I WAS AT A STOP LIGHT AND MY AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON AND WON'T GO OFF. THE CAR HAS NOT BEEN IN ANY ACCIDENTS. THE CAR IS ONLY 5 YEARS OLD. I'M WORRIED THE AIRBAGS WON'T INFLATE IF I AM EVER IN AN ACCIDENT. 5 YEARS IS TOO EARLY FOR SENSORS TO WEAR OUT.
THE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON, ON THE DASHBOARD WE CHECKED THE FUSES THEY ARE GOOD. CALLED THE DEALERSHIP ABOUT THE RECALL NEVER GOT A CALL BACK. HAVE A I/P BRAKE LIGHT ON THE DASHBOARD WHEN WE TOOK OUR CAR IN FOR RECALLS TOLD THEM ABOUT THE LIGHT THEY LOOKED AT MY TAIL LIGHTS. WE HAVE THE BRAKE RUBBER PIECE REPLACED UNDER LIFE TIME WARRANTY THAT WENT OUT BUT THEY DIDN'T LOOK AT THAT. THE EMISSIONS HAS BEEN A PROBLEM AS WELL. THE STEERING POPS WHILE DRIVING THIS WE HAVE HAD HYUNDIA LOOK AT THEY SAID THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH CAR. INSIDE LIGHTS THERE IS FAULT THERE THEY WON'T GO OFF SO YOU HAVE TO KEEP IN OFF MODE NO DOOR MODE. DEALSHIP SAID IT WOULD COST ME TO FIX. ONGOING SINCE A YEAR AFTER WE BOUGHT THE CAR.
STEERING WHEEL HAS PLAN, SHAKES AND MAKES LOUD NOISES WHEN DRIVING ON BUMPY HYWAYS AND CAUSES MANY STEERING CORRECTIONS WHILD DRIVING
POPPING NOISE WHEN TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL LEFT OR RIGHT WHILE THE CAR IS IN MOTION ESPECIALLY IN A TIGHT MANEUVER WHEN PARKING OR BACKING UP. AFTER READING ABOUT MANY COMPLAINTS ON THE INTERNET WHERE SOME DRIVERS HAVE EVEN LOST T;HEIR POWER STEERING COMPLETELY, I AM OF THE OPINION THAT A RECALL IS WARRANTED AS THIS IS DEFINITELY A SAFETY ISSUE. THE CULPRIT IN MOST OF THE COMPLAINTS SEEMS TO BE AN INEXPENSIVE PART MADE OF RUBBER OR NEOPRENE CALLED A "FLEXIBLE MOTOR DRIVEN POWER STEERING COUPLING". AS THIS PART BEGINS TO FAIL, SERIOUS STEERING PROBLEMS BEGIN TO APPEAR WHICH COULD LEAD TO INJURY OR EVEN DEATH.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT 70 MPH, THE PANORAMIC SUNROOF ON THE VEHICLE SPONTANEOUSLY SHATTERED WITH A LOUD SOUND, AND GLASS CAME SHOWERING INTO THE CABIN. THE VEHICLE IMMEDIATELY BEHIND ME WITNESSED THE EVENT AND SOME OF THE GLASS HIT HIS VEHICLE AT HIGH SPEED. WE BOTH PULLED TO THE SHOULDER AND EXCHANGED CONTACT INFORMATION. HE WITNESSED THAT NO OBJECT HIT MY SUNROOF, IT SIMPLY SHATTERED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 HYUNDAI SONATA. WHILE RELEASING THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE BRAKE LIGHTS REMAINED ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT ALSO INDICATED THAT THE BRAKES WOULD REMAIN ACTIVATED WHILE THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS NOT BEING PRESSED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE BRAKE PEDAL STOPPER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V759000 (SERVICE BRAKES). THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED THE SAME FAILURE LISTED IN THE RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000.
