I KEEP GETTING A SERVICE SHIFTER LIGHT ON DASH AFTER DRIVING 30 SOME MILES. I TURN THE CAR OFF AND THEN BACK ON AND IT GOES AWAY. I WILL ALSO GET A NO STOP START AVAILABLE EVERY OTHER TIME I START MY CAR. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO MY MECHANIC BUT HE CAN NOT FIND ANYTHING IN THE CAR LOG ABOUT THE PROBLEMS I AM HAVING. I HAVE READ THAT OTHER JEEP OWNERS HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM BUT IT SEEMS THERE WAS NO REAL SOLUTION.
AT 15,000 MILES MY SERVICE SHIFTER LIGHT WOULD TURN ON. I HAVE TO PULL OVER, PUT THE VEHICLE IN PARK AND SHUT OFF THE VEHICLE. THIS HAPPENS AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH. WHEN I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP THEY SAID THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO ABOUT IT IF THE LIGHT WASN'T ACTIVELY ON.
ALTERNATOR IS DEAD ON 2017 JEEP CHEROKEE AT ROUGHLY 50K MILES. WAS BRAND NEW WHEN PURCHASED IN MARCH 2017 & HAVE HAD SERVICE SHIFTER MESSAGE POP UP SEVERAL TIMES. CAR HAS TURNED OFF WHILE DRIVING. AND NOW ALTERNATOR HAS DIED. TOOK TO DEALERSHIP EVERY TIME VEHICLE HAD AN ISSUE. DEALERSHIP DID A SOFTWARE UPDATE. COULDN'T EXPLAIN WHY CAR KEPT TURNING OFF WHILE DRIVING. NOW AT ALMOST 3 YEARS OLD & 50K MILES THE VEHICLE NEEDS A NEW ALTERNATOR.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 JEEP CHEROKEE. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE SERVICE SHIFTER WARNING INDICATOR SUDDENLY ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE. AFTER SHUTTING THE VEHICLE OFF AND RESTARTING THE ENGINE, THE VEHICLE OPERATED NORMALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO KAMAAINA MOTORS (400 E. KAWILI ST, HILO, HI) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE SHIFTER WIRING HARNESS WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 21,451.
VEHICLE EXHAUST SYSTEM HAS ROTTEN EGG SMELL. CAR HAS BEEN TAKEN TO JEEP DEALER 34 TIMES AND THEY HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIX CAR.
SERVICE SHIFTER MESSAGE POPPED UP. ALL LIGHTS ON SHIFTER CAME ON.
TRANSMISSION SHIFTS WHEN IT WANTS, GET STUCK IN GEARS AND SHIFTS HARD. HAS ALMOST CAUSED ME MULTIPLE ACCIDENTS. HAVE TAKEN IT TO JEEP MULTIPLE TIMES- THEY HAVE ZERO ANSWERS FOR ME. MY CAR ISN'T RUNNING ANY ERROR CODES SO THEY WILL NOT ADDRESS ANY ISSUES.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN REVERSE OR DRIVING AT 55 MPH, THE VEHICLE INDEPENDENTLY SHIFT TO 1ST GEAR WITHOUT WARNING, AND THE FRONT WHEEL SEIZED INTERMITTENTLY. THE CONTACT RESTARTED THE VEHICLE AND THE VEHICLE OPERATED AS INTENDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. NEITHER THE DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 58,000.
SERVICE SHIFTER CONTINOUSLY COMES ON. SPOKE WITH DEALERSHIP THEY SAY JUST TO TURN OFF AND TURN BACK ON TO FIX. PROBLEM WILL REOCCUR EVERY 100 MILES.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 JEEP CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE STALLED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS WHILE DRIVING AT SPEEDS BETWEEN 55-70 MPH. THE CONTACT STATED THAT VEHICLE JERKED AND LOSS MOTIVE POWER WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO KEEP THE VEHICLE UNDER CONTROL WHILE RESTARTING THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO REYNOLDS FORD (1900 AVENUE OF THE CITIES, EAST MOLINE, IL 61244, (309) 792-9530) WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED. THE VEHICLE WAS ALSO TAKEN TO KEY CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (3700 16TH STREET DIRECTION, MOLINE, IL 61265 (309) 524-52747). BOTH DEALERS PERFORMED DIAGNOSTIC TESTS BUT, WERE UNABLE TO LOCATE A FAILURE CODE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 68,000. INVALID VIN.
