MY VEHICLE SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING. THIS SUV IS BRAND NEW, ONLY 250 MILES ON IT. I STOPPED AT A STOP SIGN, BEGAN DRIVING AND THE ENGINE SHUT OFF AND WOULD NOT START. SEVERAL ERROR MESSAGES CAME UP ON MY DISPLAY SUCH AS, SERVICE TRANSMISSION, SERVICE POWER STEERING, SERVICE PARKING BRAKE, SERVICE STABILITY CONTROL ETC. THE CAR NEVER RESTARTED AND HAD TO BE TOWED. I COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED IF THIS HAPPENED WHILE PULLING ON TO A BUSY ROAD. MY DEALER HAS HAD THE VEHICLE FOR 4 DAYS AND HAS BEEN UNABLE TO FIGURE OUT THE PROBLEM. *DT UPDATED 10/18/18*JB UPDATED 11/1/18 *DT CONSUMER STATED THE CAR HAS BEEN AT FOSS MOTORS IN EXETER NH SINCE 9/14, THEY HAVE UNABLE TO FIX IT. THEY HAVE REPLACED A FRAYED WIRE WHICH THEY BELIEVED FRIED THE POWER CONTROL MODULE CHIP. THIS HAS BEEN REPLACED ON 9/21/ AND I EXPECTED THE CAR BACK ON 9/24 BUT WHEN THEY BACKED IT OUT OF THE SERVICE BAY IT WASN'T RUNNING PROPERLY. THEY REACHED OUT TO SENIOR TECHNIANS ADVISED THEM TO REPLACE THE POWER CONTROL MODULE AGAIN AND THEY REPLACED SOME THROTTLE PART. THEY CALLED ON 10/8 TO SAY THERE WERE STILL PROBLEMS. AS OF TODAY,THEY HAVE AGREED TO BUY THE CAR BACK AND HAVE STARTED THAT PROCESS. CHRYSLER CORP IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEMS BECAUSE I REACHED OUT TO THEM TO HELP FACILITATE WHAT WAS GOING ON AND TO HELP GATHER INFORMATION. UPDATED 11/02/18 *JB
The contact owns a 2019 Jeep Cherokee. The contact stated that on several occasions while driving at various speeds and stopping at traffic lights, the vehicle lost motive power and started to reverse unintendedly. The vehicle was restarted each time. Additionally, on several occasions, while driving at various speeds the vehicle downshifted inadvertently. The vehicle was steered to the side of the road and restarted. The contact stated that the Auto START/STOP warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the transmission control module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 5,000.
VEHICLE STALLS WHILE IN MOTION-HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SAME PROBLEM ON INTERNET. JEEP LITERALLY JUST SHUTS OFF- ALL 2019 JEEP LATITUDES. BATTERY LIGHT GOES ON VERY DANGEROUS IN TRAFFIC.
I HAVE A 2019 JEEP CHEROKEE WITH 2000 MILES ON IT. I AM LEASING IT BRAND NEW. I BOUGHT IT ON JULY 10. ON MONDAY, SEPT 10, I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK AND GOING ABOUT 45 MILES PER HOURS, SUDDENLY THE CAR WENT FROM 45 MPH TO 0 MPH IN A MATTER OF SECONDS, I LOSE CONTROL OF THE POWER STEERING AND POWER BRAKES AND IT STALLED...IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSY STREET. IT W AS FRIGHTENING. I PUT IT IN PARK, TURNED IT OFF, TRIED STARTING IT AGAIN, TURNED IT OFF AGAIN, WAITED A FEW MINUTES, START IT AGAIN AND IT STARTED UP CALLED THE HUSBAND TO SEE IF I SHOULD TRY TO HEAD HOME IN IT OR CALL UBER. WE DECIDED I WAS CLOSE ENOUGH TO HOME TO TRY AGAIN. IT HAPPENED TWO MORE TIMES ON THE WAY HOME. ABSOLUTELY TERRIFYING TO BE DRIVING AND HAVE IT COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN MID DRIVE. I HAD A CAR GOING ABOUT 45 BEHIND ME SWERVE INTO ANOTHER LANE TO AVOID SMASHING INTO ME. THEY WILL NOT FIX IT BECAUSE THEY CANNOT SEE IT HAPPENED ON THEIR SYSTEM AND CAN'T DUPLICATE THE ISSUE. IT IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE. I AM AFRAID SOMEONE WILL BE SERIOUSLY INJURED. I ALSO SEE THIS ALL OVER THE INTERNET WHEN I SEARCH 2019 JEEP CHEROKEE ENGINE STALL IN MOTION. SO, I HAVE TO TAKE THE CAR BACK AND DRIVE IT UNTIL IT HAPPENS AGAIN.
