I WAS SITTING IN TRAFFIC ON THE 105 FREEWAY, AT APPROXIMATELY 2-3 MILES PER HOUR, AND MY CAR SUDDENLY LUNGED FORWARD HITTING THE OTHER CAR IN FRONT OF ME, MY FOOT WAS ON THE BRAKE THE ENTIRE TIME. TIME OF OCCURRENCE WAS JAN 28, 2019 APPROXIMATELY 2:30PM.
WHILE DRIVING MY 2019 JEEP CHEROKEE I WAS ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY IN COLORADO. THE ROADS WERE NOT ICY OR COVERED IN SNOW. TRAFFIC CAME TO AN ABRUPT STOP IN FRONT OF ME. I PUT ON THE BRAKES, PUSHING DOWN ALL THE WAY AS FAST AS I COULD. THERE WAS CLOSE TO 2 CAR LENGTHS BETWEEN ME AND THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME, BUT MY VEHICLE WAS TAKING FOREVER TO STOP. IT ULTIMATELY DID NOT STOP IN TIME AND I HIT THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME. BOTH THE VEHICLES WERE DAMAGED AND I BROKE MY HAND. THE ENTIRE TIME I WAS BRAKING IT FELT LIKE THE CAR SHOULD HAVE STOPPED A LOT QUICKER BUT IT JUST WAS NOT STOPPING. I SAW THERE HAS BEEN ISSUES WITH THE BRAKES ON THE 2019 JEEP CHEROKEES.
1/23/19 8:10 AM FRONT GLASS PANEL OF PANORAMIC SUNROOF EXPLODED WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY. THERE WAS NO ROCK OR OBJECT THAT HIT MY VEHICLE, JUST AN EXPLOSION TYPE NOISE. I PULLED OFF THE FREE AND FOUND NO OBJECTS IN THE SUNROOF WELL. I WENT DIRECTLY TO THE DEALER WHO FELT ANROCK CAUSED THIS AND COULD NOT AND WOULD NOT HELP ME AND SAID HE'D NEVER HEARD OF THAT. THEY DID NOT EVEN LOG MY VISIT TO THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT. I CONTACTED CHRYSLER WHO SAID THEY WILL DO ANYTHING SINCE THE SERVICE TECH AT DEALER LOOKED AT AND SAW NO DEFECT TO THE FRAME. FORTUNATELY, I HAD MY INTERIOR PORTION OF THE SUNROOF CLOSED AND MAINTAINED CONTROL OF MY VEHICLE. THIS WAS NOT CAUSED BY ROAD DEBRI OR OTHER PRIOR INCIDENT AND JUST EXPLODED. I AM REPORTING THIS AS OTHERS MAY BE REFUSED BY THE DEALER AS I WAS AND IT NOT BE INVESTIGATED OR IGNORED.
While stopped @ traffic light or stop signs, when start to go car jumps when gas is applied. Has not been reported to anyone yet, no warning lights displayed. Has not caused accident as of yet. Electrical equipment has had problems since came off lot.@ times usb ports work @different times.it says to connect device every time even when it's plugged in already, I'm not sure if jumping is motor or transmission. I was told by dealership ( salesman) that the problem with USB problem was ok. I'm afraid it may cause safety issues in the future ( jerking engine).
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 JEEP CHEROKEE. WHILE DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND RESTARTED AND ALL THE WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, THE VEHICLE REVVED, BUT DID NOT ACCELERATE. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED. THE VEHICLE WAS CURRENTLY AT AKINS FORD (220 W MAY ST, WINDER, GA 30680, (770) 867-9136) FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,000.
VEHICLE STALLS WHEN DRIVING AT ANY SPEED. EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. *DT*JB
VEH. STALLS WHILE DRIVING , WENT BACK TO DEALER 2TIMES THEY SAY IT'S FINE. THIS IS ON SAFE AS IT HAPPENS ON HIGHWAY WITH NO WARNING, THEY TELL ME THAT THE DASH LIGHT IS NOT ON NOW SO WE CAN'T FIX IT
MY JEEP HAS 8300 MILES ON IT AND I WAS DRIVING 45 MPH AND A WARNING CAME ON THE INFO SCREEN AS WELL AS A DING SOUND, SHIFTER SERVICE? I LOOKED AND ALL THE LIGHTS WERE LIT ON THE SHIFTER (DNR =-) I DROVE IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY HAD ME TURN IT OFF AND THEN BACK ON AND IT WENT AWAY AND SETUP APPOINTMENT FOR THE NEXT MORNING TO DO A UPDATE? WELL THAT WAS DONE AND THEY SAID IT STILL NEEDED REPLACED(SHIFTER) WAITING ON PARTS, WAS TOLD IT WAS SAFE TO DRIVE. 3 TIMES NOW ONCE WHILE BACKING IT DID IT AGAIN, THE OTHER 2 TIMES I WAS DRIVING ON LEVEL PAVEMENT. I AM WORRIED ABOUT THE FACT THIS IS A SWITCH CONTROLLED NOT A SHIFTER WITH MECH DEVICE THAT CHANGES GEARS. IS IT SAFE TO DRIVE??
