CAR START SOMETIME . EVERYTHING LIGHT UP .I HAVE TO WAIT AND KEEP TRYING AND THEN IT STARTS. CAR IS STATIONARY
WHILE ON A 400 MILE ROUND TRIP VISIT TO FAMILY, AFTER STOPPING FOR A REST ROOM BREAK, MY HONDA ACCORD WOULD NOT START AFTER ENGAGING THE PUSH BUTTON STARTER. AFTER A FEW MORE ATTEMPTS, THE PUSH BUTTON IGNITION FINALLY ENGAGED. WHILE VISITING OUT OF STATE, I CONTACTED A HONDA DEALER THERE AND WAS TOLD THERE WAS NO RECALL ON THE STARTER ASSEMBLY FOR MY 2014 HONDA ACCORD AND THAT DEALER WANTED $850 TO REPLACE THE STARTER ASSEMBLY. I DECLINED TO PAY THAT OUTRAGEOUS PRICE, TAKING MY CHANCES TO RETURN HOME, A 200 MILE TRIP. DURING THAT TRIP, THERE WERE MULTIPLE INSTANCES WHERE, AFTER STOPPING FOR EITHER GAS OR A REST ROOM BREAK, IT TOOK MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS TO START THE VEHICLE. AT ONE POINT, AFTER DRIVING THROUGH A FAST FOOD DRIVE THRU, I PULLED INTO A NEARBY PARKING LOT TO PARK OUT OF THE WAY TO EAT MY FOOD BUT KEPT THE ENGINE RUNNING TO ENSURE I WOULD GET BACK HOME. AFTER RETURNING HOME, I MADE AN APPOINTMENT WITH A REPUTABLE LOCAL AUTOMOBILE REPAIR SHOP AND WHILE WAITING FOR A REPLACEMENT STARTER TO BE INSTALLED, THE REPAIR TECHNICIAN CAME OUT TO ME TO SHOW ME THE FAULTY STARTER ASSEMBLY HE HAD REMOVED FROM MY ACCORD. THE ORIGINAL UNIT REMOVED FROM MY ACCORD ACTUALLY CAME OUT OF THE ENGINE IN TWO PIECES. IT HAD SEPARATED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HOUSING. I ASKED THE TECHNICIAN HOW HAD IT STAYED TOGETHER WHILE IT WAS IN THE ENGINE AND HE SAID HE DIDN'T KNOW. (2 PHOTOS ATTACHED) . AT THE TIME OF THIS REPAIR, THERE WERE LESS THAN 45,000 ON THIS 2014 HONDA ACCORD (THUS ALSO ON THE STARTER ASSEMBLY). THE REPAIR WAS MADE USING A GENERIC STARTER ASSEMBLY FROM NAPA ON 04/22/2021 AND I WAS CHARGED $583.98 TOTAL FOR PARTS AND LABOR. IT'S OUTRAGEOUS THAT SUCH AN EXPENSIVE PART DIDN'T LAST LONGER THAN 45,000. I HAD A 2000 HONDA CR-V THAT I SOLD WITH 203,000 MILE ON IT AND IT STILL HAD ITS ORIGINAL STARTER. GRANTED, DIFFERENT TYPE TO IGNITION THEN. .
Vehicle abs modulator failed this looks like known issue with multiple complaints on the site but no action is being taken this a huge safety hazard for all consumers. I have all lights on in my dashboard and I have realized my abs brakes failing numerous times while driving in slippery conditions. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY HAZARD AND HONDA IS DOING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT IT!
THE STEERING WHEEL JERKS TO THE SIDE MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO STEER.
I WAS MAKING A LEFT TURN AND MY VEHICLE STEERING WHEEL LOST POWER AND MY HEADLIGHTS START TO BLINK RAPIDLY . I ALMOST COLLAPSED INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE THAT WAS PARKED ON THE SIDE STREET
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND MYAUTOMARIC TRANSMISSION COMPLETELY FAILED ON ME. I HEARD A LOUD NOISE AND THE CAR CAME OUT OF GEAR, AND I WAS FORCED TO PULL OFF TO THE SHOULDER AND GET A TOW. I HAVE MAINTAINED MY CAR EXTREMELY WELL SINCE I PURCHASED IT NEW, AND AT 90K MILES I'M APPALLED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WOULD FAIL. IM BEING TOLD IT WILL COST $6000 TO REPLACE. THIS WILL BE THE LAST HONDA I BUY.
VTC ACTUATOR NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. ON A COLD START AFTER IT'S BEEN SITTING, VEHICLE MAKES A LOUD GRINDING NOISE AND HAS ROUGH IDLE.