WEN INTO ARBITRATION WITH DOCUMENTAITON OF 8 TRIPS TO DEALER TO FIND PROBLEM THEY TOLD US THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM SSSEE RECALL #UA9/NHTSA 18V-739. .AFTER THE ARBITRATION CKHRYSLER REP STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT UNSAFE.I BELIEVE OTHER PEOPLE ARE DEALING WITH THIS SAME PROBLEM. I CAN MAIL COOPIES OF WORK ORDERS AND AND JUCGEMENT FROM NCDS .PLEAS SEND MAILING INFO.
RADIO CONTINUES TO GO IN AND OUT AFTER 4 TIMES AT THE DEALERSHIP. THIS PROBLEM DOES NOT OCCUR EVERY TIME THE CAR IS STARTED, BUT IT WILL BE IMMEDIATE WHEN YOU TURN THE CAR ON IF THE RADIO WILL WORK OR NOT. MY CAR HAS BEEN UPDATED WITH NEW PROGRAMS, NEW RADIO SYSTEM PUT IN, AND THE ISSUE IS STILL NOT RESOLVED. THE DEALERSHIP AT OLIVER C. JOSEPH IN BELLEVILLE, IL STATED THEY ARE NOT SURE WHAT THE ISSUE IS. I WILL BE TAKING MY CAR BACK IN FOR THE FIFTH TIME DUE TO THE RADIO ISSUE NOT BEING FIXED. ALSO, IF THE RADIO STARTS OUT WORKING PROPERLY WHEN THE CAR IS INITIALLY STARTED IT WILL NOT HAPPEN SUDDENLY. EITHER IT WORKS OR DOESN'T WORK WHEN THE CAR IS FIRST STARTED.
VEHICLE BATTERY DIED WHILE DRIVING. HAS HAPPENED 3 TIMES. HAPPENS AT LOW SPEEDS. POWER STEERING IS TURNED OFF AND YOU MUST TURN CAR OFF AND TURN BACK ON. VERY DANERGOUS BECAUSE YOU CAN'T TURN YOUR STEERING WHEEL WHEN IT IS DYING SO EASILY COULD BE HIT.
I WAS STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT, WAITING TO TURN RIGHT AS I YIELDED TO OTHER TRAFFIC. I WAS SLOWLY MOVING FORWARD WHEN MY BATTERY LIGHT FLASHED AND MY CAR STALLED OUT AND STARTED ROLLING BACKWARD. I WAS IN A LOT OF TRAFFIC, SO I HAD TO PUT MY FLASHERS ON. A MAN OFFERED TO PUSH ME TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. I HAD ALREADY TURNED OFF MY CAR, BUT DECIDED TO TRY TURNING IT BACK ON. IT RESTARTED FINE; AND STARTED DRIVING AGAIN. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS IF I HAD BEEN DRIVING AT ANY HIGHER OF A SPEED. I ONLY HAVE 585 MILES ON THIS VEHICLE. I HAVE READ OTHER PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME EXACT ISSUES AND HAVE TAKEN THEM TO DEALERSHIPS WITH NO SOLUTION. *DT *TR
VEHICLE STALLS WITHOUT WARNING WHILE DRIVING AT SPEED. THIS WAS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS WHEN IT OCCURRED ON THE HIGHWAY. IT HAS HAPPENED NUMEROUS TIMES AND WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER FOR REPAIR. WARNING LIGHTS FOR CHECK ENGINE, SERVICE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL, SERVICE START/STOP SYSTEM, SERVICE ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL, AND 4WD SYSTEM TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE LIGHT UP.
