TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA ODYSSEY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SLIDING DOORS WOULD NOT OPEN YET THE DOORS WERE UNLOCKED. THE WARNING LIGHT WOULD CHIME WHILE DRIVING. THE VEHICLE WAS NEVER TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION ON REPAIRS. THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 110,000.
HONDA ODYSSEY-07- HAS A BRAKE PROBLEM. VEHICLE'S BRAKE PEDAL FEELS WEAK AND PEDAL GOES TO THE FLOOR. DEALER REPLACED THE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER,BUT THAT PROBLEM HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED YET. ODYSSEY HAS ONLY 1,400 MILES. *TR
2007 HONDA ODYSSEY LX PURCHASED DEC 6, 2007. APPROXIMATELY 45% OF THE TIME ACCORDING TO MY LOGS THE VEHICLE DOES NOT CRANK ON THE FIRST ATTEMPT. SAFETY ISSUE CONCERN THE POTENTIAL TO REQUIRING THE STARTING OF THE VEHICLE TO LEAVE A DANGEROUS LOCATION, OR POTENTIAL LIFE THREATENING ENVIRONMENT. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA ODYSSEY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE WHEEL MADE A LOUD NOISE WHEN THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS, TURNING OR PARKING. THE DEALER INSPECTED THE VEHICLE SEVERAL TIMES AND ADVISED THAT THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE WHEEL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 25 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 75,000.
OCCASIONAL BRAKE PROBLEM. SPONGY BRAKING AND DIFFICULT TO STOP EFFECTIVELY. MOSTLY HAPPENED IN FIRST 15 MINS DRIVING. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA ODYSSEY. THE VEHICLE HAS MICHELIN PAX SYSTEM RUN FLAT TECHNOLOGY, SIZE 235/710R460A TIRES (NA). WHILE DRIVING 5 MPH, THE VEHICLE SLID. THE CONTACT COULD NOT PULL INTO HIS DRIVEWAY DUE TO AN INCH OF SNOW. HE FEELS THAT THE TIRES WERE NOT MADE FOR THE SNOW BECAUSE THERE WAS NO TRACTION. THE DOT NUMBER WAS UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 5,000.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA ODYSSEY. WHILE DRIVING 5 MPH, A VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE PASSENGER FRONT SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE HOME. A TEN YEAR OLD WAS SITTING IN THE REAR SEAT WEARING A SEAT BELT AND SUSTAINED NECK AND BACK PAINS. THE DEALER REPLACED THE FRONT BUMPER. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 34,000. UPDATED 03/14/08. *LJ THE CONSUMER STATED THIS WAS THE SECOND TIME THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY.
I BOUGHT MY ODYSSEY 2007 IN NOV. 2007, AND IT HAS ALWAYS HAD A VERY SOFT PEDAL, MEANING, YOU HAVE TO PUSH THE PEDAL FAR DOWN BEFORE YOU EVEN BEGIN TO STOP. WHEN I HAVE TO STOP SUDDENLY, I HAVE TO PUSH IT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. I LIVE IN A SMALL TOWN SO I JUST DON'T DRIVE CLOSE TO ANYONE AND STAY AWAY FROM CITY DRIVING BECAUSE I DO NOT TRUST MY BRAKES TO STOP SHORT. IT OCCURS EVERY TIME I HAVE TO STOP SUDDENLY. IF I KNOW THE STOP LIGHT IS GOING TO TURN, I SLOW DOWN BY APPLYING THE BRAKE FOR A LONG TIME BEFORE IT WILL MAKE A COMPLETE STOP. I WILL NEVER BUY AN ODYSSEY AGAIN AND IF THEY WOULD DO A RECALL, I WOULD CERTAINLY BRING IT IN TO GET IT FIXED. APPARENTLY, HONDA DOES NOT THINK THEY HAVE A PROBLEM BUT IT IS A WELL KNOWN FACT AMONGST ODYSSEY OWNERS! *TR
