DRIVING THROUGH A LOCAL PARK WITH 3 SPEED TABLES, AFTER CROSSING THE 3RD TABLE I HEARD A CLUNK FROM THE ENGINE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE, LOST THE POWER STEERING AND THE CHECK CHARGING SYSTEM LIGHT CAME ON. I HAD TO KEEP DRIVING AS THERE WAS NO SAFE PLACE TO STOP. I DROVE SLOWLY WITHOUT POWER STEERING, THE CLUNKING CONTUNIED UNTIL SOMETHING BROKE FREE AND I NOTED IT'S LOCATION ON THE ROAD IN THE REAR VIEW MIRROR. I WAS ABLE TO GET BACK TO THE PLACE WITHIN 30 MINS SO THE PART WAS STILL THERE. IT WAS A METAL RING WITH GROOVES ON THE OUTSIDE, LOOKED LIKE A BELT WENT ON IT. I GOT IT TO A SHOP AND THEY TOLD ME THE HARMONIC BALANCER WAS GONE AND THAT IT WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND LOOSING STEERING IS A BIG SAFETY ISSUE, AND NEEDS TO BE LOOKED INTO BY HONDA.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 HONDA ODYSSEY. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE PASSENGER SIDE CURTAIN AIR BAG DEPLOYED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED BURNS ON HER NECK FROM THE SEAT BELT. THE REAR PASSENGER OCCUPANT SUSTAINED SLIGHT BURNS TO THE WRIST. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS NOT REQUIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENTIRE OCCUPANT RESTRAINT CONTROL SENSOR AND UNIT FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 84,211. UPDATED 05/20/16*LJ
MY HONDA ODYSSEY IS BURNING TOO MUCH OIL THAN IT SHOULD. I AM NEEDING TO ADD 1 QUART EVERY 2 WEEKS IF THAT AS IT IS ALREADY DOWN 1 QUART. IT IS REGULARLY ON TIME GOING IN FOR OIL CHANGES AND HAS BEEN SERVICED SINCE I'VE BOUGHT IT IN 2015. IT HAS HAD MANY OTHER ISSUES AND HAS BEEN REPAIRED. NOW THIS IS SEEMINGLY A PROBLEM. THE OIL PERCENTAGE IS NOT TELLING ME THAT IT IS LOW OR NONE AT ALL. NO OIL DUMMY LIGHTS HAVE COME ON WHEN I HAVE NOT A DROP OF OIL. I HAVE SWITCHED AND USED HIGH MILEAGE OIL RATHER THAN CONVENTIONAL AND GO EVERY 3,000 MILES & EVEN DID A TREATMENT RECENTLY. NOTHING IS DOING THE JOB.
AIR BAR WARNING ON AND OFF FOR UNKNOWN REASONS.
OUR 2005 HONDA ODYSSEY VIBRATES, ESPECIALLY AROUND 35-45 MPH. HONDA TOLD US THAT THE ENGINE MOUNTS HAVE BROKEN AND THAT IS WHAT IS CAUSING IT. THEY ARE NOT A CHEAP FIX. ENGINE MOUNTS, THE LAST THING THAT YOU WOULD THINK WOULD GO OUT ON A VEHICLE! YET, WHEN YOU GO ONLINE, THIS APPARENTLY SEEMS TO BE A MASSIVE PROBLEM WITH THESE VANS. HONDA HAS A PROBLEM WITH THEIR ENGINE MOUNTS BRAKING AND THIS SEEMS TO BE OK WITH THEM. THIS IS NOT OK. THEY NEED TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS FAILURE. WE HAVE ALREADY BEEN THROUGH HAVING TO REPLACE MANY OTHER FAILURES FROM HONDA THROUGHOUT THE YEARS, INCLUDING REPLACING THE FUEL CAP BEFORE THEY RECALLED IT. WE WILL NO LONGER BE PURCHASING HONDA VEHICLES.
FOR NO REASON THE CHECK AIRBAG SYSTEM LIGHT CAME ON
WHILE DRIVING, ACCELERATION OF FIRST GEAR IS HAMPERED, VEHICLE HAS LOSS OF POWER AND SLIPS GEARS. UNABLE TO GET OUT OF THE WAY OF FAST MOVING TRAFFIC OR THE ABILITY TO GET OUT OF THE WAY WHEN IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSY INTERSECTION SAFELY. VEHICLE HAS LESS THAN 57000 MILES ON ENGINE.
