THE DRIVERSIDE ACTIVE HEADREST DEPLOYED, HITTING THE BACK OF MY HEAD WHILE DRIVING. I WAS MAINTAINING A CONSISTENT SPEED ON A SMOOTH HIGHWAY WHEN IT HAPPEN. LOOKING AT THE HEADREST YOU CAN SEE SOME BROKEN PLASTIC PART THAT MAY HAVE LEAD TO IT'S UNEXPECTED DEPLOYMENT.
THE AIRBAG IN THE PASSENGER SIDE HEADREST DEPLOYED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY. *TR
DRIVERS SIDE HEADREST DEPLOYED ON IT'S OWN. NO ACCIDENTS OR ANYTHING TO CAUSE IT. NOT SURE WHEN IT DEPLOYED I WAS NOT IN THE CAR WHEN IT HAPPENED.
STEERING RACK FAILURE DUE TO LEAKING FLUID. STATIONARY. TIRE DEALER SAID IT IS SQUIRING FLUID. DEALER WILL NOT COVER COST. THIS SHOULDN'T HAPPEN TO A 2014 WITH ONLY 90K
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND GOING OVER 50 MPH THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND THE SPEED/POWER IS CUT OFF AND DROPS. IF IM GOING 70MPH THE AND IT HAPPENS, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT POPS ON, DINGS, AND THE INSTANTLY DROPS SPEED TO ABOUT 55MPH AND DOES NOT LET ME ACCELERATE. I HAVE TO PULL OVER AND TURN THE JEEP OFF THEN BACK ON AND IT ALLOWS ME TO GO. THIS HAPPENS RANDOMLY AND AT DIFFERENT SPEEDS. ALSO THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HAS JUST GONE AWAY ON ITS OWN BEFORE WITHIN HOURS OF IT HAPPENING. SOME SENSORS WERE REPLACED BUT THE ISSUE KEEPS HAPPENING. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE WITH THE TRANSMISSION IN THE DRIVE POSITION, THE SHIFT INDICATOR MALFUNCTIONED WITH SEVERAL POSITIONS ON THE SHIFT INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. AFTER STOPPING AND RESTARTING THE VEHICLE, THE FAILURE WAS CORRECTED. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE LOCAL DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
THE UPPER SEAT BELT PLASTIC GUIDE CRACKS DURING ROUTINE USE, PREVENTING PROPER RETRACTION OF SEAT BELT. THE SEATBELT REMAINS SLACK ON AN OCCUPANT RESULTING IN IMPROPER FIT.
PASSENGER SIDE SEATBELT STOPPED RETRACTING AND ALSO WILL NO LONGER RELAX AT THE LAP. TOOK INTO JEEP DEALERSHIP IN BAKERSFIELD, CA. I WAS TOLD THE COST WOULD BE $500, I TOLD THE SERVICE DEPT TO ORDER AND I WAS SNAPPED AT... I WAS TOLD THEY COULD ORDER SAID PART BUT SHE, THE TECH DIDN'T KNOW WHEN IT WOULD ARRIVE, DUE TO COVID-19. SHE APPEARED TO NOT WANT TO ORDER, SO I SAID I WOULD GET IT FIXED ELSEWHERE. I HAVE MOVED TO UTAH AND HAVE NOT YET TAKEN IT IN. NOW THAT MY DRIVER'S SIDE IS JUST STARTING TO ACT LIKE THE OTHER SIDE, I WILL BE TAKING IT SOMEWHERE QUICKLY.
DRIVER SIDE ACTIVE HEAD REST DEPLOYED FOR NO REASON WHILE STATIONARY/PARKED IN DRIVEWAY. IT WAS DEPLOYED WHEN I WENT OUT TO CAR IN THE MORNING.
