SLIDING DOORS WON'T LOCK THE SLIDING DOOR WILL JUST POP OPEN AGAIN. HAVE CHILD LOCK ENGAGED AND DOOR LOCKED FROM INSIDE. I HAVE FOUND ABOUT 40 CARS WITH THIS PROBLEM IN JUST COLUMBUS OHIO ALONE THAT ARE 2007. THE COST TO REPAIR IS 500$ WHICH IS FAILING MOST OF THE YOUTUBE VIDEOS ARE SHOWING.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 111,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO HONDA WORLD DOWNEY (10645 STUDEBAKER RD, DOWNEY, CA 90241, (562) 929-7000) WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V112000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). THE CONTACT INFORMED THE DEALER THAT HE NEVER RECEIVED A RECALL NOTIFICATION AND THE VEHICLE WAS NEVER REPAIRED BECAUSE HE WAS THE ORIGINAL OWNER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 136,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO PRIORITY HONDA ROANOKE (3311 PETERS CREEK RD, ROANOKE, VA 24019, (540) 366-0888) FOR A SERVICE INSPECTION REGARDING THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THE VEHICLE AND FOUND THAT THE FRONT AND DRIVER'S SIDE MOTOR MOUNTS WERE FRACTURED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED A CASE NUMBER. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,124. *TR*JB
POWER STEERING FAILING, DISPLAY SCREEN FAILING
THE SLIDING DOOR STRUGGLED TO CLOSE IN A PARKING LOT, CONTINUALLY STOPPING MID SLIDE AND OPENING UP AGAIN. AFTER TRYING TO CLOSE IT A FEW TIMES, THE WHEEL ON THE TOP OF THE DOOR FELL OFF THE TRACK, LEAVING THE DOOR HANGING ONLY BY THE GUIDE WIRE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DOOR. THE PAINT ON THE SIDE OF THE VEHICLE WAS SCRATCHED BADLY AND THE VEHICLE REQUIRED A TOW AND A TRIP TO THE MECHANIC. THE DOOR FELL OFF AGAIN ONLY A WEEK LATER.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARK IN THE PARKING LOT AT HER APARTMENT COMPLEX, THE NEIGHBOR NOTICED SMOKE COMING FROM THE HOOD OF THE CONTACTS VEHICLE. MOMENTS LATER, THE FIRE DEPARTMENT ARRIVED AT THE SEEN AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT HER VEHICLE CAUGHT ON FIRE WITHOUT WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. A POLICE AND FIRE REPORT WERE FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TOWED BUT DEEMED TOTALED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES REPORTED. IT ORIGIN OF THE FIRE WAS UNKNOWN BUT REFERENCED THE POWER STEERING PUMP AS THE FAILURE. THE DEALER WAS NOT INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATE 180,000.
Low pitched rumbling sound from front wheel well when car is moving between 5-25 mph.
ENGINE MOUNT CAUSING VIBRATION AND SOUND UNDER THE HOOD.
MY 2007 ODYSSEY WAS DIAGNOSED AS HAVING A POWER STEERING LEAK. THIS WAS FUNNY BECAUSE MY 2004 ACCORD WAS ALSO DIAGNOSED WITH THE SAME ISSUE. MULTIPLE MECHANICS SUGGESTED THAT PERHAPS THERE WAS AN ISSUE WITH POWER STEERING MACHINERY IN HONDAS FROM THOSE YEARS. IN FACT, THERE WERE RECALLS FOR BOTH 2004 ACCORDS AND 2007 ODYSSEYS BUT OUR VEHICLE VIN NUMBERS DID NOT FALL UNDER THOSE RECALLS. HOWEVER, THIS IS STILL CONCERNING THAT THIS IS DUE TO FAULTY PARTS AND WOULD LIKE HONDA TO CONSIDER A FREE REPLACEMENT AS THEY WOULD HAVE FOR THOSE VEHICLES FOR WHOM THE PARTS WERE RECALLED.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO REGAL HONDA (863-808-1289, LOCATED AT 2615 LAKELAND HILLS BLVD, LAKELAND, FL 33805) WHERE THE RECALL REPAIR WAS PERFORMED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE SAME DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDED AN ALIGNMENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 212,901.
WHEN I GO TO PASS OR ACCELERATE MY VEHICLES BRAKE FEEL THEY ARE BEING ACTIVATED OR SOMETHING IS MISFIRING. THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME I DRIVE MY VEHICLE. THERE IS A RECALL ON THE VSA FOR 2007 HONDA ODYSSEYS ALREADY BUT MINE IS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS RECALL BUT I THINK DIFFERENTLY. AFTER THIS HAPPENS WHILE I'M DRIVING THE VSA LIGHT STAYS ILLUMINATED WHICH MAKES ME PRESUME IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE RECALL. WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO VERIFY THAT MINE IS INDEED NOT A PART OF THIS RECALL OR HAVE IT FIXED PROPERLY UNDER THIS RECALL?.
