Vehicle was inspected, Vehicle is leaking fuel, but it's difficult to spot, but I have to put fuel on it daily, TCS goes haywire almost caused me to crash because the TCS sensors are near the tires, and engine crank sensor issues, Vehicle does not do last gear shift, and rear door stopped working.
I never had issues with my van when I bought it but On Monday got all the fluids drove to Phoenix and the transmission got hot the TCL light and ABs light turned on as well as the SRS light no check engine the floor on the driver side and passenger side was super hot. The transmission on 1st gear start hitting hard 2nd gear started slipping we pulled over right away let the car cool down but the transmission level where normal motor oil was at normal we did the oil service transmission service the dealer I bought it from has did Amazon service I don’t really drive it only to visit my kids. I looked up the recall and my van has a lot of them I’m worried of driving home to California I’m in Phoenix so I hope the dealer will fix the recall when u put the year of the 2003 honda odyssey my vin switch to a different one on your site please help
The contact owns a 2003 Honda Odyssey. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the transmission unintendedly shifted into gear. An unknown dealer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was included in four unrepaired recalls. The contact informed the dealer that she was afraid to drive the vehicle due to the failure. Additionally, the contact stated that the transmission and the motor mounts were replaced in May 2025. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 04V176000 (Power Train); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The contact was advised to contact the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 251,599.
The contact owned a 2003 Honda Odyssey. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 16V344000 (Air Bags), 15V320000 (Air Bags), and 15V045000 (Air Bags) and would like to be removed from the recall distribution list. The local dealer and manufacturer were contacted.
Van has open recalls on driver and passenger side airbags. Van also has a defective driver front seat belt tensioner that Honda claims has a lifetime warranty, but Hendrick Honda of Bradenton FL refuses to perform the recalls or replace the defective seatbelt tensioner. Even after advising them that they are required by law to perform any open recalls and are not allowed to charge anything for said recalls, Service Writer "Tammy" was uncooperative and kept alluding to things like she couldn't guarantee we would not be charged up to $1500 for these repairs which honestly should ALL be recalls as they are life safety issues. Due to their refusal to perform even the NHTSA recalls even after being given the documentation of the required recall, we have to find another dealership and hope they will perform the recalls.
All recalls have been completed on this 2003 Honda Odyssey Van but every now and then the warning light for the supplemental restraint system comes on and will stay on for a long time. the next trip it will be fine. Just wondering if this is something to be concerned about. It is a car we keep at our beach house and only use on a limited basis but I need to know it is safe. I recently had vehicle scanned and had all old codes cleared. If the air bag situation is the cause of this I don't want to be driving it. East Coast Honda in Myrtle Beach, SC. We have had issues with our drivers side seatbelt since we purchased the vehicle new. First it had retraction issues, then the plastic stop button that keeps the buckle from sliding down failed, disintegrated. We asked the dealer to replace the belt which they refused to do. We have brought it to the dealer before, even generating a case number from Honda, but Honda refused to repair the belt. Over the years it has gotten progressively worse, where the belt is seriously frayed, and there are retraction issues. In August 2022, I contacted our local dealer, Piazza Honda in Springfield, PA. It took almost a month for them to take the car, make some photographs, and then to leave out of the notes that we had an ongoing retraction issue. Two months later, Honda Corporate informed me that they are denying the claim for the defective seatbelt. The warranty as stated in the handbook states a lifetime warranty for seatbelts. All aspects of the car pass State of PA Inspection requirements, all other aspects of the SRS systems are fully functional, with the exception of the drivers seatbelt. We believe that Honda's determination of non-liability is a ruse, a cynical attempt to exploit their customers in a critical safety component. We deserve a replacement seatbelt, and Honda customers need to be reminded that Honda is legally required to stand by the mandated Lifetime Warranty for Seatbelts. We feel that our only recourse to request that your agency look into this issue, and remind Honda of their responsibility. Honda's unconscionable conduct should not be condoned, not tolerated. This is not the first time Honda has tried to harm it's customers. The Federal government forced Honda to extend the warranty for its automatic transmissions, and repair defective ones. Our vehicle suffered from the same transmission issue, but we fell just outside the extended warranty period. The cost of the part (Honda 04818-S0X-A02ZH) is quite high from Honda, in excess of $667.73 without labor.

While exceeding 60 mph on the highway with my two young children. The vehicle began to loose power. I tried accelerating the van would regain then bog down again. This happens suddenly. This could of been a horrible accident. The van just loosng all power without warning.
