IPC Instrument Panel Cluster started on/off in the digital dash screen since Wednesday morning but coming back to my Moms house it went off. I was able to drive my vehicle back, parked. I got stomach sickness until Sunday I went to turned on vehicle and it didn't started. Now it got me confused. Is it the IPC or the batteries? Vehicle opens, locks but didn't started. Plan on calling authorized dealer for Jeep since I changed the battery this past year for shutting off, think like December 2023. Hopefully, it gets resolved but it might been the IPC since a few vehicles including Gladiator model from 2020 was included. NHTSA Recall number 24V652000. Also Manufacturer Recall Number: 30B fyi.
While driving under normal, clear road conditions, my center gauge cluster display went black. I have checked my fuses (both fuses that are assigned to the instrument cluster, both were functioning as designed) and disconnected the negative battery terminal to allow the system to reset with negative results. This puts my vehicle, and others, is an unsafe position because I am unable to tell anything about certain critical vehicle data such as engine temperature, fuel level, mileage, TMPS, etc. I have not taken the vehicle to the dealership yet because I don't feel comfortable driving it. There were no warning lights or problems prior to this issue presenting.
The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Gladiator. The contact stated while driving at 45 MPH, the sun visor had detached both the driver and passenger sides. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the sun visor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but failure persisted. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 67,000.
The instrument cluster panel is blank. unable to see mileage, gas level, Speed or anything the instrument cluster will tell us. We ran out of gas on the highway because we cannot see the level. We cannot see how fast we are going. I cannot see the mileage. I cannot read any warnings if there are any to tell me what may be wrong with the vehicle. It is a serious safety hazard. It was brought into Planet Jeep in Franklin Ma for a 30B recall and they told me when I got there there was no fix for the problem at this time. nothing appears. there are no warnings because it does not work it is blank.
My instrument panel cluster on my 2020 Jeep Gladiator has gone totally dark...no speed, no gas gauge, no temp, no milage, no functionality...no can drive!!! I couldn't even get the emissions tested because they can't record the milage on the vehicle. There is a FCA safety recall (#30B) issued for this exact problem for my exact make/model/year, however the dealership (Premier, Hyannis Ma) says there is not a recall, stating "there's a lot of stuff on the internet, we don't have a recall for that", then handed me a $1300 quote to replace the dead panel cluster. I then called the FCA Customer service, they confirmed the recall existed, however my vin # didn't meet the recall.

The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 51,000.
The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Gladiator. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the instrument panel went blank. Upon investigation, the contact discovered an email that was received for NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V652000 (Electrical System). The contact called two dealers and was informed that the vehicle was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was also notified of the failure and confirmed that the VIN was not included in the recall. The failure mileage was approximately 45,000.
Small driver information screen between tach and speedometer went black, I don't know how much gas, mileage or any vehicle info.
I was under the hood of my vehicle changing air/oil filters and oil yesterday. I noticed several wires had the insulation melted off. I found the ODI Resume Investigation: PE24024 for underhood vehicle fires regarding Jeep and thought this might be exactly what is being investigated. I took pictures. If this site doesn't allow uploading pictures I can be contacted for them.
Driving on hwy at 55 miles per hours complete power loss. No engine no electrical. I was able to coast to stop but was not able to activate hazards . I had just had the aux battery for auto start stop replaced by lithia Jeep dealer in corpus Christi
Went to go leave for work and my instrument cluster was completely blank. Was unable to see odometer, CELs, sensors, fuel levels, etc. The cluster never turned back on. I was finally able to get it into a dealer to confirm that the cluster and the gateway module were locked up. The mileage on the vehicle is just over 61,000.
The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Gladiator. The contact stated that the instrument cluster was inoperable. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with internal failure of the instrument cluster. The dealer determined that instrument cluster needed to be replaced. The dealer informed the contact the vehicle could not be repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V652000 (Electrical System); because the VIN was not included. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 58,000.
The information center on my 2020 Jeep gladiator will go out and will stay off for months at a time, as well as all warning lights. I consider this to be a serious safety hazard.
The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Gladiator. The contact stated while driving approximately 35 MPH, the instrument cluster went black. The contact stated there was no warning light illuminated. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the instrument cluster had a short circuit and needed to be replaced. The contact was informed that there was a recall related for the failure; however, the VIN was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V652000 (Electrical System). The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 35,000.