TAKATA/ AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT GOES ON AND OFF. THIS .TLY. USUALLY COMES ON AND STAYS ON WHEN DRIVING. IT USUALLY DOES NOT APPEAR IMMEDIATELY WHEN RESTARTING THE VEHICLE IMMEDIATELY.
MY NAVIGATION SYSTEM SOMETIMES WORKS AND SOMETIMES NOT I WANT TO KNOW WHY IT'S DOING THAT
INTERMITTENT AIRBAG LIGHT, WHILE DRIVING. GOES OFF FOR DAYS, THEN SHOWS UP AGAIN.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 146,824.
THE SAFETY HAZARD IS PRESENT WHEN THE DOOR MALFUNCTIONED (ELECTRIC AND NON ELECTRIC MODE), AND WILL NOT CLOSE LEAVING A DANGEROUS SITUATION FOR PASSENGER CHILDREN. THE DOOR WILL NOT COMPLETELY LATCH CLOSED WHILE IN MOTION. THE DOOR STILL WOULD NOT CLOSE WHILE IN MANUAL USE (ELECTRIC DOOR SWITCHED OFF). AFTER SLIDING THE DOOR OPEN TO SHUT IT, THE DOOR BECAME STUCK IN AN OPENED POSITION AND COULD NOT BE CLOSED.
AROUND 10:30 AM ON WEDNESDAY, 1/13/16, DRIVER-SIDE SLIDING DOOR WOULD KEEP OPENING UP "COMPLETELY VOLUNTARILY" WHEN THE VEHICLE (2005 HONDA ODYSSEY EX) WAS IN MOTION AND BEING OPERATED ON A LOCAL FREEWAY. MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS TO CLOSE THE DOOR EITHER USING THE REMOTE/AUTOMATIC DOOR-CLOSING SWITCH BY THE STEERING WHEEL OR MANUALLY (UPON STOPPING THE VEHICLE ON THE ROADSIDE) WOULD NOT FIX THE ISSUE. THE SLIDING DOOR KEPT OPENING UP "VOLUNTARILY" ONCE THE VEHICLE WAS PUT BACK IN MOTION / DRIVE MODE (ATTEMPT TO OPERATE THE VEHICLE). THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE DRIVEN BACK HOME, ITS NORMAL PARKING LOCATION, WITH THE SLIDING DOOR OPEN DURING THE DRIVE (APPROXIMATELY 10 MILES FROM HOME).

MY 2005 HONDA ODYSSEY HAS AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR ALWAYS ILLUMINATED ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. WHEN PASSENGER SITS AND NOT WEARING SEAT BELTS ITS NOT WARNING EVEN THE CAR IS IN MOTION. IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT SOME PANEL NEEDED TO BE REPLACED BY ONE OF THE HONDA DEALERSHIP AND THEY HAVE NOT GIVEN MORE DETAILS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2005 HONDA ODYSSEY. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH, THE BRAKES FAILED AND MADE A ROARING NOISE. THE BRAKE PEDAL TRAVELED TO THE FLOORBOARD WHEN DEPRESSED AND THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE REAR OF THE PRECEDING VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED TO A TOW YARD. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 140,000.
THE CHECK AIR BAG SENSOR COMES ON FOR NO KNOWN REASON.
ON NOVEMBER 2015 WE WERE TRAVELING BACK FROM VACATION. AS WE STOPPED FOR A BATHROOM BREAK WE OPENED THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE DOOR OPENED AND IT WOULD NOT CLOSE BACK. . IT TOOK SEVERAL HOURS TO GET THE DOOR BACK ON TRACK IN ORDER FOR IT TO BE SHUT. THE DOOR THEN DID NOT OPEN, CAUSING A SAFETY HAZARD. IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY I COULD BOT USE THE DOOR TO GET MY CHILDREN OUT. THE END OF FEBRUARY 2016, WHILE DROPPING THE CHILDREN OFF AT A BABYSITTER, THE DRIVER REAR PASSENGER DOOR OPENED AND AGAIN WOULD NOT CLOSE. I HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO A SHOP WHERE I HAD TO REPLACE THE CABLE, THE MOTOR AND OTHER COMPONENTS. I FEEL THAT THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD TO THE BODY OF THE VEHICLE.