My rear sliding door FELL all the way off the van.
WE DISPOSED OF THE VEHICLE AND YET STILL GET MESSAGES FROM HONDA. THE VEHICLE WAS SOLD AS SCRAP. PLEASE ADVISE HONDA TO CEASE AND DESIST ALL FURTHER CONTACT/NOTIFICATIONS ABOUT THE RECALL(S). WE HAVE NOTIFIED THEM MANY TIMES YET THEY PERSIST. THIS IS A DISCREDIT TO THE RECALL SYSTEM WHEN OBVIOUSLY FALSE AND ERRONEOUS MESSAGES ARE PERSISTENTLY SENT, IN ERROR. THIS CAUSES THE USER TO DISREGARD POTENTIALLY SERIOUS INFORMATION. HONDA MUST HAVE A METHOD OF ACCOUNTABILITY ADDED TO THEIR SYSTEM TO ALLLOW THE REMOVAL FROM THEIR RECALL DATABASE OF A VEHICLE WHICH HAS BEEN SOLD/TRANSFERRED/DESTROYED. HONDA HAS AN 'F' RATING WITH THE BBB ON THIS ISSUE. HONDA APPARENTLY DOES NOT TAKE RECALLS SERIOUSLY.
STALLS RANDOMLY WHILE ACCELERATING FROM STOP. APPEARS TO BE IGNITION SWITCH ISSUE. COULD CAUSE A CRASH RESULTING IN INJURY ESPECIALLY WHEN PULLING INTO MAIN STREET OR HIGHWAYS FROM A STOP.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT AN ABNORMAL NOISE APPEARED WHILE SHIFTING GEARS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO GERMAIN HONDA OF BEAVERCREEK (2300 HELLER DR, BEAVERCREEK, OH 45434, (855) 798-3158) TO BE REPAIRED UNDER AN UNKNOWN AIR BAG RECALL. THE CONTACT REFERENCED THE FAILURE TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 04V176000 (POWER TRAIN) HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150,000.
SRS LIGHT STAYS ON WHEN CAR IS RUNNING. HONDA REPRESENTATIVE SAYS RECALL WORK ON OUR CAR'S SRS SYSTEM WAS DONE TWICE, IN 2014 AND 2017, AND FOR ANY FURTHER WORK WE MUST TAKE IT TO A DEALER.
INTERMITTENT SRS LIGHT. DEFECTIVE DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT BELL BUCKLE. THIS PART SHOULD BE RECALLED RATHER THAN DEPENDING ON THE MANUFACTURER VOLUNTARILY REPLACING AND DISCOURAGING CUSTOMERS TO SERVICE SYSTEM BY IMPOSING A "DIAGNOSTIC CHARGE" IF THEY STATE DEFECTIVE WAS NOT THE BUCKLE.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer and an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the torque converter, clutch, and hydraulic control system were faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 89,000.

I WAS DRIVING ON THE STREET APPROXIMATELY 25MPH, SUDDENLY THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP ON ME. THE VEHICLE HAD APPROXIMATELY 270,000 MI ON IT. I CHECKED AMERICAN HONDA RECALLS AND FOUND A RECALL ORDER. COPIES OF HE DOCUMENTS ENCLOSED. I REPORTED THE PROBLEM AND EXPLAINED THE CIRCUMSTANCES OF THE PROBLEM. I WAS TOLD THAT RECALLS ARE VIN SPECIFIC AND VEHICLE DOES NOT SHOW ANYTHING ON THEIR RECORDS. I MADE AND RESEARCHED AND FOUND THE DOCUMENTS WHICH I'VE ENCLOSED COPIES WITH THIS COMPLAINT. I WAS TOLD TO TALK WITH HONDA DEALERSHIP SO THEY COULD ADVICE ME ABOUT THE PROBLEM. I WENT TO NORM REEVES HONDA, AS MUCH AS I DID, I WAS IGNORED, NO ONE LISTENED, ALL I WAS TOLD WAS CALL BACK AMERICAN HONDA IN WHICH I SAID I HAVE DONE..THEY DID NOT DO ANYTHING TO CHECK ON IT AND NO EXPLANATION ABOUT IT WAS OVEN EXCEPT THEIR RECORDS SHOW A PART NUMBER THAT UPON MY INSISTENCE FOR MORE INFO, I WAS TOTALLY IGNORED. THE RECALL NOTICE WAS ISSUED FEB 22, 2013 TITLED, "ELECTRICAL SYSTEM IGNITION SWITCH" WHICH CLEARLY EXPLAINS THE ISSUANCE OF THE RECALL ORDER.. ALTHOUGH THE 15 YEAR WARRANTY HAS LAPSED SINCE THE ISSUANCE OF THE ORDER. IF THERE WAS SOMETHING DONE ON THE LEVER, THEY DID NOT REPLACED OR DID ANYTHING ON THE IGNITION SWITCH WHICH IS THE ONLY REASON THAT I SEE IS CONNECTED WITH WHAT HAPPENED TO THE VEHICLE AND MY SAFETY AND THE PUBLIC'S.*DT CONSUMER STATED DEALER TOLD HIM RECALL WAS DONE BUT VEHICLE STILL HAS PROBLEMS WITH STEERING WHEEL.*JB

