MY WIFE TWO CHILDREN AND 4 GUESTS WERE MOVING FROM A STOP THROUGH AN INTERSECTION WHEN ANOTHER DRIVER DISREGARDED A RED LIGHT AND HIT OUR CAR TOWARD THE REAR OF THE SLIDING DOOR AND FRONT OF REAR WHEEL. THE OTHER CAR'S SPEED WAS UNKNOWN BUT THEY DID NOT APPEAR TO STOP PRIOR TO IMPACT. ALL DRIVER SIDE AIRBAGS ALONG THE SIDE OF THE CAR DEPLOYED. MY WIFE AND ONE DAUGHTER SUSTAINED INJURIES WHICH REQUIRED HOSPITAL EXAMINATION. ALL PASSENGERS HAD SEAT BELT BURNS. MY WIFE WAS STRUCK WITH SOMETHING ON THE TOP OF HER HEAD PRESUMABLY FROM DEBRIS FROM THE AIRBAGS OR TRIM WHEN THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. THIS LEFT A SMALL ROUND HOLE ON THE TOP OF HER HEAD. SHE HAD BLOOD LOSS WHICH WAS TREATED BY WITNESSING NURSES AND DISPATCHED EMT. SHE WAS TREATED AND RELEASED FROM THE LOCAL HOSPITAL AND HAS BEEN RECUPERATING AT HOME. WE ARE EVALUATING FURTHER TREATMENT OPTIONS FOR OTHER MUSCULOSKELETAL INJURIES. MOST SEAT BELT BURNS WERE MINOR ALTHOUGH THE GUEST PASSENGER IN THE 2ND ROW MIDDLE SEAT (REMOVABLE SEAT) HAD MORE SIGNIFICANT BURNS DUE TO ANGLE OF SEAT BELT. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA ODYSSEY. WHILE PARKED, THE POWER LIFTGATE ABRUPTLY CLOSED WHILE IN USE. THE CONTACT WAS UNINJURED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO STATED THAT BOTH POWER LIFTGATE STRUTS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000.
PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT GOES ON INTERMITTENTLY! *TR
I WAS DRIVING TO A SUPERMARKET, I PULLED INTO PARKING LOT AND THEN I SAW A LOT OF SMOKE COMING UNDER THE HOOD, I HAD MY THREE CHILDREN INSIDE THE CAR AND IN MINUTES MY CAR WAS TOTALED COMPLETELY BURNED. HONDA SHOULD PAY MY VAN, NONE NOTICED ANY PROBLEM BEFORE. SIDE DOORS WON'T OPEN AT THE MOMENT OF THE FIRE, VERY DANGEROUS DESIGN FOR AN EMERGENCY LIKE THIS, IMAGINE I MOTHER WITH CHILD ON A CAR SEAT AND NOT HAVING ACCESS TO THE REAR SEATS, WHEN THIS DANGEROUS SITUATION TAKES MINUTES TO BURN THE ENTIRE VEHICLE. *TR
AS THE DRIVER AND ONLY PASSENGER OF THE ABOVE REFERENCED VEHICLE EN-ROUTE TO PICK-UP MY WIFE FROM WORK ON THURSDAY, 19 FEBRUARY 2015 AT APPROXIMATELY 1630 HOURS, I WAS INVOLVED IN A THREE VEHICLE COLLISION WHILE TRAVELLING APPROXIMATELY 33 MPH WESTBOUND ON DALE BOULEVARD APPROACHING FORRESTDALE AVENUE IN WOODBRIDGE, VIRGINIA. AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT, I WAS WEARING MY SEAT BELT. THE DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG IN MY 2007 HONDA ODYSSEY DEPLOYED. INITIAL ASSUMPTION WAS THAT AS THE RESULT OF THE AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT, MY HEAD WAS FORCEFULLY PUSHED TOWARDS THE DRIVER SIDE WINDOW. AND THAT THE IMPACT SHATTERED THE GLASS CAUSING MULTIPLE LACERATIONS ON THE LEFT SIDE OF MY FACE, MULTIPLE FRACTURES AROUND THE EYE SOCKET AND HYPHEMA IN MY LEFT EYE (PHOTOS AVAILABLE FOR YOUR PERUSAL). TO THIS DATE, I CAN'T MAKE SENSE OF THIS ASSUMPTION. I WAS IMMEDIATELY TRANSPORTED BY EMT AMBULANCE TO SENTARA HOSPITAL EMERGENCY ROOM. X-RAYS ON MY CHEST SHOWED NO BROKEN BONES. CAT SCANS TO MY HEAD CONFIRMED MULTIPLE FRACTURES ON THE EYE SOCKET AND CHEEK BONES. SURGERY WAS PERFORMED BETWEEN 12 MIDNIGHT ? 3:00 AM TO SUTURE THE LACERATIONS AND ENSURE THAT MY LEFT EYE WAS CLEAR OF BROKEN GLASS. I WAS OUT OF WORK FROM FRIDAY, 20 FEBRUARY 2015 THRU MONDAY, 02 MARCH 2015 BY ORDER OF DR. BABUR LATEEF, OPTHALMOLOGIST, ADVANCED OPTHALMOLOGY INC. ? THE SPECIALIST WHO PERFORMED THE SURGERY. DR. LATEEF CONTINUES TO SEE ME TO MONITOR THE PRESSURE IN MY EYE, MONITOR THE POSSIBILITY OF GETTING CATARACT AND VISION CORRECTION. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN REPAIRED AND IS NOW IN GOOD OPERATING CONDITION (PHOTOS OF THE DAMAGE PRIOR TO REPAIR AVAILABLE FOR YOUR PERUSAL). HOWEVER, WITH THE ADVENT OF FUTURE RECALLS DUE TO AIRBAG INCIDENTS IN THE NEWS I DECIDED TO SHARE THIS EXPERIENCE IN HOPES THAT I CAN ASSIST IF NOT HELP PREVENT THESE TYPES OF INJURY/IES. *TR
2007 HONDA ODYSSEY DRIVERS SIDE REAR DOOR WILL NOT OPEN MANUALLY OR ELECT. TRIED INSIDE AND OUTSIDE HAVE CHECKED THE GAS ENTRY FLAP AND SWITCHES NO PROBLEMS THERE. MY PROBLEM IS A SAFETY ISSUE. MY WIFE TRANSPORTS OUR GRAND CHILDREN, THE CHILD'S CAR SEAT HAS BEEN MOVED TO THE PASSENGER SIDE IF SOMETHING WERE TO HAPPEN THERE WOULD BE NO ESCAPE FOR THEM. I NEED AN ANSWER. I SEE THERE ARE A LOT OF COMPLAINTS ON LINE THE DEALERS HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO FIX THE PROBLEMS THEY RE-SURFACE A SHORT TIME LATER. THIS HAS TO BE A DESIGN FLAW, THE MECHANICAL SHOULD ALWAYS BE ABLE TO OVERRIDE THE SYSTEM FOR SAFETY. I WOULD LIKE TO HERE FROM SOMEONE CONCERNING THIS PROBLEM. THIS IS A DEATH TRAP. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA ODYSSEY. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. ALL OF THE LIGHTS ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,640.
