VEHICLE WILL NOT START EVERYTIME AND ONCE IT'S JUMPERED TO ANOTHER CAR IT STARTS NO PROBLEM. SOMETIMES IT WILL START THEN IMMEDIATELY JUST DIE. VEHICLE HAS NEVER STALLED WHILE DRIVING. I BOUGHT IT DEC 2019 W/ 102K, IT NOW HAS 120K I DRIVE 400 MI/WK FOR WORK. I HAD TO BUY AN EXTENDED WARRANTY BECAUSE OF THE MILES AND THE WARRANTY CO. IS SAYING THEY WON'T FIX THIS AIR BAG MODULE AND SEAT BELT ISSUE AS WELL. THIS CAR NEEDS TO BE BOUGHT BACK BY THE DEALERSHIP. THE DEALER HAS ALL PAPERWORK BECAUSE THEY STILL HAVE MY CAR.
MY COMPLAINT IS REGARDING NHTSA RECALL V62/NHTSA 19V-813 FOR MY 2013 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. THE ISSUE IS THAT THE RECALL HAS BEEN IN EFFECT FOR OVER A YEAR AND THERE IS STILL NO FIX. MY VEHICLE HAS CUT OFF WHILE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE AND NOW DOES NOT START AT ALL. I HAVE A CAR THAT I CANNOT DRIVE, FIX, OR SELL DUE TO NO FAULT OF MY OWN. MY ONLY DESIRE IS A REPLACEMENT VEHICLE OR AT LEAST A REFUND OF THE CURRENT VALUE. WE CONTACTED THE JEEP CUSTOMER SERVICE HOTLINE AND THEIR RESPONSE IS THAT THE COST WOULD BE TOO GREAT TO THE COMPANY. THESE VEHICLES ARE DANGEROUS AND THE FACT THAT THERE'S STILL NO FIX SHOULD BE VERY TROUBLING. NO ONE SHOULD BE DRIVING A VEHICLE THAT IS KNOWN TO CUT OFF AT ANYTIME. PLEASE MODIFY THIS RECALL TO ORDER A REPLACEMENT OR REFUND FROM JEEP. IT'S GENUINELY THE ONLY SAFE THING TO DO. THANK YOU.
THE CAR HAS SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING DUE TO THE FUEL PUMP RELAY ISSUE. WE HAVE TAKEN IT IN TO THE DEALERSHIP TO REPAIR; HOWEVER, THEY STATE IT COULD TAKE A YEAR OR MORE DUE TO LIMITED SUPPLY OF THE PARTS REQUIRED. THE CAR IS INOPERABLE, BUT CHRYSLER IS REFUSING TO PROVIDE A RENTAL CAR OR OFFER A REASONABLE PURCHASE PRICE. PLEASE HELP OR LET ME KNOW WHO CAN!
I cannot get this fixed. I have been 30th on the list since January and the dealer tells me they only get 1 part every so often. I have this vehicle parked as I refuse to drive since there is a recall. I need help getting the fuel pump component to the Pueblo, CO jeep dealer so I can get my care fixed.
DROVE MY CAR ALL DAY COMPLETELY FINE ALL DAY NO ISSUES. WENT TO START IT TO GO GET FOOD AND IT WOULDN'T START. TRIED ABOUT FOUR TIMES THEN FINALLY HAD TO DISCONNECT AND RECONNECT THE BATTERY TO GET IT TO START AND I'VE HAD TO DO THIS ABOUT 15 TIMES IN THE YEAR AND A HALF I'VE HAD THIS CAR.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, AN ABNORMAL TICKING SOUND WAS HEARD COMING FROM ENGINE WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A DEFECTIVE ROCKER ARM. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL ON THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT WAS ALSO INFORMED TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER TO BE SERVICED. THE CONTACT SPOKE WITH FIRKINS CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM (2700 1ST ST, BRADENTON, FL 34208) AND WAS PROVIDED A COST TO DIAGNOSE AND DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT DECLINED THE SERVICE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT RECENTLY APPEARED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AFTER THE VEHICLE MISFIRED WHILE DRIVING AT A LOW RATE OF SPEED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 125,000.
