2008 JEEP COMMANDER, 4.7L FLEXFUEL, BOUGHT NEW IN 12/08, HAS WORKED FLAWLESSLY FOR FOUR YEARS AND 66,000 MILES UNTIL NOW. THE VEHICLE WILL STALL OUT AT ANY SPEED, FROM LOW 30MPH TO HIGHWAY SPEEDS. REQUIRES THAT THE CAR BE SAFELY PULLED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, TRANSMISSION PLACED IN PARK AND KEY TURNED OFF AND THEN ON AGAIN. NO PRIOR INDICATION OF STALL - IT SIMPLY 'QUITS'. NO EVIC MESSAGES OR DASH WARNING LIGHTS. THE JEEP HAS BEEN METICULOUSLY MAINTAINED AND NOT ABUSED OR NEGLECTED. THIS IS AN INTERMITTENT PROBLEM, THAT TO DATE, HAS OCCURRED FIVE TIMES SINCE IT BEGAN ABOUT FIVE WEEKS AGO. JUST PRIOR TO STALLING THE DRIVE TRAIN WILL QUICKLY AND VIOLENTLY SHUTTER LEADING ME TO BELIEVE THE TRANSMISSION IS DOING SOMETHING IT SHOULDN'T DO. I HAVE NOT YET BROUGHT THIS TO CHRYSLER SINCE FROM READING OTHER POSTS CHRYSLER HAS NO IDEA WHAT TO DO. I HAVE BEEN FORTUNATE SO FAR IN BEING ABLE TO SAFELY PULL OVER BUT FEAR THAT ONE DAY I MAY BE IN A PERILOUS SITUATION. MY FAMILY HAS ALL JEEPS (91 CHEROKEE, 06 GR. CHEROKEE, AND 08 COMMANDER) AND LOVE THEM. THIS DOES NOT BODE WELL FOR BUYING A NEW JEEP IN THE FUTURE. *TR
2008 JEEP COMMANDER. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO WIRELESS IGNITION SWITCH MODE RECALL NOTICE. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED THE WIRELESS IGNITION MODE WAS REPLACED ON DECEMBER 15, 2011. DURING THE FOLLOWING YEAR, THE CONSUMER FREQUENTLY LOST POWER WHILE DRIVING. WHILE THE MOST FREQUENTLY MOMENTS OCCURRED AFTER SHE BEGAN DRIVING, IT ALSO OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHER SPEEDS INCLUDING THE FREEWAY. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE PROBLEM AND SUGGESTED A TUNE-UP AND THROTTLE BODY FUEL SYSTEM SERVICE. THE PROBLEM CONTINUED AND THE CONSUMER EVENTUALLY FOUND THAT IF SHE TAPPED ON THE KEY AFTER THE STARTING THE VEHICLE, SHE COULD DETERMINED IF IT WAS FULLY ENGAGED.*JB
WATER LEAKING INTO INTERIOR OF VEHICLE FROM SUNROOF, AFFECTING ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS., WINDOWS AND INSTRUMENT PANEL COMPONENTS DAMAGED. RODENTS PER DEALERSHIP (SNETHKAMP) DAMAGED ELECTRICAL WIRING TO BRAKE LIGHTS (P) AND ENGINE DAMAGED. *TR

THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE BUT IT WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE WHO ADVISED THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS FOR THE FAILURE AND OFFERED NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 83,500.

THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO BE RESTARTED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED SIX TIMES OVER A PERIOD OF A YEAR. THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS ALSO FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN FOR INSPECTION OR REPAIRS. SHE PULLED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE AND DRIVE AS NORMAL. THE DEALER MADE TWO ATTEMPTS TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE BUT TO NO AVAIL. ON SATURDAY AUGUST 6, 2011 WHILE DRIVING AT 65 MPH THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL SYSTEM MALFUNCTIONED AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT SLOW DOWN FOR 1.5 MILES. THE CRUISE CONTROL WAS NOT IN USE AND THE FLOOR MAT WAS IN A NORMAL POSITION. THE ETC WARNING WAS ON DURING THIS MALFUCTION BUT WENT OFF WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS STOPPED. DURING THIS EPISODE THE BRAKES AND LOWER GEARS WERE USED TO SLOW DOWN WHILE THE RPM WAS RUNNING VERY HIGH. *TR
MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HWY AND A CAR CAME OUT IN FRONT OF HER FROM THE LEFT SIDE AND THEY HIT. THE OTHER CAR'S AIR BAGS ALL WENT OFF. MY JEEP NOT ONE AIR BAG WENT OFF AFTER TOTALING THE FRONT END GOING THROUGH A DITCH HITTING A GUARD RAIL ETC. POLICE BUT ON REPORT THEY WENT OFF JUST TOOK IT AS THEY SHOULD OF BECAUSE OF HOW BAD SHE WAS HIT. MY DAUGHTER HAS BACK PROBLEMS THE OTHER PERSON CRACKED HIP HAD TO HAVE BACK SURGERY. MY DAUGHTER HAS TO HAVE SURGERY TO BUT THEY WOULDN'T OK IT AT TIME SO NOW APPLYING FOR DISABILITY UNABLE TO WORK. WE HAVE EVERY RECALL THAT YOU HAVE LIST ON HERE WRONG WITH OUR JEEP AND MORE. IT STARTS TO REV UP AS IF PUTTING GAS ON WHILE HOLDING BRAKE OR WHILE JUST DRIVING DOWN THE STREET, I WAS IN CAR WAITING FOR CAR IN FRONT OF ME TO GO WITH FOOT ON BRAKE IT JERKED SO HARD I THOUGHT I GOT KIT IN THE BACK. WE HAVE TAKEN IT IN TO HAVE TESTS RUN ON THE JEEP AND THEY COME BACK SAYING NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. SO LOOKING TO TRADE IN BUT THE POLICE REPORT WRONG TRYING TO GET THAT FIXED.SINCE ACCIDENT THE AIR BAG LIGHT GOES ON MIGHT STAY ON OR GO OFF AND ON. I FEEL THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE AIR BAGS BUT TOLD THEY CAN'T CHECK UNLESS TAKE APART ETC TO LOOK AT THEM. THEY SHOULD HAVE GONE OFF IN ACCIDENT. THE TIRE LIGHT IS ON ALL THE TIME.SO I FEEL UNSAFE DRIVING MY JEEP WITH TWO SMALL CHILDREN IN IT. WE HAVE TAKEN IT IN FOR THE RECALLS THEY SAY NOT FOR OUR JEEP VIN # AND REFUSE TO FIX THEM HAVE ASKED OTHER PEOPLE WITH SAME JEEP AND THEY ALL GOT SAME PROBLEMS. WE HAVE TALKED TO THE JEEP PEOPLE OVER COMPUTER AND THEY SAY THEY HAVE NO ANSWER FOR AIR BAG PROBLEM AT THIS TIME. WHAT IS THAT SUPPOSE TO MEAN. *TR

I PURCHASED MY 2008 JEEP COMMANDER IN MAY2011, ABOUT TWO WEEKS AFTER I HAD THE VEHICLE, I WENT TO START IT ONE DAY AND IT WOULD NOT START. I OPENED THE HOOD AND TESTED MY BATTERY, NO PROBLEMS WITH IT, SO I TURNED THE KEY AGAIN AND IT STARTED. I CONTINUED TO HAVE THIS ISSUES EVERY SINCE, SOMETIMES IT WILL GO TWO WEEKS STARTING FINE AND THEN OUT OF THE BLUE IT WILL NOT START. THE LATEST INCIDENT HAPPENED ON 14 SEPT 2011, THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START AT ALL (USUALLY WHEN THIS HAPPENS IT WILL START AFTER A FEW MINUTES) SO ON THIS DAY I HAD IT TOWED TO A GARAGE, THEY TOLD ME THEY COULDNT FIND NOTHING WRONG WITH IT, BUT SAID MAYBE YOU JUST NEED A NEW BATTERY, SO I PURCHASED A BATTERY FOR THE JEEP INSTALLED IT AND FOR TWO DAYS IT WAS GREAT, SO I THOUGHT OK MAYBE IT HAS BEEN THE BATTERY AFTER ALL THIS TIME. TODAY 18 SEPT 2011, IT HAPPENED AGAIN, BUT THIS TIME IT STARTED AFTER 5 MINUTES. I STARTED RESEARCHING THE PROBLEM ONLINE, AND THIS IS WHEN I LEARNED OF THE RECALLS FOR MULTIPLE REASONS ON THESE VEHICLES. I LIVE IN UPSTATE NEW YORK AND WINTER IS APPROACHING, I DONT WANT TO BE STRANDED WITH MY FAMILY SOMEWHERE. I JUST REALLY WANT TO KNOW EXACTLY WHAT IS GOING ON BEFORE I PUT MONEY INTO A NEVER ENDING PROBLEM. *TT
