MY BATTERY IS HAVING TROUBLE. CAR CONTINUES TO RANDOMLY DIE. THERE ARE NO LIGHTS OR ITEMS BEING LEFT ON WHILE I AM OUTSIDE OF MY VEHICLE. BATTERY HAS BEEN TESTED AND REPLACED WITH SAME ISSUE. INSIDE CAR ALL ELECTRICAL STARTS TO FLASH QUICKLY WHEN TRYING TO START MY CAR (THIS SHOWS CAR IS DEAD)
CAR WOULDN'T START ALL ELECTRIC SYSTEMS DOWN. CAR SHUTDOWN NO LIGHTS NO ENGINES. NO POWER AT ALL.
FOR THE PAST FEW MONTHS MY CAR HAS BEEN HAVING TROUBLE TURNING ON. I HAVE HAD TO CALL GEICO FOR A JUMP START ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS ALREADY. SOMETIMES WHEN I PRESS THE POWER BUTTON, IT STRUGGLES TO TURN ON AND I HAVE TO TRY MULTIPLE TIMES. OTHER TIMES IT WON'T TURN ON UNLESS I USE THE REMOTE START OPTION WITH MY KEY. THE CAR HAS NEVER TURNED OFF ON MY WHILE I AM DRIVING, BUT A FEW TIMES WHILE I AM DRIVING, THE DISPLAY RESTARTS AND IT STARTLES ME BECAUSE IT GOES COMPLETELY BLANK AS IF THE CAR IS GOING TO SHUT OFF.
THE CAR WOULD GIVE A HARD TIME STARTING ONCE A WEEK, THIS STARTED 3 WEEKS AGO, THEN LAST WEEK IT JUST STOPPED TURNING ON, AFTER TRYING COUPLE OF TIMES , I TURNED IT ON, DROVE TO THE HONDA DEALERSHIP WERE THEY TOLD ME THAT I NEEDED A NEW BATTERY AND A NEW STARTER. THEY WOULD NOT COVER IT SINCE THE CAR PASSED THE 36,000MILES, IT HAD 42,000MILES. I NOTICED ANOTHER CAR SIMILAR TO MINE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AT THE DEALERSHIP, SO I WENT ONLINE TO RESEARCH THIS ISSUE AND FOUND OUT THAT HONDA KNEW ABOUT THIS PROBLEM HAPPENING QUIET OFTEN AND DID NOT ISSUE A RECALL AS WELL AS THEM HAVING A CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT REGARDING THIS MATTER. I HAVE DONE ALL THE WORK AT A HONDA DEALERSHIP AND HAVE DOCUMENTS AND RECEIPTS IT COSTED ME ABOUT 840$$ WHICH IS A LOT OF MONEY FOR A RELATIVELY NEW CAR.
LOW TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR LIGHT COMES ON INTERMITTENTLY, HOWEVER WHEN CHECKED TIRE PRESSURES ARE FINE - THIS OCCURED OVER THE FIRST YEAR OF OWNING THE CAR, FINALLY THE DEALERSHIP SAID THEY RESOLVED THE ISSUE AND HAD INFLATED ALL TIRES TO 32 PSI AND RESET SENORS. HOWEVER CHECKING THE TIRE PRESSURE TODAY, (AT THE DEALERSHIP) ALL 4 TIRES WERE AT 21 PSI AND NO SENSOR LIGHT FOR LOW PRESSURE WAS ON. DURING THE FIRST THREE EPISODES OF LOW TIRE LIGHT - A FORMAL COMPLAINT WAS FILED WITH HONDA, THEY ASSURED US THAT THE PROBLEM WAS RESOLVED, HOWEVER APPEARS TO STILL BE AN ISSUE, DRIVING ON 4 UNDERINFLATED TIRES IS ALSO A SERIOUS RISK (WE ONLY HAD THEM CHECKED BECAUSE OF THE CHANGE IN SEASONS FOR WINTER TO SPRING). WAS TOLD BY HONDA THE SENSOR ISSUE IS "USUALLY A DRIVER ISSUE, NOT A SENSOR ISSUE".
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START AND A GRINDING NOISE WAS HEARD. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO UNIVERSITY HONDA OF FLORENCE (250 COX CREEK PKWY, FLORENCE, AL 35630 (256) 760-7400) WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE STARTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND WAS AWAITING ON A RESPONSE FROM THE DEALER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 45,000.
