WE ARE THE ORIGINAL OWNER'S OF OUR JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE (2003) AND THE FRONT DRIVER'S SEAT STARTED WOBBLING FROM SIDE TO SIDE, WHICH MAKES DRIVING DISORIENTING PARTICULAR WHEN GOING AROUND CURVES. WHEN TAKEN IN TO THE SHOP WE WERE TOLD THAT THE BRACKETS ATTACHING THE SEAT FRAME HAVE FAILED AND ARE BROKEN AND NEED TO BE WELDED OR NEED A REPLACEMENT SEAT. AFTER RESEARCHING THIS ISSUE WE FOUND THAT THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE AND REPLACING THE SEAT OR RE-WELDING THE SEAT BRACKETS WILL ONLY RESULT IN THIS HAPPENING AGAIN BECAUSE BRACKETS ARE MADE OF CHEAP METAL. I AM VERY FEARFUL THAT THE SEAT WILL CAUSE AN ACCIDENT (DUE TO THE DISORIENTED IT CAUSES WHEN DRIVING) OR THAT AN INJURY WILL OCCUR BECAUSE THE SEAT WILL COMPLETELY DETACH IN WHICH CASE THE SEAT BELT IS BASICALLY WORTHLESS IN PREVENTING INJURY DURING AN ACCIDENT. GIVEN THE NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS ON THIS ISSUE THAT CAN BE FOUND IN A BASIC GOOGLE SEARCH IT IS DISGUSTING THAT DAIMLER/CHRYSLER HAS DONE NOTHING TO REMEDY THIS SITUATION. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 5 MPH, THE AIR BAG DEPLOYED ERRONEOUSLY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES AS A RESULT OF THE DEPLOYMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION. THE DEALER WAS NOTIFIED AND STATED THAT THEY HAD NEVER HEARD OF ANY SUCH FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND STATED THAT THEY WOULD SEND AN INVESTIGATOR TO FURTHER INSPECT THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000.
IN 2012 WE RECEIVED OUR FIRST RECALL NOTICE FROM CHRYSLER GROUP LLC. I RESPONDED BY SETTING UP AN INSPECTION APPOINTMENT WITH THEM. THEY LATER CANCELLED THE APPOINTMENT. IN 2013 I RECEIVED THE 2ND RECALL NOTICE. I SET UP ANOTHER INSPECTION, THEY INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND TOLD ME THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE THE PART ON HAND TO MAKE THE REPAIR. THEY WOULD ORDER THE PART AND CALL ME. THEY NEVER DID CALL BACK. I CALLED THEM LATER THAT MONTH TO CHECK ON THE PART AND THEY STATED THEY NEVER RECEIVED THE REPAIR PART. NOW I GET A THIRD RECALL NOTICE. THIS IS A COMPANY VEHICLE THAT TRANSPORTS MANY PASSENGERS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. WE ARE INDANGERING LIVES. I HAVE EXPRESSED THIS TO CHRYSLER AND THEY NEVER RESPOND WITH A REPAIR. PLEASE HELP. *TR

THE CONTACT RECEIVED THE RECALL LETTER IN 2012. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND ADVISED THAT THEY DID NOT KNOW WHEN THE PART WOULD BECOME AVAILABLE FOR REPAIR. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR CONDITIONING UNIT FAILED TO COOL PROPERLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSIS AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE COMPRESSOR WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FOLLOWING DAY THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MECHANIC THEN REWIRED THE AIR CONDITIONING UNIT BUT TO NO AVAIL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL TANK EXPOSED UNDER THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V046000 (AIR BAGS) HOWEVER, THE PART NEEDED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT TWO MONTHS PRIOR TO THE WARNING, THE AIR BAG WAS REPLACED BECAUSE OF FAILURE. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT STATED FUEL WAS LEAKING FROM THE FUEL TANK AND THE SMELL OF GASOLINE WAS INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT DID NOT TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER NOR CONTACT THE MANUFACTURER REGARDING THE FUEL LEAK. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 180,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 JEEP CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER AIR BAG DEPLOYED WHILE PARKING. THE CONTACT THEN ATTEMPTED TO EXIT THE VEHICLE AND THE FRONT DRIVER'S AIR BAG DEPLOYED, CUTTING HER ARM. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 172,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LAREDO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT FRACTURED FROM THE SEAT MOUNT. AFTER INSPECTING THE SEAT, THE CONTACT DISCOVERED NINE FRACTURES IN THE MOUNTING BRACKETS AND THE POWER RACK OF THE SEAT. NEITHER THE DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 136,113.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 5 MPH, THE TEMPERATURE INCREASED AND THE VEHICLE WAS CLOSE TO OVERHEATING. THE CONTACT INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND DISCOVERED THAT THE FAN MOTOR WAS NOT FUNCTIONING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING WHERE THE MECHANIC REPLACED THE FAN MOTOR. THE FAILURE RECURRED TWICE AFTER THE REPAIR. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT FURTHER REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 107,000.
DRIVER SIDE SEAT BRACKET IS BROKEN. MY SEAT BRACKET BROKE DURING NORMAL USE AND I AM AVERAGE WEIGHT. APPARENTLY 1,000'S OF THESE ARE BROKEN AND MANY PEOPLE ON THE INTERNET ARE COMPLAINING ABOUT IT. THE BROKEN BRACKET ALLOWS THE SEAT TO WOBBLE AND POSSIBLY FALL BACK WHILE DRIVING. BRACKET IS MADE OF THIN GAUGE STEEL. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS PROBLEM, PLEASE INVESTIGATE. *TR
POOR DESIGN AND CHEAP PLASTIC PARTS LED TO PREMATURE FAILURE OF THE HEATER/AC BLEND DOORS THAT CONTROL THE AIR FLOW OF THE HEATER AND AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM. THIS PROBLEM HAS EXISTED ON THE 1999 TO 2004 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. WHY DIDN'T CHRYSLER REPAIR THE DEFECT INSTEAD OF WAITING 6 YEARS? THE DEALER CHARGES $ 1300.00 TO MAKE THIS REPAIR.THE ACTUAL PART IS ABOUT $30.00. CHRYSLER SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THIS. *TR

