Drove into a parking space, with the foot pressing on the brake pedal, the car suddenly and without warning rapidly accelerated uncontrolled causing the vehicle to accelerate past the end of the parking space causing property damage.
The car did not accelerate after pressing gas pedal all way down. Encountered this while idling and trying to accelerate from a steady speed as well.
I was at a stop light, when I went to accelerate, the car would not move past 20 MPH. I pressed down on the pedal, and the gauge did not go past 20 MPH. After a few seconds, the car started to accurate, but it happened again at a second stop light a few minutes later.
I had multiple occasions where the car would blink lates and make screaming noises when acceleration. The vehicle never had a smooth process of stopping and going. When stopped at a light, you could press the acceleration and it idle or not speed up than rev the RMPs and start to catch speed. It was very unsafe, I tried several attempts years ago at getting the vehicle maintenanced but only got rotors repaired from shaking and two other shops stating it was a recall and they could not service or fix the vehicle.
The vehicle will not accelerate properly. Several times, I have been on the interstate, and the vehicle would barely increase in speed. Several instances have let to life threatening situations. Numerous times, I have gone to get on the interstate, and the vehicle would slow to nearly a stop, and even when having no other choice but to floor the gas pedal, it still would not accelerate. I've been forced to go off the road, in the middle of the interstate, so many times I've lost track. It's dangerous, and needs to be addressed immediately. I'm considering a lawsuit.
When I go to accelerate my vehicle it does not accelerate properly. It actually slows down to the point of almost stopping. It is very dangerous when I am getting on the highway. I have had cars almost rear end me due to this issue. I travel with my children in this car.
original owner. Car shook badly and hesitated losing speed at 61k. dealership replaced all or four ignition coils and spark plugs. Car started and burning oil at 61,000 despite regular oil changes at 3500. Mostly done by the dealership. Car has been burning oil uses 1 quart every 500 miles. All four window regulators have stopped working. I replaced one.
car is in limp mode,will not accelerate.Oil consultant over a few years.Dealership has requested new engine twice and denied by Hyundai USA.i have to put flashers on just to get on highway so im not killed.I will drive down the street and back and my engine will be extremely hot for hours.I am limited to my hometown only.I can not go out of my hometown due to heat of engine and blowing hoses and water pumps which has happened.This car is a danger and I am in financial burden to high repairs and excuses from dealerships.i have spent over 16,000 dollars and 3 catalyc converters later due to clogging ,in result to oul consumption.This car is a lemon and has ruined my life for the last 3/4 years.lots of stress and financial expenses only to have the same problem
WHEN AT A COMPLETE STOP, VEHICLE STUDDERS AND HAS A HARD TIME PICKING UP SPEED (RPM GOES HIGH). WHEN TRYING ENTER INTO TRAFFIC IT'S VERY DANGEROUS BECAUSE VEHICLE DOESN'T PICK UP SPEED.
COMING FROM A STOP OR VERY LOW SPEEDS, I PRESS ON THE GAS PEDAL AND THE CAR DOESN'T MOVE. SOMETIMES IT ACTUALLY SLOWS DOWN. WHEN IT DOES ENGAGE, THE CAR WILL LURCH FORWARD AT A HIGHER SPEED. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES. OTHER 2016 TUCSONS ARE UNDER RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE. THEY NEED TO EXPAND THE RECALL. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON MULTIPLE DATES AND TIMES, SO THE ISSUE IS ONGOING.
THE VEHICLE ACCELERATES SUDDENLY WITHOUT DRIVER INPUT. ALSO, IT TURNS OFF WHILE DRIVING, CAUSING THE LOSS OF BRAKE AND STEERING CONTROLS. FINALLY, TRANSMISSION GEAR SWITCH WITHOUT INPUT WHILE DRIVING. THIS SITUATIONS OCCUR WHILE DRIVING IN BOTH CITY AND HIGHWAY DRIVING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DEALER ON 12/26/19; NO RESPONSE HAS BEEN RECEIVED EITHER FROM DEALER OR MANUIFACTURER.