GOT MY STARTER REPLACED SINCE IT WAS TURNING OFF ON ME BUT THAT DID NOT FIX THE ISSUE. READING A LOT OF SIMILAR SITUATIONS. MY CAR HAS TURNED OFF ON ME ONCE ON THE FREEWAY AND I ALMOST GOT HIT THE GOOD THING IS I WAS ON THE FAR LEFT LANE AND TURNED THE WHEEL ON TIME, BUT MY CAR WAS STILL STICKING OUT A BIT I ALMOST GOT HIT MULTIPLE TIMES. TURNED OFF ON ME TWICE ON THE STREET LUCKILY I WAS IN TRAFFIC, STILL A SCARY AND RISKY SITUATION. ALSO TRIED REPLACING THE ALTERNATOR DID NOT WORK.
MY CAR IS SUBJECT TO NHTSA RECALL NUMBER20V-769. THE HONDA DEALER WILL NOT REPAIR IT UNLESS I PAY ANOTHER $1,500 FOR PARTS. MY DEALER SAID THIS WAS A "MONEY GRAB" BY HONDA AND ALL RELATED PARTS AND LABOR AT 4.5 HOURS. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR A RECALL BECAUSE MY DRIVESHAFT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED.
I've been to Honda twice to get an alignment in 1 month, but for some reason it seems that the car continues to pull to the right. A few days ago I came across and article mentioning issues with Honda steering wheels, so I'm wondering if my car has the same issue.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN PARK, THE POWER STEERING, TIRE PRESSURE MEASURING SYSTEM, TRACTION CONTROL, ABS, LANE DEPARTURE, AND FORWARD COLLISION WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO CAMBRIDGE HONDA (275 FRESH POND PKWY, CAMBRIDGE, MA 02138) WHERE THE FAILURE WAS DIAGNOSED AS A VSA MODULATOR FAILURE, HOWEVER THE VSA MODULATOR PART WAS ON BACKORDER. THE CONTACT INFORMED THE MANUFACTURER OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER REFERRED THE CONTACT BACK TO THE DEALER SINCE THE PART WAS ON BACKORDER. NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 86,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. *DT
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 20V769000 (POWER TRAIN). THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO WATERMARK HONDA (3201 PARK AVE, PADUCAH, KY 42001, (270) 444-6632) AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE DRIVE SHAFT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT DECLINED TO PAY THE FEES ASSOCIATED WITH REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
THE VEHICLE IS A PUSH START. FOR SEVERAL WEEKS NOW MY CAR WILL NOT START ON THE FIRST TRY. I PUT MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE PRESS THE BUTTON AND THE ENGINE WILL NOT START. IT GIVES A CLICKING NOISE AND THE AIR CONDITIONING AND DISPLAYS COME ON. SOMETIMES I HAVE TO TRY 5 TIMES AND EVENTUALLY, IT STARTS. OTHER TIMES I HAVE TO TRY MORE THAN 30 TIMES TO GET THE VEHICLE TO START. I PUT MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE AND PRESS THE BUTTON. IF THE ENGINE DOES NOT START, I TURN THE CAR COMPLETELY OFF AND TRY AGAIN. NOW THE CAR WILL NOT START NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES I PRESS THE BUTTON WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE. THIS HAPPENS WHEN THE CAR HAS BEEN TURNED OFF AND PARKED.
The contact owns a 2014 Honda Accord. The contact stated while driving 30 mph, the steering wheel became difficult to turn. The contact pulled over and restarted the vehicle and the steering functionality returned. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was towed to Apple Honda (1375 County Rd 58, Riverhead, NY 11901 (631) 727-0555) where it was diagnosed with needing the power steering rack to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 56,000.