ENGINE STALLS: ENGINE STALLS RANDOMLY, AT A LIGHT, AROUND A CORNER, AND EVEN ON FREEWAY AT 70 MPH. ENGINE WILL NOT RESTART AFTER A STALL UNTIL THE KEY HAS BEEN REMOVED FROM THE IGNITION. I HAVE HAD AT LEAST 15-20 STALLS SINCE I HAVE OWNED THE VEHICLE. TRANSMISSION JERKS: THIS STARTED IN THE LAST FEW MONTHS. TRANSMISSION DISENGAGES WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD THEN SUDDENLY REENGAGES, JERKING THE CAR FORWARD. SOMETIMES THE CAR WILL CONTINUE OK, SOMETIMES THE ENGINE WILL DIE. ELECTRICAL ISSUES: NOT A SAFETY ISSUE BUT MAYBE RELATED, I HAVE HAD NUMEROUS PROBLEMS WITH MY NAV SYSTEM GOING DARK (WON'T DISPLAY UNTIL ENGINE RESTARTED) - LOST SETTINGS. REAR DVD HAS TOTALLY GONE OUT. DEALER SAYS THERE IS A CODE FOR "LOST COMMUNICATION WITH RADIO" DUE TO AN OPEN SHORT. LAST INCIDENT: 04/11/2012 (51000 MILES): ON INTERSTATE 75 MPH - TOOK FOOT OFF THE ACCELERATOR TO SLOW DOWN AND FELT LIKE THE ENGINE HAD DIED (LOST MOMENTUM AND WAS COASTING). I APPLIED THE GAS AND THE RPM'S O THE ENGINE INCREASED BUT THE CAR DID NOT GAIN SPEED. FELT LIKE TRANSMISSION HAD DISENGAGED. THE CAR JERKED FORWARD LIKE THE TRANSMISSION REENGAGED. MOMENTUM WAS RETURNED FOR ABOUT 1 SECOND THEN DISENGAGED AGAIN. THE SECOND TIME, THE ENGINE DIED AND I HAD TO COAST TO THE SIDE OF THE INTERSTATE. CAR RESTARTED AND I WAS ABLE TO CONTINUE DOWN THE ROAD. AFTER DRIVING FOR ANOTHER 3 HOURS, THE "SERVICE 4WD" MESSAGE CAME UP ON THE DISPLAY. PULLED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, TURNED THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON, SAME MESSAGE CAME UP. CONTINUED DRIVING TO MY DESTINATION - MESSAGE CLEARED. AFTER THE CAR SAT IN THE PARKING LOT FOR SEVERAL HOURS, WENT BACK OUT AND STARTED IT, THE MESSAGE WAS GONE AND HAS NOT REAPPEARED. DEALER HAD CAR 6 DAYS - THERE ARE NO CODES IN THE SYSTEM. THEY CAN NOT DUPLICATE ISSUE. VEHICLE DYING ON FREEWAY IS VERY DANGEROUS AND I HAVE SMALL CHILDREN, PLEASE INVESTIGATE. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 JEEP COMMANDER. WHILE THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE ENGINE STALLED WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING. THE ENGINE RESTARTED WITHIN A FEW MINUTES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING AND THEY WERE UNABLE TO DETECT A TROUBLE CODE OR DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE REMAINED WITH THE DEALER FOR FURTHER INVESTIGATION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE DEFECT. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 62,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 JEEP COMMANDER 4X4. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH WHEN THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT WAITED A FEW SECONDS AND WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE AS NORMAL. THE FAILURE RECURRED TWICE YET THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER AND WAS ADVISED THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS FOR THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 24,540 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 24,595.
