I HIT A POTHOLE AND THE AIRBAG WAS DEPLOYED.
WHILE I WAS DRIVING THE SEAT BELT DEPLOYED AND LOCKED UP ON ME AND I WASN'T IN A CRASH. I HAD ALREADY HAD IT REPLACED (PAID ABOUT $700) AND IT LOCKED UP (DEPLOYED) AGAIN WITHOUT A CRASH. HONDA REFUSES TO COVER IT. ONE HONDA DEALER HAD ME DRIVE TO ANOTHER (WITHOUT A WORKING SEAT BELT) AND NEITHER DEALER WILL COVER IT AND HONDA CORPORATE SAID IT WILL NOT BE COVERED.
AIR BAG LIGHT ON
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA CIVIC. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 60 MPH, THE VEHICLE JERKED AND LOST POWER. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT COOLANT HAD TO CONTINUOUSLY BE ADDED TO THE VEHICLE AND THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MULTIPLE DEALERS, WHO WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE OR REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. WENT TO MY LOCAL HONDA DEALER BECAUSE OF HEAVY VIBRATION WHILE DRIVING. DEALERSHIP INFORMED ME THAT I NEEDED TO REPLACE MY REAR CONTROL UPPER ARM BECAUSE MY TIRES WERE CUPPING BADLY. I HAVE ALREADY REPLACED TIRES YEARLY BECAUSE OF UNEVEN WEAR. I CALLED CORPORATE HONDA, SINCE I AM OUT OF WARRANTY THEY WILL NOT REIMBURSE WITH PARTS AND LABOR DESPITE 2013 SETTLEMENT REGARDING THIS MATTER. IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE REGARDING TIRE SUSPENSION AND HONDA IS TURNING A BLIND EYE.. *TR
THE SEAT BELT FORCEFULLY LOCKED UP WHILE I WAS DRIVING. VERY SCARY. I COULD NOT LOOSEN IT. I PULLED OVER AND AFTER A FEW MINUTES MY BROTHER IN THE PASSENGER SEAT WAS ABLE TO HELP ME UNBUCKLE IT. THERE WAS NO CRASH. IT JUST LOCKED UP WITHOUT WARNING WHILE I WAS DRIVING. I DIDN'T HIT A POTHOLE OR A CURB. SEEMS LIKE A SAFETY ISSUE THAT HONDA MIGHT HAVE TRIED TO TAKE CARE OF BUT THEY WON'T COVER THE COSTS OF REPAIR SINCE IT IS OUT OF WARRANTY. *TR
HAD A FLAT TIRE THAT WOULD NOT HOLD AIR, SO ATTEMPTED TO PUT ON THE SPARE TIRE THAT WAS PURCHASED NEW WITH THE VEHICLE (BY ME) AT NALLEY HONDA OF UNION CITY, GA. IT WAS THE WRONG SIZE SPARE TIRE. THE LUG PATTERN WOULD NOT FIT. IT WAS A 16" SPARE INSTEAD OF THE 15" THAT MY CAR CALLS FOR. THE DEALERSHIP WOULD NOT SWAP IT OUT FOR THE RIGHT SIZE SPARE TIRE, EVEN THOUGH IT WAS THE FIRST TIME OUT OF MY TRUNK (2007 CAR, AND 2007 DATE CODED SPARE). LUCKILY, THE FLAT HAPPENED IN MY DRIVEWAY INSTEAD OF MY DAUGHTER BEING STRANDED ON THE INTERSTATE. *TR
THE DOORS DO NOT STAY OPEN LIKE EVERY CAR USUALLY DOES WHEN THEY ARE OPENED. THIS CAUSES A PROBLEM WHEN LOADING AND UNLOADING CAR SEATS, PEOPLE, GROCERIES, ETC. WHEN THE DOORS ARE OPENED, THEY AUTOMATICALLY CLOSE BACK UP. I'M CONCERNED BECAUSE THE DOOR, (WHEN IT CLOSES BY IT'S SELF,) HITS A LOT PEOPLE IN THE BACK THAT EXPECTING THE DOOR TO STAY OPEN WHEN THEY ENTER THE CAR. THERE IS ALSO RISK OF IT SLAMMING A PERSONS FINGER. I GET MANY COMPLAINTS FROM MY PASSENGERS. *TR
