NOTICED A STRONG GAS SMELL OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE AND A FAINT ONE INSIDE. TOOK IT DOWN TO THE DEALERS AND THE SAID IT HAD A CRACK IN THE TOP OF THE FUEL PUMP. HONDA COVERED 1/2 OF THE SERVICE CHARGE BUT NOT THE ENTIRE COST SINCE THE CAR WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. HONDA PAID HALF IN "GOODWILL". *TR
GASOLINE SMELL STARTED TO COME FROM ALL AROUND THE VEHICLE. TOOK IT TO DEALER AND THEY SAID FUEL PUMP HOUSING HAS A CRACK WHICH IS MADE OF PLASTIC. DEALER SAID THERE WERE NO RECALL ON THIS BUT THE ISSUE SEEM TO BE HAPPENING TO FEW OTHERS ALSO. I THINK THIS SHOULD BE REPLACED BY MANUFACTURER SINCE IT MAY CAUSE A VEHICLE TO CATCH FIRE. *TR
THE AIR BAG MALFUNCTION LIGHT COMES ON SPORADICALLY. DID NOT RECEIVE A RECALL NOTICE BUT I SEE OTHER '05 ODY OWNERS ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. *TR
I WAS DRIVING 50-55MPH ON THE HIGHWAY, WHEN MY ENGINE MALFUNCTION AND BLINKING "D" INDICATOR CAME ON, I TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC AND IMMEDIATELY HE TOLD ME HE HAD OTHER HONDA COME IN WITH THE SAME PROBLEM, HE TOLD ME IT WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE TRANSMISSION, AND IT WAS SOMETHING FREQUENTLY IN MODEL YEAR FROM 1999-2006, AND THAT HONDA WAS IGNORING THE PROBLEM, PLEASE HELP I HAVE A 2005 HONDA ODYSSEY AND IT GIVING THE SAME ISSUES. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 HONDA ODYSSEY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT A STRONG ODOR OF FUEL EMITTED OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE NEAR THE REAR PASSENGER'S TIRE. THE DRIVER NOTICED THE CRACKED FUEL FILTER UNIT HAD CAUSED FUEL TO SPRAY OUT AND FILLED UP THE RIDGE AROUND THE FUEL FILTER SYSTEM WHENEVER STARTING THE IGNITION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THE FUEL FILTER, FUEL PUMP WIRE HARNESS AND THREE O-RINGS WERE REPLACED. THE SENDING UNIT WAS INCLUDED IN THE REPLACEMENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 45,444. .... UPDATED 10-17-13 *BF UPDATED 10/30/2013 *JS
I NOTICED THAT THE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON AND STAYS ON WHEN I DRIVE THE VEHICLE. I TOOK IT IN TO GET THE EMISSIONS CHECKED AND THE MECHANIC SUGGESTED I LOOK INTO RECALLS. FOUND ONE RELATED TO THIS, SO I CALLED HONDA TO DISCUSS. HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO REACH THEM YET. *TR
STEERING WHEEL IS SHAKING REALLY BAD AND PULLING TO THE RIGHT. *TR
WE TOOK OUR VAN IN FOR SERVICING AND COMPLAINED TO THE HONDA SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE THAT WE HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING VEHICLE VIBRATIONS THAT BECAME WORSE DURING REGULAR HIGHWAY SPEEDS WHEN THE VARIABLE CYLINDER MANAGEMENT (VCM) SYSTEM SHIFTED FROM 6 TO 4 CYLINDERS AND BACK AGAIN. WE ALSO STARTED EXPERIENCING A DISTINCT "CLUNK" SOUND DURING OUR VACATION TRIP IN LATE JUNE. THE HONDA DEALERSHIP INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND DISCOVERED THAT THREE MOTOR MOUNTS ("FRONT, REAR AND SIDE MOTOR MOUNTS") HAD FAILED AND NEEDED REPLACING. THE REPAIRS WERE MADE, AS WELL AS AN OIL/FILTER CHANGE, AND VEHICLE MULTI-POINT