I WAS DRIVING NORTH BOUND ON HIGHWAY 99. ON A SATURDAY AFTERNOON IN RUSH HOUR, IN SACRAMENTO, CA. WHEN I WAS HIT ON THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE BY A BLACK NISSAN. WHEN THE CARS TOUCHED WE SPUN 3 TIMES IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC. WE WERE LUCKY ENOUGH TO NOT HIT ANY OTHER VEHICLE. THE CAR STOPPED 8 FEET AWAY FROM THE RETAINING WALL, FACING NORTH BOUND. MY INFANT (1 MONTH OLD ) AND 13 YR. OLD WERE IN THE BACK. THE INFANTS CAR SEAT SIFTED ABOUT A FOOT TOWARDS THE LEFT OF THE DRIVERS SIDE. THAT MEANS THE REAR SEAT BELTS WERE NOT WORKING PROPERLY. MY 13 YR. OLD SCREAMED AS SHE HOVERED OVER HER BROTHER TO PROTECT HIM. HER SEAT BELT WAS LOOSE ENOUGH FOR HER TO ALLOW HER TO DO THAT. THE TOTAL IMPACT WAS ON HER SIDE. SHE AND I SAW THE CAR COMING BUT THERE WAS NO WHERE TO MOVE. MY FRONT AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY OR OPEN UP. I WAS ABLE TO SHIELD MY FACE ON THE TIME OF THE IMPACT. THE INSURANCE CONSIDERED IT A SALVAGE AND PAID ME OFF. *TR
UPON HAVING MY VEHICLE REPAIRED FOR AN ILLUMINATED "CHECK ENGINE" LIGHT, MY MECHANIC DISCOVERED THAT MY REAR STRUTS WERE LEAKING DUE TO A MANUFACTURING DEFECT. MY CAR HAS 28,000 MILES ON IT. IT WAS APPARENT TO HIM THAT THEY HAD BEEN LEAKING FOR A WHILE, ALTHOUGH THIS WOULD BE AN UNDETECTABLE PROBLEM TO MYSELF, THE DRIVER. MY DEALER REFUSES TO REPAIR IT UNDER THE WARRANTY DUE TO THE FACT THAT IT WAS DISCOVERED 2 WEEKS AFTER THE WARRANTY EXPIRED.*JB
DT: THE CONTACT STATED WHEN CAR HAD 20,000 MILES ON IT STARTED HAVING ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS. THE SRS LIGHT CAME ON, AND IT WAS MAKING A FUNNY SOUND AT 31,000 MILES. SHE SAID DIFFERENT LIGHTS ON THE DASHBOARD WOULD COME ON, BUT SHE WAS NOT SURE WHICH ONES. THE CAR RAN OUT OF OIL, AND THE CONSUMER STATED THERE WAS NO LIGHT TO COME ON TO INDICATE THE CAR WAS LOW ON OIL. THE CAR HAD 118,000 MILES ON IT AT THAT TIME. THE CONTACT HAS TO REPLACE THE ENGINE.*AK
I AM THE ONLY ONE WHO DRIVES MY CAR. I DON'T HAVE A FAMILY. MY CAR IS ONLY 4 1/2 YRS OLD AND THE PASSENGER WINDOW MOTOR BROKE. WITHIN TWO WEEKS THE DRIVER SIDE WINDOW BROKE. I HARDLY USE THEM. I'M AN AIR CONDITIONER GIRL. THIS IS RIDICULOUS! I HAD TO RIP APART THE DOOR AND PUSH UP THE WINDOW. THEY ARE WEDGED SHUT WITH CARDBOARD. MY WIFE PURCHASED A 2000 HYUNDAI ELANTRA VIN#[XXX] FROM BROWN HYUNDAI OF TOLEDO OH. ON 4/18/05 SHE BROUGHT THE CAR TO BROWN HYUNDAI AT 63,000 MILES DUE TO A NOTICE ABOUT POSSIBLE FOR CRACKS FORMING IN THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD, SPECIFICALLY TSB 05-01-001. NO REPLACEMENT WAS MADE AT THAT TIME. RECENTLY, I NOTICED AN EXISTING CRACK IN THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD AND PERFORMED SOME RESEARCH ON THE INTERNET ABOUT THE PROBLEM. I AM SURE YOU ARE AWARE HOW COMMON OF A PROBLEM THIS HAS BEEN AS THERE ARE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ON VARIOUS AUTOMOTIVE FORUMS, THE NHTSA, AND VARIOUS STATES' DEPARTMENT OF CONSUMER PROTECTION. I HAD THE VEHICLE RECENTLY (10/08/12) INSPECTED AT VOSS HYUNDAI OF CENTERVILLE OH WHO HAS CONFIRMED THE EXISTING CRACK. AT 