I AM THE OWNER OF A 2012 HYUNDAI SONATA 2.0T. WE'VE HAD THE VEHICLE FOR ALMOST FIVE YEARS, AND ABOUT SIX MONTHS AGO, WE STARTING NOTICING A "CLICKING" SOUND IN THE STEERING WHEEL COLUMN. WHAT MAKES IT EVEN MORE ALARMING IS THAT THE LOUD CLICKING SOUND HAPPENS WHILE DRIVING AND WHILE HITTING ANY BUMP ON THE ROAD. THIS IS DEFINITELY VERY ALARMING, ESPECIALLY AFTER INVESTIGATING AND FINDING OUT THAT THERE ARE A TON OF COMPLAINTS FOR THE SAME IN THIS 2012 VEHICLE, AS WELL AS EARLIER MODELS. THE CONCLUSION APPEARS TO BE THE STEERING COUPLING (A RUBBER), WHERE THERE WAS ALREADY A RECALL FOR OLDER MODELS BUT NOT THIS 2012 HYUNDAI SONATA. THIS IS VERY CONCERNING AS MY ENTIRE FAMILY IS AT RISK OF A CAR ACCIDENT, INCLUDING TWO SMALL CHILDREN. PLEASE INVESTIGATE AND/OR HAVE A RECALL FOR WHAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIXED ALREADY ON NEWER MODELS. THIS IS VERY URGENT.
LEFT REAR LIGHTING ASSEMBLY MELTED DUE TO REAR LIGHT BULB POSSIBLY SHORTING OUT OR OVER HEATING. IT CAUSED ENOUGH HEAT FOR THE BULB TO BECOME LODGED AND STUCK INTO THE ASSEMBLY DUE TO THE BULB ASSEMBLY MELTING AROUND IT. THIS IS A POTENTIAL FIRE HAZARD THAT COULD IGNITE THE PLASTIC CAUSING A FIRE IN THE TRUNK. WE ARE ASSUMING THAT THE CAR WAS RUNNING. THE BULB THAT BURNT OUT WAS BLACKEN DUE TO THE HEAT.
THE STEERING WHEEL MAKES A LOUD CLUCKING NOISE WHEN TURNING LEFT AND RIGHT, WHILE DRIVING AND WHILE STATIONARY. THE STEERING WHEEL ALSO SHAKES WHEN DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND FEELS LOOSE LIKE IT WILL COME OFF.
WE HAVE A 2012 HYUNDAI SONATA, BOUGHT NEW, AND NOW WITH VERY LOW MILEAGE...LESS THAN 13,000 MILES AS OF FEBRUARY, 2017. ORIGINAL TIRES ARE KUMHO P205/65R16. THE LEFT FRONT TIRE CONSISTENTLY LOSES AIR PRESSURE WHEN GARAGED. TOOK ONLY A FEW DAYS TO GO FROM 33 PSI TO 24. THIS TIRE HAS TO BE RE-INFLATED AT LEAST EACH WEEK. CAR WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL HYUNDAI DEALERSHIP, TIRES WERE INSPECTED, AND REPORTED AS HAVING NO PROBLEMS. CAR WAS TAKEN BACK TO THIS DEALERSHIP FEW DAYS AGO. SERVICE ADVISOR WAS SYMPATHETIC BUT OFFERED NO HELP. SMILED, THEN WALKED AWAY. WILL NOW BE TAKING THE CAR TO A TIRE OUTLET, AT OUR EXPENSE, FOR YET ANOTHER TIRE INSPECTION. WE FEEL THAT THESE KUMHO TIRES MAY BE UNSAFE. WE MAY END UP REPLACING THEM WITH A MORE SUPERIOR BRAND TIRE AND / OR SELLING THE CAR.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND A LOCAL DEALER (ANTWERPEN HYUNDAI, 6440 BALTIMORE NATIONAL PIKE, CATONSVILLE, MD 21228) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL LEVEL SENDING UNIT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 94,000.
