PAINT IS PEELING FROM LEFT PASSENGER PANEL, BY THE TRUNK, AND SPOILER. RIGHT SIDE LOOKS TERRIBLE ALSO.
CAR WOULD NOT START COMPLETELY ONE NIGHT LEAVING ME STRANDED. NOW INTERMITTENT STARTING ISSUES AT LESS THAN 33K MILES. VERY COMMON ISSUE WITH STARTER AND HONDA HAS ISSUED A SERVICE BULLETIN BUT NO RECALL
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT A SPEED OF 65MPH I HEARD A LOUD POP AND THEN GLASS BREAKING. WHEN I STOPPED THE CAR TO SEE WHAT HAPPENED, THE SUNROOF GLASS WAS SHATTERED. LUCKILY THE SUNROOF COVER WAS CLOSED BECAUSE MY SON WAS SITTING IN THE BACKSEAT. THE WEATHER TODAY WAS ABOUT 50 DEGREES AND RAINY. THE CAR WAS PARKED INSIDE OUR GARAGE BEFOREHAND SINCE THE NIGHT BEFORE.
MY STARTER CLICKS ONCE WHEN I TRY TO TURN THE CAR ON, BUT THE CAR WON'T TURN ON. IT'S AN INTERMITTENT THING, BUT HAS STARTED HAPPENING MORE AND MORE OFTEN. I'VE BEEN STRANDED NOW TWO TIMES BECAUSE OF IT.
WHEN PUTTING IN REVERSE OR DRIVE, ENGINE STUTTERS AND ELECTRICAL SYSTEM CUTS OUT AND ENTERTAINMENT CONSOLE REBOOTS. SOMETIMES THE CAR STALLS ALL TOGETHER. REPLACED THE BATTERY AND ALTERNATOR, AND PROBLEM STARTS AGAIN AFTER A FEW WEEKS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED AND SEVERAL UNKNOWN WARNING LIGHTS BECAME ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE HEAD BASKET WAS BLOWN. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO SISK AUTO MALL (4599 FORT CAMPBELL BLVD, HOPKINSVILLE, KY 42240) AND IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT THE HEAD GASKET WAS BLOWN AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT YET REPAIRED. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V121000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED A CASE NUMBER: THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 65,000.
CAR TAKES SEVERAL TRIES BEFORE IT WILL START
AT ONLY 38,XXX MILES THIS VEHICLE HAS INTERMITTENT STARTING ISSUES. INTERNET RESEARCH AND MECHANIC DIAGNOSIS INDICATES THAT THE STARTER NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. IT IS A KNOWN ISSUE AT THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP, BUT YET THEY COULD NOT GIVE ME A CONCRETE ANSWER AS TO IF REPLACING THE STARTER WILL FIX THE PROBLEM LONG TERM. WITH A QUOTED REPLACEMENT COST OF $1,000 I AM LEERY TO HAVE THE STARTER REPLACED IF IT DOES NOT ACTUALLY FIX THE PROBLEM. I HAVE BEEN STRANDED MULTIPLE TIMES IN THE COLD BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUES. A VEHICLE WITH ONLY 38,XXX MILES AND BARELY OUT OF WARRANTY SHOULD NOT BE HAVING THESE ISSUE. I AM OKAY WITH FIXING A FAULTY PART, BUT I AM NOT OKAY WITH A REOCCURRING ISSUES NOT HAVING AN EXACT SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM. ARE THE STARTERS IN THESE VEHICLES TRULY BAD OR IS IT SOMETHING ELSE WITHIN THE CAR THAT IS CAUSING THE STARTER TO BLOW? A RECALL OR RESEARCH OUTSIDE OF HONDA (BECAUSE OBVIOUSLY THEY ARE IGNORING THE ISSUES) NEEDS TO BE ROLLED OUT TO GET TO THE BOTTOM OF, AND FIX, THESE STARTING PROBLEMS. STARTERS SHOULD NOT FAIL PRIOR TO 50,000 MILES. IF THEY ARE CONSTANTLY FAILING AT LOW MILEAGE, THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL DONE WITH THE OPTION OF REPLACING THE ORIGINAL STARTERS WITH NON-FAULTY PARTS. IF THE STARTERS ARE SOLID PARTS AS-IS, RESEARCH NEEDS TO BE DONE TO DETERMINE WHY THE STARTERS ARE FAILING. AT $1,000 PER REPAIR, HONDA IS MAKING TOO MUCH MONEY FIXING KNOWN SAFETY ISSUES WITH THEIR VEHICLES.
