MY 2013 ELANTRA HAS IN THE PAST EXPERIENCED LABORED ENGINE ISSUES, AND SHUTTING DOWN WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES, THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUE. AT MY APPOINTMENT THIS MONTH, I WILL ADVISE THE DEALERSHIP OF THE ISSUE, AS IT HAPPENED AGAIN THIS WEEK. I STILL AM UNDER WARRANTY FOR THE DRIVE TRAIN 100,000K MILES, I AM HOPING THIS APPOINTMENT, THE DEALERSHIP WILL LOCATE THE ISSUE AND FIX THE PROBLEM.
MY AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON AND I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP. THEY SAID THAT THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING A LOT WITH HYUNDAI MODELS AND SAID IT WAS LIKELY DUE TO A "CLOCK SPRING" AND THAT IT WOULD COST ME $100 JUST TO EVALUATE, AND THEN POSSIBLY ANOTHER $350 TO FIX. THE GUY I TALKED TO SAID THAT MY AIRBAG WOULD NOT DEPLOY UNTIL IT WAS FIXED. THIS SEEMS LIKE A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE THAT APPEARS TO BE FAIRLY COMMON.
BRAKE LIGHTS KEEP INTERMITTENT WORKING AND BURNING OUT. STEERING WHEEL MAKES CLICKING NOISE. KEEP HAVING TO REPLACE TIRES IN FRONT. EVEN AFTER ALIGNMENT, CAR STILL PULLS. *TR
MY AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON AND WILL NOT GO OFF. I WAS TOLD IT WILL COST ALMOST $400 TO GET THINGS FIXED. I FEEL THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL BECAUSE IT'S AFFECTING MY SAFETY TO DRIVE MY VEHICLE.

TAKATA RECALLS. MY RADIO BLUETOOTH DOESN'T WORK NOR DOES THE USB. I'M CONSTANTLY HAVING TO CHANGE REAR LIGHTBULBS. WHEN MY CAR REACHES A CERTAIN SPEED IT STARTS TO SHAKE. MY TIRE SENSOR PUT A HOLE IN MY TIRE. MY SEAT BELTS WILL NOT CONNECT. I'M JUST HAD TO CHANGE THE ALTERNATOR. AND THE ENGINE MAKES A TICKING SOUND.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE STABILITRAK AND TRACTION CONTROL WARNING INDICATORS FLASHED, THE STEERING WHEEL MADE AN ABNORMAL NOISE WHEN TURNED IN EITHER DIRECTION, AND THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED SLOWLY WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. RANCHO GRANDE MOTORS (1404 AUTO PARK WAY, SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA 93405, (805) 543-4745) WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE VEHICLE WAS CURRENTLY AT THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 39,600.
THIS HAS NOT HAPPENED YET, BUT IT WILL, AND TO HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF OTHER 1.8L ENGINES. WHY HAVE YOU NOT RECALLED THE HYUNDAI 1.8L NU ENGINES USED IN THE KIA FORTE AND HYUNDAI ELANTRA'S (ALL TRIMS AND LEVELS FROM 2011-2016). THIS ENGINE HAS THE SAME ISSUES AS THE 2.0L AND 2.4L ENGINES, AND MORE 1.8L ENGINES WERE SOLD THAN THE 2.0L AND 2.4L ENGINES COMBINED. MY ENGINE IS NOW EXPERIENCING 'ROD-KNOCK' AND SINCE I AM THE SECOND OWNER AND MY CAR ONLY HAS 80000 MILES, HYUNDAI WILL NOT REPAIR OR REPLACE THE ENGINE, EVEN THOUGH ITS A KNOWN MANUFACTURING DEFECT. YOU CAN FIND THOUSANDS OF COMPLAINTS OF THIS ENGINE ON VARIOUS CAR FORUMS AND CONSUMER REPORT WEBSITES, YET YOU FAIL TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE AND MAKE IT PUBLIC.

STEERING WHEEL SHAFT BROKE WHILE TURNING INTO PARKING LOT.

