SHIFTER SERVICE WARNING CONTINUOUSLY POPS UP ON THE DASH BOARD WHILE ALL LIGHTS BLINK RED ON THE STICK SHIFTER. THIS HAPPENS DAILY, SOMETIMES THE CAR WILL NOT SHIFT OUT OF IT'S CURRENT GEAR WHILE IN MOTION WHICH IS A MASSIVE LIABILITY AND DANGER TO EVERYONE ON THE ROAD. I HAD THE SHIFTER REPLACED AT 27,000 MILES AND THE WARNING LIGHT RETURNED AGAIN AT 40,000 MILES. THERE IS NOW AN "ELECTRICAL" WIRING ISSUE. AFTER RESEARCH, IT APPEARS AS THOUGH THIS IS A MANUFACTURING ISSUE AND CERTAIN ASPECTS WERE RECALLED BUT NOT THE ENTIRE SHIFTER. IF I WERE TRAVELING AT A HIGHER RATE OF SPEED WHEN THE SHIFTER LOCKED UP I WOULD BE DEAD. EACH TIME THE WARNING APPEARS, YOU MUST PULL OVER WITHIN A MINUTE OR SO BEFORE IT LOCKS UP, TURN THE CAR OFF AND RESTART IT. THE MESSAGE DISAPPEARS AND THE CAR OPERATES NORMAL FOR A SHORT TIME. THIS NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED.
WHEN AT A COMPLETE STOP AND THE "AUTO START/STOP" IS ENGAGED (WHEN THE ENGINE CUTS POWER TO SAVE ON GAS CONSUMPTION), AND YOU LET YOUR FOOT OFF THE BRAKE TO ACCELERATE, THE VEHICLE DASH CHIMES AND FLASHES QUICKLY ON THE DASH "BLIND SPOT ALERT TEMPORARY UNAVAILABLE."
NUMEROUS TRANSMISSION ISSUES RANGING FROM SHIFTING ERRORS TO ROUGH SHIFTING, AND RECENTLY, AUTOMATIC ENGINE SHUTOFF NO LONGER WORKS. DESPITE CHRYSLER'S TRANSMISSION RECALLS, THE ISSUES CONTINUE. THE LATEST ISSUE, ON/OFF SWITCH, HAS NO SOLUTION ACCORDING TO THE DEALER. AND THEY HAVE SUBMITTED A STAR REPORT FOR ASSISTANCE. THAT WAS AFTER 5 DAYS OF HOLDING ON TO THE CAR.
CRUISE CONTROL WILL BE SET AND EITHER BE GOING 5MPH+ FASTER THAN WHAT IT'S SET AT, OR NOT SHUT OFF WHEN TURNED OFF . ALSO, CONSISTENTLY HAVING 'SERVICE SHIFTER' COME ON , AND THE SHIFTER WILL STOP WORKING AND LOCK IN THE GEAR IT'S IN OR LOCK WHEN PUT IN PARK AND NOT SHIFT TO ANOTHER GEAR.
VEHICLE TURNED OFF ON ITS OWN UPON REACHING 40MPH AND COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP. VEHICLE LATER TURNED OFF WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY AT 65 MPH IN TRAFFIC WHILE IN THE MIDDLE LANE. THIS MADE THE VEHICLE ACCELERATOR INOPERABLE AND AT THE SAME TIME MADE THE VEHICLE LOSE SPEED SLOWING DOWN WHILE IN TRAFFIC. VEHICLE WAS NEARLY MISSED BY PASSING VEHICLES AND ALMOST HIT. EMERGENCY LIGHTS CAME ON AS SOON AS THE VEHICLE TURNED OFF. VEHICLE WAS SHIFTED TO NEUTRAL TO ALLOW FOR STEERING WHEEL TO NOT BE SO STIFF. FINALLY I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER WHILE THE VEHICLE STILL HAD SOME TYPE OF MOMENTUM. I TRIED RESTARTING THE VEHICLE BUT THE DASHBOARD STATED "PLEASE WAIT FOR VEHICLE TO WARM UP TO START.' I HAD TO WAIT ABOUT 20 MINUTES UNTIL THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO RESTART THEN ACTING NORMAL. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. UPON REVISING THE FAULT CODE P2172 APPEARED.