BRAKE PEDAL GOES HALFWAY TO FLOOR BEFORE IT STARTS SLOWING DOWN. SERVICE MANAGER AT RED RIVER HONDA IN DENISON,TX SAID THAT THE ABS MODULE WAS BYPASSING. THEY REPLACED IT TWICE WITH NO IMPROVEMENT. I WAS THEN TOLD BY THE SERVICE MANAGER THAT HONDAS SEEMED TO HAVE WEAK BRAKES. *TR
AC CONDENSER FAILED ON MY 2006 HONDA ODYSSEY AT 19075 MILES. SERVICE CLAIMS ROAD DAMAGE AND CHARGED OVER $600 TO REPAIR NOT COVERED BY MY EXTENDED WARRANTY. THIS IS A CONTINUING PROBLEM WITH HONDA AND SHOULD BE COVERED BY WARRANTY. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA ODYSSEY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS LUNGING FORWARD AND HESITATED WHEN SHE SHIFTED GEARS WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 TO 55 MPH. SHE NOTICED A LOW PITCH NOISE AND THE STEERING WHEEL VIBRATED ALONG WITH THE DELAY IN SHIFTING GEARS. THE FAILURE HAS OCCURRED REPEATEDLY SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED IN OCTOBER 2007. SHE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER WHO STATED THAT HER HARMONICS WAS THE EXPLANATION FOR THE NOISE BUT DID NOT INSPECT THE VEHICLE. SHE HAD NOT SPOKEN WITH THE MANUFACTURER TO-DATE. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED AT THE TIME OF THE COMPLAINT. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 15,000. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 200.
THE VSA LIGHT COMES ON. THEY REPLACED EVERYTHING AND NOW ARE GOING TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE WIRING HARNESS. THIS OCCURRED ONE DAY AFTER DRIVING THE VEHICLE OF THE LOT. I WOULD HAVE HAPPILY EXCHANGED IT FOR ANOTHER ODYSSEY BUT HONDA WANTS TO STICK ME WITH THIS LEMON INSTEAD OF DOING WHAT IS RIGHT. I AM NOW DISAPPOINTED IN THE WAY THIS HAS BEEN HANDLED AND I WILL LOOK TOWARD OTHER MANUFACTURERS IN THE FUTURE. *TR
I HAVE A 2007 HONDA ODYSSEY. MILEAGE IS LESS THAN 10,000 MILES. AIR CONDITIONING WAS BLOWING HOT AIR. TOOK IT TO THE HONDA DEALERSHIP IN ROANOKE, VIRGINIA, AND WAS TOLD THAT IT LOOKS LIKE A ROCK HAD FLOWN INTO THE AIR CONDITIONING CONDENSER AND PUNCTURED IT. THEY WOULD NOT COVER IT UNDER WARRANTY AND SAID THAT I COULD MAKE A CLAIM UNDER MY AUTO INSURANCE POLICY. THEIR CHARGE TO REPAIR/REPLACE IS $700. *JB
WHILE PARKING AT DAYCARE, TURN INTO PARKING SPOT, BRAKES FAIL. BRAKES ARE PUMPED TO THE FLOOR 5 TIMES BEFORE HITTING A LARGE BOULDER CAUSING MAJOR DAMAGE TO SUSPENSION AND FRAME. ALSO, AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY, YET SEATBELT LOCKED IN PLACE. DEALER IS DOING REPAIR SINCE THERE IS POTENTIAL SAFETY ISSUE WITH THE BRAKES. HOWEVER AFTER 55 DAYS, STILL WAITING FOR RETURN OF VEHICLE. TURNS OUT COMPUTER REGULATING AIRBAGS FAILED AS WELL. 2 DEFECTS THAT IF THE BRAKES HAD FAILED JUST 3 MINUTES SOONER WOULD NO DOUBT HAVE BEEN A FATAL ACCIDENT ON AN INTERSTATE HIGHWAY. *TR

WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH ON NORMAL ROAD CONDITIONS THE DRIVER APPLIED PRESSURE TO THE BRAKE PEDAL CONTINUOUSLY BEFORE THE VEHICLE CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WHENEVER THE VEHICLE WAS IN OPERATION. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED FOR THE MALFUNCTION. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,000.