MY SIRIUS/XM RADIO RECEPTION IS INTERMITTENT. I'VE HAD IT TO THE DEALER TWICE AND THEY WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. INTERNET SEARCHES SUGGEST THIS IS NOT AN UNCOMMON PROBLEM WITH HONDA VEHICLES. HAS THIS PROBLEM BEEN REPORTED TO NHTSA AND IS NHTSA CONSIDERING A RECALL?
I WAS PULLING SLOWLY INTO A PARKING SPOT IN A PARKING LOT WHEN SUDDENLY CAR ACCELERATED OUT OF CONTROL AND BRAKES DID NOT FUNCTION..CAR WAS GOING EXTREMELY FAST..I HIT A POST AND A BUILDING..AIRBAG DEPLOYED..CAR WAS TOTALED.. AIRBAG SAVED ME. CAR ONLY HAD LITTLE OVER 30,500 MILES..IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. MY FAMILY WHO DROVE THE CAR CAR SAID THAT AT TIMES WHEN RELEASING BRAKE THE CAR WOULD LURCH FAST FORWARD OR BACK WHEN IN REVERSE. WHEN THE CAR CAME TO A STOP AFTER HITTING BUILDING THE 1ST THING I DID WAS LOOK WHERE MY FOOT WAS..IT WAS ON THE BRAKE. I KNEW IT WOULD BE CONSIDERED "DRIVER ERROR" BECAUSE I AM 80 YRS. OLD. BUT IT WAS THE CAR. ACTUALLY THIS HAPPENED BEFORE A FEW MONTHS AGO BUT I WAS ABLE TO STOP CAR . SAME SITUATION..PULLING SLOWLY INTO A PARKING SPOT IN A MCDONALD'S PARKING LOT. CAR SUDDENLY ACCELERATED, JUMPED CURB WENT DOWN A HILL AND ENDED UP ON NEW ROAD UNDER CONSTRUCTION..THAT LANE HAD NOT OPENED YET. I MANAGED TO STOP AT BOTTOM OF HILL. CONSUMER HAS INJURIES FROM THE AIRBAGS. I HAVE A CLEAN DRIVING RECORD..NO ACCIDENTS. I AM A RETIRED RN..VERY CLEAR MINDED. NO SERIOUS HEALTH PROBLEMS. *LN*JB
WHEN THE PUSH TO START BUTTON WAS PRESSED, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START. IN ADDITION THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND AN ABNORMAL, THE CAR HAVE 60,644 MILES. THANK YOU
The car will fail to start on random occasions, I needed to get gas an the car would not restart after shutting off for fueling. The car will also not restart after car washes and stall the operation of the wash.
OUR 2015 HONDA ACCORD HAS DEVELOPED A STARTING PROBLEM THE VEHICLE HAS A PUSH BUTTON START AND MORE SO THAN NOT IT TAKES REPEATED PUSHES OF THE START BUTTON FOR THE CAR TO CRANK OVER. THIS CONDITION STARTED ROUGHLY ONE MONTH AGO AND IS VERY CONCERNING TO ME SINCE IT IS MY WIFE'S CAR AND I DON'T WANT HER TO BE STRANDED BECAUSE THE CAR DOESN'T START. WHEN YOU PRESS THE BRAKE AND THE START BUTTON ALL YOU HEAR IS A LOUD CLICK COMING FROM THE STARTER BUT IT DOESN'T CRANK OVER. I HAVE RESEARCHED THE PROBLEM AND FOUND NUMEROUS SIMILAR PROBLEMS WITH 2013 - 2015 HONDA ACCORDS. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD AND HONDA IS BEING VERY IRRESPONSIBLE FOR NOT STEPPING UP TO THE PLATE AND ADMITTING IT IS A VERY SERIOUS PROBLEM. MOST IF NOT ALL OF THE OTHER COMPLAINTS I'VE READ SAY IT IS A STARTER ISSUE AND EVEN THE HONDA DEALERSHIPS ARE SAYING IT IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM!!!
