The vehicle was towed to her residence. The failure had occurred several times. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 284,000.
The contact owned a 2004 Honda Odyssey equipped with Michelin CrossClimate 2 Tires, Tire Size 255/60R112VXL, DOT Number: Not Available. The contact stated that while her husband was driving at an unknown speed and turning a corner, the front driver's side tire suddenly blew out, causing the vehicle to roll a few times, then flip, crashing into a tree where it came to a stop. The air bags did deploy. The driver sustained a fracture to the neck, and he was declared deceased on the scene. The vehicle was towed and totaled. A police report was filed. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
I’ve seen several recalls on the transmission for Honda odysseys that are 2004 just like mine . My transmission has been horrible for the entire time Ive had it. When accelerating, it jumps super hard from 1st into 2nd gear. switching from first gear to 2nd. Sometimes I have to manually switch it into D3 just to get the vehicle moving again. I’ve found this to be pretty scary at times . I’ve searched and searched to see if I had a recall for the transmission and I haven’t but It did show the SRS system recall which I did have serviced. I’m making this complaint because I feel like my vehicle has been affected and overlooked
SRS light is on they said it was the air bag or riverside buckle
The contact owns a 2004 Honda Odyssey. The contact stated while driving at approximately 55 MPH, the engine revved up high however, the vehicle failed to respond as needed. Additionally, the contact stated that there was a burning odor coming from the vehicle. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact pulled over and waited for a while before restarting the vehicle and driving to the residence. The vehicle was not taken to an independent mechanic nor a local dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 200,000.
As the result of a recall, my driver airbag inflator was replaced. Soon afterwards, my horn started honking when hitting, bumps or moving the steering wheel. I returned the vehicle to the dealership, and they said they adjusted something that seem to help for a short period of time. However, the problem returned upon taking the car to another dealership. I found that the automotive repairman stated that the wrong part for the inflator had been installed. I returned it to the original dealership and they refused to address the problem. The dealer is persons Honda at 15525 Frederick Rd., Rockville, MD 20855.

The contact owns a 2004 Honda Odyssey. The contact stated while driving 20 MPH the driver-side front air bag deploy on its own without any impact, causing the contact to drive off the road and struck a tree and causing damages to the front end of the vehicle. No one was injured. No police report was filed. The vehicle was not towed, but the contact was able to drive the vehicle home. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 168,000.
SRS light is on, diagnostic test done at Honda Dealer ($149.00), drivers seat belt buckle was at fault, Dealer ordered part and to install at no cost to me. Light would come on for a week or two maybe longer when vehicle was started. Not sure if my airbags were compromised with this light On. Why was I charged for test, I feel this test cost should also be paid by Honda
Good Morning, On Monday, September 19, 2022. I talked with Chris from Honda. com. He told me to take the vehicle back to the same repair dealership where I had issues with repairing the vehicle. I said trusting them is hard for me because they had the vehicle 3 different times and the airbags and vehicle are still not repaired. Chris told me " I will call you back later, by the end of this week". As of yet, I have not heard back from Chris at Honda.com thank you. John Phillips. Ps. receipts were previously submitted.
Issues: 1. The malfunction was a heavy grinding noise from the rear of the vehicle on the passenger side. 2. Also, the recall status was incomplete. 3. The repair dealership inspected the vehicle. 4. No warning lamps or anything appears. 5. The vehicle issues information was sent to Honda.com on August 9, 2022.
