I AM VERY, VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE TREATMENT I HAVE RECEIVED AS A HONDA OWNER. I OWN A 2004 HONDA ODYSSEY. THE SEATBELT RANDOMLY STOPPED WORKING AND THEY ARE REFUSING TO FIX IT UNDER THE LIFETIME WARRANTY. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING HONDAS MY ENTIRE ADULT LIFE. CORPORATE MADE ME JUMP THROUGH HOOPS TO GATHER MY REGISTRATION INFORMATION FROM 2000! THEY SAID IF I COULD SHOW LOYALTY TO THE BRAND THEY WOULD FIX IT UNDER THE "GOOD WILL PROGRAM." THEY SAY THE CAR WAS WRECK BEFORE I BOUGHT IT AND THAT IS WHAT MESSED UP THE SEATBELT. HOWEVER, I PURCHASE THE CAR IN 2013. IT HAS BEEN WORKING FOR 5 YEARS AND THEN RANDOMLY GOES OUT BECAUSE OF AN ACCIDENT MORE THAN 5 YEARS AGO?! WHERE IS THE LOGIC?!!! WELL, SHOWING THAT I PREVIOUSLY OWNED A HONDA ACCORD WASN'T GOOD ENOUGH FOR CORPORATE TO CORRECT THEIR MISTAKE, BECAUSE I DIDN'T HAVE IT SERVICED AT A HONDA DEALERSHIP. I WAS LIVING IN BFE MISSISSIPPI AT THE TIME. HOW WAS THAT MY FAULT? THE HONDA DEALERSHIP IN ROCKWALL, TEXAS IS A JOKE. THEY DETERMINED THEY WEREN'T GOING TO FIX IT RIGHT OFF THE BAT. UPON FURTHER RESEARCH, IT SEEMS HONDA SKIMPS OUT ON SEATBELTS. THIS IS WHERE THEY CUT COSTS. I HAD NEVER HAD A MAJOR PROBLEM WITH A HONDA UP UNTIL THIS POINT. THIS ISN'T FIXING SOMETHING THAT IS NO BIG DEAL: LIKE THE SPEAKER THAT FADES IN AND OUT OR THE LOCKS THAT DON'T ALWAYS UNLOCK TOGETHER. THIS IS MY LIFE THEY ARE PLAYING WITH! IT IS DISGUSTING! DO NOT BUY HONDA! I NEVER WILL AGAIN. TOYOTA WOULDN'T TREAT A LIFE LONG CUSTOMER LIKE THIS.
AMERICAN HONDA MOTOR CO., INC GIVES ME THE RUN AROUND ON FOLLOWING THE TAKATA RECALL.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 HONDA ODYSSEY. UPON TAKING THE VEHICLE IN FOR STATE INSPECTION, IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE REAR BENCH SEAT WAS LOOSE DUE TO CORROSION OF THE UNI-BODY. AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE FAILED INSPECTION. DUE TO THE CORROSION, IT WAS UNSAFE TO HAVE PASSENGERS IN THE SEAT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC OR DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 255,000.
TAKATA AIRBAG RECALL:I GOT AN INFORM THAT LET ME MAKE SURE IF NEED REPAIR MY AIRBAG AND TRY TO GET A FREE REPAIR HERE.

AT 123,000 MILES TRANSMISSION FAILED WITH UNCONTROLLED GEAR CHANGES ON ROAD AND LOUD THUMP IN CHANGING GEAR FROM PARK TO DRIVE WHEN STARTING IN MORNING. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WOULD NOT GO OFF. DEALER SAID A NEW TRANSMISSION WAS REQUIRED. AFTER INSTALLATION AND TRAVELLING TO 131,000 MILES THUMPING REOCCURRED IN CHANGE FROM PARK TO DRIVE. WAITING ON DEALER RESPONSE.
CANNOT PUT KEY IN IGNITION FULLY AND/OR CANNOT TURN KEY IN IGNITION TO START CAR.
