HEADREST ON DRIVER SEAT POPPED OUT WHILE IN THE GARAGE. 2014 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE OVERLAND 2WD 5.7L
THIS WINTER THE AIR SUSPENSION LIGHT CAME ON STATING TO SERVICE AIR SUSPENSION. THE SUSPENSION DOES NOT WORK IN COLD WEATHER AND FREEZES AT RIDING LEVEL. THE RIDE IS ROUGH DUE TO AIR SUSPENSION NOT WORKING. WHEN IT IS WARM THIS DOESN'T HAPPEN. THIS LIGHT ALSO TURNS ON WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY. I HAVE A CHILD AND DO NOT WANT HER TO GET HURT IN THE PROCESS SO I STOPPED DRIVING IT THIS WINTER.
IN MY 30 YEARS OF OWNING MANY DIFFERENT VEHICLES, I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCE DOOR POPPING. ALL MY HINGES UPPER AND LOWER NEEDS TO BE REPLACED ON MY 2014 GRAND JEEP CHEROKEE LIMITED 4X4. FROM MY RESEARCH, THIS IS SOMETHING THAT MANY JEEP OWNERS HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT AND ARE LEFT IN DISAPPOINTMENT AS I AM CURRENTLY. THERE IS NO RECALL OR TSB ON FILE WHICH IS MIND-BLOWING CONSIDERING THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. IF IT WAS ONE DOOR, I COULD SAY, OK UNDERSTANDABLE 'THINGS HAPPEN. BUT ALL 4 OF MY DOOR HINGES UPPER AND LOWER NEED TO BE REPLACED BE CAUSE ALL MY DOOR POP. JEEP MANUFACTURE HAS DECIDED TO STICK THEIR HEAD IN THE SAND AND IGNORE THE COMPLAINTS OF THIS SAFETY ISSUE
I OWN THIS VEHICLE FOR OVER 5 YEARS, AND MY WIFE JUST DOESN'T WANT TO DRIVE IT WITH THE KIDS BECAUSE OF THE STRONG SMELL OF DIESEL AND DIESEL EXHAUST FLUID INSIDE THE CABIN IT'S JUST MAKE YOU WANT TO TROW UP AND GIVES YOU HEADACHES
VEHICLE HAD AN AEM RECALL PERFORMED AND NOW THE INTERIOR OF VEHICLE AS WELL THE EXTERIOR REAKS OF DIESEL FUMES ALL THERE IS A TERRIBLE HESITATION AND AT TIMES ALMOST A DELAY IN THE THROTTLE WE HAVE MADE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS AND TRIPS TO THE JEEP DEALER THEY SAY THEY CANNOT FIND ISSUES THE REASON BEHIND IT. WE JUST SPENT 5 HOURS AT THE DEALER FOR A CLOGGED DPF FILTER ONLY TO LEAVE AND HAVE MY WIFE VOMIT FROM THE FUMES WE PULLED OVER SEVERAL TIMES TO GET FRESH AIR.. I SPOKE TO LYNN AT FCA CUSTOMER CARE BADGE NUMBER LN187 EXTENSION 3020187 SHE TOLD ME IF I WAS CONCERNED I SHOULD RETURN VEHICLE TO DEALER WHICH I HAVE DONE NUMEROUS TIMES SINCE THE END OF MAY.THE VEHICLE IS NOT SAFE DUE TO FUMES LET ALONE THE THROTTLE WORKING WHEN IT CHOOSES TO
2014 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE HAS A RACK AND PINION LEAK AFTER A FEW YEARS OF OWNING THE VECHICLE NEW .RACK AND PINION NOW HAS TO BE REPLACED.
UNLOCKED JEEP TO DISCOVER THE PASSENGER HEADREST HAD DEPLOYED. LOOKED CLOSER AT THE MECHANISM TO DISCOVER THE PLASTIC STRUCTURE, RETAINING THE "FLOATING"PIN THAT HOLDS THE HEADREST IN PLACE, WAS COMPLETELY CRACKED ALLOWING THE HEADREST TO MOVE TO ITS MOST FORWARD "DEPLOYED"POSITION. THE JEEP WAS STATIONARY ON A CITY STREET PARKED OVERNIGHT, NO COLLISION OCCURRED, AND THERE WERE NO OCCUPANTS AT THE TIME OF MALFUNCTION.