UCONNECT SYSTEM MALFUNCTIONING. WHILE DRIVING IT AUTOMATICALLY SWITCH THE CONTROLS BETWEEN RADIO TO CAR PLAY TO A/C HIGH FAN SPEED AND CHANGE HEATING SETTINGS - IT REPEATS IT OVER AND OVER ENABLING RANDOM FUNCTIONS WITHOUT ALLOWING US TO CONTROL IT. FINALLY NEED TO SWITCH OFF ENTIRE SYSTEM ELSE WE CANNOT DRIVE THE CAR SAFELY. *DT*JB
MY 2019 JEEP CHEROKEE LOSES POWER AND WILL NOT ACCELERATE. THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED THERE WAS ONLY 2400 MILES ON IT. IT SLOWED BY ITSELF AND WHEN THE GAS WAS PRESSED IT JUST KEPT SLOWING AND THE RPMS REVVED TO 5000 AND IT WOULD NOT GO ANYWHERE. HAD TO PUT IN PARK AND THEN BACK IN DRIVE AND IT ONLY CREPT AT 15MPH UNTIL I GOT HOME. TOWED IT TO DEALER AND COULD NOT DUPLICATE. RAN FINE FOR AWHILE. NOW THERE IS 3300 MILES AND IT IS DOING IT AGAIN. THIS TIME IT STALLED AND A LIGHT SAID COULD NOT SHIFT. IT WAS IN THE AUTOMATIC MODE NOT MANUAL SHIFT. LOST BRAKES AND STEERING AND DRIFTED INTO MY YARD. CAME TO A STOP CLOSE TO MY HOUSE. WAITED A FEW HOURS AND IT RAN FINE. A DAY LATER I WAS MAKING A LEFT TURN AND IT STOPPED IN THE NEXT LANE. I HIT THE GAS AND NOTHING THEN IT TOOK OFF LIKE A RABBIT JUMPING AND PULSING. I ALMOST GOT HIT BY A DUALLY WITH A COW TRAILER. GOT HOME AND PARKED IT. CALLED DEALER AND THEY STATED TO HAVE IT TOWED AND WOULD LOOK AT IT IN A FEW DAYS. I CALLED JEEP TO HAVE IT TOWED AND THEY REFUSED SAYING THAT I COULD NOT GO TO THE DEALER WHERE I BOUGHT IT BUT HAD TO GO TO THE ONE A FEW MILES FROM MY HOUSE. I ENDED UP USING MY PERSONAL CAR INSURANCE TO HAVE IT TOWED. THE DIFFERENCE IN MILES WAS 6. WHY WOULD THEY NOT TOW IT ANOTHER 6 MILES? IT SHOULD BE CUSTOMER PREFERENCE WITHIN REASON. NO DUPLICATION AT DEALER. WENT TO WORK AND IT RAN FINE. IT ONLY SEEMS TO DO IT IN THE RAIN OR IF IT IS WET. HOWEVER TODAY IT WAS RAINING AND IT RAN FINE. IT IS FRUSTRATING SINCE THE DEALER CAN NOT DUPLICATE. WHY DID I BUY A CAR THAT I AM SCARED OF DRIVING? A NEW CAR SHOULD BE SAFE AND RELIABLE. I CANNOT TRAVEL TO MY DOCTOR WHO IS 5 HOURS AWAY. I AM AFRAID TO GO AROUND THE CORNER. I NEVER KNOW IF I AM GOING TO STALL OR LOSE POWER. IT IS DANGEROUS AND UNCALLED FOR. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE. I WILL NOT OWN ANOTHER JEEP PRODUCT. $34000 FOR A CRAP CAR.