WHILE EXITING A PARKING LOT AND ACCELERATING TO APROX. 20 MPH, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO SHUDDER AND VIBRATE VIOLENTLY ACCOMPANIED BY THE ILLUMINATION OF THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT. WE SHORTLY AFTERWARD NOTICED A REDUCTION IN POWER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT REPAIR SHOP, WHO STATED THAT, THERE WERE SEVERAL MISFIRE CODES GENERATED WHEN DIAGNOSED. THE REPAIR SHOP DIAGNOSED THE FAILURE AS THE CYLINDER 5 COIL HAVING MELTED INTO THE CYLINDER. AS A RESULT, THE SHOP HAD TO REMOVE THE CYLINDER HEAD IN ORDER TO REMOVE THE COIL AND SPARK PLUG FROM THE VEHICLE. THE REPAIR SHOP STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS CAUSED BY THE SPARK PLUG BECOMING LOOSE AND FUEL LEAKING INTO THE CYLINDER HEAD CHAMBER. THE REPAIR SHOP STATED THAT THIS WAS THE THIRD OF THESE FAILURES SEEN BY THEM. THE DEALER OF PURCHASE AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE ALERTED OF THE FAILURE BUT OFFERED NO RESOLUTION. THE DEALER (KEELER HONDA, LATHAM NY) WAS IN FACT QUITE RUDE ABOUT THE FAILURE IN GENERAL. WE WERE CONCERNED OF THE SAFETY RISK INVOLVED WITH THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED WITH THE TOTAL BILL OF $2411.00. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,108. *TR
I WAS DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY ACCESS RAMP WHEN SUDDENLY HEARD AN EXPLOSION/GUN TYPE SOUND FROM THE TOP OF THE MINI-VAN (HONDA ODYSSEY 2007). I EXITED THE HIGHWAY AND FOUND THAT THE SUN ROOF GLASS HAD SHATTERED TO PIECES. I WAS NOT UNDER AN OVERPASS AND ONLY ONE LOW PROFILE CAR WAS SLIGHTLY BEHIND ME WHEN THIS HAPPENED SO DO NOT BELIEVE THAT THIS WAS CAUSED BY ANOTHER CAR. GLASS IS LIFTED UPWARDS ON THE EDGES. TEMPERATURE WAS AROUND 50 DEG F. *TR
STEERING BECOMES TIGHT AND VERY HARD AT LOW SPEEDS AND MY WIFE STARTED COMPLAINING OF SORE ARMS. I TRIED AND FOUND IT TO BE QUITE HARD. TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND HE FLUSHED POWER STEERING FLUID AND CHARGED ME FOR IT THOUGH THERE IS A TSB ON HOW TO FIX IT. TOOK IT TO THE TIRE SHOP AND THEY ASKED ME TO TAKE IT TO THE ALIGNMENT SHOP. THEN I SEARCHED THE INTERNET AND FOUND TSB A11-039 AND SEVERAL OTHER LETTERS FROM HONDA TO CUSTOMERS. HONDA EXTENDED THE WARRANTY BUT DID NOT INFORM THE OWNERS!! I DID NOT RECEIVE ANY COMMUNICATION REGARDING THIS AND MY VEHICLE DOES NOT SHOW ANY OPEN RECALLS IN HONDA WEBSITE. STEERING IS QUITE CRITICAL TO THE VEHICLE AND HONDA SHOULD RECALL INSTEAD OF PLAYING WITH LIVES OF CUSTOMERS. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA ODYSSEY. WHILE DRIVING AT 45 MPH AND MAKING A LEFT OR RIGHT TURN, THE STEERING WHEEL WAS DIFFICULT TO MANEUVER AND THE CONTACT HEARD AN ABNORMAL NOISE. THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
THE CAR WOULD NOT START, HOWEVER ALL THE LIGHTS WOULD COME ON. IF WE PLAYED WITH THE LOCKING SYSTEM THE CAR WOULD START, BUT THE REAR DOOR WOULD LOCK AND NOT OPEN. THIS WOULD HAPPEN OFTEN. RECENTLY, THE REAR TRUNK, DOOR, IS COMPLETELY LOCKED AND WILL NOT UNLOCK. THERE IS NO WAY OF OPENING IT.
MY HUSBAND AND SON WERE COMING HOME FROM A BUSINESS TRIP WHEN THE SIDE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED FOR NO REASON, HITTING MY HUSBAND AND SON, INJURY THEM. *TR
I REAR-ENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE, WHICH WAS STOPPED, GOING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH AND MY AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. I DID NOT THINK ABOUT THIS ISSUE UNTIL THE OFFICER AT THE SCENE BROUGHT IT TO MY ATTENTION SINCE HE WAS SURPRISED THAT THEY DID NOT DEPLOY. WE WILL NOT FIND OUT UNTIL MONDAY WHETHER OR NOT THE CAR IS TOTALED. *TR
THE ENGINE WAS MAKING PINGING SOUNDS LIKE LIFERS WERE BAD, BUT COMPUTER DIDN'T SHOW ANYTHING WRONG AND NO ENGINE LIGHTS CAME ON, TOOK TO HONDA DEALER THEY SAID BEARINGS BAD AND NEEDED NEW ENGINE. WHY WOULD THAT HAPPEN WHEN ENGINE OIL WAS MAINTAINED AND CHANGED . NEVER OVER HEATED ETC. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA ODYSSEY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE PARKING AND APPLYING THE BRAKES, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED WITHOUT WARNING. THE FAILURE RECURRED ONE OTHER TIME. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT BEEN NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 106,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA ODYSSEY. WHILE GETTING BAGS OUT OF THE VEHICLE, THE REAR LIFTGATE FAILED AND CRASHED ONTO THE CONTACT'S SHOULDER. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE REAR HATCH SHOCKS FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 192,000.