THE CAR STALLED AND CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP WHILE IN MOTION AND MAKING A LEFT HAND TURN ON A TWO-WAY STREET. WAS UNABLE TO START THE CAR BACK UP. AFTER 5 MINUTES OF TRYING, CAR STARTED AGAIN. *TT
MY 2019 JEEP CHEROKEE LAREDO IS EQUIPPED WITH THE 2.4 LITER 4 CYLINDER ENGINE. IT'S CONSTANTLY LOSING OIL AND SHUTS DOWN WITHOUT ANY TYPE OF WARNING. IT HAS ONLY 18,000 MILES AND I FEEL THAT IT'S VERY DANGEROUS. IT'S BEEN HAPPENING SINCE I PURCHASED IT. IT HAS SHUT DOWN ON MAJOR ROADS AS WELL AS LOCAL ONES. I NEVER KNOW WHEN IT WILL HAPPEN NEXT.
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION EXHIBITS ODD BEHAVIOR FROM THE DAY OF DELIVERY OF THIS NEW CAR,JEEP SERVICE SAYS NOTHING IS WRONG; CLUNKING NOISE WHEN LIGHTLY TAPPING THE ACCELERATOR, ROUGH SHIFTING, WHEN LETTING FOOT OF THE ACCELERATOR VEHICLE DOESN'T SLOW DOWN AND TAKES LONG TIME BEFORE IT DOES, IT FEELS LIKE IT IS COASTING INSTEAD OF SLOWING WHEN IT FINALLY DOWNSHIFTS IT SPEEDS UP ON ITS OWN AND THEN SLOWLY DECELERATES.
VEHICLE IS SHUTTING OFF WHILE DRIVING, CAUSING LOSS OF STEERING AND EVERYTHING ELSE IN THE VEHICLE. THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE. ONCE AT 30MPH, AND AT 50 MPH. LUCKILY I DID NOT WRECK OR HIT SOMEONE. THIS VEHICLE ISN'T SAFE TO DRIVE. SOMEONE IS GOING TO BE KILLED IF THIS IS NOT FIXED. THIS SEEMS TO BE RELATED TO A RECENT RECALL BY FCA AFFECTING OTHER 2019 JEEP CHEROKEE MODELS. THAT STATES: THE POWER TRAIN CONTROL MODULE MAY FAIL AND THE CUSTOMER WILL EXPERIENCE A NO START, A START AND IMMEDIATE STALL CONDITION, OR ENGINE STALL WHILE DRIVING.
WHEN DRIVING MOSTLY AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS BUT SOMETIMES AT LOWER SPEEDS THE STEERING GETS TIGHT WHEN MAKING A SLIGHT ADJUSTMENT TO THE STEERING, WHICH MAKES ME PULL IT HARDER TO GET IT LOOSE AND THEN HAVE TO OVER COMPENSATE TO GET THE VEHICLE BACK IN A STRAIGHT LINE. THIS IS EXTREMLEY DANGEROUS BECAUSE IT HAS CAUSED ME TO RUN OFF THE HIGHWAY AND COME VERY CLOSE TO HITTING OTHER VEHICLES. I HAVE HAD IT IN THE SHOP AT THE DEALERSHIP 3 TIMES AND CHRYSLER LOOKED AT IT AND SAID THIS IS NORMAL WITH THE ELECTRONIC SPEED SENSITIVE STEERING. THIS SHOULD NOT BE NORMAL BECAUSE IT IS PUTTING MY LIFE IN DANGER. THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN SINCE I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE AUGUST 2018.
I WAS IN MOTION APPROACHING A RIGHT TURN AND THE VEHICLE DIED ON ME WITHOUT ANY WARNING, IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC. AFTER PUTTING THE CAR IN PARK, IT TOOK 5 TRIES TO GET THE ENGINE TO TURN OVER. WHILE DRIVING, ON A RESIDENTIAL STREET, THE ENGINE SHUT DOWN FOR NO APPARENT REASON. I HAD TO PUT IT IN PARK AND RESTART THE CAR. I WAS LUCKY IT DID NOT HAPPEN ON THE INTERSTATE, IT WOULD HAVE CAUSED A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. I HAVE SINCE READ THAT OTHER JEEP CHEROKEE DRIVERS HAVE HAD THE SAME EXPERIENCE, SOME 3 INCIDENTS. I DO NOT WANT TO EXPERIENCE THIS 3 TIMES. YESTERDAY I TRADED CARS, BOUGHT A DIFFERENT ONE. I'M 77 YEARS OLD AND I'M TOO SCARED TO TAKE A CHANCE ON A CAR THAT DOES THAT.