In have traffic on hwy van quit pulling causing a major traffic problem upon checking Honda failed to mount a proper cooling system for the Trans even though they acknowledge doing so refuse to do anything about it apparently there's a lot of these on road luckily someone wasn't killed that day
On 6-14-2022, I installed a full set of these tires - from Costco, Florence, KY ( all four tiers have been installed in Costco ), to prepare to travel with my family from Kentucky to Louisiana. Early morning on 6-22-2022, while driving on the highway with my family, suddenly we lost control of the vehicle, and it started to swing. fortunately, the vehicle stopped on the left shoulder without hitting anything. when we looked outside the vehicle, we found everything is good except the flat tire on the front driver's side. 911 and AAA have been called.
until today, 4/3/2022, no issues with 2004 Honda Odyssey transmission. today after driving 5 minutes from home the engine roared and forward drive was lost. the car was balky getting it home and would not climb a moderate hill. after a 30 minute rest the car would move forward and was able to reach home shifting from D1 to D2 made no difference shifting into Low made no difference trans fluid is at normal level but its dark, not burnt, just dark 2nd hand car purchased 5 years ago with 80,000 miles trans serviced at 125,000 miles [XXX], (220,000 miles). My transmission will not shift into third fourth or fifth and I see that there is a recall on the transmission for the 2004 Honda Odysseys and I was wondering how I go about getting this repaired that’s what mines doing it won’t shift I have to manually shift it from 1st to 2nd as far as It can go.
The contact owns a 2004 Honda Odyssey. The contact stated while driving 70 MPH, the vehicle stalled without warning. Due to the failure, the contact moved the vehicle off to the shoulder of the highway and had the vehicle towed to an independent mechanic. Upon investigation, the contact discovered NHTSA Campaign Number: 04V176000 (Power Train) which he linked to the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not included in the recall. There was assistance offered. The vehicle was not repaired and remained in the possession of the independent mechanic. The failure mileage was approximately 202,000.
My 2004 has codes relating to transmission problems, along with ongoing codes for emission problems. I have taken it in and it dose need a new transmission. It also needs emission work . I have been told that this rare with this make and model. Also the input for the gas is not working well.
Side wall of tire split causing tire to lose air pressure available for inspection upon request. Tire went flat when driving. No No No
We were driving and was at a stop, when we went to go, our van wouldn't move. We shut it off then restarted it and it was ok for about a mile then started shaking a little & we could only go about 10 mph on a highway. We got home after it being off restarted it it goes into gear but won't go anywhere no warning lights came on at all we keep up on maintenance too.
TRANSMISSION FAILURE OCCURED WHEN DRIVING IN RT 5 FREEWAY PAST GLENDALE AND 134 JUNCTION, CAR WAS RUNNING IN ABOUT 60 MILES SPEED AND CAME ABRUPT STOP (LOSS OF DRIVE/PULL IN A VERY DANGEROUS WAY). MANAGED TO PUSH IT TO BREAKDOWN LANE. THEN UPON TURNING OFF THE ENGINE AND AFTER A WHILE I COULD DRIVE A BIT TO PARK IN INTERNAL ROAD. I THEN TOWED THE CAR. LATER, I DROVE IN INTERNAL ROAD. SAME PROBLEM OCCURS. WHEN PLACED IN AUTOMATIC DRIVE (D) VEHICLE RUNS FOR FEW MILES AND SUDDENLY FAILS TO RUN AND STOPS. CHANGING GEAR DOESN'T HELP. WHEN IGNITION IS TURNED OFF AND ON BACK AGAIN, IT WORKS AGAIN FOR A MILE OR TWO AND SHOWS SAME PROBLEM. WHEN PROBLEM OCCURS, IT DOESN'T MOVE IN ANY GEARS. RESEARCHING IN INTERNET, HONDA 2004 ODYSSEY TRANSMISSION FAILURE OCCURRING AT 117,000 MILES WAS REPORTED ALL OVER THE INTERNET. AS IF IT WAS PROGRAMMED BY HONDA, THIS MINI VAN TOO FAILED AT 117K MILES. SOME OWNERS HAVE CLAIMED (INCLUDING YOUTUBE VIDEOS) THAT HONDA IS AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM AND HAVE TAKEN CARE OF THE REPAIR AT NO COST. SOME ALSO CLAIM THAT HONDA HAS SECRET WARRANTY TO COVER THIS PROBLEM AND HAD AVAILED THE REPAIR FREE OF COST .THIS IS A KNOW PROBLEM TO HONDA. HONDA MUST REPAIR FOR FREE AND DO THE JUSTICE TO CONSUMERS. THIS IS INDEED FATAL TOO.