MY CAR HAS THE 2.4 L ENGINE. IT HAS BEEN BURNING OFF A LOT OF OIL. THE DEALER CHANGED THE OIL AT 12,200 MILES ON APRIL 2, 2019. WE CHECKED THE OIL LEVEL LAST WEEK AND IT WAS LOW BY 2 QUARTS. WE TOOK IT BACK TO DEALER AND THE CHANGED OIL AND STARTED A OIL CONSUMPTION TEST. WE ARE BOTH RETIRED AND DRIVE ONLY ABOUT 6,000 MILES PER YEAR. WE PURCHASED THE JEEP NEW IN MARCH 2017 WITH 11 MILES AT 5500 MILES IN NOVEMBER 2017 WE ALSO HAD A "OIL LEAK" SYMPTOMS. GOOGLE THIS PROBLEM ON THE INTERNET REVEALS MANY CUSTOMERS OF THIS 2.4L JEEP AND CHRYSLER ENGINE HAVE PROBLEMS OF OIL " BLOWING OUT" . THE DEALER SAID NO "LOW OIL " LIGHT WILL WARN YOU OF LOW OIL PROBLEM. THEY SAID THE CAR WILL STOP RUNNING WHILE DRIVING. I FIND THIS RESULT TO BE UNSAFE AND UNACCEPTABLE. WHAT IS THE NHTSA DOING ABOUT THIS COMMON PROBLEM?

THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE LOCAL DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
MY 2017 JEEP CHEROKEE HAS 44,000 MILES ON IT. WHEN I TURNED IT ON THIS MORNING I GOT A MESSAGE THAT SAID "SHIFTER SERVICE". I HADN'T SHIFTED OR ANYTHING AT THAT POINT. I DROVE FOR ABOUT 10 BLOCKS AND IT STAYED ON THE WHOLE TIME. I THEN TURNED OFF THE CAR FOR A FEW MINUTES. WHEN I TURNED IT BACK ON, THE MESSAGE HAD DISAPPEARED. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID IT COULD BE SOMETHING AS SIMPLE AS A LOOSE WIRE, OR AS COMPLEX AS AN ENTIRE SYSTEM REPLACEMENT. I'VE READ ONLINE THAT MANY PEOPLE ARE GETTING THIS SAME MESSAGE. AT THIS TIME THERE'S NO RECALL FOR IT.
I PUT MY CAR IN DRIVE AFTER BACKING UP AND ALL THE LIGHTS ON THE SHIFTER ILLUMINATED AND I GOT THE NOTICE TO "SERVICE SHIFTER ". I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND RESTARTED AND THE SHIFTER WAS NORMAL AGAIN.
STOPPED AT A STOP SIGN WHILE DRIVING. ALL THE GEAR SELECTION LIGHTS CAME ON ALONG WITH "SERVICE SHIFTER" MESSAGE ON DASH DISPLAY. I HAD TO SHUT OFF ENGINE AND RESTART TO GET THEM TO TURN OFF. OPERATED NORMALLY AFTER THAT. DEALER SAYS CODE READER FAULT SAYS THAT SHIFTER WIRING HARNESS AND BEZEL HAVE TO BE REPLACED. SOME TYPE OF SHORT IN WIRING. THEY SAY IT IS NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY. I SEE OTHER YEARS OF THIS VEHICLE HAVE BEEN RECALLED DUE TO THIS ISSUE. NOT SURE WHY NOT THE 2017.
WARNINGS START RUNNING THROUGH DASH, SERVICE AIRBAG, SERVICE PARK BREAK, SERVICE SHIFTER, SHIFTER LIGHTS ALL LIGHT UP, JEEP FALLS OUT OF GEAR. HAS TO BE SHUT OFF AND RESTARTED SEVERAL TIMES TO GET IT TO EVEN MOVE, STARTS ALL OVER AGAIN. I SEE THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM AND NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. COULD CAUSE A VERY BAD ACCIDENT IF IT OCCURS ON THE OPEN ROAD.