MY 2015 JEEP CHEROKEE LATITUDE HAS STALLED WHILE ACCELATERATING AT LEAST 8 OR 9 TIMES NOW, AND I'VE ONLY HAD THE VEHICLE FOR 7 MONTHS. IT STARTED WHEN I FIRST PURCHASED THE VEHICLE AND THE RPMS WOULD DROP DOWN SUNDDENLY WHEN I FIRST STARTED THE VEHICLE. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH IT. NOW, WHEN I AM STOPPED AT A STOPLIGHT, OR AM ATTEMPTING TO GET ONTO THE FREEWAY, MY VEHICLE WILL STALL, THE ENGINE TURNS OFF, THE BATTERY LIGHT INDICATOR COMES ON AND I AM INSTRUCTED TO PUT THE VEHICLE BACK INTO PARK AND RESTART THE CAR. IT TAKES A COUPLE OF TRIES FOR THE VEHICLE TO START AGAIN. I FEEL VERY UNSAGFE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE AS I AM AFRAID IT WILL TURN OFF AGAIN AND I WON'T BE ABLE TO AVOID TRAFFIC.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 JEEP CHEROKEE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, THE SERVICE SHIFTER INDICATOR AND ALL THE INDICATORS ON THE SHIFTER ILLUMINATED AND REMAINED LIT. THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO GATEWAY CHRYSLER JEEP (409-233-7839, 4103 INTERSTATE 10 E ORANGE, TX 77630) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE SHIFTER AND THE WIRING HARNESS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE SHIFTER WAS ON BACKORDER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 21,000.
WHILE DRIVING, I'VE HAD TWO PROBLEMS. ONE WHERE WHEN MY TRANSMISSION SHIFTS FROM 4TH TO 5TH THE WHOLE VEHICLE HITS REALLY HARD. IT'S A VERY SUDDEN AND HARD JERK. THE SECOND PROBLEM IS, TODAY, WE WERE DRIVING AND AT THE BEGINNING OF ACCELERATION, THE JEEP SHIFTED INTO NEUTRAL BY ITSELF.
WHEN GOING FROM A COMPLETE STOP TO ACCELERATING, THE VEHICLE IS NON-RESPONSIVE TO OR DELAYED RESPONSE TO THE DEPRESSION OF THE GAS PEDAL. THIS IS ESPECIALLY DANGEROUS WHEN TURNING IN INTERSECTIONS AND STOP SIGNS. THIS IS IN ON GOING ISSUE AND HAS HAPPENED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS.
START AND STOP FUNCTION STOPS WORKING AFTER A COUPLE MONTHS START AND STOP LIGHT COMES ON WITH CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON.
PROBLEMS WITH SLOW KICKING INTO GEARS. LIKE IT IS SLIPPING. HARD SHIFTING. IT WILL ALSO UPSHIFT UNEXPECTEDLY GIVING A BURST OF SPEED.
DELAY IN SHIFTING GEARS, DELAY IN ACCELERATING, RPM RISES WITHOUT SLIGHT ACCELERATION. GEAR SHIFT REACTS LATE, CAR SHIFTS BACK AND FORTH . WILL START SHAKING WHILE ACCELERATING AT TIMES.
FRONT HEADBEAMS ON HIGH ARE SO DIM, IT IS A DESIGN FLAW NO ONE EVEN FLASHES ME WHEN ON HIGH BEAM.
FUEL LEVEL SENCOR CIRCUIT RANGE/PERFORMANCE IS NOT CORRECT. FUEL LEVEL DOES NOT GO DOWN UNTIL THE VEHICLE IS AT 1/3 OF GAS.
