I Purchased This 2014 Honda Accord 11-01-2021 From a Private owner They Had The Speed odometer changed and charged me more than what the car was worth.

ABS-121-11, power steering -85-01 Air Conditioning module -B 1241 4 smart entry ECU codes- B12D0-IG1a power output malfunction B12D-IG1b and B12d0-power output malfunction B12D3 IG latch circuit(keep hold circuit) malfunction FCW System
CAR HAS 85,000 ON 2014. RECENT ISSUES INCLUDE DEFECTIVE STARTER AND REAR BRAKE CALIPER. ALSO REAR TIRES SPIN IF ROAD IS DAMP EVEN WITH ANTI SERVE ENGAGED AND GOOD TIRES. PREVIOUS ISSUES INCLUDE BATTERY COMPONENT RECALL AND AXEL RECALL. DID I BUY A LEMON?
A sensor in the ABS module has failed, and has caused FCW, LDW, ABS, TCS to all not work. Honda wants me to replace the module, but says the parts on back order for forseeable future and that they can’t do anything for me. How can 1 part cause the failure of so many safety systems? How can they not stock this important repair part? Everytime I drive, my safety and the safety of those around me is compromised, and Honda’s solution given to me from the dealer was to call back in 3 months to check if the part can be ordered. (And then pay $2000 to have it installed)
235/45r18 m+S Cooper adventurer tour tires rated/ advertised to be a prorated at75000 lest then 8000 miles The 2 rear tires because completely BOLD causing the car to slide and fish tell, during a rainy day on the highway at normal speed
Inexplicably and randomly, the FCW comes on the 2014 Honda Accord Ex-L. It is accompanied by most the other lights in the dashboard coming on (ex. lane departure, anti lock brakes, power steering, Traction control. When you turn car off and wait, the system seems to fix itself and all is fine until it recurs. It's very scary. My mechanic diagnosed and spoke to Honda who advised replacement of Honda ABS Control Module/Modulator Assembly. This is a very expensive part (approx. $1300) and unavailable at Honda. The concern is the safety situation plus the fact that this is a wide problem impacting so many other customers. I came upon this Honda forum where so many customers are having an identical problem to mine: https://www.driveaccord.net/threads/fcw-system-failure-message.77644/page-11#post-6861865 I'm requesting that this issue be investigated and Honda issue a recall and help customers such as me mitigate this problem. My son drives this car and I'm scared for him as safety features are disable when the electrical problem happens and then it fixes itself until the next time. Thank you, [XXX] INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
After a minor accident, once turned off, the car would not restart for about 20 minutes. All dash lights flicker and there is a clicking sound. Insurance company will not cover assessment or any repair as they say it cannot be linked to the loss, even though I never had issues with this prior to the accident and it was reported in my accident claim. No issues show on a diagnostic test, but I continue to experience issues with the start button connection. I can hold the brake and press the start button but either have to hold it for 20 - 30 seconds while it clicks or goes dim (while you can hear things trying to happen in the engine), or the brake/start button must be applied multiple times to get it to start. I also think that power is beginning to flicker during driving and now I'm really afraid. I have 105,000 miles.
The contact owns a 2014 Honda Accord. The contact stated that there was film covering the inside of the headlights causing the headlights to fail to illuminate properly. The vehicle had been taken to the dealer who confirmed that it was a known failure. The dealer informed the contact that the vehicle had to be taken to a body shop to have the film cleaned off the headlights. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and opened a case. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was 60,000.
Car Dashboard is showing failure of ABS, FCW, LDW related to the ABS Modulator according Honda dealership diagnostics. This issue seems to be related to this generation of honda accords as per other reports on forums and discussions. It impacts the braking of the vechicle as well as advanced safety features that are relied on. I have take the car to be checked out by a honda dealership and it was identified as an issue with the ABS modulator.
ABS module/modulator is faulty. Dashboard lights come on and anti lock brakes do not work in rainy conditions or any condition when braking hard to stop. Many people have experienced the exact same thing. The dealership confirmed that it is the abs/gas modulator.
Vehicle fails to start on intermittent bases. Dangerous situations in extreme heat in AZ.
The contact owns a 2014 Honda Accord. The contact stated while the vehicle was being inspected by an independent mechanic, she was informed that the engine was leaking oil and needed to be repaired. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that after the inspection while driving 40 MPH, she started to hear an abnormal sound. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to another independent mechanic and was referred to the local authorized dealer for assistance. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 58,000.
