THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE FRONT LOWER BALL JOINT ASSEMBLY FRACTURED. IN 2006, THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 03V460000 (SUSPENSION) HOWEVER, FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 200,000.
AIRBAG LIGHT INTERMITTENTLY COMES ON AND OFF. IT BEGINS WHEN I TURN THE CAR ON, AND MAY TURN OFF WHILE I'M DRIVING AROUND TOWN, THEN COME ON AGAIN.

I HAVE 2 RECALLS ON MY JEEP RIGHT NOW. N46 AND R06- I WAS TOLD TODAY BECAUSE I LIVED IN WINTER CONDITIONS THAT THE N46 - CANNOT BE INSTALLED BECAUSE THERE IS CORROSION IN THE FRAME OF THE CAR MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR THE HITCH TO BE INSTALLED. SO IF I AM IN A COLLISION AND REAR ENDED MY FUEL TANK COULD EXPLODE. THE R06 COULD NOT BE PREFORMED WHICH IS THE OCCUPANT RESTRAINT CONTROL MODULE BECAUSE THERE HAVE BEEN NO PARTS AVAILABLE SINCE FEBRUARY OF 2015. SO I COULD BE DRIVING AND MY AIRBAGS COULD DEPLOY WHICH WILL RESULT IN AN ACCIDENT. I CALLED THE FCA RECALL ASSISTANCE CENTER AND THEY WERE UNABLE TO GIVE ME A SOLUTION TO EITHER ISSUE. I TOOK TIME OFF OF WORK TO HAVE THESE ISSUES RESOLVED AND IT WAS A WASTE OF MY DAY AND TIME NOT TO MENTION THE FACT THAT MY VEHICLE IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE.
MY WIFE WAS DRIVING HER 2002 JEEP LIBERTY HOME ON 28 JAN 2016 ON CEDER ROAD CHESAPEAKE VA WHEN THE DRIVERS SIDE AIR BAG DEPLOYED. SEE WAS DRIVING THE SPEED LIMIT WHEN IT HAPPENED. THE JEEP DEALER HAS THE VEHICLE AND THE THE CASE NUMBER FRO CHRYSLER IS 28667697. I'VE BEEN TRYING TO GET THEM TO DO SOMETHING TO FIX THE VEHICLE AND TO GIVE A LOANER VEHICLE TO USE WHILE THE JEEP IS IN REPAIR. SO FAR THEY ARE SAYING THEY ARE EXPEDITING THE INVESTAGATION.
TAKATA RECALL/ THE LAST RECALL THAT I HAD PERFORMED WAS R06/NHTSA 15V-046 OCCUPANT RESTRAINT CONTROL MODULE. THE RECALL WAS COMPLETED AT BOBB'S CHRYSLER/CEDAR LAKE, IN 01/16. THE AIR BAG LIGHT STAYS ON CONTINUOUSLY, SINCE THE RECALL WAS PERFORMED. I WAS TOLD TO BRING IT BACK IN FOR DIAGNOSTICS, BUT WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THE TEST. THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V046000 (AIR BAGS). A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE FACE, EYES, HAND AND A FRACTURED WRIST, WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. NUMBER 3 AND 6 CYLINDERS BLEW. FOUND BROKEN RODS AND BEARINGS IN THE OIL PAN. BEARINGS WERE TWISTED AROUND THE STUDS FOR THE CRANK COVER. SEEMS TO BE A COMMON ISSUE IN THIS YEAR 3.7L ENGINE. THIS HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING IN TRAFFIC ON A CITY STREET AND I CAN'T IMAGINE WHAT I WOULD HAVE DONE IF I HAD BEEN DRIVING ON I95 WHEN IT OCCURED.

AFTER AN INSPECTION IT WAS FOUND THAT MY UPPER CONTROL ARMS & BALL JOINTS ARE NO GOOD FROM MOSTLY CORROSION .I HAVE 73000 MILES ON THIS TRUCK. DOING RE SEARCH I FIND A RECALL FOR THIS EXACT SAME PROBLEM. THE RECALL STATES THAT THIS PROBLEM IS REGISTRATION SPECIFIC TO SALT BELT USAGE. AGAIN I QUALIFY FOR THAT PART AS WELL.THE RECALL IS J 17 AND IN CALLING JEEP THERE TELLING ME ABOUT THE VIN BUT NOT ABOUT THE SALT BELT STATE USEAGE .THE ARMS DO NOT CORRODE IN FLA BUT THEY DO IN NY . THE BALL JOINT AND ARM NEED REPLACEMENT THIS IS CLEARLY A MANUFACTURE DEFECT OF THE PART EXPOSED TO SALT. CALLING JEEP IS WORTHLESS CALLED NHSTA SAME RESULT

