Had to replace 2 door latches on passenger side in 2020. 3 months later the rear passenger on driver side is also defective. Can't open door from inside OR outside. This is a major safety issue. 3 out of 4 door latches failed.
MY PASSENGER DRIVERS SIDE DOOR WILL NOT OPEN OR UNLOCK. I TOOK TO THE HYUNDAI DEALER PRIME HYUNDAI IN PLYMOUTH ANDS WASN TOLD MY DOOR ACUATOR WAS BENT???????IF THE DOOR WAS HARDLY USEDN AND NOT IN AN ACCIDENT THAT MEANS THE PART WAS ALWAYS BENTBB. THE DEALER WANTS $460.00 TO REPLACE. I HAD PREVIOUS APPTS. TO HAVE REPAIRED AND COULDN'T MAKE THEM. I AM NOT UNDER WARRANTY BY 14 DAYS.. I FEEL THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE, AND WHY WASNT IT UNDER WARRANTY.
THE HEADLIGHTS TURN OFF AND ON ON THEIR OWN WHEN IT IS SET TO AUTO. I HAVE WORKED WITH HYUNDAI, AND ENGINEERING HAS CONFIRMED THAT THEY HAVE HAD SEVERAL CASES WHERE THE SENSOR MALFUNCTIONS AND TURNED THE HEADLIGHTS OFF AND ON. IT IS INCREDIBLY DANGEROUS AS THIS HAPPENS AT NIGHT AND DURING THE DAY.
DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR ON 3 OF 4 DOORS HAS FAILED. THIS MEANS THAT THE DOOR CANNOT OPEN FROM INSIDE OUR OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, I PARKED AND WHEN I RETURNED, I COULD NOT OPEN THE DOORS (IN ALL 3 INSTANCES). FRONT PASSENGER AND BOTH REAR DOORS. REAR DOORS FAILED WITHIN A WEEK OF EACH OTHER AND ALL THREE INSTANCES OF FAILURE HAVE OCCURRED WITHIN A YEAR (FRONT IN JANUARY, REAR IN OCTOBER). I CONTACTED HYUNDAI ABOUT THE PROBLEM WHEN IT OCCURRED WITH THE REAR DOORS, CONCERNED THAT THIS COULD BE DANGEROUS (I.E. PEOPLE TRAPPED IN CARS IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY). THE HYUNDAI REPRESENTATIVE I TALKED WITH AGREED THAT IT WAS A HUGE SAFETY RISK/ISSUE, BUT UNFORTUNATELY THEY COULD DO NOTHING ABOUT IT WITHOUT THE DIRECTION OF THE NHTSA (SUCH AS A RECALL OF THE DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR).
ISSUE WITH FRONT PASSENGER AND REAR PASSENGER DOORS - THEY WILL NOT OPEN FROM THE OUTSIDE OR INSIDE DUE TO AN ISSUE WITH THE LATCH INSIDE THE DOOR. THIS CAN BE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND COULD EVEN RESULT IN A FATALITY IF YOU WERE IN AN ACCIDENT. IMAGINE IF THE CAR WAS ON FIRE AND NEITHER YOU NOR EMS COULD GET YOU OUT! I HAVE TWO SMALL CHILDREN AND IF I NEEDED TO GET THEM OUT OF THE CAR QUICKLY DUE TO A MEDICAL EMERGENCY, I WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO DO SO. THIS SHOULD SERIOUSLY BE LOOKED INTO AS A RECALL AND ANYONE WHO'S HAD TO PAY FOR THIS TO BE REPAIRED SHOULD BE REIMBURSED. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE AND SHOULD BE COVERED BY THE DEALERSHIP/MANUFACTURER
MY REAR PASSENGER DOOR DOESN'T OPEN FROM THE INSIDE OR OUTSIDE. NOT MATTER WHAT I DO. I HAVE DONE SOME RESEARCH AND THIS IS EXTREMELY COMMON. WHY IS THIS NOT ON RECALL. I ALSO HAVE A PROBLEM WHEN I TRY TO OPEN. THE FRONT DRIVER DOOR. I HAVE TO PUMP THE HANDLE A FEW TIMES AND THEN IT RELEASES. I CALLED ABOUT THE WARRANTY AND TO GET IT FIXED BUT WAS 8 DAYS LATE BUT UNDER MILEAGE. THEY REFUSED TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT
I'M HAVING TROUBLE WITH THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE DOORS TO WHERE THEY ARE HARD TO OPEN. I UNLOCK THE DOORS AND I HAVE TO PULL THE DOOR LATCH SEVERAL TIMES SO THEY CAN OPEN.