INSPECTION. THE SUBTOTAL COST FOR JUST THE MOTOR MOUNT REPLACEMENT PARTS AND LABOR WAS $987.13. WE DISCOVERED SEARCHING ON THE INTERNET THAT THIS TYPE OF PROBLEM, ESPECIALLY WITH THE REAR MOTOR, HAS BEEN REPORTED NUMEROUS TIMES BY OTHER 2005, 2006, & 2007 HONDA ODYSSEY EXL & TOURING MODEL OWNERS. WE ARE NOW SEEKING "GOODWILL CONSIDERATION" FOR ALL, OR MOST OF THE MOTOR MOUNT REPLACEMENT COST, SINCE LEARNING THAT THE ODYSSEY HASN'T BEEN RECALLED FOR CHECKS SINCE THE 1 DECEMBER 2006 SERVICE BULLETIN 06-083. *TR
I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH MY HONDA ODYSSEY. WE HAVE ALWAYS HAD HONDA CARS AND HAVE FOUND THEM TO BE RELIABLE UNTIL NOW. AFTER READING ALL OF THE RECALLS ON MY PERSONAL VEHICLE, I CAN HONESTLY SAY THAT 90% OF THE RECALLS OR COMPLAINTS HAVE HAPPENED WITH MY CAR AS WELL. MOST FRUSTRATING IS THE ENGINE MOTOR MOUNTS. BRAKES, TIRES, AND VIBRATION WHEN REACHING 60 MILES PER HOUR HAVE ALWAYS BEEN AN ISSUE. AFTER SPENDING LOTS OF MONEY ON THESE ISSUES OVER THE YEARS, IT SEEMS THAT TWO BROKEN ENGINE MOTOR MOUNTS AS WELL AS ONE MORE CRACKED ONE COULD BE THE REASON. MY CAR DOESN'T SEEM SAFE AND I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT HONDA WILL NOT LISTEN TO THE COMPLAINTS OF THEIR CUSTOMERS. THE MORE I TALK WITH OTHERS, THE MORE I REALIZE HOW BIG OF A PROBLEM THIS IS. I HOPE THAT SOMEONE DECIDES TO TAKE THIS ISSUE FURTHER. IT IS A SHAME THAT A CAR MANUFACTURER CAN NOT OWN UP TO SOMETHING THAT IS CLEARLY THEIR FAULT LIKE INADEQUATE ENGINE MOUNTS. WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR ANOTHER CAR, SINCE MINE NOW NEEDS BRAKES AND ROTORS AGAIN, TIRES AGAIN, AND PRICEY ENGINE MOUNTS THAT ORDINARY PEOPLE CAN'T AFFORD. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 HONDA ODYSSEY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG DEPLOYED INADVERTENTLY. THE CONTACT WAS NOT INVOLVED IN A CRASH AND THERE WAS NO IMPACT TO THE VEHICLE. CONTACT SUSTAINED CONCUSSION TO THE FOREHEAD AND INJURIES TO THE NECK AND SHOULDER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE WAS REPORTED TO THE MANUFACTURER. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 136,000.
TAKATA RECALL: CUT OFF MONITOR DOESNT ALLOW THE CAR TO KNOW IF SOMEONE IS IN THE SEAT OR NOT.
THE VEHICLE WAS A 2005 HONDA ODYSSEY. I WAS TRAVELING WITH MY TWO CHILDREN ON THE HIGHWAY, GOING 75 MPH AND SUDDENLY SAW A FLUME OF SMOKE BEHIND MY CAR. I NOTICE THE RPM JUMPED AND I STEPPED ON THE BRAKE IMMEDIATELY. IT SMELLED LIKE SOME LIQUID WAS BURNING. PULL THE CAR OVER ONTO THE SIDE OF THE INTERSTATE AND LOOK TO FIND SMOKE COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD AND THE TRANSMISSION FLUID HAD LEAKED AND SPRAYED ALL OVER THE ENGINE, HOSES, BATTERY, RADIATOR, ETC - CAUSING THE SMELL. TOWED IT BACK TO MY HOUSE. WHEN THE CAR GOT TO THE HOUSE, THE TOW TRUCK DRIVER SHOWED US THAT THE ATF HAD LEAKED PROBABLY COMPLETELY OUT OF THE TRANSMISSION. I WOULD LIKE FOR HONDA TO RECALL THE TRANSMISSION AND FIX MY CAR. IT'S NOT ONLY A DEFECTIVE TRANSMISSION, IT ALSO A HAZARDOUS - WHAT IF IT HAD CAUGHT ON FIRE - WHEN THE FLUID SPRAYED OUT. *TR