125,000 MILES THE CAR IS PASSED ITS POWERTRAIN WARRANTY. SIMPLY BECAUSE IT WAS NOT VISIBLY EVIDENT IN 2005 DOES NOT MEAN THE MANIFOLD WAS UP TO HYUNDAI'S QUALITY STANDARDS. EXHAUST MANIFOLDS ARE CAST IRON OR STEEL AND ARE NOT A MOVING PART SUBJECT TO FRICTION. THEREFORE, I CANNOT ACCEPT THAT THIS CURRENT PROBLEM IS THE RESULT OF STANDARD OR EXPECTED WEAR-AND-TEAR BUT CAUSED BY A PRE-EXISTING DEFECT THAT HAS SURFACED OVER TIME. I WAS AT A CARWASH WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO ROLL UP THE FRONT POWER WINDOW ON MY DRIVERS SIDE WHEN THE WINDOW DID NOT RESPOND. NOW MY BACK WINDOW DOES NOT ROLL UP. MY VEHICLE ALSO STALLS AND IS NOT ABLE TBE DIAGNOSED.
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED THE VEHICLE HAD RECALL WORK (00V259001) PERFORMED WHICH CAUSED ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS AND INTERMITTENT STALLS. THE RECALL WORK WAS PERFORMED AT ABOUT 60000 MILES AND THE PROBLEMS STARTED AT ABOUT 76000 MILES.
I WAS INVOLVED IN A REAR END COLLISION (MY CAR BEING THE RECIPIENT OF THE IMPACT) THE DRIVER'S SEAT COLLAPSED AND WAS PULLED FROM THE FLOOR BOARD OF THE CAR. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THIS IS A DAGEROUS SITUATION SINCE I COULD HAVE SLIPPED FROM UNDER THE SEATBELT AND COULD HAVE BEEN THROWN THROUGH THE REAR WINDOW. LUCKILY THE VEHICLE THAT HIT ME WAS ONLY GOING ABOUT 50 MPH AND WAS A CAR AND NOT A TRUCK
WAS DRIVING DOWN A HILL IN HOOKSETT NEW HAMPSHIRE, ON MY WAY TO WORK. THE ROADS WERE ICY, AND SNOW COVERED, HIT A PATCH OF ICE, AND HIT A TELEPHONE POLE, TOTALING MY CAR. THE AIR BAG NEVER DEPLOYED. *AK
WHILE CONSUMER WAS DRIVING INADVERTENTLY A POWDER LIKE SUBSTANCE WAS RELEASED FROM AIR BAG WITHOUT DEPLOYING. CONSUMER INHALED THE SUBSTANCE, AND HAD TROUBLE BREATHING. THE CAUSE OF THIS WAS UNDETERMINED.*AK
1) WHEN SLOWING DOWN AT AN INTERSECTION VEHICLE DOWNSHIFTS WITH A THUMPING NOISE AND THE CAR JERKS VIOLENTLY. WHEN ACCELERATING FROM AN INTERSECTION THE VEHICLE UPSHIFTS WITH A VIOLENT JERK. 2) CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON AND DEALER STATES THE GEAR 4 RATIO IS INCORRECT. 3) DEALER UNABLE TO PERFORM REPLACEMENT UNLESS CAR OWNER COVERS COST.*AK
I BOUGHT A BRAND NEW 2004 HYUNDAI ELANTRA FROM FUCCILO'S IN SCHENECTADY, NY IN MARCH OF 2001. I HAVE MAINTAINED THE CAR. ON FRIDAY OCT 08, 2004 I WAS DRIVING ON THE NORTHWAY AND AFTER 20 MINUTES OF DRIVING THE CAR STARTED OVERHEATING AND I PULLED OFF THE ROAD IMMEDIATELY. NO WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON AND THE CAR'S SPEED DROPPED DRAMATIC TO 0. IT WAS TOWED TO MY MECHANIC AND HE LOOKED AT EVERYTHING AND SAID THAT THE COOLING FAN WAS MELTED AND THE WIRE HARNESS ON TOP VALVE COVER WAS TOTALLY MELTED AND THAT THE BELTS LOOKED FINE. HE SAID IT WAS SOMETHING INTERNAL IN THE ENGINE AND I HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED TO FUCCILLO'S BECAUSE THE ENGINE IS GONE AND IT WOULD BE A WARRANTY ISSUE. AFTER HAVING IT TOWED TO FUCCILLO'S MY HUSBAND AND I WENT THERE TO SEE WHAT WAS GOING TO BE DONE. THE MECHANIC OPENED THE HOOD, DID NOT TAKE ANYTHING APART AND SAID IT WAS THE TIMING