CVTRANSMISSION FAILED IN TRAFFIC LEAVING CAR STRANDED ON BUSY HWY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS A CONSTANT LOSS OF ELECTRICAL POWER WITH THE VEHICLE. THE BATTERY SENSOR SHORTED OUT, CAUSING THE CONTACT TO HAVE TO RECHARGE THE BATTERY. THE BATTERY HAD BEEN REPLACED SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V418000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE REPAIR WAS PERFORMED BY JOHN EAGLE HONDA OF HOUSTON (18787 NORTHWEST FWY, HOUSTON, TX 77065, (281) 955-6666); HOWEVER, THE CONTACT FELT THAT THE REPAIR WAS INSUFFICIENT. IN ADDITION, THE SERVICE ENGINE INDICATOR WAS ILLUMINATING. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS EXCLUDED FROM NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V121000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
TOWARDS THE END OF 2017, I HAD MY HONDA ACCORD SERVICE AS A RESULT OF THE BATTERY DEFECT RECALL. AFTER SUCH REPAIR, MY VEHICLE STALLED ON A BUSY HIGHWAY BACK IN FEBRUARY 2018. I BOUGHT THE CAR NEW AND IT HAD APPROXIMATELY 45,000 MILES THE HONDA DEALER STATED IT WAS THE ALTERNATOR AND CHARGED ME TO REPAIR IT . HOWEVER, ON 4/1/18 THE CAR STALLED ONCE AGAIN AND I THE ENGINE WOULD NOT START. I HAVE RESEARCHED THIS ISSUE AND IT APPEARS THE TOO MANY 2015 HONDA ACCORDS ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM FOLLOWING THE BATTERY DEFECT RECALL. THIS IS A SAFETY RISK, SINCE THE VEHICLE LOSES ALL POWER LEAVING ONE VULNERABLE TO BING HIT BY OTHER VEHICLES WHEN THE CAR STALLS. MY CAR PANEL/ SYSTEM DOES NOT GIVE ANY WARNING PRIOR TO SHUTTING DOWN ALL POWER WHILE THE CAR IS ON MOTION. ONCE THE CAR STALLS, ONE CAN NOT TURN THE ENGINE BACK ON. I TRULY BELIEVE THAT THIS HAS TO BE INVESTIGATED BEFORE SOME ONE IS KILLED AS A RESULT THAT F THIS DEFECT ON THE HONDA ACCORD.
The Electronic Power Steering fails constantly and at random times during various conditions.
, WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY IT WAS PERFECTLY FINE BUT WHEN TIME CAME TO GET OFF I STOPED AT THE FIRST LIGHT, TRIED TO DRIVE OFF THEN THE CAR STARTED PULLING, TOOK OFF DRIVING THEN THE CAR JUST TOTALLY SHUT OFF NO TYPE OF WARNING THAT THERE MIGHT BE A PROBLEM AND ALSO NO DASH BOARD LIGHTS LITE UP TO NOTIFY ME THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM
I RECEIVED THE NOTICE OF THE RECALL FOR THE BATTERY SENSOR AND TOOK THE CAR IN AUGUST BUT THE DEALER SAID THAT THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE PART. NEXT MAINTENANCE IN NOVEMBER I REMINDED THEM OF THE RECALL ON THE BATTERY AND THEY GAVE ME THE TEMPORARY FIXING. SHORTLY AFTER THIS THE BATTERY STARTED TO FAIL. I WOULD HAVE MY CAR PARKED AND IT WOULDN'T TURN ON. THIS HAS BEEN MORE CONSTANT NOW. WENT BACK TO THE DEALER MARCH 7, 2018 AND I MENTIONED ABOUT THE BATTERY AND THEY TOLD ME THE BATTERY WAS FINE THAT NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH IT.ON THE THIRD DAY AFTER MY BATTERY DIED 2 TIMES AFTER HAVING IT OFF FOR LESS THEN 10 MINUTES. AND HAD TO JUMP START IT. I HAVE SEEN THAT MANY HAVE SAID THE SOLUTION IS TO BUY A NEW BATTERY BUT THE CAR IS JUST 2 YEARS SINCE I BOUGHT IT NEW AND MY MILEAGE IS NOT EVEN 40,000 MILES YET. HONDA SHOULD BE THE ONE TO FIX THIS.

REAR TIRES WEAR UNEVENLY ON THE INSIDE, CAR HAD 14000 MILES AND HAD REPLACE THE TIRES DUE EXCESSIVE NOISE. SECOND SET OF TIRES WEARING THE SAME WAY. UNADJUSTABLE CAMBER ISSUE. SAFETY ISSUE, SUSPENSION FAILURE MAY OCCUR.