MECHANICAL SLIDING SIDE DOORS 1) WHEN PARKED ON A HILL, FRNT END DWNHILL THE SLIDING DOOR OPENS ALL OF THE WAY THEN SLAMS FORWARD FRM 4 TO 6 INCHES BACK TOWARD THE FRNT JAM, THE FORCE WILL KNOCK A CHILD DOWN 2) THE DOOR DOES NOT HAVE A SENSOR ( LIKE AN ELEVATOR) THAT SOMETHING OR SOMEONE MIGHT BE N ITS PATH WHEN CLOSING & IT WILL CLOSE ON ANYTHING OR ANYONE IN ITS PATH WHEN CLOSING. MY CHILD GOT HER ARM CRUSHED BTWN THE DOOR & THE JAM WHEN THE DOOR CLOSED ON HER. I HAD OPENED THE DOOR W/ THE REMOTE, I REACHED N & THE DOOR BEGAN TO CLOSE B4 I COULD BACK OUT & CRUSHED ME BETWN THE DOOR & THE JAM, EVEN AFTER MAKING CONTACT W/ MY BODY IT CONTINUED TO CRUSH ME, THE ONLY WAY N BOTH INSTANCES TO STOP THE DOOR FRM CRUSHING MY 4YR OLD'S ARM FRM HER BODY & IT DOING I HAVE NO IDEA THE EXTENT OF WHAT IT WOULD HAVE DONE TO ME, WAS TO GET 2 THE MANUAL HANDLE NSIDE THE DOOR. THE REMOTE WILL NOT STOP IT & THE DASHBOARD BUTTON WILL NOT STOP IT. THE RE OTE DOES NOT HAVE AN OPEN & SHUT BUTTON FOR THE DOOR. REMOTE BUTTONS ARE A MINOR POINT, THE DOORS NEED SENSORS. THE CHALLENGES W/ THE DOORS NOT HAVING SENSORS TO STOP THEM & 1BUTTON OPEN/CLOSE ON THE REMOTE R ISSUES WE DEAL W/ ON A FREQUENT BASIS. MY DAUGHTER & I R NOT THE ONLY ONES WHO HAVE BEEN CRUSHED N THE DOORS. WE HAVE HAD OTHER CHILDREN EVEN OUR 65 YR OLD GRANDMOTHER HAS BEEN CRUSHED N THEM. *TR

SOFT, SPONGY BRAKE PEDAL. DEALER REPLACED MASTER CYLINDER, BLED BRAKES TWICE ON ADVISE OF TECH LINE WITHOUT NOTICEABLE IMPROVEMENT. BRAKE PEDAL CAN BE DEPRESSED BELOW HEIGHT OF ACCELERATOR PEDAL, HAVE TWICE CAUGHT THE EDGE OF MY FOOT ON ACCELERATOR PEDAL WHEN BRAKING CAUSING UNINTENDED ACCELERATION. HAVE CASE OPEN WITH HONDA OFFICE IN TORRANCE, CA...THEY CANNOT TELL ME IF OR WHEN THERE WILL BE A FIX. DO NOT HAVE CONFIDENCE IN THESE BRAKES. *TR
1. NORMAL DRIVING AROUND TOWN AND FREEWAY. 2. ENGINE PINGING, EVERY TIME VEHICLE IS DRIVEN. LONG TERM EFFECT (ENGINE DAMAGE). 3. HONDA HAS TRIED TO FIX THIS ISSUE 5 TIMES WITH NO RESOLVE. TECH LINE STATES THEY ARE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM BUT NO KNOWN RESOLUTION AT THIS TIME. THE MOST RECENT LETTER FROM HONDA WAS NOTHING IS WRONG EVEN THOUGH THE DEALER STATES THE PINGING IS NOT NORMAL. *TR
WE PURCHASED BRAND NEW ODYSSEY JULY'07. FROM DATE OF PURCHASE WE NOTICED THE BRAKES PERFORMED BELOW PAR. THE BRAKES REQUIRED MUCH FORCE BE APPLIED AS WELL AS A LONGER STOPPING DISTANCE BE ACCOMMODATED. AT FIRST THE DEALER COMMENTED THAT OUR VEHICLE DID NOT HAVE A PROBLEM, HOWEVER, A TEST DRIVE SHOWED THAT IF ONE DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL WHILE THE CAR IS AT REST IT GAVE WAY UNTIL IT EVENTUALLY MADE CONTACT WITH THE FLOOR. AFTER