TAKATA RECALL:I SEE SRS WARNING IN MY CAR FOR FEW DAYS AND THE ALARM DISAPPEARS AFTER FEW DAYS. THIS IS HAPPENING AGAIN AND AGAIN. AFTER I GET MY CAR DIAGNOSED WITH HONDA DEALER, MY CAR GOT AIRBAG PROBLEM BUT NOT COVERED UNDER RECALL. I HAD TO CHANGE THE DISK BRAKES OF THIS CAR MORE FREQUENTLY. THEY DO NOT LAST EVEN FOR 15000 MILES.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD CAREFULLY BECAUSE I TAKE THIS ROAD ALMOST EVERYDAY. THIS ROAD HAS BEEN DAMAGED FOR A LONG TIME NOW AND HASN'T BEEN FIXED YET. ALL OF A SUDDEN MY CAR HITS A HUGE POT HOLE, IT COULDN'T HAVE BEEN SEEN DUE TO HOW DARK THIS ROAD IS AT NIGHT. BOTH WHEELS ON THE LEFT SIDE POPPED AND MY FRONT WINDSHIELD CRACK IN THE MIDDLE DUE TO THE HARD IMPACT. *TR
THE CLEAR COAT AND PAINT JOB IS BUBBLING AND GETTING READY TO CRACK AND EXPOSE THE CAR TO RUST. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA CIVIC. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS BEING REPAIRED, THE TECHNICIAN NOTICED THAT THE DC CONVERTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT STALLED WITHOUT WARNING MONTHS LATER. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO RESTART. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE VOLTAGE CONVERTER NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 11V106000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 203,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA CIVIC. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING LAMP FLASHED FOR SEVERAL MONTHS AND EVENTUALLY REMAINED ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT PROVIDE A REMEDY. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
THIS IS RELATED TO SUSPENSION...THREE ISSUE I HAVE OBSERVED 1. THE TIRES ON MY CIVIC 2007 HAVE UNEVEN WEAR...I CHANGED MY TIRES ABOUT 2 YEARS AGO AND COULD SEE THE UNEVEN WEAR ON THE OLD TIRED..THAT TIME I IGNORED IT ASSUMING IT TO BE AN ALIGNMENT ISSUE...HOWEVER THE NEW TIRES ARE ALSO WEARING OUT UNEVENLY AND THAT AFTER AFTER PROPER ALIGNMENT. THE LAST TIME I GOT TIRES ROTATED THE MECHANIC SUGGESTED THERE IS LIKELY SOME FAULTY SUSPENSION. NOW I FIRMLY BELIEVE IT. 2. I HEAR A POP/CLUNCKING SOUND WHEN GOING OVER BUMPS. 3. I HEAR A CLICK/POP SOUND COMING FROM THE FRONT WHEELS WHEN TURNING.

THE INTERMITTENT WIPERS STOP UNEXPECTEDLY ANYWHERE ON THE WINDSHIELD. THE PROBLEM PERSISTS. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA CIVIC. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE CONTACT WAS PULLED OVER BY THE POLICE AND NOTIFIED THAT THE VEHICLE'S BRAKE LIGHTS WERE NOT ILLUMINATING. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE LIGHT BULB WAS CHANGED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
THE MOTOR OF THE WIPER BLADES WOULD ONLY WORK RANDOMLY. EVEN WHEN IT WAS TURNED OFF THEY WOULD NOT STOP. WHEN THEY DID STOP THEY WOULD NOT BE IN THE RIGHT SPOTS. SOMETIMES THEY WOULD STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WINDSHIELD.
