VEHICLE IN MOTION ON STREET. RIGHT FRONT AXLE BROKE. LOST POWER, CLUNKING NOISE. REQUIRED TOW AND REPLACEMENT OF AXLE.
1. ON 8/18/2016, THE LEFT FRONT AXLE METAL SNAPPED IN TWO (NOT AT THE JOINT) WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON ROUTE 8 IN BELLEVUE KY. THE MECHANIC SAID THIS WAS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT. 2. ON 6/1/2017, THE RIGHT FRONT AXLE SNAPPED IN TWO (NOT AT THE JOINT) WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON THE EXPRESSWAY IN THE MIDDLE LANE AT >55 MILES PER HOUR IN HEAVY TRAFFIC. THE MECHANIC SAID THIS WAS A SIMILAR MANUFACTURING DEFECT AND THAT I'M LUCKY TO BE ALIVE! I HAVE RECEIPTS FROM BOTH REPAIRS AND A PICTURE OF THE AXLE FROM THE FIRST FAILURE, ATTACHED TO THIS COMPLAINT.
2007 HONDA FIT SPORT. CONSUMER WRITES WITH REGARD TO RECALL NO. 16V-344 AND 07-011 FOR VEHICLE AND INQUIRES WHEN PARTS WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE FOR REPAIRS. *AS *JS *JS
WAS IN AN ACCIDENT AFTER RECALL IN WHICH THE FRONT END WAS CRUSHED COMPLETELY AND NONE OF THE AIRBAGS OPENED RECENTLY TOOK CAR IN FOR RECALL PRIOR AND COMPLAINED ABOUT OTHER CONCERNS WITH CAR AT DEALERSHIP
TAKATA RECALL: I MADE AN APPOINTMENT TO GET MY PASSENGER-SIDE AIRBAG FIXED, BUT SINCE I LIVE AN HOUR AWAY FROM THE DEALERSHIP, I WAS GOING TO HAVE TO DROP THE CAR OFF THE NIGHT BEFORE. WHEN I ASKED GUNN HONDA FOR A LOANER CAR, THEY REFUSED. THEY SAID THEY DON'T GIVE LOANERS FOR RECALL REPAIRS, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT'S ONE THAT "DOESN'T AFFECT THE USE OF THE CAR." THEY SAID, "YOU DON'T HAVE TO GET THIS RECALL DONE. JUST DON'T LET ANYONE RIDE IN THE PASSENGER SEAT." I CALLED AMERICAN HONDA (CORPORATE). THE THREE PEOPLE I SPOKE WITH WERE TERRIFIC, AND A LOANER WAS SECURED AT GUNN HONDA AS A RESULT OF CORPORATE'S INTERVENTION. WHEN I ARRIVED AT GUNN HONDA, THE FIRST THING THAT [XXX], MY SERVICE ADVISOR, SAID WAS, "OH, YOU'RE THE ONE WITH THE LOANER. YOU CALLED CORPORATE." HE WENT ON TO SAY, "YEAH, SHE WAS MAD WHEN SHE CALLED." I REPLIED, "I'M NOT SURPRISED. I WAS TOO. BUT IT LOOKS LIKE IT'S ALL GETTING TAKEN CARE OF, SO THAT'S GOOD." HE THEN SAID WITH A SMUG SMILE, "WELL, SHE'S IN BIG TROUBLE BECAUSE WE DON'T DO THAT, AND OUR FACTORY REP WAS PISSED THAT SHE GOT YOU A LOANER. SHE'S IN BIG TROUBLE." THE RUDE AND ANTAGONISTIC COMMENTS CONTINUED. HE COMMENTED ON HOW UNNECESSARY IT WAS FOR ME TO GET THE RECALL TAKEN CARE OF BECAUSE I "DON'T HAVE TO USE THE PASSENGER SEAT." COMMENTS WERE MADE ABOUT HOW HONDA IS BLAMELESS IN THE AIRBAG RECALL ISSUE AND SHOULDN'T HAVE TO DO ANYTHING EXTRA FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG. I RECEIVED DIRTY LOOKS FROM SEVERAL OTHER PEOPLE WHILE I WAS THERE, ESPECIALLY WHEN I TOOK PICTURES OF THE OUTSIDE OF MY CAR FOR DOCUMENTATION BEFORE LEAVING IT THERE. TODAY I RECEIVED A CALL THAT THE CAR WAS READY BUT MY BATTERY IS "NOT REGISTERING WHEN TESTED." I WAS ADVISED TO BUY A NEW BATTERY EVEN THOUGH MINE HAS AT LEAST 40 MONTHS LEFT AND A 40% CREDIT. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA FIT. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, THE HEADLIGHTS STOPPED WORKING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BE REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 123,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA FIT. WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE POWER STEERING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND THE POWER STEERING FAILED. AS A RESULT, THE STEERING WHEEL STEERED ON ITS OWN INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC. THE CONTACT TURNED THE IGNITION ON AND OFF AND WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER (RALPH HONDA, 3939 W RIDGE RD, ROCHESTER, NY 14626) RESET THE CONTROL MODULE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPARIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 132,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA FIT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE KEY FAILED TO UNLOCK THE FRONT DRIVER'S DOOR. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE KEY WAS ABLE TO BE USED ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE DOOR IN ORDER TO ENTER THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT CALLED MULLER HONDA AT 847-831-4200. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150,000.