THIS THE DEALER INSISTED THAT I LEAVE WITH A RENTAL WHILE THEY LOOKED AT THE PROBLEM, SEPT '07. THEY KEPT THE VEHICLE FOR TWO DAYS. UPON RETURNING THE VEHICLE THEIR COMMENTS WERE "WE HAVE IMPROVED THE MASTER CYLINDER, HOWEVER, THIS IS TEMPORARY AND I SHOULD ALLOW FOR A FURTHER INSPECTION AT MY NEXT OIL CHANGE". THE VEHICLE IS STILL NOT RIGHT. WHEN DRIVING THE VEHICLE IN HEAVY TRAFFIC AND BAD WEATHER IT DOES NOT INSPIRE CONFIDENCE, ONE FEELS AS THOUGH ONE IS DRIVING A LEMON. NOW THERE IS AN ADDITIONAL FAULT. THE COMPUTER FLASHES A WARNING (ERRATIC) "CHECK PETROL CAP"... THIS WARNING APPEARING AFTER HAVING COVERED 320MLS WITH STILL AMPLE FUEL IN THE TANK. NO APPARENT LOGIC CAN BE ATTACHED TO THE REASON OF THE WARNING. THE WARNING DISAPPEARS AFTER THE ENGINE IS TURNED OFF, THE PETROL CAP IS OPENED AND THEN CLOSED AGAIN AND, THE ENGINE RESTARTED. *TR
I HAVE 2007 ODYSSEY EX-L WITH DVD. THE LIGHT IN CAR LIKE HEAD AND TAIL LIGHT, ROOM LIGHT ETC IS BLINKING ALL THE TIME EVEN I DRIVE MY CAR. I ALREADY WENT TO DEALER SHIP TWO TIMES, THEY JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE BATTERY DURING THE DAY TIME AND SAID EVERYTHING LOOKS FINE. AT NIGHT, MY BOY CAN'T READ A BOOK IN THE CAR BECAUSE OF BLINKING. IT LOOKS THE GENERATOR HAS PROBLEM. *TR
WE CURRENTLY HAVE AROUND 7,000 MILES ON A 2007 AND THERE HAS BEEN AN ONGOING ISSUE WITH THE ODYSSEY'S BRAKING SYSTEM. THE BRAKES HAVE A VERY SOFT FEEL AND NEED TO BE DEPRESSED AT LEAST 3/4 OF THE WAY FOR THE BRAKES TO FEEL LIKE THEY ARE BITING. THE BRAKES HAVE ALWAYS HAD A RELATIVELY SOFT FEELING TO THEM AND IT HAS CAUSED SOME DICEY SITUATIONS WHERE YOU NEED TO ATTEMPT TO SWERVE AROUND ANOTHER VEHICLE SINCE THERE IS A DEFINITE LACK OF CONFIDENCE WHEN YOU NEED TO INDUCE A PANIC STOP. OCCASIONALLY THE BRAKES WILL HAVE A LITTLE CHATTER TO THEM WHICH YOU CAN FEEL IN THE BRAKE PEDAL. WE HAVEN'T PEGGED THIS DIRECTLY TO THE LOAD OF THE VEHICLE OR HOT BRAKES/BRAKE PADS, BUT WE ARE CURRENTLY IN THE PROCESS OF GETTING THIS ISSUE LOOKED INTO WITH OUR DEALER. *JB
SOFT BRAKE WITH 2007 HONDA ODYSSEY. COULDN'T STOP THE CAR WITHOUT SLAMMING THE BRAKE. TOOK BACK TO DEALER WHERE THE CAR WAS PURCHASED AND WAS TOLD THE BRAKE IS FINE. TOOK IT TO ANOTHER DEALER AND THEY BLED THE BRAKE BUT NO IMPROVEMENT. HONDA NEEDS TO RECALL OR REFUND UNDER LEMON LAW. *TR
SOFT BRAKES. I HAVE HAD TO DEALER THREE TIMES. #1. REPLACED BRAKE CYLINDER BRAKES WERE STILL SOFT. #2 REPLACED ANTI LOCK BRAKE SENSOR. STILL SOFT. #3 TOLD THAT HONDA KNEW OF THIS AND I WAS ON A LIST SO WHEN THEY KNEW WHAT WAS WRONG I WOULD BE CONTACTED. BRAKES ARE STILL SOFT. WHEN YOU STEP ON FOOT BRAKE CAR WILL STOP OK, BUT PEDAL WILL GO ALMOST TO THE FLOOR BOARD. DON'T KNOW WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF HAD TO PANIC STOP. *TR