The instrument panel completely failed It went blank with no warning Lost access to critical driving information It creates a serious safety risk There is a known recall for the same issue, but my VIN was excluded
When cresting a hill the sun was suddenly shining brightly into the driver's eyes. When deploying the driver's side sun visor, the hinge broke, making the visor flop loosely down, not effectively blocking the sun, and causing driver distraction. When trying to find a repair remedy online, this appears to be a widespread and multi-year problem that the manufacturer is back-logged on the necessary repair parts. The defect is so widely known and spread, that an after market retailer has developed and is selling repair parts to address this manufacturers safety design defect.
The instrument panel cluster of my 2020 Jeep Gladiator is blank, no display. Therefore, my odometer, fuel gage and several other notifications are not visible and makes it hazardous to drive my car. My eyes keep looking to a blank blacked out panel. The recall #30B for the instrument cluster panel does not include my vin #. My Jeep service center said that it is the piece I need and it will cost $2,000 to replace. I do not have the funds for the unit. Please ask them to include my Gladiator in the recall. Thank you.
The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Gladiator. The contact stated while driving 65 MPH, the instrument panel became inoperable. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed and the contact was informed that the instrument panel needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V652000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
While driving on the interstate, driver and passenger sun visors has fallen out of the sun visor mount blocking/impairing road visibility. It is extremely dangerous when this happens at highway speeds as an individual may lose control on their vehicle.
I reported over a year ago that my center display went blank and is still blank. When I first reported the problem the first recalls came out on other gladiators but mine wasn't included in that recall. And still today every gladiator has been recalled except mine. I dont understand how older models and some 2020 and even new models have been recalled but mine still hasn't been. So here I am going on 2 years plus and nothing. Guessing how much gas is in my jeep is getting old especially since I paid so much for this vehicle. Its dangerous to drive since all your warnings and fuel is all on that display.
In May of 2024 the center screen on my instrument cluster failed. There was a recall on this but my VIN was not included. 2020 Jeep Gladiator [XXX] . Now, an NHTSA probe was announced on the same issue. I paid $2,765.75 in parts and labor to have the failed screen replaced. Ultimately, I am hoping to be reimbursed for this. I have a problem with the windshields is so fragile and it’s not strong enough it keeps damaging so bad
I have a 2020 Jeep Gladiator. My instrument panel cluster was blinking for a few weeks. Now there is no light at all. One can not see the milage, gas, speed, etc. There was a current recall that came out September 2024, however mine was not included. This poses a safety issue as one can not see mileage (oil changes), gas remaining or any other significant messages (air bag, coolant information, brake system, tire pressure, etc) When we brought it to the dealership they said it was not covered yet, but wait it out.
Loss speedometer and all dash gauges. Known problem on Forums; however NO TSB or Recall to fix issue. Plethora of CEL codes to include causing speed to not display on digital or analog indicators.
Entire instrument cluster went out no gages speedometer warning lamps etc.
Rear window leaks badly, when raining causes the interior to fog up making it difficult to see. Turning on A/C clears most the fog, but the rear window is still not clear enough to see what's behind or on the sides when making lane changes. This is not an isolated incident, Jeep repairs with the same process which leaks again after a few months. Need a permanent fix to this design flaw.
Regarding my 2020 Jeep Gladiator. Rear Window Cracks Around Rear Glass Frame. On [XXX], I took my Gladiator to Jeep dealership to repair leak in roof that wasn't covered under warranty. It was in the seal of the roof panels which they said many Gladiators are experiencing. Paid $402 out of pocket to have those seals repaired. At that service visit, the service attendant advised me that they are aware of a structural defeat causing cracks around the seal of the rear window. They said the whole rear window needs to be replaced at an out of pocket cost to the consumer of $1800. Jeep Warranty nor our extended warranty covers any of it. Also there is no recall for it! They told us to call Jeep to complain as they didn't think this was right. They were going to call as well. I called the number they gave me 1-877-426-5337 and the rep said it wasn't covered but gave me a case number and said he would pass on our complaint. Being a defect and a large window, it could most definitely be a safety issue and we feel Jeep should issue a recall. I believe many consumers out there are beginning to have this same issue. The Gladiator first came out in 2019 and issues with them are just coming to light. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
hit bump in road started violent wobble
Dash lights (entire dash lights including radio and start/stop, heat/air) have gone out while driving. It is available for inspection upon request. Without critical information displayed there is an increased risk of a crash. Yes, the problem has occurred on other 2020 Jeep Gladiators and there is a recall on them. I took it the dealer and was informed that my Gladiator doesn’t fall under the recall. There was no indications other than a clicking noise in the dash and out they went. After the 4th time, the start/stop light has been on and doesn’t work and also on that part of the panel, heat/air controls do not work properly. When I start the vehicle, the air conditioner automatically comes on, on high and at the same time, the rear defogger/ heated mirrors comes on also and I cannot turn them off. They stay on for 5 minutes and then go off on their own, then and only then I am able to adjust the controls to what I want them on.
