MY 2012 SONTA HAS TWO CRACKS IN DASHBOARD. I HAD MY CAR AT DEALER FOR ALMOST A MONTH.WHEN I WENT TO THE DEALER TO PICK IT I NOTICED TWO CRACKS IN DASHBOARD. I QUESTIONED THE DEALER THEY DIDN'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED. THEY TOLD ME THEY LEFT MY CAR IN THE SUN.
BRAKES LIGHT STAY ON AFTER IGNITION TURNED OFF. CAR DE-ACCELERATE WHILE DRIVING ON EXPRESSWAY. *TR
MY CAR WILL NOT START. JUST BUY IT AND IT STALL AND WILL NOT CRACK OR START..CAN'T BE JUMPED EITHER.. ALL LIGHTS TURN ON. RADIO PLAYS .
THE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON (PROHIBITING MY AIRBAGS TO DEPLOY IF NEEDED) AND I HAVE NEVER BEEN IN ANY SORT OF ACCIDENT AND MAINTENANCE HAS ALWAYS BEEN KEPT UP WITH. I CALLED HYUNDAI AND THEY WANTED TO CHARGE A LARGE AMOUNT OF MONEY FOR SOMETHING THAT THEY HAVE A MONOPOLY ON THE REPAIRS BECAUSE NOBODY ELSE CAN GET THE PARTS. FROM LOOKING ONLINE THERE ARE NUMEROUS ISSUES WITH HYUNDAIS SRS. MANY RECALLS HAVE INCLUDED THE SEAT BELTS AND AIR BAGS. THERE SHOULDN'T BE ANY REASON THE AIR BAG LIGHT IS ON ON MY DASH BOARD OTHER THAN THAT IT IS A HYUNDAI ISSUE.
THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY OF OUR HOME AND HAS NOT BEEN DRIVEN FOR SEVERAL DAYS. TODAY, IT WAS NOTICED THAT THE SIDE PASSENGER AIRBAG FROM THE FRONT WINDOW COLUMN DEPLOYED ALL ON ITS OWN! THERE WAS NO ONE IN THE VEHICLE FORTUNATELY WHENEVER IT WENT OFF. *TR
AFTER HAVING TO HAVE MY ENGINE REPLACED DUE TO MY CRANK SHAFT GETTING CLOGGED WITH METAL PIECES ON THE HIGHWAY AND DESTROYING THE ENGINE. I'VE BEEN HAVING ISSUES WITH THE REPLACEMENT ENGINE FEELING LIKE IT'S STALLING OUT OR LOSING THROTTLE EITHER DURING A TURN OR SHORTLY AFTER. IT'S NEVER POPPED AND ERROR CODE AND ONLY HAPPENS NOW AND THEN. *TR
THE ABS LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON AND OFF. THE BRAKE LIGHTS WILL STAY ON. TODAY MY BRAKES JUST LOCKED UP AS I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. *TR
WHILE MAKING A RIGHT TURN ON A RESIDENTIAL STREET, THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED CAUSING ME TO HIT THE ONLY PARKED CAR THAT WAS 20 FT FROM THE CORNER. *TR
MY DRIVERS AIRBAG INSIDE OF THE STEERING WHEEL IS FAULTY. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AND THE STEERING WHEEL AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON. *TR
THE ENGINE WAS REPLACED IN 2018 ON OUR 2012 SONATA HYBRID UNDER WARRANTY DUE TO CONTAMINATION. MILEAGE WAS 82,,895. ON 5/9/2020 WHILE DRIVING HEARD LOUD KNOCKING/TAPPING NOISE (EXACTLY LIKE LAST TIME) ALONG WITH STRONG SMELL OF SOMETHING BURNING AND ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. NOISE CONTINUED TO GET LOUDER SO PULLED OVER AND HAD CAR TOWED TO HYUNDAI DEALER IN PENSACOLA, FL. WE WERE TOLD THE ENGINE WOULD NOT BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY AND COST TO US WOULD BE APPOX. $5,500 FOR A USED ENGINE WITH 98,000 MILES ON IT. WE NOW HAVE 107,000 MILES WHICH IS APPOX. 24,000 ON THE NEW ENGINE. UPON INVESTIGATION WE FOUND THAT 470,000 2011 & 2012 SONATAS WERE RECALLED ON SEPT. 2, 2015 AFTER NHTSA RAISED THE ISSUE OF ENGINE NOISE AND PROBLEMS. IT REPLACED ENGINES AND INCREASED THE WARRANTY TO 10 YRS OR 120,000 MILES. IN JANUARY 2019 100,000 OF THESE SAME ENGINES WERE RECALLED AGAIN DUE TO DAMAGED FUEL LINES CAUSED WHEN THE ENGINES WERE REPLACED DURING PREVIOUS RECALLS. HYUNDAI HAS DECLINED OUR REQUEST FOR THIS TO BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY BECAUSE THIS IS A HYBRID. OTHER SONATA HYBRID OWNERS HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. WE FAITHFULLY TAKE OUR CAR TO THE DEALER FOR ANY PROBLEMS AND OIL CHANGES AND HAVE ALL DOCUMENTATION IF NEEDED. WE WOULD VERY MUCH APPRECIATE ANY ASSISTANCE YOU CAN GIVE US. THANK YOU.