WIPERS WILL NOT PARK IN CORRECT SPOT BLOCKING VISIBILITY, ALSO WILL NOT STOP AND CAN CONTINUE GOING FOR MINUTES ON END AFTER BEING SWITCHED OFF. THIS IS VERY DISTRACTING TO MY DRIVING. FEEL HONDA SHOULD OWN UP TO THIS ISSUE SINCE IT IS A COMMON PROBLEM ON MANY OF THEIR VEHICLES.
DRIVER'S SEAT MOUNT IS BROKEN. WHEN RAISING OR LOWERING THE SEAT (MANUAL LEVER), ONLY THE LEFT SIDE OF THE SEAT MOVES. WHEN RAISED, LEFT SIDE OF SEAT IS HIGHER THAN RIGHT SIDE. ALSO SEAT DOES NOT FEEL ENTIRELY STABLE. (DATE IS APPROXIMATE, AS NO MVA OR OTHER INCIDENT CAUSED THIS.)

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 115,000.
I WAS DRIVING MY HONDA CIVIC 2007 ON A RAMP GOING FROM ONE HIGHWAY TO ANOTHER, WHEN IT COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN AND STARTED SMOKING. THERE WAS NO INDICATION THAT ANYTHING WAS WRONG WITH THE CAR UNTIL IT STOPPED AND STARTED SMOKING. TURNS OUT THAT THE ENGINE BLOCK WAS CRACKED CREATING OVERHEATING. THE OVERHEATING CAUSED OTHER PARTS OF THE ENGINE TO MELT, THE SPARK PLUGS, OIL DIPSTICK, HEAD IS WARPED. *JS
WHILE DRIVING MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS WOULD NOT TURN OFF. THEN WHEN THEY FINALLY DID SHUT OFF THEY WERE PARKED IN THE MIDDLE OF MY WINDSHIELD. THEY ALSO HAVE TURNED ON RANDOMLY WHILE DRIVING. THIS HAPPENED ALL WEEK AND IT'S BEEN RAINING. I TOOK IT TO THE HONDA DEALERSHIP TODAY AND THEY HAD TO REPLACE THE WIPER MOTOR WHICH COST $400. AFTER RESEARCHING ONLINE THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON ISSUE WITH HONDA CIVICS AND IT SHOULD BE MADE INTO A RECALL AS IT'S UNSAFE. *TR
THE WIPER BLADES ON THE FRONT WINDSHIELD WILL NOT STOP RUNNING EVEN AFTER TURNING THE SWITCH TO OFF. IF THEY DO DECIDE TO STOP RUNNING, THEY STOP AT VARIOUS POINTS AND OFTEN STOPS IN THE MIDDLE OF MY VIEW MAKING IT HARD TO SEE AROUND THEM. THE INTERMITTENT SETTING ALSO WILL CHANGE FROM WORKING TO NOT WORKING (CONSTANTLY RUNNING) FOLLOWING THE SAME STOPPING ISSUES. I'VE RESEARCHED THIS ONLINE AND IT SEEMS TO BE A VERY COMMON ISSUE. THE VIN NUMBER ON MY DAUGHTER'S 2007 CIVIC COUPE DOES NOT BRING UP A RECALL TO REPLACE THE AIRBAG. WHY? DOES THIS MEAN THAT THERE IS NO DANGER OF METAL SHARDS EXPLODING OUT OF THE AIRBAG? I CALLED AMERICAN HONDA'S CONSUMER INFORMATION DEPT. THEY CHECKED MY VIN AND SAID THAT THERE WAS NO AIRBAG RECALL. I ASKED WHY THERE WAS NO RECALL AND WAS TOLD THAT HONDA DOES NOT ALWAYS PUT THE SAME BRAND OF AIRBAG IN ALL OF THEIR VEHICLES. IS THIS TRUE? *TR
AFTER ROUTINE OIL CHANGE, BY MY MECHANIC, AN OIL LEAK WAS NOTED. AFTER CLOSE INSPECTION ON A LIFT IT TURNED OUT TO BE SMALL FISSURES IN OIL PAN METAL(ALUMINUM). THE CAR HAS ALWAYS BEEN GARAGED, AND NEVER IN AN ACCIDENT. THE DEVELOPMENT IN THE METAL IS OBVIOUSLY A SERIOUS MATTER AS AN OIL LEAK CAN HAVE DEVASTATING CONSEQUENCES. I SPOKE TO HONDA(AMERICA) THIS AFTERNOON AND REPORTED IT. *TR