2020 Jeep Gladiator purchased new experienced violent shaking of the steering wheel and partial loss of control at highway speed on March 10, 2024 with the odometer at 27,500 miles. The shaking is commonly referred to as a "death wobble" incident. While driving at approximately 60mph on the interstate the vehicle became unstable on uneven pavement and began to shake so violently it nearly resulted in an accident and we had to immediately pull off the highway into the median. After a quick inspection no damage was found, the death wobble incident happened again the same day to a lesser degree and vehicle seems to be more unstable each use. Vehicle is available for inspection. The death wobble is so severe enough to cause an accident due to loss of steering control and suspension instability as well as injure the drivers hands and arms due to violent movement of the steering wheel. Dealer service is being scheduled, no further inspection has taken place by police or manufacturer. There were no indicators or warning lights prior to the incident.
While driving the 2020 Jeep Gladiator on highway I experienced extreme vibrations and shaking of the steering wheel (Commonly referred to as the "Death Wobble" in other online complaints/videos). This occurred on at least 8 occasions when traveling at highway speed (65mph to 70mph) after hitting a bump (ex. overpass bridge joint) or rough patch of road (ex. pothole). The steering wheel and whole front end of the vehicle wobble violently and it can only be corrected by reducing speed rapidly. This creates a safety issue as rapidly decelerating to get the vehicle under control on a highway puts my vehicle and the vehicles following me in danger. After reading other complaints, this appears to be an issue with Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Gladiator models going back several years.
When driving over 50 mph and hit a small bump the jeep goes to shacking "death wobble". I have taken it to the dealership where I had purchased it, and they looked and stated it was a recall. This was back in March 2024. Here it is end of October 2024 and still waiting on the part to be shipped to the dealer ship so it can be fixed. It is unsafe to drive as it is. And is my only vehicle. What is taking so long on the parts
The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Gladiator. The contact stated that while driving, the clutch was slipping. While shifting gears, the clutch failed to engage. The backup camera was inoperable. Additionally, while exiting the express ramp, there was a burning odor detected. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V116000 (Power Train); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer, who informed him about the fees and replacement of the defective part. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. VIN tool confirms parts not available. The failure mileage was approximately 38,000.
Steering is very loose in the vehicle, I have experienced "death wobble" twice while driving the vehicle. It was taken in for service, and the dealership replaced the steering stabilizer as they said it had failed. Since getting the vehicle back, the issue has not been fixed, in fact...the steering is even more loose now, it feels unsafe to drive.
Some problems with the clutch and the manufacturer doesn't have the parts to fix the recall issue
So I purchased this vehicle in August of 2021. 6 months after purchasing I received another recall saying this is not safe to drive. I have only a 2 seater car to try and take my family places. It’s getting ridiculous I have paid 65000 for a car not safe to drive.
The oil pump failed at 23,000 miles, then while traveling on [XXX] in New York, the engine failed at 48,000 miles. Fortunately we exited the freeway before a catastrophic failure could occur. The dealer was contacted and I was informed not to drive the vehicle, but to have it towed to the dealership. At the dealership they found the engine had a severe knock and informed me a complete new engine was needed. The engine was never taken apart for inspection, as they mentioned it would be at my expense, that of an additional $1800.00. The cost for engine replacement was $11916.16. If the engine seized on the freeway, a disaster could have occurred. Dealership stating the oil changes were over their recommendations. Four dealerships were contacted and all had different oil change intervals. Dealership stated the North East is a "severe service" area. The other three Chrysler dealerships never heard of this. Also the oil I ran was Amsoil full synthetic with the oil manufacturer recommending up to 12,000 miles oil change intervals, this dealer states 4,500 miles. Other dealers state "go by the book" of 7,500 to 10,000 miles, one states 6,000 miles, another states 6,500 mile intervals. A little long winded story, point being an engine failure traveling at highway speed could have caused severe, possibly life threatening results. My complaint is on the oil pump failure causing this problem, I base my case revolving around the oil pump failure causing engine oil starvation. The dealer states the engine was still getting oil. The oil pump is a two stage pump, low stage-40 PSI, high stage 80PSI. The high stage of the pump failed, not supplying enough oil to the top of the engine. If 40PSI was sufficient to maintain this engine, Chrysler would not have spent millions of dollars to develop a high pressure stage in this pump. Thank you for your consideration in this case. In early January 2024 I was driving on the interstate at the posted speed limit of 70 mph and upon hitting what I would call a moderate bump on the roadway my steering wheel felt as though it was wobbling. Later in the month while driving at the same speed of at least 70 mph I would hit a bump and experience the steering wheel wobble, only it was getting worse. The steering wheel wobble could cause a safety issue in that the driver could lose control of proper steering thereby causing a vehicle crash with injury to myself, my wife, or even others on the roadway. I took my 2020 Jeep Gladiator Overland to the nearest Jeep Dealership to me and when I made inquiry to the technician that worked on my vehicle, he stated that he had taken my Jeep on the interstate and tried to recreate the wobble issue. In his words, the steering wheel "wobbled [XXX]. The remedy for the issue according to the technician was to replace the steering stabilizer/damper, which evidently is a known issue I found out and was covered under an extended 8 year warranty due to it being a known problem. At only 65,000 miles and hitting all of my scheduled maintenance my transmission failed while driving causing me to get stuck in 5th gear and jerking me off the road.