THE CAR WILL NOT STOP UNLESS THE DRIVER EXERT A LOT OF PRESSURE ON THE BRAKE PEDAL. THE CAR WAS BROUGHT INTO THE DEALERSHIP ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. THE DEALERSHIP CHANGED THE MASTER CYLINDER AND STATED THAT IS THE CHARACTERISTIC OF THE CAR FOR THE REMAINING VISITS. HONDA POSTED A FIX ON JANUARY 14, 2009 ON SERVICE BULLETIN 07-045. THE FIX SHOULD BE A RECALL BECAUSE IT REDUCES THE STOPPING DISTANCE OF THE VEHICLE. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA ODYSSEY. THE CONTACT STATED THERE WERE NO SENSORS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE SLIDING DOOR. AS A RESULT, A PASSENGER'S FINGERS WERE SMASHED BY THE DOOR. THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 2,500 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,400. UPDATED 12/12/07
I RECENTLY PURCHASED A 2007 HONDA ODYSSEY MINIVAN AND HAVE NOTICED SINCE ITS PURCHASE THAT THE BRAKING SYSTEM IS VERY SOFT. HARD PRESSURE IS REQUIRED TO STOP THE VEHICLE WITH MUCH LONGER THAN EXPECTED BRAKING DISTANCES. I AM PLANNING ON SPEAKING WITH HONDA TO HELP WITH THIS SITUATION. I HOPE THAT THERE WILL BE A RESOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM. *JB
2007 HONDA ODYSSEY AIR CONDITIONING STOPPED WORKING. RESULT WAS A DAMAGED CONDENSER DUE TO "ROAD DEBRIS". WARRANTY COVERAGE WAS NOT PROVIDED BY HONDA. CONDENSER PROXIMITY TO ROAD SURFACE MAKES IT PRONE TO DAMAGE AND SHOULD BE CONSIDERED A DESIGN DEFECT. INTERNET SEARCHES REVEALED NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ISSUE. *JB
WE OWN A NEW 5 MONTHS 2007 HONDA ODYSSEY, AND THE BRAKES ARE VERY MUSH. WE HAVE USE LOTS OF FORCE ON THE FOOT TO GET THIS CAR STOP. I THINK THERE IS A DEFECT. I TOOK IT TO HONDA DEALER IN SAN MARCOS, TEXAS. THEY SAID THERE NO SUCH PROBLEMS WITH THE BRAKE SYSTEM. MY WIFE AFRAID TO DRIVE THIS CAR BECAUSE MIGHT REAR END SOME ONE. 2006 ODYSSEY WITH 32K MILES. STARTING AT OR AROUND 28K NOTICED A CHIRPING OR RATTLING NOISE COMING FROM ENGINE. SOUNDS LIKE VALVES RATTLING FROM GOING UP HILL W/LOW OCTANE GAS. TOOK TO DEALER AT 30K THEY COULD NOT HEARD NOISE. NOW NOISE OCCURS AT ALL TIMES FROM IDLE TO NO A/C ON TO A/C OFF TO APPLYING A SLIGHT AMOUNT OF GAS PEDAL. *TR
I OWN A 2006 HONDA ODYSSEY (PURCHASED JULY 2006). LAST WEEKEND, I NOTICED BLUE FLUID (COOLANT) ON THE GRILL ACCOMPANIED BY A BURNT SMELL AND THE COOLANT FLUID WAS BELOW THE MINIMUM LEVEL. JUST TWO WEEKS PRIOR, THIS CAR WAS TAKEN IN TO THE DEALERS FOR THE 1 YEAR MINOR TUNE-UP. THE DEALERS REPORTED THAT A ROCK HAS PUNCTURED THE RADIATOR, SO THAT IS WHERE THE LEAK WAS COMING FROM. I WAS TOLD THAT THIS CASE IS NOT COVERED BY THE WARRANTY BECAUSE IT IS NOT FROM THE NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR. I FIND IT UNFAIR THAT DUE TO THE POOR DESIGN OF THE GRILL THAT I HAVE TO PAY A $500 DEDUCTIBLE TO GET THIS FIXED. *TR