WHILE DRIVING, THE STEERING ON THE CAR BECOMES HEAVIER THAN NORMAL UNEXPECTEDLY. THE STEERING LIGHT COMES ON AND GOES OFF. TURNING THE CAR OFF AND AND ON ALLOWS THE CAR TO BE OPERATED NORMALLY, BUT THE CONDITION CAN RETURN.
HAD TO HAVE THE PASSENGER SIDE AXLE REPLACED. I WAS HAVING THE OIL CHANGE AND IT WAS POINTED OUT TO ME THE AXLE UNDER THE VIBRATION DAMPER WAS SEVERELY RUSTED. RUST WAS SO BAD AS TO HAVE CAUSED THE VIBRATION DAMPER TO SPLIT IN SEVERAL PLACES. YOU COULD "DIG" A SCREW DRIVER INTO THE RUST. PERSON RECOMMENDED HAVING THE AXLE REPLACED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. BROUGHT THE CAR TO A REPAIR SHOP AND MECHANIC CONFIRMED AXLE WAS SEVERELY RUSTED. CAR HAS 154000 MILES ON ODOMETER. *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.
RIGHT DRIVE AXLE SHAFT BROKE, RUSTED THROUGH INSIDE VIBRATION DAMPER, LEFT DRIVE AXLE NEAR FAILURE; RIGHT FRONT ABS SENSOR DAMAGED. HAD PULLED OVER TO CURB IN GEAR, BREAK OCCURRED WHEN STARTING TO PULL OUT, WAS STUCK IN ACTIVE TRAFFIC. LUCKILLY THIS FAILURE DID NOT OCCURE WHEN TRAVELING AT ROAD SPEEDS.
TAKATA RECALL THE LETTER WE RECEIVED FROM HONDA IN MARCH 2016 STATED, "THE REMEDY PARTS NEEDED TO CONDUCT DRIVER'S AIRBAG INFLATOR RECALLS WILL BECOME AVAILABLE IN THE SUMMER OF 1016. HONDA WILL SEND YOU ANOTHER LETTER WHEN PARTS BECOME AVAILABLE TO REPAIR YOUR VEHICLE." WE NEVER RECEIVED ANOTHER LETTER, BUT HEARD FROM A FRIEND THAT SHE CALLED HER DEALER AND GOT THE REPLACEMENT INSTALLED. WE CONTACTED OUR DEALER WHO INSTALLED A REPLACEMENT OCTOBER 13TH. HOWEVER, I SUSPECT THAT OTHER PERSONS ARE WAITING FOR ANOTHER LETTER FROM HONDA AND HAVE NOT HAD A REPLACEMENT YET.
TAKATA RECALL. FIRST CONTACT WITH DEALER (HONDA AND SUBARU OF SANTA FE, NM) 7/30/16. INFORMED THAT PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. SECOND CONTACT 8/30/16 WITH SAME RESULT. NOW 70+ DAYS SINCE INITIAL CONTACT WITH DEALER. NO REPLY FROM DEALER AS OF 10/10/16. INCONVENIENCE OF LIMITATION OF USE AND POSSIBLE INJURY OR DEATH MAKES UNRESPONSIVENESS OF HONDA AND DEALER GROSSLY IRRESPONSIBLE.