BELT THAT BROKE AND IT WAS MY FAULT SO IT WOULD NOT BE WARRANTIED. THEY OFFERED ME 50.00 FOR THE CAR TOWARDS A NEW CAR. I ALREADY OWE 5000.00 ON THE VEHICLE, I ONLY HAD IT FOR 3 THREES. I CALLED MY MECHANIC WHO HAD TAKEN IT APART AND CONFIRMED WITH HIM THAT THE TIMING BELT WAS FINE. I CALLED FUCCILLO'S BACK AND THE MECHANIC SAID HE WOULD LOOK AT IT BUT IT WOULD COST ME 80.00. I AGREED BECAUSE I HAD NO CHOICE. I THEN RECEIVED A PHONE CALL DAYS LATER TELLING ME THAT THE BELT "JUMPED" AND DAMAGED THE ENGINE SO IT WOULD NOT BE COVERED HE ALSO STATED THAT ANOTHER CODE (P0118) CAME UP BUT HE DIDN'T KNOW WHAT THAT MEANT. HE TOLD ME THAT THEY WOULD NOT DO ANYTHING ELSE THAT I HAD A CHOICE OF TRADING IT OR PAYING 6000.00 FOR A NEW ENGINE. *AK
WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED VEHICLE STALLED. CONSUMER RESTARTED VEHICLE AND TOOK IT TO DEALER FOR INSPECTION. HOWEVER, MECHANIC COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM.*AK
WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A THREE CAR CRASH. AS A RESULT, VEHICLE WAS THROWN ACROSS THE MEDIAN, CRASHING INTO A POLE. UPON IMPACT, DUAL AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. DRIVER SUSTAINED MAJOR HEAD AND NECK INJURIES. *AK
2000 HYUNDAI ELANTRA GSL. CAR STALLED @ 30MPH. PULLED OVER TO THE NEARES SHOP. PROBLEM NARROWED DOWN TO A FAULT Y SPARK PLUG WIRE. DEALER (LEN STOLER HYUNDAY/CRYSLER OF REISTERSTOWN, MD) REFUSED A WARRANTY REPAIR, CLAIMING THAT THIS COMPONENT IS NOT PART OF THE ENGINE! THAT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY.*AK
WHILE GOING AROUND A BEND APPROXIMATELY 50-60 MPH VEHICLE HIT A DITCH, WHICH CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO SPIN OUT OF CONTROL, AND HIT A TREE ONE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR. UPON IMPACT, DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG FAILED TO DEPLOY. *AK
WHILE AWAY ON VACCATION IN VIRGINIA, DRIVERS SEAT BELT SPRUNG AND TIGHTENED UP ON DRIVER, AIR BAG LIGHT WENT ON ON THE DASH. ABOUT 200 MILES LATER UPON STARTING THE CAR WHILE IN PROCESS OF PUTTING ON PAX SEAT BELT, IT SPRUNG AND TIGHTENED UP. UPON RETURNING HOME, VISITED DEALER FOR SERVICE. TOLD TO MAKE APPT FOR FOLLOWING WEEK AND THEY PUT SEAT BELTS ON ORDER. WNR IN 8/3 FOR SCHEDULED APPT, THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE BELTS AND TOLD THEY WEREN'T ORDERED. DEALER THEN ORDERED AIR BAGE MODE & BELTS. AS OF 8/13 STILL DON'T HAVE AND CAR WARRANTY NOT HONORED, YET. *AK
WHILE DRIVING, THE HOOD RELEASED FROM THE HOOD LATCH AND FLIPPED OPEN BREAKING THE WINDSHIELD AND CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. *MR THERE WAS NO INDICATION THAT THE HOOD LATCH WOULD FAIL. THERE WERE NO PREVIOUS ACCIDENT OR DAMAGE TO THE LATCH. *SC *JB
DURING A COLLISION, THE FRONT AIR BAGS DEPLOYED, BUT DID NOT INFLATE. THE CONSUMER SUFFERED INJURIES TO THE FACE AND UPPER TORSO. THE CONSUMER HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED.(POINT OF IMPACT UNKNOWN). PLEASE PROVIDE MORE INFORMATION. *JB