THE PASSENGER SIDE POWER SLIDING REAR DOOR BEGAN INTERMITTENTLY HAVING ISSUES CLOSING-IT WOULD CLOSE ABOUT 75% OF THE WAY, THEN BEEP AS IT DOES IF THERE IS AN OBJECT BLOCKING IT'S PATH, THEN OPEN BACK UP. I WOULD HAVE TO PULL THE DOOR TO HELP GUIDE IT CLOSED. BEFORE I COULD GET IT TO THE HONDA DEALER, THE DRIVER SIDE POWER SLIDING REAR DOOR BEGAN DOING SOMETHING SIMILAR. IT WOULD CLOSE ONLY ABOUT 90%, BUT I WAS UNABLE TO PULL IT FULLY CLOSED. I FLIPPED THE SWITCH TO TURN THE DOORS FROM POWER OPERATION TO MANUAL OPERATION, THINKING EVERYTHING WOULD BE OK. I WAS ABLE TO GET THE DRIVER SIDE SLIDING DOOR CLOSED MANUALLY. HOWEVER, WHEN WE ARRIVED AT OUR DESTINATION, I TRIED TO OPEN THE PASSENGER SIDE SLIDING DOOR (SWITCH WAS STILL IN THE MANUAL POSITION), AND WAS ONLY ABLE TO OPEN IT ABOUT 8-10 INCHES. I COULD NOT GET MY 2 YR OLD DAUGHTER OUT OF HER CAR SEAT. I PUSHED WITH ALL OF MY STRENGTH, AND IT WOULD NOT BUDGE. I RAN BACK AROUND, FLIPPED THE SWITCH BACK TO AUTO, AND WAS ABLE TO GET THE DOOR OPEN THAT WAY. HOWEVER, THIS ORDEAL HAS SHOWN ME A SEVERE SAFETY FLAW WITH THE POWER SLIDING DOORS ON THE 2007 ODYSSEY. IF WE HAD BEEN IN A SITUATION WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS ON FIRE--POSSIBLY FROM THE NOW RECALLED FUEL MECHANISM THAT CAN CATCH FIRE--I WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO GET THEM OUT. IN AN EMERGENCY, WHEN EVERY SECOND COUNTS, THE DOOR ISSUE COULD LITERALLY HAVE MADE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LIFE AND DEATH. MY HUSBAND LOOKED AT THE DOOR THAT EVENING, AND HE, TOO, WAS UNABLE TO GET THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR TO BUDGE WHEN SET TO MANUAL OPERATION. HE HAD TO LIFT THE BACK OF IT AND PULL IT OPEN. ALSO, HE LOOKED AT THE DRIVERS SIDE SLIDING DOOR AND NOTICED METAL SHAVINGS ON THE DOOR WHERE METAL HAD LITERALLY BEEN GRINDING ON METAL. THE ROLLER MECHANISM IS NO LONGER WORKING. I AM TAKING IT IN TO MY LOCAL HONDA DEALER. *TR
THE FRONT AND RIGHT SIDE ENGINE MOUNTS FOR THIS VEHICLE WERE BROKEN AROUND 78,000 MILES. THE ENGINE MOUNTS SHOULD NOT BROKEN WITHIN THIS SHORT MILEAGES AND YEARS. THERE SEEMS LOTS OF OTHER HONDA ODYSSEY OWNERS HAVE THE SAME ENGINE MOUNTS ISSUE. THE ENGINE MOUNT REPLACEMENT IS VERY EXPENSIVE AND THIS IS ALSO A BIG SAFETY ISSUE. THE ENGINE MOUNT, ESPECIALLY THE FRONT ENGINE MOUNT DESIGN SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED AND SHOULD BE REPLACED WITH A BETTER ENGINE MOUNT. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HONDA ODYSSEY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE HAVING THE VEHICLE SERVICED FOR AN UNRELATED FAILURE, THE DEALER DISCOVERED THAT THE SRS SENSOR FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 103,000.
THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WENT ON WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON A FOUR LANE HIGHWAY AT 65 MPH. THERE WAS NO WARNING OR PREVIOUS SIGN OF PROBLEMS. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN DRIVEN UNDER HARSH CONDITIONS, AND IT WAS MAINTAINED APPROPRIATELY. I WAS ABLE TO PULL CAR INTO A DEALERSHIP WITHIN LESS THAN 1 MILE. I FELT I HAD LOST ACCELERATION AND POWER. IT TURNS OUT THAT THE SPARK PLUG BLEW THROUGH THE ALUMINUM CYLINDER HEAD AND I LOST 2 CYLINDERS ON A V6 ENGINE. I'M TOLD THAT METAL DROPPED INTO THE CYLINDER SCORING IT DEEPLY ENOUGH THAT IT CAN'T BE REPAIRED. THERE APPEARS TO BE A WEALTH OF DOCUMENTATION OF THIS PROBLEM FOR HONDA ENGINES AND HONDA HAS DENIED ANY DEFECT OR RESPONSIBILITY. FORTUNATELY, I WAS NOT IN ANY ACCIDENT OR INJURED BUT THIS SEEMS TO BE A SAFETY PROBLEM, HAD I BEEN ON A MAJOR FREEWAY, I'M NOT SURE THIS WOULD HAVE WORKED OUT THE SAME. THE CAR WILL NOW HAVE TO BE TOTALED A THE REPAIR COSTS CANNOT BE JUSTIFIED ($6,000-7,500). HONDA OFFERED NO GOOD WILL IN ANY WAY. *TR

THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE FAILURE STARTED TOO OCCURRED AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED UNDER RECALL NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 13V500000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) AND NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V112000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). PRIOR TO THE RECALL REPAIR, THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE.THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 139,383.
MY 2007 HONDA ODYSSEY TOURING VAN HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE ENGINE ICON APPEARING ON MY DASH. I CALLED MY DEALER, FOR THIS PROBLEM WASN'T RESOLVED ON THE LAST SERVICE VISIT. THEY SAID TO BRING IT IN. I ADDED 3/4 QT. OF OIL DUE TO THE OIL LEVEL, AT LAST CHECK FINE, NOW INDICATED THE LEVEL TO BE AT ITS LOWEST POINT IN THE APPROVED RANGE FOR RUNABILITY. SERVICES PERFORMED, AND WHEN I PICKED IT UP, I NOTICED THE ENGINE ICON STILL FLASHING ON THE DASH. WENT IN TO GET A SERVICE ADVISOR TO VIEW, AND ON A SECOND RE-START THIS HAD DISAPPEARED. THINKING ALL WAS NOW WELL (AND WAS THIS POSSIBLY TIED TO A SOFTWARE UPDATE SERVICE?), TOOK THE VEHICLE ABOUT 35 MILES HOME TO A GROCERY STORE. WHEN I HAD FINISHED SHOPPING, AND STARTED MY VAN, THERE IT WAS AGAIN, THE ENGINE ICON, FLASHING AWAY. THE NEXT DAY I REPORTED THIS TO MY DEALER, AND THEY SAID BRING IT IN. AS THE ENGINE WAS VISIBLY HOT, I SAID I WOULD TRY AND HOPED TO MAKE IT THERE. GETTING OF THE TURNPIKE EXIT, MY VAN ENGINE QUIT AND LUCKILY I COASTED IN TO A PARK 'N RIDE PARKING LOT. I CALLED MY DEALER TO FIND OUT THEY HAD NO WRECKER BUT USED A SERVICE. THEY TOLD ME TO GET IT THERE SO THEY COULD LOOK AT IT. I COOLED THE ENGINE WITH HOOD UP ON A COOL RAINY DAY, AND RE-STARTED MY VAN, AND MADE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP. I WAS SUPPLIED WITH A LOANER CAR, AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD CHECK OVER MY VAN ON THE NEXT DAY. AFTER EVERYTHING, WE WERE NOTIFIED WE HAD BLOWN A HEAD GASKET, LEADING TO FAILURE OF OUR ENGINE. THIS IN SPITE OF MAINTAINING ALL FLUID LEVELS PROPERLY! WE WOULD NEED A NEW ENGINE, AND NO, THE EXTENDED WARRANTY WE PURCHASED DOES NOT COVER THIS WORK. VERY, VERY ANGRY!! *TR
THERE IS NO POWER STEERING IN THE VEHICLE AT LOW SPEEDS. STEERING WHEEL EXTREMELY HARD TO TURN. I HAVE NOTICED YOU LOOSE THE POWER STEERING WHEN TURNING INTO A PARKING SPOT OR DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS (KIDS CARPOOL LANE). I FEEL THAT THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A LOT OF ARM STRENGTH (WHICH A LOT IS NEEDED TO CONTROL CAR) YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CONTROL THE VEHICLE IF NEEDED IN THESE SITUATIONS. THIS CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS IF A VEHICLE CANNOT BE CONTROLLED. THE VEHICLE ALSO MAKES A VERY LOUD NOISE WHEN TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL WHEN THE WEATHER IS COLD.