DEALER SAID 2 ENGINE MOUNTS BAD. THE FRONT ONE, IS OVER $500 JUST FOR THE PART. TWO ISSUES: HOW WAS IT DETERMINED THIS PART WAS BAD AND WITH SUCH A SIGNIFICANT PRICE FOR ONE OF THEM (THERE ARE TWO ON THIS MODEL), I TAKE ISSUE WITH THE OBVIOUSLY FLAWED DESIGN. I AM SERIOUSLY CONSIDERING LEGAL ACTION REFERENCING BOTH THE ABOVE ISSUES. MY BIGGEST CONCERN IS A FAULT DESIGN TO DRIVE SERVICE SALES LATER IN THE LIFE OF THE VEHICLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 HONDA ODYSSEY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING, THE STEERING WHEEL WAS TIGHT AND THE SERPENTINE BELT FRACTURED. IN ADDITION, THE BOLTS FRACTURED ASSOCIATED WITH THE SUSPENSION PULLEYS MORE THAN TWICE CAUSING A FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED MORE THAN ONCE AND TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC A THIRD TIME, WHO REPLACED THE SERPENTINE BELT, THE BOLTS AND THE PULLEYS. THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC CHECKED WITH THE MANUFACTURER ON THE OEM PARTS THAT HAD BEEN ORDERED AND THEY STATED THAT THE BOLTS WERE NEWLY DESIGNED BUT PROVIDED NO RESOLUTION ON WHY THE BOLTS PREMATURELY FRACTURED THREE TIMES. THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC REPAIRED THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 05V039000 (STEERING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
THE BACK MOTOR MOUNT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. I HAVE LOW MILEAGE IN THIS VEHICLE AND THE ENGINE SHUDDERS WHEN IT IS IN THE ECO SETTING.

ON SATURDAY AUGUST 1, 2015, I WAS ON MY WAY FROM THE AIRPORT WITH THREE OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS WHEN THE VAN SUDDENLY LOST POWER AND STALLED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. UPON SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO RESTART IT, THE VAN WOULD CRANK, BUT WOULD NOT TURN OVER. MY FUEL GAUGE AND LIGHT WERE NOT INDICATING NO FUEL (WHICH WAS THE FIRST THING THAT THE OFFICER WHO ASSISTED IN PUSHING THE VEHICLE OFF THE ROAD LOOKED AT). THE LOCAL AUTO REPAIR SHOP RAN A DIAGNOSTICS ON THE VEHICLE AND DECIDED THAT ALL THE VEHICLE'S SIX CYLINDERS WERE MIS-FIRING DUE TO LOW FUEL PRESSURE (5PSI) AND THAT I NEEDED A NEW FUEL PUMP. THE LAST TIME I HAD DRIVEN THE VAN PRIOR TO AUGUST 1, WAS JULY 21, 2015 WHEN I TOOK IT TO HONDA DEALER FOR THE FUEL PUMP FILTER REPLACEMENT (THE VEHICLE HAD 147,504 MILES ON IT LEAVING THE DEALERSHIP). THE DEALER CALLED TO TELL ME THAT THE REASON WHY THE VEHICLE STOPPED WAS THAT I HAD RUN OUT OF FUEL. I ASKED HOW THE CYLINDER MISFIRINGS AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT THAT CAME ON EARLIER ON AUGUST 1ST WAS RELATED TO AN EMPTY TANK, THE SERVICE MANAGER SAID THAT THEY WERE RELATED. BUT HE SAID HE COULD NOT PROMISE THAT THE VEHICLE WILL NOT STALL AGAIN BECAUSE ALL THE FUEL PUMP PART COULD BE GETTING OLD AND FAILING. NOW, ABOUT THE FUEL GAUGE THAT "FAILED" TO WORK AFTER THE FUEL PUMP RECALL WORK WAS DONE, THE DEALERSHIP REFUSED TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AND CLAIMED THAT THEIR TECHNICIAN RECHECKED WHAT HE DID ON JULY 21ST AND FOUND NO PROBLEM WITH IT. FURTHERMORE, IT APPEARS THAT THE PROBLEM WITH THE 2005 ODYSSEY FUEL PUMP IS DEEPER THAN THE "FILTER" REPLACEMENT PATCH THAT HONDA HAS IMPROVISED TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE. PLEASE HELP US GO AFTER HONDA OF AMERICA TO DO THE RIGHT THING BY REPLACING ALL DEFECTIVE FUEL PUMPS AND NOT JUST THE FUEL PUMP FILTER.