THE DRIVER SEAT BROKEN FOR NO REAZON, THE ALUMINIUN[ PART ,THE SEAT SUDDEN ROCKS BACK AND FORTH AND IS NOT STABLE
I OWN HONDA ODESSY SINCE 09/ 2017. I REPLACED TIMING BELT WITH ONE YEAR WARRANTY, BECAUSE THE PREVIOUS OWNER DID NOT DO IT. 12/09/16 I TOOK MY HONDA ODESSY 2004 TO MANHATTAN HONDA DEALERSHIP FOR RECALL. I ASKED TO HONDA REPRESENTATIVE TO CHECK AND TELL ME WHAT IS NECESSARY TO REPLACE OR REPAIR. I KNEW THAT TRANSMISSION RECALL FOR HONDA ODESSY 2004 WAS OPEN AND TOLD THEM TO CHECK AND REPAIR IT IF IT IS NECESSARY, BUT THEY REFUSED TO DO IT THEY TOLD ME THAT MY HONDA HAS MANY ISSUES AND REPAIR ALL NECESSARY THINGS WILL COST ME $10000. THE FUEL PUMP, TIMING BELT, WHICH I ALREADY REPLACED, AND TRANSMISSION CLUTCH WAS INCLUDED IN THE REPAIR LIST. LAST MONTH I HAD A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE WHEN DRIVING THIS CAR. IT WAS LOOSING POWER AND STOPPING WHEN I WAS DRIVING. IT WAS DANGEROUS FOR TRAFFIC. IT OCCUR ON VERY DANGEROUS SPATS, LIKE EXITS FROM HGWAY, BROOKLYN BRIDGE ETC., I COULD START UP CAR IN 5 MINUTES AND IT WAS DRAWING WITH NO PROBLEMS THEN. IT WAS A FEW TIMES LIKE THIS AND THE LAST TIME I DROVE HOME AND COULDN'T START UP THE CAR NO MORE. I TOWED CAR TO REPAIR SHOP AND MECHANIC TOLD ME THAT MY FUEL PUMP NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. I CAME HOME AND STARTED RESEARCH AND FOUND THE RECALL FOR HONDA ODESSY FUEL PUMP, FOR HONDA ODESSY THAT WAS BUILT ON AND AFTER 06/21/04 IS ON RECALL FOR FUEL PUMP REPAIR OR REPLACE. MY HONDA ODESSY WAS BUILT 06/2004 I REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP AND CAR IS RUNNING VERY GOOD NOW AND I DO NOT HAVE THIS PROBLEM AGAIN. BECAUSE I HAD THE FUEL PUMP PROBLEM AFTER MY CAR WAS ON RECALL, AND BECAUSE THEY KNEW THAT FUEL PUMP REPLACE WAS INCLUDED IN RECALL, AND THEY KNEW THAT MY CAR HAS THIS PROBLEM AND DID NOT FIXED IT I AM HEREBY ASKING THE HONDA DEALERSHIP TO REIMBURSE MONEY THAT I SPENT ON FUEL PUMP REPAIR $653.03. I ALSO ASKING HONDA DEALERSHIP TO CHECK AGAIN A TRANSMISSION AND REPAIR IT, IF IT IS NECESSARY.
DRIVER'S SEAT HAS COME LOOSE AND IT IS NOT STABLE WHEN DRIVING, ESPECIALLY WHEN ADJUSTED FOR DIFFERENT DRIVES IN THE FAMILY. WENT TO DEALER AND THEY SAID THEY DON'T FIX THAT!!! MOVES SIDE TO SIDE AND STAYS ON ONE SIDE. HAPPENS WHEN DRIVING, AND WHEN STOPPED.
