THE LOWER BALL JOINT COMPLETLY CAME APART WHILE DRIVING. THIS WAS PREVIOUSLY RECALLED AND FIXED BUT WAS NOT FIXED CORRECTLY. CHRYSLER IS REFUSING TO REPAIR IT. IT COULD HAVE KILLED EVERYONE IN THE VEHICLE IF THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED ON THE HIGHWAY. THE LOWER BALL JOINTS ARE STILL A SAFETY ISSUE ON THESE VEHICLES AND THEY SHOULD NOT BE DRIVEN WITH THE DEFECT.
2003 JEEP LIBERTY. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO FUEL TANK LEAKAGE AND AIRBAG INADVERTENT DEPLOYMENT RECALL WORK NOT COMPLETE. *SMD THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONSUMER BOTH RECALL WERE COMPLETE. HOWEVER, THE CONSUMER DISCOVERED FROM ANOTHER WEBSITE, THE RECALLS WERE LISTED AS INCOMPLETE. THE SERVICE ADVISOR AT THE DEALER STATED ON THE FUEL RECALL WAS DONE AND IT ONLY REQUIRED AN INSPECTION. IT WAS LATER DISCOVERED, NONE OF THE REPAIRS WERE DONE.*JB
2003 JEEP LIBERTY. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO VEHICLE AIRBAG AND SEAT BELT ISSUES AT DEALERSHIP. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED THE DEALER DID NOT WANT TO GIVE HIM AN APPOINTMENT, BECAUSE THEY NEEDED AUTHORIZATION. *JB
TAKATA RECALL LEWIS CHRYSLER/JEEP OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS RETURNED THE JEEP TO ME WITH NO RECEIPT AND SAID THE WORK WAS DONE. THE JEEP WAS SCHEDULED AT 9AM ON FEB.23.. AT 12:30PM THEY CALLED AND SAID IT HAD NOT BEEN STARTED YET. AT 1:30 THEY CALLED SAYING IT WAS DONE. THE GAVE ME THE KEY AND THAT WAS IT. I WENT HOME AND LOOKED AT MY TOYOTA RECEIPT FOR A SIMILAR RECALL. IT WAS VERY DETAILED. I RETURNED THE NEXT MORNING AND ASKED FOR A RECEIPT. THEY GAVE ME ONE WITH NO DETAILS. I SHOWED THE TOYOTA RECEIPT AND ASKED FOR THE SAME INFORMATION. FIRST THEY SAID THAT CHRYSLER/JEEP NEVER GIVES DETAILED RECEIPTS. AFTER I INSISTED, 10 MINUTES PASSED WHILE THEY WERE BACK IN THE OFFICE. THEY CAME OUT AND SAID THE WORK HAD NOT BEEN DONE BECAUSE A SPECIAL PART WAS NEEDED THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE. THEY HAD SENT ME HOME THINKING THE WORK HAD BEEN COMPLETED. IF I HAD NOT RETURNED FOR THE RECEIPT I WOULD HAVE NEVER KNOWN THE DIFFERENCE. THEN AND ONLY THEN DID THE MANAGER APOLOGIZE AND TRIED TO BLAME THE TECHNICIAN FOR NOT TELLING HIM. IT WAS SUSPICIOUS FROM THE START, WITH NO RECEIPT ISSUED AND GOING FROM NOT EVEN IN THE GARAGE YET TO BEING DONE IN UNDER AN HOUR.

THIS IS A COMPLAINT ABOUT FCA'S RECALL IMPLEMENTATION. FCA SIMPLY DOES NOT GET PARTS OUT TO DEALERS TO GET THE REPAIRS DONE. I HAVE BEEN WANTING TO GET THE RECALL WORK COMPLETED ON THE CAR BUT THE DEALERS DO NOT HAVE ANY PARTS TO DO THE REPAIRS. MY DAUGHTER WRECKED HER JEEP LIBERTY ON 1/14 AND AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. SHE RAN OFF ROAD HIT A DRAINAGE PIPE THAT WENT UNDER A DRIVEWAY PROCEEDED TO HIT A FIRE HYDRANT THEN A GUIDE WIRE THAT WENT TO A POWER POLE THEN THE CAR PROCEEDED TO ROLL SEVERAL TIMES. THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY.