VEHICLE OVERHEATED - MANIFOLD / EGR HAD TO BE REPLACED DUE TO SEVERE SOOT BUILD UP. ENGINE COMPARTMENT WAS SMOKING AND COOLANT EMPTY WHEN VEHICLE OVERHEATED. VEHICLE IS A FIRE RISK.*DT*JB
I WAS DRIVING ON A CITY STREET ON CHRISTMAS EVE AT 35 MPH AND THE DRIVER SIDE HEADREST DEPLOYED AND STRUCK ME IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD. WE WERE NOT INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT, BUT I WAS IN SIGNIFICANT PAIN FOR A COUPLE DAYS.
THE DRIVER HEADREST DEPLOYED WITHOUT BEING IN A COLLISION AND WILL NOT GO BACK TO ITS ORIGINAL POSITION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT IN MOTION WHEN THIS OCCURRED.
FROM DRIVEWAY PUT CAR IN REVERSE COULD NOT TURN STEERING WHEEL. FELT LIKE POWER STEERING UNIT OUT. SECOND TIME FROM PARKING LOT SAME ISSUE. PAST 3 WEEKS HAS HAPPENED DAILY. WHILE DRIVING UNABLE TO MAKE TURNS SAFELY. BIG ISSUE!
I WAS DRIVING ON ROADWAY AT ABOUT 40-45 MPH. I TRIED TO TURN INTO WAWA PARKING LOT. WHEN TURNING INTO PARKING LOT, NOTICED STEERING WAS VERY DIFFICULT. I STOPPED IN PARKING LOT BUT COULDNT TURN INTO PARKING SPACE. TRUCK DRIVES BUT IS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO STEER UNDER SLOW DRIVING(UNDER 40 MILES PER HOUR). ONCE GOING OVER 40 MPH, TRUCK IS A LITTLE EASIER TO STEER BUT NOT ANYWHERE NEAR HOW IT WAS PRIOR TO STEERING FAILURE.
DEFECTIVE TRANSFER CASE GEAR MOTOR AND TRANSFER CASE CONTROL MODULE. THIS CAUSES VEHICLE LURCHING WHILE AT SLOW SPEEDS I.E. IN A PARKING LOT IN DRIVE OR REVERSE DRIVING STRAIGHT BUT WORSE WHEN TURNING. ALSO CAUSED LOSS OF ABS, TRACTION CONTROL AND FORWARD COLLISION WARNING SYSTEMS.
VEHICLE WAS BEING REFUELED, ( FUEL LEVEL WAS APPROX 1/3 FULL AND WAS BEING COMPLETELY FILLED). VEHICLE WOULD NOT START AFTER FUELING AND WAS TOWED TO A NEARBY MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSIS AND REPAIR. PROBLEM WAS DIAGNOSED AS A FUEL PUMP FAILURE. UPON REMOVAL OF FUEL PUMP FROM GAS TANK, AND REPLACEMENT, VEHICLE AGAIN OPERATED NORMALLY. AN EXAMINATION OF THE FAILED FUEL PUMP REVEALED THAT THE FUEL PUMP ELECTRICAL HARNESS CONNECTION HAD OVERHEATED AND MELTED - CERTAINLY A VERY DANGEROUS CONDITION FOR A COMPONENT THAT RESIDES IN THE GAS TANK.
PASSENGER HEADREST DEPLOYED WHILE VEHICLE WAS TRAVELING AT ABOUT 20 MPH ON CITY STREET WITHOUT ANY JARRING OR ANY OTHER APPARENT CAUSE.