I TOOK MY VEHICLE IN TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT TO HAVE A RECALL PERFORMED. THEY WERE TO REPLACE THE SRS ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT REPLACED. WHEN I TOOK THE VEHICLE IN THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS ON. AFTER THEY COMPLETED THE RECALL MY SRS WARNING LIGHT IS ON. THE LIGHT HAS NEVER BEEN ON IN THE 10 YEARS THAT I HAVE OWNED THE VEHICLE. SO AS IT TURNS OUT I TOOK A CAR WITH NO PROBLEMS IN TO THE DEALER TO HAVE A RECALL PERFORMED AND THEY RETURNED A DEFECTIVE CAR TO ME. THEY REFUSE TO FIX WHATEVER THEY DID TO CAUSE THE SRS MALFUNCTION LIGHT TO COME ON AND STAY ON.
SRS LIGHT IS ON.DEALERSHIP IS CHARGING A DIAGNOSTIC FEE AND POSSIBLY MORE CHANGES THEREAFTER. ANYTHING RELATED TO SEAT BELTS IS SUPPOSED TO HAVE A LIFETIME WARRANTY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 HONDA ODYSSEY. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS OR WHILE PARKED, THE ENGINE WOULD SUDDENLY REV TO OVER 5,000 RPMS. THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED WITHOUT WARNING. WHEN THIS OCCURRED, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED TO THE FLOOR AND THE VEHICLE FAILED TO STOP IMMEDIATELY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS CURRENTLY UNABLE TO SHIFT FROM PARK. THE FAILURE OCCURRED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 178,000.
NHTSA TICKET #: 1068744 I AM SUBMITTING THIS COMPLAINT BECAUSE I TOOK MY 2004 HONDA ODYSSEY TO RUDOLPH HONDA IN EL PASO, TX TO CORRECT FOUR RECALLS. THE RECALLS WERE NOT CORRECTED BECAUSE MY VEHICLE NOW HAS ITS SRS INDICATOR LIGHT CONSTANTLY ON ALONG WITH THE SIDE AIRBAG OFF AND PASSENGER AIRBAG OFF INDICATOR LIGHTS FLASHING. FAILED COMPONENT 2: SRS ECU
THERE IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM WITH THE REAR BUMPERS RUSTING AWAY WITH NO WAY OF KNOWING. MY FAMILY RODE AROUND IN THIS CAR FOR MAYBE 2-3 YEARS WITH A BUMPER THAT HAD RUSTED SO BADLY IT WAS LITERALLY FALLING APART, BUT REMAINED INSIDE OF THE BUMPER COVER, SO WE DID NOT KNOW IT. FINALLY IT RUSTED SO BADLY THAT IT BEGAN TO LEAVE RUST STAINS ON THE DRIVEWAY AND I TRACED IT TO THIS PROBLEM. BY THIS TIME THE BUMPER WAS ALMOST GONE. IT PROBABLY PAST THE POINT OF PROVIDING ANY PROTECTION MAYBE 2 YEARS AGO. THIS CAR HAS A REAR FACING SEAT AND IS USED OFTEN. IT TERRIFIES ME TO KNOW A REAR END COLLISION AT PRACTICALLY ANY SPEED WOULD HAVE BEEN FAR WORSE THEN IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN AND PROBABLY IMPACTED THE FUEL TANK, AGAIN, AT FAR LOWER SPEEDS THAN IT WOULD NORMALLY. MY SEARCH ON THE INTERNET SHOWS THIS IS NOT AN ISOLATED ISSUE, THERE ARE PLENTY OF PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT THIS. IN MY OPINION THIS NEEDS TO BE CHECKED OUT ON ALL ODYSSEY'S. PEOPLE ARE DRIVING AROUND THINKING THEY ARE PROTECTED AND PROBABLY AREN'T. A REAR COLLISION COULD RESULT IN DEATH DUE TO THE GAS TANK BEING LEFT UNPROTECTED AND REAR PASSENGERS EXPOSED TO SERIOUS INJURIES AT MUCH LOWER SPEEDS. I DO NOT LIVE IN AN AREA WITH LOTS OF SALT WATER OR SALTED ROADS, THERE IS NOT A RUST ISSUE ANYWHERE ELSE, THIS SEEMS TO BE ISOLATED TO JUST THE REAR BUMPER.