While driving, the following alerts were received: EPS Problem (ABS), Hill Start Assist Problem, Forward Collision Warning (FCW) Problem, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) Problem, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) Problem, Lane Departure Warning (LDW) Problem, Tire Pressure Monitor System (TPMS) Problem. I could not activate cruise control or lane departure warning, and the forward collision warning was not working. I couldn't get any further information and the car felt spongey when brakes applied. Warnings were cascading.
The forward collision warning system failed is lit up on the dash as well as ABS and other warning lights. I took the vehicle to a mechanic and he advised he has seen many Hondas with this issue and the VSA module is bad, which is what controls the anti-lock brakes. The specific code was 34_11 ABS Solenoid Valve Malfunction.
For more than a year, my car has been having issues starting up. It rarely starts on the first attempt. It usually starts on the second attempt. There are times when it takes multiple attempts to start i have spent over $2000 ,replacing new battery, replacing new starter and after few weeks THE ISSUE HAPPENED AGAIN today my car will NOT START and i cant get to work leaving me stranded in the middle of highway heading to work... THIS IS A LAWSUIT TO HONDA for NOT RECALLING AND FIXING the issue that THEY SOLD US BRAND NEW CARS WITH WELL KNOWN ISSUES i will contact my Family attorney since theres hundreds of others with the SAME ISSUES... obviously HONDA ISNT AS GOOD AS THEY USED TO BE .. NEVER EVER AGAIN HONDA IN MY FAMILY
dashboard lights like pinball game intermitemly includes abs, traction control, fcw, ldw, low tire warning, brakes and steering. dealer found vsa solenoid valve failing, pcm malfunction, modulator control circuit voltage low. need to replace vsa assembly for $2000.00 this valve controls all major safety systems. honda forums finds multiple failures of this . codes set include 121-1, 61-11, and 83-11. failed part still on car. took honda customer service to confirm that would cover repair. car is driveable without safety systems but how safe.
Engine has been consuming oil at high level. Just got my oil change at dealer and two weeks later my oil is low. There ain’t no oil leaks. This is an ongoing problem with these engine. I would like for Honda to fix there engine problem before some engine blows at the wrong situation causing a death. Also would like for a recall so it don’t happen to me. And also my oil light don’t even come on when the oil is low.
Momentary loss of power steering while maneuvering out of parking space. Jerking, power steering goes in and out. It's happened a handful of times recently. No service lights. It's difficult for me to understand problem and if, at some point, it may occurs at higher speeds. I don't want to take car to dealer because I can't preproduce problem.
All the lights came on Red about 2months then went off came back on Friday and went back off they’re saying Fuel pump but most mechanic are saying car is to new for it to out just wondering and I have a lot of problems with the battery going down have purchased about 4 since I owned this car wondering about this happen to 2009 Honda my is 2014 Honda Accord
Starter randomly fails. Grinding noise when you push the start button.
Honda accord 2014 exl 4door 60k miles Engine Starter issue going on. It looks like many 2014 accord users are having this issue. . My car has having intermediate startup cranks almost every day and starts after few attempts . I would like to file a compliant against this alleged defect for honda engine starter defect.
Driving down road and engine started to shake going from 0 to driving speed. while driving heard/felt a big shake and car was no longer able to drive car forward. when it came to a stop. i tried all gears but non would respond. i was luck enough to be on a 2 lane street instead of a highway.
The forward collision warning and lane departure warning systems failed and the alerts for ABS and steering come on. Dealer says it needs an ABS modulator, but there are none in the United States.
When I turned the car there were no alarming lights. I reversed out my driveway, but once in the street I realized I could not turn my steering wheel. This is when several of the dashboard lights illuminated. The following lights illuminated: engine, power steering, and ABS. I drove back into my drive way and placed the car in park. After about one minute in park the car turned off on its own. This put my safety at risk because this was at peak morning traffic and if I cannot steer to drive off after I reverse into traffic it can be severely dangerous. The vehicle has not been inspected. There were no precursors to this issue. It drove fine the day before.
I am having starter issues with my vehicle. I have taken great care of this vehicle and started having issues with the car last year. I replaced the starter because it would not start back, if I turned the car off while running errands ( shopping or filling up with gas). I have now replaced the starter 3 times, and replaced the ignition switch and batteries. I have run every possible diagnostic at the dealership and at local mechanics in my city. I am concerned that I am reading that many drivers across the USA are facing this issue and the dealership cannot fix it or the local repair shops.
Starter problem of the 2014 Honda Accord

Car doesn’t start at first attempt with key in ignition. Then press brake harder it starts on second try. Possibly a starter and ignition issue which may be a known issue for this car year.