THE CAR STALLS WHILE DRIVING FOR NO APPARENT REASON. THE ENGINE TURNS OFF AND THERE IS NO POWER ON THE DASHBOARD. THIS WILL HAPPEN REGARDLESS OF OIL LEVELS, EVEN THOUGH THE CAR HAS ALWAYS HAD THE PROPER OIL LEVEL. IT TAKES ABOUT 5 MINUTES TO TURN ON AGAIN WHEN YOU ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET/FREEWAY WITH TRAFFIC BEHIND. THE DEALERSHIP WAS UNABLE TO FIND A PROBLEM, BUT IT KEEPS HAPPENING ON A DAILY BASIS.
CAR STOPS MOVING WHILE IN MOTION. THE FIRST TIME (JULY 6, 2018), I WAS PULLING INTO A LOCAL PIZZA HUT FOR MY LUNCH BREAK AND AS I TURN INTO THE DIRVEWAY, THE CAR STOPS ACCELERATING AND MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON; WHEN PUSHING THE GAS PEDAL TO GET FURTHER INTO THE PARKING LOT, THE VEHICLE WILL NOT MOVE AT ALL. I HAD TO PUT MY HAZARDS ON AND TURRN THE VEHICLE OFF THEN BACK ON AGAIN IN ORDER TO GET IT TO MOVE WHILE PUSHING THE GAS. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT REMAINED TURNED ON FOR 1-2 DAYS AND I WAS AFRAID TO DRIVE IT FAR. THEN IT MAGICALLY WENT OFF AS I WAS TAKING IT TO THE DEALERSHIP (WHICH I LIVE APPROX. 1.5 HOURS FROM) TO HAVE IT CHECKED OUT. IT WAS AT THE SHOP FOR 2 DAYS. THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THEY WERE UNABLE TO FIND AN ISSUE WITH IT AND "RELEARNED" THE SYSTEM. THE SECOND TIME IT HAPPENED (AUGUST 27, 2018), I WAS PULLING INTO MY LOCAL TACO BELL FOR MY LUNCH BREAK AND THE SAME THING HAPPENED AS BEFORE BUT INSTEAD OF MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMING ON, MY BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON. JUST AS THE FIRST TIME, WHEN THIS HAPPENED THE CAR WOULD NOT MOVE WHILE PUSHING THE GAS PEDAL DOWN, SO AGAIN I HAD TO TURN MY HAZARDS ON, PUT IT IN PARK, TURN IT OFF, THEN BACK ON AGAIN IN ORDER TO GET THE VEHICLE TO MOVE. THE BATTERY LIGHT DID NOT STAY ON. IT HAS NOW BEEN AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR 3 DAYS AND I CAN PICK IT UP TOMORROW. THEY RAN A 4.5 HOUR TEST ON IT AND ALSO TEST DROVE IT SOME AND COULD NOT GET IT TO DUPLICATE THE ISSUE. AGAIN, THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING AT ALL WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE AND AGAIN THEY "RELEARNED" THE SYSTEM. I HAVE BEEN LUCKY ENOUGH TO GET MY VEHICLE OFF THE HIGHWAY (BARELY), WHICH IS A COMPLETE DANGER; WHAT IF THE NEXT TIME IT HAPPENS, I AM UNABLE TO DO SO? I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE MY BRAND NEW CAR, ESPECIALLY WITH MY SON IN IT. I HAVE FOUND SEVERAL ONLINE FORUMS WHERE PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE WITH THIS VEHICLE. SOMETHING IS GOING ON AND IT IS DANGEROUS.
VEHICLE LOCKS UP AND COMPLETELY DIES WHILE BEING DRIVEN AT HIGH SPEEDS. STEERING WHEEL LOCKS UP. MUST COME TO A STOP TO PUT IN PARK AND RESTART CAR.