GOOD EVENING, I AM FILING A COMPLAINT AGAINST AMERICAN HONDA MOTOR CO. LAST YEAR, THE MANUFACTURER FAILED TO REMEDY THE ONGOING AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION RECALL 04V-176. BRAMAN HONDA IN MIAMI, FLORIDA DID NOT INSPECT THE TRANSMISSION AS REQUIRED AND LIED ON THEIR WORK ORDER THAT THE TRANSMISSION IS BAD. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT TOOK 7 HOURS WITH MY VAN. PLEASE SEE ATTACHED. MY TRANSMISSION WAS IN WORKING CONDITION WHEN IT TAKEN TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT LAST YEAR. I AM CURRENTLY EXPERIENCING THE ISSUES THAT THE RECALL WARNS THAT MAY HAPPEN DUE TO THE ONGOING GEAR ISSUES. LAST WEEK, WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, MY VAN'S TRANSMISSION LOCKED UP AND I ALMOST HAD AN ACCIDENT. FORTUNATELY, I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE IT HOME SAFELY. I RELY ON MY VAN FOR WORK THEREFORE THIS MATTER IS AFFECTING US FINANCIALLY. MY WIFE RECENTLY CALLED THE MANUFACTURER'S RECALL HOTLINE AND SPOKE WITH LISA. THE REP ADVISED THAT I WILL HAVE TO TOW MY VAN AND PAY OUT OF POCKET, FOR THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT TO EVALUATE THIS ISSUE. SINCE THE MANUFACTURER FAILED TO REMEDY THIS RECALL LAST YEAR, I AM REQUESTING THE FOLLOWING: I WOULD LIKE FOR AN ENGINEER OR MECHANIC TO BE DISPATCHED TO OUR HOME AND CHECK THE TRANSMISSION. ONCE THE MATTER IS ASSESSED, THEN I CAN PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR MY VEHICLE TO BE TOWED TO A NEARBY AUTHORIZED HONDA DEALER FOR SERVICE. LISA EXPLAINED TO MY WIFE THAT THERE IS A 50/50 CHANCE THAT THIS TRANSMISSIONRECALL ISSUE WILL ACTUALLY BE REPAIRED WHICH IS UNACCEPTABLE. I CURRENTLY LIVE IN FLORIDA WHICH IS THE THIRD STATE WITH THE HIGHEST AMOUNT OF COVID-19 CASES THEREFORE THIS WOULD BE THE MOST FEASIBLE OPTION. LAST YEAR'S CASE WITH THE MANUFACTURER WAS CLOSED PREMATURELY EVEN THOUGH MY WIFE ADVISED IT WAS STILL ONGOING. WITH THAT SAID, DUE TO BRAMAN HONDA'S NEGLIGENCE, I AM CURRENTLY WITHOUT A VEHICLE SINCE IT IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE IT IN THIS CONDITION. THANK YOU. *JS
THE METAL BRACKET THAT IS RIVETED TO THE FRONT DRIVER SEAT SECURING IT TO THE FRAME SNAPPED. THE BOTTOM OF THE SEAT IS LOOSE AND IN A COLLISION THE SEAT WOULD NOT HOLD THE DRIVER IN A FIXED POSITION.