I HAD CRUISE AT 80MPH ON INTERSTATE HIGHWAY AND DISENGAGED ON EXIT RAMP BY USING THE BRAKE. THE CAR SLOWED BUT I USED BRAKE AGAINN TO YIELD ONTO 4 LANE ROAD AND AGAIN TO CROSS OVER 2 LANES INTO A GAS STATION. I PULLED UP TO PUMP SLOWLY. WHEN I PUT THE BRAKE ON AGAIN TO COMPLETTE THE STOP,THE CRUISE REENGAGED AND THE CAR TOOK OFF. LUCKILY THERE WAS OPEN PARKING SPOT,I AIMED THERE AND CAR JUST KEPT GOING. OVER A CURB, THROUGH ABOUT 75 YARDS OF GRASS AND INTO A FIELD,ABOUT 25 FEET IN. NO BRAKING EVEN THO I TRIED. IN THE BRUSH WAS A CONCRETE BLOCK I HIT THAT CAUSED BOTH PASSENGER TIRES TO BLOW AND THEN THE CAR SLOWED AND WENT TO THE LEFT SOME 5 FEET AND STOPPED. NO AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. I ONLY PLOWED DOWN SMALL BRUSH AND MISSED A TREE IN MY PATH WHEN CAR VEERED LEFT AFTER TIRES BLEW. IT WAS A DRY SUNNY MORNING WITH NO ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS. I HAD ONLY BEEN DRIVING FOR AN HOUR AND HAD STOPPED TO GET GAS AND USE RESTROOM. THEPA STATE TROOPERS CAME BUT SINCE NO DAMAGE TO OTHER PROPERTY AND NO INJURIES, THEY DID NOT FILE A REPORT. USAA INSURANCE NOTIFIED AT ONCE AND TOOK THE CAR. THEY CLAIM IT AS A TOTAL LOSS. I AM BLESSED TO BE OK BUT THIS CRUISE/BRAKE MALFUNCTION COULD HAVE BEEN DEADLY ANYWHERE ELSE. I HOPE YOU WILL INVESTIGATE I WOULD NOT WANT ANYONE ELSE TO EXPERIENCE THIS
THE AIRBAG IN OUR HEADREST HAS BECOME DETACHED AND IS JUST HANGING NO ACCIDENTS.
I HAD TO REPLACE THE ALTERNATOR AND WASN'T AWARE OF RECALL T36 AND NOW MY FUEL PUMP WENT OUT (RECALL V62). MY TRUCK WAS STALLING AT FIRST, NOW IT WON'T RUN AT ALL. WHEN I CALLED THE DEALER AND THEY SAID THERE WERE NO REPLACEMENT PARTS IN STOCK. THE COST TO REPAIR OUT OF POCKET IS $1450.00. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION, IS AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST. THANK YOU!
ON SEPTEMBER 1, 2020 SHORTLY AFTER STARTING THE VEHICLE AND WHILE IN MOTION, THE ENGINE STOPPED CAUSING LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. I WAS ABLE TO BRING THE VEHICLE TO STOP IN ROADWAY WITH HARD PRESSURE ON BRAKES. FORTUNATELY, NO CONTACT WAS MADE WITH PERSON OR PROPERTY. I ATTEMPTED TO RE-START THE VEHICLE BUT IT WOULD ONLY CRANK AND NOT START. SEVERAL MINUTES LATER WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE HAS HAD TROUBLE STARTING ON MANY OCCASIONS PRIOR BUT THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME IT STOPPED WHILE DRIVING. THE ONLY INDICATION THE VEHICLE HAD LOST POWER WAS WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO SLOW THE VEHICLE AND TURN THE WHEEL. PRIOR TO THIS THE DEALERSHIP HAS EXAMINED THE ISSUE ON AT LEAST FOUR SEPARATE OCCASIONS SPANNING YEARS. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THE FUEL PUMP RELAY HAS BEEN REPLACED TWICE ON THIS VEHICLE. AFTER BOTH OF THESE ALLEGED REPAIRS THE VEHICLE HAS EXHIBITED THE SAME SYMPTOMS AND RETURNED TO THE DEALERSHIP. IN THE LAST VISIT WITH THE DEALERSHIP ON JUNE 23, 2020 AND PHONE CALL WITH FCA US LLC'S CUSTOMER SERVICE ON SEPTEMBER 1, 2020 I WAS DIRECTLY INFORMED THAT NO SOLUTION EXISTS. THERE IS NO ADVANCED NOTICE TO THE DRIVER AS THIS DOES NOT OCCUR EACH TIME THE VEHICLE IS DRIVEN. WHEN THE VEHICLE DOES LOSE POWER WHILE DRIVING, NO NOTICEABLE INDICATION OF THIS DANGER CAN BE QUICKLY OBSERVED BY THE DRIVER. IT WAS ONLY NOTICED WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO MANEUVER THE BRAKES OR STEERING WHEEL. THIS IS A KNOWN AND HAZARDOUS CONDITION CREATED BY FCA US LLC. WHICH THEY HAVE NOT ADEQUATELY ADDRESSED.