MY VEHICLE WAS PARKED AND WAS IN A PARKING LOT IN LAKE CITY. I WAS OUT SHOPPING WITH MY FAMILY AND I PRESSED BUTTON TO IPEN PASSENGER SLIDING DOOR AND THE DOOR CAME OFF THE RAILING HANGING BY A CABLE. I HAD A SMALL CHILD WITH ME AND THAT IS DANGEROUS. I JUST BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE SO I HAVE NOT HAD IT LONG. REGARDLESS OF THE MILES ON THE VEHICLE THIS IS UNSAFE.
I HAD BOUGHT MY 2007 HONDA ODYSSEY USED IN AUGUST 2017 PRIOR TO OUR SECOND CHILD BEING BORN. IT WAS ONE FAMILY OWNED WITH APPROXIMATELY 75K MILES ON IT. ABOUT 6 MONTHS INTO IT THE AC COMPRESSOR BROKE CAUSING THE CAR TO CEASE BEING DRIVABLE AND REQUIRING A TOW TO OUR MECHANIC. HE FOUND THAT NOT ONLY DID THE COMPRESSOR BREAK BUT ALSO THE SERPENTINE BELT AND THE TENSIONER HAD GONE. WE HAD THE REPAIR DONE AND EVERYTHING SEEMED FINE UNTIL ABOUT ANOTHER SIX MONTHS WENT BY AND THE SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN. THE AC COMPRESSOR STOPPED WORKING, THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE AT ALL AND REQUIRED A TOW AND THE SERPENTINE BELT AND TENSIONER WERE BROKEN AGAIN. ALL WAS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY, BUT THE INCONVENIENCE FACTOR IS MORE PROBLEMATIC. THIS ISSUE HAS HAPPENED FOUR TIMES IN THE TWO YEARS THAT WE HAVE OWNED THE VEHICLE. I HAVE SEEN SIMILAR COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER OWNERS OF 2007 HONDA ODYSSEYS. I HAVE INDICATED THE MOST RECENT DATE OF THE INCIDENT.
THE DRIVERS SIDE REAR SLIDING DOOR FELL OFF. WE ARE LUCKY NO ONE GOT HURT. MY 81 YEAR OLD MOTHER-IN-LAW HAD TO SIT IN BACK AND HOLD IT TO LET ME KNOW IF IT STARTED SLIPPING. WE WERE IN A GROCERY STORE PARKING LOT AND WHEN IT WAS OPENED IT JUST FELL. A SMALL AMOUNT OF DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE BUT THANK GOD THAT IS ALL THE DAMAGE THAT DAY.
THE DRIVER'S SIDE REAR SLIDING DOOR FELL OFF. VERY SCARY AND CAUSED DAMAGE. 81 YEAR OLD MOTHER-IN-LAW SAT NEXT TO IT HOLDING IT FOR THE TRIP HOME. HORRIBLE WE WERE IN A GROCERY STORE PARKING LOT . WHEN WE OPENED IT IT JUST FELL.
FACTORY ALTERNATOR OVER HEATED AND WAS SMOKING
DRIVING VERY SLOWLY UPHILL IN A HOSPITAL PARKING DECK, THE PRINCIPAL DRIVER OF THE CAR TURNED INTO AN AVAILABLE PARKING SLOT APPLYING SOME GAS, FROM 25-30 FEET AWAY, ONLY TO HAVE THE VEHICLE ACCELERATE UNCONTROLLABLY, EVEN WITH THE DRIVER'S RIGHT FOOT FULLY ENGAGED WITH THE BRAKE PEDAL. THE VAN JUMPED OVER PARKING BLOCKS AT THE END OF THE SPACE AND STRUCK A CONCRETE POST, WHEREUPON THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT CRUMPLED AND THE AIRBAGS ENGAGED. THE VAN BOUNCED BACK APPROXIMATELY TWENTY FEET. WITNESSES ATTRACTED BY THE SOUND OF SQUEALING TIRES, REVVING ENGINE NOISE (BEFORE IMPACT) AND THE SUBSEQUENT CRASH ITSELF CAME TO RENDER ASSISTANCE AND CALL POLICE. THE DRIVER'S RIGHT'S FOOT WAS SEVERELY BRUISED BY THE CRASH IMPACT AND HER STERNUM FRACTURED. THE VEHICLE WAS A DECLARED TOTAL LOSS.