CAR CONTINUES TO OVERHEAT. THIS IS THE FOURTH TIME IT HAS HAPPENED; SOMETIME THE PROBLEM CAN NOT BE DUPLICATED AND I AM SENT ON MY WAY EVEN THOUGH IT HAS HAPPEN BEFORE. THE CYLINDER HEADS, WATER PUMP, THERMOSTAT, SENSOR AND MANY OTHERS ARE ONLY A FEW OF THE THINGS THAT HAVE BEEN REPLACED ON THIS PROBLEM. THE CAR SHUTS-OFF WITHOUT WARNING, AND DRIVES LIKE A DESIEL ENGINE (ROUGH), YOU ALMOST HAVE TO FLOOR IT TO MAKE THE CAR STOP AND THE DEALER SAYS IT IS NORMAL; EVEN THOUGH I HIT ANOTHER CAR GOING ABOUT 5MPH BECAUSE THE CAR JERKED FOWARD AND SMASHED MY HOOD (I HIT A FORD:EXCRUSSION SO HE HAD NO DAMAGE) AND THE TRANSMISSION DOES NOT SHIFT CORRECTLY. SURE THE DEALER SHIP TRIES TO FIX THE PROBLEM BUT THERE HAVE BEEN TIMES I HAVE BEEN OUT OF MY CAR FOR A LONG AS 7 TO 8 WEEKS AND MANY TIMES THERE DON'T EVEN KNOW WHATS WRONG. I HAVE TRIED TO CONTACT RICK CASE THE DEARLERSHIP OWNER AND I NEVER REICEVE A CALL OR EMAIL. *AK
THUMPING NOISE IN RR WHEEL AT 104 MILES - REAR SHOES BINDING ON BACKING PLATES- REMOVE AND RESURRFACE BOTH REAR SHOES AND BACKING PLATES. AGAIN AT 1587 MILES REAR SHOES BINDING ON BACKING PLATES - AGAIN R/R BOTH SHOES AND LUBE BACKING PLATES. ~9000 MILES THUMPING AGAIN, SERVICE COULD NOT HEAR. AT 10,251 MILES RETURNED WITH SAME THUMPING COMPLAINT - SERVICE DETERMINED REAR DRUMS OUT OF ROUND, REPLACED REAR DRUMS. THUMPING NOISE RETURNS AT 42,450 MILES, RESURFACED FRONT BRAKE ROTORS & RESURFACED REAR BRAKE DRUMS, CLEANED AND ADJUSTED REAR BRAKES. SHOES AND PADS ALL STILL FINE WITH PLENTY OF LIFE LEFT.*AK
REQUEST FOR REPAIR COST REIMBURSEMENT.*MR CONSUMER RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE IN LATE 2000 REGARDING ENGINE STALLING DUE TO A MALFUNCTION OF THE AIR FLOW SENSOR. THE CONSUMER TOOK HIS VEHICLE IN FOR SERVICE ON NOV 7,2000. MAY OF THIS YEAR THE CONSUMER STARTED EXPERIENCING INTERMITTENT STALLING. AFTER FIVE ATTEMPTS FOR SERVICE THE MANIFOLD WAS REPLACED. THE VEHICLE STALLED THAT VERY NIGHT AFTER THE REPLACEMENT (RECALL #00V259001 ). *TC
WHILE DRIVING BETWEEN 35 AND 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONT END COLLISION, BOTH AIR BAG DEPLOYED, BUT THE DRIVERS SEAT BELT, DIDN'T RESTRAIN THE CONSUMER. THE CONSUMER STATED THE SEAT BELT ON THE DRIVERS SIDE DID NOT LOCK IN THE CRASH. THE DRIVER OF THE VEHICLE IS 5FT 6IN. THE CONSUMER BROKE BOTH SIDES OF HIS/HER CHEST BONE. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION. *JB WHEN THE DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG DEPLOYED, IT WHEN IN THE AIR AND DID NOT PROTECT THE CONSUMER FROM HITTING THE STEERING WHEEL.CW
WHILE DRIVING AT 45 MPH VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A HEAD ON COLLISION. UPON IMPACT, FRONTAL AIRBAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY THIS RESULTED IN DRIVER AND PASSENGER SUSTAINING INJURIES. *AK *LA
WHILE DRIVING, THE SEAT BELT POPPED LOOSE. THE DRIVER LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. THIS CAUSED THE DRIVER TO HIT A TREE. NONE OF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED HEAD INJURIES. THE DRIVER WAS SEEN BY A MEDICAL TECHNICIAN ON SITE, BUT REFUSED TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL. THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED.
