MY BATTERY IS EXPERIENCING AN ELECTRICAL SHORTAGE EVERY TIME I START MY CAR, WHEN I TAP THE BATTERY CHANNELS THE CAR STARTS AGAIN AND I HAVE TO REPROGRAM DUE TO SHUT DOWN. IT HAS CONTINUE TO HAPPEN AS OF JULY 15,2019.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE PARKING AND THE BRAKE PEDAL DEPRESSED, THE VEHICLE UNINTENDEDLY ACCELERATED FORWARD. THE CONTACT STATED THEY DROVE OVER A CURB, CRASHED THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE INTO A SIGN AND A BUSH. THE CONTACT STATED NO WARNING LIGHTS WERE ILLUMINATED. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. NO POLICE REPORT. THE CONTACT DID NOT SUSTAINED ANY INJURIES OR MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE CONTACT STATED ROAD SIDE ASSIST WAS ABLE TO CHANGE INTO A SPARE TIRE AND DRIVE TO THEIR RESIDENCE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, WHERE THE BUMPER, DRIVER SIDE DOOR AND TIRE WERE REPLACED. THE CONTACT CALLED LOCAL DEALER CURRY HONDA YORKTOWN LOCATED AT 3845 CROMPOND ROAD, YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, NEW YORK 10598, (914) 739-7600, WHERE THEY WERE MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. *AS *TR
THERE ARE TIMES WHEN MY CAR WON'T START ON THE FIRST TRY. IT SOME TIMES TAKES 3 OR 4 TRIES. WE HAVE CHECKED THE BATERRY AND ITS WORKING JUST FINE. IT SEEMS LIKE ITS THE STARTER. IT KEEPS HAPPENING MORE OFTEN NOW.
GOT OFF WORK ONE NIGHT GOT IN MY CAR TO GO HOME TURN THE KEY AND IT DON'T START. SO THEN I TRY TO REMOVE THE KEY IT ALSO WOULD NOT LET ME REMOVE IT FROM THE IGNITION. SO THEN I PULLED THE HOOD RELEASE. WHEN I OPENED THE HOOD I SEE A SQUIRREL UNDER THE HOOD. HAD THE CAR TOWED TO HONDA DEALERSHIP THEY TOLD ME A RODENT CHEWED UP SOME WIRING SO IT MADE THE CAR THINK IT WAS IN GEAR THAT'S WHY IT WOULDN'T START. I DID A LITTLE RESEARCH COME TO FIND OUT THE WIRING IN THE HONDA ARE SOY-COATED WIRING AND RODENTS LOVE CHEWING ON THAT.
I HAVE BEEN STRANDED MULTIPLE TIMES DUE TO MY 2015 HONDA ACCORD COUPE NOT STARTING. ONE TIME I WAS PARKED OUT OF TOWN. ANOTHER TIME I WAS IN TOWN, AFTER STOPPING MY VEHICLE AT A RESIDENCE WHERE I WAS VISITING. I HAVE REPLACED THE ALTERNATOR AND BATTERY. THE OTHER DAY IT TOOK 50 ATTEMPTS BEFORE MY CAR FINALLY STARTED. THIS IS AN INTERMITTENT ISSUE. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO WONDER IF MY 4 YEAR OLD CAR WILL START WHEN I NEED TO GO SOMEWHERE. THE STARTER IS $640.00 PLUS TAX AND AFTER PUTTING APPROX $700.00 IN ALREADY TO ONLY CONTINUE TO HAVE THE SAME ISSUE, I AM NOT WILLING TO PUT MORE MONEY IN TO POSSIBLY SOLVE THE ISSUE. THIS HAS BEEN A GROWING CONCERN FOR NUMEROUS PEOPLE ON A CAR DISCUSSION BOARD. SOME HAVE REPLACED THE STARTER AND STILL HAVE THE ISSUE. I HAVE THE RECEIPTS FOR THE BATTERY AND ALTERNATOR IF NEEDED.
I WAS DRIVING MY 2015 HONDA ACCORD ON MY NORMAL DRIVE HOME FROM WORK ON JULY 1, 2019 WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN I HEARD A WEIRD POW SOUND. NOT KNOWING WHAT IT WAS I SLOWED DOWN BECAUSE I THOUGHT EITHER I RAN OVER SOMETHING OR SOME OTHER VEHICLE HAD AN ISSUE. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I REALIZED THAT MY ENTIRE SUNROOF HAD EXPLODED / SHATTER UNDER UNKNOWN CIRCUMSTANCES. I WAS AN THE INTERSTATE DRIVING 65 MPH IN LIGHT TRAFFIC AND THE WEATHER WAS PARTLY CLEAR.