THIS ODYSSEY HAS PREVIOUS TRANSMISSION RECALL IN 2005, THE SAME TRANSMISSION PROBLEM IS COMING BACK TO MY CAR
I TOOK MY CAR LAST YEAR FOR THE RECALLS THAT HAD FOR THE AIR BAGS AND THE INTERLOCK LEVER OF HE IGNITION SWITCH.AFTER ONE DAY OF WORK THEY SAID THEY FIX ALL OF THEM. BUT AFTER SOME MONTH I NOTICE THAT THE KEY IT WAS NO WORKING PROPERLY ON THE SWITCH AND I SEE ALSO THEY DIDN'T REPLACE THE OLD SWITCH,AND BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE SUFFICIENT KNOWLEDGE OF THIS ISSUE I BELIEVE JUST WHAT THEY SAID.BUT MY CAR IS HAVING PROBLEM WITH THE KEY IGNITION, THE SWITCH IT'S NOT READING THE KEY MOST OF THE TIMES AND IT'S NOT STARTING AND SOMETIMES IT START BY ITSELF WITHOUT THE KEY JUST PRESSING THE HORN.THE RECALL FOR THE INTERLOCK LEVER OF THE IGNITION SWITCH IS NHTSA 12V-573 MANUFACTURER RECALL NUMBER S73.( DEC 2012)
THIS CAR DOES NOT START WITHOUT SEVERAL TRIAL. THE STARTER IS BRAND NEW AND BATTERY AS WELL. BOILS DOWN TO A IGNITION PROBLEM WHICH SEEMS TO BE ELECTRICAL
TAKATA RECALL: BASICALLY I HAVE A HUGE ISSUE REPLACING RECALL ITEMS BECAUSE I LIVE IN A REMOTE COMMUNITY WITH ONLY FERRY ACCESS. THE FERRY CROSSING REQUIRES 6 HOURS EACH WAY AND A 60 MILE DRIVE TO ANCHORAGE ONCE WE REACH THE MAINLAND. THE COST IS $460 RT FOR THE FERRY AND 2 DAYS OF PAY, A HOTEL ROOM, FUEL, FOOD AND OVERTIME FOR MY EMPLOYEE WHO TAKES IT TO A DEALERSHIP. I'M ASKING IF THERE IS A WAY TO ALLOW OUR LOCAL MECHANIC TO DO THESE RECALLS??? I HAVE A CAR RENTAL WITH AT LEAST 12 OF THESE RECALLS OUTSTANDING. IT WOULD COST ME AROUND $10,000 TO GET MY "FREE" RECALLS DONE. I WORRY ABOUT MY LIABILITY FOR RENTING THESE VEHICLES OUT TO THE PUBLIC. I WOULD LIKE SOME SUPPORT AND GUIDANCE AS TO HOW TO DEAL WITH THIS PROBLEM.
TAKATA RECALL, TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2003 HONDA ODYSSEY. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH, THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE CRASHED INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED BURNS ON EACH HAND THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL TREATMENT. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE BURNS WERE CAUSED BY CHEMICALS USED TO DEPLOY THE AIR BAG. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER AND LOCAL DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 198,000.
THE INTERIOR ROOF OF THE VEHICLE CAUGHT FIRE AND BURNED AFTER THE CAR WAS TURNED OFF. THE SMOKE STARTED WHILE DRIVING AND THE SMOKE WAS COMING FROM THE DRIVERS SIDE SEAT BELT AREA WHERE IT CONNECTS TO THE FRAME TOP.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 HONDA ODYSSEY. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE RPM NEEDLE FLUCTUATED BACK AND FORTH AS THE VEHICLE STARTED TO LOSE POWER. THE CONTACT HAD TO PULL THE VEHICLE OVER TO THE SHOULDER AND TURN OFF THE ENGINE. THE CONTACT EXITED THE VEHICLE AND NOTICED A BURNING ODOR UNDER THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT RESTARTED THE VEHICLE, BUT IT FAILED TO SHIFT FROM PARK. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE DEALER AND INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WERE NOT CONTACTED FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 170,000.