VEHICLE ENGINE SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING AT AROUND 20-30MPH (STALLED OUT) AND FLASHED THE BATTERY LIGHT. HOWEVER, AFTER COMING TO A STOP AND PUTTING THE CAR INTO PARK, THE CAR STARTED BACK UP AND RESUMED NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS. AND THE BATTERY LIGHT DISSAPEARED. THE CAR REGULARLY STALLS WHEN IDLING AFTER COMING TO A STOP. THE RPMS WILL FALL TO ZERO, AND REMAIN THERE UNTIL I PRESS THE GAS; AT WHICH TIME, THE CAR RESUMES A NORMAL IDLE AND I CAN CONTINUE DRIVING. THIS PROCESS DOESN'T SEEM TO BE AN ENERGY SAVING FEATURE. IF SO, IT IS HIGHLY ERRATIC AND UNPREDICTABLE.
BRAND NEW JEEP CHEROKEE LATITUDE PLUS 4X4 V6 9 SPEED,3,100 MILES. THE CHEROKEE HAS A GRINDING NOISE GOING OVER SPEED BUMPS IN THE BACK OF THE CAR. SOUNDS LIKE GEARS AREN'T MESHING PROPERLY. I HAVE TO TURN OFF THE TRACTION CONTROL EVERY TIME I GO OVER A SPEED BUMP TO CORRECT THE ISSUE. RPMS GET SUPER HIGH BEFORE THE JEEP DECIDES TO CHANGE GEARS AND KICK UP. THE OTHER ISSUE IS THE CAR LURCHES FORWARD WHEN I BRAKE COMING TO A STOP. NOT ALWAYS BUT ENOUGH TO MAKE ME WEARY IN PARKING LOTS. MOSTLY DRIVE IN THE CITY.
THE CAR COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT ON A SNOWY MOUNTAIN ROAD. ALL LIGHTS AND EVERYTHING COMPLETELY SHUT OFF. I WAS ABLE TO STOP IN THE OPPOSING LANE OF TRAFFIC AND RESTART THE VEHICLE BEFORE BEING STRUCK. THE VEHICLE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM CONTINUED TO FLASH INTO WARNING AND LIMP MODE SEVERAL TIMES BUT WE WERE 100'S OF MILES FROM A DEALERSHIP. WE CONTINUED WITH THE PROBLEM UNTIL WE WERE ABLE TO LIMP HOME AND BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP. THE VEHICLE ALSO REVVED UP TO 4000 RPM WHILE MY FOOT WAS ON THE BRAKE AND NOT TOUCHING THE ACCELERATOR. THE LOW TIRE LIGHTS KEPT ROTATING TO DIFFERENT TIRES AS I DROVE WITH NONE BEING LOW. THE DEALERSHIP SAID IT WAS A VACUUM LINE AND THEY DROVE IT FOR 10 MILES WITHOUT RESULT. THIS VEHICLE ALMOST KILLED US ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS.
THE FIRST TIME I HAD A PROBLEM WITH THIS CAR WAS A FEW DAYS AFTER I RECEIVED IT IN DEC 2018. POWER STEERING WENT OFF WHILE I WAS DRIVING IT. THE DEALERSHIP WAS CLOSED SO I DID NOT BRING IT INTO THE DEALER UNTIL TWO DAYS AGO. SINCE THE CAR STARTED UP AND SHOWED NO BATTERY ICON OR DISPLAY MESSAGE, THEY COULD NOT FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENED. THEY TESTED FOR CODES BUT TO NO AVAIL. I PICKED IT UP YESTERDAY. I DECIDED TO DRIVE THE CAR TODAY AND SURE ENOUGH THE DISPLAY TURNED DARK WHILE I WAS DRIVING. THE ENGINE LIGHT, BATTERY ICON, POWER LIGHT WENT ON. IT STALLED ON THE HIGHWAY AND I COASTED TO THE DUDE OF THE ROAD. I HAD TO BE TOWED BECAUSE IT WOULD NOT MOVE WHEN IN DRIVE. THE DEALER IS INVESTIGATING IT NOW
THIS REPORTS DOCUMENTS A SECOND INSTANCE OF POWER FAILURE. ON FRIDAY, JAN 4 FAII WAS DRIVING ON INTERSTATE HWY 287. THE DASHBOARD WENT DARK AT FIRST AND THEN STARTED FLICKERING. CAR THEN STALLED WHILE DRIVING. THE GAS PEDAL NO LONGER WORKED. THE POWER STEERING FAILED. I COASTED TO THE SHOULDER. WHEN IN PARK THE DASHBOARD CAME BACK ON WITH BATTERY, ENGINE LIGHT, AND P WITH CIRCLE AND EXCLAMATION MARK. A MESSAGE CAME ON DISPLAY TO SERVICE TRANSMISSION. I HAD TO BE TOWED TO THE CAR DEALERSHIP. AT THE DEALERSHIP I WAS TOLD THE REPAIR WORK WOULDN'T START UNTIL MONDAY. ON MONDAY AFTERNOON, I WAS TOLD THE BATTERY CONNECTION WAS POOR AND THEY ORDERED A PART. I ALSO RECEIVED A RECALL EMAIL THAT STATES THE TRANSMISSION NEEDS TO BE FIXED. I FEEL THIS VEHICLE IS LIFE THREATENING AT THIS POINT. MANY CHEROKEES HAVE RECEIVED 5 RECALLS AND I ONLY HAVE ONE. PLEASE LOOK INTO THE CHEROKEE LIMITED 4 X 4.
