TRAVELING ON I 95 . CAR ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND CAR SHIFTED INTO A GEAR THAT FELT NEUTRAL. I PUT THE HAZARD LIGHTS ON AND SLOWLY MOVED OVER. BASICALLY DOVE OFF EXIT IN NEUTRAL. ENGINE OFF AND RESTARTED. OK FOR A WHILE THEN HAPPENED AGAIN. GARAGE SAID THAT PART IS BACK ORDERED WHICH IS ALARMING TO ME. IS THIS A FREQUENT PROBLEM?

THE VEHICLE WAS PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AFTER FEW MINUTES WHEN RESTARTED, THE VEHICLE THEN OPERATED AS NORMAL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 91,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO BE RESTARTED AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS. THE FAILURE OCCURRED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE THE ISSUE WAS UNABLE TO BE DUPLICATED; HOWEVER, THE ELECTRONIC CHIP MODULE WAS REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED PER A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN, BUT THE ISSUE PERSISTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 19,000.

PRIOR TO HAVING THE VEHICLE REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V438000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM), THE FAILURE HAD NOT EXISTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND A CASE WAS FILED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 100,000.
REAR LIFT GATE CYLINDERS FOR THE BACK DOOR DO NOT WORK IN COLD - 50 DEGREES OR COOLER WEATHER. THEY DO NOT KEEP THE DOOR UP AND MANY TIMES THE BACK DOOR ALMOST OR DID COME CRASHING DOWN ON MY HEAD. THIS IS NOT A ONE TIME INCIDENT. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD WHICH COULD RESULT IN A POSSIBLE CONCUSSION, FRACTURED SKULL OR BROKEN NECK. LUCKILY THE LAST TIME SOMEONE SAW IT ALMOST CRASH ON MY HEAD WHILE UNLOADING GROCERIES THEY PICKED UP THE GATE BEFORE IT HIT MY HEAD. PRIOR INCIDENTS RESULTS IN THE DOOR HITTING MY HEAD.

THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF AND IN WHILE IN PARK, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL REMAINED STUCK. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO RESTART AND OPERATE CORRECTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE ISSUE PERSISTED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V438000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 191,000.
I HAVE TAKEN MY CAR TO THE MECHANIC SEVERAL TIMES NOW, AND EVERY SINGLE TIME THEY TELL ME THERE IS NOTHING SHOWING BUT AN EMISSIONS CODE. I'M TOLD IT IS THE GAS CAP TO REPLACE IT. MY JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE 2007 LAREDO ABOUT 149,000 MILES ON IT. NORMALLY, IT RUNS LIKE A CHAMP. I GET OIL CHANGES LIKE CLOCKWORK, AND EVERY TIME IT'S SUGGESTED TO FIX SOMETHING, I DO IT. IT STALLS VERY FREQUENTLY AT STOP SIGNS / STOP LIGHTS, AND I NEED TO LEAVE LOTS OF ROOM BETWEEN ME AND OTHER CARS SO I CAN STEADILY INCH FORWARD WHILE WAITING AT THE RED LIGHT, OTHERWISE IT WILL DIE. IT STARTS UP FINE, BUT STOPPING AGAIN AND IT WILL DIE AGAIN. IT'S TO THE POINT NOW THAT I'M SCARED TO DRIVE MY OWN VEHICLE. STALLS / DIES, ESPECIALLY WHEN THE A/C IS ON MECHANIC SAYS THEY'VE RUN DIAGNOSTICS ON THE CAR AND THE ONLY THING IT SHOWS IS THE EMISSIONS CODE. I'M TOLD YET AGAIN TO REPLACE THE GAS CAP. THIS HAS HAPPENED SINCE I HAVE OWNED THE VEHICLE. IT IDLES ROUGH AND HAS DONE ALL OF THIS SINCE I PURCHASED IT IN DECEMBER OF 2016.