I TOOK MY 2007 HONDA CIVIC TO THE DEALERSHIP TO INQUIRE ABOUT MY SRS LIGHT, I WAS TOLD THAT THE CAUSE WAS DTC 32-10, INTERMITTENT CONNECTION IN FLOOR HARNESS. AND THAT THIS WAS NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY. I HAVE RESEARCHED ONLINE AND SEEN OTHERS WITH THE SAME ISSUE. IT SEEMS THERE IS DESIGN FLAW IN THE SRS SYSTEM. I HAVE ALSO FOUND A SERVICE BULLETIN NUMBER: SB-10-001 THIS SEEMS LIKE SAFETY ISSUE THAT SHOULD BE COVERED BY AN EXTENDED WARRANTY. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME. *TR
THE DRIVER AIR-BAG DEPLOYED WHILE EXECUTING A LOW-SPEED "K-TURN" ON A RESIDENTIAL STREET. THE DRIVER'S HANDS ARE BRUISED AND SWOLLEN, AND THERE IS SIGNIFICANT RESIDUAL RINGING IN THE EARS. NO BONES WERE BROKEN AND THE EARDRUM DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE PERFORATED. *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE DRIVER SIDE FRONT AND REAR AIR BAGS ERRONEOUSLY DEPLOYED CAUSING THE DRIVER TO LOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO A CURB. NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED AND A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 135,000.
EXCESSIVE INNER TIRE WEAR. WHEEL IS OUT OF ALIGNMENT, BUT NOT ADJUSTABLE. FIX IS TO PURCHASE ADJUSTABLE ARMS, THEN ALIGN. *TR
THE PAINT ON THE ROOF OF MY CAR IS HAZING AND THE CLEAR COAT IS PEELING. THE HOOD OF MY CAR ALSO HAS WHITE SPOTS. HONDA GARAGE IN MOON TWP., PA WILL ONLY PAY HALF OF THE COST TO PAINT THE ROOF OF MY CAR. THEY SAID THERE WAS A "GOODWILL RECALL" THAT ENDED IN SEPT 2014, BUT I NEVER RECEIVED THIS. *TR
I AM HAVING A SERIOUS ISSUE WITH WATER LEAKING IN THROUGH MY SIDE CURTAIN DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG WHEN IT RAINS. I SPOKE TO TWO DIFFERENT DEALERSHIPS AND THEY WANT TO TAKE APART MY WHOLE CAR AND BOTH ALSO SAID COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THINGS. IT APPARENTLY IS NOT COVERED UNDER MY WARRANT BECAUSE IT IS A WATER LEAK BUT THAT IS UNFAIR. IT IS MOST LIKELY DESTROYING MY AIR BAG AND THAT IS A SAFETY CONCERN. HONDA CORPORATE TOLD ME THEY HAVE NEVER HEARD OF SUCH AN ISSUE AND THAT THEIR HANDS ARE TIED. *TR
WHEN I AM DRIVING MY CAR AND IT GOES INTO A SHIFT GEAR IT TUGS BACK AND FORTH THAN IT KICKS IN, IN ONLY DOES IT AT CERTAIN SPEED THAN IT STOPS. I WANT TO KNOW IF THERE ANY RECALLS ON THE TRANSMISSION AND IF ANY REPAIRS ARE BEING DONE OR HAVE BEEN DONE. I AM AFRAID THAT IT WILL JUST BREAK APART IN THE MIDDLE OF THE EXPRESSWAY AND CAUSE SOME PILEUP AND MY LIFE OR OTHERS MAY BE IN DANGER. *TR
THIS CIVIC IS GALAXY GREY. THE ROOF AND TRUNK PAINT HAS BEGUN TO CLOUD, FADE, CRACK, AND PEEL. WHILE NOT A SAFETY ISSUE, IT WILL AFFECT THE RESALE VALUE OF THE CAR. *TR