THE DRIVER'S SIDE REAR DOOR WILL NOT OPEN FROM INSIDE OR OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE. DOES NOT OPEN AT ALL WHEN IN MOTION OR STATIONARY.
THE DRIVER SIDE REAR DOOR WILL NOT OPEN AT ALL, FROM THE INSIDE OR OUTSIDE. THIS HAPPENED OUTSIDE OF THE 60,000 MILE WARRANTY PERIOD, SO HYUNDAI REFUSED TO VOLUNTARILY FIX THE ISSUE. THE LATCHING MECHANISM SHOULD NOT BE WORN DOWN SO QUICKLY, WITHIN 4 YEARS OF MANUFACTURE. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN, AS POTENTIALLY ALL CAR DOORS COULD FAIL, LEAVING PASSENGERS STUCK INSIDE IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY. I HAVE EMAILED AND CALLED HYUNDAI USA AND NOTIFIED THEM OF THE ISSUE, BUT HAVE YET TO RECEIVE A REPLY.
Neither of the backdoors of the car will open from the inside or the outside. The first failure was the driver side backdoor which will not open even with force. Several months later the passenger side rear door is experiencing the same issue. I spoke with the local Hyundai dealership who confirmed that it is a well known issue, but they have been less than helpful with getting it repaired. They take my contact info and say someone will call me but they never do, when I call or go to the dealership in person the one guy who can help get the repair underway is never available, and they will not give me his direct contact info. This is a serious safety risk because there is no way to get to my children from either of the backdoors if there was an emergency, they have to be accessed and pulled over the center console to be removed from the car at all. Given the incredibly persistent issues with these latches failing in the Tucson, there is also no way to know when any of the other latches may fail and make it impossible to quickly escape the car.
NORTH ON I95 SPEED 65 MILES AT 3PM AND THE ENGINE FROZE AND HAD TO FIGHT TO GET CAR TO SIDE OF ROAD. THE VEHICLE ENGINE REACTED JUST LIKE THE INFO ON THE HYUNDAI WEB SITE THE VEHICLE HAS 114285 MILES AND WILL NOT BE COVERED LIKE THE OTHER HYUNDAI RECALLS.
WHEN ACCELERATING AFTER STOPPING, THE GAS PEDAL WILL BE PUSHED DOWN BUT CAR WILL STALL AND NOT GO. THE ENGINE WILL REV UP, BUT THE CAR DOES NOT MOVE AND THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN WILL ACCELERATE FORWARD. ALSO, WHEN COASTING IN RUSH-HOUR, ACCELERATING AFTER A STOP SIGN, THE CAR WILL MAKE JERKING MOVEMENTS. IT HAS BEEN TAKEN TO A HYUNDAI DEALERSHIP WHERE THEY TOLD ME IT IS A DUAL-TRANSMISSION SO I JUST NEED TO BE MORE AGGRESSIVE WITH IT WHEN TAKING OFF FROM STOP LIGHT/STOP SIGN. I KNOW THAT THIS IS NOT NORMAL AND MOST DEFINITELY NEEDS TO BE REVISITED AS THERE HAVE OBVIOUSLY BEEN ENOUGH COMPLAINTS AND HAS BEEN AN ISSUE PREVIOUSLY.
MY DOOR WILL NOT OPEN FROM THE INSIDE OR OUTSIDE. BOTH MY BACK PASSENGER SIDE DOOR AND FRONT PASSENGER SIDE DOOR HAVE STOPPED OPENING. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD. ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU HAVE CHILDREN, I HAVE 2 KIDS UNDER 5 IN CAR SEATS AND IF I NEEDED TO GET THEM OUT IN AN EMERGENCY I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO IN A TIMELY MANNER. I'VE SEEN MULTIPLE REPORTS OF THIS SAME ISSUE, I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY $1000 FOR MY DOOR TO OPEN.