MY VEHICLE'S STARTER PERIODICALLY GRINDS AND WILL NOT ENGAGE THE RING GEAR TO START THE ENGINE. HONDA HAS ACKNOWLEDGED THAT IMPROPER INSTALLATION AT THE FACTORY CAUSED THE CLEARANCE BETWEEN THE STARTER MOTOR GEAR AND TORQUE CONVERTER RING GEAR TO BE IMPROPER. SEE TSB 16-002. THE STARTER WILL ENGAGE AFTER REPEATED (SOMETIMES 5+) ATTEMPTS. IF THE VEHICLE WERE TO EXPERIENCE A STALL WHILE DRIVING, THE INABILITY TO RESTART THE ENGINE COULD LEAD TO A CRASH. IN ADDITION, A STARTER THAT RANDOMLY AND UNEXPECTEDLY FAILS TO ENGAGE COULD CAUSE A DRIVER TO BE STRANDED IN POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS WEATHER CONDITIONS. HONDA HAS DECLINED TO EXTEND WARRANTY COVERAGE TO THIS PART THAT HAS FAILED DUE TO AN ADMITTED ERROR ON THEIR PART.

I HAVE STARTED TO EXPERIENCE, NOW ON THREE SEPARATE OCCASIONS, GRINDING OF THE STARTER AS DESCRIBED IN HONDA TSB 16-002. APPARENTLY THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN WELL DOCUMENTED BY OTHER CONSUMERS. I FEEL THIS IS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT THAT HONDA CONTINUES TO DENY. I WISH TO ADD MY COMPLAINT TO THE OTHERS IN HOPES OF EVENTUALLY HAVING A RECALL ISSUED.
MY 2015 HONDA ACCORD SPORT STARTED GIVING ME TROUBLE BY NOT STARTING. IT WOULD DO IT EVERY ONCE IN AWHILE STARTING THE SUMMER OF 2019. BY THE WINTER, IT WASN'T STARTING UP UP TO 3 TIMES A WEEK. EVENTUALLY BY THE SUMMER OF 2020, THE CAR WOULDN'T START AT ALL.
ON GOING STARTING PROBLEM. FOR THE LAST SEVERAL MONTH EVERY TIME IN THE MORNINGS IT HESITATE TO START. SOMETIME IT TAKE SEVEN OR MORE TRY TO GET THE CAR STARTED BY PUTTING IN TO NEUTRAL, TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL, PUMP THE BRAKE ETC. DON'T KNOW WHY AND HOW AND WHO WILL BE RESPONSIBLE TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM?
THIS CAR HAS A PUSH BUTTON START. YOU ENGAGE THE BRAKE AND PRESS THE BUTTON TO START. IT WILL NOT START. IT ONLY MAKES A GRINDING SOUND. I CAN RELEASE THE BRAKE, PRESS THE START BUTTON TO DISENGAGE THE START EFFORT. THEN REAPPLY THE BRAKE, PRESS THE START. SOMETIMES IT WILL THEN CRANK AND SOMETIMES I HAVE TO GO THROUGH THIS SCENARIO MULTIPLE TIMES BEFORE IT WILL CRANK. THIS ISSUE DOES NOT HAPPEN EVERY TIME YOU ATTEMPT TO CRANK THE CAR BUT THE PROBLEM WITH THAT IS YOU NEVER KNOW WHEN IT WILL AND WHEN IT WON'T. I'M VERY CONCERNED WHEN IS IT GOING TO FINALLY NOT CRANK AND WHERE MIGHT I BE, THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. THIS HAS BEEN REPORTED TO THE DEALERSHIP MANY TIMES, ONLY TO GET THE RESPONSE, "THE STARTER IS GOING BAD", THIS VEHICLE HAS LESS THAN 70,000 MILES AND THIS CHAIN OF EVENTS HAS BEEN GOING ON OVER A YEAR. I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE NEW AND IT HAS BEEN SERVICED REGULARLY AT THE DEALERSHIP. I ALSO HAVE ANOTHER HONDA ACCORD 2014 (VIN#[XXX]) THAT HAS THE EXACT SAME ISSUE. HORN BUTTON ( LEFT SIDE) ON THE STEERING WILL NOT WORK. DEPRESSING THE HORN BUTTON ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE STEERING WHEEL WILL NOT ACTIVATE THE HORN. RIGHT SIDE IS OK.