ONE DAY I WAS REVERSING FROM MY DRIVE WAY TO TAKE MY BOYS TO SCHOOL, I HEARD A LOUD POPPING SOUND. I TURNED TO MY SON WHO WAS SITTING IN THE PASSENGER SIDE AND I NOTICED HE WAS RUBBING THE BACK OF HIS HEAD FROM PAIN. I SAW THE HEADREST HAD POPPED OPEN. *TR
I KEEP GETTING AN ERROR STATING SERVICE SHIFTER. I TOOK IT TO A DEALERSHIP TO RUN DIAGNOSTIC ON IT TODAY AND THEY STATE THE WHOLE SHIFTER AND KNOB NEED TO BE REPLACED AND I WAS TOLD THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM FOR JEEP GRAND CHEROKEES BUT NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE BOUT IT AND THEY CHARGE $1,100 TO FIX THIS PROBLEM. I CANT AFFORD THIS NOW SO I PAID FOR DIAGNOSTIC BILL. EVERYTIME I START THE JEEP OR PUT IT IN PARK I GET THIS SERVICE SHIFTER ERROR MESSAGE AND SOMETIMES WHILE DRIVING AND THE LIGHTS ON THE SHIFTER DO NOT WORK SO I CANT TELL WHAT POSITION I AM CURRENTLY IN.
THE JEEP RANDOMLY WON'T START AND BRAKE PEDAL IS FIRM THIS STRANDED ME 6 TIMES AND DEALER CAN'T FIGURE OUT BECAUSE NOTHING DISPLAYS AND THEN IT WORKS I HAVE HEARD SENSORS AND BRAKE BOOSTERS BUT NEITHER ARE ON RECALLS
PLASTIC BRACKET THAT HOLDS THE METAL PIN WHICH ENGAGES RELEASE HOOKS BROKE. NO ACCIDENT OR IMPACT TO TRIGGER THE MECHANISM WAS INVOLVED JUST PLASTIC PART BROKE. IT WOULD REALLY HURT IF IT RELEASES AND HITS YOUR HEAD. CAR WAS NOT BEING USED. PARKED
WHILE DRIVING (MOTION) ON HIGHWAY 378 - LEXINGTON, SC - 2/14/20, THE PASSENGER SEAT POPPED OUT UNEXPECTEDLY, LUCKILY NO ONE WAS SITTING IN THE PASSENGER SEAT AT THE TIME. I'M WORRIED THIS WILL HAPPEN WITH MY DRIVER'S HEAD SEAT AT THIS TIME. I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP TO GET IT FIXED AND THEY SAID WOULD COST ME $700, SINCE MY WARRANTY WAS EXPIRED. I CALLED CHRYSLER/JEEP CUSTOMER SERVICE AND FILED A CLAIM FOR THEM TO WAIVE THE $700 FEE. THEY TOLD ME THAT SINCE I WAS THE (2ND) OWNER NOT THE ORIGINAL OWNER AND THAT MY WARRANTY WAS EXPIRED THEY DENIED MY CLAIM. I TOLD THEM WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR THERE HAVE BEEN NO WRECKS RECORDED ON THE VEHICLE AT ALL, THIS WAS CRAZY TO ME, THAT THEY WOULDN'T FIX MY PASSENGER HEAD SEAT. I FILED THE CLAIM ON 2/28/20 @ 1-800-992-1997. I WAS AT THE CHRYSLER/JEEP DEALERSHIP LOCATED IN COLUMBIA, SC.