WHEN VEHICLE IS OPERATING IT WILL STALL AND TURN OFF COMPLETELY. ALL CAR WILL TURN OFF AND ALL THE LIGHTS ON THE DASH WOULD FLICKER. IT STALLED ON ME WHEN I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY. MY CAR STOPPED AS I WAS GOING 65 MPH, CARS BEHIND BE SWERVED AS MY CAR CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP ON THE FREEWAY. THE VEHICLE ALSO DOES NOT START WHEN TRYING TO TURN ON. ALL OF THE LIGHTS ON THE DASH WILL JUST FLICKER. I'VE CHANGED THE BATTERY TWO TIMES. I'VE GOT MY CAR DIAGNOSE AT AUTO ZONE AND A FUEL PUMP CODE CAME UP. TOOK IT TO HONDA TO TELL THEM MY SITUATION PAID 130$ FOR THEM TO TELL ME NOTHING IS WRONG. WHEN THEY DID THE DIAGNOSE THEY SAID NOTHING CAME UP ON THEIR END. FEW DAYS LATER I DROVE IT AND MY CAR STALLED OUT AGAIN. I TOOK IT TO AUTO ZONE AND THEY SAID NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH MY CAR. I AM AFRAID IF I DRIVE IT, IT WILL STALL AND I WILL GET INTO A CRASH. NOBODY CAN DIAGNOSE THE CAR BECAUSE NO CODE POPS UP ANYMORE, BUT MY CAR STILL STALL OUT.
2015 HONDA ACCORD SPORT WON'T START INTERMITTENTLY. I WAS GETTING IN MY CAR TO GO TO WORK, WHEN I TURNED THE KEY AND IT CLICKS ON THE FIRST TRY, THEN WILL START ON THE SECOND TRY. TODAY, I HAD TO TRY THREE TIMES BEFORE IT WOULD START. I GOT THE BATTERY AND STARTER TESTED AND THEY WERE BOTH GOOD.
WHILE DRIVING OUR 2015 HONDA ACCORD NORTH ON I-15 NEAR SALT LAKE CITY, UT, WE HEARD A VERY LOUD, EXPLOSION LIKE NOISE ON THE TOP OF OUR CAR. WE EXITED THE INTERSTATE AND FOUND THAT THE SUNROOF WAS SHATTERED. IT HAD EXPLODED! THE AREAS OF THE CAR SURROUNDING THE SUNROOF WERE NOT AFFECTED.
VEHICLE WILL NOT START WHILE IN PARK. ALL LIGHTS, DASH LIGHTS, ETC COME ON IN THE ACCESSORY POSITION, BUT WHEN YOU TURN THE KEY TO IGNITION, THE STARTER DOES NOT ENGAGE. IF YOU TAKE THE DRIVE SELECTOR TO NEUTRAL IT WILL START. THIS IS AN INTERMITTENT PROBLEM THAT CONTINUES TO HAPPEN SINCE IT FIRST STARTED. SO FAR I HAVE NOT BEEN STRANDED OR NEEDED TO HAVE THE CAR TOWED.
CENTRLOCK SYSTEM IS ACTING WEIRD ON ALL DOORS RANDOMLY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START INTERMITTENTLY AND HAD TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED SEVERAL TIMES DUE TO THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FOLLOWING DAY, THE VEHICLE STARTED AND OPERATED AS INTENDED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE RECURRED AND PERSISTED CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO BECOME UNDRIVEABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THE STARTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS ON THE VIN AND THAT THE REPAIR WAS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 17,000.
AFTER EXITING A DRIVE-THRU CAR WASH, DROVE THROUGH THE PARKING LOT AND STOPPED BEHIND A CAR EXITING VIA A DRIVEWAY ONTO MAIN STREET. WHILE I APPLIED BRAKE THE ENGINE BEGAN TO RACE UP TO 5000 RPM. I WAS UNABLE TO KEEP THE CAR FROM CREEPING FORWARD WITH MAJOR FORCE ON THE BRAKES. I MOVED THE SHIFT LEVER TO N AND PRESSED THE START/STOP BUTTON, SHUTTING DOWN THE ENGINE TO AVOID COLLISION WITH THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. AFTER THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME EXITED, I RE-STARTED THE CAR AND EVERYTHING APPEARED NORMAL. HAVE NOT HAD A RECURRENCE OF THE PROBLEM. HAVE NOT TAKEN THE CAR TO THE DEALER YET BECAUSE I'M NOT SURE THAT I TRUST THEM. SIMILAR PREVIOUS COMPLAINTS: 11331361, 11235107, 11142830, 11121723, 11119028, 11062545, 10948426 & 10860066. SEEMS TO BE A SERIOUS RECURRING SAFETY ISSUE.