THIS IS THE THIRD TIME WE HAVE HAD AN ISSUE WITH MY WIFE'S JEEP. 2019 JEEP CHEROKEE LIMITED. FIRST ISSUE WAS JUST OVER A THOUSAND MILES, SPENT ALMOST A MONTH IN THE GARAGE. GOING DOWN THE INTERSTATE AT HIGH SPEEDS THE CAR SHUTS DOWN AND YOU LOSE ALL POWER STEERING, THE BRAKE PEDAL GETS HARD, ETC. YOU LOSE ALL LIGHTS IN THE DASH, ALL POWER GOING UP HILLS, HAVE TO STOP COMPLETELY AND RESTART IN ORDER TO GO ANYWHERE. SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE AS REPORTED TO JEEP MULTIPLE TIMES NOW AND THEY HAVE SAID IS FIXED. WE HAVE REQUESTED THEY SWAP OUT OUR VEHICLE WITH ANOTHER NEW JEEP AND THEY REFUSED. THIS IS A SERIOUS SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE WHERE THE ABILITY TO SAFELY DRIVE THE CAR ABRUPTLY STOPS WHILE YOU ARE DRIVING. POWER STEERING COMPLETELY SHUTS DOWN AS DOES THE CAR TRANSMISSION MAKING IT SO YOU CAN GO NOWHERE. WE HAVE BEEN ALMOST WIPED OUT BY A SEMI TRUCK ON THE INTERSTATE, THIS IS AFTER THEIR THIRD ATTEMPT AT FIXING THE VEHICLE AND SAYING IT IS FIXED. AND SAFE. WE HAVE REQUESTED TIME AFTER TIME FOR THEM TO GIVE US A NEW JEEP AND THEY REFUSED BECAUSE THEY DON'T WANT TO DISH OUT THE MONEY OR WHATEVER THE CASE IS. THIS VEHICLE CAN LOSE POWER STEERING AND THE TRANSMISSION CAN GO INTO NEUTRAL AT ANY TIME WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD CAUSING YOU TO BE LEFT WITH A VERY UNSAFE VEHICLE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND POTENTIALLY UNABLE TO STEER THE VEHICLE. IT IS A MIRACLE THAT MY WIFE WHO WAS 40 WEEKS PREGNANT AT THE TIME WAS ABLE TO PUT ALL HER MUSCLE INTO THE CAR AND STEER IT AWAY FROM GOING OVER A CLIFF THE FIRST TIME WHEN IT DIED. THE SECOND TIME WE WERE ON THE INTERSTATE ON THE WAY TO A DOCTOR'S APPOINTMENT. THIRD TIME WAS TODAY ON THE INTERSTATE AGAIN.
STEERING WILL GET VERY TIGHT WHEN GOING ABOVE 60 MPH. IT FEELS AS IF THE POWER STEERING HAS BEEN SHUT OFF. I HAVE ALSO NOTICED THAT IT LOCKS AND IF YOU MOVE THE STEERING WHEEL A LITTLE BIT IT CLICKS. TO GO ALONG WITH THIS I FEEL AS IF I AM ALWAYS DRIVING ON A VERY WINDY DAY WHEN GOING 60 MPH OR HIGHER.