PURCHASED VEHICLE A YEAR AGO AND HAVING PROBLEMS WITH PUSH BUTTON STARTER. LIGHTS AND RADIO WILL COME ON BUT WHEN YOU PUSH THE BUTTON TO START IT JUST CLICKS. HAVE REPLACED BATTERY TWICE AND HAD NEW STARTER AND STILL HAVING PROBLEMS

MANUAL TRANSMISSION KEEPS SLIPPING OUT OF 2ND GEAR AND CAN'T ENGAGE IN 2ND GEAR. WAS TOLD FROM TRANSMISSIONS SHOPS THAT THIS PROBLEM IS HAPPENING WITH OTHER 2015 HONDA ACCORDS WITH LOW MILEAGE.
I TRIED TO START MY VEHICLE WITH THE PUSH BUTTON AND IT WON'T START. ONLY 62000 MILES AND THE BATTERY TESTED GOOD. SEEMS TO BE THE STARTER OR SOMETHING ELECTRONIC THAT IS FAILING. BUT SOMETIMES IT FIRES RIGHT UP. I'VE READ STARTERS HAVE BEEN AN ISSUE AND WANTED TO REPORT MINE AS WELL.
2015 HONDA HAS INTERMITTENT ISSUES WITH STARTING. I HEAR A CLICK AND THEN IT DOESN'T START. MY RADIO SHOWS AND SO DO MY DASH LIGHTS. IT DOESN'T SEEM TO BE RESETTING MY RADIO CLOCK. I PLUG A JUMPER PACK IN AND IT IMMEDIATELY STARTS. I TOOK IT TO AUTOZONE AND MY BATTERY IS 100%. I TOOK IT TO THE HONDA DEALERSHIP AND THEY STATE THAT MY BATTERY, STARTER, AND ALTERNATOR ARE WORKING GREAT. THEY SAY THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY CAR, BUT ONCE I LEAVE TO STOP IN TO A STORE FOR 10 MINUTES, IT SUDDENLY WON'T START AGAIN. IT IS HAPPENING JUST OUT OF THE WARRANTY PERIOD. I BOUGHT THIS CERTIFIED USED IN JUNE LAST YEAR AND THIS IS MY THIRD BATTERY. I AM JUMPING MY CAR REGULARLY EACH DAY AS I DRIVE AROUND.

BROUGHT THE CAR USED FROM DEALER AND AFTER 6 MONTHS I TRIED TO START THE CAR AND ONLY HEAD A CLICK NOISE. THE CAR WAS PARKED, CLUTCH PRESSED TO THE FLOOR AND GEAR SHIFT IN NEUTRAL. THIS ONLY HAPPENS SPONTANEOUSLY, I TOOK THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY KEPT THE CAR FOR A FEW DAYS AND SAID THE THEY COULDN'T REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM. LONG STORY SHORT THIS CONTINUED TO HAPPEN FOR ABOUT 2 WEEKS, FINALLY THE OWNER OF THE LOT WAS THERE WHEN I CAME TO PICK UP THE CAR AND IT WOULDN'T START, HE TRIED TO START THE CAR MORE THAN 10 TIMES, AND FINALLY DIAGNOSE THE STARTED BEING THE PROBLEM. HAD THE STARTER REPLACED UNDER MY EXTENDED WARRANTY. MAYBE 2 WEEKS AFTER THE REPLACEMENT, THE ISSUE BEGAN TO HAPPEN AGAIN. FOR ONLY HAVING THIS CAR FOR A YEAR AND TO NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE DRIVING IT, I FEEL DISCOURAGED. IT IS A BIG INCONVENIENCE WONDERING IF YOUR CAR IS GOING TO START OR NOT WHEN YOU TURN IT OFF.