REAR BRAKE WEAR- 2015 ACCORD 4DR. WE NEEDED TO HAVE THE CAR SERVICED AT 42K MILES BECAUSE THE ORIGINAL BATTERY DIED. DURING INSPECTION WE WERE TOLD THAT THE REAR BRAKES WERE "ALMOST METAL ON METAL". SERVICE MANAGER LIED AND TOLD MY WIFE THAT THIS WAS "NORMAL FOR NEWER CARS". BRAKE WEAR IS GENERALLY 70/30 FRONT TO REAR, NEVER REAR BRAKES FIRST. UPON FURTHER INSPECTION, ONLY 1 OUT OF THE 4 REAR PADS WAS WORN DOWN TO 2MM, AND THE OTHER 3 WERE AT LEAST 4MM. THIS CLEARLY INDICATING A MECHANICAL PROBLEM OR FROZEN CALIPER. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN MY DEALER AND HONDA.
FAULTY BRAKE CALIPERS: MY 2015 ACCORD 4DR WITH 42K MILES WAS RECENTLY AT THE HONDA DEALER HERE IN GREENWICH, CT. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT REPORTED THAT THE REAR BRAKES WERE "ALMOST METAL ON METAL" AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. I REMINDED THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT THAT REAR BRAKES SHOULD NEVER WEAR OUR BEFORE FRONT BRAKES. THEY REPLIED THAT THIS IS "NORMAL IN NEWER CARS". I ASKED TO RETAIN THE PARTS FOR EXAMINATION. NO SURPRISE THAT THE PADS ARE WORN ABNORMALLY. ONLY ONE OF THE FOUR REAR PADS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED (SEE PHOTO), CLEARLY INDICATING A STICKING CALIPER. I WANTED TO NOTIFY NHTSA AS THIS MAY BE A SAFELY CONCERN, AND NOT JUST POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.
MY SUNROOF EXPLODED TWICE WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, JANUARY 31, 2018 AND AGAIN ON FEBRUARY 26, 2018. AFTER ESCALATING MY CONCERNS TO HONDA CORPORATE IN CALIFORNIA, LUCAS HONDA MADE THE REPAIRS, ALTHOUGH THE SECOND REPAIR WAS IMPROPERLY DONE. I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO LUCAS HONDA MARCH 13, 2018 FOR THE SECOND REPAIR BECAUSE IT WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE WITH ALL THE LOOSE AND BROKEN GLASS EVERYWHERE, PLUS I HAD JUST RETURNED TO FL FROM TX AFTER HAVING MAJOR SURGERY WHICH LIMITED MY MOBILITY. I CALLED AND EMAILED TRACY TO LET HIM KNOW THAT THERE WAS A SMALL GAP IN THE RUBBER LINING THAT WAS AFFIXED TO THE GLASS AS WELL AS THERE WAS STILL LOOSE GLASS THAT I COULD HEAR WHEN TURNING THE CAR OR OPENING THE SUNROOF. IN FACT, THE SUNROOF JAMMED AND IT TOOK ABOUT 10 MINUTES TO GET IT CLOSED AGAIN, FROM THAT POINT I DIDN'T OPEN IT AGAIN. HE LEFT A VOICEMAIL ON 03/16/18 SAYING THAT ONCE IT HEATS UP THE RUBBER SHOULD MOLD IN PLACE SECURING THE GLASS. I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM DARIAN CURTIS AT HONDA CORPORATE THAT A DISTRICT PARTS AND SERVICE MANAGER WOULD BE OVERSEEING THE 3RD REPAIR. I PICKED UP MY CAR SHORTLY THEREAFTER AND HAVE HEARD NOTHING ELSE,NO EXPLANATION,NO RESOLUTION, NOTHING AT ALL. I HAVE SINCE TRADED IN THE VEHICLE FOR SOMETHING ELSE SINCE IT IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE AND I AM FEARFUL OF DRIVING IT. THESE UNEXPLAINED INSTANCES COULD CAUSE HARM TO ME AND OTHER DRIVERS ON THE ROAD.

THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 60,000.
THE PLASTIC CASE OF THE BATTERY SENSOR MAY HAVE GAPS THAT ALLOW MOISTURE TO ENTER THE SENSOR. IF MOISTURE CONTAINING CONDUCTIVE SUBSTANCES (SUCH AS ROAD SALT) ENTERS THE BATTERY SENSOR, IT COULD CAUSE AN ELECTRICAL SHORT AND SUBSEQUENTLY, A FIRE.