THE CONTACT PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER AND HAD IT TOWED TO KEY AUTO CENTER OF SOMERSWORTH (221 NH-108, SOMERSWORTH, NH 03878) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO CONICELLI HYUNDAI (LOCATED AT WEST 1208 RIDGE PIKE, CONSHOHOCKEN, PA 19428, (610) 624-2029) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FAILURE WAS DUE TO WEAR AND TEAR. THE REAR TAIL LIGHTS WERE REPLACED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE WIRING HARNESS IN THE TAIL LIGHTS MELTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
THE VEHICLE HAS A STRANGE SOUND WHEN STARTED UP IN THE MORNINGS. ALMOST LIKE A TICKING OR SMALL KNOCKING SOUND. WHEN I PUT MY CAR IN REVERSE TO BACK UP IT STARTS TO JERK LIKE IT'S ABOUT TO SHUT OFF. ALSO THAT SAME JERKING OCCURS WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. WHEN MY CAR IS AT THE SPEED 35 IT STARTS TO JERK LIKE IT'S ABOUT TO SHUT OFF TOO. IT HAPPENS ALL DAY LONG BETWEEN THE SPEEDS 35 TO 65. WHEN I TURN ON THE AC MY CAR MAKES A WEIRD SQUEAKING NOSE AND ALSO JERKS LIKE IT'S ABOUT TO GIVE OUT AGAIN. I HAVE HAD ALL MY FLUIDS CHECK AND EVERYTHING IS JUST FINE. I DONT FEEL SAFE IN MY CAR. IT STARTED HAPPENING THE SAME DAY I GOT MY VEHICLE FROM A SMALL USED CAR LOT ON MARCH 4TH 2019. IT'S BEEN HAPPENING SINCE THE DAY I HAVE LEFT. I CALLED THE GUY WHO SOLD MY THE CAR AND HE TOLD ME T WAS PROBABLY THE GAS BEING BAD SINCE THE CAR SIT SO LONG ON THE LOT. BUT IT HAS NEVER STOPPED.
IN MARCH 2019 TAKEN IN FOR STATE INSPECTION. DURING THE INSPECTION, NOTIFIED THAT THE DOG BONE MOUNT AND LOWER OIL PAN LEAK BY SERVICE ADVISOR AT DEALERSHIP. . THE ENGINE WAS REPLACED LAST AUGUST AND A LEAK IN THE PAN OCCURRED. IT WAS COVERED BY 10 YEAR WARRANTY. PARTS NOT AVAILABLE SO AN ORDER WAS DONE. TOLD THIS NEED TO BE DONE IMMEDIATELY BEFORE ANY OTHER DAMAGE OCCUR. A LEAK IN THE OIL PAN LESS THAN A YEAR AT 69,344 MILES.
ENGINE STALLED ON ME. EVERY TIME I PRESS THE GAS PEDAL IT JERKS. SOMETIMES WHEN I START THE CAR IT WON'T START. ALSO IF IT TAKES A WHILE TO START IT WILL STALL THE WHOLE TIME WHILE DRIVING. I CAN PRESS ON THE GAS PEDAL BUT IT WILL DRIVE LIKE 1 MILE PER MINUTE. I CAN HEAR THE ENGINE ROARING, BUT IT JUST WON'T MOVE. I TOOK IT IN TO HYUNDAI THEY FIXED IT, BUT NOW MY CAR IS STARTING IT AGAIN. I RECENTLY GOT ON THE FREEWAY AND RIGHT WHEN I PRESSED THE GAS PEDDLE IT JERKED AND THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. NOW IT'S STARTING TO DO THE SAME THING TAKING A WHILE TO START, AND STALLING OUT OF NOWHERE. I CAN ALSO HEAR ALMOST LIKE A KNOCK AND THE GEARS SHIFTING WHEN I'M DRIVING, WHEN I STOP AND GO I CAN HEAR EVERYTHING. I'M AFRAID TO GO ANYWHERE FAR IN MY CAR BECAUSE I NEVER KNOW WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN. I THINK THIS ENGINE NEED TO BE ASSESSED BECAUSE THIS IS NOT NORMAL AT ALL.