VEHICLE WILL RANDOMLY SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING. THERE IS NO SET OF CIRCUMSTANCES THAT THIS OCCURS. IT HAS BEEN TO THE DEALERSHIP 4 TIMES FOR THIS ISSUE. *TT *TR
FCA RECALL. RECEIVED A NOTICE OF BRAKE RECALL THAT COULD CAUSE BRAKES TO FAIL AND CRASH, WITHOUT ANY ADVANCED WARNING. CALLED JEEP DEALER WHO TOLD ME THEY ARE UNWILLING AT THIS TIME TO PERFORM THE REPAIR, BECAUSE THEY ARE GIVING PREFERENCE TO THEIR IN STOCK, UNSOLD UNITS. DEALER (FRED MARTIN SUPERSTORE) REFUSED TO OFFER AN APPOINTMENT TO ME FOR THIS RECALL AND SAID TO CALL BACK IN OCTOBER. I CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURER (JEEP/FCA) AND THEY CALLED THE DEALER AND CONFIRMED THE SAME. I CALLED ANOTHER JEEP DEALER AND WAS ABLE TO SCHEDULE THIS RECALL SERVICE, BUT THE SOONEST THEY COULD GET ME IN WAS SEPTEMBER 10TH, 2018. THIS ALL TOOK FIVE HOURS OF MY TIME AND I AM FORCED TO CONTINUE TO DRIVE WITHOUT THIS RECALL BEING PERFORMED, AND A SAFETY RISK, FOR AT LEAST 20 MORE DAYS. *TT
MY 2019 JEEP CHEROKEE'S ENGINE HAS STALLED 3 TIMES PRIOR TO REACHING 3000 MILES. IN EACH CASE, I WAS TRAVELING AT A LOW SPEED GOING UP A SLIGHT INCLINE. THERE WAS NO WARNING, AND ONLY THE ORANGE BATTERY INDICATOR LIGHT SHOWED ON THE DISPLAY. THE FIRST TIME THE CHEROKEE'S ENGINE DIED, IT STARTED ONCE THE CAR WAS PLACED IN PARK AND THE IGNITION BUTTON WAS PUSHED. THE SECOND TIME THE CHEROKEE'S ENGINE RESTARTED ONCE THE CAR WAS PLACED IN PARK AND THE IGNITION BUTTON WAS PUSHED. IT RAN A FEW SECONDS, THE ENGINE DIED AGAIN, AND WHEN PLACED IN PARK AND THE IGNITION BUTTON WAS PUSHED, THE ENGINE HESITATED AND SOUNDED LIKE IT DID NOT WANT TO START. THE ENGINE FINALLY RESTARTED. WHEN I RETURNED THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP, THE SERVICE STAFF SAID THAT NO SERVICE CODE WAS GENERATED AND THAT THEY WERE UNABLE TO RECREATE THE PROBLEM. THE STAFF ALSO SEEMED UNAWARE OF ANY MANUFACTURER'S DEFECT WITH THE 2019 JEEP CHEROKEE'S ENGINE. I FIND THIS DISTURBING SINCE I HAVE READ SEVERAL POSTS ONLINE FROM OWNERS OF 2019 JEEP CHEROKEES STATING EXACTLY THE SAME PROBLEM. IS JEEP REALLY THIS UNCONCERNED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF ITS CUSTOMERS? JEEP NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING IMMEDIATELY BEFORE A FATAL ACCIDENT IS CAUSED FROM THIS DEFECT IN THEIR PRODUCT. *TT *AS
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, SLOWED DOWN TO A STOP SIGN AND THE CAR WENT DEAD (NOT THE BUTTON PROBLEM), THE BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON. I DRIFTED TO THE SIDE, PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND RESTARTED, THEN WENT AGAIN. I HAD IT TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP BECAUSE I WAS TOO AFRAID TO DRIVE IT, IT HAD 3000 MILES ON IT, THEY TOLD ME IT WAS OUT OF OIL. THEY PUT OIL IN IT AND GAVE IT BACK TO ME. IT HAPPENED AGAIN, THIS TIME WITH OIL IN IT. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP, THEY DROVE IT AND SAID THEY COULDN'T FIND THE PROBLEM AND GAVE IT BACK TO ME. THEY COULDN'T FIGURE OUT WHAT IT WAS.
