I WAS DRIVING MY 2013 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE ON A CITY STREETWHEN MY EYES AND THROAT STARTED BURNING. MY 10 MONTH OLD INFANT BEGAN TO CRY AS I REALIZED SMOKE WAS FILING THE CABIN. I PANICKED, AND PULLED OVER, TURNED OFF THE CAR AND IMMEDIATELY TOOK MY BABY OUT OF THE CAR. WE REMAINED IN THE SIDE OF THE ROAD FOR ASSISTANCE. I CONTINUED SEEING SMOKE COMING OUT OF THE RIGHT SIDE OF MY CAR. WHEN ASSISTANCE ARRIVED, I REALIZED THE RIGHT VISOR HAD CAUGHT ON FIRE AND A RESULT WAS BURNED WITH A BLACK HOLE. I TOOK MY JEEP TO THE DEALERSHIP ON JANUARY 6, 2015 TO GET IT SERVICED FOR RECALL P 36, WHICH IS RELATED TO THE SUN VISOR WIRING. I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALERSHIP, THAT THE RECALL HAD BEEN COMPLETED. I CONTACTED CHYRSLER CUSTOMER SUPPORT AFTER MY JEEP WAS ON FIRE AND FILED A COMPLAINT. THE REPRESENTATIVE WAS SO RUDE AND TOLD ME IT WOULD TAKE 2-3 BUSINESS DAYS TO GET MY CASE REVIEWED. THIS WAS NOT A SURPRISE, AS I HAVE DEALT WITH CHRYSLER CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THE PAST AND HAVE NEVER HAD A GOOD EXPERIENCE. I FEARED FOR MY SAFETY AS WELL THE SAFETY OF MY INFANT. I REFUSE TO DRIVE THAT CAR, AND WAS TOLD BY THE CUSTOMER REPRESENTATIVE THAT I SHOUKD TAKE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP. WHY THEY WOULD SUGGEST THAT ? I DON'T KNOW. I DON'T FEEL SAFE AND NOW I AM CAR LESS AS I WAIT FOR SOMEONE TO REVIEW MY CASE.
DEALER REQUIRES THAT I LEAVE THE VEHICLE AT THE DEALER'S REPAIR SHOP FOR AN ENTIRE DAY AND THAT I PAY THEM A RENTAL FEE FOR A LOANER CAR DURING THAT PERIOD. I WILL NOT PAY TO HAVE THESE MANUFACTURER DEFECTS CORRECTED. THERE ARE CURRENTLY FOUR (4) OUTSTANDING RECALL NOTICES ON THIS VEHICLE AND THEY WILL NOT FIX ANY OF THEM WITHOUT COMPENSATION.

THE VEHICLE WAS PLACED IN PARK, RESTARTED, AND TAKEN TO A LOCAL DEALER WHERE THE FAILURE WAS UNABLE TO BE DUPLICATED. THE FAILURE RECURRED AND WAS NOT REMEDIED. PRIOR TO THE FAILURE, THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED ACCORDING TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V115000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 63,806.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. WHILE DRIVING AT 50 MPH, THE VEHICLE OVERHEATED AND THE COOLANT WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT PULLED OFF THE ROAD INTO A PARKING LOT, LOOKED UNDER THE HOOD, AND NOTICED ALL OF THE FLUID HAD DRAINED. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE RADIATOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE CONTACT NOTIFIED THE MANUFACTURER OF THE RADIATOR FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,900.
I HAVE ONLY OWNED THIS VEHICLE FOR TWO MONTHS. LEFT FRONT DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT WENT OUT. HAVE HAD INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS WITH THE RIGHT REAR DIRECTIONAL GOING OUT. BULBS ARE GOOD. NOT SURE OF SOURCE OF PROBLEM. WE HAVE TAKEN THE ASSEMBLY OUT AND DIRECTIONAL WORKS. AFTER PUTTING IT BACK IN, IT DOES NOT WORK. ALSO HAPPENED AFTER A CAR WASH; NOT SURE IF THAT IS REALLY THE PROBLEM THOUGH- WE LIVE IN AZ AND HARDLY EVER GET RAIN. CURRENTLY, I DO NOT HAVE USE OF THE DIRECTIONAL IN THE REAR.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, BUT THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE OCCURRED SEVERAL TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 32,900.