I HEARD ON THE NEWS TODAY AND ALSO FOUND OUT THAT I'M ELIGIBLE FOR A FREE REPAIR AT MY LOCAL HONDA DEALERSHIP, OR THAT A TECHNICIAN COULD COME TO ME. I ALSO HAVE RECEIVED TWO CARDS IN THE MAIL, AND I OWN TWO OF THE SAME YEAR MAKE AND MODEL VANS, ONE THAT SHOWS UP ON THE RECALL AND ONE THAT DOESN'T. AS PER CBS NEWS " U.S. SAFETY REGULATORS ARE DEMANDING THAT AUTOMAKERS AND TAKATA CORP. EXPAND NATIONWIDE A RECALL OF VEHICLES WITH CERTAIN DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAGS EQUIPPED WITH INFLATORS THAT CAN ERUPT AND SEND METAL FRAGMENTS INTO THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT. "
TAKATA AIRBAGS - I NEVER RECEIVED PAPERWORK FROM HONDA TO HAVE MY AIRBAGS SERVICED AT A DEALERSHIP. OUR LOCAL DEALERSHIP WON'T REPAIR WITHOUT PAPERWORK.
THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY WHEN THE IGNITION SWITCH DOESN'T WANT TO TURN. IT TAKES BETWEEN 5 TO 10 MINUTES FOR IT TO FINALLY TURN SO I HAVE TO LEAVE A KEY IN THE VAN AND NOT TAKE IT OUT OF THE IGNITION SWITCH IN ORDER FOR IT TO WORK. ONCE I TAKE IT OUT I SPEND ANOTHER 5 TO 10 MINUTES TURNING UNTIL IT FINALLY TURNS OVER.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 HONDA ODYSSEY EQUIPPED WITH FOUR TOYO 135349 SNOW TIRES, SIZE: 225/60R-16 (NA). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FOUR SNOW TIRES WERE PLACED IN STORAGE FOR SIX MONTHS IN THE SUMMER TIME. WHEN THE CONTACT WENT TO THE STORAGE UNIT TO RETRIEVE THE TIRES, SHE NOTICED THAT THE TREAD WAS SEPARATED ON ONE SIDE OF THE TIRES. THE TIRES WERE ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE VIN AND VEHICLE FAILURE MILEAGE WERE UNKNOWN. THE APPROXIMATE TIRE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 25,000.

THE POWER DOOR FELL OFF THE DRIVERS SIDE!
INTERLOCK SHIFT ISSUE. YOU CAN REMOVE THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION WHILE IN DRIVE. THE ISSUE WAS INITIALLY CORRECTED VIA A RECALL. THE ISSUE IS NOW HAPPENING AGAIN. DEALERSHIP/ HONDA IS NOT WILLING TO FIX IT BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T DUPLICATE ON A LEVEL SURFACE. IT REPEATEDLY HAPPENS WHEN I PULL INTO MY DRIVEWAY WHICH IS ON A SLANT. MY CONCERN IS THAT THE CAR STARTED ROLLING WHILE MY KIDS WERE GETTING OUT OF THE CAR. MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE THAT I CANNOT GET ADDRESSED. THIS ISSUE IS INTERMITTENT AND DOESN'T ALWAYS HAPPEN LIKE THEY SAY IT SHOULD. THE VEHICLE IS STOPPED AT THE TIME OF ISSUE. IT OCCURS DURING THE PROCESS OF TURNING OFF THE CAR AND EXITING THE VEHICLE. DATES IT OCCURS SINCE JUNE OF 2017. MILEAGE WAS A LITTLE LESS THAN 159000 WHEN IT STARTED AGAIN.

THE FAILURE CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO UNINTENTIONALLY DECELERATE TO APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH AND THE CHECK ENGINE AND TRACTION CONTROL WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. ALSO, THE GEAR INDICATOR BLINKED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT SPOKE TO THE DEALER (TROY HONDA 1835 MAPLELAWN DR, TROY, MI 48084) WHO STATED THAT BASED ON THE CODE THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC PULLED, THE TRANSMISSION FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 240,000.