The front axles of my front wheel drive car are rusting. The NHTSA has issued a safety recall for this problem (Recall Number 20V-769, MFR Campaign ID: W9F, Campaign Description: 2013-2015 Accord Driveshaft Inspection Safety Recall, Recall Date: 12/18/2020). Honda issued a service bulletin (#20-125), however my VIN number is not included in this recall. This is a dangerous situation if one of the axles were to fail at a high speed (I drive about 100 highway miles per day, M-F). I filed a request with Honda to include pay for the repair to my car, but today (2/2/22) they declined my request because the VIN number is not included in the safety recall. I have pictures of the rust on each axle and have a certified Honda mechanic's report (from the Honda dealership where I bought the car) that recommends both front axles be replaced due to this problem
THE DASH BOARD ISN'T SHOWING ANY SIGNS OF DEFAULT AND THE CAR HAS TROUBLE STARTING
CONSTANT ERROR WARNING 'FCW SYSTEM FAILED' POPS UP WHILE DRIVING, MANY DASH ERROR LIGHTS TURN ON, AND ALL ABS AND VSA SYSTEMS ARE DEACTIVATED. SYSTEM USUALLY RESETS WHEN CAR RESTARTED BUT THE ERROR HAPPENS AGAIN WITHIN A FEW MINUTES OF DRIVING. TOOK CAR TO DEALER, WHO DIAGNOSED IT AS VSA MODULATOR UNIT IS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. WHILE THIS IS A VERY EXPENSIVE PART AND DISAPPOINTING THAT A CRITICAL SAFETY SYSTEM WOULD FAIL THIS EARLY IN THE CAR'S LIFE (MY CAR ONLY HAS 58,000 MILES), AMAZINGLY THERE ARE NO REPLACEMENT UNITS AVAILABLE IN THE USA, AND THIS PART HAS BEEN BACK ORDERED BY HONDA FOR AT LEAST A MONTH, WITH NO RESOLUTION DATE. SO I CANNOT HAVE THE SYSTEM FIXED BECAUSE HONDA DOESN'T HAVE ANY VSA MODULATORS ANYWHERE IN THE USA. THIS ISSUE SEEMS TO BE INCREASING IN FREQUENCY ESPECIALLY IN THE V6 ACCORDS LIKE MINE. IS HONDA OUT OF THE PART BECAUSE SO MANY VSA MODULATORS ARE STARTING TO FAIL? IT SEEMS LIKE A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE THAT MY CAR HAS NO ABS OR VSA SYSTEM WORKING WHILE DRIVING, AND HONDA IS ALSO UNABLE TO OFFER A FIX SINCE THE PART IS NOT AVAILABLE.
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN; I HAD AN APPOINTMENT FOR TODAY (02/13/2021) AT HONDA OF MILFORD IN THE STATE OF CONNECTICUT IN USA FOR SAFETY RECALL. I WAS DENIED FOR A SERVICE ON SAFETY RECALL AFTER I HAVE ASKED THE RECEPTIONIST AT THE SERVICE DESK WHEN I HE WILL BE ABLE TO HELP ME WHILE I WAS WAITING IN LINE MORE THAN FEW MINUTES. THE RECEPTIONIST WAS USING OBSCENE LANGUAGE WHEN I WAS WAITING IN LINE IN AN UNPROFESSIONAL MANNER. ANOTHER EMPLOYEE OF THIS DEALERSHIP HAS ALSO INVOLVED AND ASKED ME TO LEAVE THE PROPERTY BECAUSE I ASKED HIM WHO HE WAS. I BELIEVE I WAS TREATED UNFAIRLY AND DENIED A SERVICE FOR SAFETY RECALL AFTER SIMPLY ASKING FOR AN ASSISTANCE WHILE WAITING IN LINE. PLEASE, REGARD MY COMPLAINT INTO CONSIDERATION. FEBRUARY 13, 2021 AROUND 11:45 I WAS DRIVING WITH MY SON AND HIS FRIEND & MY DOG WITH ME, I ABOUT TO MAKE A LEFT IN INTERSECTION WHEN I HIT THE GAS PEDAL I HEAR A NOISE UNDER MY CAR (BOOM) THEN THE CAR WON'T GO FOWARD EVEN THOUGH I HIT GAS. THEN I PUT IN REVERSE IT'S THE SAME THING IT WON'T STOP THE CAR ARE STILL MOVING BACKWARD SO I HIT THE BRAKE AND THE CAR STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF INTERSECTION. SO I PUT THE GEAR IN "P" PARK POSITION BUT THE CAR ARE STILL MOVING DOWN THE HILL. SLOWLY BY SLOWLY BACKWARDS AND THEN I HIT THE SNOW ON THE SIDE ROAD THAT'S WHY THE CAR STOP. I'M SO NERVOUS ON THAT MOMENT EVEN MY SON AND HIS FRIEND ARE SCARED.

WENDOVER AVE, GREENSBORO, NC 27407) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE VEHICLE CONSUMED 2 1/2 QUARTS OF OIL PER ONE THOUSAND MILES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND A CASE WAS OPENED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 106,266.
STARTER MALFUNCTIONED WHILE PARKED ON THE STREET. THIS IS A WIDELY REPORTED ISSUE WITH HUNDREDS OF REPORTS ONLINE AND NO RECALL. COST TO REPLACE AT DEALER IS OVER $700. CAR DIED ON THE STREET.