ABOUT 3 MONTHS AFTER I PURCHASED THE BRAND NEW, 2007, HONDA ODYSSEY I NOTICED A RELUCTANT FEELING WHEN I DROVE IT. EVEN WHEN I DROVE IT AROUND TOWN FOR EVERYDAY ERRANDS OR IF NEEDED TO TAKE LONG TRIPS I STILL FELT LIKE MY CAR WAS FIGHTING ME. EACH TIME I BROUGHT MY CAR IN I WOULD ASK THEM TO LOOK THE CAR OVER FOR A PROBLEM THAT WOULD CONVEY WHY I WAS HAVING THIS BUCKING FEELING. MY FIRST DOCUMENTED COMPLAINT WAS IN APRIL OF 2008. THEY STATED THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING. MY SECOND COMPLAINT WAS OCTOBER OF 2008 STATING THE VEHICLE HESITATES. EVERYTIME I TOOK IT IN TO DCH KAY HONDA IN OLD BRIDGE WHERE WE PURCHASED THE CAR THEY FOUND NOTHING. IT WAS NOT UNTIL MY BROTHER DROVE IN MY CAR IN THE WINTER OF 2009, WHEN HE SAID THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH MY TRANSMISSION THAT I SHOULD TAKE IT TO A TRANSMISSION DEALER AND GET IT CHECKED. I KNEW THAT IF AN INDEPENDENT TRANSMISSION DEALER LOOKED AT IT OR TOOK IT APART MY WARRANTY WOULD BE VOID SO I FOUND ONE WHO TOOK IT FOR A ROAD TEST AND STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION IS SLIPPING DOWN TO 4TH AND SOME HOW JUMPING INTO 5TH AUTOMATICALLY. AFTER THIS I TOOK IT TO DCH KAY HONDA IN EATONTOWN AND STATED WHAT WAS FOUND OUT IN FEB. OF 2009. THEY SAID AGAIN THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING. I STILL HAVE A RELUCTANT FEELING WHEN I AM DRIVING THE CAR BUT FEEL AS THOUGH MY TIME IS BEING WASTED BY RUNNING BACK AND FORTH TO THESE DEALERS. I WOULD LIKE TO FILE A COMPLAINT REGARDING THE 2007 MODEL YEAR FOR THE HONDA ODYSSEY. THE CAR CURRENTLY PULLS TO THE RIGHT WHILE DRIVING ON FLAT GROUND. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THE HONDA ODYSSEY. THE PUMP HAD BEEN REPLACED 1 MONTH INTO OWNING THE VAN. THEN IT WAS REPLACED UNDER RECALL BECAUSE OF THE SAME ISSUE AND NOT IT IS DOING IT AGAIN. >100K MILES BUT IT HAD BEEN REPORTED MULTIPLE TIME AND THE ISSUE COULD NOT BE REPRODUCED. IT IS A TIME ISSUE. THE MORE YOU DRIVE IT THE WORSE IT GETS. THERE IS A NOISE AND THE STEERING IS HARD. AT LOW SPEED YOU CAN NOT TURN(PARKING LOTS) OR IT IS VERY HARD TO TURN. 2007 HONDA ODYSSEY EX-L: PURCHASED NEW FROM DEALER, HAD PROBLEM WITH PULLING TO THE LEFT FROM THE FIRST DAYS WE OWNED IT. WE RETURNED TO THE DEALER WHO INSISTED IT WAS NORMAL AND GAVE VARIOUS REASONS (TORQUE, ROAD CROWN, NOTHING AT ALL). HAVE HAD NEW TIRES, INCLUDING REPLACING ONE THAT BALD BADLY ON