I STOPPED BEHIND A CAR WAITING TO MERGE FROM A PARKING LOT TO HIGHWAY 193. THE CAR AHEAD PULLED OUT A LITTLE. THEN APPARENTLY CHANGING HIS MIND, HE BACKED UP INTO ME. I HAD NOT PULLED FORWARD, BUT HE STILL TOTALED MY CAR. SURPRISINGLY, MY AIRBAGS DID NOT INFLATE. THE COLLISION BENT MY HOOD, CRACKED THE GRILL, BROKE THE BUMPER.

THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 75,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 HONDA ODYSSEY. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE CONTACT HEARD A NOISE COMING FROM THE STEERING WHEEL AND THE SRS WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT ALSO NOTICED AN OPENING IN THE CENTER OF THE STEERING WHEEL WHERE THE AIR BAG WAS VISIBLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V045000 (AIR BAGS). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 170,000.
THE DRIVERS SEAT ALL OF A SUDDEN ROCKS BACK AND FORTH AND IS NOT STABLE. I REMOVED THE SIDE PANEL AND COULD SEE THE METAL BRACKET THAT IS RIVETED TO THE SEAT HOLDING FRAME BROKE - METAL ACTUALLY CRACKED ON IT. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY WHEN PROBLEM STARTED.

WHILE THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED AT A LOW SPEED AND THEN ACCELERATED AT NORMAL SPEED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO ROBERT AUTO MALL (19 PARK LANE, DOWNINGTOWN, PA 19335, (610) 269-8200) WHERE THE CONTACT WAS PROVIDED A HISTORY REPORT REGARDING THE TRANSMISSION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND CONFIRMED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL ASSOCIATED WITH THE VIN. THE CONTACT WAS PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 06612914. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 156,000.
THE SRS LIGHT COMES ON INDISCRIMINATELY. CONCERNED ABOUT THE AIR BAG AND SAFETY RELATING TO IT. IT COULD HAPPEN DRIVING OR WHILE ITS STATIONARY. SECONDLY THE YELLOW CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS CONSTANTLY ON. FUEL SYSTEM LEAK ACCORDING TO A TECH. HE SAID IT WASN'T WORTH FIXING. THIRDLY, THE DOOR LIGHTS AND REAR COURTESY BRAKE LIGHT COMES ON OCCASIONALLY, BUT THEN GOES OFF.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 HONDA ODYSSEY. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR A RECALL REPAIR; HOWEVER, THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. WHEN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT WAS OCCUPIED, THE SENSOR INDICATED THAT THE AIR BAG WAS OFF. THE DEALER WAS NOTIFIED BY PHONE, BUT DID NOT PROVIDE THE CONTACT ANY FEEDBACK. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 HONDA ODYSSEY. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V3440000 (AIR BAGS); HOWEVER, THE PART FOR THE RECALL REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND OPENED A CASE ON THE CONTACT'S BEHALF. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