I ENTERED MY VEHICLE AFTER IT WAS IT WAS STATIONARY FOR APPROXIMATELY 10 HOURS TO FIND THE PASSENGER SIDE HEADREST ASSEMBLY HAD DEPLOYED ON ITS OWN WITHOUT ANY EXTERNAL COLLISION FOR FORCE TO THE HEADREST ASSEMBLY
WHEN STOPPED AND PARKED AT THE LOCAL GAS STATION THE PLASTIC FUEL FILLER CAP BROKE OFF DURING FUELING CAUSING THE GAS NOZZLE TO FALL OUT. NOW CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON. JEEP HAS SINCE CORRECTED THIS PLASTIC PART ON NEWER MODELS WITH METAL. COST OF PART ALONE IS $650.00
COWL PANEL TRIM IS CRUMBLING AND CAUSES A 'BEE HUMMING' NOISE WHEN VEHICLE REACHES 55 MPH OR MORE. VERY ANNOYING AND DROWNS OUT RADIO/MUSIC. WAS TOLD BY DEALER THAT THEY CAN TAPE IT DOWN BUT THE STRIP CRUMBLES WHEN YOU TOUCH IT. ATTEMPTED TO USE A BONDING SUBSTANCE RECOMMENDED BY PART STORE; STILL CRUMBLES WHEN TOUCHED.

PASSENGER FRONT SEATBELT WILL NOT RETRACT. THEY DEALERSHIP IS TELLING ME IT'S $500 TO FIX BECAUSE I'M AT 76,000 MILES. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND IT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. THIS IS BEYOND DANGEROUS.
PULLED INTO PARKING SPOT AT SAME TIME CAR SHUT DOWN ON ITS OWN- GOT OUT TO GO INTO STORE AND PRESSED THE REMOTE KEY TO LOCK DOORS, ALL LIGHTS FLASHED ON VEHICLE-VEHICLE WOULD NOT LOCK TRIED AGAIN-LIGHTS FLASHED-DID NOT LOCK. WALKED BACK TO CAR TO SEE WHAT WAS HAPPENING-CAR WENT INTO RUN POSITION THOUGH NOT RUNNING AND INTERNAL LIGHTS ON DASH WERE ON AND PUSH KEY WAS IN RUN POSITION-CALLED AAA TO TOW- THE TECH COULD NOT FIND ANY REASON WHY CAR WAS IN RUN POSITION ALTHOUGH NOT RUNNING. WHEN TECH STARTED TO PULL CAR ONTO FLATBED IT STARTED BY ITSELF- NOTE-WITH NO ONE IN THE CAR AND NO REMOTE BUTTONS USED. WAS THEN ABLE TO DRIVE CAR DIRECTLY TO CHRYSLER JEEP THEY HAD IT FOR 4 DAYS COULD NOT FIND ANY REASON OR CODES. RELEASED CAR TO ME. DROVE IT HOME. NEXT DAY-SAME ISSUE. USED THE REMOTE LOCK TO LOCK DOORS-LIGHTS INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL LIGHTS FLASHED-CAR WOULD NOT LOCK-LOOKED AT DASH AND AGAIN IT HAD GONE INTO THE RUN POSITION ON ITS OWN, ALTHOUGH CAR WAS NOT RUNNING. THE PUSH START IN CAR SAID RUN. CALLED CHRYSLER TO START A CASE NO. . CALLED CHRYSLER JEEP TO HAVE TECH COME AND TROUBLESHOOT PROBLEM WHILE ISSUE IS CURRENT ALONG WITH THE STAR TECHS FROM THE MANUFACTURER. WAITING FOR THEM NOW. AFRAID CAR WILL SHUT OFF BY ITSELF WHILE DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY AND OR START RUNNING BY ITSELF WHILE IN THE GARAGE AND/OR PUBLIC PARKING. TECH STATED IT SEEMS TO BE GOING INTO NEUTRAL ON ITS OWN AND GETTING STUCK. WILL INPUT FURTHER INFORMATION AS THEY CONTINUE TO TRY TO TROUBLESHOOT MY JEEP GC 2014.

PASSENGER SEAT HEADREST DEPLOYED, THE VEHICLE WAS APPROACHING STOP SIGN UPON STOPPING THE HEADREST DEPLOYED AND HIT MY WIFE IN HER HEAD. THERE WAS NO COLLISION INVOLVED, THE HEADREST DEPLOYED ON ITS OWN.