THE AUTO START/STOP FEATURE KICKS IN AS NORMAL, HOWEVER THE CAR DOES NOT START BACK AFTER DOING SO. THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN EVERY TIME BUT HAPPENS OFTEN ENOUGH TO CAUSE ISSUES, LIKE IN TRAFFIC, AND ON SLOPS. THE BRAKES LOCK UP, AND I HAVE MORE THAN ONCE STARTED ROLLING BACKWARDS. ALL GEARS FLASH ON THE DISPLAY, AND I MUST CYCLE THE KEY TO FIX THE ISSUE. POSSIBLY RELATED TO THE UNDERLYING ISSUE, BUT NOT THE START/STOP FEATURE, IF THE CAR IS IN NEUTRAL FOR ANY PERIOD OF TIME, SUCH AS WHEN BEING PULLED THROUGH A CAR WASH, THE EXACT SAME THING HAPPENS. WHEN I TRY TO SHIFT BACK INTO DRIVE TO PULL OUT OF THE CAR WASH, THE D FLASHES ON THE DISPLAY, NOTHING HAPPENS, NO MATTER HOW MUCH TIME I SPEND TRYING TO GET IT TO REGISTER, WHICH HONESTLY ISN'T MUCH, I HAVE TO GET OUT OF THE CAR WASH QUICKLY, NOTHING HAPPENS. I'M LEFT ONCE AGAIN HAVING TO CYCLE THE KEY AND RESTART THE VEHICLE. EVERY SINGLE TIME AFTER THE ISSUE HAPPENS WHEN THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN NEUTRAL, THE START STOP ISSUE OCCURS ON THE FIRST INSTANCE OF IT BEING ENGAGED. THE DEALERSHIP DOESN'T SEEM TO CARE, WOULDN'T EVEN TAKE A COPY OF MY VIDEO, AND ARE PUTTING SO MANY MILES ON MY BRAND NEW VEHICLE TO "REPLICATE" THE ISSUE. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE EARLY JULY, AND JEEP NOR CHRYSLER SEEMS TO HAVE ANY ANSWERS AS THEY'VE "NEVER SEEN THIS BEFORE".

THE JEEP CHEROKEE TURNED OFF IN TRAFFIC AND WENT INTO BATTERY PROTECTION MODE. WE HAD TO PUT CAR IN PARK AND RESTART. WE WERE ALMOST REAR-ENDED. I THEN CALLED DEALERSHIP TO TALK TO SALESMAN AND HE WAS BUSY SO I ASKED FOR MANAGER WHO THEN TOLD ME THAT THE SALESMAN WOULD CALL ME BACK. WHEN I TOLD SALESMAN ABOUT THE INCIDENT I WAS TOLD TO DRIVE WITH START-STOP FUNCTION OFF AND TO WAIT TILL NEXT DAY TO SEE IF IT DID IT AGAIN. THE VEHICLE DIDN'T START IN THE MORNING AND THEN TRIED SECOND TIME AND IT TURNED ON IN BATTERY PROTECTION MODE SO I TOOK IT IN TO DEALERSHIP AND WAS GIVEN A LOANER. WE THEN PICKED UP CHEROKEE ON OR AROUND 8/31/18. WE WERE TOLD THE BATTERY WAS RECHARGED. THE CHEROKEE THEN STARTED TO TURN OFF AGAIN IN TRAFFIC SO I TOOK IT BACK ON 9/5/18. I WAS GIVEN ANOTHER LOANER. I WAS THEN TOLD TO PICK UP CHEROKEE ON 9/18/18. I WAS TOLD THAT THEY DIDN'T FIND ANYTHING AND COULDN'T RECREATE THE INCIDENT. EVER SINCE WE RECEIVED THE CHEROKEE BACK ON THE 18TH WE KEEP THE START-STOP FUNCTION OFF. NOW THE TIRE PRESSURE SENSORS KEEP COMING ON AND OFF AND THE GAS IS GOING AT A FASTER RATE THEN BEFORE. NOT SURE IF SENSORS ARE WORKING CORRECTLY. TOOK CAR BACK TO DEALERSHIP ON SUNDAY 10/14/18 AND WAS TOLD TO CALL SERVICE THE NEXT DAY BECAUSE THEY HAD NO LOANERS. TODAY 10/21/18 VEHICLE TURNED OFF WHILE DRIVING OUT OF PARKING SPACE. CAR RESTARTED BUT DO NOT TRUST DRIVING THIS VEHICLE WITH MY FAMILY INSIDE. AIR CONDITIONER HAS NOT WORKED SINCE I PURCHASED IN 2018. WHEN THE CAR IS IN MOTION OR SITTING STILL THE CAR DOES NOT COOL PROPERLY AND EVERYONE COMPLAINS OF BEING HOT IN THE CAR. BOUGHT THE 2019 CHEROKEE IN MAY 2018. JULY OF 2018 THE RADIO WAS REPLACED ( REFURBISHED RADIO / NOT A NEW RADIO } VOLUME PROBLEM. SO THIS IS THE SECOND RADIO IN THIS VEHICLE ( NOT HAPPY WITH A REFURBISHED RADIO IN A NEW VEHICLE THAT IS JUST MONTHS OLD ) , DEALER/CHRYSLER KEEPS DOING SYSTEMS UPDATES THAT DON'T WORK. AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK THE RADIO WILL NOT TURN ON AND WHEN THE RADIO DOESN'T TURN ON I CANNOT OPERATE ANY OF THE INTERNAL SYSTEMS BECAUSE THE SCREEN IS BLANK.