THE HAND BREAK HAS COME LOOSE IT USES TO COME UP ONLY ONE CLICK BUT NOW IT GOES UP 6-7 CLICKS. CHANGED REST BREAK PADS BUT NO RESOLUTION. ALSO WHEN I ACTIVATE THE HAMSBREAK THE RIGHT SIDE GOES NOT SEEM TO ENGAGE
WHEN THE CAR STARTS DRIVING FIRST THING IN THE MORNING ON COLD DAYS THERE THERE A BRIEF BUZZING SOUND COMING FROM THE FRONT RIGHT SIDE OF THE CAR. THIS IS MORE PRONOUNCED AND REGULAR WHEN TRACTION CONTROL COMES ON. IT DIDN'T HAPPEN FOR THE FIRST 2 AND HALF YEARS BIT NOW IS IS QUITE COMMON.
BATTERY DIED SUDDENLY, WITHOUT WARNING. ON 1/1/2018, I DRIVE TO THE GAS STATION ON MY WAY TO THE AIRPORT. I TURNED MY CAR OFF AND NOTICED THAT PUMP WAS OUT OF OF ORDER SO STARTED MY CAR AND DROVE TO ANOTHER PUMP WITHOUT ISSUE. I FILLED UP MY TANK, WHICH TOOK ABOUT 4 GALLONS OF GAS, THEN WHEN I TRIED SO START MY CAR IT WOULD NOT START. I HAVE PUSH BUTTON START AND ALL OF THE ELECTRONICS WORKED BUT THE IGNITION WOULD NOT TURN OVER. THE DASH BLINKED. I TRIED 3 MORE TIMES AND THE BRAKE PEDAL FELT VERY TIGHT AND THE CAR STILL WOULD NOT START. THIS LEFT ME STRANDED AT THE GAS STATION. I HAD TO CALL ROADSIDE RESCUE. WHEN THE GUY JUMPED MY BATTERY HE SAID MY BATTERY WAS SO LOW THAT WHEN I TURN MY CAR OFF NEXT TIME IT WOULD NOT START AGAIN. THIS IS AT 6AM IN THE MORNING ON A HOLIDAY, AND I'M SUPPOSED TO BE PARKING MY CAR FOR 5 DAYS ST THE AIRPORT. I HAD TO CANCEL MY FLIGHT AND FIND A PLACE TO BUY A NEW BATTERY THAT SAME DAY, WITHOUT HAVING TO TURN MY CAR OFF. THE BATTERY COST ALMOST $200. THIS CAR WAS PURCHASED BRAND NEW FROM DEALER SO IT HAD THE ORIGINAL BATTERY THAT CAME WITH THE CAR WITHIN. I ALSO HAVE ALL MAINTENANCE DONE AT DEALER, MOST RECENTLY TWO MONTHS PREVIOUS, WHERE ALL THINGS CHECKED WERE LISTED AS OK. THIS CAR WAS PURCHASED IN JULY 2015. THE BATTERY SHOULD NOT HAVE FAILED SO QUICKLY. THE CAR HAD 56,165 AT THE TIME OF BATTERY FAILURE. THERE WAS NO WARNING. THE CAR HAS NEVER NOT STARTED. THIS WAS VERY DANGEROUS. I KNOW ABOUT THE RECALL ON THE BATTERY SENSOR, AND WE RECEIVED THE TEMPORARY FIX AND WILL GET THE PERMANENT FIX DURING OUR NEXT MAINTENANCE, HOWEVER I FIND IT STRANGE THAT MY BATTERY FAILED IN BETWEEN. I'VE NEVER, SINCE I'VE OWNED A CAR, HAD TO REPLACE A CAR BATTERY IN JUST 2.5 YEARS OF USAGE.
The engine makes a very loud rattle at cold startup for about 1 to 3 seconds. It only makes this noise when starting the car for the first time that day, unless it has been sitting for 5+ hours, then will rattle again at cold startup. Also, The engine burns 1 quart of oil approximately every 2500-3000 miles requiring additional oil to be added.