TRY TO START VEHICLE AND ONE FAINT CLICK HAPPENS, NO START. PROBLEM PERSISTS. IF I WAIT A MINUTE OR SO AND TRY AGAIN, SOMETIMES IT WILL WORK. OTHER TIMES, I'VE NEEDED SOMEONE TO JUMP MY CAR. THE HONDA DEALERSHIP SAYS EVERYTHING IS FINE. REPLACED THE BATTERY 7 MONTHS AGO. THIS HAS OCCURRED ABOUT 5 TIMES OVER THE LAST 2.5 MONTHS. BOTH IN THE MORNING AND LATER IN THE DAY. BOTH COOLER WEATHER AND WARMER. CAR IS USUALLY STATIONARY FOR 8-12 HRS BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO START THE VEHICLE.
I WAS INVOLVED AN ACCIDENT AND MY AIRBAG DIDN'T WORKS, WAS A VERY STRONG HITTING, I WAS WAITING IN THE RED LIGHT AND A DODGE CARAVAN HIT ME IN THE FRONT VERY STRONG WHEN SHE MISSED THE RED LIGHT
THE STARTER MOTOR SOLENOID FAILS TO ENGAGE CAUSING THE ENGINE TO NOT START. THIS STARTED AT AROUND 38,000 MILES AND HAS GOTTEN PROGRESSIVELY WORSE. THE ONLY SOLUTION IS TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE STARTER MOTOR.
WHY IS THERE EXCESSIVE AND UNEVEN REAR WHEEL BREAK PAD WEAR ON MY 2015 HONDA ACCORD EX-L V-6 ? THIS CAR HAS ALWAYS BEEN DRIVEN SIGNIFICANTLY MORE ON THE HIGHWAY THEN IN THE CITY. AND THE WORST OF THE EXCESSIVE REAR BRAKE PAD WEAR OCCURRED DURING THE LAST 8743 MILES. I BOUGHT THIS CERTIFIED VEHICLE 8/7/16 FROM DUBLIN HONDA. THIS VEHICLE HAS A BACK UP CAMERA AS A SAFETY FEATURE THAT IS STANDARD ON ALL MODELS. IT HAS A DEFECTIVE BACKUP CAMERA. BACK UP CAMERA IS COMPLETELY BLACK WHEN I BACK UP. HONDA SHOULD BE RESPONSABLE TO REPLACE DEFECTIVE CAMERAS AS THEY ARE NOT OPTIONAL
THE CAR WAS PARKED AND WOULD NOT START.. THE DASH BOARD DID NOT LIGHT UP. I OPENED THE ACCESS PANEL ON THE GEAR SHIFT AND PUT THE KEY IN AND THE CAR STARTED AFTER 2 ATTEMPTS. PREVIOUSLY, I HAD TROUBLE STARTING THE CAR, BUT IT WOULD START. I CALLED CAREY PAUL HONDA AND AN ADVISOR SAID IT SHOULD BE CORRECTED WHEN THE NEW SENSOR WAS PUT IN. I MADE AN APPOINTMENT AND THE NEW SENSOR WAS PUT IN A WHILE AGO. NOW I'M HAVING EXTENSIVE PROBLEMS WITH THE CAR STARTING. THIS IS A PUSH BUTTON TO START VEHICLE.

THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 31,000.
PERFORMED THE RECALL NHTSA CAMPAIGN 19V060000 WHICH REPROGRAMMED THE FUEL INJECTION ENGINE CONTROL UNIT SOFTWARE AND THE VERY NEXT DAY THE SYSTEM IS GIVING ME CHECK ENGINE CODE P0328 KNOCK SENSOR VOLTAGE HIGH. WHAT'S UP WITH THIS?
PROBLEMS WITH THE CAR STARTING. AFTER PRESSING THE START BUTTON IT SOUNDS LIKE STATIC, CLICKS, OR DOES NOTHING AT ALL. EXTENDED WARRANTY HAS REPLACED, BATTERY AND STARTER TWICE IN A 2 MONTH PERIOD AND STILL SAME PROBLEM. CAR ONLY HAS 56,000 MILES. DEALER CAN'T SEEM TO FIX PROBLEM. HAVE HAD CAR ONLY 13 MONTHS.