ABOUT 2+ MONTHS AGO, I HAD MY CAR SERVICED FOR BRAKES, OIL CHANGE, AND FILTERS. WITHIN A DAY OR TWO I NOTICED A CRACK ON MY DASHBOARD NEAR THE AIRBAG PASSENGER UNIT. THINKING IT WAS FLORIDA HEAT RELATED, I PAID IT NO ATTENTION. DURING THIS COVID PANDEMIC I NOW SEE THAT THE OTHER SIDE OF THE PASSENGER AIRBAG NOTATION ON THE DASHBOARD IS CRACKED AS WELL, AND THE LAST TIME MY HUSBAND AND I RAN AN ERRAND, THE AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT WENT ON. NOW I'M AFRAID TO USE THE CAR TO ANY EXTENT EXCEPT AROUND TOWN FOR SHORT ERRANDS AND WAS WONDERING WHAT I SHOULD DO. THE RECALL NUMBER 174 SHOWS NO OPEN RECALLS ON THIS ISSUE...HOWEVER....ALL RECEIPTS I HAVE SINCE I'VE OWNED THIS VEHICLE DO NOT SHOW IT HAVING BEEN REPAIRED. I SEE THAT THE INITIAL REPORT OF THE RECALL (NOT REMEDY) WAS INCORPORATED INTO THE SEAT BELT ISSUE, HOWEVER, THE REMEDY NOTICE IS THE ONE I HAVE NO RECORD OF HAVING BEEN REPAIRED. THE DEALER HAS RECOMMENDED OTHER WORK BE DONE ON THE VEHICLE EACH TIME I'VE BROUGHT IT IN FOR A RECALL ITEM (??)! *TR
STEERING WHEEL NOISE MAKING A CLICKING NOISE WHEN TURNING FROM LEFT TO RIGHT.
I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT ISSUES WITH THE VEHICLE ALSO THE HYUNDAI DEALERSHIP. I HAVE TAKEN MY CAR IN 5 OR MORE TIMES BECAUSE OF ISSUES. THE MOST RECENT BECAUSE OF A CONTINUOUS INCIDENT OF LOSS OF POWER DURING COMMUTE. MY CAR LOST POWER FROM THE TURBO. SOUNDS LIKE ITS DYING OUT AND STRUGGLES TO STAY ON.. DEALERSHIPS NUMBER ONE STATED BECAUSE OF TURBO FAILED SO ITS NOT COVERED BECAUSE IT IS NOT PART OF THE ENGINE. THEN THE SECOND DEALER TOLD ME ITS THE WASTE GATE SO ITS NOT COVERED BECAUSE IT IS NOT APART OF THE INTERNAL ENGINE. SAID THAT IS WOULD COST MORE THAN 2,000 TO FIX AND MY CAR BARELY 9 YEARS OLD...... SO I DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO FIX THE CAR THE DEALERSHIP ALLOWED ME TO DRIVE AWAY IN A DANGEROUS DEATH TRAP AND NOTHING FIXED. THATS JUST ONE ISSUE AMONGST A TON OF RECALLS THAT APPARENTLY DO NOT AFFECT MY CAR.