BATTERY HAS LEFT ME STRANDED 3+ TIMES. NOT TO MENTION THAT I HAVE TAKEN IN THE CAR A FEW TIMES DUE TO ALL THE RE-CALLS ITS HARD. BATTERY AND ELECTRONICA BLUE TOOTH HAS ITS ISSUES AS WELL. NOT KEEPING MY CONNECTION CLEAR AND WILL HAVE MY CALLS BECOME CHIPMUNKS CONNECTION AND LOUD NOISE ON THE OTHER END OF THE LINE MAKING IT DIFFICULT FOR BLUETOOTH DEVISE FUNCTION USABLE & THAT IS A SAFE ROAD HAZARD, PLEASE ADVISE [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).'*JB
UPON BREAKING CAR ACCELERATED, HAPPENED ON TWO OCCASIONS, BROUGHT CAR TO HONDA AND THEY FOUND NO DEFECTS. HAPPENED AGAIN WITH MORE SEVERITY, INFORMED HONDA AND TO DATE THEY HAVE NOR CONTACTED ME REGARDING THIS SAME PROBLEM.
TAKATA RECALL - WHILE DRIVING HOME ON THE SOUTHERN STATE PARKWAY, A LEVELED HIGHWAY, I VEERED TOWARDS THE RIGHT IN AN EFFORT TO AVOID A POTENTIAL ACCIDENT WITH ANOTHER CAR SPEEDING FROM BEHIND ME. CAR PASSED ON MY LEFT - ALL WAS OK. THEN AS I WENT FROM THE BREAK PEDDLE TO THE GAS PEDDLE, BOOM THEN DRIVER SIDE AND DRIVER SEAT AIRBAGS DEPLOYED ON MY 2015 HONDA ACCORD, THE STEERING WHEEL BEGAN TO LOCKED, PULLING ME TOWARDS THE LEFT, ALL OF THIS WITHOUT COLLISION OR KNOWN IMPACT TO THE CAR.

THE CONTACT CALLED DAVID MCDAVID HONDA OF IRVING (3700 W AIRPORT FWY, IRVING, TX 75062, 469-713-3594) MORE THAN THREE TIMES AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE AND AN APPOINTMENT WOULD BE SCHEDULED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.
THE DRIVERS SEAT TRIM HAS FALLEN OFF NOW FOR THE 4TH TIME. THE LAST TIME I HAD IT FIXED IT LOOKED LIKE IT MIGHT STAY IN PLACE. I AM THE ONLY PERSON THAT DRIVES THE CAR AND DO NOT MOVE IT FROM THE POSITION IT IS IN. I BELIEVE IT IS REALLY THE SEAT THAT IS THE PROBLEM AND NO TRIM WILL EVER STAY PUT. IT IS A DEFECT BECAUSE OTHERS HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. VERY UPSET. I BELIEVE HONDA NEEDS TO BE RESPONSIBLE AND FIX IT FOR GOOD
ON WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 8TH MY WIFE WENT OUT TO START OUR 2015 HONDA ACCORD WITH 38,531 MILES. THE CAR DID NOT START. WE HAD THE CAR TOWED TO UNIVERSITY HONDA. THE SERVICE ADVISOR CHECKED THE CAR OUT AND SAID THAT THE CAR BATTERY WAS DEAD. WE WERE REQUIRED TO PURCHASE A NEW BATTERY FOR $127.63. I CONTACTED AMERICAN HONDA REQUESTING TO BE REIMBURSED THE $127.63. THEY OPENED A CASE #06448979. MY CAR IS 2,531 MILES OUTSIDE ITS WARRANTY. IT HAS A RECALL NOTICE FOR FAULTY BATTERY SENSORS. THE CAR WAS PURCHASED 7/31/15, SO THE BATTERY FAILED AFTER ONLY 27 MONTHS. THE NEW BATTERY THAT I PURCHASED FROM HONDA HAS A 100 MONTH WARRANTY WITH NO MILEAGE LIMIT. A REASONABLE PERSON WOULD EXPECT A NEW CAR BATTERY TO LAST LONGER THAN 27 MONTHS, ESPECIALLY SINCE WHEN HONDA SELLS THE BATTERY SEPARATELY FROM THE CAR YOU ARE GIVEN A 100 MONTH WARRANTY. SO EITHER THE BATTERY WAS FAULTY OR THE FAULTY BATTERY SENSORS CAUSED THE BATTERY TO FAIL PREMATURELY. TIA FROM AMERICAN HONDA STATED THAT THE BATTERY WAS BEYOND THE 36,000 MILE WARRANTY AND ALL SHE COULD DO IS GIVE ME 'HONDA DOLLARS' THAT I CAN SPEND ON HONDA PRODUCTS. SHE WOULD NOT LET ME TALK TO ANYONE ELSE. AFTER RESEARCHING THIS ISSUE ONLINE AND TALKING TO MECHANICS, IT SEEMS THAT HONDA HAS SOLD CARS WITH FAULTY ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS THAT CAUSE BATTERIES TO FAIL PREMATURELY. I WOULD LIKE HONDA TO REIMBURSE ME FOR THE COSTS THAT I HAVE INCURRED AND RECALL THEIR FAULTY BATTERIES.