OUR 2008 COMMANDER HAS STALLED FOR NO REASON ON TWO OCCASIONS RECENTLY. IN BOTH INSTANCES, WE WERE DRIVING SLOW, ONE INTO A PARKING SPOT AND ONE INTO OUR GARAGE, AND THE JEEP STALLED. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN WELL-MAINTAINED AND DRIVEN RESPONSIBLY. WE ARE TAKING IT TO THE SHOP THIS WEEK, BUT THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM WITH JEEP COMMANDERS AND IS LIKELY VERY DIFFICULT TO RESOLVE. *TR
PURCHASED 3/11. 6/11 MYSELF/3 OTHERS WERE LOCKED IN THE VEHICLE. DOORS WOULDN'T UNLOCK/OPEN, WINDOWS DIDN'T WORK, WOULDN'T START. WE WERE HELD HOSTAGE FOR 5 MIN WHEN IT START UP AND EVERYTHING WORKED. 6/11 EXITED-LEFT THE KEYS ON SEAT 30 SEC LATER LIGHTS INSIDE FLICKERED, DOORS LOCKED, HORN HONKED. 7/2011 DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AT 70 MPH IT MOMENTARILY SHUT OFF FOR ABOUT 3 SEC AND TURNED ITS SELF-BACK ON. THIS CAUSED A DRASTIC DROP IN SPEED BEFORE IT RESTARTED. 7/11 DRIVERS SIDE FLOOR MAT WAS VERY WET FROM RAIN ENTERING THE TRUCK. 7/11 DRIVING IN A RAIN STORM WITNESSED WATER COMING DOWN THE DRIVER'S SIDE PILLAR NEXT TO THE WINDSHIELD. 4/12 ATTEMPTED TO START IT. EVERYTHING WORKED BUT WOULDN'T START 20 MIN LATER STARTED RIGHT UP. THIS HAPPENED 7 TIMES SINCE. 3/14 PARKED FOR 2 MIN WOULDN'T RESTART. HAD IT TOWED TO A SHOP WHERE THEY STARTED IT RIGHT UP. THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG . WENT TO PICK IT UP AND IT WOULDN'T START. SO THEY STARTED REPLACING THINGS HOPING THEY COULD FIND A PROBLEM. NEW BATTERY-OLD BATTERY WAS GOOD, FUSES, STARTER, RELAYS AND OUT OF THE BLUE TWO DAYS LATER IT STARTED UP EVEN AFTER ATTEMPTS AFTER THE FIXES 5/13 ALL LIGHTS WENT OUT, WIPERS, WIPER SPRAYER, HORN, BLINKERS, DASH LIGHTS, REAR PARK ASSIST ALL STOPPED WORKING. I WAS FORCED TO DRIVE HOME IN THE RAIN AT NIGHT WITH NONE OF THESE. 4/14 THIS HAPPENED AGAIN FOR ABOUT 24 HOURS. 5/14 THIS HAPPENED AGAIN FOR 5 DAYS. I HAVE CALLED DEALERSHIPS ABOUT RECALLS AND ALWAYS TOLD NO AND TO BRING IT IN AT $100/HOUR TO FIND THE ISSUES. IT HAS BEEN HOOKED UP TO CODE READERS 10+ TIME WITH NO CODES. LICENSED MECHANICS WHO CAN TELL ME ONLY WHAT THEY THINK IT COULD BE, EDUCATED GUESSES. EVERY DAY IS A GUESSING GAME WITH THIS JEEP AND WHAT IT'S GOING TO DO OR WHEN I'M GOING TO GET INJURED DUE TO ONE OF THESE NUMEROUS, CHRONIC, MAGICAL ISSUES. *TR
THIS 2008 JEEP COMMANDER 4X4 4.7 LITER V8 WAS JUST PURCHASED USED. THE 1ST DAY IT STALLED AT A STOP SIGN. THEN STALLED AT A DRIVE THROUGH. THE SECOND DAY THE STALLING CONTINUED INCLUDING ACCELERATING FROM A STOP SIGN ABOUT 30 MPH. WOULD TURN OVER BUT NOT RESTART AT FIRST, BUT THEN I DISCOVERED THAT WHEN CYCLING THE KEY TO OFF AND BACK ON AGAIN IT WOULD RESTART INSTANTLY. THE LOCAL JEEP DEALER HAS VERIFIED THE ISSUE OCCURS, BUT HAS HAD