FOR THE PAST 12 MONTHS WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION DURING DIFFERENT TIMES OF THE DRIVING CYCLE (DRIVE, PARK, IDLE) A "SERVICE SHIFTER" LIGHT APPEARS ON THE DASH. AT THIS TIME NO OTHER LIGHT APPEARS (CHECK ENGINE, LOW OIL, ELECTRICAL ISSUE.) THIS OCCURS WHEN THE CAR HAS JUST BEEN STARTED, DRIVING, OR PARKED. IT DOES NOT MATTER THE TEMPERATURE OF THE CAR. THIS HAS BEEN NOTED BY PHOTOS OF THE SERVICE LIGHT ALSO WITH THE MILEAGE OF THE CAR. THE ISSUE SOMETIMES RESULTS IN THE CAR TURNING ITSELF OFF WHILE IT IS IN DRIVE. WHEN THIS OCCURS THE CAR MUST SIT FOR A PERIOD OF TIME FROM 1 MINUTE TO 30 MINUTES THEN THE CAR WILL TURN BACK ON WITHOUT ISSUE. THE LIGHT APPEARS WITHOUT ANY KNOWN CAUSE OR CONTRIBUTING FACTOR. THE CAR HAS BEEN TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP WHICH IT WAS PURCHASED. THE CAR HAS A SERVICE CONTRACT. WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN THE SHOP AT THE DEALERSHIP THE LIGHT IS NOT ON. THE DEALERSHIP CLAIMS THAT THIS ISSUE CANNOT BE DIAGNOSED UNLESS THE LIGHT IS ON. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE ON TWO OCCASIONS AS IT WOULD NOT START FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME. THIS ISSUE HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED. THIS ISSUE DOES NOT INVOLVE ANY RECALLED PARTS OR PRODUCTS. THE DEALERSHIP DENIES ANY KNOWLEDGE OF THIS HAPPENING TO OTHER VEHICLES. THROUGH A SIMPLE ONLINE SEARCH I FOUND THAT THERE ARE MANY OTHER DRIVERS AND VEHICLES WITH THIS EXACT ISSUE. THIS POSES A SAFETY THREAT AS THE CAR TURNS ITSELF OFF WHILE IT IS IN DRIVE. IT IS MY FEAR THAT THIS MAY OCCUR WHILE DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY. THIS HAS ONLY OCCURRED TO THIS POINT ON A RESIDENTIAL STREET. THE VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY AT THE DEALERSHIP PENDING REPAIRS, BUT THEY NOTED AS IT IS AN INTERMITTENT ISSUE IT IS UNLIKELY THAT THEY WILL BE ABLE TO DIAGNOSE OR REPAIR.