ATTEMPT TO START CAR FIRST THING IN THE AM. CAR IS IN THE GARAGE. DOES NOT START, AND THE FCW, LDW, TIRE PRESSURE, POWER STEERING, ENGINE CHECK, LIGHTS COME ON. READING THE CODES SHOWS P2101 SET. THIS HAS HAPPENED 3 TIMES. FIRST TIME, AAA CHECKED AND CHARGED BATTERY AND A ERASED P2101 CODE. SECOND TIME AAA CHECKED BATTERY SAID IT WAS BAD, REPLACED BATTERY, I RESET P2101 CODE. THIS LAST TIME, A FEW WEEKS AFTER NEW BATTERY INSTALLED, TRIED MULTIPLE TIMES TO START. ON THIRD TRY CAR STARTED, RAN OK, THE FCW, LDW, AND OTHER ABOVE MENTIONED CODE WERE ON. READ THE CODE AND IT WAS P2101. TRIED RESETTING CODES, WAS UNABLE TO RESET CODE. DROVE THE CAR FOR AWHILE, RAN FINE. THIS IS AN INTERMITTENT PROBLEM AND COULD BE A SAFETY ISSUE. DOING AN INTERNET SEARCH, I SEE THIS HAS BEEN A PROBLEM WITH HONDA ACCORD SINCE 2013. LOOKS LIKE DEALERS ARE UNABLE TO DETERMINE CAUSE. I WILL BE TAKING MY CAR TO THE DEALER SINCE THIS TIME I AM UNABLE TO RESET CODES
CAR STALLS/DIES INTERMITTENTLY WHILE IN REVERSE AND IN MOTION. HAPPENS WHEN GOING SLOWLY TO BACK OUT OF PARKING SPACES OR DRIVEWAY.
THE CAR SOMETIMES WOULD NOT START, I ONLY HEAR A CLICKING SOUND. I KNOW IT IS NOT THE BATTERY BECAUSE WHEN THE CAR STARTS, THE CRANKING NOISE IS VERY GOOD. THIS ISSUE HAPPENED AND CONTINUES TO OCCUR IN THE PAST. I BOUGHT AN EXTENDED WARRANTY ON THIS CAR, PROMISING A STRESS FREE MAINTENANCE. I HAVE TAKEN THE CAR TO A HONDA DEALERSHIP BUT I GET A PUSH BACK SAYING "IF THE ISSUE NOT PRESENT DURING, THEY CANNOT TROUBLESHOOT ANYTHING". THIS IS TOUGH FOR CONSUMER LIKE ME THAT WAS CONVINCED TO PURCHASE EXTENDED WARRANTY WHERE I FEEL IT'S USELESS AND WASTE OF MONEY TO WHAT CAUSED ME BUT STRESSED AND WORRY. I'VE RECENTLY NOTICED SMALL OIL SPOTS ON MY GARAGE FLOOR. MY CAR DOES NOT ACCELERATE SMOOTHLY AND HAS ALSO STARTED TO STALL WHEN I'M INITIALLY STARTING IT. THE STALLING SEEMS TO BE WORSE WHEN THE CAR HAS COOLED OFF BUT ONCE IT FINALLY STARTS, IT IS RUNNING ROUGH UNTIL I HIT A STABLE SPEED. IT ALSO SEEMS TO RUN ROUGHER WHEN MAKING TURNS (WHICH IS TYPICALLY WHEN I'M ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE). IT HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR THE PAST 3-6 MONTHS, ALTHOUGH INCONSISTENT. I'VE ALSO HAD A NEW BATTERY EVERY YEAR SINCE I'VE OWNED THIS VEHICLE DESPITE RECALLS ON BATTERY PARTS/SENSORS.
