THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE EXPERIENCED A PUNCTURE AND HAD THE VEHICLE TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO HAVE THE TIRE REPAIRED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT ALL THE OTHER TIRES SHOWED TREAD SEPARATION. THE CONTACT CONTACTED THE LOCAL WALMART WHERE THE TIRES WERE PURCHASED BUT WAS OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE TIRE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 170,000. THE TIRE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 35 MPH, THE TIRE PRESSURE MEASURING SYSTEM WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. ONCE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY, THE CONTACT INSPECTED THE TIRE AND NOTICED THE TREAD WAS SEPARATING. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED, NOR WERE THE TIRES REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 107,825. *BF CONSUMER MADE AN ATTEMPT TO CALL THE DEALER BUT WAS CLOSED BECAUSE OF COVID-19.*JB
TIRE VALVE STEM CORROSION. TIRE VALVE STEMS CORRODE AND BREAK OFF VERY EASILY. LUCKY FOR ME THE VALVE STEM BROKE OFF WHILE I WAS PARKED AND FILLING THE TIRE AND NOT WHILE I WAS DRIVING. COULD CAUSE SERIOUS PROBLEM IF IT HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING CAUSING THE TIRE TO LOOSE AIR PRESSURE RAPIDLY. I HAVE RESEARCHED AND FOUND THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM FOR MY MAKE AND MODEL JEEP. I REPLACED ALL OF MY VALVE STEMS FOR SAFETY PURPOSES AND THEY COST $107.00 WITH PARTS, LABOR AND TAX AT A JEEP DEALERSHIP. BELIEVE THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL ON IT DUE TO JEEP KNOWING ABOUT THE PROBLEM AND NOT DOING ANYTHING TO FIX IT. COULD CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH IF NOT TAKEN CARE OF SOON.