WHILE USING THE NAVIGATION I AM WARNED OF TURNS OR EXITS AHEAD WITH INSTRUCTIONS LIKE: "TURN RIGHT IN 1/2 MILE" ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS I HAVE STARTED APPROPRIATE LANE CHANGES TO FOLLOW THE VERBAL INSTRUCTIONS WHEN I GLANCED AT THE MAP AND FOUND I WAS ACTUALLY SHOWN TO TURN IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION. THERE IS NO CONSISTENCY IN THIS FAILURE AND MY JEEP DEALER STATED THAT UNLESS I DEMONSTRATED THE PROBLEM THERE WAS NOTHING I COULD DO UNDER WARRANTY. AS OF THIS DATE I HAVE SUFFERED ONE NEAR MISS AND HAVE HAD TO SHUT OFF VOICE NOTICES TO AVOID THIS PROBLEM WITH THE RESULTANT NEED TO LOOK AT THE MAP AND NOT KEEP MY EYES ON THE ROAD. I BELIEVE THIS IS A SOFTWARE PROBLEM AND IS PROBABLY OCCURRING ON OTHER JEEPS.AND MAY HAVE CAUSED ACCIDENTS AND INJURIES.
THE DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT BELT JUST STOPPED RETRACTING ONE DAY. THERE WAS NO CRASH OR EVENT OF ANY KIND. I'VE VERIFIED ONLINE THAT THIS SPECIFIC COMPLAINT IS VERY COMMON AND ESSENTIALLY LEAVES THE DRIVER WITH NO SEAT BELT OR A VERY LOOSE SEAT BELT.
VEHICLE EQUIPPED WITH FORWARD COLLISION WARNING (FCW) HAS INADVERTENTLY APPLIED THE BRAKES, SLOWING THE VEHICLE DOWN, WITH NO VEHICLE OR OBSTRUCTION AHEAD. THIS HAS OCCURRED MULTIPLE TIMES AND MORE FREQUENTLY SOUNDS THE I-BRAKE ALERT WITH NO VEHICLE OR OBSTRUCTIONS AHEAD. THE RISK POTENTIAL TO LOSE CONTROL OR BE REAR ENDED IS HIGH. THIS HAS OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING AT 30MPH ON A STREET AND 60MPH WHILE ON A HIGHWAY. THE JEEP DEALER HAS BEEN UNABLE TO DETERMINE ANY CAUSES OR FIXES THROUGHOUT THE LAST YEAR. THE SAFE NOTED 12/2/19 IS THE LAST TIME THE BRAKING HAS OCCURRED BUT HAS BEEN OCCURRING SINCE 2018.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT STATED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT IMMEDIATELY TURN OFF WHEN THE START/STOP BUTTON WAS DEPRESSED. ALSO, WHILE PRESSING START/STOP BUTTON THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT IMMEDIATELY START. DURING THE FAILURE THE MESSAGE 'ALREADY IN GEAR' WAS DISPLAYED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE LOCAL DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000. *BF CONSUMER STATED SINCE 2013 VEHICLE HAD THE FOLLOWING ISSUES HEAD UNIT, BRAKE BOOSTER WATER SHIELD, NAVIGATION (4 TIMES) AND STILL NOT WORKING, AND LIGHT SENSOR COMES ON ONCE IN A WHILE. *JB
PASSENGER HEAD REST POPPED UP WHILE DRIVING.
WHILE CAR WAS TRAVELING AT APPROX 45MPH ON INTERSTATE, WITHOUT ANY INTERRUPTION TO AN OTHERWISE SMOOTH RIDE, BOTH HEADRESTS DEPLOYED THE CRASH-RELEASE MECHANISM AND SPRUNG OUT TO DRILL MY WIFE (DRIVER) AND I IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD WITH HEAVY FORCE. MY FIRST THOUGHT WAS THAT WE HAD BEEN REAR ENDED. WE WERE LUCKY TO PULL OVER, AND GATHER OURSELVES BEFORE PROCEEDING (WITH A HEADACHE).