THE CONTACT STATED HE SUSTAINED A TEAR IN HIS LEFT SHOULDER AND A HERNIATED DISK ON HIS LOWER BACK BUT DID NOT SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO LOCAL DEALER PLANET HONDA (2285 US-22, UNION, NJ 07083, (908) 964-1600). IN A SECOND INCIDENT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH A DEER CRASHED INTO THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE CAUSING SEVERE DAMAGE TO THE FRONT END BUT NO AIR BAGS DEPLOYED AND THE DRIVER SIDE SEAT BELT FAILED TO SECURE THE DRIVER. A MESSAGE SRS FAILURE HAD DISPLAYED. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED A TORSO INJURY AND SMALL LACERATIONS FROM THE SHATTERED GLASS. NO MEDICAL TREATMENT WAS REQUIRED. A POLICE REPORT WAS TAKEN AT THE SCENE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TOWED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ROUTE 22 HONDA (1480 N. BROAD ST, HILLSIDE NJ) WHO REPLACED THE DRIVER SIDE SEAT BELT AND BUCKLE WAS REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. BRACKET HOLDING SEAT TO BODY OF VEHICLE SNAPPED. APPEARS TO BE MANUFACTURED INCORRECTLY. FAILURE OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD CAUSING THE SEAT TO SUDDENLY JERK AND FALL.
MY DAD RECIEVED A LETTER IN THE MAIL SAYING HE HAS TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO FIX THE AIRBAG AND THE WEB SITES ARE NOT EVEN HELPING HIM MAKE AN APPOINTMENT.
OUR DRIVERS SIDE PLASTIC MOLD HAS COMPLETELY BROKEN THE SEAT FRAME HAS ALSO BROKE CAUSING THIS TO BE A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE. IF I AM REAR ENDED, THIS SEAT WILL HAVE NO WAY TO PREVENT ME FROM BEING THROWN BACKWARDS! THE SEAT IS WOBBLY AND UNSAFE TO DRIVE! I HAVE READ MANY MORE COMPLAINTS WITH THIS SAME ISSUE! AFTER THE SLIDING DOOR ON THE DRIVER SIDE STOPPED WORKING, WE WAS STILL ABLE TO SWITCH OFF THE SWITCH AND OPEN/CLOSE IT MANUALLY A FEW TIMES. THE FOLLOWING MORNING TRYING TO DO THE SAME THING IT ONLY OPENED HALFWAY AND THEN WOULDNT LATCH CLOSED AS I TRIED THE SECOND TIME TO GET IT TO LATCH CLOSED THE WHOLE DOOR JUST FELL OFF TRACK. LUCKILY IT HAPPENED SITTING IN MY MOMS DRIVEWAY. I WOULD HATE TO HAVE SEEN WHAT WOULD HAD HAPPENED HAD I BEEN DRIVING WHEN IT CAME OFF SINCE MY 4 YEAR OLDS SEAT IS RIGHT THERE.
I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM HONDA AUTOMOBILE DIVISION INFORMING ME OF THE RECALL, AND STATING IN THE LETTER "FREE RENTAL CARS ARE AVAILABLE TO THE VEHICLE OWNER FOR THE DAY OF THE RECALL REPAIR, OR LONGER IF A REPLACEMENT PART IS TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE." I CALLED A LOCAL HONDA DEALER TO ARRANGE THE RECALL REPAIR AND WAS INFORMED THEY DON'T OFFER THE FREE RENTAL CAR SERVICE. I CALLED HONDA AUTOMOBILE DIVISION TO ENQUIRER ABOUT THIS SERVICE. THEY TOOK MY INFORMATION AND WILL HAVE AN ANSWER FOR ME WITHIN 24-48 HOURS I CAN EXPECT A CALLBACK WITH AN AUTHORIZATION SERVICE. THE WAY THE LETTER IS WORDED IMPLIES A FREE RENTAL IS AVAILABLE, NO WHERE IN THE LETTER DOES IT STIPULATE UPON DEALER APPROVAL, OR ANY FINE PRINT INDICATING ANY STIPULATIONS AROUND THE FREE CAR RENTAL. FROM THE LETTER, I EXPECT A LOANER WHILE REPAIRS ARE PERFORMED, YET HONDA HAS TO AUTHORIZE THIS. THE DEALER INFORMED ME TO BRING THE LETTER IN WITH ME BUT I CAN'T TAKE THE TIME TO TRAVEL THERE IN CASE I'LL BE DENIED A RENTAL. MY JOB REQUIRES I TRAVEL PERIODICALLY, AND IF SUCH ARISES WHILE MY VEHICLE IS BEING REPAIRED UNDER THE RECALL, I WILL NEED A LOANER. I WILL BE HAPPY TO PROVIDE A SCAN OF THE LETTER IF NEEDED BUT UNFORTUNATELY WE DON'T HAVE A SCANNER AT WORK.