HAVING PURCHASED THE AFOREMENTIONED VIN LAST MONTH, THE BREAK LIGHTS STAY ON EVEN THO THE CAR IS OFF, THUS DRAINING THE BATTERY. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 HYUNDAI SONATA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING, THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO COAST TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND UPON EXITING NOTICED SMOKE COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD. THE CONTACT OPENED THE HOOD AND FIRE WAS SEEN. THE FIRE WAS EXTINGUISHED BY A HOME OWNER WITH A GARDEN HOSE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THEY WOULD HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED A DEALER FOR A FAILURE DIAGNOSES. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE WAS STILL AWAITING THE MANUFACTURER TOW AS HIS INSURANCE COMPANY HAS NOT INSPECTED THE VEHICLE YET. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 78,000.
THE VEHICLE DOES NOT START AS IT DOESN'T RECOGNIZE THE KEY FOB. MY DAUGHTERS AND WIFE HAVE BEEN STRANDED ON DIFFERENT OCCASIONS AS THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO START THE CAR. SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THE ELECTRICAL AS THE ENGINE DOES NOT RECOGNIZE THE KEY. I AM SCARED TO TAKE THE CAR ON LONG TRIPS AS THIS HAPPENS FREQUENTLY AND IT CAN TAKE UP TO 20 ATTEMPTS BEFORE THE ENGINE STARTS. PLEASE HELP!!

MY VEHICLE WAS WELL KEPT. IT HAD TWO ACCIDENTS WHICH WERE NOT MY FAULT BUT DIDN'T INVOLVE THE SUSPENSION. THIS WEEK THE COIL SPRING SNAPPED ON ONE SIDE AND IS GOING TO BREAK ON THE OTHER ACCORDING TO THE REPAIR SHOP THEY SAY IT'S DUE TO STRUTS BEING UNDER STRESS. THE LOCAL HYUNDAI DEALERSHIP THOUGHT THERE IS A RECALL ON THIS? THE CAR HAS HAD ALL OF ITS ROUTINE SERVICE AND RECALLS REPAIRED. IS THERE ANY THING I CAN DO?
ON SUNDAY MARCH 29,2020, THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION ON A CITY STREET, MY WIFE WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE TO HER DAUGHTER'S HOUSE. A KNOCKING NOISE FROM THE ENGINE AND ILLUMINATION OF THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HAPPENED. THE VEHICLE THEN STALLED AND THE ENGINE WENT DEAD. IT DID NOT RESPOND AT ALL TO START IT. IT WAS TOWED TO MY WIFE'S DAUGHTER'S HOUSE BY A FRIEND OF MINE WITH A STRAP TO PULL A VEHICLE. THE DISTANCE TO HER HOUSE WAS ABOUT A QUARTER OF A MILE. THE NEXT DAY ON 03/30/2020 I WENT TO GO CHECK ON IT TO SEE WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS. THERE WAS NO RESPONSE ON THE ENGINE. ON 03/31/2020 I CONTACTED ALLSTATE, MY INSURANCE COMPANY AND THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED BY A WRECKER TO AN AUTO ELECTRIC BUSINESS. ON 04/02/2020 THE MECHANIC SAID I NEEDED A NEW MOTOR, THE ENGINE WAS LOCKED. THAT SAME DAY ALLSTATE TOWED IT TO A MECHANIC. ON 04/03/2020 THE MECHANIC CALLED ME AND SAID THE ENGINE WAS LOCKED AND NOT RESPONDING. HE SAID I NEEDED A NEW MOTOR OR A USED ONE. I THEN LEFT IT THERE UNTIL I RESEARCHED ANY RECALLS ON THIS MAKE AND MODEL. ON 04/08/2020 I FOUND A WEBSITE THAT IS AUTOSERVICE. HYUNDAIUSA.COM AND IT DID SAY MY WIFE'S VEHICLE WAS AFFECTED. I REQUEST A RECALL ON THIS MAKE AND MODEL ON THE ENGINE TO BE INSPECTED BY A HYUNDAI DEALER. MY COMPLAINT AS A BUYER ON THIS VEHICLE IS THAT WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED OF THIS PROBLEM OF METAL DEBRIS GENERATED ON THE MANUFACTURING OF THE ENGINE. THESE ENGINES WERE MANUFACTURED AT HYUNDAI MOTOR MANUFACTURING ALABAMA.