WHILE TRYING TO HAVE THE N46 RECALL DEALT WITH IN A TIMELY FASHION I HAVE BEEN GETTING THE RUN AROUND FOR MONTHS FROM SANSONE JEEP DEALER IN AVENEL, NJ I TRIED THREE TIMES TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. THE FIRST TIME I WAS SENT AN EMAIL THAT THEY WOULD CONTACT ME SHORTLY, AND NEVER DID. THE SECOND TIME THEY AGAIN SENT ME AN EMAIL THAT THEY WOULD CONTACT ME SHORTLY, AND DID NOT CONTACT ME AGAIN ATTACHED IS AN EMAIL WITH THEIR RESPONSE SHOWING THIS WAS BACK IN MARCH. NOTE IN THE EMAIL I ASKED IF THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH GETTING THIS DONE AND STILL NO RESPONSE. FINALLY, AFTER BEING THERE IN PERSON AND GETTING AN APPOINTMENT FOR NOV 16TH. I TOOK OFF FROM WORK AND LOST A DAYS PAY IN ORDER TO DEAL WITH THIS PROBLEM. AFTER MY CAR BEING THERE ALL DAY I WENT TO PICK IT UP JUST FOR THEM TO TELL ME THEY LOOKED AT AND WILL ORDER THE PART. WHY WASN'T THIS PART ORDERED A MONTH AGO WHEN I MADE THE APPOINTMENT. I KEEP RECEIVING NOTICES ABOUT HOW IMPORTANT IT IS TO HAVE THIS FIXED. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS OR INJURIES. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A TOW YARD. UPON NOTIFICATION OF THE FAILURE, THE MANUFACTURER SENT A PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR TO ASSESS THE DAMAGES ON THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 168,000.
ON 11/11/2015 AT APPROXIMATELY 05:00A.M. I STARTED OUT FOR WORK. THE AIRBAG INDICATOR LIGHT STARTED BLINKING AND ABOUT 5 SECONDS LATER THE AIRBAG DEPLOYED FOR NO REASON. I WAS TRAVELING IN A STRAIGHT LINE GOING ABOUT 40MPH. THE VEHICLE IS BEING SERVICED AT THIS TIME.

THIS COMPLIANT IS TO INFORM NHTSA THAT MY LOCAL CHRYSLER DEALER (CENTENNIAL CHRYSLER JEEP, 9980 E ARAPAHOE RD, ENGLEWOOD, CO 80112, 877-216-2706) INDICATES THAT THEY HAVE NOT RECEIVED AND DO NOT HAVE THE REPAIR PARTS TO PERFORM CHRYSLER RECALL NO. 6 R06 / NHTSA RECALL NO. 15V-046 THAT WAS RELEASED ON JANUARY 27, 2015. THIS RECALL IS FOR REPLACING THE AIRBAG SYSTEM OCCUPANT RESTRAINT CONTROL MODULE. THE DEALER REPORTED THAT THEY DO NOT KNOW WHEN THE REPAIR PARTS WILL BE AVAILABLE. THIS DELAY IS UNACCEPTABLE, ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING THE RECALL DATE IS OVER 10 MONTHS OLD. I RESPECTFULLY REQUEST NHTSA INFORM CHRYSLER TO EXPEDITE RELEASE OF THESE REPAIR PARTS IMMEDIATELY TO RECTIFY POTENTIALLY UNSAFE VEHICLES.
RECALL OCCUPANT RESTRAINT CONTROL MODULE R06 / NHTSA 15V-046 RECALL IS DATED 2/6/15. IT IS NOW NOVEMBER 2015 AND THE PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE TO GET THIS SAFETY RECALL ISSUE CORRECTED. I HAVE CONTACTED BY DEALER SINCE FEB 2015 TO BE TOLD THE SAME THING THAT CHRYSLER HAS NOT SENT THEM THE PARTS. HOW MUCH LONGER DO I NEED TO WAIT PUTTING MYSELF AT RISK??
WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AND QUIT. HAD TOWED TO SHOP AND THEY SAID THE ENGINE WAS SHOT.
I HAVE AN OPEN RECALL NOTICE R06 FOR THE OCCUPANT RESTRAINT CONTROL MODULE FROM FEBRUARY 2015. MY "AIRBAG" INDICATOR LIGHT HAS COME ON. I CONTACTED A DEALER TODAY AND WAS TOLD THAT PARTS ARE STILL NOT AVAILABLE, BUT THAT I COULD MAKE AN APPOINTMENT AND HAVE THE INDICATOR LIGHT INVESTIGATED AT MY COST. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. I CONTACTED THE FCA RECALL NUMBER TODAY AND WAS TOLD THAT PARTS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL THE FIRST QUARTER OF 2016, SOMEWHERE BETWEEN 2 1/2 AND 5 1/2 MONTHS FROM NOW. I MENTIONED THE AIRBAG INDICATOR LIGHT AND THE FACT THAT MY PREGNANT DAUGHTER-IN-LAW DRIVES THE VEHICLE. THE ADVICE I WAS GIVEN WAS THAT I SHOULD CONTACT MY DEALER ABOUT A LOANER UNTIL THE PARTS ARRIVE. AGAIN, UNACCEPTABLE.

THE VEHICLE WAS MANEUVERED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE BALL JOINT FRACTURED. THE MECHANIC REPLACED THE FRONT UPPER CONTROL ARM ASSEMBLY. AFTER THE REPAIR WAS PERFORMED, THE CONTACT WAS MADE AWARE OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 09V119000 (SUSPENSION). THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. LUG NUTS BROKE ON THE DRIVER SIDE FRONT TIRE WHILE DRIVING. WHILE DRIVING ON I95 THE JEEP STARTED MAKING A TERRIBLE NOISE. I PULLED OFF THE HIGHWAY AND THE WHEEL WAS ANGLED. I GOT A TOW TO MY MECHANIC AND HE REPLACED 5 WHEEL STUDS AND LUG NUTS. SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE LIBERTY.

WIFE WAS GETTING GAS, WENT TO START THE VEHICLE AND IT WOULD NOT START, BATTERY IS GOOD, KEY TURNS ON AND EVERYTHING POWERS UP. BENCH TESTED THE STARTER AND IT IS FINE, IT JUST WONT START. HAVE CHECKED ONLINE AND THERE ARE SEVERAL THOUSAND OWNERS WITH THE SAME ISSUE.