THE VAN IS GOING BACKWARD WHEN YOU PUT IT IN DRIVE AND WHEN YOU PRESS IT DOES NOT GO FORWARD IT JUST REVS UP THE GAS. THE CAR WAS IN MOTION DRIVING WHEN IT WENT FROM DRIVING TO REVING THE GAS AND NOT GOING FORWARD.
OUR 2004 HONDA ODYSSEY DRIVER SIDE SEAT BROKE FROM THE BRACKET. THE WELDS THAT HOLD THE SEAT TO THE BRACKET BROKE CAUSING THE SEAT TO START TILTING AND WOBBLING WHILE WE WERE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE DUE TO THE FACT THAT IT IS POSSIBLE TO LOOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE WHILE DRIVING INCREASING RISK OF COLLISIONS.
MY HUSBAND WENT TO THE STORE, CAME BACK FOR MY 3 YEAR OLD AND I. TURNED THE CAR OFF AND CAME INSIDE FOR 10 MINS, WHEN WE CAME OUT TO LEAVE, THE ENTIRE CAR WAS FILLED WITH SMOKE AND FIRE. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT BELIEVES IT WAS THE SEAT MOTOR THAT MALFUNCTIONED.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 157,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 109,571.

SHIFT CAR ONTO GEAR D AND IT DOES NOT MOVE. AFTER A GOOD 6 TO 8 SECONDS IN GEAR IT WILL MOVE FORWARD.ALSO WHILE DRIVING ABOUT 35 TO 40 MILES PER HOUR TRANSMISSION SHIFT ERRATICALLY.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 HONDA ODYSSEY. WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH, THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE POWER SLIDING DOOR OPENED INADVERTENTLY AND FAILED TO LATCH AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS. UPON ATTEMPTING TO CLOSE THE DOOR, AN ALARM SOUNDED. THE CONTACT PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER AND WAS ABLE TO LATCH THE POWER SLIDING DOOR AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUAL POWER SLIDING DOOR MECHANISM ON THE DASHBOARD REMAINED INOPERATIVE. THE CONTACT RE-ENTERED THE VEHICLE AND THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THREE DIFFERENT INDEPENDENT REPAIR FACILITIES AND EACH ONE DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE DEALER DID NOT STATE IF THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 04V176000 (POWER TRAIN). THERE WAS NO OPEN POWER TRAIN RECALL ON THE VEHICLE AT THE TIME OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER ISSUED 26 TSBS FOR THE POWER TRAIN. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN AND FAILURE MILEAGE WERE NOT AVAILABLE.
THE SLIDING PASSENGER DOORS CONTINUE TO FAIL TO OPEN ELECTRONICALLY AND ARE EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO OPEN IF THEY DO NOT OPEN ELECTRONICALLY. THIS CAN BE AN ISSUE FOR PASSENGERS IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT AS EVERYONE WOULD HAVE TO CLIMB OUT THE FRONT DOORS. THE DOORS CAN ONLY BE OPENED ELECTRONICALLY WHEN STATIONARY. WHEN ATTEMPTING TO OPEN MANUALLY, DOORS CAN ONLY BE OPENED A FEW INCHES.