THE STEERING WHEEL MAKES A CLICKING SOUND WHEN STEERING WHEEL IS TURNED RIGHT AND TO THE LEFT WHEN CAR IS STATIONARY AND DRIVING AT A SLOW PACE. STEERING WHEEL CLICKS NOTED WHEN DRIVING OVER BUMPS IN THE ROAD AND BACKING UP SUCH AS SMALL UNEVEN SURFACE LIKE BACKING INTO AND OUT OF GARAGE.
MY 2013 ELANTRA IS HAVING TROUBLE STARTING, IT TAKES SEVERAL TIMES FOR THE CAR TO START, ALL I GET IS A CLICKING NOISE, A MECHANIC HAD ME PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL AND IT STARTED, THIS WEEK, I SPENT 10 MINUTES PUTTING THE CAR IN PARK, NEUTRAL, AND TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL FOR IT TO START, IT WAS TOWED A COUPLE YEARS BACK AND THE DEALER COULD NOT "REPLICATE" THE ISSUE. ABOUT A MONTH AGO, I HEARD A TICKING SOUND IN MY ENGINE, SEVERAL PEOPLE AND TWO MECHANICS HAVE LISTENED TO IT AND ARE SAYING IT IS EITHER THE VALVES OR LIFTERS. I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT THIS MONTH, SO WILL UPDATE WITH MY FINDINGS.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS A DESIGN FLAW AND A KNOWN ISSUE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ANOTHER INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS DUE TO A PISTON FLAP. THE MECHANIC DID NOT ASSIST. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BUERKLE HYUNDAI (651-484-0231, LOCATED AT 3350 N. HIGHWAY 61, WHITE BEAR LAKE, MN 55110) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND OFFERED A FIFTY PERCENT DISCOUNT TOWARDS ENGINE REPLACEMENT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 55,000. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN.
MY ENGINE RECENTLY DEVELOPED A LOUD TICKING NOISE AT 78,000 MILES. I TOOK IT INTO MY LOCAL HYUNDAI DEALER AND THEY INFORMED ME THAT I NEEDED A NEW ENGINE AND ADVICE ME NOT TO DRIVE THE CAR BECAUSE THE ENGINE COULD SEIZE UP. THE NOISE LASTED NO LONGER THAN A WEEK BEFORE I TOOK IT IN. THE CAR WAS ALSO REGULARLY SERVICED AND I HAVE RECEIPTS. THE DEALERSHIP FOUND METAL DEBRIS IN THE OIL PAN BUT COULD NOT DIAGNOSE THE EXACT ISSUE WITHOUT COMPLETELY DISASSEMBLING THE ENGINE. WHEN LOOKING ONLINE, THIS PROBLEM POPS UP HUNDREDS OF TIMES FOR THIS MAKE AND MODEL OF CAR BUT HYUNDAI HAS NEVER ISSUED A RECALL.
WHILE ENGAGING IN NIRMAL DRIVE, ENGINE (APP.75K MILES) STARTING KNOCKING. FIRESTONE REFUSED TO WORK ON DEFECTIVE ENGINE AND STATED THAT OIL WAS DIRTY EVEN THOUGH RECENTLY CHANGED SHORTLY AFTER REGULAR 3K OIL CHANGE. TOOK TO DIFFERENT MECHANIC WHO SAID THERE IS PISTON DETERIORATION/ DAMAGE ALONG WITH LIFTER DAMAGE. ENGINE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED.
ON FEBRUARY 23, 2019 I WAS A PASSENGER IN 2013 HYUNDAI ELANTRA LIMITED, WHEN SUDDENLY THE GLOVE BOX OPENED AND FELL IN MY LAP. MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING THE CAR AND WE WERE ON HIGHWAY. I WAS TRYING TO CLOSE IT BACK, BUT THE LATCHES ON THE SIDES OF THE GLOVE BOX WERE NOT LATCHING. IN CASE OF COLLUSION IT MAY BE VERY HAZARDOUS SITUATION. BESIDES, NOBODY WANTS TO HAVE A GLOVE BOX IN YOUR LAPS. *TR