THE BRAKES ON THIS CAR NEVER WORKED WELL. THEY SCREECHED AND SQUEALED AND WERE SLOW TO RESPOND. DESPITE MANY TRIPS TO THE DEALER AND MECHANICS, THEY INSISTED NOTHING WAS WRONG. I REAR ENDED SOMEONE COMING DOWN A HILL BECAUSE I WAS UNABLE TO BRAKE. THE DIFFERENCE IN SPEED MUST HAVE BEEN AT LEAST 35 MPH. MY AIRBAGS DID NOT GO OFF. I HIT THE SEATBELT WAY TOO HARD. THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME DID HAVE HIS AIRBAGS GO OFF. *TR
THIS PROBLEM STARTED SEVERAL MONTHS AGO. IT BECAME WORSE TILL THE IGNITION KEY JAMMED AND BECAME HARD TO TURN TO START THE ENGINE THEN, LAST WEEK, THE KEY WOULD NOT TURN AT ALL. I CALLED MY DEALERSHIP AND WAS ASKED TO BRING IT IN TO THEM BUT WAS HESITANT TO. I WENT ON TO MY COMPUTER, DID A SEARCH, AND SAW SEVERAL COMPLAINTS ON THE 2005 ODYSSEY EXPERIENCING THIS PROBLEMS AND THE COST THAT THEY WERE QUOTED WAS ASTRONOMICAL. I THEN LOOKED UP A RELIABLE LOCKSMITH, THAT WORKED ON IGNITION SWITCH REPAIRS, LOCATED IN MY CITY AND THEY WERE ABLE TO REPAIR IT. THE TUMBLERS, ACTUAL ONE (1), HAD BECOMES WORN AND THAT CAUSED THE SWITCH TO FREEZE. I DO REMEMBER A RECALL ON EARLIER MODELS OF HONDA FOR HAVING THIS SIMILAR TYPE OF SITUATION. I DID FIND OUT DURING THIS VISIT WITH THIS LOCKSMITH THAT A LOCAL DEALER, NOT MINE, WOULD BRING THEIR HONDAS TO THEM, THAT HAD BEEN BROUGHT IN TO THEIR HONDA SERVICE DEPARTMENT, AND HAD THIS LOCKSMITH COMPANY DO THE ACTUAL REPAIRS. *TR
STEERING WHEEL SEVERE VIBRATIONS WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY AT 50 UP TO 70 MPH WENT TO AUTO MECHANIC AND REPLACED 2 ENGINE MOUNTS ($1113 TOTAL). *TR
THIS VEHICLE WAS NOT INVOLVED IN AN INCIDENT. I WANTED TO FILE A COMPLAINT REGARDING THE SAFETY FEATURE OF THE AIRBAGS. THE SRS LIGHT REMAINS ILLUMINATED ON THE DASHBOARD. I NOTICED A RECALL ON OTHER 2005 ODYSSEYS AND WANTED TO SEE IF OTHER 2005 ODYSSEY OWNERS HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME ISSUE. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT I TAKE SERIOUSLY AND SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY TO HAVE FIXED. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER. *TR
BROUGHT THE VEHICLE IN FOR SERVICE DUE TO A VIBRATION. THIS WAS THE 2ND TIME THAT I'VE BROUGHT IT IN FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. LAST TIME THE DEALER CLAIMED IT WAS AN ALIGNMENT / WHEEL BALANCE ISSUE. THIS TIME THEY HAVE CLAIMED THAT 2 OF THE 4 ENGINE MOUNTS ARE BROKEN. THEY ALSO SAID THAT THIS IS A COMMON OCCURRENCE FOR HONDA ODYSSEY'S. RESEARCH ON VARIOUS MESSAGE BOARDS AND COMPLAINTS ON THE NHTSA SITE DO INDICATE THAT THIS HAPPENS FREQUENTLY. IF THIS IS REGULAR OCCURRENCE, WHY ISN'T THIS COVERED UNDER A RECALL? *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 HONDA ODYSSEY. THE CONTACT STATED THE REAR LIFTGATE STRUTS FAILED AND THE DOOR CLOSED ABRUPTLY WHEN BEING ACCESSED. THE LIFTGATE WAS MANUALLY OPERATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE CONTACT WAS AWAITING REPAIRS. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 10V0550 (STRUCTURE). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND THEY INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL CAMPAIGN. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 91,000.