2014 HONDA ACCORD HAD VSA, ABS, TIRE PRESSURE AND EPS (STEERING) LIGHTS ALL COME ON AT RANDOM AND TURN OFF AT RANDOM. THERE IS ALSO A LOSS OF STEERING ACCURACY AT LOW SPEEDS (LOWER THAN 5MPH) ON FULL LOCK. ABS WOULD ENGAGE UNDER BRAKING AT LOW SPEEDS - AT TIMES WHEN THE ABS WAS NOT NECESSARY TO HELP THE STOPPING OF THE VEHICLE, AS WELL AND ENGAGE AND RANDOM TIMES (10-25MPH ROUGHLY). HONDA DEALERSHIP WANTS $1920 TO FIX THE ISSUE, AND STATED THAT THEY SUGGEST NOT TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE UNTIL THE PROBLEM IS FIXED DUE TO IT BEING A SAFETY ISSUE. I FEEL THIS IS INDEED A SAFETY ISSUE FOR NOT ONLY THE DRIVER, BUT OTHERS ON THE ROAD. I AM MAKING THIS COMPLAINT SO THAT BOTH HONDA AND THE NHTSA CAN UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS HAPPENING AND CAN CORRECT IT AND RECALL IT. IF THE US GOVERNMENT MANDATES (SINCE SEPT 1, 2013) CARS MUST HAVE ABS AND ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL (HONDA'S CALLS IT VSA) THAN HOW IS THIS OKAY TO LET HONDAS ON THE ROAD WITH THESE FAILURES. AT THE HIGH PRICE TO FIX THIS ISSUE I DOUBT MANY HONDA OWNERS ARE WILLING TO AFFORD IT.

ADDITIONALLY, WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, THE PASSENGER'S SIDE DOOR OPENED INADVERTENTLY. THE DOOR AJAR WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SONS HONDA PARTS (105 SONS DR, MCDONOUGH, GA 30253, (678)572-1011) TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE ACTUATOR NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 97,253.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ABS AND SEVERAL OTHER UNKNOWN WARNING LIGHTS WERE ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO GREGG ORR HONDA (4701 CENTRAL AVE, HOT SPRINGS, AR 71913, (501) 525-4565) WHO STATED THAT THE ABS MODULE FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 158,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
STEERING WHEEL SUDDENLY LOCKED UP ON ME AS I WAS DRIVING DOWN A 2 LANE CITY STREET. CONDITIONS WERE DRY, AND WAS IN A RESIDENTIAL AREA, SO SPEED LIMIT WAS 35. UPON NOT BEING ABLE TO STEER THE CAR I ENDED UP HITTING A CABLE LINE WIRE, AND WAS SPUN INTO THE FRONT YARD OF SOME TOWNHOMES. I ENDED UP ALSO HITTING SOME LARGE ROCKS AND LANDING IN BETWEEN 2 LARGE TREES. UPON COMING TO A STOP, I THEN REALIZE THAT THE IMPACT HAD ALSO CAUSED MY SIDE AIRBAGS TO DEPLOY. DUE TO THE LOUD CRASH ONE OF THE RESIDENTS CAME OUT TO SEE WHAT HAD HAPPENED AS I HAD LANDED OUTSIDE OF HER HOMES WINDOW. I THEN CONTACTED THE LOCAL POLICE DEPARTMENT, WHO CAME AND DID A REPORT AND CONTACT A LOCAL TOWING AGENCY AS THE CAR WAS NOT DRIVABLE.
THE ENGINE PUSH START BUTTON HAS STOPPED WORKING. THE BATTERY IS NEW, THE STARTER IS GOOD. NUMEROUS ATTEMPTS HAVE TO BE MADE TO START THE VEHICLE. NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS HAVE BEEN FILED WITH HONDA AND THE COMPANY REFUSES TO HELP.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 20V769000 (POWER TRAIN) IN WHICH BOTH THE DRIVER'S AND PASSENGER'S SIDE FRONT DRIVE SHAFTS WERE REPLACED. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT 10 DAYS LATER WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 8 MPH AND MAKING A RIGHT TURN, A LOUD POPPING AND BANGING NOISE FROM THE FRONT END HAD OCCURRED. AFTER STOPPING TO INSPECT THE VEHICLE, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO ROLL AWAY WITH THE SHIFTER IN PARK POSITION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED BACK TO THE DEALER WHO CONFIRMED THAT THE REPLACEMENT DRIVESHAFT HAD FRACTURED AND THE FAILURE WAS DUE TO POOR CASTING OF THE PART. NO FURTHER INFORMATION WAS AVAILABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT YET REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 62,000.