THE STEERING WHEEL COLUMN ON MY VEHICLE CONSTANTLY CLICKS. THIS IS A EXTENDED WARRANTY CAMPAIGN WITH HYUNDAI HOWEVER THEY REFUSE TO FIX IT. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A DEALERSHIP IN RICHMOND, VA IN JANUARY 2017 AND THEY TOLD ME WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS AND GAVE ME A QUOTE TO FIX IT OF $800. THIS WAS BEFORE THE VEHICLE HIT 100,000 MILES AND THE WARRANTY CAMPAIGN WAS RELEASED. WHEN I TOOK IT BACK IN OCTOBER BECAUSE I COULDN'T STAND IT ANYMORE, HYUNDAI REFUSED TO FIX IT AS IT WAS AT 106,000 MILES. THEY NEVER DOCUMENTED THE ISSUE IN JANUARY. NOW THE VEHICLE HAS FAILED ITS INSPECTION, EVEN THOUGH HYUNDAI TOLD ME IT WAS NOT A SAFETY ISSUE.
THE SRS LIGHT ON THE DASH TURNED 'ON' AND DISABLED THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIRBAG. MOST LIKELY CAUSED BY A DEFECTIVE CLOCK SPRING IN THE STEERING COLUMN.
75,000 MILES , HYUNDAI DEALERSHIP INFORMING ME I HAVE A CLICKING NOISE WHEN TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL. APPARENTLY IT IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH A PLASTIC SPIDER GEAR AND DEALERSHIP WANTS $489 TO REPLACE. CAR COULD LOSE STEERING CONTROL. I SEE ON THE INTERNET THIS IS A WIDELY REPORTED ISSUE BUT NO RECALLS?
THE STEERING WHEEL IS MAKING A CLICKING SOUND AND HAS A LITTLE SLACK IN IT. I TOOK IT TO A LOCAL REPAIR SHOP THEY SENT ME TO THE DEALER SAYING THAT HE SEEN SO MANY OF THEM HE KNOWS IT HAS TO BE A RECALL BY NOW AND THAT THEY SHOULD TAKE CARE OF THE COST. MY HUSBAND CALLED NISSAN'S COMPLAINT CENTER AND THEY MADE ARRANGEMENTS FOR ME TO HAVE A LOANER CAR. I WAS TO BRING THE CAR IN TO BE LOOKED AT THE FOLLOWING MORNING AT 7:30 WHEN I ARRIVED I WAS SUPPOSED TO SEE A WOMAN NAME HOLLY SHE WAS VERY RUDE SHE TOLD ME THAT SHE WASN'T GIVING ME A LOANER BECAUSE IT'S NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY AND THEN I'D HAVE TO PAY FULL PRICE FOR THE REPAIR WHICH IS $180 MORE THAN WHAT I WAS QUOTED AT THE LOCAL CAR PAIR SHOP. I WAS TOLD BY A FEW HYUNDAI OWNERS THAT IT WAS A RECALL ITEM HOWEVER IT WAS ON 2011 I BELIEVE THAT THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL ITEM ON 2012 AS WELL. THIS PROBLEM HAPPENS ON THE HIGHWAY I'M JUST LOCAL STREETS EVERY TIME YOU HIT A BUMP IT HAS A TERRIBLE RATTLE I BELIEVE IT'S ON SAFE JUST A MATTER TIME THAT THE POWER STEERING IS GOING TO GO OUT AND I THINK THAT THEY NEED TO MAKE THE REPAIR. THE CAR SUDDENLY TURNED 'OFF', LOST PROPULSION AND CAME TO A STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. THE DASHBOARD GAS GAUGE SHOWED APPROXIMATELY ONE QUARTER OF A TANK OF GAS BUT IT TURNS OUT THE TANK WAS EMPTY. THE LIKELY CAUSE IS A DEFECTIVE GAUGE IN THE GAS TANK.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO WEST BROAD HYUNDAI (8903 W BROAD ST, RICHMOND, VA 23294) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL COUPLING WAS FRACTURED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT RECEIVED AN EXTENDED WARRANTY NOTICE FOR A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 10110922 (STEERING, EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE); HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE WAS UNQUALIFIED DUE TO THE MILEAGE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND CONFIRMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS UNABLE TO BE REPAIRED PER THE TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 106,000. *TT