I BROUGHT A 2016 JEEP CHEROKEE IN JULY 2017. I WAS HAVING ISSUES WITH THE CAR THE FIRST MONTH I BROUGHT IT. VEHICLE LOSES POWER WHILE DRIVING, ENGINE SHUTS DOWN, STEERING LOCKS AND THE DASH LIGHTS UP WITH A MESSAGE THAT SAYS PUT VEHICLE AND "PARK" AND THEN SELECT DESIRED GEAR.THIS ISSUES HAS HAPPENED TWICE ONCE I WAS AT AN INTERSECTION AND THE SECOND TIME I WAS ON THE FREEWAY. THIS HAS HAPPENED 3 TIMES IN THE LAST MONTH. THIS IS DANGEROUS AND SCARY AS THIS COULD HAVE CAUSED A COLLISION. I KEEP MY VEHICLE UP TO DATE ON MAINTENANCE/SERVICE. IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE THAT I AM PAYING A CAR PAYMENT, HAVE LESS THAN 62,000 MILES ON A LESS THAN 3 YEAR OLD VEHICLE, AND HAVING THESE KIND OF SAFETY CONCERNS. . TODAY, MY CAR DIED WITH NO WARNING ON A BUSY ROAD, GIVES ME APPROXIMATELY 10 SECONDS TO PULL TO SAFETY BEFORE THERE IS NO SPEED/ABILITY TO MANEUVER THE VEHICLE. IT IS RIDICULOUS THAT THE RISK IS SO HIGH, AND THE NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS LISTED ON LINE SHOW A SERIOUS ISSUE WITH THIS AMONG HUNDREDS OF VEHICLES BY JEEP AND NOTHING. THE DEALERSHIPS/SERVICE CONTINUE TO MAKE COMMENTS LIKE "WE WERE UNABLE TO REPLICATE THE ISSUE". TO BE SPECIFIC: DRIVING AT ABOUT 25 MILES PER HOUR, STRAIGHT FOLLOWING A RIGHT TURN. . . . LOST POWER. LIGHTS WENT ON THE DASH, MESSAGE ABOVE APPEARED. IT TOOK TWO TRIES TO RESTART TO GET ME OUT OF THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD.I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO THE DEALER AND THEY HAD NO EXPLANATION FOR ME BOTH TIMES THIS HAPPENED. AS SOON AS THEY WOULD CONNECT IT TO DIAGNOSE THEY SAID THE CODES WOULD CLEAR AND THE CAR WAS WORKING. ITS A WASTE OF MONEY BECAUSE IM GOING TO GET THE SAME ANSWER. I JUST DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO NOW. THIS CAR HAS BUT MY CHILDREN AND MY LIFE IN DANGER. CHRYSTLER AND JEEP WILL NOT ACKNOWLEDGE THE FACT THEY HAVE A MAJOR ISSUE WITH THEIR JEEPS ENGINE. I GUESS JEEP WILL RESOLVED THIS ISSUE WHEN SOMEONE GET IN AN ACCIDENT OR DIE.

2017 JEEP CHEROKEE STARTED AND PLACED IN DRIVE OR REVERSE. ALL SHIFTER LIGHTS COME ON AND DASHBOARD DISPLAYS MESSAGE "SERVICE SHIFTER" AND TRANSMISSION IS LOCKED OUT. HAVE TO SHUT DOWN AND RESTART VEHICLE TO CLEAR ERROR MESSAGE AND GET TRANSMISSION TO WORK. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES. VEHICLE ONLY HAS 25,000 MILES ON IT. I SEE ON WEB BLOG THAT MULTIPLE OWNERS OF 2016, 2017, 2018, AND 2019 JEEP CHEROKEES HAVE SAME PROBLEM. DEALERS CLAIM EITHER NEVER SEEN BEFORE (LIES), OR PERFORM SOFTWARE UPDATE, OR REPLACE SHIFTER AND WIRING HARNESS. THIS DOES NOT ALWAYS FIX THE PROBLEM.
GETTING A SERVICE SHIFTER MESSAGE. ALL LIGHTS ON THE SHIFTER ARE ILLUMINATED AND WILL NOT GO AWAY. TURN CAR OFF, RESTART, SHORTLY AFTER MESSAGE REAPPEARS SERVICE SHIFTER. THIS IS DONE IN A STATIONARY POSITION.
SERVICE SHIFTER WARNING KEEPS COMING ON EVEN AFTER BEING TAKEN TO DEALERSHIP. ALL LIGHTS ON THE GEAR SHIFT TURN RED AND STAY ON. WHILE THIS IS HAPPENING THERE APPEARS TO BE A MISFIRE IN ONE OF THE GEARS.