ON 8/25/2016 I TOOK MY 2004 ODYSSEY TO ANDERSON HONDA AT PALO ALTO FOR NORMAL OIL CHANGE. AFTER THE WORK WAS DONE THEY SHOWED ME THAT THE OIL DRAIN PLUG WOULD NOT TORQUE DOWN TO SPECS (JUST SPINS). THE OIL WAS LEAKING FROM THE OIL PAN. ANDERSON HONDA'S SERVICE ADVISOR DENIED THAT THEY OVER-TORQUED THE PLUG. THE MILEAGE WAS ONLY 67637, THE PLUG HAD BEEN TAKEN OFF AND PUT ON FOR ONLY ABOUT A DOZEN TIMES AND IT'S THE ORIGINAL HONDA PART IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. BEFORE THE OIL CHANGE THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY CAR AND DURING THE LAST TIME MAINTENANCE AT ANOTHER HONDA DEALER THE CAR WAS CHECKED WITH EVERYTHING OK. ON 8/29/2016 I TOOK MY CAR TO VICTORY HONDA AT SAN BRUNO TO FIX THE PROBLEM. THE OIL PAN WAS REPLACED. THE OLD OIL PAN SHOWED THE SCREW IN THE OIL PAN WAS DAMAGED BY THE STEEL PLUG. THE CAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM COULD BE: 1 ANDERSON HONDA'S TECHNICIAN OVER-TORQUED THE PLUG AND DAMAGED THE OIL PAN. BUT THEY CLAIMED THAT THEY ARE HONDA OFFICIAL DEALER AND THEY DIDN'T OVER-TORQUED IT. 2. HONDA'S PARTS OR DESIGNS HAVE DEFECT. THEY SHOULD NOT PUT STEEL PLUG ONTO A SOFT METAL PAN DIRECTLY. I THINK THE COST OF REPLACING DAMAGED OIL PAN SHOULD BE PAID EITHER BY ANDERSON HONDA OR HONDA OF AMERICA. THE CUSTOMER SHOULD NOT PAY FOR THEIR FAULT. THE SAFETY ISSUE OF THIS TYPE OF PROBLEM IS OIL LEAKING (HARMFUL TO OUR ENVIRONMENT), ENGINE FAILING ON THE ROAD IF DAMAGED PLUG FALLS OFF. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR INVESTIGATING THIS ISSUE. AFTER I BRING MY CAR TO DEALER THEY FIX THE SRS CONTROL UNIT RECALL, THEN THE SRS LIGHT ALWAYS ON THEN THEY TELL ME NEED TO PAY FOR THE PART OPDS UNIT WILL NOT INITIALIZE. WHY I HAVE TO PAY FOR OPDS PART BEFORE MY CAR NEVER HAVE THAT HAPPEN.

TAKATA RECALL. WE RECEIVED A SAFETY RECALL NOTICE FROM HONDA IN JUNE 2016 REGARDING A PROBLEM WITH OUR PASSENGER FRONTAL AIRBAG INFLATOR. THE NOTICE SAID HONDA WOULD REPLACE THE AIRBAG INFLATOR FREE OF CHARGE. THE NHTSA RECALL NUMBER IS 16V-344. BEGINNING ON JULY 7, 2016, I TRIED SEVERAL TIMES TO CALL MY LOCAL HONDA DEALER (OURISMAN HONDA IN BETHESDA, MD) TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT FOR THE REPLACEMENT. HOWEVER, THEY HAVE REFUSED TO CALL ME BACK TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT. I CALLED AMERICAN HONDA'S CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER TO FILE A COMPLAINT AND NO ONE CALLED ME BACK. BOTH AMERICAN HONDA AND THEIR DEALER (OURISMAN HONDA) HAVE FAILED TO REMEDY THIS DEFECT WITHIN 60 DAYS OF THE DATE THAT I FIRST CONTACTED THE DEALER FOR A REPAIR APPOINTMENT (JULY 7, 2016).

I WAS TURNING RIGHT INTO A PARKING SPOT AND HAD MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE THE WHOLE TIME. WHEN I WAS MORE THAN HALFWAY IN THE SPOT, THE ENGINE REVVED AND THE CAR PLUNGED FORWARD GOING OVER THE CONCRETE BARRIER AND INTO A POLE. THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY AND THANKFULLY EVERYONE WAS OK. THE OFFICER INVESTIGATING THE CRASH INSISTED THAT MY FOOT MUST HAVE SLIPPED OFF THE BRAKE PEDAL BUT I AM POSITIVELY SURE THAT MY FOOT WAS ON THE BRAKE THE WHOLE TIME AS IT WAS STILL ON THE BRAKE WHEN THE CAR CAME TO A STOP AFTER HITTING THE POLE. WITNESSES TO THE CRASH CONFIRMED THAT I WAS TRAVELING VERY SLOW AS I PULLED IN THE PARKING SPOT AND THAT THEY HEARD THE ENGINE REV AND THE CAR ACCELERATED VERY FAST OVER THE BARRIER AND INTO THE POLE.