I WAS SLOWING AT A LIGHT WHEN THE AIRBAG DEPLOYED. IT HIT MY STOMACH AND CHEST AND THE HORN STAYED ON. I JUMPED OUT OF MY JEEP AND THE DRIVER BEHIND ME GOT OUT TO SEE WHAT HAPPENED. THERE WAS SMOKE EVERYWHERE AND HE TOLD ME TO TURN ON THE JEEP TO MOVE IT OFF TO THE SIDE BUT I WAS TOO SCARED SO HE TURNED THE KEY TO PUT IT IN NEUTRAL AND WE PUSHED IT OFF TO THE SIDE. ON 12/05/15 I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR THE AIRBAGS. I HAVE CALLED BACK SEVERAL TIMES AND GOT NO RESPONSE. I BELIEVE THIS IS A WIDE SPRED CRISIS AND SHOULD BE ADDRESSED RIGHT AWAY.MY NEIGHBOR RECENTLY HAD A CRASH AND LOST SEVERAL FRONT TEETH BECAUSE THE AIRBAG DIDN'T DEPLOY.

A TECHNICIAN WAS CONTACTED WHICH ADVISED THE CONTACT TO REVERSE THE VEHICLE HOWEVER, THE FRONT PASSENGER TIRE DETACHED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE TECHNICIAN NOTICED THE LOWER BALL JOINT WAS FRACTURED. THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 09V119000 (SUSPENSION). THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE LOWER BALL JOINT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT PROVIDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.
TAKATA RECALL--TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALER IN REGARDS TO AIRBAG RECALL. WAS TOLD "PARTS ARE UNAVAILABLE TO FIX THIS ISSUE", BUT IT WAS "SAFE TO DRIVE" AS LONG AS THE AIRBAG INDICATOR LIGHT DID NOT REMAIN ON FULL TIME. ON THE WAY HOME FROM THE DEALER, THE INDICATOR DID INDEED COME ON & NOT GO OFF. IN RESEARCHING THIS ONLINE, I SEE "PARTS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL LATE 2016!" I HAVE CALLED CHRYSLER ABOUT BEING UNABLE TO DRIVE MY VEHICLE & WAS BASICALLY BRUSHED OFF. THE ONE PERSON WHO WAS TRYING TO HELP US, HAD US ON HOLD SO LONG CALLING AROUND THAT THEIR SYSTEM HUNG UP THE PHONE. I CAN NOT SIT ON A CAR FOR A YEAR, UNABLE TO DRIVE IT, HAVING TO RELY ON ONE VEHICLE FOR OUR FAMILY, AND NOT HAVE ANY RECOURSE OR COMPENSATION TO OFFSET OUR TIME & FRUSTRATION.
MY 2003 JEEP LIBERTY HAS BEEN SHUTTING OFF WHILE I AM DRIVING IT. THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN ON GOING FOR ABOUT 4 MONTHS NOW AND I HAVE TAKEN IT IN TO FIX IT MULTIPLE TIMES. I ALMOST GOT INTO A VERY BAD CRASH RECENTLY BECAUSE OF THE ISSUE AND AS A 19 YEAR OLD GIRL ITS A VERY SCARY ISSUE TO BE DEALING WITH. I HAVE PUT IN $400 FOR NEW SPARK PLUGS WHICH DIDN'T' EVEN FIX THE PROBLEM AS WELL AS NEW TIRES AND BRAKES. THIS LITTLE CAR PROBLEM IS TAKEN A TOLL ON MY WHOLE LIFE. I DID SOME RESEARCH AND FOUND I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE YET STILL NO ANSWERS. WHAT HAPPENS WHILE IM DRIVING USUALLY IF IM BRAKING AND OR TURNING MY CAR WILL SHUT OFF THE OIL LIGHT WILL TURN ON FOR A SECOND AND BEEP AND THEN IF I WANT IT TO KEEP GOING I HAVE TO TURN THE KEY AGAIN AND IT WILL START BUT THIS IS NO LONGER OKAY AND THE PROBLEM SHOULD BE KNOWN TO JEEP OWNERS OR FUTURE BUYERS ESPECIALLY OF MY MODEL. I HAVE ATTEMPTED TO SUBMIT MY 2003 JEEP LIBERTY FOR RECALL REPAIRS RELATING TO RECALL N46 AND R06 BEGINNING MORE THAN A YEAR AGO TO MY TWO NEAREST JEEP DEALERSHIPS; TATE JEEP IN FREDERICK AND CENTURY JEEP IN MT. AIRY, MARYLAND. WHEN I INQUIRE THAT I HAVE RECEIVED NOTICES BY MAIL INSTRUCTING FOR RECALL REPAIRS I AM BEING IGNORED FOR SERVICE. CENTURY JEEP PLACED ME ON A CALL-BACK LIST, BUT I WAS NEVER CONTACTED. WHEN I CALLED AFTER 4-5 MONTHS I WAS TOLD I AM STILL ON THE WAITING LIST. A YEAR HAS GONE BY WITH NO FURTHER CONTACT. WHEN I INQUIRED OF TATE JEEP ABOUT RECALL REPAIRS THEY WILL NOT RESPOND BACK TO ME. I FOUGHT WITH CENTURY JEEP FOR ABOUT A YEAR TO HAVE MY AIRBAG RECALL ADDRESSED. FRANKLY, I AM TIRED OF BEGGING AND PLEADING WITH MY LOCAL JEEP DEALERSHIPS TO HAVE RECALL WORK PERFORMED. I HAVE BEEN AFRAID EVERY DAY I DRIVE MY LIBERTY OF HAVING THE AIR BAG EXPLODE IN MY FACE OR MY GAS TANK EXPLODING FROM A REAR END COLLISION. I HAVE REPAIRED MY ELECTRIC WINDOWS TWICE, DRIVER SIDE, REAR PASSENGER SIDE AND NOW FRONT PASSENGER SIDE. THIS HAS COST ME SEVERAL HUNDRED DOLLARS FOR TWO REGULATORS AND NOW I CAN'T FIX THE RECENT PASSENGER WINDOW.