I WAS INFORMED OF A RECALL AFFECTING THE BATTERY/CHARGING SYSTEM OF THE VEHICLE. THE MENTIONED ISSUE ALREADY CAUSED MY BATTERY TO FAIL AS WELL. WHEN I TOOK THE CAR IN FOR THE REPAIR THE BATTERY SENSOR WAS REPLACED FREE OF CHARGE. THE BATTERY WAS TESTED AND WAS NO GOOD. THIS IS A DIRECT RESULT OF THE FAILED BATTERY SENSING WHICH WAS CAUSING A CHARGING SYSTEM PROBLEM. I HAD TO PAY FOR $118.10 FOR THE BATTERY. I FEEL I SHOULD BE REIMBURSED FOR THE BATTERY. ALSO, I HAD ALREADY TAKEN THE CAR IN A FEW MONTHS BEFORE FOR THE CHARGING ISSUE. I WAS MADE TO FEEL LIKE AN IDIOT. THE RECALL WAS NOT OUT AT THE TIME.
OLDER PEOPLE HAVE A HIGH END HEARING LOSS. HENCE, THE DRIVER WHO HAS THE SIGNAL ON CANNOT HEAR IT AND IT MISLEADS ON-COMING AND FOLLOWING VEHICLES. IT SHOULD BE CHANGED TO A LOW PITCH WHICH PEOPLE WITH HEARING LOSS WILL BE ABLE TO HEAR. YES I KNOW THERE IS A FLASHING LIGHT ON THE DASH BUT IT IS NOT LIKE THE ONE ONE THAT VEHICLE HAS WHEN YOU MOVE OUT OF YOUR LANE OR DO NOT SLOW DOWN FOR A STOPPED VEHICLE. THOSE GIVE A FLASHING LIGHT BUT ALSO A LOUD SOUND. THE HIGH PITCH TURN SIGNAL SOUND IS NOT ONLY A SAFETY HAZARD BUT IT PROBABLY VIOLATES THE DISABILITY ACT. THERE ARE MANY PEOPLE COMPLAINING ON THE INTERNET. I FORGOT THE SIGNAL WAS ON AND ALMOST WAS HIT BY AN ON-COMING VEHICLE AT AN INTERSECTION WHO THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO TURN..
MY ISSUE IS I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE FROM THE HONDA DEALERSHIP AND WITHOUT ANY DISCLOSED INFORMATION, DID THEY SAY ANYTHING ABOUT MY VEHICLE BEING ON RECALL. ALSO I DROVE OUT OF THE DEALERSHIP TOLD THAT MY CAR PASSED THE INSPECTION BUT THEN TOLD ME I HAVE TO GO GET IT INSPECTED. MY VEHICLE FAILED THE INSPECTION AFTER I WAS TOLD THAT IT PASSED WHEN IT WAS AT THE DEALERSHIP. THE MONITOR CATALYST, MONITOR EVAP, MONITOR 02, NONE WE'RE READY FOR AN INSPECTION. I WAS THEN TOLD THAT I HAVE TO KEEP DRIVING THE CAR TO PUT SOME MILES ON IT. NEVER HEARD OF THIS BEFORE THAT'S WHY I AM REACHING OUT.
ON OCTOBER 23RD, 2017 I PRESSED ON A BRAKE PEDAL, THE CAR DID NOT STOP OR SLOW DOWN. I FRANTICALLY STARTED PRESSING IT A NUMBER OF TIMES AND AFTER ABOUT A 3RD TIME, AN INCH AWAY FROM A CAR IN FRONT OF ME, MY CAR FINALLY STOPPED. I WENT STRAIGHT TO THE TAMAROFF HONDA DEALERSHIP WHERE I BOUGHT THE CAR AND THEY COULD NOT FIND A PROBLEM. MY VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION ON A 45 MPH STREET CALLED ORCHARD LAKE.
WENT TO LEAVE FROM OUR GARAGE AND TRIED TO START THE CAR AND IT WOULD NOT CRANK, RADIO COME ON BUT THEN EVERYTHING BEGIN TO FLICKER BUT WOULD NOT START, HOWEVER THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TOME. I TOOK VEHICLE TO HONDA DEALER 2 WKS AGO AND THEY SAID THAT EVERYTHING THEY SEE IS GOOD...BUT IT'S APPARENT SOMETHING IS WRONG.