THE STEERING WHEEL COLUMN MAKES A LOUD CLICKING NOISE WHEN YOU TURN IT TO THE WHEEL LEFT AND TO THE RIGHT. ALSO WHEN GOING OVER BUMPS THE STEERING COLUMN MAKES THE SAME LOUD NOISE. CLUNKING SOUND BEGAN TO COME FROM THE STEERING WHEEL AT LOW SPEEDS WHICH JUST KEPT GETTING WORSE. AFTER ABOUT A MONTH THE STEERING BECAME LOOSE AND IT FEELS LIKE SOMETHING IS GRINDING INSIDE THE COLUMN. TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID IT WOULD BE $120 JUST TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. A SIMPLE GOOGLE SEARCH TURNED UP THE PROBLEM IS EXTREMELY COMMON WITH SONATAS AND IS THIS LITTLE THREE DOLLAR PLASTIC WHEEL THAT APPARENTLY GRINDS UP AND FALLS APART. THE DEALERSHIP STILL WANTED $120 TO DIAGNOSE WAS WAS WRONG DESPITE ME TELLING THEM AND THEN WANTED $360 TO FIX THE PROBLEM. THE CAR HAS ONLY 49,000 MILES ON IT BUT IS FOUR MONTHS OUTSIDE WARRANTY. THE DEALERSHIP DID AGREE TO SELL ME THE THREE DOLLAR PLASTIC WHEEL THING BUT WHEN I ASKED IF THEY MADE ONE OUT OF METAL OR SOMETHING THAT WON'T BREAK THEY APPARENTLY DO NOT. I GUESS I CAN HAVE A SHOP PUT THE NEW WHEEL IN BUT I WILL JUST HAVE TO KEEP REPLACING IT SINCE ITS THE SAME CHEAP PLASTIC AND WILL BE GROUND UP BY NORMAL USE AND LEAVE ME WITH AN UNSAFE, CLUNKING AND LOOSE STEERING WHEEL.
WHEN THE HEADLIGHTS ARE IN USE, THE CAR RANDOMLY LOSES POWER, HEADLIGHTS TURN OFF, ENTIRE CAR JUST SHUTS DOWN WITHOUT WARNING, THEN AFTER SEVERAL SECONDS, POWERS BACK ON. THE LIGHTS, ENGINE, EVERYTHING TURNS OFF. ALSO, WHEN HEADLIGHTS ARE IN USE, CRUISE CONTROL AND STABILITY DO NOT WORK. THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION AND THIS HAS HAPPENED ON HIGHWAYS AND CITY STREETS. I HAVE TAKEN MY VEHICLE TO THE TWO NEAREST DEALERS AND THEY REFUSED TO FIX THE VEHICLE. GENERALLY, THIS HAPPENS WHEN BRAKING, USING TURN SIGNALS, CHANGING TO HI BEAM/LOW BEAM, BUT HAS ALSO HAPPENED FOR NO REASON AT ALL.

I HAVE A 2012 HYUNDAI SONATA GLS. WHEN I GOT READY TO CUT OFF MY CAR IT CUT OFF BUT I COULDNT TAKE THE KEY OUT IT WAS STUCK AND PLUS WHEN THE KEY IS IN ACC POSITION I CAN MOVE GEARSHIFT FROM PARK TO DRIVE BUT ITS NOT SUPPOSE TO DO THAT. HOPEFULLY THEY WILL RECALL THIS OR SOMETHING.
I LOST POWER STEERING WHEN I WAS PULLING INTO HIGHWAY TRAFFIC FROM A GAS STATION AND ALMOST HIT CARS IN THE PARALLEL LANES BECAUSE I COULDN'T TURN QUICKLY ENOUGH. THE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED JUST PRIOR TO LOSING POWER STEERING.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 HYUNDAI SONATA. AFTER THE CONTACT'S FOOT WAS REMOVED FROM THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED UNINTENDED ACCELERATION THAT RESULTED IN A FRONT END COLLISION. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 25,656.