2007 HONDA FIT. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO REPLACEMENT PARTS NOT AVAILABLE TO REPAIR PASSENGER SIDE INFLATOR RECALL NOTICE. *SMD
PULLING OUT OF A BUSINESS'S DRIVEWAY ONTO A HIGHWAY, HALF WAY ACROSS THE HIGHWAY THE CAR STARTS TO LOOSE FORWARD MOTION AND ENGINE REV'S INCREASES DRAMATICALLY. STEP ON GAS AND CAR WILL NOT ACCELERATE. CHECK TO SEE THE CAR IS IN DRIVE. ROLL ACROSS THE HIGHWAY AND COAST INTO A PARKING LOT. LOOK UNDER CAR AND SEE FRONT AXLE ON DRIVERS SIDE HAS SNAPPED. IT SNAPPED AT THE POINT WHERE THE AXLE MEETS THE DAMPER. TOOK CAR TO DEALER AND HE CONFIRMED FRONT DRIVER SIDE AXLE IS BROKEN. THIS HAPPENED WHEN THERE WAS NO TRAFFIC ON THE HIGHWAY. SERIOUS ACCIDENT COULD HAVE OCCURRED IF HIGHWAY WAS BUSY AS CAR WAS IN THE LANE I WAS CROSSING OVER OF TWO LANE HIGHWAY WHEN AXLE BROKEN AND WAS ONLY GOING ABOUT 5-10MPH AT THAT POINT. HAD THE HIGHWAY NOT BEEN ON A HILL OR HAD I BEEN TRYING TO GO IN THE UPHILL DIRECTION WOULD NOT HAVE HAD ENOUGH SPEED TO AVOID ONCOMING TRAFFIC.

TAKATA RECALL HONDA IS NOT RESOLVING MY ALTERNATIVE TRANSPORTATION NEEDS WHILE THEY DEAL WITH THEIR RECALL ISSUES. THEY GAVE ME A ROUGH ESTIMATE OF 2019 FOR REPLACEMENT PARTS TO FIX MY EXPLOSIVE AIRBAG. I HAVE WAITED A WEEK NOW WITHOUT A PHONE CALL FROM THE DEPARTMENT I WAS INSTRUCTED TO CALL AND I AM NOT BEING ABLE TO SAFELY USE MY VEHICLE. THIS SITUATION IS NOW COSTING ME PERSONALLY ON MANY LEVELS, BOTH IN SAFETY AND FINANCIAL MEANS AS I CAN'T USE MY CAR. I AM ASKING THE GOVERNMENT FOR HELP BY FILING THIS COMPLAINT.
NHTSA RECALL 16V-344 REQUIRING REPLACEMENT OF THE AIRBAG ON MY VEHICLE WAS ISSUED ON MAY 23, 2016. I WAS TOLD BY MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP (HONDA CARS OF ROCK HILL (SC)) THAT THE BAGS WERE NOT AVAILABLE BUT ON ORDER. IN JULY, 2016, I RECEIVED FROM AMERICAN HONDA MOTOR COMPANY A NOTICE OF THE RECALL INCLUDING THE STATEMENT,"HONDA SUGGESTS THAT YOU AVOID HAVING A PASSENGER SIT IN THE FRONT PASSENGER'S SEAT UNTIL THE RECALL REPAIR HAS BEEN PERFORMED." I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP BACK AND WAS TOLD THAT THE PARTS WERE STILL NOT AVAILABLE AND THAT I WAS "ON A WAITING LIST." ON AUGUST 16, I AGAIN CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THE PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE AND THAT THEY "HAVE NO IDEA" WHEN THEY WILL BE. TODAY, AUGUST 17, I SPOKE WITH AMERICAN HONDA AND A REPRESENTATIVE SAID, "NO ONE CAN TELL YOU WHEN THE PARTS WILL BE AVAILABLE." IF NO ONE IN HONDA KNOWS WHEN THE PARTS WILL BE AVAILABLE THEN IT IS CONCEIVABLE THAT THEY NEVER WILL BE. IT IS UNREALISTIC AND IMPRACTICAL (AND UNSAFE) TO ASSUME THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT WILL NOT BE USED UNTIL SOME DATE NO ONE IN HONDA KNOWS.