WE LIVE IN MINNEAPOLIS, WE DROVE THE CAR TO HOUSTON ON 5/112017. OUR CAR WAS IN A CRASH IT HIT THE FRONT CAR AND IT WAS COMPLETELY DAMAGED IN THE FRONT AND HAS BEEN TOTALLED. THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY WHEN THE CAR WAS IN AN ACCIDENT AND MY WIFE SITTING IN THE PASSENGER SEAT , THOUGH WAS WEARING THE SEAT BELT HIT IN FRONT AND HER CHEST HIT THE DASHBOARD AND CAUSED IMMEDIATE PAIN. THE CAR WAS RECALLED ONCE AND THE HONDA DEALER IN WHITE BEAR LAKE SAID THE AIRBAGS WERE REPLACED BUT STILL THEY DID NOT WORK.

THE RPMS INCREASED TO EIGHT THOUSAND RPMS AND THE VEHICLE FAILED TO SHIFT OUT OF SECOND GEAR. THE CONTACT WAS FORCED TO SHIFT INTO NEUTRAL GEAR AT 25 MPH IN ORDER TO COAST. THE CONTACT MANAGED TO SHIFT INTO DRIVE FROM NEUTRAL GEAR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 04V176000 (POWER TRAIN). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 249,000.
MY IGNITION LOCKED UP LADT YEAR AFTER YEAR IF IT HANGING UP HAD TO BE TOWED TO DEALER WHERE THEY FIXED THE RECALL IN THE IGNITION BUT STATED THE LOCKING UP WAS UNRELATED. IT IS LESS THAN A YEAR AND IT IS HANGING UP AGAIN BUT THIS TIME IT INTERMITTINGLY WILL NOT CATCH TO START LIIKE A DEAD BATTERY IF YOU TRY ABT 3 TIMES IT STARTS. CALLED DEALER THEY DO NOT CARE AND NEITHER DOES HINDA CASE MANAGER THEY JUST WANT YOU TO GET PASS AIR BAGS FIXED. I WANT ALL FIXED AT ONCE. THIS WILL BE THIRD TRIP FOR AIRBAGS. DEALERS SO FAR AWAY AS HAVE TO RENT CAR . TOLD THEM I WAS NOT RENTING CAR AGAIN AS I FOUND OUT THEY GAVE SOME PEOPLE LOANERS. ANYWAY I NEED IGNITION FIXED AND I DO NOT WANT TO WAIT TIL IT HAS TO BE TOWED. I THINK IT IS A BAD PART RELATED TO THE OTHER IGNITION RECALL SND SO FORS MY MECHAUV. THE CONTACT SPOKE TO THE DEALER AGAIN AND WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS A FAILURE WITH THE SRS ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT AND THAT THE DEALER DEACTIVATED THE AIR BAGS, WHICH MEANT THEY WOULD NOT DEPLOY IN A CRASH. HONDA VEHICLES WITH A TAKATA AIRBAG MAY BE ENTITLED TO A PAYMENT FROM A CLASS ACTION SETTLEMENT
TORQUE CONVERTER AND TRANSMISSION WENT OUT ON VEHICLE. EVERYDAY AS DRIVING MAIN STREETS OR HIGHWAYS WHILE ACCELERATING THE CAR WOULD FEEL LIKE ITS GONE INTO NEUTRAL FOR 5-15 MIN VARYING. AND WILL PICK BACK UP ON ACCELERATION. TOOK VEHICLE IN FOR INSPECTION I WAS TOLD THE TRANSMISSION IS GOING OUT. WHEN I TOOK IT IN FOR REPAIR WAS TOLD THE TRANSMISSION WENT OUT DUE TO TORQUE CONVERTER OVER HEATING MELTING A PART TO THE COOLANT SYSTEM AND ALSO DAMAGING THE TRANSMISSION. I TRIED TO PULL RECALLS COMPLETED ON VEHICLE BUT NOTHING SHOW FOR THE AT PARTICULAR PART BUT I U DERSRAND THERE WAS I NEED .WHAT WILL BE THE PROTOCALL FOR POSSIBLE REIMBURSEMENT ON REPAIRS.