DRIVING AT ABOUT 65 THEN ACCELERATION, THE CAN STARTS TO SHACK BAD, TO THE POINT DANGER TO DRIVE, I WAS ABLE TO ADVOIDE A CRASH, DON'T KNOW ABOUT NEXT TIME. LOOKED ONLINE THIS HAPPENED TO ALLOT OF PEOPLE AT DIFFERENT NUMBER OF MILES, AS LITTLE AS 50K AND DIFFERENT SPEEDS (40-65)ODYSSEY'S 2005-2010. DESIGN PROBLEM. MAY HAPPEN MULTIPLE TIMES IN LIFE OF VAN, CAR BE EXPENSIVE TO FIX EACH TIME. I BOUGHT THIS VAN USED WITH 145K EXPECTED SOME PROBLEM. BUT FROM WHAT I HAVE FOUND THIS IS A BIG PROBLEM TO ALLOT OF DRIVES. DANGER, DANGER, DANGER

THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
DURING ACCELERATION, AND PARTICULARLY WHILE TURNING AND ACCELERATING (E.G. LEFT HAND TURNS FROM A STOP LIGHT), THE VSA INDICATOR (TRIANGLE WITH EXCLAMATION POINT) WILL FLASH REPEATEDLY AND THE VEHICLE WILL DECELERATE (NOT NECESSARILY BRAKE) UNTIL IT REACHES THE STANDARD IDLE SPEED OR UNTIL THE WHEELS STRAIGHTEN OUT AND THE VSA INDICATOR STOPS FLASHING. THIS HAPPENS WHEN TURNING EITHER RIGHT OR LEFT AND LEAVES THE VEHICLE EXPOSED IN INTERSECTIONS WITH UNEXPECTED INABILITIES TO ACCELERATE OUT OF AN INTERSECTION. IT IS INTERMITTENT BUT HAPPENS MORE OFTEN THAN NOT.

TRAVEL AT HIGH SPEED IAW SPEED LIMITS AND TRAFFIC FLOW, NOTICED SURGING (LIKE SLIPPING) FROM TRANSMISSION, NOTICED DRIVE INDICATOR BLINKING, ENGINE REVS SURGING WITH TRANSMISSION SURGES. I HOPE TO MAKE NEAREST SAFE AREA TO PULL OVER (REST PLAZA LESS THAN 7 MILES AWAY) GOT 4 MILES. HAD REDUCED SPEED TO RELIEVE STRESS ON TRANSMISSION AND ENGINE. SPEED CONTINUED TO REDUCE SUDDENLY TO BELOW 45 MPH BEFORE I WAS ABLE TO FIND SAFE LOCATION TO PULL OVER. TRANSMISION LOCKED INTO DRIVE POSITION COULD NOT SHIFT TO ANY GEAR. NO GRINDING SOUNDS WERE EVER HEARD. I WAS BY MYSELF BUT THIS COULD HAVE HAPPENED TO ANYONE. COULD LEAD TO DEATH FROM BEING HIT FROM REAR BY ANOTHER CAR OR TRUCK AS TRANSMISSION'S RAPID RATE OF DECELERATION CAUSE BY ITS FAILURE. LOOKED UP BLINKING TRANSMISSION INDICATOR AND DID NOT FIND ANY WARNING OR NOTIFICATION AS TO POSSIBLE CAUSE. FOUND OUT THAT HONDA ODESSESY'S TRANSMISSION HAS HISTORY OF CATISTROPHIC FAILURE IF NOT SERVICED EVERY 35K (VARIES ACCORDING TO COMPLAINT). AGAIN NO WQARNING OF THIS POSSIBLE EVENT MENTIONED IN OWNER'S MANUEL. SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR USED I HAD NO KNOWLEDGE OF THIS PROBLEM OR ITS SERVICE RECORD. I DID HAVE IT SERVICED SHORTLY AFTER BUYING IT BUT AGAIN HAD NO WARNING. IRONICALLY, I'M AN AUTOMOTIVE RELIABILITY/SAFETY MANAGER BY PROFESSION.
WAS PARKED AT GROCERY STORE WHEN A CABLE SNAPPED ON OUR DRIVERS SIDE SLIDING DOOR. POWER WAS LOST TO THE DOOR AND UPON ATTEMPTING TO CLOSE THE MANUALLY THE DOOR FELL OFF AND COULD HAVE POTENTIALLY INJURED SOMEONE AS THE BACK OF THE DOORS CORNER HIT THE GROUND WITH ENOUGH FORCE TO CRUSH IF NOT SEVER A FOOT. THIS LEFT OUR VEHICLE DISABLED AND LEFT US STRANDED.