I HAVE 2 2017 JEEP CHEROKEES. WITHIN A FEW WEEKS, BOTH HAVE HAD THE "SERVICE SHIFTER" LIGHT COME ON. ONE WAS UNDER WARRANTY SO I TOOK IN FOR DIAGNOSIS AND REPAIR. SAID WAS WIRING HARNESS & BEZEL. I TOOK THE OTHER JEEP IN. SAME DIAGNOSIS,BUT WANTED $107 FOR DIAGNOSIS AND MORE THAN $300 TO FIX.AFTER RESEARCHING THIS PROBLEM I HAVE SEEN THAT MANY, MANY JEEPS HAVE THIS ISSUE (SEE CARGURU.COM FOR SOME INSTANCES). FROM THIS RESEARCH, I HAVE ALSO LEARNED THAT IT'S POSSIBLY A SAFETY ISSUE WITH THIS PROBLEM. MY HUSBAND AND I WERE JUST DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD, AND THE DISPLAY FOR SERVICE SHIFTER CAME ON. NO PREVIOUS ISSUES. I WAS TRULY SCARED TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE AFTER THAT!THE FACT THAT NO RECALL HAS BEEN ISSUED IS INCREDIBLE! IT'S GOING TO CAUSE AN ACCIDENT! AND THE FACT THAT A LOT OF JEEPS HAVE THE SIMILAR PROBLEM LEADS ME TO BELIEVE THAT THERE IS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT OF THESE JEEPS. SOME DRIVERS WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS HAVE LOST CONTROL OF THEIR STEERING AND THE CARS CANT BE PUT IN PARK. THE VIN NUMBER FOR MY JEEP WITH THE SAME PROBLEM IS [XXX] 4X4, THE DATES AND MILEAGE AND SPEED OF TRAVEL HAS BEEN ESTIMATED AS MY HUSBAND CANT REMEMBER THE EXACT DATES,READINGS,ETC. WHEN I STARTED MY CAR, A "SERVICE SHIFTER" MESSAGE APPEARED ON MY DASHBOARD SCREEN & EVERY GEAR ON THE SHIFTER TURNED RED. I TURNED MY CAR OFF & BACK ON AGAIN. THE MESSAGE & RED COLORS ON THE SHIFTER APPEARED, AGAIN. I THEN TURNED MY CAR OFF & BACK ON AGAIN, & THE MESSAGE & COLORS DID NOT APPEAR.

THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED TO THE FLOORBOARD; HOWEVER, THE FORWARD MOMENTUM WAS MINIMAL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTO ZONE AS WELL AS AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE DIAGNOSED, BUT NEITHER MECHANIC COULD RETRIEVE A FAULT CODE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED ONLY WHEN THE GEAR SHIFT LEVER WAS PLACED IN THE DRIVE POSITION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS INTERMITTENT. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 78,000.
SERVICE SHIFTER LIGHT CAME ON WHILE DRIVING ON A CITY STREET AND ALL THE LIGHTS ON THE SHIFTER GLOWED RED. PRND. DROVE FOR A WHILE SHUT CAR OFF AND IT WENT AWAY. THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE NOW .DEALER CLAIMS THEY HAVE NEVER HEARD OF IT. BY THE AMOUNT OF COMPLAINTS ON LINE I CLAIM THEY ARE LYING.
CAR WITH JUST OVER 20K MILES AND A "SERVICE SHIFTER" MESSAGE APPEARED. ALL THE LIGHTS ON THE CONSOLE ARE LIGHTED UP (PNRD AND +-). SHIFT PATTERN WAS ODD THE DAY BEFORE.
STARTING 2/23/19 WARNING LIGHTS FOR PARK BRAKE, SHIFTER, 4WD, PARK ASSIST, TIRE PRESSURE AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. WENT AWAY AFTER DRIVING DOWN ROAD. DID IT AGAIN 7/10/19, TOOK TO DEALER. THEY PATCHED A TIRE AND SAID NOTHING ELSE WAS WRONG. DID IT AGAIN 7/16/19. TOOK TO DEALER, THEY KEPT A FEW DAYS, SAID THEY COULDN'T FIND AN ISSUE. DID IT AGAIN 9/13/19. DID NOT TAKE TO DEALER. DID IT AGAIN 9/27/19 AND THIS TIME CAR HAD TROUBLE DRIVING. DEALER WILL NOT DO ANYTHING TO FIX THIS ISSUE! THIS IS RIDICULOUS!