LEFT TURN SIGNAL REMAINS ON WITH SWITCH IN NEUTRAL POSITION AT ALL TIMES
I AM WRITING IN REGARDS TO A POSSIBLE NEW RECALL ON THE 2007 JEEP CHEROKEE LAREDO. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN ACCELERATING SEVERAL TIMES NOW WHEN YOU TAKE YOUR FOOT OFF THE GAS. ON 9/22/16 THE VEHICLE WAS ACCELERATING RAPIDLY FOR 15 SECONDS EVEN WHEN I HAD MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE PADDLE TRYING TO STOP THE VEHICLE. I HAVE SOME RECORDINGS AND NEXT TIME THIS HAPPENS AGAIN I WILL BE RECORDING MORE FOOTAGE TO SHOW THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE ACCELERATION ON THE 2007 JEEP CHEROKEE LAREDO. I WOULD LIKE TO POINT OUT THAT AFTER THE RECALL OF P41/NHTSA 14V-438 WAS COMPLETE AND THE IGNITION SWITCH WAS REPLACED I HAVE STARTED TO HAVE PROBLEMS. FIRST THE NEW PART THAT WAS REPLACED CAUSED THE SHORT IN THE VEHICLE WHICH CAUSED THE VEHICLE NOT TO START. THIS WAS FIXED ON MY COST AND NOW THE VEHICLE ACCELERATES BY ITSELF AND IT IS VERY DANGEROUS.
DROPPED A VALVE SEAT AND DESTROYED THE ENGINE. HEAD AND PISTON DAMAGE. NORMAL EVERY DAY DRIVING. THIS IS THE SECOND JEEP ENGINE IN THIS CAR THAT BLEW UP AT 70K MILES.

THE ORIGINAL PROBLEM WAS A BATTERY LIGHT THAT CAME ON WHEN THE CAR WAS BEING DRIVEN DURING A LIGHT RAIN. THE SOLUTION SUGGESTED BY OUR NORMAL MECHANIC (WHO IS VERY GOOD AND HAS SERVICED THE CAR FOR YEARS) WAS TO REPLACE THE ALTERNATOR AND THEN IT WAS NOTED THE BATTERY WAS BAD. IT WAS REPLACED SINCE IT WAS THREE YEARS OLD. AFTER THE REPAIR THE CAR STARTED TO DIE INTERMITTENTLY WHILE BEING DRIVEN. THE CAR WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE MECHANIC WHO CHECK THE DIAGNOSTICS AND SAID IT APPEARED TO BE POINTING TO THE IGNITION SWITCH (BASED ON THEIR DIAGNOSTIC FLOWCHART). THE MECHANICS SERVICE TECHNICIAN WAS ABLE TO DUPLICATE THE STALLING IN THE VEHICLE WHEN HE DROVE IT. SUGGESTED WE TAKE BACK TO THE DEALER WHO HAD REPLACED THE IGNITION SWITCH TUMBLERS DURING THE RECALL FOR THIS VEHICLE LAST NOVEMBER. THE DEALER WANTED A $85 DIAGNOSTIC FEE TO JUST CHECK THE SWITCH. WE RECEIVED A DOWNLOAD OF THE DIAGNOSTIC CODES WHICH APPEAR TO BE RELATED TO MULTIPLE FAILURES OF IGNITION MODULES BUT THE DEALER REPORTED HIS SERVICE TECHNICIAN HAD NOT BEEN ABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. HE THOUGHT IT MIGHT BE THE TIPM BUT WAS SURE IT WAS NOT THE SWITCH. HE WAS UNABLE TO TELL US WHAT THE FAILURE WAS AND SAID WE WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR MORE DIAGNOSTICS IF HE WAS TO FIND OUT WHAT EXACTLY IT WAS. I TOOK IT BACK TO MY MECHANIC WHO REPLACED ALTERNATOR. HOWEVER, AS I WAS DRIVING THE CAR LAST SATURDAY IT DIED AFTER WE STOPPED AT A RAILROAD CROSSING WAITING ON A TRAIN AND THEN TRIED TO CROSS THE TRACKS AFTER THE ARMS HAD GONE UP. THE CROSSING T-BONES INTO ANOTHER ROAD AND A VERY DEEP BAR DITCH AT THE SIDE OF THAT ROAD. THE CROSSING WAS A STEEP INCLINE. ALMOST PUT CAR IN DITCH. MY WIFE WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO CONTROL AND STOP IT AS I BARELY WAS ABLE TO. AFTER REVIEWING OTHER SIMILAR COMPLAINTS I NOW BELIEVE IT IS THE TIPM. THIS IS SAFETY RELATED SINCE ALL SAFETY EQUIPMENT IS TIED TO THIS.
SOON AFTER THE P41 IGNITION SWITCH RECALL, WHILE DRIVING 1 MILE, THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER GAUGES STOPPED WORKING-SPEEDO, GAS, ETC , ALL WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED . INFORMATION MESSAGES IN THE IC NOTED "SERVICE REQUIRED : AND TRANSMISSION -OVER THE TEMPERATURE ALLOWED U1403,U1411,U110E, U110F AND OTHERS ALL IMPLAUSIBLE SIGNALS TO IC. WHILE DRIVING TRANSMISSION AN ROAD SPEED DECREASED IMMEDIATELY WHILE AT SPEED AND ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION TO NOT OPERATE IN A PREDICTABLY SAFE OPERATION. THESE ARE THE SYMPTOMS THAT THE RECALL WAS TO REPAIR. WHAT IS THE NEXT STEP?

WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND ALL OF THE WARNING INDICATORS FLASHED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE CONTACT PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER TO THE MEDIAN. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO RESTART AFTER VARIOUS ATTEMPTS. THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 130,000. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING HER 2007 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE WHEN IT SUDDENLY ACCELERATED AND THEN SLAMMED ON THE BRAKES TWICE. THE RPMS WERE 6000 OR 7000.

THE DEALER (BROWN'S JEEP CHRYSLER DODGE RAM, 483 NY-112, EAST PATCHOGUE, NY 11772, (631) 289-8500) WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE WHEN THE REMEDY AND PART WOULD BECOME AVAILABLE. THE DEALER STATED THAT THEY PLACED THE CONTACT ON A WAITING LIST FOR THE PART, BUT DID NOT SPECIFY WHAT NUMBER THE CONTACT WAS PLACED ON THE LIST. WHILE WAITING FOR THE PART, A FAILURE PROGRESSED THAT CAUSED THE KEY NOT TO TURN OVER TO START THE VEHICLE. ALSO, THE SERVICE ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD SEVEN TSBS ON THE ENGINE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
VEHICLE HAS HAD THE IGNITION RECALL DONE. IN THE HOT WEATHER, YOU CAN'T RUN THE AIR CONDITIONING AS THE CAR WILL INDISCRIMINATELY STALL WHEN YOU COME TO EITHER A STOP LIGHT OR A YIELD. CAR HAS TO BE PUT IN PARK AND RESTARTED. LAST WEEK, WHEN MERGING ONTO A HIGHWAY, RPMS WENT ALL THE WAY DOWN. HAD TO FLOOR THE CAR TO GET GOING AND IT KNOCKED VERY HARD. HAD JEEP DEALER LOOK AT THIS SEVERAL TIMES AND THEY KEEP SAYING THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR. THERE IS A PROBLEM HERE THAT JEEP IS NOT ADDRESSING. THEY DON'T WANT TO GIVE A FAIR BUY BACK PRICE ON THE CAR, KNOWING WE HAVE A 19 YEAR OLD DRIVING THE VEHICLE. OUR LOCAL MECHANIC HAS SAID THIS IS A VERY UNSAFE CAR AND HE WOULDN'T PUT HIS FAMILY IN IT. JEEP DEALERS DON'T WANT TO FACE THE PROBLEM OR ADDRESS IT. THIS HAS BEEN AN ISSUE FOR OVER A YEAR, BUT BECOMES MORE APPARENT IN SUMMER MONTHS OF HOT WEATHER.
THE TRANSFER CASE ON MY VEHICLE (2007 JEEP SRT) WENT OUT. I TOOK TO TWO REPAIR SHOPS AND DEALER AND EVERY PLACE INDICATED THAT THIS HAS BEEN A LONG STANDING ISSUE WITH THESE VEHICLES. I THEN FILED A COMPLAINT WITH CHRYSLER AND THE CASE MANAGER INDICATED THAT MY COMPLAINT WOULD STAY INTERNAL AND COULD NOT ADVISE ME ON WHERE TO FILE A COMPLAINT FOR A SAFETY OR MECHANICAL DEFECT. I THEN DID SOME RESEARCH AND IT APPEARS IT SHOULD GO THE NHTSA. WITH SUCH A COMMON DEFECT AND WITH SUCH A LARGE SCALE ISSUE (DEALERSHIP HAS PART FOR SALE FOR $4000-$6000 NOT INCLUDING LABOR) I DO FEEL THIS SHOULD BE CONSIDERED A RECALL.
TOOK IN JAN '15 FOR RECALLS - THEY ONLY FIXED 1 OF THE 3 (I HAD MADE AN APPT FOR ALL) IN DEC '15 IT KEPT LEAVING ME STRANDED AS THE RECALLS HAD NOT BEEN FIXED. THEY FINALLY FIIXED THE OTHER 2 (SERVICE 4 WHEEL DRIVE AND IGNITION SWITCH. I CALLED 3 WEEKS AGO AS IT KEPT SAYING "SERVICE 4 WHEEL DRIVE" AND SEVERAL TIMES SHIFTED ITSELF INTO 4 WHEEL LOW. NOW IT WON'T START AND IS STUCK AGAIN. LESS THAN 60,000 MILES AND IT IS WORTHLESS.