THE 12-VOLT BATTERY SENSOR CAUSED MY BATTERY TO OVERCHARGE AND SPILL OUT MOST OF THE BATTERY ACID AND CORRODED THE CABLES. THE SENSOR FAILED TO ALERT ME OF THE BATTERY'S STATE OF CHARGE AND AND NOW I HAVE A DEAD BATTERY. HONDA OF MORGAN HILL WILL NOT REPLACE MY BATTERY EVEN THOUGH IT WAS CASED BY THE FAULTY SENSOR. THEY ARE HAVING ME PICK UP MY CAR WITH A DEAD BATTERY AND WILL NOT REPLACE IT UNTIL I PAY FOR A NEW BATTERY. YES, MY CAR IS PASSED THE 36K MILES BUT THE BATTERY AND CAR IS ONLY 2 YEARS OLD.
PRIOR TO TODAY, I HAD AN INSTANCE WHERE ALL MY PANEL LIGHTS CAME ON AND MY CAR FAILED TO START. AFTER DOING RESEARCH I LEARNED IT COULD BE RELATED TO A RECALL. I CALLED THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP TO SCHEDULE THE RECALL REPAIR AND WAS TOLD THE PARTS WERE NOT YET AVAILABLE AND THEY COULD PROVIDE A 'TEMPORARY FIX' IF NEEDED UNTIL THE PARTS WERE AVAILABLE. I ELECTED NOT TO HAVE A TEMPORARY FIX AND WAIT FOR THE PARTS TO BE SAFE. WHEN GOING IN TODAY (2 MONTHS LATER) FOR AN OIL CHANGE AND TIRE BALANCE I ASKED ABOUT THE RECALL AND IF THE PARTS WERE AVAILABLE. I WAS TOLD THEY WERE SO I GAVE PERMISSION FOR THE RECALL REPAIR TO BE COMPLETED WHILE THE HAD MY CAR FOR THE OTHER SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE. I PICKED UP MY CAR AT 5:45 AFTER BEING TOLD THE REPAIRS WERE COMPLETE. I LEFT THE DEALER AND WENT TO A RESTAURANT AND WHEN I GOT BACK TO MY CAR AND TRIED TO START IT, ALL THE PANEL LIGHTS CAME ON AGAIN AND IT FAILED TO START LEAVING ME STRANDED WITH MY 8 YEAR OLD SON 20 MINUTES FROM MY HOME. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP FOR ASSISTANCE AND THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT WAS CLOSED. I WAS TOLD MY A SALESMAN TO BRING MY CAR IN TOMORROW MORNING. I EXPRESSED MY GRAVE CONCERN WITH THE CONDITION OF THE CAR CONSIDERING THE REPAIRS WERE SUPPOSED TO BE DONE AND THE POSSIBILITY OF IT TURNING OFF OR NOT STARTING. I DID NOT WANT TO CHANCE DRIVING THE CAR AS I DID NOT FEEL IT WAS SAFE. WHILE WAITING FOR A RIDE, THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND DISPLAY CONTINUED TO BLINK AND TURN ON AND OFF WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO START THE CAR. WHEN MY RIDE ARRIVES, WE JUMPED OFF MY BATTERY TO SEE IF IT WOULD START. IT STARTED BUT WAS WEAK. I DROVE BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP (5 MILES) WHILE BEING FOLLOWED BY MY FRIEND. I LEFT THE CAR AND WAS GIVEN A LOANER IN HOPES THE REPAIRS CAN BE SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED. I WORRY THAT THE REPAIR WON'T BE PROPERLY FIXED (THEY DON'T HAVE THE PART)AND MY SAFETY AND MY SON'S SAFETY WILL BE COMPROMISED.

THERE WAS NO WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT RECEIVED MEDICAL ASSISTANCE AT THE SCENE OF THE CRASH. THE CONTACT HAD A GASH ON HIS FOREHEAD. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE RESIDENCE. THE CONTACT LATER HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO INSPECTED AND REPAIRED THE DAMAGE DONE TO THE UNDERCARRIAGE OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED THAT THE FAILURE WAS A RESULT OF A STEERING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 39,000.
I was driving in the outer lane on a city street when my car suddenly turned and hit the curb, sending the car down a hill. The brakes didn’t work either and I hit two trees headon. All airbags deployed. An electrical fire started under the hood. Two men came and shut off the power. The car was towed and declared a total loss. I was taken to the hospital by ambulance. The only person that I know of that inspected the car was the claims adjuster. There was no warning that anything was wrong. If anyone had been in the path of the car, I would have been unable to stop or turn.