CYLINDER HEAD MISFIRE #2 AND SERVICE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE LIGHT. I HAD TAKEN IT IN TO OUR LOCAL MECHANIC HE SAID THE HEAD NEEDS TO BE REPLACED THERE IS A CURRENT RECALL AND EXTENDED WARRANTY OUT NOW WITH THE SAME PROBLEMS BUT OUR JEEP IS NOT ON THE VIN LIST (PENTASTAR TIC) IS WHAT OUR MECHANIC CALLED IT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AS THE ENGINE HAD OVERHEATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS A RESULT OF THE OIL COOLER BEING MADE OF PLASTIC. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SEALS FRACTURED AND CAUSED AN OIL AND COOLANT LEAK. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 57,306. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
FCA UCONNECT SENDING FORCED UPDATES TO CERTAIN VEHICLES WITH UCONNECT SYSTEMS ONBOARD (SATELLITE SIGNAL SENT DIRECTLY TO VEHICLE). A KNOWN ISSUE BY FCA, IS THAT THE FORCED UPDATE FAILS DURING THE UPDATE RENDERING CERTAIN FEATURES USELESS. IN MY ENCOUNTER THE SYSTEM UPDATE FAILED AND MOST ELECTRONIC SYSTEMS WERE NOT FUNCTIONAL SUCH AS DEFROSTER, CONTROL OF THE POWER SEATS, THE VEHICLES LIGHTING SYSTEMS AMONG OTHER SYSTEMS. THIS IS DANGEROUS AND FCA IS AWARE OF THIS FAILURE YET THEY HAVE FAILED TO NOTIFY CONSUMERS OF SUCH FAILURE AND HOW IT COULD ADVERSELY EFFECT THEIR CONTROL AND ACCESS TO FUNCTION OF THE MOTOR VEHICLE WHILE IN OPERATION.
THE SEAT HEAD REST OF MY 2014 JEEP BURST OPEN BY ITSELF, THIS COULD HAVE CAUSED GREAT HARM TO MY HEAD.
PASSENGER SIDE HEAD REST DEPLOYED.
OIL LEAK AT OIL FILTER HOUSING. NOTICED PUDDLE OF OIL ON GARAGE FLOOR. HAD VEHICLE CHECKED AND THEY DETERMINED THE OIL FILTER HOUSING IS CRACKED AND LEAKING ENGINE OIL. THIS COULD CAUSE AN ENGINE FIRE. I HAVE CONTACTED JEEP. THEY REFUSED ANY ASSISTANCE AND HAVE STOPPED RESPONDING TO MY EMAIL REQUESTS.
A/C WORKS INTERMITTENTLY. JIM CLICK CHRYSLER/JEEP CHARGED ME $116 DIAGNOSTIC FEE ABD SAID UPDATES NEEDED TO BE MADE. I GOT MY VEHICLE BACK AND IMMEDIATELY MY A/C WAS NOT WORKING AGAIN. I RETURNED MY CAR TO THEM AND THIS TIME THEY CLAIMED THE SAME PROBLEM WAS AN ACTUATOR FOR $318.99. ONCE AGAIN; I GOT MY CAR BACK AND A/C IS STILL WORKING INTERMITTENTLY. THEY OBVIOUSLY DON'T KNOW HOW TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. FROM AN INTERNET SEARCH, I'VE FOUND OTHERS WHO HAVE THE SAME ISSUE WITH JEEP A GRAND CHEROKEE. I BELIEVE THIS IS A DEFECT WITH JEEP VEHICLES.
LOCKING (FEMALE) PART OF REAR SEATBELT MECHANISM BROKE. THIS MAKES IT HARD TO RELEASE THE LOCKED SEATBELT FOR A PASSENGER IN THE BACK SEAT. THIS IS DANGEROUS IF THE PERSON NEEDED TO ESCAPE THE VEHICLE IN AN EMERGENCY. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT'S WIFE OWNS A 2014 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. THE VEHICLE FAILED TO STOP WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE VEHICLE BRAKE PEDAL TRAVELED ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE FLOOR NO CONSEQUENCE. THE VEHICLE EVENTUALLY STOPPED THE CONTACT'S WIFE WAS TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH, WHEN ATTEMPTED TO STOP, THE BRAKE PEDAL TRAVELED ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE FLOOR. NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR A DIAGNOSTIC. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 61,000.
PASSENGER SIDE SEAT BELT RETRACTOR FAILED MAKING THE SEAT BELT NOT USEABLE AND CREATING A SAFETY ISSUE. CANNOT USE THE PASSENGER SEAT BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE.