I RECEIVED A LETTER DETAILING THE REACALL ON MY 2007 HONDA ODDYSEY' S VSA MODULE. I BROUGHT IN MY VEHICLE TO HAVE THE PROBLEM FIXED. THE VEHICLE DID NOT HAVE ANY OBSERVABLE ISSUES, BEFORE I BROUGHT IT IN TO THE RACINE, WI HONDA DEALERSHIP. AFTER THE WORK WAS PREFORMED I OBSERVED THAT WHEN THE VEHICLES HEADLIGHTS WERE ON, THE CRUISE CONTROL, AND REAR BRAKE LIGHTS WERE NO LONGER OPERATIONAL, AND THE VSA LIGHT WOULD ILLUMINATE ON THE DASHBOARD AFTER THE LIGHT SWITCH HAD BEEN ENGAGED FOR 7 LITERAL MINUTES. THIS ISSUE ONLY OCCURS WHEN THE HEADLIGHT SWITCH IS ENGAGED. I HAVE BROUGHT THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP ON 4 SEPERATE OCCASIONS, AND THEY HAVE BEEN UNWILLING, AND UNABLE TO FIX THE PROBLEM. WHEN THEY OBSERVED THE PROBLEM WITH MY VEHICLE, THE HONDA MECHANIC SAYS THAT THE ERROR CODES THAT ARE SHOWING UP ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO BE OCCURING, AND THAT HE'S NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT BEFORE. THEY THEN TRY TO UPSELL ME, ON VARIOUS COMPONENTS ON THE VEHICLE, THAT HAVE NO OBSERVABLE DEFECTS. I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE BECAUSE I HAVE THREE YOUNG CHILDREN, AND WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION THAT HONDA ODDYSEY' S WERE RELIABLE. AFTER GETTING PULLED OVER SEVERAL TIMES BY LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT FOR DRIVING WITHOUT BRAKE LIGHTS AT NIGHT, I HAVE BEEN FORCED TO PARK THE VEHICLE. I BROUGHT THE VEHICLE TO THE KENOSHA HONDA DEALERSHIP, AND THEY SAID THAT THEY WOULD NOT PERFORM THE NECESSARY REPAIRS, SINCE THE RECALL WORK WAS DONE AT ANOTHER DEALERSHIP. AS A SINGLE FATHER OF THREE, I AM BEYOND FRUSTRATION WITH HONDA'S INDIFFERENCE TO THIS ISSUE, AND "CATCH US IF YOU CAN" ATTITUDE. BECAUSE OF THE DEFECTIVE REMEDY TO THE VSA RECALL, I AM UNABLE TO DRIVE THIS VEHICLE WHICH I STILL OWE $6000 ON ($315 MONTHLY). BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE THE VEHICLE ONLY HAS A RESALE VALUE OF ABOUT $800, ,AND THE TOYOTA DEALERSHIP SAID THAT THEY WERE ESSENTIALLY UNINTERESTED, IN TAKING THIS VEHICLE IN AS A TRADE-IN. HELP!!!