THE PASSENGER SIDE SLIDING DOOR WOULDN'T CLOSE AFTER 25 MINUTES OF TRYING AND FINALLY GETTING IT CLOSED I HEADED HOME. ONLY TO BE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND I CAN HEAR SOMETHING LIKE THE WINDOW IS DOWN YET IT'S NOT. ALL THE WINDOWS WHERE CLOSED AND THE AC WAS ON. THEN I SAW THE DOOR AJAR LIGHT IS ON FOR THAT DOOR. THE DOOR HAD COME UNLATCHED ENOUGH DROP TO CHANGE THROUGH. I BOUGHT THIS VAN AND LOVED IT NOW I AM SERIOUSLY RECONSIDERING EVER BUYING ONE AGAIN. MY SISTER HAS THE 2006 AND SHE HAS HAD IT HAPPEN WITH BOTH DOOR ONE EVEN COMING OPEN WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD GOING 40 MPH. MY OTHER SISTER ALSO HAS AN ODYSSEY THE 2003 AND SHE HAS ALSO HAS SAFETY ISSUES WITH HER POWER DOOR. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS VEHICLE TO ANYONE WITH ALL OF THE PROBLEMS I HAVE HAD AND NOW I'M HEARING MORE PEOPLE ARE HAVING THIS ISSUE.

ON JUNE 15, 2015 MY 2005 HONDA ODYSSEY AIRBAG SYSTEM LIGHT CAME ON AND STAYED UNTIL NOW, I WAS SCARED DUE TO AIRBAG MIGHT BLOWN OUT OR CAUSING ANY TROUBLE WHILE VEHICLE IN USE OR WORST SOMETHING HAPPEN. I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO HONDA DEALER ON JUNE 16, AND I WAS TOLD NO RECALLS. THEY DID SOME DIAGNOSE AND I WAS TOLD IT WAS THE SEAT BELT BUCKLE AND WIRING ON DRIVER SIDE, THE BUCKLE WAS REPLACE (FREE OF CHARGE), BUT THE WIRING COST $550 TO HAVE IT FIX. I REFUSED THE SERVICE DUE TO NO SENSE AND NOT ENOUGH EVIDENCE TO PROVE THE ISSUE. I DID SOME RESEARCH AND FOUND SAME ISSUE ON SAME VEHICLE THAT HAS AIRBAG SYSTEM LIGHTS ON DASHBOARD. I DO BELIEVE THAT THE DEALER SHOULD ADDRESS THIS AS RECALL ESPECIALLY IF THE VEHICLE NEVER BEEN IN ACCIDENT. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF THERE IS ANYTHING YOU CAN DO TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE. THANKS
BOTH MY SIDE DOORS HAVE BEEN BEEN MAKING NOISE. THEN MY PASSENGER SIDE DOOR WOULD NOT OPEN. WE USED THE DRIVERS SIDE REAR DOOR INSTEAD. ON THURSDAY, JUNE 11, 2015 WHILE OPENING IT THE ENTIRE DOOR FELL OFF AND SMASHED MY FOOT. BRUISING AND SWELLING ON MY BIG TOE BUT NOTHING TO GO TO ER OVER. ICED IT AND STILL HURTING A FEW DAYS LATER. CALLED HONDA AND THEY SAID IT WAS NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR. MY RESPONSIBILITY. OUT OF WARRANTY. RESEARCHED ONLINE AND THIS IS A VERY COMMON ISSUE. DOORS FALLING OFF THEIR VANS! SEEMS RIDICULOUS AND TIME FOR A RECALL. CUSTOMER SERVICE REP SAID THAT IT WAS MY CAR AND THEY WERE NOT RESPONSIBLE TO REPAIR IT. I SAID THAT COINCIDENTALLY I JUST HAD MY VAN IN FOR A RECALL (FUEL PUMP - WAS SMELLING GAS WHILE DRIVING IT) SO THAT'S NOT ENTIRELY TRUE. SOME THINGS THEY DO FIX FOR FREE. THIS SEEMS LIKE A MAJOR PROBLEM. I OPENED THE DOOR FOR MY 9-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER TO GET INTO THE CAR. WHAT IS THE DOOR FELL ON HER?