THE AIR BAG ON OUR JEEP IS MAKING VERY STRANGE NOISES. FOR SAFETY REASONS WE MUST GET THIS REPAIRED IMMEDIATELY. WE ARE SO CONCERNED THAT THE BAG WILL DEPLOY WHILE DRIVING. WHILE STOPPED AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT MY JEEP STARTED TO ACCELERATE AND, EVEN WITH THE BRAKE PEDAL FULLY DEPRESSED, SURGED FORWARD. THIS HAS HAPPENED NUMEROUS TIMES IN THE PAST WEEK BOTH AT TRAFFIC LIGHTS AND AT STOP SIGNS, ALWAYS WHILE STOPPED. THE RPMS HAVE INCREASED TO BETWEEN 1,500 AND 4,500. THE JEEP DEALER ATTEMPTED TO FIX IT ON TUESDAY, HOWEVER THE PROBLEM RE-OCCURRED ON MY WAY HOME AND AGAIN WITH A MECHANIC IN THE VEHICLE WHEN I BROUGHT IT BACK. TO DATE, THE CAR IS STILL AT THE DEALER AND HAS NOT BEEN FIXED. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS LATER TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THEY ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THEY WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND THEY OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 120,000.
FOR AN AMERICAN MADE CAR THIS IS VERY UPSETTING. SEEMS LIKE AMERICAN CARS ARE MADE TO BREAK DOWN AND NOT LAST. A WAY FOR THESE CORPORATIONS TO MAKE MONEY. MY VEHICLE HAS NO HEAT AND HAS BEEN VIEWED BY A MECHANIC AND THE COST ARE INCREASINGLY UNFAIR. WITH ON 62K MILES, THIS ISN'T RIGHT! *TR
A CAR WASH ATTENDANT PROCEEDED TO ENTER THE CUSTOMER'S 2003 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE TO DRY IT DOWN AFTER IT ROLLED OFF OUR INSURED'S CAR WASH TRACK. THE VEHICLE WAS IN NEUTRAL. HE PLACED HIS FOOT ON THE BRAKE AND STARTED UP THE JEEP. HE PUT THE JEEP INTO DRIVE. THE ENGINE REVVED UP REALLY HIGH AND TOOK OFF. THE JEEP LURCHED AHEAD STRIKING THE CLOSED OVERHEAD CAR WASH DOOR. PHYSICAL DAMAGE TO THE DOOR AND THE CUSTOMER'S VEHICLE RESULTED. THE CUSTOMER'S VEHICLE WAS TOTALED. EMPLOYEE IS CERTAIN HE DID NOT PLACE HIS FOOT ON THE ACCELERATOR. REQUESTING ACTION BE TAKEN TO AVOID BODILY HARM AND MORE PROPERTY DAMAGE FROM OCCURRING IN THE FUTURE. UPDATED 01/17/12 *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THE VEHICLE INDEPENDENTLY ACCELERATED TO 70 MPH WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT SHIFTED INTO NEUTRAL TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE WAS RECURRING AND ON ONE OCCASION, THE CONTACT HAD TO STEER INTO A ROW OF BUSHES TO STOP THE VEHICLE FROM ACCELERATING ANY FARTHER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A MECHANIC SEVERAL TIMES FOR THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE WAS CONTRIBUTED TO A STICKING ACCELERATOR AND THE THROTTLE BODY WAS REPLACED TWICE HOWEVER, THE FAILURE WAS NOT CORRECTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 110,346 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 146,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER FRONTAL AIR BAG DEPLOYED ERRONEOUSLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO PERFORMED A DIAGNOSTIC WHICH LOCATED THE FAILURE AT THE OCCUPANT RESTRAINING CONTROL MODULE BUT THE PART WAS NO LONGER AVAILABLE FOR THE REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 164,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL ACTIVATED AT 60 MPH WHEN THE CRUISE CONTROL AND THE HORN FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE WHO DID NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 75,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 76,000.
I HAVE NO HEAT IN THIS VEHICLE. I REPLACE A PART AND DETACHED THE GLOVE COMPARTMENT PERMANENTLY SO THAT I CAN TURN A KNOB TO GET HEAT, AT LEAST, ON THE DRIVER SIDE. THERE IS ZERO HEAT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE, BUT I ENGAGE THE "C" BUTTON AND THE PASSENGER SIDE GETS RECIRCULATED AIR ON THAT SIDE, (NOT WARM, BUT AT LEAST NOT FREEZING COLD). SOMETIMES TURNING THE KNOB ENGAGES THE HEAT, SOMETIMES NOT. I HAVE DISCOVERED THAT THIS IS A DEFECT IN MANUFACTURING FOR 2003 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LIMITED VEHICLES, ALONG WITH PRIOR YEARS. HOWEVER, TO MY KNOWLEDGE, THERE HAS BEEN NO RECALL. I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE PRE-OWNED, WITH 80K MILES ON IT. MY QUESTION IS IF THIS IS A DEFECT IN MANUFACTURING, WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO PAY HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS TO REPAIR IT. IT SEEMS THAT THE DEALERSHIP SHOULD ABSORB THE COST OF THIS REPAIR AND NOT THE CONSUMER. ADDITIONALLY, WHY HASN'T THIS PROBLEM BEEN LISTED AS A RECALL? *TR