WHEN IT IS NOT WORKING, THERE IS ONLY ONE OR TWO STATIONS THAT WILL BE ABLE TO BE TUNED IF USING THE AUTO TUNING BUTTON. IT WILL TUNE TO THE ONE STATION (HOWEVER, IT STILL FADES IN AND OUT). THE DEALER HAS REPLACED THE RADIO TO NO AVAIL. THEY ARE TRYING THE ANTENNA HOWEVER THERE ARE SEVERAL OWNERS WHO REPORT THAT DOES NOT WORK EITHER. ALTHOUGH THIS IS NOT NECESSARILY A SAFETY CONCERN IT IS STILL A MAJOR PROBLEM WITH MY $33,000 VEHICLE. WE NEED TO KNOW HOW TO GET THIS RECTIFIED. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 JEEP CHEROKEE. WHILE STATIONARY, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING AND COMPLETELY LOST POWER. ON ANOTHER OCCASION, WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO GWINNETT CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (5054 US-78, STONE MOUNTAIN, GA 30087) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THERE WAS NO OIL IN THE ENGINE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,710.
WITHIN A 2 WEEKS AFTER I BOUGHT THE JEEP, WHILE DRIVING MY BRAND NEW JEEP CHEROKEE TRAIL-RATED, GOING OVER SPEED BUMPS AT A VERY LOW SPEED 3-5 MILES PH, I HEARD A GRINDING NOISE COMING FROM THE TRANSMISSION. TOOK THE JEEP BACK TO THE DEALER AND WAS ADVISED THAT THE MANUFACTURER, CHRYSLER, HAD INSTALLED A BRAND NEW TYPE OF TRANSMISSION, THEY FOUND NO PROBLEMS AT THIS TIME. AGAIN WITHIN 2 DAYS, I HAD TO BRING THE JEEP BACK TO THE DEALER AND THIS TIME I WAS ADVISED THAT THE TECHNICIAN VALIDATED MY CONCERNS AND PERFORMED A TRANSMISSION QUICK LEARN 5060 WC90. PART # COUNT: CLAIM TYPE W. IN ORDER WORDS MY COMPLAINT WAS VALID. ANOTHER WEEK LATER, AGAIN BROUGHT MY JEEP TO THE DEALER AND TWO DAYS LATER I RECEIVED A PHONE CALL FROM THE DEALER TELLING ME THAT THEY COULDN'T FIND THE NOISE AND FOR ME TO COME TO THE DEALERSHIP AND DRIVE MY JEEP WITH THE MANAGER IN ORDER TO REPRODUCE THE NOISE. I AM NOT MAKING UP THE NOISE BUT NOW AFTER THE VALIDATED THE FACT THAT THERE WAS A MANUFACTURER PROBLEM DUE TO THE FACT THAT IT IS A NEW TRANSMISSION, NOW THEY CAN'T FIND THE NOISE, THERE IS MOST DEFINITELY A SERIOUS PROBLEM AND THERE ARE NO RECALLS AT THIS TIME FOR THIS PROBLEM. I ANYBODY HAS A SIMILAR ISSUES, PLEASE LET EVERYBODY KNOW!!!!!!