The contact owns a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V813000 (Electrical System). The contact stated that the vehicle failed to start while the contact's wife was attempting to start the vehicle. The contact's wife forcefully pushed the shift lever to neutral to start the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and to Lithia Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Fiat of Santa Rosa (2727 Dowd Dr, Santa Rosa, CA 95407) for the failure on two separate occasions, and the recall was repaired twice however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to a third dealer, Arrigo Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Margate (2250 FL-7, Margate, FL 33063). The dealer informed the contact that after speaking with the manufacturer, the recall had not been previously performed by the two previous dealers in California. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 30,500.
AFTER SIX MONTHS OF NO NOTICE OF THE AVAILABILITY OF THE PART TO REPAIR THE RECALL ON THE FUEL PUMP RELAY, I SCHEDULED SERVICE APPOINTMENT FOR 8/15. THE DEALER STILL DID NOT HAVE THE PART. I RECEIVED A PHONE CALL FROM HEATHER, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER. SHE CLAIMED I NEVER RECEIVED NOTIFICATION FOR ANY OF THE 3 RECALLS BECAUSE THE PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE, EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE. SHE SAID SOMEONE IN THE SERVICE CENTER IS SUPPOSED TO SCREEN THE APPOINTMENTS AND CONTACT OWNER IF PART IS NOT AVAILABLE AND ACKNOWLEDGED THAT THE DEALERSHIP HAD FAILED TO DO THIS. I SCHEDULED ANOTHER APPOINTMENT TO REPAIR RECALL AND GET BRAKES EVALUATED. I DROPPED MY CAR OFF 10 AM ON 9/4. AT 1:45, I HAD NOT HEARD FROM THE DEALERSHIP AND CALLED AND LEFT VOICEMAIL ASKING ABOUT MY CAR. AT 4 PM, STILL NO WORD FROM THE DEALERSHIP, I CALLED AGAIN AND LEFT ANOTHER MESSAGE. AT 5 PM, STILL NO WORD, I TRIED WEB CHAT ON DEALER SITE AND REP DIDNT HAVE ANY INFORMATION. THE DEALER SERVICE DEPT CLOSED AT 6, SO I WENT TO GET MY CAR. THE SERVICE REP DIDNT KNOW WHERE MY CAR WAS. ON HIS DESK WAS A POST-IT WITH MY NAME AND PHONE NUMBER ON IT. HE RETURNED AFTER 10-15 MINUTES AND TOLD ME THE MECHANICS FOUND SOMETHING WRONG WITH MY BRAKES (STARTED AFTER 8/15 SERVICE) AND WANTED MORE TIME WITH IT. I ASKED IF MY CAR WAS IN A STATE I COULD TAKE IT HOME, I HAD BEEN TO THE DEALER ENOUGH TIMES ALREADY TO GET REPAIR. WHEN HE RETURNED, HE HANDED ME THE KEY AND MADE NO ADDITIONAL COMMENTS. I ASKED IF THE RECALL HAD BEEN REPAIRED AND HE SAID, "NO." SECOND TRIP TO DEALER FOR THE FUEL PUMP RELAY RECALL, THEY HAD MY CAR FOR OVER EIGHT HOURS AND DIDN'T REPAIR THE RECALL OR ANYTHING ELSE. I EMAILED HEATHER TO SHARE MY EXPERIENCE AT THE DEALERSHIP. TO DATE I HAVE RECEIVED NO RESPONSE FROM DEALER AND THE EMAIL SITE FOR JEEP DOESNT WORK. I WILL HAVE TO FIND ANOTHER DEALER TO FIX THE FUEL RELAY RECALL AND BRAKE ISSUE.

THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED IN 2015-2017 PER THE RECALL, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.

THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.

I RECEIVED RECALL R09/14V-115 ON APRIL 27, 2015. AS OF TODAY, JULY 17, 2015, THE DEALER SAYS THERE IS NO REMEDY TO THIS RECALL. YOUR LETTER STATES THE INTERNAL RELAY ON THE TIPM SHOULD BE DISABLED AND A NEW EXTERNAL RELAY INSTALLED. WHEN CAN I EXPECT THIS PROBLEM TO BE RESOLVED?
I HAVE A CHRYSLER RECALL #R09 (FUEL PUMP RELAY REPLACEMENT). AFTER SPEAKING WITH A FCA RECALL REPRESENTATIVE, I AN TOLD THAT THESE PARTS ARE STILL NOT AVAILABLE, YET MY VEHICLE IS A DANGER TO DRIVE! I DID RESEARCH, AND MY LOCAL DEALER CAN GET A TIPM MODULE WHICH INCLUDES THE FUEL PUMP RELAY, IN JUST 2 DAYS. I CAN HAVE MY VEHICLE REPAIRED IN JUST A WEEK. YET I'M STILL WAITING ON PARTS THAT FCA HAS "APPROVED" FOR THE REPAIR. FCA HAS STILL NOT OFFERED TO GIVE ME A SAFE RENTAL VEHICLE. THEY JUST TOLD ME TO DRIVE MY VEHICLE UNTIL IT STALLS/WONT START, OR UNTIL "APPROVED" PARTS ARRIVE. AFTER SPEAKING WITH THE RECALL REPRESENTATIVE, I WAS TOLD PARTS "MAY" BE AVAILABLE BY THE END OF AUGUST. I FEEL FCA IS DOING ANYTHING THAT THEY CAN TO SAVE MONEY RATHER THAN FIX MY CAR. I WANT MY CAR FIXED. IF "APPROVED" PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE BY THE END OF AUGUST, I WILL BE FILING ANOTHER COMPLAINT WITH BOTH FCA, AND NHTSA.

THE CONTACT PULLED OVER AND DISCOVERED THAT THE POWER STEERING BELT WAS FRACTURED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE POWER STEERING BELT WAS REPLACED. ON ANOTHER OCCASION, WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. AFTER BEING SERVICED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V115000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM), THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START INTERMITTENTLY AND THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.

PLEASE REVIEW EMAIL CHAIN TO CHRYSLER'S CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE CENTER (NOTE: I HAD TO DELETE THEIR PASSIVE RESPONSE TO MY ORIGINAL EMAIL SINCE YOUR SYSTEM LIMITS THE NUMBER OF CHARACTERS. THEY PROVIDED NO REAL SUPPORT OTHER THAN TO GO TO A DEALER, WHICH I HAVE MULTIPLE TIMES SINCE AND THEY HAVE NOT IDENTIFIED ANY ISSUE): DEAR CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE CENTER I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY YOU HAVE NOT TAKEN MY ISSUE SERIOUSLY. TONIGHT A SIMILAR SITUATION HAPPENED. THE KEYLESS FOB WAS IN A PURSE ON THE PASSENGER SEAT OF THE VEHICLE. AS MY WIFE EXITED THE VEHICLE, THE DOORS WERE SOMEHOW LOCKED. SHE WAS UNABLE TO OPEN THE DOORS FROM THE OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE. LUCKILY, AGAIN, THERE WAS SOMEONE OF AGE THAT COULD OPEN THE DOORS.