DRIVING ALONG, CAR SIMPLY CUTS OFF. NO WARNING. SOLUTION IS TO DISCONNECT BATTERY CABLES, WAIT ABOUT 5 MINUTES, RECONNECT AND RESTART. DEALERS ARE BAFFLED. NO KNOWN RELIABLE FIX. VERY DANGEROUS IF ON BRIDGE, INTERSTATE OR TUNNEL. ESPECIALLY A PROBLEM AT NIGHT, AS "FIX" INVOLVES SHUTTING OFF ALL LIGHTS INCLUDING HAZARD WARNING LIGHTS. *TR

NEITHER THE DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE NOR WAS THE VEHICLE DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE CURRENT AND THE FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 125,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
I HAVE RECEIVED A SAFETY RECALL NOTICE FROM CHRYSLER GROUP LLC INSTRUCTING ME TO CONTACT A LOCAL CHRYSLER JEEPDRID DEALER TO RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM. I HAVE CONTACTED TWO DEALER, ONE IN JAMESTOWN, NY AND ONE IN CORY, PA. I GET THE SAME RUN AROUND FROM BOTH DEALER. THEY DON'T HAVE THE AND WILL ORDER THEM AND CALL ME TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT. I WAITED SIX MONTHS ON THE DEALER IN JAMESTOWN BEFORE CONTACTING THE DEALER IN CORY, PA. I EXPLAINED MY PROBLEM TO THE SERVICE MANGER AND ASK IF THEY COULD DO THE REPAIRS. THAT WAS 2/5/14, HE ASSURED ME THEY COULD DO THE REPAIRS AND WOULD ORDER THE PARTS NEEDED. AS YOU CAN SEE THAT HAS FIVE MONTHS AND STILL NO WORD. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TURN SIGNALS WERE INOPERABLE. THE CONTACT CHANGED THE LIGHT BULBS AND THE FUSES WITHOUT SUCCESS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, BUT THE DEALER ADVISED THAT THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE BECAUSE THE TURN SWITCH WORKED PROPERLY AND ALSO CONTROLLED THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 176,000.
THE HEATER IN THE FRONT DRIVER SEAT STARTED AT FIRST TO HEAT UP AND NEARLY BURN THE LEGS OF THE DRIVER ON HIGH, HAD TO SET THE CONTROL TO LOW TO KEEP FROM BURNING THE LEGS OF THE DRIVER. AFTER COMING HOME FROM WORK THE POWER LIGHT SHOWED THAT THE SEAT WAS STILL ON, YET THE DRIVERS HEATED SEAT DOES NOT WORK ANYMORE. SMELLED SOMETHING BURNING PRIOR TO SHUTTING THE ENGINE OFF AFTER DRIVE HOME. SINCE THEN THE HEATED SEAT IN THE DRIVERS SIDE DOES NOT WORK ANYMORE. ALL OTHER CONTROLS FOR POWER SEATS ADJUSTMENTS WORK FINE. I CALLED JEEP DEALER FOR REPAIR, COME TO FIND OVER 100,000 VEHICLES HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM WHICH REQUIRED A RECALL ON THE HEATED SEATS (RECALL NO. F17, AND J14) ID# 06V197000, AND 09V117000. I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM THAT REQUIRES REPAIR BUT THEY WILL NOT FIX THE ISSUE UNDER RECALL. *TR