WAS DRIVING ABOUT 3 MPH AND HEAD REST ON DRIVERS SIDE EXPLODED, THE HEAD REST POPPED OUT AND SOUNDED LIKE A GUN GOING OFF IN MY VEHICLE. IT EXPLODED FORWARD AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED AND WAS TERRIFYING
WARNING LIGHT COMES ON "SERVICE AIR SUSPENSION IMMEDIATELY" VEHICLE IS AT THE DEALER, THEY HAVE REPLACED A SENSOR AND MODULE, NOW THEY ARE SAYING IT'S THE COMPRESSOR. TOTAL TO REPAIR WILL BE ABOUT $4600. VEHICLE IS NOT HANDLING AND DRIVING AS WELL AS IT HAD BEEN SINCE THE LIGHT COMES ON.
SERVICE SHIFTER WARNING APPEARS ON DASHBOARD AT STARTUP AND WHILE DRIVING
OUR JEEP IS HAVING A ISSUE WITH THE AIRBAG IN THE GLOVEBOX. IT KEEPS ACTING LIKE IT IS TRYING TO BLOW UP EVERY TIME WE GET IN AND SOMETIMES WHEN WE ARE DRIVING AWHILE. I THOUGHT YOU HAD A RECALL ON THE AIRBAGS AND NOW I DON'T SEE IT ON THIS VEHICLE.

I WAS SITTING IN MY FRONT PASSENGER SEAT, CAR OFF, IN PARK, AND THE HEADREST DEPLOYED. THERE WAS NO COLLISION OR MOVEMENT OR ANY KIND.
PARK AT MY GARAGE I HEARD A NOISE . I OPEN THE DOOR TO IND OUT PASSANGERSAID HEAD REST POP OPEN
THE RIGHT FRONT SEAT BELT WILL NOT RETRACT PROPERLY. THE THICK PLASTIC GUIDE IN DOOR PILLAR IS CRACKED AND PINCHES AGAINST SEAT BELT. IT IS A SAFER ISSUE BECAUSE THERE IT CAUSE TOO MUCH SLACK AGAINST USER'S CHEST. *TR
I HAVE TOOK MY VEHICLE FOR A SHIFTER RECALL. THEY DID A PROGRAMMING THEY SAID AND THAT IT SHOULD HAVE FIXED THE PROBLEM. I EXPLAINED TO CHRYSLER CAPITAL ABOUT HOW MY VEHICLE WOULD SHIFT INTO NEUTRAL AFTER THROWING ITSELF INTO OTHER GEARS. I WOULD HAVE TO TURN OFF THE VEHICLE AND BEGIN DRIVING AGAIN. NOW MY VEHICLE HARDLY DRIVES AND THE TRANSMISSION MAKES A LOUD CRACKING NOISE. THIS RECALL MADE MY TRANSMISSION GO OUT.
NOTICED VEHICLE AT 79 000 MI TO BE LOW OF OIL PRIOR TO SCHEDULED OIL CHANGE. INSPECTED VEHICLE FOR LEAKS BUT COULD NOT FIND ANY NOTICABLE ISSUES. CHANGED OIL AND FILTER AS SCHEDULED DURING THIS TIME. AT 89,000 MI , THE SAME ISSUE OCCURRED AND UPON FURTHER INSPECTION, A NOTICABLE POOL OF OIL WAS FOUND TO BE POOLING ON TOP SIDE OF ENGINE BLOCK NEAR OIL FILTER/ OIL COOLER. THE ENGINE BLOCK IS V SHAPED AND RECESSED WHICH ALLOWS OIL TO POOL WITHOUT DRIPPING TO GROUND. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DEALERSHIP AND WAS DIAGNOSED AS A LEAKING OIL COOLER, WITH A QUOTE OF OVER $1000 TO FIX. DEALER ACKNOWLEDGED THE ISSUE IS A KNOWN PROBLEM, BUT AFTER A CALL WITH FCA AMERICA, THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO REPAIR UNDER WARRANTY AS VEHICLE IS OVER THE 5 YEAR LIMIT, ALTHOUGH IT IS UNDER THE 100K . ( 89000 CURRENTLY) ISSUE IS A MAJOR MECHANICAL DEFECT, AND ALSO PRESENTS SAFETY ISSUES WITH POOLS OF OIL STANDING ON TOP OF BLOCK DURING NORMAL OPERATION WHICH COULD LEAD TO FIRE UNDER EXTREME TEMPERATURES.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MCGRATH CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM,4610 CENTER POINT RD NE, CEDAR RAPIDS, IA 52402, BUT NOT DIAGNOSED. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE HEADREST OPERATED AS NEEDED AND A DEFECT WAS NOT FOUND. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 113,000.