I'VE HAD TO REPLACE MY LOW BEAMS 10+ TIMES THIS YEAR. THEY KEEP SHORTING OUR. ALSO HAVE TO HAVE MY ENGINE THERMOSTAT REPLACED EVEN THOUGH IT'S WORKING FINE. IT'S ELECTRICAL KEEPS CAUSING MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO COME ON. AND THE FIX IS REPLACING SOMETHING THAT IS FULLY WORKING. AND BECAUSE MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON I CAN'T MAKW IT THROUGH DEQ TO GET TAGS FOR MY CAR. THIS IS THE 3RD (SEPARATE) ELECTRICAL PROBLEM I'VE HAD WITH THIS CAR AND I'M DONE. KEEP SHOULD STAND UP FOR THEIR PRODUCT.
"TAKATA RECALL" JEEP HAS BEEN RUNNING FINE SINCE I BOUGHT IT, DRIVING AROUND YESTERDAY WITH NO ISSUE THEN PULLED INTO THE DRIVEWAY AND PUT IT IN PARK AND SHUT THE JEEP OFF. GOT MY KIDS LOADED UP AND STARTED THE JEEP NOW A BUNCH OF LIGHTS COVER MY DASH AND I CAN NOT SEARCH THROUGH THE MENU ON THE SCREEN. SAYING SERVICE TRANSMISSION. IT WILL VIOLENTLY JERK TWICE WHEN I CAN ONLY ASSUME IT IS SEARCHING FOR REVERSE AND ALSO WHEN PLACED IN DRIVE. LOOKED INTO FORMS AND FOUND THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE TRANSMISSION BUT IS NOT ASSOCIATED WITH MY VIN. YET IT HAS THE RECALLED TRANS AND IS OF THE YEAR AS WELL.
THE GEARS ARE LOCKED AND THE VEHICLE OR THE SHIFTER WILL NOT MOVE. WE STARTED THE CAR TO GO SOMEWHERE AND BACKED IT OUT OF THE GARAGE, STOPPED AND PUT THE CAR IN PARK TO PUT THE OTHER CAR IN THE GARAGE, WHEN WE GOT BACK IN THE JEEP THE GEARS, SHIFTER, WOULD NOT MOVE, NOR WOULD THE CAR. WE FINALLY GOT THE JEEP IN NEUTRAL, THE CAR STILL WOULD NOT MOVE, IT FELT LIKE WE WERE PUSHING A HOUSE, BUT WE FINALLY GOT IT BACK IN THE GARAGE. ALSO, THE NEXT TIME WE TRIED TO SHIFT THE GEARS WHILE IN THE GARAGE TO SHOW MY BROTHER WHO ALSO OWNED A JEEP CHEROKEE THAT HAD A RECALL ON IT. WE PUT THE KEY IN AND CHANGE GEARS TO REVERSE, BUT THE JEEP WOULD NOT MOVE, AND THE GEARS WOULD NOT MOVE BACK TO PARK, SO THE KEYS WAS STUCK IN THE VEHICLE. WE HAD TO FORCE IT BACK TO PART TO GET THE KEYS.
ENTERING HWY 45 MPH . HOOD LATCH LETS'S GO AND HOOD FLYS UP AND CRASHES THE WINDSHIELD AND DENTS THE ROOF. SAFETY LATCH DIDN'T HOLD IT LIKE IT SHOULD NO THE OIL HAD NOT JUST BEEN CHECKED OR CHANGED.
CAR SEEMS TO DOWN SHIFT, SHIFT INTO NUETRAL, SHIFT OR JUMP OUT OF GEAR. SERVICE SHIFTER LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON.HAS HAPPENED WHILE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION ON A CITY STREET.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 JEEP CHEROKEE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE CONTACT DROVE OFF THE ROAD TO AVOID AN ANIMAL IN THE ROAD. BOTH FRONTAL SIDE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED WITHOUT WARNING OR AN IMPACT. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THERE WAS NO BODY DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND WAS AWAITING DIAGNOSTIC TESTING AND REPAIRS. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.