2019 JEEP CHEROKEE LATTITUDE- ENGINE SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING. I BOUGHT MY CAR BRAND NEW I REACHED 4000 MILES AND I WAS DRIVING TO WORK MY CAR DIED AND THE BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON, CAR WENT INTO FAILURE MODE SO WAS HARD TO STEER AND MY FLASHERS WOULD NOT GO ON, I SAT FOR A FEW MINUTES AND TRIED TO RESTART AND THE CAR HESITATED AND TURNED OVER. TWO WEEKS LATER SAME THING IN THE SAME EXACT SPOT. I BROUGHT MY CAR TO SURESKY THE DEALER I BOUGHT IT FROM AND THEY SAID ITS BECAUSE IT NEEDED AN OIL CHANGE. ONCE THEY COMPLETED MY OIL CHANGE THEY TOLD ME MY OIL WAS BARELY ON THE DIPSTICK. THIS IS A BRAND NEW CAR WITH 6000 MILES WITH SYNTHETIC OIL I SHOULDNT HAVE OIL LOSS. I HAVE READ ONLINE THERE ARE 188 OTHER PEOPLE THAT HAVE REPORTED THIS SAME ISSUE. I AM AFRAID TO LET MY KIDS DRIVE THIS DUE TO DRIVER INEXPERIENCE. JEEP IS AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND WILL NOT RECALL THE VEHICLES, BECAUSE OF THE LOSS THEY WILL TAKE, WHAT IS IT GOING OT TAKE SOMEONE DYING BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN, AND THEN CHRYSLER IS GOING TO BE SUED FOR NOT TAKING THE SAFETY OF THE CONSUMERS TO HEART
The contact owns a 2019 Jeep Cherokee. The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced excessive oil consumption. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where an oil consumption test was performed. The dealer determined that the engine needed to be replaced and related the failure to Chrysler Campaign Number: W80. The vehicle was repaired under Chrysler Campaign Number: W80. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 3,000.
OUR BRAND NEW 2019 JEEP LIMITED 4 X 4 WITH V6 ENGINE (285 MILES) WAS STARTED UP IN OUR DRIVEWAY I NOTICED THE BATTERY LIGHT WAS ON. THE DASHBOARD STATED THE START/STOP FUNCTION WAS NO LONGER WORKING. THE SEAT WOULD NOT MOVE FOR DRIVER 2. WE NEEDED TO GET TO AN EVENT AND ATTEMPTED TO PULL OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY WHEN WE NOTICED THE POWER STEERING WAS NOT WORKING. WE RETURNED THE CAR TO ITS SPOT ON THE DRIVEWAY. THE CAR WAS STARTED THIS MORNING WITH NO BATTERY ICON SHOWING AND NO DASHBOARD MEMO. I'M AFRAID TO DRIVE THIS VEHICLE AND WILL GET IT TO A DEALERSHIP.
ON DECEMBER 29TH AT ABOUT 5PM, I WAS TRAVELING SOUTH AT 40MPH ON PLYMOUTH SORRENTO RD IN ORANGE COUNTY FL.AS I WAS DRIVING, I HEARD A DING (1 DING ALMOST AS IF MY SEAT BELT WANTS BUCKLED, BUT IT WAS) AND AT THAT TIME, MY JEEP SHUT DOWN IN TRAVEL. THE FIRST THING I NOTICED WAS THE RADIO SHUT OFF AND ALL THE GAUGES, AS I WENT TO CORRECT MY STEERING, TO GET BACK IN THE CENTER OF MY LANE, I REALIZED I HAD NO STEERING CAPABILITIES, THE STEERING WHEEL WAS LOCKED. WHEN I REALIZED WHAT HAD HAPPENED, I BEGAN TO SLOW AND THE CAR CAME BACK ON. THIS ALL TOOK PLACE IN ABOUT 5 SECONDS. WHEN I GOT MY HEAD STRAIGHT AND STARTED BACK HOME, I NOTICED THAT THE RADIO, CONTROL PANEL/GAUGES AND A/C WOULD NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY. I COULD NOT CHANGE CHANNEL, TURN AIR OFF, COULDN'T CHANGE VOLUME OR NOTHING. ABOUT TWENTY MINUTES LATER I ARRIVED AT MY HOUSE AND SHUT THE CAR DOWN. THE RADIO CONTINUED TO PLAY. I HAD TO START AND SHUT THE JEEP DOWN THREE TIME IN ORDER FOR THE EQUIPMENT TO SHUT DOWN. I CALLED NAPLETON JEEP OF CLERMONT TO COME TOW THE JEEP IN AND I CALLED CHRYLSER CORP TO NOTIFY THEM OF THE MAJOR SAFETY HAZARD THIS WAS AND PROBLEMS THIS COULD HAVE CAUSED. SEARCHING THE SAME YEAR AND MODEL JEEP ON THE INTERNET, IT APPEARS THIS IS A PRETTY COMMON THING,. I EXPLAINED IT TO ONE OF THE CHRYSLER CORP MANAGERS AND HE SAID IT DIDN'T MATTER HOW MANY VEHICLES THIS HAPPENED TO, THERE IS NO PROBLEM. CHRYSLER HAD THE NAPLETON DEALER DRIVE THE CAR FOR ABOUT 90 MILES OVER A WEEK PERIOD AND NEVER HAD A PROBLEM. AT THAT TIME I GOT A CALL FROM CHRYSLER AND NAPLETON, STATING I CAN PICK MY JEEP UP, THERE IS NOTHING WRONG. THE JEEP HAD ABOUT 2000 MILES ON IT WHEN THIS HAPPENED. WE HAVE HAD THE JEEP ABOUT 40 DAYS WHEN THIS HAPPENED, AND BECAUSE CHRYSLER COULDN'T RECREATE THE ISSUES, THEY HAVE JUST WASHED THEIR HANDS OF THE PROBLEM.