STARTED CAR ON MORNING OF 12/15 2016, EPS LIGHT CAME ON AND STAYED ON. ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING NOT WORKING AT ALL, EVEN AFTER CAR WAS COMPLETELY WARMED UP.. COULD NOT EVEN STEER ENOUGH TO BACK THE CAR OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY. COULD NOT EVEN GET TO ROAD TO TRY TO DRIVE DOWN STREET. HAD CAR 4 YEARS 11 MONTHS, 59600 MILES. TRYING TO DRIVE WITHOUT EPS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS.

My 2012 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid has not had any resolution after the motor seized in 2016. The dealership service department said the motor needed to be replaced in 2016 but refused to honor the warranty. I drove the car part way home when the motor seized on the highway. At that time I made multiple attempts for Hyundai to honor the warranty. The Sonata had 58,708 miles on it. It had to be towed has been in storage since that time. Hyundai since has placed a recall on the motor. The Hyundai customer care center is refusing to cover the cost of towing and loaner vehicle while ‘they check it out to see if it covered under the recall’. I would like to know what rights I have? Will I need to initiate a law suit to get resolution? My VIN indicates it is included in the recall. I contacted a Hyundai dealership who stated they would get back with me also. They also have not contacted me to date. Six years has passed and Hyundai has been fined billions according to your website yet they do not respond in any reasonable fashion. Do have have any information about what they are required to do for someone in my position? It has been pointed out to me that many other parts will need replacing such as the hybrid battery, connectors, hoses and so on due to the time lapse which Hyundai purposely created by their refusal to act in a timely manner. I am making a complaint against them for the above reasons.
AT 61080 MILES, THE STEERING WHEEL WAS MAKING A KNOCKING SOUND WHILE TURNING RIGHT OR LEFT WITH EXCESSIVE PLAY IN THE STEERING AFFECTING STEERING CONTROL. THE EVENT WAS SUDDEN AND THERE WAS NO PRIOR INDICATION OF A PROBLEM. HYUNDAI DEALERSHIP REPLACED THE FLEXIBLE COUPLING (PN 56315-2K000-FFF) TO CORRECT THE ISSUE CAUSED BY THE COUPLER THEY DESCRIBED AS "WORN OUT". REPLACEMENT OF THE COUPLER IS NOT IDENTIFIED BY HYUNDAI AS A SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE ITEM. TOTAL REPLACEMENT COST WAS $321.39
THE COUPLING HAS WORN DOWN RESULTING IN A HORRIBLE CLUNKING SOUND AND FEEL WHEN DRIVING. I AM SCARED MY STEERING COLUMN WILL FALL APART EVERY TIME I GO OVER A BUMP....THAT OR MY WHEELS WILL FALL OFF. $400 BUCKS TO FIX. I'VE READ IT'S HAPPENING TO YHSIBMAKE AND MODEL AND TEAR ALL OVER THE PLACE...WHY DID HYUNDAI USE PLASTIC COUPLINGS? HYUNDAI... YOU NEED TO RECALL THIS.