THE CONTACT SUFFERED MINOR BURNS TO THE WRIST AND THE PASSENGER SUFFERED MINOR BURNS TO THE KNEES AS A RESULT OF THE AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT. THE WINDSHIELD WAS ALSO FRACTURED. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER REGARDING THE FAILURE AND THE MANUFACTURER ADVISED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OUTSIDE OF WARRANTY AND THERE WERE NO RECALLS FOR THE FAILURE THEREFORE, THEY WERE UNABLE TO ASSIST. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INVOLVED IN A CRASH. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 99,700.

THE INVESTIGATOR ADVISED THAT THE FAILURE DID NOT DEEM INVOLVEMENT OF THE MANUFACTURER AND NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WOULD BE PROVIDED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THREE DIFFERENT MECHANICS WHO ADVISED THAT THERE WAS AN ELECTRICAL FAILURE THAT CAUSED THE DEPLOYMENT AND THAT THE VEHICLE COULD NOT BE REPAIRED. THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED THAT THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM COULD BE REPAIRED BUT WOULD ONLY CAUSE THE AIR BAGS TO DEPLOY AGAIN. THE INSURANCE COMPANY ALSO REFUSED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 98,000.

03' JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE WITH 100K MILES. HAS BEEN WELL MAINTAINED AND TAKEN CARE OF. I'M IN THE NAVY AND AM STATIONED AT NS NORFOLK WHERE THERE MANY TUNNELS. SO, I'M DRIVING HOME FROM THE NAVAL STATION AND MY JEEP IS RUNNING PERFECT, THEN ALL OF THE SUDDEN NOTHING. IT JUST DIES. I LET IT SIT A FEW MINUTES AFTER BARELY MAKING OFF THE ROAD AND IT STARTED BACK UP. EVER SINCE IT HAS STARTED DOING THIS PERIODICALLY AND ALWAYS NO PRIOR INDICATION. I'VE DONE SOME RESEARCH AND NOTICED THAT SEVERAL JEEP OWNERS ARE HAVE SIMILAR ISSUES. THIS SEEMS TO ME TO BE A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE TO ME. I CAN ONLY IMAGINE MY WIFE AND CHILD TRYING TO GET THROUGH A TUNNEL, OR A CURVE ANYWHERE AND IT JUST DIES. ALL OF THE SUDDEN NO POWER STEERING, NO POWER BRAKES AND TRAFFIC ZOOMING EVERYWHERE. THE SHORT CAUSED MAJOR DAMAGE AND THE MODULE HAD TO BE REPLACED. THE AIR BAG LIGHT ILLUMINATED AGAIN. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH ON A SMALL CITY STREET, BOTH FRONT AIR BAGS ON OUR 2003 JEEP CHEROKEE SPONTANEOUSLY DEPLOYED. THERE WAS NO COLLISION AND NO REASON FOR THE AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT. THE ROAD WAS SMOOTH AND THE WEATHER WAS CLEAR. POLICE CHECKED THE VEHICLE AND VERIFIED THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO THE OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE. MY WIFE, WHO WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE, APPEARS TO HAVE ONLY MINOR INJURIES BUT WILL BE CHECKED BY A DOCTOR TODAY. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER. THE INSURANCE COMPANY WAS ALSO CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THEY WANTED TO INSPECT THE FAILURE ON THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THEY WILL SEND A REPRESENTATIVE TO THE DEALER TO INSPECT THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 152,000.
THE FRONT DRIVERS POWER SEAT, BROKE FROM IT'S FRAME, THE PART WAS WELDED AND BROKE A SECOND TIME. THE SEAT IS UNSTABLE AND IN AN ACCIDENT COULD BREAK AWAY FROM THE TRACK AND WIND UP IN THE REAR SEAT. THE AIRBAG WOULD BE INEFFECTIVE. *TR