THE OUTSIDE BY 20,000 MILES. HAVE HAD MULTIPLE ALIGNMENTS. HONDA INSISTS NO ISSUE, ALL WITHIN NORMAL LIMITS. CAR ALWAYS PULLS TO THE LEFT UNLESS WE'RE DRIVING ON A HEAVILY CROWNED ROAD IN THE RIGHT LANE. CAUSES DRIVER FATIGUE AND HAS SOMETIMES BEEN A SAFETY ISSUE. THIS IS A PROBLEM THAT IS DISCUSSED OVER AND OVER ON VARIOUS WEBSITES, INCLUDING LOTS OF DO-IT-YOURSELFERS WHO HAVE HAD GOOD SUCCESS WITH A VERY SIMPLE REALIGNMENT OF STRUT BEARINGS. I CAN'T BELIEVE A REPUTABLE COMPANY SUCH AS HONDA COULD ALLOW THIS SAFETY ISSUE TO CONTINUE UNADDRESSED. MY SIX-YEAR-OLD SON WAS REACHING FOR HIS SEAT BELT AT THE SAME TIME THE DOOR WAS BEING CLOSED BY THE DRIVER. THE CAR WAS PARKED. MY SON'S FINGERS WERE CAUGHT IN THE BACK OF THE SLIDING DOOR. EVEN MORE UPSETTING WAS THAT ONCE THE DOOR WAS CLOSE, IT COULD NOT BE OPENED AGAIN FOR 30-45 SECONDS, WITH MY SCREAMING SIX-YEAR-OLD'S FINGERS STILL CLOSED INSIDE. WITHIN A COUPLE OF WEEKS AFTER PURCHASING A BRAND NEW 2007 HONDA ODYSSEY, THE AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND STAYED ILLUMINATED (OCCASIONALLY TURNING OFF). WE BROUGHT THE CAR IN TO A DEALERSHIP FOR SERVICE ON 7/16/07 BUT A FEW DAYS OF USING THE CAR (WE ONLY USE IT ONCE A WEEK, SOMETIMES LESS) THE WARNING LIGHT TURNED ON AGAIN. ALSO, NOW THE "PASSENGER AIRBAG OFF" LIGHT NOW OCCASIONALLY TURNS ON, EVEN WHEN THERE'S AN ADULT IN THE PASSENGER SEAT (THIS LIGHT IS SUPPOSED TO ILLUMINATE ONLY WHEN THERE'S A CHILD-SIZE OBJECT OR PASSENGER). REAR LIFTGATE STRUTS ON 2007 HONDA ODYSSEY EXPERIENCED SUDDEN FAILURE CAUSING THE REAR LIFTGATE TO SUDDENLY CLOSE ON PERSON STANDING BENEATH. LIFTGATE WAS FUNCTIONING PROPERLY, LIFTED AND CLOSED NO ISSUES. SUNDAY 06/12 OPENED THE LIFTGATE AND PROCEEDED UNDERNEATH AS THE LIFTGATE CAME CRASHING DOWN. THE TECHNICIAN ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD NEED AN ALIGNMENT AND THAT THE ROTORS SHOULD ALSO BE REPLACED AS A TEMPORARY FIX. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE BUT DID NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE AND THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. WHEN ATTEMPTING TO STOP THE VEHICLE, IT SKIPS FROM FIRST TO THIRD GEAR, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO LUNGE FORWARD. AS A RESULT, THE STOPPING DISTANCE IS INCREASED. SHE TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY REPLACED THE BRAKE ROTOR, WHICH DID NOT REMEDY THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,500.
WHEN STOPPING ON AN INCLINE WITH THE FOOT ON THE BRAKE AND THE VEHICLE IN DRIVE, IF THE FOOT WAS TAKEN OFF THE BRAKE, THE VEHICLE ROLLED BACKWARDS. THE VEHICLE HAS AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. *AK