ENGINE, SUSPENSION OR UNKNOWN ?: THREE OF THE 4 MOTOR MOUNTS ARE BROKEN AND NOT SUPPORTING THE ENGINE. THE ONE REMAINING MOTOR MOUNT IS UNDER EXTREME STRESS AND CAN FAIL ANYTIME. I HAVE HAD TWO DEALER SERVICE MANAGERS CONFIRM THIS PROBLEM AND BOTH HAVE SAID THAT THEY ARE NOT COVERED UNDER ANY WARRANTY OR RECALL. BOTH HAVE WARNED ME THAT IT IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE BECAUSE IF THE LAST MOUNT FAILS IT COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. THE CONDITION OF THE ROADS AND FREEWAYS MAKE IT VERY HARD TO AVOID POT HOLES AND I HOLD MY BREATH EVERY TIME I HIT ONE TO SEE IF THE MOTOR IS OK. ELECTRICAL: 1. AFTER I HAD THE AIR BAGS THAT WERE RECALLED REPLACED THERE IS AN ELECTRICAL ?? PROBLEM THAT TURNS THE RADIO ON AND OFF (I CAN USUALLY CHANGE IT BY BEATING ON THE STEERING WHEEL BUT THAT DOESN'T ALWAYS WORK.) 2. OCCASIONALLY WHEN I REMOVE THE KEY IT CONTINUES TO BEEP UNTIL I BEAT ON THE STEERING WHEEL. 3. OFTEN WHEN I HIT A BUMP IN THE ROAD THERE IS A LOUD ELECTRICAL (CRACKING LIKE A SHORT) SOUND IN THE SPEAKERS THAT SOMETIMES I CAN STOP BY BEATING ON THE STEERING WHEEL. IF IT DOESN'T STOP I PULL OVER AND TURN THE CAR OFF AND RESTART IT. 4, THE DOOR AND SLIDER LOCKS DO NOT WORK ON THE PASSENGER SIDE WITH THE REMOTE OR THE LOCKS ON THE DRIVER'S DOOR. I HAVE TO ROLL THE WINDOW DOWN SO A PASSENGER CAN UNLOCK THE DOOR OR SLIDER MANUALLY. THESE PROBLEMS HAVE BEEN GOING ON FOR THE LAST 2+ YEARS. I AM A VERY LOW INCOME 75 YEAR OLD SENIOR WHO CAN'T AFFORD $1000+ TO REPLACE THE FAILED MOTOR MOUNTS. I'VE PUT OUT $750 IN THE LAST YEAR TRYING TO SOLVE THE ELECTRICAL ISSUES AND TRANSMISSION FLUSH.

WHILE IN MOTION, MY VEHICLE WILL SPORADICALLY NOT SHIFT INTO A HIGHER GEAR. THIS RESULTS IN LACK OF ACCELERATION AND HAS CAUSED PROBLEMS WHEN TRYING TO MERGE INTO TRAFFIC, CROSSING HIGHWAYS AND INTERSECTIONS WHICH CAUSE THE NEED FOR OTHER DRIVERS TO SWERVE AROUND ME. NO MATTER HOW MUCH GAS I GIVE THE THING, IT WILL NOT SPEED UP OR SHIFT INTO GEAR UNTIL SOMETHING HAPPENS THAT CAUSES A SUDDEN JOLT, AND THEN IT WILL JUMP INTO GEAR. ON THE CONTRARY, IT ALSO GEARS DOWN ON ITS OWN WHILE IN MOTION OR DOES NOT SHIFT INTO A GEAR AT ALL AFTER STOPPING AT A STOP SIGN OR RED LIGHT. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES WHILE TRYING TO CROSS THE HIGHWAY NEAR MY HOME. WHEN THIS HAPPENS, I MUST SHIFT INTO PARK OR REVERSE AND THEN BACK INTO DRIVE UNTIL IT GOES INTO GEAR. I CROSS MANY HIGHWAYS DAILY WHICH PUT MY CHILDREN AND I AT AN UNNECESSARY RISK. I HAVE RESEARCHED THIS, AND I AM NOT THE ONLY OWNER EXPERIENCING THESE ISSUES. THEY NEVER HAD THE AIRBAGS, THEY LIED ABOUT INSTALLING THEM AND I CAN'T EVEN SELL THIS THING LEGALLY AS IT WAS ILLEGALLY SOLD TO ME, THERE IS NOT TEETH NOR TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE IN THIS RECALL THAT CAN AND WILL CAUSE MORE DEATHS. YOU'RE FORCING ME TO PUT A DATE ON THIS RIDICULOUS FORM SO WHICH DATE DO I USE? THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR TWO YEARS! I HAVE FILED A COMPLAINT FOR THIS AND APPARENTLY IT'S BEEN LOST OR IGNORED.