NEED A RECALL TO BE ISSUED BY NHTSA OR PROPER GOV ORGANIZATION. THE PASSENGER SEAT BELT TENSIONER AND THE BUCKLE WERE REPLACED AFTER THE SRS LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. NOW THE DRIVER-SIDE BUCKLE AND SEAT BELT TENSIONER IS CAUSING A PROBLEM AND SRS LIGHT IS ON AGAIN. HONDA IS USING DELAY TACTICS. WANT TO SCAN THE CAR FOR $100 TO RE-CONFIRM THE SAME PROBLEM EVEN THOUGH THE CAR WAS SCANNED IN THE PRIOR WEEK! SRS LIGHT STAYS ON AFTER ENGINE START (OBVIOUSLY STATIONARY)
The vehicle was taken to Honda to have the airbag replaced. They said that the work couldn’t be completed because the airbag had already been deployed. They said that they needed to work with corporate to determine what the costs were going to be. I kept making calls to find out what the status was but I never heard back. I did speak to a couple of reps but they never got back to me. Also, I became very frustrated because they kept telling they would get back to me and never did. Basically, I kept having to chase someone down to no avail. Any help that you could provide would be greatly appreciated. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO STEVENSON-HENDRICK HONDA WILMINGTON (821 S COLLEGE RD, WILMINGTON, NC 24803). THE DEALER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 04V176000 (POWER TRAIN). THE DEALER STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 33,000.
CORROSION WITHIN THE FUEL PUMP WIRING CONNECTOR AND THE FUEL PUMP RETAINING NUT WAS CRACKED / BROKEN. CUSTOMER COMPLAINT WAS STALLING WHILE DRIVING, NO START CONDITION. TROUBLESHOOTING PROCEDURE INDICATED THE FUEL PUMP WIRING CONNECTOR WAS FAULTY THE INSPECTION REVEALED THAT THE CONNECTOR WAS CORRODED APPARENTLY FROM MOISTURE. THIS ISSUE IS CERTAINLY A SAFETY CONCERN CONSIDERING THE FAULTY CONNECTION CAN CAUSE LOSS OF ENGINE POWER -> LOSS OF POWER STEERING, AND THE FAULTY FUEL PUMP NUT CAN CAUSE GASOLINE FUMES TO ESCAPE CONTAINMENT WHICH MAY LEAD TO AN EXPLOSION / FIRE. IF THE CONNECTOR WAS JIGGLED THE FUEL PUMP WOULD INTERMITTENTLY OPERATE AND OR FAIL. THE LOCAL HONDA DEALER REFUSED TO RECOGNIZE THE SAFETY RECALL CAMPAIGN # 04V42000 OR THE HONDA SERVICE BULLETIN #04-049, AND REFUSED TO MITIGATE THE PROBLEM WITHOUT OFFERING THE OPTION TO REPAIR THE ISSUE OUTSIDE OF THE RECALL WHICH WOULD COST THE CUSTOMER $454.32 FOR THE FUEL PUMP REPAIR KIT IN ADDITION TO SERVICE FEES OF AT LEAST $374.00. THE VEHICLE WAS INITIALLY TOWED-IN AND PRESENTED FOR SERVICE ON JUNE OF 2018. THE HONDA DEALER IS PROVIDING WIRING HARNESS, RETAINING NUT AND GASKET AT A COST TO THE CUSTOMER.

IN THE LAST INCIDENT, AS DESCRIBED BY MY WIFE, SHE WAS DRIVING UP 41, AND THE ENGINE WENT UP TO AROUND 4000 RPM. THE CAR SLOWED DOWN AND SHE SMELLED TRANSMISSION FLUID BURNING. SHE HAD TO WAIT ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD FOR A WHILE, AND THEN IT STARTED TO WORK AGAIN. SHE GOT IT TO A SAFER PLACE AND THEN LET IT COOL FOR LONGER. SHE WAS ABLE TO GET IT TO GO HOME, WHICH WAS A COUPLE MILES AWAY, AND WE HAVE NOT DRIVEN IT SINCE. WE HAD THIS TRANSMISSION REBUILT BY SHAWS AUTO SALES 2 TIMES. THE MOST RECENT TIME WAS LESS THAN 1 YEAR AGO. WE HAVE NOT DONE ANY ABNORMAL DRIVING, OR ANY TOWING, OR ANYTHING. JUST NORMAL DRIVING. SO WE EXPECTED THE FIX TO LAST LONGER THAN THIS.