CONSUMER RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR THE BRAKES. CONSUMER APPLIED THE BRAKES AND THE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. ALSO, A KNOCKING NOISE WAS HEARD COMING FROM DRIVER SIDE WHEEL. CONSUMER WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE TO DEALER FOR ANALYSIS. CONSUMER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS FINE UNTIL THE RECALL REPAIRS WERE PERFORMED. *AK
WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE CONSUMER RESTARTED THE VEHICLE AND DROVE IT TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION. THE MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT THE COMPUTER NEEDED TO BE RESET, AND THE MECHANIC RESET IT. HOWEVER, THE PROBLEM RECURRED. *AK THE PROBLEM REMAINED THE SAME. *SC
WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH VEHICLE COLLIDED WITH A DEER IN THE ROAD. UPON IMPACT, DUAL AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. *AK
I HAD TO REPLACE THERMOSTAT/RADAITOR/SPARK PLUGS/WIRES, AND OIL CHANGE IN NOVEMEBER, COSTING $800, THE FOLLOWING MONTH I HAD TO PUT A NEW ENGINE IN MY CAR, COSTING $6000. MY CAR IS STILL IN THE 10YEAR 100,000MILE WARRANTY, AND THE HYUNDAI DEALERSHIP HAS HAD MY CAR OVER 3MONTHS.*AK
VEHICLE WAS REAR ENDED WHILE AT A STOP. BRAKES WERE APPLIED BUT VEHICLE DIDN'T STOP UNTIL IT LANDED IN AN EMBANKMENT. *PH *MR
WHILE BACKING INTO THE DRIVEWAY, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED BACKWARD INTO THE GARAGE. *AK *SC ALSO THE LEFT FRONT WINDOW WAS INOPERATIVE, THE DEALER ADJUSTED THE WINDOW TRACK. *JB
IN HEAD ON COLLISION, ESTIMATED SPEED ON IMPACT ROUGHLY 20-25 MPH--AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY---SHOULD IT HAVE? NOT SURE WHAT SPEED WOULD CAUE AIRBAG TO DEPLOY- IF THERE IS A DEFECT IN MY AIRBAG SYSTEM,BECAUSE IT DID NOT DEPLOY, RESUME WITH A CLASS ACTION, WHICH I WILL CHECK OFF, IF THERE IS NO RECOURSE OR REASON WHY MY AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY, I FEEL THAT IT SHOULD HAVE, BUT ANYWAY, IF THERE IS REASON TO SUBSTANCIATE THE AIR BAG NOT GOING OFF, THE I WILL DISREGARD THE CLASS ACTION. WHILE DRIVING AT 45 MPH CONSUMER'S VEHICLE REAR ENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE IN FRONT . SEAT BELTS WERE WORN, BUT SEAT BELT DID NOT HOLD. ALSO, DRIVER'S AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. CONSUMER SUFFERED NECK/BACK, AND KNEE INJURIES. POLICE DID ARRIVE ON THE SCENE, AND VEHICLE WAS TOTALED. DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE INFORMED OF THE ACCIDENT.*AK
WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONTAL CRASH, AND BOTH FRONTAL AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. *AK
THE RING ON THE RADIATOR FILLER NECK BROKE OFF. WHILE TRYING TO CHECK THE FLUID LEVELS OF VEHICLE CONSUMER'S SON ATTEMPTED TO REMOVE THE CAP OF THE RADIATOR, AND THE RING BROKE OFF WITH PARTS STILL ATTACHED TO THE OVERFLOW HOSE. *AK
CONSUMER STATES THAT WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED AND WITH NO WARNING VEHICLE WILL SHUT OFF, CAUSING CONSUMER TO PULL OVER, AND IT WILL BE HARD TO GET THE VEHICLE BACK STARTED.DEALER NOTIFIED.*AK
WHEN CAR IS COMING TO A STOP THE TRANSMISSION/ENGINE RUMBLES. IT HAS BEEN THIS WAY FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS (EVERY DAY) BUT ON THE 2 OCCASSIONS I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING.