A RECALL WAS ISSUED NOVEMBER 14, 2019 TO REPLACE A FUEL PUMP RELAY THAT CAN RESULT IN A NO-START CONDITION OR AN ENGINE STALL IF THE VEHICLE IS RUNNING. A VEHICLE ENGINE STALL WHILE DRIVING CAN CAUSE A VEHICLE CRASH WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING. THIS RECALL WAS ISSUED ALMOST A YEAR AGO AND HAS NOT YET BEEN RESOLVED. I AM CONCERNED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF DRIVING THIS VEHICLE. I CONTACTED THE FCA AND THEY SUGGESTED THAT I TAKE THE VEHICLE INTO MY JEEP DEALER TO HAVE IT ANALYZED TO SEE IF THERE IF ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE RELAY THAT IS CURRENTLY INSTALLED. I TOOK MY VEHICLE INTO THE JEEP DEALER AND THEY TOLD ME THAT PUTTING IT ON THE ANALYZER WOULD DO NOT GOOD. I WANT TO KNOW WHEN THIS RECALL WILL BE RESOLVED.

JEEP ISSUED A RECALL ON NOVEMBER 19, 2019. NINE MONTHS LATER AND JEEP IS TELLING ME THERE ARE STILL NO PARTS AVAILABLE. AND NO ESTIMATED DATE ON WHEN PARTS / FIX WILL BE AVAILABLE. BY LAW, DOES JEEP HAVE THE RESPONSIBILITY TO FIX WITHIN A YEAR?
WHILE DRIVING ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY IN NEWINGTON,VA, MY 2013 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LAREDO SUDDENLY LOST POWER. I LOST ACCELERATION, POWER STEERING AND POWER BRAKES. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME IN A MONTH THAT THIS VEHICLE LOST POWER AND REACTED IN THIS MANNER. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER AND TWO DAYS LATER WAS REPAIRED. THIS VEHICLE IS UNDER A V62 SAFETY RECALL FOR A DEFECTIVE FUEL PUMP RELAY. THE REPAIR WAS A TEMPORARY FIX UNTIL JEEP COMES OUT WITH A PERMANENT FIX. IN 2015 THIS VEHICLE WAS RECALLED UNDER R09 FOR THE SAME FUEL PUMP RELAY PROBLEM. DODGE DURANGO VEHICLES HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. FIAT/CHRYSLER/JEEP CORP. HAS KNOWN ABOUT THIS DEFECTIVE FUEL PUMP RELAY SINCE 2011 AND HAVE YET TO COME UP WITH A PERMANENT FIX. THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF THESE VEHICLES ON THE ROAD AND THEY ARE ALL DEATH TRAPS. PLEASE PUT SOME PRESSURE ON JEEP CORP. TO FIX THIS DEADLY DEFECT IN THEIR VEHICLES. PEOPLES LIVES ARE AT STAKE!! THE WORST PART IS THAT CAR DEALERSHIPS CAN RESELL THESE USED VEHICLES KNOWING THERE IS AN OPEN SAFETY RECALL THAT HAS NOT BEEN PERMANENTLY FIXED. AFTER TWO HOURS, THE CONTACT WAS FINALLY ABLE TO START THE VEHICLE AND DROVE TO HER DESTINATION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE PERSISTED AFTER THE INITIAL FAILURE. THE CONTACT CALLED TWO DEALERS GRIFFIN CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (961 E, US-74 BUS, HAMLET, NC 28345) AND CAPITAL CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM OF INDIAN TRAIL (5501 W HWY 74, MONROE, NC 28110) AND THEY BOTH CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT YET AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REMEDY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 131,036. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2013 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT STATE THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 60 MPH WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL ENGAGED, IT FAILED TO DISENGAGE WHILE APPROACHING A RAMP. THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL WHICH FAILED TO ALSO DISCONNECT THE CRUISE CONTROL. THE CONTACT MANAGED TO VEER TO THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD WHILE DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL, SLAMS THE GEAR INTO PARK AS SMOKE WAS SEEN COMING FROM THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO TURN THE VEHICLE OFF AS THE ENGINE KEPT REVVING. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CONTACTED AND PLACED THE VEHICLE IN NEUTRAL TO SHUT THE ENGINE OFF. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS NO FLAMES BUT HEAVY SMOKE AND A BURNING ODOR WAS PRESENT. NO INJURIES WERE SUSTAINED BY THE CONTACT. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO LITHIA CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM FIAT OF SOUTH ANCHORAGE (9600 OLD SEWARD HWY, ANCHORAGE, AK 99515) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED AND DETERMINED THAT THE CRUISE CONTROL FAILED BUT BECAUSE OF ENGINE DAMAGE, THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT PREVIOUSLY THE FUEL RELAY HAD FAILED HOWEVER, THAT WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE DEALER INFORMED HIM OF A RECALL FOR THE CRUISE CONTROL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 78,000.*DT*JB

DRIVER SEAT ACTIVE HEADREST HAS ACTIVATED AND BROKEN THE CLIPS THAT HOLD THE HEADREST IN THE RESET AND/OR READY POSITION. THE CAR WAS MOVING AT A NORMAL RATE OF SPEED AND NO COLLISION OR CONTACT WITH ANYTHING HAS OCCURRED. SIMPLY APPEARS TO BE A MALFUNCTION OF THE SEAT ACTIVE HEADREST CAUSED BY POOR ENGINEERING OR BEING CONSTRUCTED OF FAULTY MATERIALS WHICH HAVE CAUSED A FAILURE IN THE INTENDED USE OF THE ACTIVE SEAT HEADREST.
2013 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LAREDO PASSENGER HEADREST DEPLOYED WHILE CRUSING AT 65MPH ON SMOOTH, STRAIGHT DRY HIGHWAY. PASSENGER SEAT WAS VACANT AT THE TIME. UPON INSPECTION, IT WAS FOUND THAT THE PLASTIC HOUSING RETAINING THE METAL CLIP/RELEASE BAR HAD BROKEN.

IN NOVEMBER 2019, CHRYLSER RECALLED APPROXIMATELY 528,594 DODGE DURANGO AND JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE SUVS FROM MODEL YEARS 2011 TO 2013 BECAUSE FUEL-PUMP RELAYS MAY INTERRUPT ELECTRICAL CURRENT AND PREVENT ENGINE START-UP AND/OR CONTRIBUTE TO A STALL WHILE DRIVING. THE DEALER AND CHRYSLER IS STILL CLAIMING THE PART IS 'OUT OF STOCK' NEARLY 9 MONTHS LATER. WE CANNOT SAFELY DRIVE THE CAR, OR SELL IT BECAUSE OF THIS OPEN RECALL. THE CAR FREQUENTLY WILL NOT START, AND WE ARE VERY CONCERNED OF A STALL DURING DRIVING IF THE VEHICLE DOES START. WE BELIEVE CHRYSLER HAS NOT TAKEN APPROPRIATE ACTION TO MANUFACTURE OR DISTRIBUTE THE REPLACEMENT FUEL-PUMP RELAY, AND THEY CONTINUE TO REFUSE TO PROVIDE AN ESTIMATED DATE FOR THE PART TO BE IN STOCK. I KEEP EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUE -- VEHICLE WON'T START AFTER LONG EXTENDED CRANK AND THEN SHUTS OFF. APPROXIMATELY TWO YEARS AGO THE ENTIRE FUEL PUMP WAS REPLACED, YET THE SAME ISSUE HAS REOCCURRED. THIS TIME IT WAS DIAGNOSED AS A WIRING ISSUE TO THE FUEL PUMP RELAY. FIAT CHRYSLER AUTOMOBILES (FCA) REFUSED TO REIMBURSE JANUARY 2018 AND AGAIN JULY 2020. THERE IS CURRENTLY AN OPEN RECALL (V62 / NHTSA 19V-813 AND R09 / NHTSA 14V-115) WITH NO REMEDY RELATED TO THE FUEL PUMP THAT RENDERS THE VEHICLE UNSAFE TO DRIVE. I HAVE REQUESTED THEY REPLACE OR REFUND THE VEHICLE.