I RECEIVED THE RECALL NOTICE (SEE ATTACHMENT) FROM HONDA IN JULY 2016. I MADE AN APPOINTMENT AT FAIRFAX HONDA FOR REPAIR. WHEN I STOPPED BY TO DROP IT OFF THE PERSON AT THE SERVICE TOLD ME THEY NEED TO PLACE AN ORDER FOR THE PART. HE SAID I SHOULD BE GETTING A CALL OR AN EMAIL WHEN IT'S DELIVERED. I NEVER HEARD BACK FROM THEM FOR 2WEEKS SO I CALLED THEM. THEY SAID IT'S NOT DELIVERED YET SO I WILL HAVE TO WAIT MORE. IT'S NOW JANUARY 2017 AND HAVEN'T HEARD ANYTHING.
LOW AND HIGH BEAM HEADLIGHTS INTERMITTENTLY STOPPED WORKING WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT NIGHT. THE HEADLIGHTS WOULD TURN OFF BUT THE BLUE HIGH BEAM SYMBOL ON THE DASHBOARD WOULD LIGHT UP AT THE TIME OF FAILURE, EVEN THOUGH WE HAD NOT SWITCHED TO THE HIGH BEAMS. AT ONE POINT THE HIGH BEAM SYMBOL FADED SO IT LOOKED LIKE IT WAS HALFWAY ON, THEN WENT OFF COMPLETELY AND THE HEADLIGHTS WORKED AGAIN. ABOUT 20 MINUTES LATER, THE HIGH BEAM SYMBOL LIT UP AGAIN AND THE HEADLIGHTS STOPPED WORKING FOR THE REMAINDER OF OUR DRIVE. THIS WAS AFTER DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY FOR ABOUT TWO HOURS. FOG LIGHTS, RUNNING LIGHTS, BRAKE LIGHTS, AND TAIL LIGHTS STILL WORKED THROUGHOUT THIS ISSUE.
WHEN I AM DRIVING WITH MY HIGH BEAMS ON AND TURN THEM TO LOW BEAM THEY GO OUT AND IT TAKES DIFFERENT LENGTHS OF TIMES FOR THEM TO COME BACK ON. I HAD THE SAME ISSUE 2 YEARS AGO AND THE DEALERSHIP SAID THEY FIXED IT. IT WORKED FINE UNTIL THE OTHER NIGHT DRIVING HOME ON A COUNTRY ROAD WHICH WAS EXTREMELY SCARY. I TOOK IT BACK AND THEY SAID THEY CHECKED IT BUT IT WASN'T FROM THE RECALL. I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT CARS BUT I'M HAVING A HARD TIME UNDERSTANDING WHY THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM IS FROM SOMETHING ELSE.
DRIVER'S DOOR LOCK WILL NOT OPEN/CLOSE/LOCK WITH KEY. LOCK WILL OPEN/CLOSE WITH INSIDE ELECTRICAL SWITCH. PASSENGER AND BACK DOOR WORKS FINE. MILEAGE IS 65,000. NOT EVERY INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT/ FLOOD ETC.

I WAS POSITIONING MY CAR OUTSIDE MY OFFICE FOR LOADING. I BACKED IN, THEN PUT THE CAR IN 'D(RIVE)' TO INCH FORWARD A BIT. BEFORE I COULD STEP ON THE GAS, THE CAR ACCELERATED AND WITH ENGINE RACING HEADED TOWARD A HIGH CURB BEYOND WHICH STOOD A LARGE, MATURE TREE. I SLAMMED ON THE BRAKES BUT TO NO AVAIL; THE PEDAL WENT LIMPLY TO THE FLOOR WITHOUT AFFECT. AT THE SAME TIME I SHIFTED INTO N(EUTRAL), AGAIN WITHOUT AFFECT. I GRABBED FOR THE HAND BRAKE BUT IT WAS TOO LATE. THE CAR JUMPED THE HIGH CURB AND PLOUGHED INTO THE TREE. KNOWING THAT MY FOOT HAD NOT SLIPPED OFF THE BRAKE AND ONTO THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, I CHECKED THE NHTSA WEBSITE AND WAS SHOCKED TO SEE NUMEROUS SIMILAR STORIES ABOUT THE HONDA FIT COVERING A DECADE! MY FEAR IS THAT HONDA WILL NOT TAKE THIS PRODUCT DEFECT SERIOUSLY UNTIL SOMEONE IS KILLED!