BRAKE LIGHTS WILL NOT TURN OFF, CAUSING OTHER DRIVERS TO THINK I HAVE MY FOOT ON THE BRAKES. ALSO, THEY DO NOT TURN OFF AFTER I PARK THE CAR AND REMOVE THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION. I HAVE LOOKED THIS UP AND IT IS A MAJOR COMPLAINT, BUT NO RECALL ON MY VEHICLE. THERE WAS A RECALL IN JAN OF 2016, BUT NOT ON MY CAR. IT WAS FOR THE BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH PLUNGER. *TR
STEERING WHEEL CLICKS CONSTANTLY AND DRIVE SHAFT GIGGLES AND MAKES LOUD CLUCKING NOISES, ESPECIALLY ON ROUGH TERRAIN IT FEELS LIKE THE STEERING WHEEL IS GOING TO SNAP AND I LOOSE ALL STEERING AND CONTROL OF VEHICLE. I WENT TO GET IT FIXED AND THE MECHANIC STATED HE COULDN'T DUE TO THE SEVERITY OF IT.
THE SOCKET ON EITHER TAILLIGHTS HAS COMPLETELY BURNED OUT CREATING A MULTITUDE OF SAFETY HAZARDS, INCLUDING A FIRE HAZARD. WHEN ATTEMPTING TO OPERATE THE BREAK, NEITHER TAIL LIGHT WILL ILLUMINATE.
MY AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON RANDOMLY ONE NIGHT AND WILL NOT GO OFF, IT WILL FLICKER ON AND OFF BUT EVENTUALLY JUST STAYS ON. THIS HAPPENED A FEW NIGHTS AGO. I NOTICED IT ONCE I PARKED AT HOME. THIS MORNING WHEN I CRUNK THE CAR, IT WAS ON AND THEN WENT OFF AND CAME ON EVERY TIME I TURNED MY STEERING WHEEL UNTIL IT JUST STAYED ON FOR THE REMAINDER OF MY DRIVE. ALSO THE INTERIOR LIGHTS STAY ON UNLESS I HAVE THEM TURNED OFF (IF THEY ARE SET TO COME ON WITH 'DOOR OPEN' THEY STAY ON INDEFINITELY)

THE CONTACT LINKED THE FAILURE TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V934000 (ENGINE, FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 150,000.

THERE WAS ALSO AN ODOR OF BURNING PLASTIC. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE RESIDENCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000.

I AM CONTACTING YOU REGARDING THE FOLLOWING RECALLS, PART 573 SAFETY RECALL REPORT 17V-226 AND 15V-568 AFTER VISITING HYUNDAI DEALERSHIP TWICE, MY CAR STILL HAS KNOCKING NOISE FROM THE ENGINE, AND THE LAST MONTH MY CAR ENGINE CAUGHT FIRE
I NEVER HAD A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON MY VEHICLE BUT WHILE I WAS DRIVING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD THE VEHICLE ENGINE SHUT OFF. I RECENTLY GOT MY OIL CHANGED..
EPS LIGHT CAME ON WHILE I WAS DRIVING AND NOW THE STEERING WHEEL LOCK UP ON ME NOW I CANTSEI
Hyundai recall 198 was received after my engine was replaced. I started the reimbursement process with Hyundai 05/28/2021 at www.HyundaiUSA.com/Campaign198. On 11/15/2021 my reimbursement request was denied. I never received any notification about this. I only found out in early December 2021 when I checked the above website. After several subsequent communications with Hyundai, the claim was reinstated. Eventually, my claim was approved in April 2022. Per an email dated 04/12/2022, the claim was supposedly submitted for payment. I had my vehicle inspected at a Hyundai Dealer per their 03/08/2022 email. On 06/08/2022, Hyundai then requested proof of payment. I did make a partial payment of $2128.65 on 03/25/2020. Proof provided. I can't obtain any further proof of payment because I since had closed this account. Recently I requested help from the Minnesota Attorney Generals office. Hyundai responded on 10/10/2022. They won't make any payment without payment proof. I've tried doing everything Hyundai has requested yet is is never enough. I provided the repair invoice. I provided proof of inspections at a Hyundai dealer. PLEASE HELP ME. I've been dealing with this for a year and 9 months. I have endured so so much during this process. I wonder how many other Hyundai owners have been put through the hell I've had to deal with. I just want to be paid and put this horrific mater behind me once and for all. PS: This replacement engine failed me again on 05/19/2022. Hyundai has basically ruined me financially. I think they should be punished somehow.
THE STEERING WHEEL MAKES A CLICKING SOUND WHEN TURNING LEFT AND RIGHT. IT GETS WORSE AS YOU ACCELERATE IN SPEED. FEELS LIKE THE STEERING WHEEL IS GOING TO FALL OFF. WHEN THE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY YOU CAN TURN THE WHEEL LEFT OR RIGHT AND STILL HEAR THE CLICKING SOUND.