MY REAR PASSENGER DOOR STOPPED WORKING SUDDENLY. IT WILL NOT OPEN FROM THE INTERIOR LATCH OR THE EXTERIOR.AFTER SEARCHING ONLINE I HAVE FOUND THAT THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE WITH THESE VEHICLES. I BELIEVE THIS TO BE A SAFETY ISSUE AS I NORMALLY HAVE PASSENGERS IN MY VEHICLE AND IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY MY PASSENGERS WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO ESCAPE ON THAT SIDE OF THE CAR. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO OPEN THE DOOR.
THE RIGHT REAR DOOR WILL NOT OPEN FROM THE INSIDE OR THE OUTSIDE. I HAVE TWO SMALL CHILDREN WHO RIDE IN THE BACK SEAT ON EACH SIDE OF THE CAR. IN THE CASE OF AN ACCIDENT OR A CAR FIRE THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR WILL NOT OPEN WHICH COULD TRAP THE CHILDREN INSIDE AND MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR RESCUE WORKERS TO OPEN THE DOOR FROM THE OUTSIDE AS WELL. IF I AM IN AN ACCIDENT WITH DAMAGE TO THE DRIVER'S SIDE OF THE CAR RENDERING THAT DOOR INOPERABLE THE CHILDREN WILL HAVE NO WAY TO EVACUATE THE VEHICLE. IN CASE OF A FIRE, BOTH CHILDREN WILL HAVE TO EVACUATE FROM THE SAME DOOR, DELAYING THE ESCAPE FOR ONE OF THE CHILDREN WHO WILL HAVE TO CROSS THE CAR AND EXIT THE OTHER SIDE. THIS IS A SEVERE SAFETY ISSUE AS THE CHILDREN DO NOT HAVE AN ACCESSIBLE EXIT IN AN EMERGENCY AND THOSE PRECIOUS MOMENTS REQUIRED TO USE AN ALTERNATIVE EXIT COULD RESULT IN SEVERE INJURY OR DEATH FOR ONE OF THE CHILDREN. I HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE IN TO HAVE THIS ISSUE REPAIRED AND THE PART IS ON BACK ORDER FURTHER DELAYING THE REPAIR AND PUTTING THE CHILDREN AT RISK EVEN LONGER. THE PART ON BACK ORDER INDICATES THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM IN THIS VEHICLE AND THIS SAFETY ISSUE SHOULD BE A RECALL.
Passenger side door will not open even though it is unlocked. Steering wheel shaft is going out and rattles when driving. not safe and could cause an accident or death
The contact owns a 2016 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle would stall upon depression of the accelerator pedal without warning. The contact initially took the vehicle to an independent mechanic where the catalytic converter, spark plugs, and coil packs were replaced. Eight months later, the failure returned and the same mechanic informed her that the evaporated oil had melted the catalytic converter and referred her to the dealer for assistance. The vehicle was then taken to the dealer on three separate occasions and each time the catalytic converter was replaced; however, despite the numerous replacements, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 140,963.
VEHICLE BRAKE LIGHTS NOT WORKING BULB IS NOT BLOWN LIGHT WILL COME ON WHEN LIGHT HOUSING IS OUT. DOORS STUCK WILL NOT OPEN WINDOW OFF TRACK
THERE IS A STRESS CRACK IN THE WINDSHIELD. WE NOTICED IT IN THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER. THE WINDSHIELD HAS NOT BEEN REPLACED AND THE CRACK CAME OUT OF NO WHERE. IT IS COMPLETELY SMOOTH INSIDE AND OUT. THE WINDSHIELD REPLACEMENT COMPANIES I HAVE CALLED USUALLY SAY THIS IS DUE TO INCORRECT INSTALLATION OF A WINDSHIELD.

THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED AND DRIVEN TO HYUNDAI DE MAYAGUEZ, MAYAGEZ, 00682, PUERTO RICO, TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE WHILE DRIVING TO THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT YET REPAIRED DUE TO THE PART NOT BEING AVAILABLE FOR THE REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 85,000.

THE RECALL INFORMATION SAID THAT FOR MY MODEL YEAR OF VEHICLE THE SERVICE PROCEDURE HASN'T BEEN DEVELOPED YET. THE RECALL WAS IN EARLY SEPT.; IT'S NOW ALMOST THE END OF FEBRUARY. WHAT IS A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME? YOU SAID IF THEY DON'T RESOLVE IT IN A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME TO FILE A COMPLAINT.