THE DEALER STATED THAT THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED DUE TO THE REPAIR FEES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 15522450. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,675.

MY 2013 ELANTRA SEDAN BUILT IN ALABAMA ON JUNE 14, 2013, AND EQUIPPED WITH A 1.8L ENGINE. I HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP BECAUSE IT CUT OFF ON ME WHILE DRIVING IN THE MIDDLE OF A CANYON, IN TRAFFIC. THE BRAKES DID NOT WORK. THE CARS STEERING LOCKED UP AND COULD NOT CONTROL THE CAR MORE THAN TO VEER IT OFF THE ROAD WITH THE FORWARD MOMENTUM FROM COMING DOWN A HILL. I WAS TOLD THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED DUE TO THE OIL LEVEL BEING TOO LOW. I HAD JUST HAD IT REPLACED AND CHECKED ABOUT A WEEK BEFORE. THEN I WAS TOLD IT WAS A CONNECTING ROD THAT HAD BROKEN. I'VE LEFT THE CAR AT THE DEALERSHIP AT THE MOMENT BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE THIS IS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT AND WILL NOT PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR A REPAIR THAT WOULD BE COVERED IN CANADA.

THE CAR ONLY WORKS PROPER ON A BRAND NEW ROAD WITHOUT WIND, SNOW, ICE, RAIN, CRACKS, OR BUMPS AND SHOULD ONLY BE SOLD AS A RACE CAR NOT A PUBLIC STREET DRIVING CAR! I AM SCARED FOR MY LIFE EVERY TIME I HAVE TO DRIVE THIS CAR! I HAVE ALMOST LOST CONTROL THOUSANDS OF TIMES! HUNDREDS OF OTHER PEOPLE ONLINE HAVE SAME ISSUE WITH THIS CAR!
STARTED HEARING A TICKING NOISE IN THE ENGINE ONCE IT TURNED COLD. WOULD HEAR THE NOISE WHEN I STARTED UP THE CAR FROM A STATIONARY POSITION AND NOISE WOULD ACCELERATE AS I PRESSED ON THE GAS AND DECREASE AS I SLOWED DOWN. TOOK TO A HYUNDAI DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THAT THERE WERE METAL SHAVINGS PROBABLY FROM THE ROD BEARINGS IN THE ENGINE. TOLD I WOULD NEED A NEW ENGINE AND PROVIDED A COST OF $8,000.

THE DEALER STATED THAT THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED DUE TO THE REPAIR FEES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 15450300. THE CASE WAS CLOSED AND NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 103,000.
WHILE DRIVING MY CAR IT HAD SUDDEN SURGE OF ACCELERATION CONTINUE WHILE IN NEUTRAL AND PARK. REQUIRING TO TURN OFF ENGINE. EXCESSIVE RPM CAUSED THE BATTERY AND ALTERNATOR TO MALFUNCTION. CAUSING LACK OF CONTROL OF VEHICLE.

THEIR EMAIL DATED 1/9/19 INDICATES MY COMPLAINT IS ABOUT "CAMPAIGN TXX7," AND THAT "WEAR OF THE COUPLING DOES NOT AFFECT THE ABILITY TO STEER OR CONTROL THE VEHICLE AND IS NOT A SAFETY ISSUE." MY MOTHER IN LAW ALSO HAS A 2013 ELANTRA WHERE THE PART AND LABOR WERE COVERED UNDER AN EXTENDED WARRANTY AND THE ISSUE IS WIDELY EFFECTING VEHICLES BASED ON A GOOGLE SEARCH. THEY WANT $125 TO LOOK AT MY VEHICLE AND I ADVISED THEM THEY SHOULD HAVE DONE A ROBO CALL TO POTENTIAL VICTIMS INFORMING OF THEM OF THIS WELL KNOWN ISSUE. THAT PROCESS WOULD HAVE COST THEM NOTHING. MY MOTHER IN LAW SPENT ABOUT $1,000 IN REPAIRS TO FIX THE ISSUE BEFORE MY CAR, SHORTLY THEREAFTER, HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND I GOOGLED IT LEARNING HOW PREVALENT IT IS. HER MECHANIC CALLED HYUNDAI WHO ACTED LIKE THEY HAVEN'T HEARD OF THE PROBLEM UNTIL THE EXTENDED WARRANTY WAS BROUGHT UP TO THEM. SHE WAS FEARFUL TO DRIVE HER VEHICLE AND BORROWED A CAR TO GO TO WORK WHILE SHE HAD THE WORN COUPLING ISSUE. HYUNDIA IS PUTTING PEOPLES' LIVES AT RISK DOWNPLAYING, NOT INFORMING, AND REFUSING TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE DEPTH OF THE PROBLEM. BOTH MY MOTHER IN LAWS CAR (NOW FIXED) AND NOW MINE, ARE DIFFICULT TO STEER WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED.
I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE BACK IN JANUARY OF 2019 & WHEN I PURCHASED IT THE STEERING WHEEL MADE A CLICKING SOUND. I MENTIONED IT TO THE CAR DEALER & WAS ASSURED IT WAS NOTHING. AFTER HAVING MY OIL CHANGED I WAS TOLD MY STEERING COLUMN NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THIS IS QUITE DISHEARTENING AS I HAVE HAD THE CAR FOR JUST ONE YEAR & A HALF AT THIS POINT. I WAS TOLD TO RESEARCH FOR RECALLS IN RELATION TO THIS PARTICULAR ISSUES AS IT HAS BEEN REPORTED FOR OTHER VEHICLES OF THE SAME MAKE, MODEL & YEAR. I AM AFRAID MY CAR STEERING WILL GO OUT WHILE DRIVING.