DESIGN TRAPS CRUD BETWEEN THE SKID PLATE AND FUEL TANK. OVER TIME, REMOVES THE PAINT AND CAUSES CORROSION. HOLE IN FUEL TANK CAUSES LOSS OF FUEL. I WAS DRIVING STRAIGHT AT APPROX 35 MPH ON A RURAL STREET WHEN THE FRONT LEFT TIRE PRESSURE DROPPED TO 1 PSI. AFTER INSPECTION I DISCOVERED THAT THE TIRE HAD SIDE WALL SEPARATION NEARLY AROUND THE ENTIRE TIRE.

I WAS DRIVING ON COUNTY ROAD ABOUT 45 MPH BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON THEN ABS LIGHT THEN MESSAGE SERVICE ANTI LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM, ENGINE AND BRAKE LIGHT THEY STAYED ON TILL I GOT HOME THERE WAS ALSO A VERY LOW HUMMING NOISE WHEN I TURNED OFF CAR IT WOULD NOT START AGAIN. IN MORNING IT STARTED I TURNED IT OFF AND IT WILL NOT START AGAIN. BATTERY AND ENGINE LIGHT ON. 11/19/15 RECALLS FOR IGNITION SWITCH,AND REPROGRAM FINAL DRIVE CONTROLLER MODULE WERE PERFORMED.

THE FAILURE RECURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSFER CASE DIFFERENTIAL CLUTCH FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,000.
THE VEHICLE TYPICALLY STALLS WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS BUT HAS STALLED ON CITY STREETS. WHEN THE VEHICLE STALLS I AM ABLE TO TURN THE IGNITION BACK ON AND DRIVE. I HAVE HAD THE P41 / NHTSA 14V-438 RECALL AND THIS DID NOT RESOLVE THE ISSUES. IT IS STALLING EVEN MORE OFTEN NOW. I HAVE HAD THIS ISSUE FOR THE LAST 3 YEARS I HAVE OWNED THE VEHICLE. I HAVE TAKEN IT IN FOR REPAIR TO 3 DIFFERENT REPAIR SHOPS NOT INCLUDING THE RECALL AND IT IS STILL NOT FIXED. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN. THE VEHICLE STALLED ONE PARTICULAR TIME AND I WAS ALMOST HIT BY A BUS ON THE HIGHWAY. WHEN THE VEHICLE STALLS YOU LOSE POWER STEERING AND I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO MAKE IT OUT OF THE WAY. THE CURRENT MILEAGE IS APPROXIMATELY 132,500.