I'VE OWNED MY 2016 HYUNDAI TUCSON FOR LESS THEN 1 MONTH NOW. ON 3 OCCASSIONS AFTER COMING TO A STOP AND TRYING TO ACCELERATE THE GAS PEDAL SEEMS TO FAIL. MY RPMS GO UP BUT THE VEHICLE DOESN'T ACCELERATE UNTIL PUSHING THE GAS PEDAL 3 TIMES OR MORE VERY HARD. MY VEHICLE ONLY HAS 30K MILES ON IT. I WILL BE BRINGING IT TO THE DEALERSHIP. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS ESPECIALLY WHEN TURNING AND ON COMING TRAFFIC IS COMING BUT THE VEHICLE WON'T MOVE. THIS COULD POTENTIALLY KILL ME IF STRUCK WHILE MERGING ON TO THE FREEWAY. HI. I REPORTED THE CRUISE CONTROL MALFUNCTIONING TO TWO DIFFERENT HYUNDAI DEALERS, SERVICE DEPT. THE PROBLEM VARIES FROM NOT BE ABLE TO SET THE SPEED, TO NOT BEING ABLE TO LOWER THE SPEED, TO NOT RESPONDING TO CANCEL, BECAUSE CRUISE CONTROL WILL NOT WORK PROPERLY . ALL ACTIONS ARE BY USING THE CONTROL TOGGLES ON THE STEERING WHEEL CONSOLE. IT IS AN INTERMITTENT PROBLEM, AS SOME TIMES IT WORKS FINE, AND FOR OTHER DRIVES IT WON'T ENGAGE AT ALL, OR WILL NOT DISENGAGE THE SPEED WHEN HITTING CANCEL. I CAN TAP THE BRAKE TO SLOW SPEED, WHICH CAN ALARM A DRIVER BEHIND MY LANE AND CAUSE AN ACCIDENT BEHIND ME. THE SERVICE STAFF CAN NOT GET THE CRUISE CONTROL TO DUPLICATE ON A VEHICLE TEST DRIVES. SO WITH THAT, THEY SAY THEY CAN NOT REPLACE THE STEERING LINKAGE, OR ANY PART BECAUSE THEY CAN NOT PROVE IT IS FAULTY. I EXPLAINED HOW IT IS NOT SAFE, ESPECIALLY ON A HIGHWAY WITH NATURALLY HIGHER SPEEDS TO CONSIDER. WITH FIVE REPORTS OF THE FAULTY CRUISE CONTROL ON FILE, AT DIFFERENT HYUNDAI SERVICE CENTERS, THE UNSAFE PROBLEM STILL EXISTS IN THE TUSCON 2016 SUV. I HAVE PAPERWORK SHOWING REPORTED SAFETY CONCERNS SEPT 18, 2018, MAR 27, 2019, JUNE 3, 2019, AUGUST 15, 2019, OCT 16, 2019. PLUS A PERSONAL VIDEO OF PUSHING AND TOGGLING THE CONTROLS WITHOUT CRUISE RESPONSE.THAT IS OVER A YEAR OF THE REPORTING THE MALFUNCTIONING SPEED CONTROL. IT IS UNSAFE WITH NO SOLUTION.
I HAD BEEN DRIVING MY 2016 HYUNDAI, TUCSON, FOR OVER 5 HOURS ON HIGHWAY. AFTER TAKING A BREAK, AND RETURNING BACK TO HIGHWAY, MY CAR SUDDENLY BEGAN ACCELERATING FROM MY 60MPH SPEED TO OVER 80MPH. I TOOK MY FOOT OFF GAS PEDAL AND TAPPED BRAKE PEDAL. THE BRAKE PEDAL HIT THE FLOOR WITH NO RESISTANCE, AS THE CAR CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE. AFTER SUCCESSFULLY PULLING CAR OFF HIGHWAY, I APPLIED EMERGENCY BRAKE TO STOP CAR. AFTER HAVING IT TOWED TO NEAREST HYUNDAI DEALER, THEY WERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE PROBLEM, AND TOLD ME THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG. THE CAR IS ROUTINELY IN FOR SERVICE.