The steering is tight on the sharper turns such as parking and reversing the car. The steering wheel seems to be jammed and requires force to turn it. I bought the vehicle from the Honda dealer in 2017 and it has only 40,000 miles on it.
The car does not start consistently. I have replaced the battery two times and the starter. I will turn the key and the engine will not crank over, sometimes it will start up 30 seconds or a minute later after I attempt a couple of times. The Honda mechanic forum is stating that this is a very common problem from owners of this ninth gen Honda Accord.
Starter system failed and vehicle is not starting for Honda Accord 2014 with less than 72 k miles.

My 2014 Honda Accord starter is messing up. The car starts intermittent. My car only has around 83000 miles on it. My brother has a 2014 ex-l and my aunt has 2014 lx and they has had their starter replaced. My aunt had just bought her car from the Honda dealership and she had to replace the starter. I know Honda had an issue with the 2013 Honda starter and they claim it is fix. But the same issue is happening with the 2014 Honda. This really don't make any sense. I really feel that Honda should look into this issue with the 2014 Honda as well. This is actually my 6th Honda accord (1992, 1994, 2000, 2004, 2009 and 2014). I buy them because of the dependability. But after reading other Honda owners regarding the same issues. I really feel like Honda need to go back and look into making sure the cars are dependable instead of making them look pretty.
Car starter is not working and when i checked online , 2014 Honda accord L4 vehicles has issues with starter kit This is what i found from https://www.vehiclehistory.com/articles/2014-honda-accord-starter-recall-a-full-overview This recall impacts 2014 Honda Accord L4 vehicles made between July 29, 2014 and July 31, 2014. The problem occurs in the engine and the engine cooling system. On these vehicles, the connecting rod bolts were not assembled properly. They were torqued improperly. This can cause the engine to suddenly lose power. It also has caused the engine to leak oil. If this type of improper torquing causes damage to the rod bolts, it can cause the car to suddenly stop. That may increase the risk of an accident occurring. The engine leak risk can also cause a fire because of the location near the hot engine or the exhaust system’s parts. To fix this problem, Honda issued an owner notification. It then had dealers bring in the cars and replace the engine short block. These repairs began in March of 2015. I need my vehicle to be recalled to fix this problem
While breaking at slow speed tachometer races to 3000 RPM. After pressing the brake harder speed goes back to normal in a few seconds. This has happened on three different occasions.
My car exhibited the identical problem described in TSB# 10152446. When I reported it to Honda, they said my vehicle doesn't qualify because the VIN # does not fall within the range of vehicles covered. This is a very obscure, specific and costly failure/repair. The fact that other identical vehicles (Make, year, and specific model) are covered suggests to me that the method used to determine which cars to cover was in error. What do I need to do to have this investigated?
The contact owns a 2014 Honda Accord. The contact stated that the ABS, brake, and hazard warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated while depressing the brake pedal, the vehicle began to shake and made an abnormal sound. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer who was unable to duplicate the failure. The contact stated she continued to experience the failure. The contact took the vehicle back to the local dealer a second time and was informed that a sensor chip needed to be replaced. The contact also stated that the low fuel warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 85,000.
The contact owns a 2014 Honda Accord. The contact stated while starting the vehicle, the vehicle stalled. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the failure was experienced twice. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 75,000.
There seems to be a problem with the ABS control Module. Apparently, the part can fail and cause the ABS warning light to go on. Also. many of the other associated warning lights go on like traction control, steering, and the tire pressure light. It seems as if the part fails often on this year vehicle. The dealer says they can't replace the part because they can't get the part. For the complete safety of the vehicle I would like Honda to replace the part. I think Honda should create a recall for this part failure for safety reasons. My understanding is that this part fails often in this vehicle.
Driving on expressway steering in my vehicle stop functioning, my car veered into a guard rail, almost causing myself and my passenger to lose our lives. We a suffering from severe pain and injuries.
Unknown. Just off of warranty, vehicle has started to exhibit intermittent failure to crank/ start on an increasing number of occasions. Could leave driver stranded. Turning key 180 degrees, using valet key, and waiting for various periods of time has allowed the vehicle to start ( so far). Research shows Honda replaces starters on 2013 and earlier Accords under a recall, but claims problem has been cured in 2014 and later Accords. An online search for 2014 and later Accords show the problem persists and has not been corrected.