WHILE IN MOTION ON HIGHWAY, INSTRUMENT PANEL WENT BLANK--CYCLED ON AND OFF SEVERAL TIMES THEN RETURNED TO NORMAL. WHEN ENGINE WAS OFF, IGNITION WAS OFF AND KEY WAS OUT OF IGNITION, LIGHTS WERE TURNED OFF, HEADLIGHTS TURNED ON AND OFF TWICE FOR NO REASON. WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY ON SLIGHT INCLINE, ENGINE LOST POWER FOR A FEW SECONDS THEN RETURNED TO NORMAL. VEHICLE HAS BEEN TO A CERTIFIED JEEP REPAIR SHOP AND THEY COULD NOT FIND THE PROBLEM. VEHICLE HAS BEEN TO DEALERSHIP FOUR TIMES FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. AFTER DRIVING LONGER THAN 10-15 MINUTES TURNING THE JEEP OFF AND TRYING TO RESTART WITHIN 5-10 MINUTES IT WON'T START. LET IT SIT FOR MINIMUM OF 20 MINUTES WILL START. THE RELAYS GET VERY WARM BUT AFTER COOLING, THE CAR STARTS. DEALERSHIP HAS ZINGED US FOR A NEW STARTER, IT DIDN'T NEED, A NEW PCM, IT DIDN'T NEED. TESTING MY OWN THEORY 3 CONSECUTIVE TIMES IN ONE DAY, DROVE THE VEHICLE AT LEAST 30 MINUTES. TURNED OFF AND ATTEMPTED TO RESTART (AS YOU WOULD A QUICK TRIP TO THE STORE) AND NOTHING BUT WAITING EACH TIME, CAR STARTS AFTER COOLING. PICKED UP THE JEEP TWO DAYS AGO FROM DEALERSHIP WHO HAD IT 18 DAYS TRYING TO FIX IT (3RD TIME)AND THE FIRST TRIP THAT DAY RESULTED IN ANOTHER OCCURRENCE OF THE SAME PROBLEM.
THE VEHICLE STALLS A VARIOUS SPEEDS, BUT TYPICALLY WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. MY DAILY COMMUTE IS ABOUT 32 MILES EACH WAY AND I TYPICALLY EXPERIENCE THE VEHICLE SHUTTING OFF ONCE PER DAY. WHEN THE VEHICLE DOES STALL I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO PLACE THE VEHICLE IN NEUTRAL, TURN THE IGNITION OFF, THEN RESTART BY TURNING THE IGNITION BACK ON AND PUTTING THE VEHICLE BACK IN DRIVE. I DID HAVE THE VEHICLE SERVICED FOR RECALL P41 / NHTSA 14V-438 WHICH WAS TO RESOLVE ISSUES WITH LOSS OF POWER DURING DRIVING BUT NO SIGNIFICANT CHANGES HAVE BEEN NOTICED SINCE THE REPAIR. THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN OCCURRING FOR ABOUT THE LAST THREE YEARS WITH INCREASING FREQUENCY. IT HAS BEEN TAKEN IN FOR REPAIR MULTIPLE TIMES, BESIDE THE RECALL REPAIR, WHILE UNDER WARRANTY BUT NEVER FIXED. THIS ISSUE IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN FOR MYSELF AND FAMILY AS THERE ARE TIMES WHEN THE VEHICLE STALLS WHILE ENTERING ONTO THE HIGHWAY OR DURING HIGHWAY TRAVEL. WHEN THE VEHICLE STALLS IT LOOSES POWER STEERING SO CONTROL AND SPEED PUT OURSELVES AND OTHERS AT DANGER. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, WHILE COMING TO A STOP THE ENGINE SHUT ITSELF OFF FOR NO REASON. IT THEN REPEATEDLY TRIED TO RESTART ITSELF, EVEN WITH THE KEY IN THE "OFF" POSITION. WHEN THIS HAPPENS POWER STEERING IS LOST CAUSING HARD STEERING. THE DEALER PERFORMED THE IGNITION SWITCH RECALL CLAIMING THAT WOULD RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. THIS PROBLEM CONTINUED AFTER THE RECALL REPAIR WAS PERFORMED.
MY JEEP HAS BEEN RECALLED DUE TO POSSIBLE IGNITION SWITCH FAILURE. I HAVE CALLED EVERY "CHRYSLER, JEEP, DODGE" DEALERSHIP AROUND ME AND ALL DEALERSHIPS HAVE A WAITING LIST OF A MINIMUM OF 2-3 MONTHS FOR PARTS TO BE IN TO FIX THIS PROBLEM. SERIOUS HAZARD. HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AGAIN AND NO DIAGNOSIS. TO ATTEMPT DIAGNOSIS NOW AT DEALERSHIP, AM CHARGED $130. IF NO DIAGNOSIS MADE, THEN I HAVE TO PAY THE CHARGES. ONE SATURDAY NIGHT I NEEDED TO RUN TO THE GROCERY STORE. WHEN I GOT BACK INTO MY CAR, IT WOULDN'T START. IT WAS OBVIOUSLY NOT A BATTERY PROBLEM BECAUSE THERE WAS A TERRIBLE TAPPING NOISE AND VIBRATION COMING FROM THE ENGINE. AFTER SPEAKING WITH A MECHANIC ABOUT THE CAR, I WAS TOLD IT IS PROBABLY A DROPPED VALVE SEAT. NOW, I AM LOOKING AT OVER $4000 TO SWAP AN ENGINE THAT WAS NEVER HOT-RODDED OR ABUSED. AFTER A SIMPLE SEARCH ONLINE, I FIND THAT THIS IS A VERY COMMON ISSUE FOR THE 5.7L HEMI ENGINES. SO MUCH SO THAT I HAVE NO IDEA WHY THERE ISN'T A RECALL OR CLASS ACTION SUIT.

WHILE DRIVING OR PARKED WITH ENGINE RUNNING ALL DASH WARNING LIGHTS FLASH ON AND OFF ANY INTERIOR LIGHTS THAT ARE ON TURN OFF, RADIO TURNS OFF AND HEATER/AC AND FAN TURN OFF FOR A COUPLE SECONDS THEN TURN BACK ON.