SUDDENLY, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED AT A RAPID SPEED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO FAULKNER HYUNDAI (2060 PAXTON ST, HARRISBURG, PA 17111, (717) 238-7324) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT AN UNKNOWN SYSTEM NEEDED TO BE UPDATED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 34,000.
WHEN STARTING FROM A COMPLETE STOP OR STATIONARY, THE CAR HESITATES, ALMOST SEEMS TO CHOKE, AND THEN LURCHES FORWARD WITH A BURST WHEN TRYING TO ENTER INTO TRAFFIC. IT IS HARD TO ANTICIPATE WHETHER IT WILL MOVE OR NOT WHEN TRYING TO PULL OUT INTO TRAFFIC FROM A STOP SIGN. ONCE MOVING THE CAR SEEMS TO OPERATE AND ACCELERATE WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM. THIS ISSUE WAS NOTED IN AN EARLIER RECALL (AUGUST 2016). A SOFTWARE "FIX" WAS IMPLEMENTED. IMMEDIATELY AFTERWARD, I FELT THERE WAS SOME SMALL NOTICEABLE POSITIVE CHANGE. HOWEVER, ANY EARLY INDICATION OF IMPROVEMENT HAS NOW BEEN LOST. IT IS DEEPLY CONCERNING THAT THE CAR MAY CHOOSE TO GO OR NOT WHEN TRYING TO PULL OUT INTO TRAFFIC. THIS HAPPENS EXTREMELY OFTEN - ALMOST DAILY. WHILE I SELECTED A DATE OF OCCURRENCE BELOW, IT WAS ONLY TO SATISFY THE FORM'S REQUIREMENTS.

THE FAILURE RECURRED TWICE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO JENKINS HYUNDAI OF OCALA (1602 SW COLLEGE RD, OCALA, FL 34471), BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. A TECHNICIAN FROM THE DEALER DROVE THE VEHICLE WITH THE CONTACT AND EXPERIENCED THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 9,000.
THERE ARE SEVERAL PROBLEMS. THE DUAL CLUTCH AN AUTOMATED MANUAL TRANSMISSION ON MY 1.6-LITER TURBO VERSION HESITATES UP TO SEVERAL SECONDS WHEN ACCELERATING, THIS CAN OCCUR WHEN TURNING, ACCELERATING FROM A FULL STOP, MOVING AT A SLOW SPEED 1-5MPH. THE TACHOMETER REVS UP BUT THE CAR STAYS STATIONARY. THIS HAPPENS MULTIPLE TIMES A WEEK. THE SCARIEST TIME WAS WHEN I WAS ATTEMPTING TO MERGE ON THE HIGHWAY AND THE CAR DID NOT ACCELERATE AND CARS HAD TO SWERVE TO AVOID HITTING ME.. ADDITIONALLY IF YOU ARE IN BUMPER TO BUMPER TRAFFIC INCHING ALONG, IT HESITATES TO ACCELERATE AND WHEN IT FINALLY DOES, YOU'RE AFRAID YOU WILL HIT THE CAR IN FRONT OF YOU. I HAVE FOUND WHEN INCHING ALONG 1-5 MPH DURING RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC THAT I MUST LEAVE 1-2 CAR LENGTHS IN FRONT OF ME DUE TO THE LURCHING AND HESITATION. SUPPOSEDLY THE RECALL IN SEPTEMBER 2016 FIXED THIS ISSUE BUT IT DID NOT. WHEN I CONTACTED HYUNDAI MOTOR COMPANY HEADQUARTERS, THEY TOLD ME THE CAR IS WORKING AS DESIGNED. SO THEY DESIGNED IT TO LURCH AND NOT ACCELERATE? DOESN'T SEEM RIGHT TO ME. I HAVE DOCUMENTATION OF MY CONTACTS WITH THE LOCAL DEALER AND CORPORATE, BUT NOT WITH ME TODAY.