YOU CAN ADD MY SONATA TO THE LIST OF BLOWN ENGINE.ITS IN THE SHOP NOW HAVING THE ENGINE REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY ONLY 73,000 + MILES ON IT ALWAYS USED MOBIL ONE.OIL AT AROUND 7,000 MILE INTERVALS. WAS JUST RETURNING HOME GETTING OFF FREEWAY RUNNING AROUND 70MPH SLOWED DOWN FOR CURVE IN SIDE ROAD TO ABOUT 45MPH . ACCELERATED AND ENGINE QUIT SHUTTERED AND VIBRATED. I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE ABOUT A MILE ON THE BATTERY TO GET OFF THE ROAD SAFELY WHEN TO BATTERY RAN OUT..
WHILE OWNING MY VEHICLE FOR 5 YEARS, I HAVE REGULARLY MAINTAINED ALL ASPECTS OF THE CAR FROM OIL CHANGES EVERY 3000 MILES TO RECALL NOTICES. I WAS JUST DUE FOR A 3000 MILE OIL CHANGE WHEN WHILE DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY THE CAR SHUT DOWN THE GAS PEDAL STOPPED, AND I ASSUMED THE ALTERNATOR DIED. I GOT IT TOWED AND MECHANIC SAID THE ENGINE IS DONE, THERE IS NO OIL! THIS CAME AS A SHOCK SINCE I HAVE IT CHANGED TIMELY AND THERE WAS NO SENSOR OR LIGHT IN THE CAR THAT SHOULD HAVE INDICATED LOW OIL. I READ ON CARGURU WEBSITE WITH OTHER REVIEWS THIS HAPPENED WITH THE SAME VEHICLE MODEL. VERY DISAPPOINTING WITH THIS CAR WITH LOW MILEAGE TO HAVE TO REPLACE AN ENGINE SO SOON.
WHEN I GOT THIS CAR, I NOTICED THAT THE COOLANT CONTAINER DOESNT STAY FULL. IN FACT, I HAVE TO GO TO WALMART TO BY COLLANT AND FILL THE CONTAINER EVERY WEEK. I NOTICED THERE IS A LEAK AS WELL AND ITS SPRAYING ALL OVER THE MOTOR AND BATTERY. ALDO AFTER DRIVING FOR HOURS, I'M ABLE TO OPEN THE CAP TO THE COLLANT CONTAINER WITH NO ISSUES. IT'S NOT HOT OR ANYTHING. NOT SURE WHAT'S GOING ON WITH THIS CAR AND DINT WANT GO SPEND HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS JUST FOR SOMEONE TO LOOK AT IT.
STEERING WHEEL STARTED "STICKING" AS YOUR GOING STRAIT. IT IS NOTICEABLE AT SLOW SPEEDS AND DANGEROUS AT HIGH SPEEDS WHERE IT IS EASY TO OVER-CORRECT STEERING. BEEN READING REVIEWS OF COMMON USER COMPLAINTS BUT DO NOT SEE ANY RECALLS AS OF YET. OPENED CASE WITH HYUNDAI MOTOR AMERICA CASE#: 16870224 - WAS ASKED TO GO TO DEALER TO HAVE CHECKED OUT.
THE BRAKE SOCKETS ARE BURNT AND LIGHTBULBS ARE MELTING. MY BRAKE LIGHT CONTINUES TO GO OUT.
ENGINE STARTED RATTLING WHILE IDLING. SOUNDED LIKE THERE WAS SOMETHING LOSE IN THE ENGINE. LOOKED UP THE VIN AND DISCOVERED THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THAT PROBLEM WITH HYUNDAI. HAVENT USED THE CAR SINCE. IT HAD BEEN PARKED. FAST FORWARD TO TODAY 5/3/2020 AND DISCOVERED THAT THE RECALL WAS GONE.
CONTINUED ISSUES SINCE DAY ONE OF OWNERSHIP OF VEHICLE WITH REAR BREAK LIGHTS CONSTANTLY BURNING OUT AND BULBS MELTING WHERE THERE TO BE INSTALLED. CAUSING ISSUES WITH REPLACING NEW BULBS ALL TOGETHER AND UNABLE TO TWIST IN/OUT OF REPLACEMENT BULBS. PREVENTING NEW BULBS FROM BEING ABLE TO BE REPLACED.