The contact's sister owns a 2020 Jeep Gladiator. While the contact’s sister was driving at an undisclosed speed, the instrument cluster went black. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed, and determined that the instrument cluster needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and provided a complaint number. The contact researched online and related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V652000 (Electrical System); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The failure mileage was approximately 77,000.
The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Gladiator. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the instrument panel failed to display the speedometer, warning lights, engine oil gauge, and the fuel gauge as needed. The failure had caused the vehicle to run out of fuel several times. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic after being involved in a crash while the vehicle was parked, and the mechanic related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V652000 (Electrical System); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The contact was advised to take the vehicle to the dealer. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to report the failure to the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was unknown.
While driving the drivers side sun visor attachment failed and the visor fell down in my field of view on a 2 lane highway and would not stay up. The road was smooth and there was no jarring that caused it to fall down at that time. Looking at the design, it appears to be a plastic part that failed at a reduced area so just a poor design. Suspect it affects most of the Jeep Gladiators and wranglers.
My clutch stopped working and was repaired under 19A recall. Now I am getting serv 4WD notices, my vehicle has gone limp and unknown fluid leaked the day after repaired. Vehicle has been in the shop over 5 times since clutch stopped working 26 Nov 2023. Consistently breaking down or getting service light failures.
The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Gladiator. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V116000 (Power Train) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
I was driving on the highway going 80mph in 6th gear and my wife smelled something then the gears started grinding I put it in neutral as I was slowing down I was trying to get to the exit which was about 1/4 mile away so I put the truck in 4th and thats when the transmission exploded sending fire and transmission parts on the highway. I saw flames come out from under the vehicle and from the engine compartment, I told my wife to get out and we got everything that we could grab and within 5 minutes the Jeep was engulfed in flames
The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Gladiator Overland. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, they would smell a burning odor coming from the clutch. The local dealer was contacted but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated the vehicle caught on fire after being driven for a while. The contact exited the vehicle and the fire department extinguished the flames. No injuries were sustained. A fire report and police report were filed however no information was not available. The contact stated the vehicle was towed to another dealer where it was diagnosed that the clutch needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 12,000.
After only 19,000 miles driven the left and right side rear seat belts ripped. This is a 3rd car and not driven often. Both belts ripped from inside the recoil device. It is possible they broke previously and I only discovered it recently when putting my kids in the car.
The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Gladiator. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, several unknown warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to shift into the intended gear. The contact stated he heard an abnormal clucking sound and smelled a burning odor throughout the vehicle. The contact veered the vehicle off the road and notified a towing company. The vehicle was towed to the residence and then towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that pressure plate and clutch assembly had failed and needed to be replaced. The contact stated that he was then informed that the VIN was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V116000 (Power Train) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact was advised by the dealer to purchase an after-market part to repair the vehicle then seek reimbursement. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 83,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
I recently purchased my Jeep Gladiator and the steering is extremely loose and if feels out of control while driving. I contacted my local dealership and they refused to help and told me to call Chrysler corporate. I contacted Chrysler and they rejected my claim and refused to help. The dealership told me there was [XXX] that states the steering gear box was aluminum and was recommended to be replaced with a different style. This vehicle I just purchased has not be changed and is a safety issue due to loose steering and at high speeds the vehicle feels out of control and dangerous.