REAR UPPER CONTROL ARM KIT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. CURRENTLY CAUSES UNEVEN, RAPID TIRE WEAR. I BOUGHT THE CAR NEW IN 2007 FROM THIS DEALERSHIP AND HAVE IT SERVICED BY THIS DEALERSHIP SINCE THEN. A SERVICE BULLETIN 08-001 WAS ISSUED 1/22/08, BUT I WAS JUST TOLD BY THE DEALERSHIP ON 8/18/14 ABOUT THIS. THEY REFUSE TO COVER THE COST OF REPAIR. *TR
SUNVISORS: THE SUN VISORS ON THIS CAR FELL APART WITHOUT ANY DAMAGE TO THEM. EITHER THE VISOR COMPLETELY FELL OUT OR THE VISOR WILL NOT STAY UP CAUSING AN OBSTRUCTION/DISTRACTION WHILE DRIVING. THERE HAS BEEN A RECALL ON THE 2008 MODELS; HOWEVER, THERE ARE PROBLEMS WITH THIS YEAR AS WELL. *TR
ORIGINAL REAR UPPER CONTROL ARMS (OEM) NEED TO BE REPLACED DUE TO KNOWN CAMBER MISALIGNMENT FROM FACTORY. THIS WELL-KNOWN ISSUE FROM HONDA (ON 2006 - 2009 CIVICS) CAUSES UNEVEN WEAR AND SHORTENS THE LIFETIME OF TIRES. THE ONLY OPTION AVAILABLE TO BRING THE ALIGNMENT SPECS (CAMBER) BACK INTO A SAFE RANGE IS TO REPLACE THE UPPER CONTROL ARMS AND TIRES. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA CIVIC. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE TRAVELING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE COMPRESSOR AND THE BATTERY FAILED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN DETERMINED THAT THERE WAS AN ELECTRICAL SHORT WHICH REQUIRED FURTHER DIAGNOSIS. THE DEALER WAS WAITING FOR INSTRUCTION FROM THE MANUFACTURER TO REMEDY THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED NO REMEDY. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 18,500.
BAD CONTROL ARM CAUSING PREMATURE.TIRE WEAR. *TR
I WAS DRIVING TO WORK AS USUAL AND ALL OF A SUDDEN I SMELLED SOMETHING BURNING, WHEN I CAME TO THE STOP LIGHT THE FRONT RIGHT OF MY CARS HAD STREAMS OF SMOKE POURING OUT. I PULLED OVER AND THE CAR DIED, I HAD IT TOWED TO A MECHANIC AND HE INDICATED THERE WAS A CRACK IN THE ENGINE. I CALLED HONDA AND THEY HAVE EXTENDED THE WARRANTY ON THE 2007 CIVIC FOR 10YEARS IN REGARDS TO THIS ISSUE OF THE 2007 CIVIC OVERHEATING AND CRACKING/DESTROYING THE ENGINE. IT IS MY HOPE THAT HONDA WILL REPLACE THE ENGINE AND HONOR/OWN THE DEFECTS. *TR
I WAS TOLD BY A FRIEND THAT SHE GOT HER CIVIC PAINTED BECAUSE OF A RECALL. I BOUGHT MY CAR AT THE HONDA DEALER IN KILLEEN TEXAS, BUT I CALLED MY LOCAL GREG MAY HONDA IN WACO TX SERVICE DEPARTMENT. I TOLD THEM I NEVER RECEIVED ANY NOTICE STATING THERE WAS A RECALL, AND SOMEONE HAD TOLD ME ABOUT IT. I WAS HAVING THE EXACT COLOR ISSUES WITH PEALING, CLOUDY COLOR ON MY ROOF, AND A FEW OTHER PANELS ON MY CAR. THEY TOLD ME THAT THERE WAS A RECALL BUT ITS PAST DUE NOW, AND I BASICALLY WILL HAVE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR THIS. I AM HAVING MY CAR ROOF PAINTED THIS WEEKEND, AND WILL HAVE TO DO THE REST AS I CAN AFFORD IT. 2007 HONDA CIVIC. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO VEHICLE SUDDEN ACCELERATION ACCIDENT. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED SHE HEARD A LOUD REVVING SOUND COMING FROM THE ENGINE. THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED, CROSSED OVER THE CONCRETE PARKING MEDIAN AND HIT A MOTORIST. THE CONSUMER STATED HER FOOT WAS NOT ON ACCELERATOR PEDAL, BUT WAS ON THE BRAKE THE ENTIRE TIME. BOTH VEHICLES SUFFERED DAMAGED. HOWEVER, THE CONSUMERS VEHICLE WAS DECLARED A LOSS. *JB