BOTH LATCHES ON SLIDING DOORS HAVE BEEN REPLACED TWICE NOW, WHILE DRIVING THE DOORS COME UNLATCHED ALTHOUGH THEY DO NOT OPEN THEY ARE UNLATCHED AND THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN. *TR

THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD THAT THE STRUTS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT SPOKE WITH THE MANUFACTURER ABOUT THE FAILURE DUE TO A RECALL ON THE 2008-09 MODELS BUT THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT IT DID NOT PERTAIN TO THE 2005 MODEL YEAR. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 145,000. *TR
THE AIRBAG DASH LIGHT CAME ON AND STAYED ON. I TOOK MY MINIVAN TO THE HONDA ANNAPOLIS DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT WHERE THEY RAN DIAGNOSTICS. THEY TOLD ME NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH MY AIRBAGS. THEY DID FIND, HOWEVER, THAT THE DRIVER'S SEATBELT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED, SO THEY DID SO FREE OF CHARGE. THEY WEREN'T ABLE TO TELL ME WHY THE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON, AND TOLD ME TO BE GRATEFUL, AS IF THERE WAS SOMETHING WRONG WITH AIRBAGS, IT WOULD HAVE COST ME A LOT OF MONEY TO HAVE THEM REPLACED. *TR
THE AIR BAG LIGHT STAYS ON FREQUENTLY, BUT NOT ALL THE TIME. I NOTICED HONDA ODYSSEY 2003 AND 2004 MODEL ARE CURRENTLY UNDER INVESTIGATION FOR AIR BAG PROBLEMS INCLUDING AIR BAG WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATING. MY ODYSSEY IS 2005 MODEL AND IS HAVING THE SIMILAR LIGHTING PROBLEM. CAN THE AGENCY ALSO INVESTIGATE THE YEAR 2005 MODEL PLEASE? I AM VERY CONCERNED THE POTENTIAL PROBLEMS IT MAY LEAD TO. THERE HAS BEEN NO ACCIDENTS WITH MY MINIVAN. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS WHERE IT WAS STATED THAT THE VTN SPRING NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED AND THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000. *TR

THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND THE FUEL PUMP WAS REPLACED HOWEVER, THE REPAIR DID NOT COMPLETELY CORRECT THE PROBLEM AND THE DEALER HAD TO REPLACE THE FUEL PUMP RELAY. THE CONTACT THEN LOCATED NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER:07V097000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE), BUT THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL CAMPAIGN. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 95,000.

AFTER GOING OVER A HILL, THE ENGINE LOST POWER. PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL DID NOT DO ANYTHING. AFTER PULLING OVER, AND WAITING 10 MINS. THE CAR WORKED NORMALLY. THE SAME INCIDENT HAPPENED 2 WEEKS EARLIER AFTER GOING OVER A HILL. THE SYMPTOMS MATCHES WHAT IS STATED IN COMPLAINT ID 05V132000. *TR
CAR JERKS VIOLENTLY WHEN SHIFTING FROM ONE GEAR TO ANOTHER. ON DECEMBER 27, CAR STOPPED SHIFTING AND STALLED ON THE FREEWAY AT NIGHT WITH MY FAMILY IN IT. IT STOPPED CHANGING GEAR WHILE I WAS GOING UP HILL AND HAD TO BE TOWED. LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO GUIDE IT OUT OF THE FREEWAY TRAFFIC. CAR WAS USUALLY SERVICED AT A HONDA DEALERSHIP. *TR
2005 HONDA WITH 72K MI NOW EXHIBITING THE CLASSIC "SHUDDERING" ISSUE...I.E. BETWEEN 30-35 AND 40-45MPH IN ECO MODE. THE CAR LITERALLY SHAKES DURING ACCELERATION UNTIL 50MPH. WE ALSO EXPERIENCE HUMMING FROM THE TRANSMISSION. IT LOOKS LIKE SEVERAL COMPLAINTS REGARDING THE SAME ISSUE HAVE BEEN POSTED ON THE LINK BELOW HTTP://WWW.ODYSSEYTRANSMISSION.COM//PROBLEMCASES?MSGID=510. HONDA'S RESPONSE IS QUITE DISAPPOINTING ACKNOWLEDGING LACK OF OWNERSHIP CONCERNING THEIR PRODUCT; LEAVING THE CONSUMER HOLDING THE BAG. I FEEL LIKE WE'VE BEEN SOLD A BILL OF GOODS. WE THE CONSUMERS WOULD GRACIOUSLY APPRECIATE AN ADVOCATE WHO WILL HOLD GROSSLY LUCRATIVE COMPANIES LIKE HONDA ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR PRODUCT AND ACT IN GOOD FAITH ON BEHALF OF THE CONSUMER. YOUR IMMEDIATE ATTENTION IS MOST APPRECIATED.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 HONDA ODYSSEY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING THE STEERING FAILED. THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME HARD TO TURN. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE HOME. THE CONTACT INSPECTED VEHICLE AND STATED THAT THE TENSIONER BELT BOLT FAILED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TENSIONER BELT BOLT WAS PREVIOUSLY REPLACED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE WAS NOT CORRECTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 224,000.