I WAS CHANGING OUT MY BRAKE PADS, A FAIRLY COMMON PROCEDURE, WHEN I NOTICED THERE WAS OIL DRIPPING FROM MY CHASSIS SHIELD I HAVE. TURNS OUT I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE ENGINE OIL FILTER/OIL COOLER ASSEMBLY. APPARENTLY, YOU HAVE RECEIVED COMPLAINTS IN THE PAST FOR THIS ISSUE. FROM WHAT I HAVE READ ONLINE, THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM THAT IS AFFECTING THE MAJORITY OF CHRYSLER'S MAKE AND MODELS OF VEHICLES THAT USE THIS ASSEMBLY. THIS IS NOT CONFINED TO JEEP VEHICLES ONLY. THE ASSEMBLY ITSELF IS MADE OUT OF PLASTIC AND IS SEATED RIGHT ON TOP OF THE ENGINE BLOCK. THE SEAL IS KEPT BY 3 OR 4 O-RINGS THAT WARP WHEN EXPOSED TO THE HEAT OF THE ENGINE AND THEN LEAK OIL INTO THE EXTERIOR VALLEY THAT IS CREATED BY THE PISTON CAVITIES. THIS IS A BIG RISK OF ENGINE OIL FLAME UP AND TOTAL DESTRUCTION OF THE ENGINE. FROM WHAT I HAVE READ, THE VALLEY IN THE ENGINE CAN HOLD ONTO ABOUT 2 QUARTS OF OIL BEFORE IT STARTS TO LEAK AND IS NOTICEABLE. THIS IS A DANGER FOR DRIVERS THAT DON'T KNOW THEY ARE RUNNING LOW ON OIL AND THEIR ENGINES COULD SEIZE UP AS A RESULT. NOW I KNOW WHY MY CAR HAD JUST SHY OF 5 QUARTS OF OIL IN IT WHEN I CHANGED THE OIL AND MY CAR HOLDS 6 QUARTS TO JUST BE IN THE SAFE ZONE ON MY DIPSTICK. I ASK YOU TO PLEASE LAUNCH AN INVESTIGATION ON THE SUBSTANDARD DESIGN OF THIS PART. THE WEEK I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE, A MESSAGE POPS UP SAYING 'SERVICE SHIFTER' AND WHEN MY VEHICLE IS IN PARK IT DOESN'T SHIFT INTO DRIVE SOMETIMES. I HAD TO TURN MY VEHICLE OFF AND TURN IT BACK ON IN ORDER FOR MY CAR TO GO INTO DRIVE, WHILE SITTING IN LINE AT A CAR WASH. WHEN I HOOK A COMPUTER UP TO MY CAR THERE IS NO CODES THAT POP UP, MY GEAR NUMBERS ON THE SCREEN STAY WHITE, THEY NEVER TURN RED. THE 'SERVICE SHIFTER' IS ON THE WHOLE TIME MY VEHICLE IS RUNNING AND STAYS ON THE DASH WHEN I TURN IT OFF.
WHILE DRIVING STRAIGHT ON THE HIGHWAY, THE DRIVER'S SEAT HEADREST ACTIVE HEADREST DEPLOYED. THERE WAS NO COLLISION, NO OBVIOUS REASON FOR THE HEADREST TO DEPLOY. IT APPEARS THAT A PLASTIC PIECE HAS BROKEN. I CAN MOVE THE HEADREST BACK INTO PLACE, BUT IT DOES NOT LOCK BACK IN PLACE.