SLIDING SIDE DOOR REAR LATCH WILL NOT STAY LATCHED USING AUTOMATIC CLOSING MECHANISM OR MANUALLY CLOSING THE DOOR WHILE STANDING STILL. WARNING LIGHT AND BUZZER INDICATE UNLATCHED DOOR. SOMETIMES HAPPENS DURING DRIVING. I HAVE NOT YET HAD IT TO THE DEALER.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 166,000.
TAKATA RECALL MY PASSENGER SLIDING DOOR OPENS AN CLOSES WHEN IT WANTS TO. I HIT THE BOTTOM TO OPEN IT AND IT CLOSES THEN IT WILL CLOSE AN THEN OPEN WITH OUT PUSHING THE BUTTON. THE VEHICLE IS PARKED AN THE KEY ISN'T IN THE IGNITION.
A MISFIRE, PISTON RINGS. MECHANIC SAID ITS THE PISTON RINGS. I RAN A COMPRESSION TEST. PUT NEW COLI PACK. AS SOON AS I START THE VAN IT STARTS THE PROBLEM.

THE PASSENGERS SIDE SLIDING DOOR WILL NOT CLOSE ALL THE WAY. IT STAYS SLIGHTLY CRACKED OPEN AND CAN STILL DRIVE AND DOES NOT GIVE THE WARNING BEEPS ANYMORE AFTER THIS HAS BEEN AN ISSUE FOR A MONTH. THE DASH LIGHT THAT SAYS THE DOOR IS OPEN STILL DOES SHOW THAT IT'S OPEN.
ANY TIME I AM DRIVING AT A RELATIVELY HIGH SPEED (45+) GOING DOWNHILL AND NEED TO BRAKE, THE VEHICLE VIBRATES SIGNIFICANTLY. I LOOKED THIS UP AND IT APPEARS TO BE A VERY COMMON ISSUE WITH HONDA ODYSSEYS -- WARPED ROTORS, AND NOT DUE TO OVERUSE OR HIGH MILES. MY HONDA ACTUALLY HAS PRETTY LOW MILES. IT IS VERY CONCERNING WHEN I'M DRIVING WITH MY FAMILY IN THE MOUNTAINS AND FEEL LIKE I ALMOST DON'T HAVE CONTROL OF THE CAR SINCE IT SHAKES SO MUCH. THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL SINCE THIS IS EASILY A $500-1000 FIX. AS FOR THE DATE BELOW, IT'S BEEN HAPPENING FOR YEARS, SO I JUST PUT IN THE MOST RECENT DATE. WE CAMPED LAST WEEKEND AND IT HAPPENED YET AGAIN. FINALLY PROMPTED ME TO FILE A COMPLAINT...
A VSA WITH A TRIANGLE WARNING SIGN IS ON IN MY DASHBOARD, I SCARE THE ABS BRAKES WILL NOT WORK PROPERLY AND IT DOESN'T WORK THE VSA SWITCH ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE DASH NEITHER TO SWITCH ON OR OFF, I CHECK TIRES AND LOOKS OK THE PRESSURE OF EACH, IS ANY RECALL ABOUT THIS PROBLEM WITH THIS HONDA ODISSEY '07?
THE POWER SLIDING DOORS NO LONGER LATCH AND SLIDE OPEN WHILE GOING AROUND CORNERS, POTENTIALLY ALLOWING FOR PEOPLE OR OBJECTS TO FALL OUT.
WE BOUGHT THIS 2007 HONDA ODYSSEY A FEW MONTHS AGO, AND EVER SINCE WE HAVE OWNED IT, IT WILL JUST KEEP GOING FOR AWHILE AT THE SAME SPEED WE HAD IT AT, EVEN THOUGH WE TAKE OUR FOOT OFF THE GAS. WE HAVE TO PUT IT IN NEUTRAL TO STOP, OR IT WILL PULL A BIT HARD ON THE BRAKES. WE CAN STOP IT LIKE THIS, BUT IT WILL WEAR THE BRAKES OUT FAST. ALSO, WHEN WE PUT IT IN DRIVE OR REVERSE, AFTER A FEW SECONDS, IT SPEEDS UP A LITTLE. IT WILL JUST GO DOWN THE ROAD SLOWLY WITHOUT PUTTING OUR FOOT ON THE GAS. IF WE LEAVE IT IN REVERSE, IT WILL ACCELERATE RIGHT THROUGH THE GARAGE, IF WE LET IT. AFTER IT IS IN NEUTRAL FOR A FEW SECONDS, IT FINALLY GOES BACK DOWN TO A REGULAR RPM, BUT GOES BACK UP EVERY 6 SECONDS OR SO, THEN BACK DOWN, ETC... ALSO, WHEN IT IS IDLING, AND I TURN THE STEERING WHEEL, IT REVS UP AGAIN ON IT'S OWN. WE HAVE HAD THE THROTTLE BODY CLEANED, AND HAD IT COMPLETELY CHECKED ON A SCANNER, AND NOTHING CAME UP; EVERYTHING LOOKED GOOD ON THE SCANNER.