I HAVE VERY LOW MILEAGE AND THE TRANSMISSION SEEMS TO BE GOING OUT. ALSO THE REAR MAIN SEAL HAS BLOWN. THE MECHANIC SAYS BECAUSE OF THE TRANSMISSION IT AFFECT THE REAR SEAL. I KNOW HONDA HAS HAD SEVERAL ISSUES WITH ITS TRANSMISSIONS AND THEY HAVE HELPED SOME PEOPLE AND NOT OTHERS. I FILED A CLAIM AND WAS DENIED YET IT SEEMS THERE ARE ISSUES THAT ARE THE SAME AS OTHERS THAT HAVE BEEN HELPED. *TR
POWER SLIDING DOOR ON 05' HONDA ODYSSEY FELL OFF WHEN UNLOADING MY CHILDREN FROM THE VEHICLE. THE MIDDLE BRACKET/STRUT THAT HOLDS THE SLIDING DOOR ON THE CENTER RAIL ALONG THE SIDE OF THE VAN TOTALLY FAILED. I WAS AT THE BUS STOP WITH MY CHILDREN AND THE DOOR FELL OFF AS I OPENED THE DOOR TO HELP MY CHILD OUT. I WAS MORTIFIED AS YOU MIGHT IMAGINE. PREVIOUSLY, THE DOOR WOULD CLICK WHEN WE CLOSED IT AND THE AUTOMATIC DOOR WOULD BEEP AND FAIL TO CLOSE. WE HAD THE DOOR CHECKED DURING A ROUTINE SERVICE APPOINTMENT 2-3 YEARS AGO. THE DEALER SAID IT WAS A SENSOR OR POSSIBLY A MOTOR ISSUE. NO ONE SAID ANYTHING ABOUT THE DOOR POSSIBLY FALLING OFF - NOR DID THEY MENTION ANY POTENTIAL BRACKET FAILURE. I WOULD HAVE HAD THAT BRACKET FIXED HAD THEY EVEN HINTED THAT THIS COULD HAPPEN. BUT WHAT'S ALSO VERY DISTURBING IS THAT A FRIEND WITH AN '07 IS HAVING SIGNIFICANT PROBLEMS WITH HER DOORS AS WELL. AFTER MY INCIDENT, SHE IMMEDIATELY WENT AND HAD HER DOOR BRACKETS CHECKED AND FOUND HERS WERE ALSO IMMINENTLY CLOSE TO COMPLETE FAILURE. THEY WERE REPLACED. SHE HAS SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN AND A DOOR FAILURE FOR HER COULD BE CATASTROPHIC. THE DAY OF THIS EVENT I CALLED TWO AREA DEALERS. BOTH SERVICE COUNTER REPS ACKNOWLEDGED THIS BRACKET ISSUE. TOOK VEHICLE BACK TO SAME SHOP, ALIGNMENT AND BALANCING RE-DONE; HOWEVER, PROBLEM PERSISTED. TOOK VEHICLE TO DIFFERENT SHOP--PURCHASED 4 NEW TIRES, AND HAD ALIGNMENT AND BALANCING PERFORMED ONCE AGAIN; HOWEVER, PROBLEM PERSISTED. HAD TIRES REPLACED AND ALIGNMENT AND BALANCING PERFORMED YET AGAIN; HOWEVER, PROBLEM PERSISTS. ADVISED BY SHOP MANAGER THAT HE IS 95% SURE BASED ON DRIVING TEST THAT MOTOR MOUNTS ARE IN NEED OF REPLACEMENT. TODAY I TOOK MY CAR INTO THE HONDA DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT. I WAS TOLD THAT MY FRONT AND SIDE ENGINE MOUNTS WERE BROKEN. I WAS STUNNED BECAUSE MY MINIVAN IS ONLY 8 YEARS OLD BOUGHT BRAND NEW. I ONLY DRIVE THE VAN UNDER NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS TO AND FROM SCHOOL ACTIVITIES FOR MY KIDS. IT SEEMS TO ME A SUBSTANTIAL CAR PART SUCH AS THE ENGINE MOUNTS SHOULD NOT BE BREAKING AT 87,000 MILES. SUBSEQUENTLY, I HAVE TALKED TO A FEW FRIENDS THAT HAVE HAD A SIMILAR PROBLEM WITH THEIR ODYSSEY AND I SEARCHED THIS PROBLEM ONLINE AND DISCOVERED A LARGE NUMBER OF CAR FORUMS NOTING THEY HAD SIMILAR ENGINE MOUNT PROBLEMS WITH THEIR HONDA ODYSSEYS THAT WERE UNDER 100,000 MILES. IT SEEMS TO ME THERE MUST BE SOME SORT OF DEFECT OR POOR QUALITY CONTROL OF THESE ENGINE MOUNTS. I AM FORMALLY REGISTERING A COMPLAINT OVER THE QUALITY OF THE ENGINE MOUNTS. THANK YOU. *TR