COMPLETE ELECTRICAL FAILURE RESULTING IN VEHICLE STALL. IN MOTION ON A CITY STREET HEADING STRAIGHT. NEW BATTERY. SYMPTOMS VERY SIMILAR AS DESCRIBED IN RECALL #274559
I HAD JUST PARKED MY JEEP AND REACHED IN THE BACK SEAT TO GRAB SOMETHING WHEN MY HEADREST POPPED OPEN AND SMACKED ME IN THE SIDE OF MY HEAD. DIDNT FEEL GREAT AND I CANT GET IT CLOSE BACK UP. HEARD OTHER PEOPLE HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM, HOPEFULLY THEY RECALL THIS SOON. LOVE MY JEEP.
MY CAR HAD AN OIL LEAK AND THE MECHANIC HAD TO REPLACE THE OIL COOLER. HE SAID THE PART IS A DANGEROUS DESIGN WITH PLASTIC, METAL AND ALUMINUM PARTS. THE PLASTIC MELTS IN THE SEALS CAUSING THE LEAK. THIS COULD BE A FIRE HAZARD BC OF THE COOLANT AND OIL MIXING TOGETHER AS THEY CROSS OVER BOUNDARIES THEY SHOULD NOT. ALSO IT COULD CAUSE THE ENGINE TO BE COMPLETELY RUINED. THE MECHANIC I USED SAID HE HAS REPLACED A LOT OF THESE ALL IN CHRYSLER'S AND JEEPS SO IT IS CLEARLY A HAZARDOUS DESIGN FLAW. AFTER THE ECO DIESEL RECALL WAS DONE THERE IS A HUGE DELAY WHEN TAKING OFF FROM A STOP. THE VEHICLE WILL MOVE AND PAUSE ALMOST CAUSING ACCIDENTS. FUEL MILEAGE HAS ALSO DECREASED AND THERE SEEMS TO BE EXHAUST SMELL INSIDE VEHICLE SINCE UPDATE WAS DONE.
PASSENGER SIDE HEADREST BURST OPEN. NO ACCIDENT, NO COLLISION. CAR WAS PARKED.
MY 2014 DIESEL GRAND CHEROKEE HAS HAD EMISSIONS FOR THE PAST 3+ YEARS. ON 12/9/19 THEY CHANGED THE PARTICULATE FILTER AND RIGHT AFTER THAT THERE WAS EXHAUST SMELLS COMING THROUGH THE VENTS. THE DEALERSHIP ATTEMPTED TO FIX THIS SMELL IN LATE DECEMBER AND THEN AGAIN IN JANUARY. THEY FOUND A CRACKED VALVE COVER ON 1/10/20 AND FIXED THAT. I WAS THEN DRIVING THE CAR ON 1/12/20 AND IT STARTED ON FIRE AND WAS DESTROYED. CHRYSLER INVESTIGATED THE CRASH AND DETERMINED THAT IT WAS NOT A MANUFACTURING PROBLEM
THE HEADREST ON MY FRONTPASSANGER SEAT DEPLOYED WHILE THE CAR WAS PARKED. MY HUSBAND AND I WERE GETTING OUT TO GO INTO A RESTARAUNT AND IT POPPED FORWARD/OPEN
SEAT BELT NOT RETRACTING ON BOTH THE DRIVER'S SIDE AND PASSENGER'S SIDE.
TL* THE CONTACT WAS CALLING ON BEHALF OF HIS DAUGHTER THAT OWNS A 2014 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LAREDO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, THE MESSAGE CENTER DISPLAYED BATTERY LOW VOLTAGE WARNING. THE CONTACT STATED THAT SMOKE BILLOWED FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT BEFORE THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE CONTACT WHO WAS A CERTIFIED MECHANIC DISCONNECTED THE ALTERNATOR AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE RESIDENCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC OR THE DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSTIC. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 77,000. *BF*JB

OIL FILTER HOUSING ASSEMBLY KEEPS BREAKING AND LEAKING. WONT HOLD OIL ANYMORE. 3 TIMES IT HAS DONE IT