IT FOR 3 WEEKS WITH NO IDEA OF A RESOLUTION. THEY REPORT BEING IN CONTACT WITH CHRYSLERS STAR TECHNICAL SUPPORT... AGAIN NO ACTION OR RESOLUTION. I DISCOVERED THE PRIUS OWNER HAD VEHICLE IN FOR THE SAME ISSUE WITH NO RESOLUTION. IT IS JUST LIKE YOU TURN THE KEY OFF; NO POWER STEERING, NO POWER BRAKES. WHEN SEARCHING FOR INFORMATION IN GOOGLE... IT IS APPEARS TO BE A VERY COMMON ISSUE, BUT I CAN FIND NO RESOLUTIONS MYSELF. *TR
I OWN A 2008 JEEP COMMANDER. I BOUGHT IT ON JUNE 2010 THE TRACTION LIGHT FIRST CAME ON ABOUT 3 MONTH AFTER I GOT IT FIX AT THE CHRYSLER DEALER WERE I BOUGHT IT. THEY REPLACED THE MULTI-FUNCTION SWITCH AND UPDATED THE KEY FOBS PER A RECALL NOTICE. $240.32 CHARGE. ON AUGUST 24TH, 2010 I EXPERIENCED BEING LOCKED INSIDE OF MY VEHICLE IN 100 DEGREE HEAT. I COULD NOT OPEN THE WINDOWS, DOORS, OR SUNROOF. THE A/C DID NOT FUNCTION AND THE DASH LIGHTS WERE NOT FUNCTIONING. AT THIS TIME THEY DID SOMETHING TO THE CONTROL MODULE. UNDER WARRANTY - NO CHARGE. MY VEHICLE ROOF MADE CONTACT WITH THE GROUND JUST ABOVE THE DRIVER'S SEAT AND ALSO WHERE THE WINDSHIELD AND ROOF MEET ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE. AFTER BEING RELEASED FROM THE HOSPITAL WITH A SEVER CONCUSSION AND BRAIN SWELLING, AND A LACERATED LEFT TEMPORAL ARTERY DUE TO BY HEAD HITTING THE SIDE BEAM ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE, I OBSERVED MY VEHICLE. IT CONCERNS ME BECAUSE UPON OBSERVING THE VEHICLE I FOUND THAT NONE OF THE SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. I CANT SAY FOR SURE IF THESE AIRBAGS WOULD HAVE DEPLOYED IF IT WOULD HAVE MADE A DIFFERENCE IN MY INJURIES BUT THE THOUGHT STILL STICKS IN MY MIND. I WOULD HATE FOR THIS TO BE A REOCCURING THEME FOR THESE VEHICLES AND POSSIBLY COST SOMEONE THEIR LIFE. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 JEEP COMMANDER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE STALLED 5 TIMES SINCE IT WAS PURCHASED. WHEN THE VEHICLE STALLED, IT WOULD COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN. WHEN TRYING TO RE-START IT, EVERYTHING BUT THE ENGINE WOULD POWER UP. ON 02/16/2010, THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF WHILE SHE WAS DRIVING 10 MPH AND SHE STILL HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO RE-START THE VEHICLE SINCE THE COMPLAINT WAS FILED. SHE HAD NOT TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER. SHE CALLED THE MANUFACTURER AND INQUIRED ABOUT RECALL 08V059000 BUT WAS TOLD THAT HER VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED TO-DATE. THE VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER WAS NOT AVAILABLE AT THE TIME OF THE COMPLAINT. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 65,000. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 55,000.