THE SEAT BELTS ARE NOT LOCKING INTO PLACE
MY CAR STALLS, LAGS AND SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING AND HAS A STRONG SCENT OF EXHAUST AND USES AN AWFUL AMOUNT OF OIL BUT THERE ARE NO VISIBLE OIL LEAKS. THERE ARE NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS ON. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE MUFFLER SHOP WHO STATES NO EXHAUST LEAKS ARE FOUND. MY LOCAL GATEWAY AND MIKE MORGAN HYUANDI SAYS IT THROWS NO CODES WHEN PUT ON THE DIAGNOSTIC MACHINE SO I CANT FIND OUT THE ISSUE. FROM RESEARCH I SEE THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE WITH THIS MODEL CARS AND I FEEL THIS SHOULD BE LOOKED INTO BECAUSE IT IS A HAZARD ESPECIALLY WHEN IT KILLS IN THE MIDST OF TRAFFIC
MY WIRING HARNESS ON BOTH THE FRONT AND BACK HEADLIGHTS AND TAILLIGHTS KEEPS BURNING. I HAVE REPLACED THE DRIVER HEADLIGHT, AND ALL BULBS ALL AROUND THE CAR. IVE EVEN CHANGED OUT THE CONNECTOR ON THE BULB OF THE HEADLIGHTS AND NO MATTER WHAT I DO THE WIRE ON THE WIRING HARNESS KEEPS BURNING AND WHEN I USE THE TURN SIGNAL SOMETIMES ALL THE LIGHTING IN MY CAR BLINKS

THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER RETURNING FROM (PRESTON HYUNDAI 4327 PRESTON RD, HURLOCK, MD 21643) FOR AN OIL CHANGE, THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL SOUND COMING FROM UNDER THE DRIVER'S SEAT. THE CONTACT INVESTIGATED AND BECAME AWARE THAT THE PLASTIC UNDERNEATH THE DRIVER'S SEAT DETACHED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SEAT BECAME UNSTEADY WHICH MADE DRIVING THE VEHICLE DIFFICULT. NEITHER THE DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 49,801.
200,000 MILES. AT SPEEDS ABOVE 25 MPH THE STEERING WHEEL " CHATTERS IN A SIDEWAYS MOTION. AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS IF YOU PUT A LITTLE SIDEWAYS STEERING PRESSURE ON THE WHEEL AND THEN LET GO, IT JUMPS ALL AROUND. TIE RODS AND RACK/PINION HAVE BEEN RULED OUT AS THE CAUSE BY MICHIGAN STATE CERTIFIED AND LICENSED MECHANICS.
HEAD LIGHTS AND TAIL LIGHTS CONSISTENTLY BURN OUT, REAR TAIL LAMPS CAUSED MELTING OF THE ASSEMBLY ON BOTH SIDES NEAR WHERE THE SOCKET GOES. RECTIFIED REAR LAMP ISSUE USING LOWER WATTAGE LEDS, NOT A SOLUTION FOR THIS BUT A BAND AID. CAR AUTOMATIC LOCKS HAVE CEASED WORKING, FAN ASSEMBLY CUT ON AND OFF CAUSING FAILURE OF RADIATOR. BUTTONS ON STEERING WHEEL ACTIVATE WRONG SETTINGS OFTEN WHEN USED. HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP STOPPED FUNCTIONING, ONLY LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM REMAINS. ALL PROBLEMS LISTED HAPPEN INTERMITTENTLY EITHER MOVING OR STATIONARY.
MY AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON HAVE HAD NO ACCIDENTS AND ON THE STEERING WHEEL IT'S SEEMS TO BE OPEN ON ITS OWN A LITTLE BIT COULD I DRIVE MY CAR THIS WAY? I WAS JUST ROUTINELY DRIVING MY CAR THE LIGHT CAME ON WENT OFF CAME BACK ON AND IT'S STILL ON IT'S BEEN A WEEK NOW
AFTER A NEW ENGINE WAS PUT INTO THE SONATA DUE TO RECALL , WITHIN 24 HOURS THE CAR CAUGHT FIRE AND WAS DESTROYED. THE CAR WAS BEING DRIVEN ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN CATCHING FIRE CAUSING DRIVER TO ABANDON VEHICLE ON HIGH WAY FOR FIRE DEPARTMENT.