THE STEERING COLUMN HAS BECOME VERY LOOSENED. WHEN DRIVING AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED, THE STEERING COLUMN WILL POP AND JERK IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION, AND SOMETIMES CAUSE MY CAR TO STEER IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION. I JUST PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE FROM THEIR DEALERSHIP IN FEB. 2016. THE DRIVER'S SIDE BRAKE LIGHT HOUSING UNIT HAS A DEFECT, WHICH CAUSED IT TO MELT AND THE BLOW THE BULB. THE BULB IS HARD TO REMOVE BECAUSE THE PLASTIC ASSEMBLY HAS MELTED TO THE BULB. I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY A CERTIFIED MECHANIC THAT THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND CAN EVEN CAUSE A FIRE. I HAVE TO PAY FEW HUNDREDS TO GET THIS FIXED BEFORE WINTER APPROACHES ELSE IT WILL GET WORSE. IF THIS IS COMMON IN SONATAS, WHY HYUNDAI HASN'T RECALLED THEM YET. WHEN I START DRIVING OVER 60 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL AND COLUMN STARTS SHAKING VIOLENTLY, AS WELL AS WHEN I APPLY THE BRAKES OR GO OVER ROUGH/PATCHY ROAD. IT FEELS AS THOUGH THE STEERING WILL FALL OFF. CAR ONLY HAS 82,000 MILES ON IT. WHEN I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER TO GET IT FIXED, THEY SAID IT WAS A COUPLING ON THE STEERING COLUMN, AND THEY TOLD ME IT WAS A WEAR AND TEAR ITEM. THAT IS RIDICULOUS, BECAUSE I HAVE HAD SEVERAL VEHICLES OVER YEARS, SOME WITH OVER 200,000 MILES ON THEM AND HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED THIS. I HAD TO BITE THE BULLET AND PAY THE PRICE TO GET IT FIXED BECAUSE OF HOW DANGEROUS IT FELT DRIVING, AS IF AT ANY MOMENT I COULD HAVE LOST CONTROL, CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. THE DEALER TOLD ME THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE SONATAS, BUT YET HYUNDAI HASN'T RECALLED THEM, BUT DID GO ON TO REPLACE THEM IN THE NEWER MODELS, AS IF LEAVING OWNERS OF THE PRE-2013 STYLES TO THEIR OWN DEVICES. NOT TO MENTION, COUNTLESS OTHER PROBLEMS WE HAVE HAD WITH THE THIS PARTICULAR SONATA, SUCH AS THE STARER GOING OUT WITH LESS THAN 20,000 MILES ON IT, THE CONSTANT LOCKING OF THE STEERING WHEEL (TO WHICH I AM AFRAID IT WILL DO WHILE DRIVING), AND THE RADIO GOING OUT WITH LESS THAN 30,000 MILES ON IT. THIS ISSUE NEEDS TO BE RECALLED BY HYUNDAI SO THAT EVERYONE CAN DRIVE THEIR CARS SAFELY. I FEEL THAT I AM IN DANGER DRIVING MY CAR AND HAVE RECENTLY HAD TO CONSIDER RENTING A CAR JUST TO TRAVEL FOR THE HOLIDAYS. I AM TOO AFRAID OF BREAKING DOWN IN THE MIDDLE OF NO WHERE OR IN THE DARK. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE AND NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. LESS SERIOUS BUT STILL AN ISSUE IS THE LIGHTING ASSEMBLIES IN THE CAR. BOTH THE FRONT HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLIES AND THE BACK TAILLIGHT ASSEMBLIES ARE SO PROPERLY MADE THAT THE PLASTIC HAS LITERALLY MELTED THE HOUSING ASSEMBLY FOR THE BULB AND THEY GET STUCK INSIDE. I HAD TO EXPLAIN THIS TO AN OFFICER WHO WAS NOT VERY AMUSED AND THEN ENDED UP PAYING A SHOP 40$ TO GET IT OUT WHICH THEY DID. THANKFULLY THEY DID BECAUSE WHEN THEY GOT IT OUT YOU CAN SEE WHERE IT IS MELTED AND HOW IT WAS STUCK. THAT IS NOT OK! I NEED TO BE ABLE TO CHANGE THE BULB WHEN IT GOES OUT. WHILE DRIVING IT STARTED TO HESITATE AND A CYCLIC KNOCKING NOISE FROM THE ENGINE ENSUED WHILE ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE. DROVE TO DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THE STEERING WOULD BE TAKEN CARE OF. WAS ALSO TOLD THE OIL HAD METAL SHAVINGS WHICH WAS EFFECTING THE MOTOR. THE CAR IS UNDER WARRANTY, THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT IS TRYING TO GET OUT OF THE REPAIRS BECAUSE THE OIL CHANGES WERE NOT DONE BY THEM. ANY SUBSEQUENT ENGINE FAILURE COULD RESULT IN MY CAR STALLING, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