THE VEHICLE SHUTS OFF WHEN APPROACHING 3500 MILES. THIS HAPPENS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION REGARDLESS OF SPEED RENDERING THE VEHICLE EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO MANEUVER. THE VEHICLES NOW HAVE A FIAT MOTOR THAT APPARENTLY BURNS THE ENGINES OIL EVERY 3500 MILES & THE SHUT OFF IS A BUILT IN 'SAFETY MECHANISM' TO PREVENT THE MOTOR FROM BURNING OUT DUE TO THE LACK OF OIL. WHEN I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP THE GUY THAT'S IN SERVICES DIDN'T CARE OF MY CONCERN REGARDING THE CHEROKEE TURNING OFF WHILE DRIVING DURING TRAFFIC ESPECIALLY IN THE FREEWAYS, ALL HE KEPT SAYING YUP YUP YUP. HE KEPT TELLING ME HE HAS A PAPER STATING THAT JEEP CHEROKEES NEW MODELS ARE BUILT LIKE THAT NOW. ALL HE OFFERED WAS TO DO AN OIL CONSUMPTION TEST WHICH I HAVE TO MAKE AN APPT FOR AND GO EVERY 1,000 MILES TO GET IT READ. I MENTIONED THAT THE COMPASS HAS THE SAME TYPE ENGINE, HOWEVER, WITH THE COMPASS I WOULD GO 5,000 MILES OR MORE. I CANNOT CONTINUE TO PAY FOR A CAR THAT PUTS ME AND MY FAMILY AT RISK FOR ACCIDENT. MY CAR TURNS OFF COMPLETELY ALL THE LIGHTS ON THE DASH BOARD TURNS ON BEFORE TURNING OFF AND STATES IT'S THE BATTERY WHEN IT'S NOT THE BATTERY. THE RADIO SCREEN CHANGES ON ITS OWN TO ALL THE DIFFERENT FEATURES ON THE SCREEN INCLUDING TURNING THE BACKUP CAMERA ON WHILE DRIVING FORWARD, TURNING THE SEAT HEATER AND WHEEL HEATER ON AND NOT SHUTTING OFF, TURNING THE HEATER AND MAX A/C ON AND OFF, CALLING PEOPLE WHILE ON BLUETOOTH. THIS HAPPENS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION, STATIONARY, ON CITY STREETS AND HIGHWAY. I HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE IN 4 TIMES SO FAR FOR THIS ISSUE. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT HAS TESTED THE BATTERY VOLTAGE ON 12/17/18 COULDN'T FIND A PROBLEM. PROBLEM AGAIN ON 01/14/19. PROBLEM AGAIN 01/23/19, SERVICE DEPARTMENT CHECKED IT, GAVE IT BACK TO ME AND SAID THEY WERE ORDERING A NEW RADIO. 01/28/19 RADIO REPLACED. AFTER THE RADIO WAS REPLACED THE MILEAGE WAS BLINKING AND THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE SYSTEM LIGHT COMES ON AND THEN SHUTS OFF AFTER STARTING THE VEHICLE. 01/29/19 VEHICLE IS BACK AT THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT WITH THE SAME ISSUES (01/30/19 SERVICE DEPARTMENT STILL HAS VEHICLE).