MY VAN CAUGHT ON FIRE BUT WAS NOT LISTED AS RECALLED IN 2014. IT STARTED TO SMELL FUNNY AND WHEN I PULLED OVER, THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT WAS ALREADY IN FLAMES.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO SEVERAL INDEPENDENT MECHANICS WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE MASTER CYLINDER HAD NOT MALFUNCTIONED AND NO LEAKS WERE FOUND. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 229,000.
BRAKE PEDAL TRAVELS NEARLY TO FLOOR BEFORE BRAKING BECOMMES EFFECTIVE..OFTEN REQUIRES PUMPING PEDAL TO GET EFFECTIVE BRAKING. SEVERAL TRIPS TO REPAIR SHOPS REQUIRED EXPENSIVE BLEEDING AIR FROM BRAKE LINES AND FLUID REPLACEMENT. PROBLEM REAPPEARS AFTER A FEW WEEKS.
WHILE DRIVING MY 2007 MODEL HONDA ODESSEY, ON JUNE 5TH 2018 WITHOUT ANY WARNING SIGNS, VEHICLE SHUT OFF, DASH WENT OFF. TRIED TO APPLY BRAKE, IT DIDN'T WORK. SOMEHOW MANAGED TO PUT THE PARK GEAR TO PULL OVER TO A LEFT TURN LINE TO AVOID COLLISION WITH OTHER VEHICLES ON THE ROAD. 911 WAS ALERTED SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS BLOCKING THE LEFT TURN LINE AND WAS NOT ABLE TO EVEN OPEN THE DOOR TO COME OUT OF THE VAN. AFTER FEW MINUTES I WAS ABLE TO TURN IT ON AND THERE WAS NO ENGINE SIGN. NO INJURIES OR DAMAGE WAS SUSTAINED. I CONTINUED DRIVING THE VAN HOME. AFTER TWO WEEKS THE ENGINE SIGN CAME UP AND WE TOOK IT TO THE HONDA AUTHORIZED DEALERSHIP. THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WHICH CAUSES THIS ENGINE SHUTDOWN ABRUPTLY. THEY WERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. AFTER TWO DAYS THE BATTERY WENT DOWN. SO WE REPLACED THE BATTERY WITH A NEW ONE. ON JULY 21, MY COUSIN WAS DRIVING THE VAN AND THE SAME HAPPENED AGAIN. HE PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE AND AFTER FEW ATTEMPTS IT STARTED AGAIN AND HE RODE BACK AND PARKED AT HIS HOUSE. ON JULY 24TH, WE TRIED TO TURN IT ON BUT THE BATTERY WAS DOWN. WE JUMP STARTED IT ON 27TH AND TOOK IT TO THE SAME DEALERSHIP. THEY KEPT IT DOING SEVERAL TESTS UNTIL JULY 31ST AND FOUND NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. THEY OK'D US TO TAKE THE VEHICLE SINCE THEY COULDN'T DUPLICATE THE ISSUE . WE ARE VERY MUCH CONCERNED TO RIDE IT AGAIN FEAR OF SAFETY TO OUR OWN LIFE AND THE OTHER INNOCENT FELLOWS ON THE ROAD. WE REPORTED THE HONDA CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY SUGGESTED TO TAKE IT TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP. THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY IF SOMETHING HAPPENS WHEN WE DRIVE THE VAN. WE SEARCHED ONLINE AND FOUND FEW OTHERS HAS REPORTED THE SAME KIND OF INCIDENTS FOR THE SAME MODEL BUT DIFFERENT YEAR. I AM REQUESTING NHTSA INVESTIGATE ON THIS ISSUE AND GIVE YOUR RECOMMENDATIONS
VSA LIGHT CAME ON THEN THE CAR WILL NOT GO OVER 2000 RPMS AND THE STEERING GETS HARD. THE BRAKES GO TO FLOOR MAKING HARD BRAKE FEEL. THIS HAPPENED ON THE INTERSTATE.

VAN TAKES TOO LONG TO STOP. PEDAL FEELS HIGH, BUT STOPPING TAKES TOO LONG. NEW BRAKES HAVE BEEN INSTALLED AND PROBLEM STILL PERSISTS. I CONSIDER THIS TO BE AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS CONDITION. IT SEEMS MORE PRONOUNCED AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS.