ELECTRICAL STOPS WORKING, SOFTWARE MALFUNCTIONS OF COMPUTER. SHUTS OFF OR SHOWS SERVICE FOR 911 PHONE. POWER STEERING DOESN'T WORK AND BRAKES ARE HARD AND FLUTTER.
VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AND IDLING IN THE PARK POSITION, WENT TO SHIFT TO REVERSE AND IT WOULD AUTOMATICALLY SHIFT INTO NEUTRAL AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON IMMEDIATELY AFTER. ATTEMPTED TO SHIFT BACK INTO REVERSE AND IT WOULD ONCE AGAIN SHIFT INTO NEUTRAL. TURNED VEHICLE OFF AND BACK ON AND WAS ABLE TO SHIFT INTO REVERSE FINE HOWEVER THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT REMAINED ON. PRIOR TO THIS EVENT HAPPENING THERE HAD BEEN A JERKING AND PULLING FEELING IN THE TRANSMISSION WHEN THE VEHICLE WOULD SHIFT GEARS AS IT ACCELERATED ON CITY STREETS AS WELL AS ON THE HIGHWAY. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP TO GET INSPECTED AND WAS DIAGNOSED WITH THE TCM CODES P1D92 AND P1DA8. WAS ADVICED TO HAVE THE VALVE BODY REPLACED OR POSSIBLY EVEN THE TRANSMISSION. THE JERKING AND PULLING FEELING IS STILL CURRENT.
MY JEEP STARTED WITH AN ERROR 'SERVICE SHIFTER' ON THE CONTROL PANEL SHORTLY AFTER THAT ALL THE CODES STARTED POPPING UP. STEERING WHEEL, TIRE PRESSURE, ETC. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP THEY HAVE REPLACED THE BODY CONTROL MODULE BUT UNFORTUNATELY THE CODES HAVE NOT CLEARED. I'VE HAD THIS VEHICLE FOR ONLY TWO YEARS THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT THE DEALERSHIP CAN NOT PINPOINT THE PROBLEM ON IT.
DRIVERS SIDE HEADREST DEPLOYED WITHOUT A COLLISION. VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AND OFF.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, THE STEERING LOST POWER WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING PUMP NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS IN THE PROCESS OF BEING TOWED TO ZEIGLER CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (847-565-2442, LOCATED AT 208 W GOLF RD, SCHAUMBURG, IL 60195) FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 68248550. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 82,000.
I HEARD A RATTLING NOISE AND IMMEDIATELY MADE AN APPOINTMENT WITH A DEALERSHIP. THEY RAN DIAGNOSTIC TESTING AND WHATEVER THEY DID DURING THE TEST, IT CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO LOCK UP AND BECOME NOT DRIVABLE. THEY INFORMED ME IT'S THE TRANSFER CASE, WHICH IS A KNOWN AND COSTLY ISSUE.
INADVERTENT DEPLOYMENT OF "ACTIVE HEADREST" ON DRIVER'S SEAT WITH NO ACCIDENT. HEADREST SPONTANEOUSLY BURST OPEN. VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AND GEAR SHIFTER WAS IN PARK IN MY DRIVEWAY WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING.
DOWN SHIFTS SEVERAL GEARS WITHOUT WARNING WHILE AT SPEED CAUSING ENGINE TO OVER REV AND DRASTICALLY SLOW.
ABOUT TWO MONTHS AGO MY SUSPENSION STARTED TO ACT UP. NOW MY SUSPENSION IS STUCK COMPLETELY AT THE LOWEST POINT. THE ENGINE HAS A TICKING SOUND AND NOW IT DOESNT RUN RIGHT.
DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE THE SUNROOF EXPLODED.
MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND UPON RUNNING A DIAGNOSTIC THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE LEFT CYLINDER HEAD VALVE AND IT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. I TRIED TO ORDER THE PART FROM JEEP AND GET THE CAR REPAIRED AT MY LOCAL MECHANIC. MY WARRANTY HAD ENDED 5 MONTHS PRIOR AND MY CAR HAD 105,000 MILES SO I HAD TO PAY TO GET THIS FIXED. JEEP COULD NOT PROVIDE THE PART BECAUSE THEY WERE OUT OF STOCK. THEY HAD BEEN OUT OF STOCK FOR FOUR MONTHS AND PUT ME ON A WAITING LIST OF 6-8 MONTHS. THEY ALSO ADVISED NOT TO DRIVE THE CAR DUE TO THE SEVERITY OF THE ISSUE. THEY ALSO INFORMED ME THAT THIS IS A NATIONWIDE EPIDEMIC AND THE SPECIFIC PART NEEDED IS ON BACK ORDER FOR OVER 4,000 PEOPLE. THEY SYMPATHIZED WITH THE STRAIN THIS PUTS ON THEIR CUSTOMERS BUT WE HAVE NO OPTION BUT TO WAIT FOR THE PART TO BE AVAILABLE. THIS ISSUE HAS NOT YET BEEN RESOLVED AS A RECALL. I AM AT A LOSS BECAUSE I CANNOT USE THE CAR, YET I NEED TO HAVE TRANSPORTATION TO WORK, AT THE LEAST. I HAVE YET TO COME TO A REASONABLE SOLUTION OF WHAT TO DO FOR THE NEXT 6-8 MONTHS WITHOUT AN OPERABLE CAR. FINANCIALLY THIS IS A HUGE SETBACK AND JEEP IS NOT TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS ISSUE. ASIDE FROM THE EXTREME INCONVENIENCE, THIS IS ALSO A VERY EXPENSIVE REPAIR THAT SHOULD NOT LAND IN THE HANDS OF OVER 4,000 JEEP CUSTOMERS, BUT THE COMPANY WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING AND MAINTAINING SAFE VEHICLES. THIS IS NOT ONLY AN ISSUE FOR 2014 JEEP BUT IT HAS BEEN DOCUMENTED STARTING WITH 2011-2015 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEES.
DRIVER SEAT HEADREST POPPED OFF WHILE DRIVING, ALMOST CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. GOT HEADACHE FOR 2 HOURS AFTER THAT. THOUGHT, I HAD A REAR COLLISION, THE WAY IT FELT.
DRIVERS SEATBELT AND MIDDLE BACK SEAT WONT RETRACT.
THE PLASTIC OIL COOLER HOUSING FAILED DUE TO THE PLASTIC WARPING AROUND THE SEALS AND LEAKING. THIS IS A SAFETY RISK OF POTENTIAL FIRE FROM OIL LEAKING ON TO THE ENGINE BLOCK. THE CAUSE OF THIS FAILURE IS DUE TO DESIGN AND SHOULD BE COVERED BY THE MANUFACTURER AS A RECALL.
AHR HEADREST DEPLOYED WHILE DRIVING.
CAMSHAFT AND LIFTER PROBLEM. CAMSHAFT HAD TO BE REPLACED DUE TO LIFTER NOT OPERATING PROPERLY AND WEARING OUT CAMSHAFT.
WHILE I WAS DRIVING MY 2014 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE THE HEAD REST BURST OPEN WHILE DRIVING. I WAS DOING 55 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY IN NORTH CAROLINA WHEN THIS HAPPENED AND THERE WAS NO ACCIDENT. THE HEAD REST JARRED MY SURGICALLY REPAIRED NECK AND I WAS STIFF THE NEXT DAY BUT DID NOT SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION. I HAVE NOT TAKEN TO DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR YET AS I AM TRAVELING .
OIL FILTER HOUSING CRACKED AND DEEDED REPLACED. WAS TOLD THIS WAS VERY COMMON WITH JEEPS AND COST $1400 TO REPLACE.
SEAT BELT MECHANISM NO LONGER RETRACTS ON DRIVER SIDE. AS A RESULT, THE SEAT BELT WILL PROVIDE NO SAFETY BENEFIT IN A CRASH.
PASSENGER FRONT SEATBELT WILL NOT RETRACT AND DOES NOT ADJUST TO DIFFERENT SIZE PASSENGERS