OUR DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW WOULD NOT GO UP OR DOWN A FEW MONTHS AGO, THE DEALER REPLACED THE WINDOW MOTOR. NOW, OUR PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW IS DOING THE SAME THING...IT WILL NOT RAISE OR LOWER. WE WILL HAVE TO TAKE MORE TIME OFF FROM WORK TO GET THIS FIXED. THIS IS AT LEAST OUR SEVENTH WARRANTY REPAIR SINCE WE PURCHASED THE CAR.*AK

NO EVENTS LEAD TO FAILURE, IT IS JUST HAPPENING WHILE PARKED, DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. IT HAS FAILED IN ALL 4 WINDOW OF THE CAR. THE FIRST WINDOW WAS UNDER WARRANTY AND THE WINDOW REGULATOR WAS PLACED. THE REMAINING 3 WINDOWS ARE STILL BROKEN UNTIL $1000.00 IS AVAILABLE FOR REPAIR. *TR
THREE TIMES IN FIVE DAYS, MY 2000 HYUNDAI WAS IN THE SHOP - TWO OF THESE TIMES IT HAD TO BE TOWED WHILE I WAITED ALONE ON THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY. FIRST I WAS TOLD THAT THE THERMOSTAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND THAT THE CAR WAS OKAY. I TOOK IT BACK THE DAY FOLLOWING AND EXPLAINED THAT IT WAS NOT IDLING CORRECTLY. I RECEIVED IT BACK THE FOLLOWING DAY AND WITHIN 10 MILES OF DRIVING WAS HAVING SURGES IN THE ENGINE AND THE RPM'S WOULD RACE INTO THE RED. I PULLED OVER AND THE DEALER TOLD ME TO SLOWLY DRIVE THE CAR BACK. I TRIED, BUT NEVER MADE IT. THE CLOSER I GOT, THE WORSE THE CAR BUCKED AND THE RPM'S RACED. I FINALLY TOOK MY FOOT OFF OF THE BRAKE AS I DECIDED WHETHER TO CONTINUE ON OR PULL OVER, BUT BEFORE I COULD DECIDE, MY CAR BEGAN ACCELERATING ON IT'S OWN. I QUICKLY GOT THE CAR OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE EXPRESSWAY AND INTO THE GRASS. THE RPM'S STILL ERRATIC AND THE CAR IDLED AT 2.5-3 RPM'S. THIS CAR IS A DEATH TRAP AND IS NOT SAFE. DEALERSHIP STILL CAN NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT.*AK
THE TRANSMISSIONS ON THESE CARS FAIL AND GET STUCK IN GEARS CAUSING DANGEROUS DRIVING SITUATIONS AND BREAKDOWNS. I HAD SEVERAL OF THESE CARS AS COMPANY TRANSPORTATION AND THEY ALL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. *TR

VEHICLE HESITATES GOING DOWN ROAD. ALSO STALLS AND CUTS OFF AT LOW SPEEDS AND AT A STOP. SOMETIMES HESITATES WHEN TRYING ACCELERATE. RECALL 00V259001 HAS BEEN DONE SEVERAL TIMES AND DOES NOT CORRECT PROBLEM. CAR HAS BEEN TO DEALER SIX TIMES FOR SAME PROBLEM AND STILL NOT FIXED. I'VE TALKED TO THE SERVICE MANAGER, DEALERSHIP MANAGER, OWNER, AND CUSTOMER SERVICE WITH NO HELP. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR OVER 2 YEARS. THE FIRST WEB SIGHT I CHECKED FOR OTHER COMPLAINTS WAS MYCARSTATS.COM. I FOUND 21 COMPLAINTS OF THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM WITH NO SOLUTION. *LA
WHILE DRIVING AT 15 MPH THE HOOD OPENED SUDDENLY RESULTING IN DAMAGE. THE DEALER WAS NOTIFIED. *NLM
THE TRANSMISSION FAILED WITHOUT WARNING, WHICH CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO STALL, CONSUMER WAS INFORMED THE TRANSMISSION WAS ON NATIONAL BACK ORDER. *JB
CONSUMER STATES THAT WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED AND WITH NO WARNING VEHICLE WILL SHUT OFF, CAUSING CONSUMER TO PULL OVER AND IT WILL BE HARD TO GET THE VEHICLE BACK STARTED.DEALER NOTIFIED. *AK