2008 JEEP COMMANDER. CONSUMER STATES THE VEHICLE HAS A TRANSMISSION PROBLEM. *TGW THE VEHICLE WOULD STALL AND THERE WAS A SHIFTING PROBLEM. A TECHNICIAN DISCOVERED THE INCORRECT TRANSMISSION WAS INSTALLED IN THE VEHICLE. THE CONSUMER BELIEVED THE WRONG TRANSMISSION WAS INSTALLED AT THE MANUFACTURER. *JB
THIS VEHICLE HAS AN INTERMITTENT ELECTRICAL ISSUE, PERIODICALLY ALL OF THE DASHBOARD WARNING LIGHTS WILL FLASH ON AND THEN ALL OF THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS WILL FAIL - INCLUDING THE SPEEDOMETER AND OTHER INSTRUMENT GAUGES, THE TURN SIGNALS AND THE OTHER LIGHTS, THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS, THE RADIO, AND EVERYTHING ELSE. USUALLY EVERYTHING WILL RESET AFTER THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN PARKED, SHUT DOWN, ALLOWED TO "REST" FOR SEVERAL HOURS, AND RESTARTED. THIS EVENT HAS OCCURRED 8 OR 9 TIMES SINCE THE ORIGINAL INCIDENT. AFTER THE MOST RECENT INCIDENT THE RADIO SPEAKERS WENT DOWN ONE BY ONE AND YOU CAN NO LONGER USE THE RADIO, HOWEVER YOU DO SOMETIMES GET A LOUD STATIC SOUND OVER THE SPEAKERS - EVEN THOUGH THE RADIO IS TURNED OFF. I CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP AFTER THE ORIGINAL INCIDENT AND WAS TOLD THAT WHEN THIS FAILURE EVENT OCCURS THE SYSTEM WOULD "RESET ITSELF" WITHOUT INTERVENTION, AND THAT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY A DIAGNOSTIC FEE IF I BROUGHT THE VEHICLE IN FOR TESTING, SO I HAVE BEEN PUTTING UP WITH THIS EVER SINCE. HOWEVER, NOW THAT OTHER RELATED SYSTEMS ARE FAILING PERMANENTLY I AM NOT WILLING TO PUT UP WITH IT ANY LONGER, I AM CONCERNED THAT EVENTUALLY EVERYTHING ELSE WILL FAIL PERMANENTLY INCLUDING THE INSTRUMENTS, TURN SIGNALS, WINDSHIELD WIPERS, ETC. THE CONSUMER SENT AN E-MAIL REQUESTING TO ADD ADDITIONAL INFO. YESTERDAY, 07/21/2011, THIS VEHICLE STALLED OUT TWICE WHILE IN OPERATION WHILE MY WIFE WAS RUNNING ERRANDS IN NORMAL CITY TRAFFIC. IN BOTH CASES SHE WAS ABLE TO STEER THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD USING THE VEHICLE'S MOMENTUM AND WAS SHE WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE A SHORT WHILE LATER. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THAT THE COMPLAINT ISSUE HAS ACTUALLY RESULTED IN THE VEHICLE STALLING OUT WHILE IN TRAFFIC. IT IS ALSO THE FIRST TIME THAT THE COMPLAINT ISSUE HAS OCCURRED IN SUCH RAPID SUCCESSION - FOR THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS THE FREQUENCY HAS BEEN ONCE EVERY 3 OR 4 MONTHS, NOW IT IS BECOMING ONCE OR TWICE A WEEK (OR IN THIS CASE, IN A DAY). UNABLE TO ADD THE LAST FEW LINES OF CONSUMERS SENTENCE AS THERE IS A CHARACTER LIMIT. 07/22/11