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 HONDA ODYSSEY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 60 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL SHOOK VIOLENTLY AND THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE FAILURE RECURRED DAILY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 96,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
THE STEEL WHEEL ON DRIVER SIDE FRONT WAS FOUND TO HAVE A MAJOR CRACK IN IT. UPON EXAMINATION BY HONDA OF WESTPORT, FETZER TIRE AND HANK MAY IT IS THEIR CONCLUSION THAT THE WHEEL HAS STRUCTURAL ISSUES THAT COULD LEAD TO A CATASTROPHIC ACCIDENT. THE WHEEL WAS PURCHASED AT HANK MAY IN STAMFORD CT., WHO GOT THE WHEELS FROM WHEEL FIX IT IN FREEPORT LONG ISLAND (WWW.WHEELFIXIT.COM/). THEY REFUSED TO ACKNOWLEDGE ANY ISSUE OR RESPONSIBILITY RE: THE WHEEL. IN ADDITION, THESE WHEELS I HAVE LEARNED....NEVER DID 'FIT' THE ODYSSEY. THEY WERE MACHINE LATHED POORLY AND BOUNCED ON THE HUB SPOKES, CAUSING VIBRATION. AGAIN, WHEEL FIX IT DENIES ANY ISSUE WITH THE QUALITY OF THE PRODUCT. I HAVE PHOTO'S OF THE CRACKED WHEEL WHICH I HAVE TAKEN OFF THE CAR, OF COURSE.
ABOUT FOR THE LAST TWO MONTHS ON DASH SHOW ME AN ALERT OF THE CHECK AIR BAGS . IN THE BEGINING WAS ON AND OFF , NOW IS STADY LIGHT WITH THIS ALERT.
AFTER STARTING THE CAR, SOMETIMES ERROR "CHECK AIRBAG SYSTEM" IMMEDIATELY APPEAR ON THE FRONT SCREEN PANEL. SOMETIME NO ABOVE ERROR SHOWED AFTER STARTING THE CAR.
THE ABS BRAKES PERFORM NORMALLY 90% OF THE TIME . HOWEVER AT LEAST ONCE DURING A TRIP USUALLY AT 5 OR 10 MPH SPEED I STEP ON THE BRAKES AND MUST FLOOR THEM WITH EXTREME PRESSURE TO GET THEM TO WORK .I END UP STOPPING 5 TO 10 FEET PAST WHERE I SHOULD . THE REMAINDER OF A TRIP THE BRAKES SEEM TO BEHAVE NORMALLY . NO BRAKE WARNINGS APPEAR ON THE DASH AND MY FLUID LEVEL IS NORMAL WITH NO VISIBLE LEAKS .
I'VE THIS HONDA ODYSSEY SINCE DEC 2010 WHEN THE MILEAGE WAS AROUND 42000 MILES. AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE FROM ANOTHER PERSON(1ST OWNER), I KNEW I HAD TO FIX THE ALL THE MOTOR MOUNTS. THE VEHICLE HAD JUST 44000 MILES AND I HAD CHANGED ALL THE MOTOR MOUNTS AT 45412 MILES ON 03/17/2011. NOW, AS OF 05/19/2015, THE VEHICLE HAS ONLY 96000 MILES. I HAVE TO CHANGE SIDE AND REAR ENGINE MOUNTS AGAIN ON 05/19/2015. THIS DEFINITELY IS A PROBLEM WITH HONDA PARTS AND HOW THEY ARE WORKING WHEN THE VAN IS IN MOTION. CHANGING MOTOR MOUNTS 2 TIMES IN LESS THAN 100,000 MILES IS REALLY DISAPPOINTING AND WASTE OF UNNECESSARY MONEY. MY WIFE USES THIS VAN FOR HER DAILY WORK COMMUTE. AS YOU CAN SEE, IT HAS LESS MILES AND I'VE DONE ALL THE SERVICES REGULARLY AS IT IS THE PRIMARY FAMILY VEHICLE. SO, I REQUEST HONDA TO CONSIDER THIS AS A GENUINE REQUEST FOR REIMBURSEMENT. I'VE THE RECEIPTS FOR THESE 2 SERVICES. ALSO, I'VE SEEN SEVERAL HONDA ODYSSEY 2005 VANS HAVE THIS PROBLEM, SO HONDA SHOULD RECALL THIS MOTOR MOUNTS PROBLEM AND FIX AT THEIR COST OR REIMBURSE FOR ALREADY REPAIRED VANS

THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 135,000.