TRANSMISSION ON A ENGINE WITH ONLY 42, 000 MILES
THE TRANSMISSION WAS STUCK IN NEUTRAL AND REQUIRED A TOW TO A DEALERSHIP TO HAVE IT REPAIRED. EVEN THOUGH IT IS UNDER WARRANTY, JEEP DENIED THE WARRANTY CLAIM, AND COULDN'T TELL ME WHY IT HAPPENED.
VEHICLE HAS HAD TRANSMISSION LIGHT COME ON 3 TIMES WITHIN 50K. THE MOST CURRENT INCIDENT OCCURED WHILE DRIVING DOWN A BUSY HIGHWAY. THE VEHICLE SHUTTERED AND RUFUSED TO ACCELERATE. THIS LED TO 3 NEAR MISS COLLISIONS AND FEAR OF DRIVING THE VEHICLE. EACH TIME WE HAVE THE ISSUE THE DEALER SIMPLY FLASHES THE TRANS MISSION WHICH OBVIOUSLY DOESN'T FIX THE PROBLEM.
JUST PURCHASED 2015 CHEROKEE, WHEN FIRST ACCELERATING IT HESITATES AND SEEMS TO NOT SHIFT CORRECTLY AND THEN EVENTUALLY "KICKS IN" AND JERKS HARD. CAUSES MAJOR ISSUES WHILE IN TRAFFIC. ALSO SOUNDS LIKE ITS GOING TO SHUT OFF WHEN SITTING STATIONARY AND IDLING.
AT MULTIPLE, SEEMINGLY RANDOM TIMES, WARNING LIGHTS FLASH REGARDING TRANSMISSION AND OTHER CAR FUNCTIONS, ENGINE STOPS AND TEMPORARILY WON'T RESTART. ON RESTART TRANSMISSION JUMPS HARD. SOFTWARE HAS BEEN UPDATED AND DEALER REPORTS NO RECALL ON THIS VEHICLE. SO FAR HAS JUST HAPPENED WHILE STATIONARY.
LEAKING IN LIFTGATE CAUSED ALL ELECTRICAL INSTRUMENTS TO FAIL ELECTRONIC EMERGENCY BRAKE POWER SUN ROOF STOP/START MODULE HEAD LIGHTS FOG LIGHTS SPEEDOMETER
SOMETIMES WHEN CRUISE CONTROL IS SET VEHICLE WILL ACCELERATE UP TO 10 MPH FASTER THEN SET SPEED. THIS OCCURS EVEN WHEN DRIVING ON A FLAT LEVEL ROAD NO HILLS.HAS ALSO REVVED RPMS UP TO 5 AND SLOWLY DECELERATES ON OWN.
THIS HAPPENS RANDOMLY ON HIGHWAY ROADS MOST TIMES WHEN AT A STOP LIGHT OR SIGN. WHEN ITS TIME TO GO YOU PUSH ON THE GAS IT DOSE NOT MOVE FOR A SECOND THEN LUNGES OR JERKS INTO GEAR,ALSO IN THE LOWER GEARS IT SEAMS TO NOT SHIFT WRIGHT FEELS LIKE THE TRANSMISSION IS SLIPPING. IT IS GOING BACK TO THE DEALER FOR THE THIRD OR FORTH TIME APRIL 10 / 2019. DEALER TELLS ME THEY CANT FIND ANYTHING WRONG.
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON, CODES ARE U1504, U1412, U0001, U1110, U1120, WILL NOT SHIFT, 4WD TEMPORARY UNAVAILABLE MESSAGE COMES ON , STABILITY TRACTION LIGHT COMES ON, ALL SHIFTER GEAR LIGHTS ARE ON, THIS HAD HAPPENED 7 TIMES SINCE I PURCHASED THIS JEEP, ENGINE HAS CUT A COUPLE OF TIMES DURING ALL OF THESE ISSUES!