THIS VEHICLE IS VERY HARD TO STEERING WHEN IT STOPS OR IN LOW SPEED. I TALKED WITH HONDA CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY CLAIMED THAT IT IS OUT OF WARRANTY. HOWEVER, I FOUND THERE ARE LOTS OF SAME PROBLEMS DESCRIBED ON-LINE. I BELIEVE HONDA SHOULD PROVIDE A SERVICE RECALL ON THIS ISSUE.
MY TEN YEAR OLD DAUGHTER WAS NEARLY CHOKED BY THE WINDOW IN THE DOOR (PASSENGER SIDE) OF MY 2007 HONDA ODYSSEY AFTER THE IGNITION WAS TURNED OFF. I TOOK THE VEHICLE IN FOR THE FUEL PUMP RECALL IN JULY 2014. I DON'T DRIVE THE VEHICLE DAILY ARE MUCH. A MONTH OR TWO LATER I FILLED THE TANK UP AND NOTICED THE FUEL GAUGE DIDN'T GO TO "F", SO I FIGURED MAYBE IT'S NOT FULL, THAT HAPPEN TWO MORE TIMES AND STILL HAPPENING CURRENTLY AND I WAS NOT HAVING THIS PROBLEM PRIOR TO THE RECALL. THE "BUZZ" IS A VIBRATION, WHICH IS FELT IN THE FIRST FEW SECONDS AFTER APPLICATION AND IMMEDIATELY DISAPPEARS IF BRAKING IS HELD, OR RELEASED. WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH WITHOUT CRUISE CONTROL, THE VAN DECELERATED TO 20 MPH ON ITS OWN. THE ENGINE WARNING LIGHT CAME ON. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN AT 20MPH FOR 1/4 MILE AND PARKED FOR 20 MIN. WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING; THE VAN WAS THEN DRIVEN AT SPEEDS BELOW 35 MPH (ENGINE LIGHT ON), THEN INCREASED TO 50-60 MPH FOR 6 MILES WHEN THE DECELERATION RECURRED. THE VAN WAS DRIVEN AT 20 MPH FOR 4 MILES. DEPRESSING THE ACCELERATOR ONLY INCREASED THE ENGINE RPM, NO VELOCITY INCREASE. THE VAN WAS DRIVEN THE NEXT DAY AT SPEEDS BELOW 45 MPH (NO ENGINE LIGHT) WITH NO PROBLEMS. PROBLEM CODES IDENTIFIED AS #2 & #6 SPARK PLUGS MISFIRED (NON-PERMANENT). HONDA SERVICE DROVE THE VAN AT 60 MPH THREE DIFFERENT TIMES FOR A TOTAL OF 20 MILES WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS. THE FAILURE OCCURRED AFTER THE VAN WAS DRIVEN 3000 INTERSTATE MILES AFTER NHTSA RECALL 13V500 (VSA) REPAIR. THE VAN HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED--NO KNOWN CAUSE FOR THE DECELERATION. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 98,000.
THE PAINT HAS BEEN PEELING ON THE HOOD STARTING SMALL AND GROWING EXPONENTIALLY LARGER AND EXPANDING TO THE AREA ON THE ROOF BETWEEN THE WINDSHIELD AND SUNROOF. THIS DEFECT HAS BEEN NOTED IN OTHER CARS SIMILAR TO OURS.

GOT RECALL LETTER FROM HONDA EARLIER RE FUEL PUMP LEAKS FIRE RISK, AND FIX IS PENDING FURTHER NOTICE. DEALER SAYS MY CASE NOT APPLY TO THIS RECALL. WHAT I AM COMPLAIN HERE ~ 1. I AM BEEN RIPE OFF BY DEALER'S "TWIST DEFINITION" NOT APPLYING TO THE SAME RECALL DEFECT FUEL PUMP AND HAVE TO PAY $1K EXTRA FOR THE SAME RECALL DEFECT PARTS. 2. WHAT IF THIS IS HAPPENING ON THE HIGHWAY, IT'S WOULD BE VERY DANGEROUS AND LEADS TO A CHAIN OF ACCIDENT. 3.