At 104,000 miles the starter on my 2.4 liter Honda engine began intermittently operating. I ordered a $200 starter online that arrived with damaged connectors and had to take my car to a Honda repair facility. They acquired another starter for $300 and installed it for a total bill of $544.85. As a disabled retiree, I purchased the Honda Accord due to its reputation for reliability. I need it to be reliable transportation to take me and my wife to doctors appointments and the like, making it a serious health and safety issue for us. I do synthetic oil and filter changes every 5000 miles and rotate my tires at the same time. My plan was to keep this vehicle until the "wheels fell off" but now I'm questioning my decision and Honda's reputation. The original Honda starter core was sent back to AutoZone where the replacement starter was obtained. There were no lights or indicators of a pending problem with the starter malfunctioning.
Starter issues appeared in May and car will not crank now.
THE STEERING HAS COMPLETELY FAILED
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 5 MPH, THE VEHICLE LOSS POWER STEERING ASSIST AND WAS DIFFICULT TO STEER. THE CONTACT MANUALLY STEERED THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROADWAY. THE CONTACT'S HUSBAND ARRIVED AT THE SCENE AND DROVE THE VEHICLE TO THE RESIDENCE WITH MANUAL STEERING ONLY. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO MCCONNELL HONDA (2840 EASTERN BLVD, MONTGOMERY, AL 36116, (334) 271-2500) TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT THE POWER STEERING MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT YET REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 125,000.
THE STEERING GOT TIGHT AND WAS HARD TO CONTROL. THE MECHANIC FOUND AN INTERNAL FAILURE ON THE POWER STEERING RACK.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, MAKING A RIGHT TURN WHEN HE LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE SPED UP BY ITSELF WITH THE STEERING WHEEL TURNING RIGHT INADVERTENTLY, THEN CRASHED INTO TWO PARKED VEHICLES. THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES HOWEVER, NO MEDICAL TREATMENT WAS RECEIVED. NO POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE THEN TO A BODY SHOP. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000.
After driving 180 miles on the highway at approximately 65-70 mph going downhill, the steering wheel started to shake violently side to side without any warning. We did not hit anything. It only lasted a few seconds. The car did not go out of the lane, but it was very frightening for myself, and my wife in the front passenger seat. The Honda Dealer checked the car and could not duplicate the problem, or find a Digital Trouble Code. We have never had any problem with this car prior to this instance.
RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FROM HONDA FOR THE DRIVESHAFTS PREMATURE FAILURE ON THE 2014 ACCORD MODELS. THIS FAILURE IS RELATED TO PREMATURE CORROSION OF THE DRIVESHAFTS. THEN WE RECEIVED NOTICE THAT THE VEHICLE RECALL WAS CANCELED BECAUSE " WE DON'T LIVE IN A SNOW AREA AND THAT NO CORROSION SHOULD HAVE OCCURRED. THIS IS NEBRASKA! PLENTY OF SALT AND SNOW! AND WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS IN FOR REGULAR SERVICE IN JULY, THE MECHANIC SHOWED ME THE AXLES AND "STRONGLY ADVISED A REPLACEMENT" EVEN BEFORE WE HAD RECEIVED ANY RECALLS FROM THE MANUFACTURER. I REACHED OUT TO THE LOCAL HONDA DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT THERE WAS A RECALL FOR DRIVESHAFTS AND PROVIDE ME WITH THE RECALL WEBSITE. SO I SUBMITTED THE REQUIRED INFORMATION TO THE HONDA RECALL WEB SITE.THIS INCLUDED THE SERVICE INFORMATION, APPROPRIATE INVOICES AND THE ORIGINAL RECALL SHEET. 6 WEEKS LATER, HONDA CUSTOMER SERVICE CALLED ME AND STATED THERE WOULD NOT BE ANY REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE DEFECTIVE DRIVE SHAFTS. THEY BASED THEIR DECISION ON THE ASSUMPTION THAT NEBRASKA WAS NOT A SNOW STATE NOR WOULD CORROSION BE A FACTOR.GIVEN THE NUMBER O F HONDA'S ON THE STREETS IN NEBRASKA, I JUST CAN'T BELIEVE MY VEHICLE IS THE ONLY ONE WITH DEFECTIVE DRIVESHAFTS. I HAVE THE BILL AND THE FIRST HAND LOOK AT THE DEFECTS TO PROVE DIFFERENTLY. I BELIEVE HONDA SHOULD EXPAND THE RECALL TO INCLUDE NEBRASKA AND THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE.
WHEN OUTSIDE TEMPERATURES ARE AT LEAST 95 DEGREES OR HOTTER, THE FRONT CAMERA OVERHEATS AND THE FORWARD COLLISION WARNING SYSTEM AND LANE DEPARTURE WARNING SYSTEM DON'T FUNCTION UNTIL THE CAMERA COOLS DOWN WHICH CAN TAKE UPWARDS OF 15 MINUTES.