I HAVE HAD SEVERAL ISSUES WITH THE CAR NOT STARTING AND WITH REPLACING BATTERIES. IN FIVE YEARS, I HAVE HAD 4 BATTERIES. SOMETIMES THE CAR STARTS RIGHT AWAY, SOME TIMES IT TAKES SEVERAL TRY'S, TAKE A BREAK AND TRY AGAIN. FRUSTRATING IS REALLY AN UNDERSTATEMENT. I HAVE BEEN STRANDED AT WORK, IN PARKING LOTS AND IN MY GARAGE. I KEEP MY CAR SERVICED. I JUST TOOK IT IN JULY 3 FOR OIL CHANGE. THE TIME BEFORE, AFTER THE CHECKED MY TIRES IN THE DRIVE IN BAY, THEY ASKED ME IF I ALWAYS HAVE A DIFFICULT TIME STARTING MY CAR, I TOLD THEM YES, AND ASKED THEM TO CHECK. OF COURSE THEY FOUND NOTHING. MAYBE NOW THAT THE CAR IS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY, MAYBE THEY WILL FIGURE OUT WHAT HAPPENING. THE FEAR OF GETTING STRANDED AT NIGHT AT MY PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT ACROSS THE BRIDGE OR IN THE DEAD OF WINTER IS UNSAFE AND UNSETTLING. I NOTED THAT THERE ARE SEVERAL SIMILAR ISSUES IN THIS FORUM, I WOULD THINK HONDA WOULD FIND A FIX FOR THE TRULY OBVIOUS PROBLEM. THIS WAS MY THIRD HONDA, MORE THAN LIKELY , MY LAST. JUST TODAY, I GOT INTO THE CAR AND IT STARTED RIGHT AWAY. I WENT TO THE GROCERY STORE, GOT IN THE CAR ABOUT THIRTY MINUTES LATER AND IT STARTED RIGHT AWAY. I LEFT THERE AND WENT TO GET GAS. I GOT BACK IN THE CAR, TRIED TO START THE ENGINE AND I GOT NOTHING. I LITERALLY SAT AT THE SERVICE STATION FOR 15 MINUTES, TRYING TO START MY CAR. JUST AS I WAS READY TO CALL FOR A TOW, IT STARTED. THIS IS RIDICULOUS.
I WAS ABOUT TO PARK MY 2015 HONDA ACCORD LX IN A PARKING SPOT IN PARKING LOT IN FRONT OF A SHOPPING CENTRE. THE CAR WAS CRUISING AT 2-3 MILES PER HOUR AT THIS TIME. THERE WAS A SUDDEN AND RAPID ACCELERATION WHICH WAS HIGHLY DISPROPORTIONATE TO THE SLOW SPEED WHILE I WAS ENTERING THE PARKING SPOT. I APPLIED THE BRAKES BUT IT DIDN'T HELP STOP OR SLOW DOWN THE VEHICLE. THE CAR MOVED FORWARD WITH THE SAME RAPID ACCELERATION IN THE EMPTY PARKING SPOT IN FRONT AND STARTED MOVING TOWARDS THE NEXT PARKING ROW IN FRONT. I SWUNG THE CAR TO THE RIGHT ON TO THE ROAD BETWEEN THE TWO PARKING ROWS IN ORDER TO AVOID COLLISION WITH THE CARS IN THE NEXT ROW. THE CAR WAS STILL MOVING WITH RAPID ACCELERATION. I TRIED APPLYING BRAKES HARD BUT THE CAR WOULDN'T SLOW DOWN OR STOP. I BRUSHED THE BUMPER OF ANOTHER CAR IN THE PROCESS. I FINALLY HIT ANOTHER CAR PARKED NEAR A CURB AT THE END OF THE PARKING LOT. THE IMPACT WAS SO HIGH THAT THE OTHER CAR SWUNG 90 DEGREES. MY CAR STOPPED AFTER GETTING STUCK ON THE CURB AND WEDGED AGAINST THE OTHER CAR. THE AIRBAGS EXPLODED DUE TO THE HUGE IMPACT. I SURVIVED THE ACCIDENT WITH BRUISES AND BUMPS ON MY HANDS, KNEES, AND FEET. FORTUNATELY, NO OTHER PERSON IN THE PARKING LOT WAS INJURED IN THE ACCIDENT. HELLO THE CAR WAS WORKING FINE YESTERDAY AND TODAY WILL NOT START. THIS HAS HAPPENED BEFORE . IT MAKES CLICKING BUT REFUSES TO START. I HAD IT CHECKED AT NTB COULD NOR FIND ANY ISSUES WITH BATTERY. STARTED CAR, DROVE ON HIGHWAY 20 MILES. PARKED CAR TO RUN AN ERRAND. TRIED TO START CAR 5 MINS LATER; LIGHTS LIT UP ON DASH BUT CAR WOULD NOT START. TRIED SEVERAL TIMES, FINALLY WAS SUCCESSFUL STARTING CAR AND CONTINUED DRIVE TO WORK. DROVE TO MADISON