WE ARE THE ORIGINAL OWNERS OF THE ABOVE VEHICLE. WE HAVE NOTICED EXTREMELY HARD AND UNTIMELY SHIFTING OF GEARS WITH THIS TRANSMISSION. WE HAVE BROUGHT THE VEHICLE TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON NOVEMBER 29, 2018 AND WAS ADVISED THERE IS A RECALL (S55). THE RECALL WAS ADDRESSED, HOWEVER THIS DID NOT FIX THE MATTER. I UNDERSTAND THERE IS A CLASS ACTION CLAIM THAT WE ARE NOW A PARTICIPANT IN REGARDING THIS TRANSMISSION ISSUE.
I HAVE A 2015 JEEP CHEROKEE LIMITED 4X4, WHEN I TRY TO SLOW DOWN OR STOP THE VEHICLE WILL SPEED UP. IT IS LIKE YOU ARE GIVING IT GAS INSTEAD OF APPLYING THE BREAK. IT WAS PURCHASED WITH AROUND 13500 MILES ON THE ODOMETER ON 9-22-2018, IT NOW HAS 21360 MILES AS OF 11-27-2018. THE TRANSMISSION COMPLETELY STOPPED WORKING ON THE HIGHWAY IN TRAFFIC. THE TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT MAKE THE VEHICLE MOVE AND ACTED AS IF IT WAS NOT IN ANY GEAR. IT HAS SEAMED TO HAVE ISSUES FROM THE TIME I PURCHASED IT AND I WAS TOLD BY A JEEP DEALERSHIP THAT IT WAS JUST THE NORMAL WAY THAT THE 9 SPEED TRANSMISSION WORKED. IF THIS IS NORMAL FOR A TRANSMISSION TO FAIL AT 21000 MILES I FEEL THAT IS A MAJOR CONCERN AND A HUGE ISSUE.
WE WERE ON A ROAD TRIP AND ON THE HIGHWAY THE DASHBOARD SAID SERVICE TRANSMISSION AND LOST ACCELERATION WHEN GOING UP HILL OR TRYING TO GO FASTER FROM A STOP. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ALSO CAME ON AT THE SAME TIME OF THE SERVICE TRANSMISSION LIGHT. AFTER THAT, THE CAR HAD TROUBLE SHIFTING AND HAD A HARD TIME TO MOVE AFTER STOPPED.
WHEN SHIFTING THE SERVICE SHIFTER ERROR COMES ON AND ALL THE LIGHTS ON THE SHIFT LIGHT UP RED. YOU HAVE TO STOP THE VEHICLE, PUT IT IN PARK, TURN OFF THE VEHICLE, AND THEN FINALLY RESTART IT BEFORE THE ERROR WILL GO AWAY. THE ERROR WILL ALSO OCCUR WHILE DRIVING WHICH THEN REMOVES THE SPEEDOMETER FROM THE DASH AND ONLY DISPLAYS THE ERROR UNTIL THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TURNED OFF AND THEN BACK ON AGAIN.
9 SPEED TRANSMISSION ISSUE. WHEN COMING TO A STOP THE VEHICLE LUNGES FORWARD AND THEN HESITATES WHEN ACCELERATING. SEEMS TO SHIFT GEARS VERY ROUGH AND IS CONCERNING WHEN IN TRAFFIC. THIS SEEMS TO OCCUR AND MORE NOTICEABLE IN CITY TRAFFIC WITH STOP AND GO TRAFFIC .JUST BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE FROM A REPUTABLE DEALER AND I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED THAT THIS ISSUE WAS NOT BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION. SOFTWARE UPDATE SEEMS TO HAVE MADE THE ISSUE WORSE.
THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. THE 2 PART CHRYSLER WHEEL LUG NUTS RUST AND CANNOT BE REMOVED WHEN YOU HAVE A FLAT TIRE!!!! HELP.
AS I WAS DRIVING TO WORK THIS MORNING, I HEARD A "DING" WHICH DIRECTED MY EYES TO THE SCREEN ON MY DASHBOARD. I HAD A MESSAGE THAT SAID "CAR MUST BE STOPPED TO SHIFT" "SHIFT INTO PARK". ALREADY CONFUSED, MY CAR SHIFTED INTO NEUTRAL BY ITSELF, THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP, AND I LOST TOTAL CONTROL OF MY CAR. THIS IS NOT OKAY. I TURNED MY HAZARDS ON AND TURNED OFF MY CAR COMPLETELY. WHILE STILL IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD, I HAD TO WAIT A TOTAL OF 5 MINUTES BEFORE MY CAR WOULD TURN ON AGAIN. I HAVE RESEARCHED THIS, AND I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE THIS HAS HAPPENED TOO. JEEP NEEDS TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS, AS THEY CLAIM THEY ARE THE MOST AWARDED AMERICAN SUV. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME TWICE NOW.
WHILE FLAT TOWING OUR JEEP LATITUDE BEHIND OUR MOTOR HOME AT 45MPH THE JEEP BEGAN TO WOBBLE VIOLENTLY. WE BOUGHT THE JEEP BRAND NEW IN 2015. WE WERE NEVER NOTIFIED WE NEEDED TO INSTALL A SPECIAL WIRE HARNESS. THE JEEP DEALER INSTALLED OUR TOWING PACKAGE SO THEY NEW IT WAS GOING TO BE TOWED. WE HAVE AN APPOINTMENT THIS TUESDAY TO TRY AND REMEDY THIS DEATH WOBBLE AT OUR OWN EXPENSE. WE ARE LUCKY NO ONE WAS HURT. FROM DOING RESEARCH ON SOCIAL MEDIA I WAS DIRECTED TO BULLETIN KL-08-022-16. WE NEVER RECEIVED ANY NOTIFICATION ON THIS BULLETIN. NOW OUR WARRANTY HAS RUN OUT.
THE CAR STARTED SHAKING WHEN TOWING. WE HAD TO STOP IMMEDIATELY. IT SHOOK SO BAD IT SHOOK THE MOTOR HOME. WE WERE ON A HIGHWAY AND TURNING TO THE RIGHT.

MY 2015 JEEP CHEROKEE EXHIBITS A ROLLING STOP CONDITION WHICH HAPPENS BETWEEN 1-8 MPH. WHEN PRESS ON THE ACCELERATOR, THE RPMS CLIMB BUT VEHICLE DOES NOT MOVE. SUDDENLY THE TRANSMISSION DOWNSHIFTS TO FIRST GEAR FROM THIRD AND SQUEALS THE TIRES PROPELLING IT FORWARD. WHEN PULLING INTO TRAFFIC,OR SLOWING DOWN MAKING A TURN IF I HAVE NOT COME TO A COMPLETE STOP VEHICLE WILL NOT SHIFT CORRECTLY AND HESITATES TO ACCELERATE FOR SEVERAL SECONDS, WHEN IT DOES FINALLY SHIFT IT IS VERY HARD AND WILL LUNGE THE VEHICLE FORWARD.