RECALL 13-090 WAS NOT FIXED PROPERLY ON 1/18/2014. THE PLASTIC COVER THAT COVERS THE MASTER POWER WINDOW SWITCH STILL IS LOOSE AND CAN ALLOW WATER TO GET TO AND SHORT CIRCUT THE MASTER POWER WINDOW SWITCH. NEVER FIXED PROPERLY OR REPLACED BUT DEALERSHIP CLOSED IT OUT WHILE DOING AN OIL CHANGE. TOOK BACK TO DEALER WHOSE SAYS THEY WILL NOT FIX EVEN THOUGH IT HAS TO DO WITH THE SAME PART THAT CREATED THE NEED FOR THE RECALL SINCE IT WAS CLOSED OUT ON MY PROFILE THEY WILL NOT REPLACE IT

TAKATA RECALL-HAVE VACATION BOOKED USING AUTO TRAIN TO FLA. BOOKED ABOUT 8 MONTHS AGO. SCHEDULED TO LEAVE 8/17. RECEIVED RECALL NOTICE 7/18-TOLD NOT TO USE CAR IF PASSENGER IN SEAT. AIRBAG WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL LATE SUMMER OR FALL. CALLED HONDA (1-888-234-2138) AND EXPLAINED SITUATION. I WAS TOLD THAT I NEEDED A RENTAL AND THEY WOULD GET BACK TO ME. I CALL AGAIN IN 7/25 AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY WOULD EXPEDITE RENTAL. I CALLED AGAIN 8/1 AND TOLD THAT IT IS IN THE WORKS BUT THEY HAVE 10K COMPLAINTS TO PROCESS. I AM BETWEEN A ROCK AND A HARD PLACE AS WE WILL BE FORCED TO USE THE CAR BUT AM AFRAID OF WHAT COULD HAPPEN. I AM RUNNING OUT OF TIME AND MY WIFE AND I ARE NOT SURE WHERE TO GO FOR HELP. MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON THIS SUNDAY MORNING WHEN I DRIVING OVER 60 MPH WITH A/C AND RADIO ON MY CAR JERKS, I HAVE ALREADY HAD A MAJOR TRANSMISSION REPAIR THAT COST OVER $500 AND THE CAR CONTINUES TO MISFIRE I WAS TOLD THE CAR WAS FINE BY THE DEALER RUSTY WALLIS. I HAVE A SERVICE HISTORY BOOK OF EVERYTIME I HAVE EVER HAD ANY TYPE OF SERVICE MY CAR HAS EVER HAD SINCE I PURCHASED IT. I DO EVERYTHING THAT THE DEALER TELLS ME I'M INFORMED I M SUPPOSED TO DO FOR THE CARE OF MY CAR. I GET MY BOOK STAMPED WITH THE SEAL FROM RUSTY WALLIS EVERY TIME I GET SERVICE, EVEN JUST AN OIL CHANGE. MY HIGH BEAMS TURN ON WHENEVER I USE THE SIGNAL LIGHTS. I JUST REPLACED MY BATTERY AND NOW MY A/C WILL NOT WORK. I'M TAKING MY CAR INTO RUSTY TO HAVE THE LATEST RECALL THE AIRBAGS FIXED THIS SATURDAY. I HAVE SPENT THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS ON MY CAR AND ALL WORK ON MY CAR HAS BEEN AT THE PLACE I BOUGHT IT RUSTY WALLIS. THEY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN GOOD WITH ME, BUT I REALLY THINK SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THE ENGINES AND FUEL/ ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS IN THE FITS 2007. I JUST DON'T WANT TO KEEP SPENDING MONEY ON A PROBLEM THAT WILL NEVER BE FIXED. I'M AFRAID THAT MY CAR IS GOING TO STOP WHILE I'M ON THE FREEWAY FOR AN ISSUE I HAVE ALREADY PAID TO HAVE FIXED. I HAVE HAD MAJOR TUNE UPS, BRAKES, TRANSMISSION AND GASKETS ENGINE STUFF DONE EVERY TIME I WAS INFORMED MY CAR NEEDED IT, BUT THE ISSUE IS NOT RESOLVED. I WOULD PREFER AN IMPARTIAL ENTITY REVIEW THE SITUATION AND GIVE ME THE FINDINGS, BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE I'M SPENDING MONEY AND THE ISSUES STILL PERSIST. I HAVE PAID FOR MOST THINGS ON MY CREDIT CARD FOR A TRACK RECORD OF THE YEARS. MY CAR IS ONLY 9 YRS OLD. RUSTY WALLIS HAS BEEN GOOD WITH ME, I THINK THE DEFECTS ARE FACTORY MADE FROM HONDA. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IS THIS STUFF JUST HAPPENING MY CAR OR ARE OTHERS HAVING THESE ISSUES TOO.