ALSO, THE TECHNICIAN MADE THE CONTACT AWARE THAT NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 03V460000 (SUSPENSION) WAS DIRECTLY RELATED TO THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER AS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 138,994.
MY VEHICLE WAS BEING DRIVIN ON SMOOTH OPEN HIGHWAY . THE CHILD IN THE BACK SEAT REQUESTED THE BACK WINDOW BE ROLLED UP . THIS DRIVER PROCEEDED TO DEPRESS BUTTON THAT CONTROLS THE OPERATION OF THE WINDOW IN THE BACK SEAT UP OR DOWN AND WHEN DOING SO THE WINDOW DID NOT CLOSE ALL THE WAY SHUT. THIS DRIVER STOPPED TO GET GAS AND TRIED THE SWITCH ONCE AGAIN . THE WINDOW WOULD STILL NOT CLOSE ALL THE WAY . WHEN WINDOW WAS TOUCHED AT THE TOP , IT FELT LOOSE AND EASILY SLID DOWN INTO THE DOOR AND NO LONGER WORKED TO CLOSE AT ALL. DIAGNOSIS WAS MADE AT A PROFESSIONAL DEALER QUOTING $300 CLAIMING THAT THE REGULATORY SWITCH WAS BROKEN .UPON CALLING CHRYSLER WITH COMPLAINT , MY RESPONSE WAS THAT THIS PROBLEM IS AT MY EXPENSE BECAUSE A- THE VEHICLE IS OLDER AND THE PREVIOUS OWNER COULD HAVE CAUSED THIS PROBLEM . I STRONGLY DISAGREE THAT THE AGE AND NUMBER OF OWNERS OF A VEHICLE WARRANTS DENIAL OF RECALL AND REPLACE OR THE REGULATORY SWITCH .THIS IS A CONTINUAL PROBLEM AND HUNDREDS OF OTHER PERSONS HAVE COMPLAINED THE SAME PROBLEM. CHRYSLER USED CHEAP PARTS MEANT TO BREAK WITH NO REGARD FOR ITS CUSTOMERS WHATSOEVER. IN MY CASE CHILDREN WERE IN THE VEHICLE BACK SEAT AND THIS PROBLEM DOES IMPOSE A SAFETY RISK TO CHILDREN AS WELL AS FINANCIAL BURDEN ON THE CUSTOMER. CHRYSLER IS AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM BECAUSE THEY HAVE REMADE REGULATORY SWITCH AND MOTOR BETTER BUILT ONY WANT CUSTOMERS TO BUY IT . REGULATORY SWITCH SHOULD BE RECALLED AND RE INSTALLED JUST LIKE THE HITCH WAS , TS IS NO DIFFERENT A CHILD IS PUT AT RISK !

MY DAUGHTER WAS SETTING STILL, CAR WAS IN PARK WITH ENGINE RUNNING ABOUT TO LEAVE HER WORK. WHEN BOTH FRONT AIR BAGS DEPLOYED FOR NO REASON. THIS BRUISED HER LEGS AND HURT THE PASSENGERS FIGURE. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A LOT WORSE. CRYSLER HAS BEEN GIVING US THE RUN A ROUND AT WON'T FIX THE VEHICLE.