THE CAR WILL NOT START, BUT ONLY SOMETIMES. WHEN YOU PUSH THE BUTTON, THE POWER COMES ON AND IT CLICKS BUT DOESN'T START. SEVERAL LIGHTS COME ON INCLUDING STARTER SYSTEM. IT USUALLY WILL START AFTER A FEW TRIES BUT LAST NIGHT WOULD NOT AT ALL AND I WAS STRANDED IN A PARKING LOT. THERE ARE SEVERAL COMPLAINTS IN THE HONDA FORUMS AND THIS WAS RECALLED AND FIXED FOR THE 2013'S BUT NOT THE 2014"S.
THE FAILING STARTER IS A WELL KNOWN ISSUE AMONG THE HONDA ACCORD COMMUNITY. THE STARTER BEGINS TO FAIL PREMATURELY AND EVENTUALLY WILL FAIL TO START THE CAR LEAVING THE DRIVER AND OR THEIR PASSENGERS STRANDED. THIS CAN HAPPEN AT ANYTIME/ANYWHERE THE VEHICLE NEEDS TO BE STARTED. THERE IS A CURRENT TSB TO REPLACE THE STARTER AND TURN THE FLEX PLATE ONE BOLT HOLE OVER. MANY TIMES THIS HAPPENS AFTER ANY WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED LEAVING THE OWNER TO PAY OUT OF POCKET A LARGE AMOUNT OF MONEY.

HONDA KNOWN SERVICE BULLETIN- AFFECTING 2013-2016 ACCORDS AND 2013-15 CROSS TOURS, THE STARTER GRINDS AND SPINS AT START UP, CAR DOES NOT START. HONDA'S POSSIBLE CAUSES: THE CLEARANCE BETWEEN THE STARTER MOTOR GEAR AND THE TORQUE CONVERTER RING GEAR IS NOT OPTIMAL. SHOULDN'T THIS BE A RECALL? OTHER THAN MY CAR NOT STARTING AND THE COST NEAR $1,000 TO REPAIR, CAN THIS CAUSE A FIRE?
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE REVERSING OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY AT 2-3 MPH, THE REAR VIEW CAMERA BECAME INOPERABLE. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO HUNTINGTON HONDA (1055 E JERICHO TURNPIKE, HUNTINGTON, NY 11743) WHERE THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT IT WAS PROBABLY A SHORT CIRCUIT. BATTERY VOLTAGE TESTED AND MONITORED WHILE TRYING TO START INDICATED IT WASN'T A BATTERY ISSUE. VEHICLE TOWED TO PURCHASING DEALERSHIP.... TOLD I NEED A NEW STARTER...500$+ BILL. EXPECT IT TO BE OUT OF SHOP TOMORROW. BMS RECALLED AND REPLACED IN 2017 BY PREVIOUS OWNER, MY VIN NOT INCLUDED IN STARTER RECALL. BOUGHT WITH 76,000 MILES ON JULY 11TH 2020, STARTER WENT OUT EXACTLY 4 MONTHS LATER NOVEMBER 11TH 2020 WITH 81,000 MILES. 2014 ACCORD LX HUGE BUMMER.. I'M A DIE HARD HONDA FAN AND RECOMMENDER BUT THIS HAS CAUSED LOTS OF INCONVENIENCES. I HOPE HONDA MAKES THIS RIGHT.
I AM RECEIVING A FWS FAILURE LIGHT ON MY DASHBOARD. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY ADVISED THAT THE MODULE THAT CONTROLS THAT SYSTEM NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AT A COST OF ABOUT $1800. IT IS MY BELIEF THAT HONDA SHOULD PAY THE COST TO REPLACE THIS MODULE. IT IS NOT A MATTER OF NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR. ADDITIONALLY THERE IS A RECALL HONDA DTC U0416/68 FOR ANOTHER MODEL.

ON OCTOBER 31, THE AXLE ON MY CARE SNAPPED IN HALF. I WAS IN A SHOPPING CENTER AREA, TRYING TO MAKE A TURN AND THE CAR WOULD NOT MOVE FORWARD OR BACKWARD. I LEARNED THAT THE AXLE WAS BROKEN WHEN I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO A HONDA DEALERSHIP. I HAD THE CAR REPAIRED IN THE AMOUNT OF $312.49. THE MECHANIC TOLD ME THAT THIS WAS A FREAK INCIDENT AND THAT IT WAS A DEFECT IN THE AXLE BECAUSE IT SHOULD NOT HAVE BROKEN IN THAT MANNER. I WANT HONDA TO REIMBURSE FOR THE COST TO REPAIR. IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN MORE OF A SERIOUS SITUATION IF THIS HAD HAPPENED ON THE HIGHWAY.

THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE DEALER REPLACED THE BRAKE PADS AND PROVIDED AN OIL CHANGE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT YET TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 68,000.