HONDA, RT 24, MADISON, NJ. ADVISED THEM OF ISSUE WHILE CAR WAS RUNNING. THEY EXAMINED CAR AND CAME BACK 45 MINS LATER SAYING ALL SYSTEMS (BATTERY, STARTER AND ALTERNATOR) WERE IN GOOD WORKING ORDER. NO ISSUES FOUND. THEY COULD NOT REPEAT MY PROBLEM SO DISREGARDED IT. DROVE LAST 10 MINS TO MY OFFICE. SEVERAL HOURS LATER, TRIED TO START CAR, WOULD NOT CRANK. TRIED SEVERAL MORE TIMES, STILL NOTHING. I FELT STRANDED AT THIS LOCATION WITH NO MEANS OF GETTING HOME. WAITED A FEW MINUTES AND TRIED AGAIN AND IT STARTED WITH NO PROBLEM. EVERY MORNING SINCE THIS BEGAN IT'S THE SAME THING. THE CAR IS UNRELIABLE. YESTERDAY HAD TO TRY A HANDFUL OF TIMES BEFORE IT STARTED. TODAY I TRIED TO START THE CAR FOR 25 MINUTES BEFORE I WAS SUCCESSFUL. DROVE TO MY MEETING AND LATER BEGAN HAVING PROBLEMS STARTING THE CAR AGAIN. PROBLEM IS QUICKLY AND PROGRESSIVELY GETTING WORSE.THIS CAR HAS LESS THAN 80,000 MILES ON IT. I HAVE OWNED THIS VEHICLE SINCE EARLY 2015. THE DEALERSHIP HAS TAKEN CARE OF REGULAR MAINTENANCE. THIS VEHICLE IS UNSAFE. I NEVER KNOW IF AND WHEN IT WILL START AGAIN! THE TIRES HAD NOT BEEN REPLACED AS OF YET. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED, HOWEVER, THE CONTACT HAD NOT HEARD BACK FROM THE MANUFACTURER. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE OF THE VEHICLE WAS 60,000 AND THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE OF THE TIRE WAS 5,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. *JB

Possible starter/electrical issue when trying to start vehicle. Will start up with no problems at time and then others it will only click and display all dash lights. At times it will take only a few attempts and then it will start while other times it takes several minutes to start. This has been an issue leaving you stranded in a excessively hot vehicle oftentimes with small children in car seats in the back with no air. Dealers say this is a common issue with this make and model although no recall has been put in place. This issue first began in 2020 and has been intermittent since then.

THE CONTACT SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES BURSES ON BOTH ARMS. A POLICE REPORT WAS MADE. STATE FARM WAS CONTACTED AND TOWED THE VEHICLE TO A LOT WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS DEEMED A TOTAL LOSS. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 76,000.

When driving our 2015 Honda Accord, without warning or message, the steering of the car just stopped and our safety was put at risk. The wheel was unresponsive, rendering the car not steerable. It was like the old no power steering days when your tried to turn the steering wheel while in a parked position - not responsive. We couldn't drive the car and had it towed. This happened while driving! The dealer wrote it up as "The power setting light is on" which was not indicative of the loss of steering while the car was being driven. Since the car was towed to the dealership, we did not see the service write-up until a week later. They said the "these things can just happen when electronics are involved" The replaced the Electric Power Steering Rack and Pinion which was over $2,000.00