I HAD A RECALLED DATED AUGUST 2017 TO GET THE VEHICLE TO A NEARBY DEALER PROBLEM INDICATED ON THE LETTER: A BATTERY SENSOR CASE MOUNTED ON TOP THE 12V BATTERY WHICH MAY HAVE GAPS THAT COULD ALLOW FOR MOISTURE TO ENTER THE SENSOR. I TOOK IT TO A DEALER OF HONDA OF NEW ROCHELLE IN NY. I WAS TOLD THE PART IS NOT AVAILABLE AND THAT AMERICAN HONDA WILL REISSUE A LETTER. IN 2016 HOWLING, HUMMING NOISE STARTED IN REAR WHEEL WHEN DRIVING BETWEEN 40-55 MPH ON BOTH CITY STREETS AND HIGHWAY. NOISE WOULD INCREASE WITH SPEED. DEALERSHIP DIAGNOSED FAULTY WHEEL BEARING AND REPLACED IT UNDER WARRANTY ON FEB 13, 2017 AT 22,600 MILES. AFTER RETURNING HOME FROM VACATION IN FL, THE NOISE STARTED AGAIN. THE CAR WAS TAKEN TO MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND WAS DIAGNOSED AGAIN WITH A FAULTY WHEEL BEARING AT 26,690 MILES. RESEARCH HAS SHOWN THIS IS A RECURRING ISSUE FOR THE 2014-2015 MODEL YEARS FOR MY VEHICLE. MY WARRANTY WILL BE UP IN NOVEMBER 2017 AND I AM CONCERNED THAT I MAY CONTINUE TO HAVE RECURRING ISSUES AND EXPENSES DUE TO THIS KNOWN PROBLEM. I HAVE BEEN A LOYAL HONDA CUSTOMER AND WANT TO KNOW WHAT HONDA CAN DO TO REMEDY THIS ISSUE. A VEHICLE OF THIS AGE AND MILEAGE SHOULD NOT BE EXPERIENCING THIS ISSUE.
TAKATA RECALL EVERYTIME MY CAR RUNS THRU A DITCH THE LOW TIRE LIGHT COMES ON . I PUT AIR REST THE CALIBRATION AND IN A FEW DAYS I WOULD HIT ANOTHER DITCH AND THE SAME STEPS OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
THE BRAKE ROTORS WARPED WHEN I INITIALLY CONTACYED THE HONDA DEALER THE SAID THE CHATTERING FROM MY BRAKES WAS COMMON WITH ANTI LOCK BRAKES.I KNEW THIS WAS A LIE AND FINALLY MADE THEM TURN THE ROTORS. 220 BUCKS LATER THE BRAKES WORKED. THEY E SHOULD HAVE DONE IT FOR FREE.
DURING STAND STILL AND DRIVING, WHEN I STEP ON ACCELERATION PEDAL THE CAR OFTEN TIME HESITATES TO MOVE. TO AVOID AN ACCIDENT, I HAVE TO PRESS HARD ON ACCELERATION PEDAL, THEN SHE MOVES TOO FAST. IN AN ANOTHER WORD, I CAN'T CONTROL THE CAR SPEED IN THE WAY I WANT AT 60 PERCENT OF THE TIME.

I RECENTLY PURCHASED A HONDA ACCORD COUPE 2015 WITH LESS THAN 20K MILES AND HAD 2 OCCURANCES WHERE THE CAR WOULDN'T START. THE WARNING SIGN SAID FCW SYSTEM FAILED AND WOULDN'T START. DID SEVERAL THINGS, CALLED FOR HELP AT THE DEALER AND AFTER 20 MINUTES LATER, IT RANDOMLY STARTED. THE SECOND TIME MY GIRLFRIEND WAS DRIVING IT TO THE GROCERY STORE AND WHEN SHE WAS GETTING READY LEAVE, IT DID THE SAME THING TO HER. LUCKILY HER WORK WAS ACROSS THE STREET AND CAME BACK AFTER HER BRAKE 2 HOURS LATER AND RANDOMLY STARTED. THIS CAR WAS NEVER LISTED IN A WRECK, HAS A 1 YEAR OLD NEW BATTERY WHICH WAS REPLACE LAST YEAR EVEN THOUGH IT'S A 2015 AND I'M REPORTING THIS AUGUST 2017.