THE CONTACT QUICKLY DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT HE SHIFTED FROM PARK INTO DRIVE SEVERAL TIMES, BUT THE VEHICLE WAS STILL ROLLING IN REVERSE AND THE ENGINE REVVED. ON SEPT. 18, 2019, THE GEAR SHIFT LIGHTS ALL CAME ON, THE CAR DINGED AND THE DASHBOARD SAID CHECK GEARSHIFT. I AM NOW 49,000 MILES AND OUT OF WARRANTY. I READ ONLINE THERE ARE MANY COMPLAINTS OF THE GEAR SHIFT/TRANSMISSION ON JEEPS INCLUDING MINE, A CHEROKEE.

CRUSIE CONTROL DOES NOT MAINTAIN SET SPEED LEVEL. WHEN SPEED IS SET, THE CRUISE CONTROL WILL RAPIDLY INCREASE BY 10 TO 15 MPH. THE SPEED SET POINT DID NOT CHANGE, BUT THE CAR INCREASES IN SPEED. IT DID NOT RETURN TO THE SET POINT. THE CRUISE CONTROL IS ABLE TO BE DISENGAGED.
MY JEEP COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN WHILE I WAS DRIVING. I WAS APPROXIMATELY 1/2 MILE FROM HOME, MADE A LEFT TURN AND EVERYTHING SHUT DOWN. I WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 32MPH. IT DID RESTART AFTER ABOUT 15 MINUTES AND I QUICKLY DROVE BACK HOME AND HAVE NOT DRIVEN IT SINCE.

CAR CONTINUED TO DRIVE NORMALLY, SO I CONTINUED HOME, AND SHUT OFF CAR. AFTER A SHORT TIME, RESTARTED CAR, AND FAULT HAD CLEARED. WITH A LITTLE RESEARCH, I HAVE FOUND MANY COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER JEEP CHEROKEE OWNERS WITH THIS SAME ISSUE, AND IT IS AN EXPENSIVE FIX. THE CAR IS JUST PAST THE 360000 MILE WARRANTY LIMIT BY 70 MILES! I AM ACTUALLY SURPRISED I MADE IT THAT MANY MILES, BEFORE THIS OCCURRED. I WILL BE TAKING THE CAR IN ON MONDAY, BUT FOR SOME REASON, I AM NOT HOPEFUL, BASED ON OTHER OWNER EXPERIENCES.

THE MECHANIC INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE FAILURE COULD OCCUR AT ANY MOMENT. WHEN THE FAILURE OCCURRED, THE CONTACT COULD NOT SHIFT THE VEHICLE OUT OF GEAR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE CONTACT FOUND NO RECALLS RELATED TO THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 43,500.

WHILE VEHICLE IN MOTION ON SEVERAL OCCASION NOW FOR 2 MONTHS, THE SHIFTER LIGHTS WILL ALL COME ON, THEN I GET A MESSAGE TO SERVICE SHIFTER SOON. WAS EXPLAINED TO ME THAT THIS IS HAS TO DO WITH WIRING HARNESS AND SHIFTER ASSEMBLY. ALL TIMES, THIS HAS HAPPENED WHILE CAR WAS MOVING.

WHEN USING CRUISE CONTROL, IT THE RPMS WILL JUMP FROM BETWEEN 1 -2 TO 5 VERY QUICKLY AND THE SPEED WILL INCREASE FROM 65 MPH TO 75MPH FOR NO REASON. THIS OCCURS WHETHER I AM DRIVING ON A STRAIGHTAWAY, UP A HILL, OR DOWN HILL. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS AND IS HAPPENING MORE FREQUENTLY. IT OCCURS RANDOMLY AND IS VERY SCARY.
THIS FIRST STARTED BACK IN SEPTEMBER 2019 TURNED THE CAR ON AND THE 'SERVICE SHIFT' LIGHT CAME ON. FOLLOWED BY THE CHECK AIR BAGS. I TURNED IT OFF AND BACK ON AGAIN, AND IT WAS GONE.THEN ABOUT A WEEK LATER, THE SAME THING HAPPENED - THEN A FEW DAYS AFTER THAT, MY ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON.