RIGHT REAR PASSENGER DOOR LATCH WOULD NOT OPEN FROM INSIDE OR OUTSIDE. NOW THE LEFT REAR PASSENGER DOOR LATCH WILL NOT OPEN FROM INSIDE OR OUTSIDE. THE DRIVER DOOR DOES NOT OPEN ALWAYS WHEN USING THE KEY FOB EVEN THOUGH THE BATTERIES HAVE BEEN REPLACED. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE AND SHOULD HAVE A RECALL ON THE DOOR LATCH ASSEMBLY MECHANISMS. I HAVE A 2016 HYUNDAITUCSON LTD BUT AM READING ON THE INTERNET THAT MANY 2015-2017 HYUNDAI OWNERS ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. MY GRANDCHILDREN ARE AT RISK IN THE BACKSEAT! PLEASE CHECK INTO THIS ISSUE QUICKLY.
ACCORDING TO HYUNDAI (AND SEVERAL OTHERS IN VARIOUS ONLINE FORUMS), THERE IS A KNOWN DOOR LATCH ISSUE THAT AFFECTS 2015 AND NEWER HYUNDAI TUCSONS AND POSSIBLY OTHER HYUNDAI MODELS. OUR 2016 HYUNDAI TUCSON REAR DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR WILL NOT OPEN FROM THE INSIDE OR OUTSIDE AND THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR WILL ONLY OPEN FROM THE INSIDE. THIS POSES A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN DUE TO THE FACT THAT IF THE PASSENGER'S SIDE WAS TO BECOME DAMAGED OR BLOCKED, IT WOULD BE NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO 1. ESCAPE THE VEHICLE, OR 2. SAVE SOMEONE IN THE BACKSEAT DURING AN EMERGENCY- SPECIFICALLY CHILDREN IN CAR SEATS, PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES OR ELDERLY WHO REQUIRE ASSISTANCE. IF THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE, AND LATER AFFECTS THE PASSENGER'S SIDE, ONE COULD POTENTIALLY HAVE TO BREAK A WINDOW JUST TO EXIT THE VEHICLE. THIS ISSUE PUTS DRIVERS AND PASSENGERS IN IMMINENT DANGER, NOT TO MENTION THE STRESS, FRUSTRATION AND FEAR OF NOT BEING ABLE TO OPEN YOUR CAR DOOR TO REMOVE A CHILD FROM A CAR SEAT OR LOVED ONE INTO THEIR WHEEL CHAIR. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE FOR ANY VEHICLE, ESPECIALLY ONE THAT IS ONLY 3.5 YEARS OLD. HYUNDAI'S UNWILLINGNESS TO REPAIR THIS PROBLEM FOR ANYTHING LESS THAN $1000 BECAUSE THE VEHICLE HAS TOO MANY MILES IS OUTRAGEOUS. THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MILEAGE- IT IS A SAFETY CONCERN NEEDING AN IMMEDIATE RECALL. BEING LOCKED/TRAPPED INSIDE A VEHICLE IS NEVER OKAY.
A REAR DOOR LOCK IS 'FROZEN" IN A LOCKED POSITION. IT REJECTS PHYSICAL AND ELECTRONIC ATTEMPTS TO OPEN. IT REMAINS WHEN ENGINE IS OFF OR ON. IT IS NOT LOCKED BY CHILD PROTECTION. IT CLEARLY IS A DANGER TO OCCUPANTS IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT FIRE. A WEB SEARCH FOR HYUNDAI TUCSON 2016 (AND SOME SIMILAR) DOOR LOCKS SHOWS THIS IS NOT UNCOMMON. NEITHER THE DOOR NOR LOCK NOR HANDLE HAVE BEEN DAMAGED. THERE IS NO COMPANY RECALL OR OFFER FOR DEALERS TO REPAIR.
THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR WILL NOT UNLOCK REGARDLESS OF HOW OR WHEN IT IS TRIED. THE DEALER SAYS THE DOOR ACTUATOR IS FAULTY. NO ONE CAN ENTER OR EXIT THE VEHICLE FROM THAT SIDE, EVEN IN AN EMERGENCY. THIS PROBLEM APPEARS IN HUNDREDS OF POSTS ABOUT THIS MODEL OF HYUNDAI TUSCON. ONLY A DEALER CAN REPAIR AND REPLACE THE PROBLEM AT A COST OF $1600. NO RECALL HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THIS.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 HYUNDAI TUCSON. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH, SHE HEARD AN ABNORMAL POPPING AND GRINDING SOUND COMING FROM THE ENGINE. THE OIL LIGHT WARNING LIGHT BECAME ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. DESPITE THE VEHICLE LOSING POWER, THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE TO HER RESIDENCE. DUE TO THE FAILURE, THE CONTACT HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THEY DIAGNOSED THE VEHICLE WITH ENGINE FAILURE. THE DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE HAD YET TO BE REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 109,904.
2016 HYUNDAI TUSCON WITH 143K LOST ENGINE 3-4Q OF OIL IN LESS THAN 1,000 MILES TO THE POINT ENGINE ALMOST SEIZED. NO SENSORS FOR CHECK ENGINE AND CHECK OIL LIGHTS EVER CAME ON. THIS COULD'VE BEEN A SAFETY ISSUE IF NOT DETECTED IF THE ENGINE SEIZED IN OPERATION WITH NO WARNING. THE MANUFACTURE REFUSES TO ASSIST IN THE REPAIR AND THE ENGINE WILL HAVE TO BE REPLACED AT OWNERS EXPENSE

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO RON CARTER HYUNDAI (18100 GULF FWY, FRIENDSWOOD, TX 77546) TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT THE AIR BAGS MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT YET REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 76,000.
PASSENGER SIDE DOORS - FIRST THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR, THEN THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR - STOPPED OPENING. FRONT PASSENGER DOOR WAS ABLE TO BE OPENED FROM THE INSIDE (ROLLING DOWN WINDOW), BUT THE BACK DOOR HAD THE CHILD LOCK ENGAGED SO COULD NOT BE OPENED AT ALL. ANALYSIS AT DEALERSHIP DETERMINED IT WAS (IN BOTH CASES) THE ACTUATOR AND THIS SEEMS TO BE A WIDESPREAD ISSUE. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AS I HAD MY 3 YEAR OLD IN CHILDSEAT IN BACK AND COULD NOT GET TO HER QUICKLY. I'VE NOW MOVED HER CAR SEAT TO THE OTHER SIDE, HOWEVER, I DO NOT WANT TO ENGAGE THE CHILDLOCK ON THAT DOOR IN CASE THE SAME THING HAPPENS - THEN I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO REACH HER AT ALL - THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY CONCERN FOR ME.
REAR PASSENGER DOOR WILL NOT OPEN. IT IS UNLOCKED AND THE CHILD SAFETY LOCKS ARE NOT ENGAGED. NO AMOUNT OF PUSHING FROM INSIDE NOR PULLING FROM OUTSIDE WILL MOVE THE DOOR. THIS HAPPENED AFTER THE CAR HAD BEEN SITTING IN THE DRIVEWAY FOR 3 DAYS WITHOUT BEING DRIVEN. THERE HAVE BEEN NO IMPACTS, ETC. TO THE VEHICLE WHATSOVER. WE WENT OUT TO GO FOR A DRIVE AND COULD NOT OPEN THE DOOR FOR MY TODDLER TO GET IN.
MY RIGHT SIDE REAR DOOR, AND PASSENGER DOOR HANDLES BOTH STOPPED WORKING AND WILL NOT OPEN THE DOOR. MY CAR DOOR WILL NOT BUDGE FROM THE INSIDE NOR OUTSIDE NO MATTER HOW MUCH FORCE I PUT INTO IT. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD AS I HAVE TWO YOUNG CHILDREN IN CAR SEATS, IF I EVER HAD TO GET THEM OUT IN AN EMERGENCY I'D HAVE TO GET THEM OUT THROUGH THE WINDOW! THIS IS NOT A CHEAP FIX, AND I SEE IT IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM AMONG OWNERS OF THIS SAME MODEL. PLEASE WHY HAS THIS NOT BEEN RECALLED YET
MY DRIVER SIDE REAR DOOR DOES NOT OPEN. I HAVE SEEN A HYUNDAI DEALER AND IT WAS NOT COVERED UNDER MY WARRANTY BY 2 WEEKS. (I DID HAVE AN APPOINTMENT IN SEPTEMBER BUT COULDN'T GET TO THE DEALER.)I HAVE NOT BEEN DRIVING THE. AT TO MUCH WITH THE COVID 19 DISEASE. THE DOOR HASN'T OPENED IN COUPLE OF MONTHS. I FEEL THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND SHOULD BE FIXED BY HYUNDAI. I HAVE READ OTHER PEOPLE'S SAME PROBLEM.