ENGINE TICKING NOISE. DEALER SAID METAL SHAVINGS IN ENGINE AND PISTONS KNOCKING. THEY SAID NEED NEW ENGINE. HAD REGULAR OIL CHANGES AND SERVICE.
AIR BAG DASHBOARD LIGHT AT FIRST WAS FLASHING AND NOW REMAINS ON SOLID EVERY TIME VEHICL IS STARTED. THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH SIMILAR MODELS FROM 2010 TO NOW. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE THAT SHOULD BE HANDLED AS A RECALL INSTEAD OF LEAVING THE CONSUMER TO ADDRESS THE PROBLEM.
THE STEERING COUPLER IN MY 2013 HYUNDAI ELANTRA WENT BAD AROUND 150,000 MILES... NOW THERE'S A CLICKING SOUND AND 'PLAY' IN THE STEERING WHEEL BECAUSE HYUNDAI USED AN INFERIOR PART. ONCE I STARTED RESEARCHING I REALIZED IT'S AN INCREDIBLY COMMON ISSUE THAT THE DEALERSHIP WANTS SEVERAL HUNDRED DOLLARS TO REPAIR. THIS SHOULD ABSOLUTELY BE REPAIRED UNDER A RECALL OR EXTENDED WARRANTY (WELL BEYOND THE 100K MARK) SINCE THIS IS NOT PART OF NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR OR ABUSE.
Steering column has clunking sound due to failed steering coupling adapter. This problem has been covered through recall in Elantra and Sonata sedans but not in Elantra coupes. SECURITY SYSTEM GOES OFF WHEN THE CAR IS LOCKED EVERY COUPLE HOURS NO ONE AROUND THE CAR. IF THE CAR IS LEFT UNLOCKED IT DOESN'T HAPPEN
I TRIED TO START MY 2013 HYUNDAI ELANTRA LIMITED. THE BRAKE PEDAL WOULD NOT DEPRESS AND THE CAR WOULD NOT START BUT MADE AN ELECTRONIC CLICKING NOISE. THIS HAS BEEN AN ISSUE FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS NOW BUT BECOMING MORE FREQUENT. IT HAS STRANDED ME AMD MY INFANT CHILDREN TWICE THIS PAST YEAR AND MYSELF TWICE. THE DEALER HAS MADE SUGGESTIONS BUT NONE WORK. LOOKED ONLINE AND HUNDREDS OF OTHER OWNERS OF ALL MODELS HAVING STARTING ISSUES. DON'T UNDERSTAND WHYISSUE HAS NOT BEEN RECALLED BUT I'M GOING TO HAVE TO TRADE MY CAR IN FOR NEW ONE AS I NEED RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION FOR MY CHILDREN. ALL INSTANCES OCCURRED AFTER VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN, PARKED AND STARTING ATTEMPTS. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS MATTER. NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO THE LABOR BILL TO REPAIR VEHICLE TO SAFELY MANEUVER THE DAILY FREEWAY TRAVELING CONDITION. THIS IS CLEARLY A SAFETY ISSUE THAT COULD POTENTIALLY COST LIVES AND NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED WITH THE MANUFACTURER.
2013 HYUNDAI ELANTRA, EVERY TIME I STEER TO THE LEFT OR RIGHT, THERE IS A LOT OF PLAY IN THE STEERING. IT MAKES A LOUD CLUNKING NOISE WHILE TURNING. THIS HAPPENS REGARDLESS OF THE VEHICLE BEING TURNED ON OR OFF AND IN ANY GEAR. I CONTACTED THE SERVICE DEPT OF THE HYUNDAI DEALER, THEY IMMEDIENTLY KNEW WHAT THE ISSUE WAS. HE SAID IT WAS MORE THAN LIKELY A STEERING CUPPLER AND/OR STEERING BUSHING. MY CAR IS A 2013 AND ONLY HAS 59K MILES. THIS IS VERY LITTLE. I HAVE DONE MY RESEARCH AND THERE ARE MORE THAN 120 COMPLAINTS WITH THE SAME ISSUE. THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN A RECALL ON THIS A LONG TIME AGO AS A STEERING PROBLEM IS A VERY SERIOUS ISSUE AND VERY DANGEROUS FOR ANYONE WITH THIS PROBLEM.
'TAKATA RECALL' I WAS DRIVING TO WORK ON THE HIGHWAY GOING 65 MPH AND LOST CONTROL OF MY VEHICLE. TO REGAIN CONTROL I HIT MY BRAKES AND CONTINUE MY JOURNEY TO WORK. WE BROUGHT THE CAR INTO THE DEALER AND WERE ADVISED IT WAS THE COUPLING. HYUNDAI RECALLED THE SONATA AND REPLACED THE COUPLING BUT DID NOT ISSUE A RECALL ON THE ELANTRA. THE COST TO REPLACE THIS DEFECTIVE PART $350.00
WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AT AROUND 65MPH, THE REAR PORTION OF THE PANORAMIC SUNROOF SUDDENLY SHATTERED. IT DID NOT APPEAR TO BE HIT BY ANYTHING, AND THERE WERE NO SIGNIFICANT BUMPS ON THE ROAD.