I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM HONDA IN MID JULY SAYING THAT I NEEDED TO MAKE ARRANGEMENTS TO HAVE MY AIR BAG SERVICED. I CALLED 7/17/16 TO MAKE THE APPOINTMENT. IT ALSO STATED TO NOT ALLOW ANY PASSENGERS IN THE FRONT SEAT UNTIL THE REPAIR WAS MADE. I AM STILL WAITING FOR MY LOCAL HONDA DEALER TO GET THE PART. IT HAS BEEN 90 DAYS SINCE I CALLED AND MADE THE REQUEST. I HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH HONDA NUMEROUS TIMES AND THEY STILL DO NOT HAVE THE PART FRO MY CAR. THE NOTICE I RECEIVED SAID I COULD FIE A COMPLAINT AFTER 60 DAYS AND I DECIDED TO GIVE THEM SOME ADDITIONAL TIME BEFORE MAKING THE COMPLAINT. I AM TIRED OF WAITING AND NOT BEING ABLE TO HAVE PASSENGERS IN THE FRONT SEAT. IT HAS BEEN A REAL INCONVENIENCE.

I CALLED AGAIN ON AUGUST 20TH AND THEY SAID THERE WAS NO TIME IN THE FUTURE WHEN THIS WOULD BE FULFILLED. THIS IS OUR ONLY VEHICLE, AND WE DO NOT HAVE ROOM TO DRIVE SAFELY IN IT.

HONDA FIT 2007 RECALL. I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE IN JULY OF THIS YEAR ABOUT A RECALL REPAIR NEEDED FOR THE VEHICLE I RECENTLY PURCHASED. THE RECALL WAS FOR THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG TO BE REPLACED BY THEN END OF THE SUMMER AND START OF FALL. I CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP AFTER I RECEIVED THE NOTICE AND WAS TOLD I WOULD RECEIVE A SECOND NOTICE WHICH I NEVER RECEIVED. MY CALL WAS TRANSFERRED OVER TO ANOTHER DEPARTMENT WHERE I LEFT MY CONTACT INFORMATION AND A WOMAN CALLED ME A FEW DAYS LATER STATING SHE WOULD ORDER THE PART AND CONTACT ME WHEN IT CAME IN. I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED ANY OTHER NOTICE OR CALL ABOUT IT SINCE AND I AM WORRIED FOR MY SAFETY IN THIS VEHICLE IF IT SHOULD RUPTURE OR CAUSE ANY OTHER INJURY TO MYSELF OR ANY PASSENGERS.
TAKATA RECALL MY DAUGHTER DRIVES MY 3 GRANDCHILDREN IN THE HONDA FIT 2007. NOT ONLY HAS THE RECALL NOT BEEN ADDRESSED BUT THE INDICATOR THAT TURNS THE AIRBAG ON AND OFF OF THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT IS BROKEN AND IN THE ON POSITION WHICH ENDANGERS EVERYONE IN THE AUTOMOBILE NOT JUST THE FRONT SEAT PASSENGER. ALL SEATS ARE NEEDED. THIS IS OUR ONLY VEHICLE FOR OUR DAUGHTER. IT IS AN EMERGENCY TO HAVE A SAFE VEHICLE TO USE. OUR GRANDCHILDREN AND DAUGHTER'S LIFE DEPENDS ON IT. WE HAVE CALLED NUMEROUS TIMES, CONTACTED BOTH THE DEALERSHIP AND THE MANUFACTURER AND TO NO AVAIL. I CALLED AGAIN ON 8/25 AND THEY STATED PART WAS ORDERED ON 7/19 (MORE THAN 2 WEEKS AFTER MY INITIAL REQUEST) AND IS STILL NOT IN. THIS DELAY IS CAUSING SIGNIFICANT PROBLEMS AS I CANNOT TRANSPORT ANYONE IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT FOR THE LAST 2 MONTHS! STILL NO WORD ON TIMING OF REPAIR. VERY FRUSTRATING .