i have taken my car in to dealership a few times over the last couple years,Complaining about excessive oil burning and loss of power.The last time,The dealership told me the catalyc converter was clogged.I had it repaired but asked Dealership,If engine doesnt get repaired itll happen again.they told me its fine and engine was fine.Well,It isn't fine and went and spoke to a few auto repair shops and they told me if car is under warranty,Car needs to go back to dealershipto have engine looked at and repaired..I feel I'm definitely getting the run-around.I can not keep replacing a catalyc converter every year and the problem not being fixed.the situation of losing power while driving is putting myself and family at risk.this is very concerning and life threatening.Im still well within my warranty and feel unsafe and ripped off.
I WENT TO GET MY 1 YR OLD OUT OF HIS CAR SEAT LAST NIGHT AND THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR WOULDN'T OPEN FROM THE OUTSIDE OR THE INSIDE. IT WAS UNLOCKED. I'VE READ MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS SO THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE AND A HUGE SAFETY CONCERN IF THERE WAS AN EMERGENCY AND I HAD TO GET HIM OUT QUICKLY. I HAD TO CRAWL IN THE BACK SEAT AND DRAG MY 30 LB 1 YEAR OLD OUT UP OVER HIS CAR SEAT AND THROUGH THE MIDDLE OF THE CAR OUT THE DRIVER'S SIDE PASSENGER DOOR.

IT ALL STARTED OUT WITH THE DRIVER DOOR. THE PUSH BUTTON FELL OFF, THE DOOR WAS STILL ABLE TO OPEN BUT NOW THE WIRES ARE EXPOSED. THE CO-PILOT DOOR FAILED AT OPENING. YOU HAVE TO PULL IT THREE TIMES BEFORE IT OPENS. THEN THE CO-PILOT WINDOW STOPPED FUNCTIONING. WENT TO GO GET IT FIXED AND THEY SAID THE DOOR SHOULD BE FIXED AFTER REPLACING THE MOTOR. FALSE. DOOR STILL DOES NOT WORK. REAR PASSENGER DOOR DOES NOT OPEN FROM INSIDE OR OUT. COULD BE A RISK SINCE NOW ONLY ONE DOOR IN THE BACK IS OPERABLE. THE WINDOW FROM THE DRIVER DOOR STOPPED OPERATING. THAT IS NOW THREE OF 4 DOORS. WHAT IS IT GOING TO TAKE UNTIL THIS IS A RECALL? ALSO WHEN THE PASSENGER WINDOW GOT FIXED THEY SAID THE PLASTIC MOTOR WAS SLIGHTLY MELTED?! FIRE HAZARD.

I HAVE ONE DOOR HANDLE (BACK PASSENGER SIDE) THAT HAS BROKEN OFF, ONE DOOR HANDLE (FRONT DRIVERS) STARTING TO FAIL WHERE I HAVE TO PULL IT 2 TIMES TO OPEN THE DOOR. ALSO, THE FRONT 2 WINDOWS WILL NO LONGER ROLL DOWN AND THE BACK PASSENGER WINDOW WILL NOT ROLL UP. I AM UNABLE TO FIX THE BACK PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW DUE TO THE BROKEN DOOR HANDLE THAT HAS COMPLETELY MADE THE DOOR INOPERABLE FROM INSIDE OR OUT AND IS EXTREMELY UNSAFE AS A PASSENGER IN THE BACK SEAT CAN NOT EXIT THROUGH THAT DOOR.

RIGHT (PASSENGER) REAR DOOR WILL NOT OPEN FROM THE INSIDE OR OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE EVEN IF THE DOOR IS UNLOCKED. THE DOOR LOCK IS FUNCTIONAL, BUT THE LATCH DOES NOT DISENGAGE WHEN THE DOOR HANDLE IS PULLED. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN IF REAR PASSENGERS NEED TO EXIT IN AN EMERGENCY.