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA CIVIC. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED FOR NO REASON WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IDLING AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
I WENT TO STOW MY DRIVER-SIDE SUN VISOR, IT SPLIT IN HALF AND REMAINED ABOUT 1" FROM STOWING FLAT. IT THEN KEPT DEPLOY AN ADDITIONAL 2 TO 3 INCHES RESULTING IN A SIGNIFICANT DISTRACTION. I WENT TO THE INTERNET TO SEE ABOUT BUYING A NEW ONE AND NOTICED A RECALL WAS IN PLACE FOR THIS ITEM. I CALLED MY HONDA DEALER AND HE CONFIRMED THERE WAS A RECALL THAT APPLIED TO SOME 2007 HONDA CIVICS BUT THAT MY VIN WASN'T PART OF THE RECALL -- DESPITE THE FACT THAT IT FAILED IN THE SAME WAY THAT THE RECALL DESCRIBED. *TR
TIRES HAVE WORN UNEVENLY DUE TO REAR BALANCE ARM/ STRUT ASSEMBLY ISSUE WHICH HAVE CAUSED THE WHEEL ASSEMBLY TO CANTER AND BE TOED IN, WHICH IN TURN HAS ALSO DAMAGED THE SUSPENSION/SPRINGS. CAR NOW LEANS TO DRIVER SIDE IN THE REAR. CAR HAS HAD 4 SETS OF TIRES AND HAS LESS THAN 90,000 MILES. DUE TO UNEVEN TIRE WEAR THE CAR IS EXTREMELY LOUD (EAR DAMAGING LOUD) AND VIBRATES (SHIMMIES) AT SPEEDS ABOVE 40MPH. WE WERE TOLD BY A HONDA DEALERSHIP THAT ONLY AN AFTER MARKET ADJUSTABLE BALANCE ARM WILL CORRECT THE PROBLEM. AMERICAN HONDA REFUSES TO TAKE ANY ACCOUNTABILITY. *TR
THE DRIVER'S SIDE SUN VISOR DROPPED DOWN, BLOCKING ME VISION (I'M 6'1). IT SEEMS TO BE BROKEN, FOR NO APPARENT REASON AND WON'T GO BACK INPLACE. *TR
LETTER FROM CONGRESSWOMAN FOXX ON BEHALF OF CONSTITUENT RE AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT AND A RECALL SHOULD BE ISSUED. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED FOR NO REASON. *JB
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA CIVIC. WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED, THE REAR SUSPENSION CAUSED THE TIRE TO EXCEEDINGLY VIBRATE FROM THE REAR END. THE FAILURE RECURRED NUMEROUS TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 68,000.
I EXPERIENCED ASYMMETRICAL CUPPING AND RAPID WEAR ON MY TIRES DUE TO A DEFECTIVE REAR UPPER CONTROL ARM. THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM FOR HONDA (THEY ISSUED A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN IN 2008 REGARDING THE ISSUE AND THERE WAS A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT IN 2013). SINCE THE DEADLINE TO FILE A CLAIM WITH THE CLASS ACTION SUIT HAS PASSED HONDA WILL NOT PAY FOR THE REPAIR OF THIS DEFECTIVE PART.