VEHICLE KEEPS STALLING WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE STREET IN MOTION
WHILE TOWING MY JEEP CHEROKEE BEHIND MY RV, I HAVE ENCOUNTERED SOMETHING KNOWN AS THE 'DEATH WOBBLE'. THIS CAN BE VERY SERIOUS DANGER AS THE STEERING WHEEL OF MY RV WAS SHAKING SO VIOLENTLY, IT WAS UNCONTROLLABLE. THINKING IT WAS MY RV, I SPENT $1200 TO HAVE MY RV EXAMINED ONLY TO FIND OUT LATER THAT IT WAS MY TOWED VEHICLE, A 2015 JEEP CHEROKEE CAUSING THE MASSIVE VIBRATION. THIS CAN BE A VERY SERIOUS DANGER. THINKING IT WAS MY RV, I SPENT $1200 TO HAVE MY RV EXAMINED ONLY TO FIND OUT LATER THAT IT WAS MY 2015 JEEP CHEROKEE CAUSING THE SEVERE VIBRATION. DO I HAVE ANY RECOURSE? WHAT HAS BEEN DONE TO REQUIRE JEEP TO MITIGATE THIS KNOWN PROBLEM? WHAT KIND OF REQUIREMENT DID JEEP HAVE TO NOTIFY ME OF THIS ISSUE? MY SECOND PROBLEM AS TO DO WITH THE TRANSMISSION. AGAIN, THIS PROBLEM AFFECTS ALL JEEP CHEROKEES WITH THE 9-SPEED TRANSMISSION AND IS KNOWN TO JEEP BUT THEY HAVE FAILED TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. I HAVE TAKEN MY VEHICLE IN THREE DIFFERENT OCCASIONS AND EACH TIME THEY HAVE CLAIMED IT REQUIRED A COMPUTER UPDATE. THESE UPDATES NEVER CLEAR THE PROBLEM. WHEN SLOWING DOWN TO ALMOST A STOP, AND PRESSING THE ACCELERATOR, THE VEHICLE HAS DIFFICULTY FINDING A GEAR THEN LURCHES FORWARD. AS YOU COULD IMAGINE, THIS CAN LEAD TO FATAL ACCIDENTS. WHAT RECOURSE DO I HAVE AGAINST JEEP?
SERVICE BRAKE SYSTEM KEEPS COMING ON AFTER MULTIPLE TIMES TAKING IT TO THE DEALER AND THEN FIXING IT . IT WON'T LET ME DRIVE THE VEHICLE AND HAS SLAMMED THE BRAKES ON ME WHILE THE CAR WAS MOVING . I'VE LOOKED UP AND I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE HAVE THIS PROBLEM WITH THE JEEP .

There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. Additionally, on another occasion while driving, the vehicle independently accelerated. The manufacturer was contacted but no additional assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.
VERY HARD SHIFTING 1-4 GEARS. BAD ENOUGH IT FEELS LIKE YOU'RE GETTING REAR ENDED. ACCELERATES ON ITS OWN AT TIMES DURING SHIFTING. JUST TOOK IT TO A LOCAL ONLY FOR THEM TO TELL ME THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. THERE ARE RECALLS ON MILLIONS OF THESE TRANSMISSIONS BUT NOT ON MINE ACCORDING THE VIN NUMBER.
2015 JEEP CHEROKEE RADIATOR LEAK, NEEDS REPLACEMENT, VEHICLE METICULOUSLY MAINTAINED, SERVICED BY LOCAL CHRYSLER/DODGE/JEEP DEALER. THREE YEAR OLD VEHICLE WITH 70,000 SHOULD NOT NEED A RADIATOR REPLACEMENT. WONDERING IF THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE THAT SHOULD BE COVERED UNDER A RECALL.
WHILE ENGAGED, AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION EXPERIENCES DELAYED, OR SUDDEN SHIFTING, CAUSING A GRINDING NOISE OR THUD SOUND DURING SHIFTING. ALTERNATIVELY, THERE APPEARS TO BE A HARSH ENGAGEMENT OF GEARS OR REDUCED POWER WHEN THE VEHICLE SHIFTS INTO GEAR.
PERIODICALLLY, CAR WILL NOT START AT FIRST. WHEN IT DOES, IT SAYS SERVICE TRANSMISSION. TRANSMISSION JUMPS AND WILL NOT SHIFT INTO SECOND. WHEN IT IS SO SHIFT, THE TRANSMISSION DIES. I HAVE TO STOP, PUT IT IN PARK AND START OVER.
