT COVERS ON MY HONDA ACCORD! THIS IS THE 4TH HONDA THAT I OWN AND NONE HAVE HAD SUCH WEAR AND TEAR AS THE 2014!!! EVEN AFTER 10 YEARS OF USE ON ALL OF THEM, THEY WERE IN BETTER SHAPE THAN THE 2014 AFTER 2 YEARS OF USE
UNINTENDED ACCELERATION: CAR STARTED WITHOUT ANY ISSUES, AS I WAS DRIVING A SLOW SPEED DOWN MY DRIVEWAY AS I ATTEMPTED TO STOP BEFORE ENTERING THE STREET, THE CAR LURCHED FORWARD UNDER ACCELERATION. I SHIFTED THE CAR INTO NEUTRAL AND WITH THE ENGINE RACING TO ABOUT 4,000 RPM WITH REV LIMITER CUTTING IN I STOPPED THE CAR WITH THE BRAKE, I TURNED THE ENGINE OFF AND RESTARTED IN NEUTRAL. ENGINE AGAIN RACED TO 4,000RPM WITH REV LIMITER CUTTING IN. STOPPED ENGINE AGAIN AND RESTARTED A THIRD TIME, THIS TIME ENGINE IDLED NORMALLY AND DROVE WITHOUT INCIDENT. CALLED DEALER, NO RECORDS FROM ANYONE INDICATING A SIMILAR SITUATION.
CAR WAS STOPPED WITH TRANSMISSION IN PARK AND ENGINE IDLING. THE ENGINE ACCELERATED TO OVER 2000 RPM WITH FOOT ON BRAKE AND NOT ON ACCELERATOR. I PUSHED THE STOP/START BUTTON AND SHUT ENGINE OFF. I RESTARTED ENGINE AND IT AGAIN RAN AT OVER 2000 RPM WITH FOOT ON BRAKE AND NOT ON ACCELERATOR. SHUT OFF AND RESTARTED AGAIN AND IT WENT FROM OVER 2000 RPM BACK TO NORMAL IDLE. I DROVE CAR HOME AND HAD TWO REPEAT ACCELERATIONS SO DROVE CAR TO SHOP.
WHEN WE PUSH THE STARTER BUTTON TO CRANK THE ENGINE, A LOUD GRINDING NOISE OCCURS (AS WHEN YOU TRY TO START AN ENGINE THAT IS ALREADY RUNNING). BEGAN AROUND 23,000 MILES, AND HAS GOTTEN PROGRESSIVELY WORSE OVER TIME. HONDA DEALERSHIP WAS MADE AWARE OF PROBLEM TWICE BEFORE 36,000 MI. WARRANTY EXPIRED. HONDA SAID THEY FOUND NOTHING WRONG. NOW IT HAPPENS EVERY TIME YOU START VEHICLE...WITH 4 OR 5 ATTEMPTS TO ACTUALLY START CAR. GRINDING AT EVERY ATTEMPT. NOW AT 48,000 MILES , WE'RE TOLD THAT WE ARE GOING TO HAVE TO PAY FOR THIS DEFECT...AROUND $900. WE NOTICED THAT THERE IS HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE ON LINE WITH SAME PROBLEM. PLUS MANY YOUTUBE VIDEOS TO CONFIRM IT. WE ALSO HAVE READ REPORTS THAT HONDA STARTERS FOR THESE MODEL YEARS WERE MANUFACTURED INCORRECTLY/IMPROPERLY, WITH HONDA AWARE OF IT. THIS PROBLEM HAPPENS ANYWHERE THE VEHICLE IS PARKED.

TODAY, AT AROUND 27K MILES THE NOISE HAS EVOLVED INTO A RATTLE WHICH IS HEARD WHILE GOING OVER SMALL BUMPS OR AROUND A SWEEPING RIGHT HAND TURN.

THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V121000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,000.
WINDSHIELD WASHER FREEZES EXTREMELY EASILY, CAUSING A HORRIBLY UNSAFE CONDITION IN WINTER DRIVING. AS AN EXAMPLE, I HAVE -30 DEGREE WASHER FLUID IN THE CAR, IT IS 25 DEGREES OUT THIS MORNING, CAR SAT IN THE GARAGE ALL NIGHT. AFTER A 15 MINUTE DRIVE, WASHER FLUID IS COMPLETELY FROZEN AND WILL NOT COME OUT AT ALL. TRIED SEVERAL TIMES. ALMOST CAUSED AN ACCIDENT FOR ME BECAUSE I COULD NOT SEE WITH THE SALT ON THE ROAD.
(1/12/2016) WHILE TRYING TO MERGE ONTO THE HIGHWAY THE CAR JOLTED AND THE ENGINE REVVED UP AND THE TRANSMISSION DISENGAGED CAUSING THE CAR TO STALL. THE CAR BEHIND ME CAME BARRELING UP ON MY BUMPER NEARLY CRASHING INTO ME. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS ISSUE. HAD MY CHILDREN BEEN IN THE CAR, AND THE DRIVER BEHIND ME NOT BEEN SO ALERT (PRAISE THE LORD), THIS COULD HAVE HAD DEVASTATING CONSEQUENCES. AFTER THAT INSTANCE THE TRANSMISSION KEPT SLIPPING AND THE ENGINE WOULD REV UP AGAIN AND AGAIN, THE TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT ENGAGE, AND THE CAR WOULD JOLT FORWARD AND BACK. THIS CAR ONLY HAS 112,000 MILES ON IT. ALL OUR MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS HAVE BEEN PER SCHEDULE AND PERFORMED AT THE HONDA DEALERSHIP SO THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THIS TRANSMISSION TO FAIL THIS EARLY. I CHECKED THE TRANSMISSION FLUID TO SEE IF THAT MAY HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO THE ISSUE, HOWEVER IT WAS FULL AND CLEAN (THANKS TO REGULAR MAINTENANCE). IN RESEARCHING THIS FURTHER I FOUND SEVERAL COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS MODEL EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUE. IT TURNS OUT THAT THERE HAS BEEN A RECALL OF OVER 1 MILLION VEHICLES ON THIS VERY PROBLEM BACK IN 2004 (NTSA REFERENCE #04V176000, APRIL 15, 2004). THERE HAS ALSO BEEN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT COVERING SEVERAL HONDA MODELS RELATED TO THIS ISSUE. THIS FAILURE IS UNACCEPTABLE GIVEN HONDA'S REPUTATION FOR QUALITY AND DEPENDABILITY. NOT TO MENTION THE FACT THAT I HAVE 4 CHILDREN, AND HAD THIS BEEN UNDER DIFFERENT CIRCUMSTANCES COULD HAVE HAD CATASTROPHIC RESULTS. PLEASE HONDA; DO THE RIGHT THING AND FIX THIS ISSUE.
I BOUGHT MY HONDA ACCORD NEW AND HAVE BEEN THE ONLY DRIVER. IN OUR FIRST SNOWSTORM THIS YEAR, I NOTICED I HAD TREMENDOUS DIFFICULTY MOVING FORWARD, EVEN ON FLAT SURFACE, WITHIN MY OWN CULDESAC, WITH VERY LITTLE SNOW ON THE GROUND. DESPITE THE CAR HAVING LESS THAN 20,000 MILES AND ORIGINAL TIRES, I WAS SURPRISED HOW BADLY THE TIRES PERFORMED IN MILD SNOWY CONDITIONS. I MADE A MENTAL NOTE TO GET NEW TIRES, ALTHOUGH QUITE DISAPPOINTED THAT I FELT THAT NEED WITH A RELATIVELY NEW CAR UNFORTUNATELY, THE NEXT SNOW HIT BEFORE I BOUGHT NEW TIRES. I WAS IN MY OWN NEIGHBORHOOD, A FEW BLOCKS FROM MY HOUSE, MAKING MY WAY TO A MAJOR STREET WITH A MILD DECLINE. THE ROAD WAS SLICK, BUT I NOTED THAT THE OTHER CARS DID NOT SEEM TO HAVE ANY DIFFICULTY STOPPING, ETC. AS I BEGAN THE DESCENT DOWN THE HILL, I NOTICED MY TIRES WERE NOT GIVING MY ANY TRACTION, AND I BEGAN SLIDING UNCONTROLLABLY DOWN THE HILL. I COLLIDED WITH A CAR ON THE INTERSECTING STREET DUE TO, I BELIEVE, VERY POOR TIRE PERFORMANCE. A NEW CAR OF THIS CALIBER, IN MY OPINION,SHOULD HAVE ADEQUATE TRACTION ABILITY FOR AT LEAST THE FIRST 20,000 MILES. MY CAR IS, LIKELY TOTALED, I AM INJURED, THE OTHER PARTY'S CAR IS BADLY DAMAGED AND I IMAGINE SHE SUFFERED INJURIES AS WELL. I AM DEEPLY DISAPPOINTED IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THIS VEHICLE. WHEN HAVING MY CAR SERVICED OVER THE PAST YEAR, I WAS NEVER ADVISED THAT THE TIRES WERE INADEQUATE.

THERE IS A VERY LOUD HUMMING/ROARING NOISE THAT IS COMING FROM THE DRIVER'S SIDE REAR WHEEL. I THOUGHT IT WAS TIRE RELATED AND WAS TALKED INTO NEW TIRES IN WHICH THE PROBLEM IS STILL THERE. AFTER SOME RESEARCH, IT IS LOOKING AS IF THE NOISE IS BEING PRODUCED FROM THE REAR WHEEL BEARING. I CAN TURN SHARPLY TO THE LEFT, RELIEVING PRESSURE/WEIGHT FROM THE LEFT REAR AND THE NOISE SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCES. TURNING SHARPLY TO THE RIGHT, (INCREASING PRESSURE TO THE LEFT REAR) INCREASES THE NOISE. IT IS CURRENTLY BEING DIAGNOSED BY MY HONDA DEALER. THE NOISE STARTED AT AROUND 35K AND HAS CONTINUALLY GOTTEN WORSE.

ONE COLD MORNING OF ABOUT 30-32 DEGREES, THE BACK LEFT PASSENGER DOOR WOULD NOT OPEN FROM THE OUTSIDE (OR INSIDE) WHEN THE HANDLE WAS PULLED. IT WAS AS IF CHILD LOCK WAS ON. FROM THAT POINT ON, NO MATTER WHAT TEMP, THE DOOR WON'T OPEN PROPERLY IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY. THE ONLY WAY TO GET IT TO OPEN IS TO PUSH THE DOOR IN THEN PULLING THE HANDLE. IF ON THE INSIDE, YOU HAVE TO PULL THE DOOR IN BY THE HOLE YOU GRASP THE DOOR THE PULL THE HANDLE. IT IS NOT SAFE. IT HAPPENED AT 37,000 MILES. CAR WAS BOUGHT NEW AND IS ON LEASE STILL WITH ONE MORE YEAR TILL I CAN FINANCE IT. I HAVE NO KIDS AND HAVE GUEST THE SIT IN THE BACK PERIODICALLY. I CAN SEE NO FAULT ON MY END FOR THE DOOR TO BE DEFECTIVE. DEALERSHIP REFUSES TO WAVE THE $180 FEE TO LOOK AT IT.