IN 4 YEARS I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE BATTERY TWICE AND NOW I AM HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE STARTER. AND THE CAR HAS ONLY 48000 MILES. POOR QUALITY PRODUCTS INSTALLED ON HONDA CARS THAT USED TO BE ONE OF THE MOST RELIABLES IN THE MARKET

WHILE THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, THE VEHICLE STALLED. ADDITIONALLY, WHEN THE PUSH START BUTTON WAS ENGAGED, THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL GRINDING NOISE DETECTED AND THE BUTTON HAD TO BE PUSHED MULTIPLE TIMES TO START THE VEHICLE. FURTHERMORE, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR WAS ILLUMINATED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 09827357. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 52,000.
FUEL SYSTEM, OTHER:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP AFTER HAVING THIS RECALL DONE ON MY CAR, I AM NOW HAVING FUEL ISSUES AS IF ITS NOT GETTING ENOUGH FUEL OR IT USES WAY TO MUCH. I USED HALF A TANK OF GAS TO GO 60 MILES. AND THEN ON THE WAY BACK I USED 1/8 OF A TANK. THIS WAS ALL INTERSTATE MILES BUT 10 MILES AND THAT WAS HIGHWAY.
DRIVING ON HWY STEERING BEGAN TO PULL. I ATTEMPTED TO CORRECT WHEN I NOTED STEERING WAS MORE DIFFICULT. I WAS ABLE TO PULL OFF THE HWY BUT FOUND WHEN I STOPPED I WAS UNABLE TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL AT ALL. I THEN CALLED MY HUSBAND AND INFORMED HIM OF MY SITUATON. THE DEALERSHIP SAYS IT'S THE RACK AND PINION POWER STEERING. I ONLY HAVE 19,000 MILES ON THIS VEHICLE
PERIODICALLY MY CAR WOULDN'T START AND I WOULD GET A GRINDING SOUND FROM THE STARTER EARLY IN THE MORNING WHEN IT'S OARKED IN MY DRIVE WAY. ALSO WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY DRIVING AFTER PUTTING A FULL TANK OF GAS IN MY CAR I WOULD SOMETIMES GET A BOGGING DOWN ISSUE AS IF I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH GAS OR AS IF THE MOTOR ISN'T GETTING ENOUGH GAS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 HONDA ACCORD. WHEN THE CONTACT'S WIFE ATTEMPTED TO START THE VEHICLE BY PUSHING THE START BUTTON, THE ENGINE WOULD NOT START. THE CONTACT'S WIFE MADE SEVERAL ATTEMPTS BEFORE THE ENGINE FINALLY STARTED. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED, BUT THE CONTACT PLANNED TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT SOON. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 104,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 HONDA ACCORD EQUIPPED WITH CONTINENTAL CONTI PRO CONTACT TIRES, SIZE: 235/40R1996V (NA). THE CONTACT HEARD AN ABNORMAL CLICKING, RUBBING NOISE COMING FROM THE TIRES. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE NOISE WAS OVERBEARING AND WOULD NOT RELENT. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO CONCORD HONDA (1461 CONCORD AVE, CONCORD, CA 94520, (855) 679-6829), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE SERVICE ADVISER STATED THAT THE TIRE DID NOT MATCH THE WHEEL AND THIS WAS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THE MANUFACTURER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE VEHICLE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 20,420. THE TIRE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
AS I WAS DRIVING ON FREEWAY THE STEERING WHEEL STOPPED WORKING, THE STEERING WHEEL WAS LOCKED AND COULDN'T MOVE AND THE CAR WAS STILL DRIVING AT 65 MPH
TAKARA INFLATORS DIDN'T DEPLOY WHEN MY VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IS A HORRIBLE FRONT END ACCIDENT INVOLVING INJURIES ALSO AD FOR THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM PROBLEM MY CLIMATE CONTROL NEVER TURNS ON AND I'VE BEEN BACK AND FORTH AT THE HONDA DEALER SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND THEY CAN'T SEEM TO FIND THE ISSUE THEY TOLD ME ITS SOMETHING TO DO WITH ELECTRICAL
JUNE 2018 I TOOK MY 2015 HONDA ACCORD FOR A BATTERY SENSOR RECALL. THE HONDA DEALER REPLACED THE BATTERY SENSOR. NOW I'M HAVING ISSUE OF CAR NOT START. AT FIRST I THOUGHT IT WAS THE BATTERY. THE HONDA DEALER TESTED THE BATTERY AND THE BATTERY IS GOOD. AFTER SEVERAL WEEKS THE CAR WON'T START AGAIN. AFTER READING A SERVICE BULLETIN ABOUT THE BATTERY SENSOR. I TESTED THE BATTERY SENSOR AND IT THE TEST. THE BATTERY SENSOR THAT THE HONDA DEALER REPLACED WAS FAULTY AFTER 9 MONTHS OF USE.