MY TRANSFER CASE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED, IT JERKS WHEN I BREAK AND HIT MY GAS, I CAN BARLEY TURN MY VEHICLE WITHOUT THE WHOLE CAR SHAKING. THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME IT WOULD COST $4K TO FIX, THE PART IS BACK ORDERED, THERE'S 4 CARS BEFORE ME GETTING THE SAME PROBLEM FIXED. THERE'S OVER 150K PEOPLE WHO HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT THE SAME THING. THEY TOLD ME IF I DRIVE MY CAR IT WOULD CAUSE IT TO SHUT DOWN AND THEN IT WOULDN'T BE FIXABLE. BUT JEEP REFUSES TO FIX THE PROBLEM WHEN THEY KNOW THIS IS THEIR FAULT. ON TOP OF THAT, MY FUEL RELAY IS RECALLED WITH NO SOLUTION AND MY JEEP COULD TURN OFF ON ME AT ANY MOMENT. THEY TOLD THE TRANSFER CASE IS NOT RECALLED BECAUSE NOT ENOUGH PEOPLE HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT IT. THEY ARE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND REFUSE TO FIX IT.

THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V813000 ( ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) HOWEVER, THE PART TO DO THE RECALL REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. I CONTACTED MOPAR REGARDING THE PROCEDURE TO REPAIR THE FUEL PUMP RELAY RECALL. I WAS ADVISED NO PARTS WERE AVAILABLE YET, AND THE DEALERSHIP SHOULD USE A REPLACEMENT PART TO TEMPORARILY REPAIR THE RECALL. RECALL V62 WAS REPAIRED, ALONG WITH 2 OTHER RECALLS, STATED BY THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT IN MARCH 2020. JUNE 8, 2020 MY VEHICLE STALLED WHILE DRIVING, I IMMEDIATELY INFORMED THE DEALERSHIP, AND I WAS TOLD THE REPAIR NEVER WAS COMPLETED. AFTER SPEAKING WITH MOPAR AND REPRESENTATIVES AT THE DEALERSHIP, THE DEALERSHIP FAILED TO SUBMIT THE CORRECT DOCUMENTATION TO MOPAR, ALSO GAVE ME MISINFORMATION, AND THE TEMPORARY FIX FAILED. AFTER I SUBMITTED MY RECEIPTS THEY DENIED MY CLAIM FOR $1309.00 THAT WAS RELATED TO THE FUEL PUMP RELAY REPAIR. THE MECHANIC ALSO PERFORMED OTHER REPAIRS THAT HE CLAIMS WERE AS A RESULT OF THE RECALL DAMAGING THE VEHICLE. I ASKED FOR ANOTHER RECEIPT STATING SPECIFICALLY THAT I PAID IN CASH AND RESUBMITTED IT TO THE DENIED CLAIM EMAIL. I AM UNEMPLOYED DUE TO COVID-19 AND I SPENT MY SAVINGS TO FIX MY VEHICLE. THIS HAS CAUSED MUCH STRESS, ANXIETY, AND INCONVENIENCE FOR ME, MY WIFE AND YOUNG DAUGHTER.