THE RIGHT REAR DOOR OF THE VEHICLE WILL NOT OPEN FROM EITHER THE INSIDE OR OUTSIDE. IT WAS A SUDDEN FAILURE. WORKED WHEN WE STOPPED THE VEHICLE, DID NOT WORK WHEN WE RETURNED TO THE VEHICLE 15 MINUTES LATER. IT SOUNDS LIKE THE ELECTRIC LOCKS ARE TRYING TO WORK AND THE PHYSICAL BUTTON ON THE INSIDE IS SHOWING TO BE UNLOCKED, BUT NEITHER THE INSIDE HANDLE OR OUTSIDE HANDLE WILL OPEN THE DOOR.
WHEN AT A COMPLETE STOP, VEHICLE STUDDERS AND HAS A HARD TIME PICKING UP SPEED (RPM GOES HIGH). WHEN TRYING ENTER INTO TRAFFIC IT'S VERY DANGEROUS BECAUSE VEHICLE DOESN'T PICK UP SPEED.
THE CAR DOESNT GO WHEN YOU STEP ON THE GAS, PULLING OUT IN TRAFFIC IS DANGEROUS. THE PROBLEM EXASTURBATED WHEN THE CARS 1ST 15 MINUTES OF RUNNING. AND ANYTIME I GO FROM A COMPLETE STOP FOR LONGER THAN 30 SECONDS, THERE IS LITTLE MOMENTUM, WHETHER I'M TURNING OR GOING FORWARD. I HAVE TO USE THE 7 SPEED MANUAL TO ENSURE SAFETY PULLING OUT INTO CROSS TRAFFIC, THE RESULTS COULD BE DEADLY. THE CAR HAS BEEN BROUGHT IN SEVERAL TIMES, BUT ROUTE 60 HYUNDAI, VERO BEACH IS RUDE! GETTING A LOANER FOR THIS RECALL WAS HORRIFIC THE 1ST TIME, AND THEY WOULDN'T GIVE ME A VEHICLE THE 2ND, 3RD OR 4TH TIME. #2 THE DOORS AND WINDOWS, THE PASSENGER FRONT DOOR AND THE PASSENGER REAR DOOR, DO NOT OPEN FROM THE INSIDE OR OUT, AS WELL AS THE PASSENGER WINDOW NO LONGER OPERATES, GOD FORBID THERE IS AN ACCIDENT, THERE IS NO ESCAPE. THIS VEHICLE HAS HAD 4 RECALLS, 1 BEING THE TRANSMISSION ISSUE. THIS VEHICLE GETS SCARIER EVERY DAY, AND I AM DISABLED ALREADY. I DONT WANT TO DIE IN THIS VEHICLE.

ONCE OPENED FROM THE INSIDE AFTER BEING UNLOCKED, YOU CAN CLOSE IT AND RE-OPEN AGAIN FROM THE OUTSIDE LEADING ME TO BELIEVE THIS IS AN ELECTRONIC ISSUE, NOT A HARDWARE ISSUE WITH THE LATCH. AFTER RESEARCHING IT SEEMS THIS IS A CONSISTENT PROBLEM WITH HYUNDAI. HAVING ALL DOORS WORK IS CERTAINLY AN SAFETY ISSUE. THIS HAPPENS WHILE IN PARK WITH THE VEHICLE ON OR OFF.
MY VEHICLE IS EXHIBITING ISSUES WITH POWER. MY CAR HAS STOP ON THE HWY AND HAS CLANKING NOISE WHEN IT GETS CLOSE TO 4000RPM. IT'S SLOW TO SPEED UP AND SOMETIMES STAYS AT 50MPH NO MATTER HOW LONG MY FOOT IS ON THE ACCELERATOR. I'VE TAKEN IT IN TO GET LOOKED AND EVEN HAD A TUNE UP AND IT'S THE SAME ISSUE. IN REVERSE IT'S FINE BUT GOING FORWARD THAT'S WHEN YOU CAN FEEL AND HEAR THE PROBLEMS. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD AND I DON'T HAVE $5000 FOR A NEW TRANSMISSION. MY MECHANIC SAYS IT'S INTERNAL ISSUE WITH THE POWER TRAIN. IT NEEDS TO BE RECALLED!