THIS IS ABOUT TRYING TO GET OUR RECALL FIXED AT HENNESSY HONDA IN WOODSTOCK GA. THEY ARE NOT FIXING THE RECALL UNLESS IT'S WITHIN 10-3 M-F AND THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE WITHIN 40 MINUTES. HERE WHAT HAPPENED: I RECENTLY RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE ABOUT MY AIRBAGS. I LIVE IN CHEROKEE GEORGIA AND JUST CALLED MY LOCAL DEALER WHO I'VE HAD GREAT EXPERIENCES WITH WITH PREVIOUS RECALLS AND GETTING IT FIXED ON THE WEEKEND. WHEN I CALLED THIS TIME THEY TOLD US THAT THEY COULDN'T LOOK UP THE RECALL ON THEIR COMPUTER AND THAT THEY DON'T DO RECALLS ON THE WEEKEND. AFTER WE EXPLAINED OUR WORKING SCHEDULE ISN'T CONDUSIVE FOR ANY WEEKDAYS AND THAT THEY FIXED IT LAST TIME. HE SAID THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO WAY TO FIX THE RECALL ON THE WEEKEND AND IF THEY WE DON'T LIKE IT GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I STATE I WORK AND HAVE 2 SMALL CHILDREN IN WHICH I'M CONCERNED ABOUT THEIR SAFETY AND THAT MY JOB IS NOT FLEXIBLE AND I CAN'T TAKE OFF, CAN'T THEY PLEASE FIX IT ON THE WEEKEND. WE ARE ABOUT TO TAKE A LONG TRIP TOO! TRANSMISSION SLIPPING WHILE DRIVING ON CITY STREET - TRANSMISSION NEEDS TO BE REPLACED
I STOPPED AT A STOP SIGN, THEN TURNED RIGHT AND PRESSED THE GAS TO ACCELERATE. THE VAN THEN SHUDDERED VIOLENTLY AND THE WHEELS COMPLETELY SEIZED UP. I COULD NOT DRIVE OR CONTROL THE VEHICLE. THE VAN SKIDDED TO A STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. IT WAS COMPLETELY LOCKED UP AND WOULD NOT GO INTO ANY GEAR, INCLUDING NEUTRAL OR REVERSE. I HAD MY FAMILY EXIT THE VAN BUT HAD TO LEAVE THE VAN IN THE ROAD. LUCKILY, THE POLICE SHOWED UP QUICKLY TO MAKE SURE THAT THE VAN WASN'T HIT. THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE WINCHED ONTO A FLAT BED TOW TRUCK AS THE TIRES WERE COMPLETELY LOCKED UP.

THE BRAKES ARE WAY TOO SOFT! I ALMOST HIT A KID IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD WHEN I COULD NOT STOP AS QUICKLY AS I SHOULD HAVE GOING 30MPH. I HAVE TO PUSH THE BRAKES ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR IT IS INSANE. I HAVE HAD THE BRAKES BLED, NEW PADS PUT IN, NEW CALIPERS PUT IN AND NO FIX HAS WORKED.

THE BRAKE WARNING LAMP CAN ILLUMINATE, INDICATING A LOW BRAKE FLUID CONDITION, ALTHOUGH NO LEAKING BRAKE FLUID IS VISIBLE THROUGHOUT THE SYSTEM. A WORN REAR MASTER CYLINDER SEAL CAN CAUSE FLUID TO LEAK INTO THE BRAKE BOOSTER, WHICH WILL CAUSE DIMINISHED BRAKE PERFORMANCE OVER TIME. THERE IS ALREADY A RECALL ISSUED FOR THIS SAME ISSUE ON 2005-2007 ODYSSEYS, BUT I BELIEVE IT ALSO APPLIES TO 2004 ODYSSEYS.