WHILE DRIVING ALL MY LIGHTS CAME ON IT IS DUE TO THE ABS GOING OUT BUT MY WARRANTY IS UP. SEVERAL PEOPLE HAVE GONE INTO NY MECHANIC AND THIS MUST BE FIXED BECAUSE IF THERE IS A TRUE PROBLEM, I WOULDN'T KNOW IT DUE TO THE FACT ALL LIGHTS ARE ON. THE PART ALONE IS 1500 DOLLARS. WHY NOT FIX THIS ISSUE SO CONSUMERS ARE OUT OF POCKET FOR SOMETHING THAT IS FAULTY. THE BURLESON DEALERSHIP STATED IT WAS A COMPUTER IN MY CAR THAT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. CHARGING ME A 100 DOLLARS JUST TO GIVE ME THE WRONG INFO. AND SAYING THE WORK WOULD BE OVER 2500 DOLLARS. I WAS ON THE HWY WHEN ALL LIGHTS CAME ON.
THE VEHICLE WAS UNABLE TO START. JUMPED THE CAR WITH ANOTHER CAR VIA BATTERY CABLE THEN IT STARTED. DROVED THE CAR HOME ABOUT 4 MILE DRIVE. CHECKED BATTERY VOLTAGE WHILE THE CAR IS RUNNING AND IT READS 12.4 VOLTS WHICH IS A LOW READING. TURNED OFF THE CAR AND TRIED TO RESTART AND THE CAR WON'T START. CHARGED THE BATTERY WITH A BATTERY CHARGER AND RESTARTED THE CAR AGAIN THIS TIME THE CAR STARTED. CHECKED THE BATTERY VOLTAGE AGAIN WHILE IT RUNNING AND THIS TIME BATTERY VOLTAGE READS 14.5 VOLTS. SOME WEIRD IS HAPPENING WITH THE CHARGING SYSTEM WITH THIS CAR. THIS HAPPEN 3 TIMES ALREADY. IT'S INTERMITTENT PROBLEM THAT IT WON'T START. IT'S NOT THE BATTERY AND IT'S NOT THE ALTERNATOR.
STARTER WENT OUT. REPLACED STARTER. STARTER BEGAN TO ACT UP AGAIN. STARTER OUT AGAIN. COULD POSSIBLY BE A PROBLEM WITH A PART THAT IS CONNECTED TO THE STARTER.
STARTER GRINDING NOISE! ASKED HONDA DEALER ABOUT THE GRINDING NOISE? THEY COULD NOT GET THE STARTER TO MAKE THE NOISE(38,139 MILES((5/2017)). SPEED AHEAD 1 1/2 YEARS. I PUT 2 STARTERS AND A NEW BATTERY(2/19). STILL HAVING GRINDING ISSUES(51,326 MILES). CALLED AMERICAN HONDA CORP. TO SEE ABOUT ANY RECALLS.THEY WANTED A HONDA DEALER TO DIAGNOSE COMPLAINT. JUST GOT BACK FROM DEALER(2-16-2019). THE HONDA DEALER TOLD ME ABOUT A SERVICE BULLETIN: STARTER GRINDING OR SPINS AT STARTUP. (2013-2016 ACCORD V6 A/T ONLY & 2013-2015 CROSSTOUR V6 A/T ONLY). CORRECTIVE ACTION: REPLACE STARTER (PT# 31200-5G0-A04) AND ROTATE THE TORQUE CONVERTER CLOCKWISE 1 BOLT HOLE). THE HONDA DEALER SAID IT WOULD COST ROUGHLY $600 PLUS DOLLARS TO REMEDY THE PROBLEM. IF THIS IS SUCH AN ISSUE ON THESE SPECIFIC VEHICLES, THEN WHY IS THERE NOT A RECALL!!!
THE ACTUATORS ON THE DRIVERS SIDE AND THE PASSENGERS REAR DOOR ARE BOTH BAD MECHANIC COULD NOT FIX BECAUSE OF SUCH HIGH DEMAND THERE WAS NONE IN STOCK SEEMED TO BE A DEFECT ON MANUFACTURER
