THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE UPPER CONTROL ARM AND REAR LOWER CONTROL ARM NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 09V119000 (SUSPENSION). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 110,981.
RECALL R06 ONLY PARTIALLY PERFORMED BY JEEP DEALER .. PASSENGER SEAT ELECTRONICS HAVING TO DO WITH AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT / SEATBELT RESTRAINT, WERE DISCONNECTED BY DEALER AS PER FIAT CHRYSLER. PARTS ARE STILL NOT AVAILABLE TO COMPLETE THIS R06 RECALL. PASSENGER LIFE MAY BE IN DANGER.
TOOK JEEP TO AL SERRA GRAND BLANC MI TO INSTALL TRAILER HITCH PER RECALL - SAID THEY COULD NOT INSTALL DUE TO RUST - YET JEEP HAS LISTED RECALL REPAIR AS COMPLETED EVEN THOUGH NO INSTALLATION WAS DONE. DESPITE NUMEROUS CALLS TO JEEP IT IS STILL LISTED AS COMPLETED. I WOULD LIKE THE RECALL TO BE SHOWN AS INCOMPLETE IN THEIR RECORDS. I BELIEVE THIS IS A FALSIFICATION OF RECORDS.

MY 2003 JEEP LIBERTY WAS RECALLED IN 2015 BECAUSE OF AN EXPLODING GAS TANK PROBLEM. I TOOK IT TO A DEALERSHIP BUT THEY REFUSED TO FIX THE PROBLEM, SAYING THAT RUST ON THE THREADS OF THE FRAME MOUNTING HOLES PREVENTED THEM FROM MOUNTING A HITCH TO FIX THE PROBLEM. I ASKED THEM IF THEY COULD THREAD A BIGGER HOLE, USE A BOLT AND NUT,OR JUST WELD THE NEEDED REPAIR PART ON - THEY REFUSED. I JUST THIS DAY TOOK MY JEEP TO A DIFFERENT DEALERSHIP TO HAVE A DIFFERENT RECALL REPAIRED SO I ASKED THEM TO CHECK CHRYSLER - JEEP RECORDS ON MY JEEP AND THEY HAVE IT LISTED AS SATISFIED FOR THE EXPLODING PROBLEM. THIS IS NOT TRUE, THEY REFUSED TO FIX IT EVEN AFTER SEVERAL E-MAILS TO THEM. NOW I SEE THAT THERE ARE STILL PROBLEMS WITH THE JEEPS EXPLODING EVEN AFTER REPAIRS HAVE BEEN MADE. HOW DO I GO ABOUT MAKING THIS COMPANY DO A PROPER REPAIR ON MY JEEP?

A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE CONTACT WAS INJURED AND RECEIVED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 118,761.
WHILE DRIVING AT 35 MPH, OBSERVED THAT IGNITION KEY WAS LOOSE. PULLED ON KEY AND IT CAME OUT OF THE IGNITION SWITCH AND CAR WAS STILL RUNNING NORMALLY.

THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED HEAD TRAUMA, INJURIES TO THE LEFT HUMERUS, RIGHT WRIST, EIGHT BROKEN RIBS, AND PUNCTURED LUNGS THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED TO A TOW LOT. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THEIR DATABASE DISPLAYED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY SERVICED PER THE RECALL, WHICH WAS INACCURATE. THE MANUFACTURER DENIED TO REPURCHASE THE VEHICLE. RECEIVED NOTICE ABOUT R06, WHICH IS A RECALL FIXING THE ORIGINAL RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE WITH THE AIRBAG AND RESTRAINT SYSTEM. I RECEIVED THIS NOTICE IN FEBRUARY 2015, ALMOST 6 MONTHS AGO, AND NO REMEDY IS AVAILABLE YET. I FEEL THIS IS AN EXCESSIVE AMOUNT OF TIME, AND SHOULD'VE HAD A SOLUTION BY NOW, OR AT THE VERY LEAST JEEP CONTACTING ME AGAIN, AND SAYING "I KNOW WE HAVE NOT RESOLVED THE OUTSTANDING RECALL, AND WE APOLOGIZE HOWEVER WE ARE WORKING ON THE SITUATION". IF THIS WAS DONE, AT LEAST I'D KNOW THERE STILL TRYING TO DO SOMETHING TO RESOLVE IT, INSTEAD OF GETTING THE RUN AROUND WHEN CALLING THE DEALERSHIP.
DRIVING AT ABOUT 45 MPH AND THE AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON AND STAYED ON, NOW I AM WORRIED AS TO WEATHER OR NOT THE AIR BAG SYSTEM IS SAFE OR IF THEY EVEN WORK,,THERE IS A RECALL ON MY JEEP FOR THIS PROBLEM,, BUT THEY DO NOT HAVE THE MODULE MANUFACTURED YET. UNABLE TO COMPLETE RECALL, INCLUDING M35 ORC FILTER CIRCUT, N46 TRAILER HITCH, AND R06 ORC MODULE, DUE TO "EXCESSIVE CORROSION", ON 7/22/2015 AT VICTORY DEALERSHIP IN ROME, N.Y. THEY SUGGESTED I BRING MY JEEP TO A FABRICATION SHOP TO REPAIR, WHICH I DID TODAY, 7/29/2015. CNY PRECISION WELDING AND CUSTOM FABRICATION, LOCATED IN ROME, N.Y., REPAIRED THE VEHICLE FOR $350, BUT THEY WONDERED WHY THE HITCH COULDN'T HAVE BEEN INSTALLED PREVIOUSLY. I WILL BRING THE JEEP BACK TO VICTORY AS SOON AS I CAN GET ANOTHER APPOINTMENT. MY COMPLAINT IS THAT I AM A SINGLE MOM WITH NO SAFE CAR TO DRIVE! WHY COULDN'T THEY FIX THE OTHER RECALL ISSUES? THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE THE PARTS FOR THE AIRBAG ISSUE YET. WHAT IS REALLY UPSETTING IS A QUOTE I FOUND FROM THE NEW YORK TIMES, "BUT UNDER FEDERAL REGULATIONS, AUTOMAKERS UNDERTAKING A RECALL CANNOT OPT TO REPAIR SOME OF THE AFFECTED VEHICLES AND NOT OTHERS, SAID ALLAN KAM, WHO WORKED FOR THE HIGHWAY SAFETY AGENCY FROM 1975 TO 2000. THEY CAN'T BE SELECTIVE AND SAY, "IF THEY ARE RUSTY, THEY DON'T GET THE REMEDY," MR. KAM SAID IN A TELEPHONE INTERVIEW, "IF YOU CAN'T REPAIR IT, YOU REPLACE IT OR BUY IT BACK." IS ANY PART OF THE PREVIOUS QUOTE TRUE? I REALLY NEED TO GET SOME CLEAR DIRECTION FROM THE FIAT CHRYSLER COMPANY BEFORE I BORROW MORE MONEY TO FIX AN UNFIXABLE CAR. I CAN'T AFFORD THIS MESS. THIS CAR LEAKS POWER STEERING FLUID. MANY SIMILAR JEEP 2002 AND 2003 HAVE THIS PROBLEM. THIS CAR HAS ONLY 50000 MILES. THE DEALER WANTS TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE STEERING SYSTEM.

THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE ORC MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT DID NOT HAVE A REMEDY TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE AND HAD LESS THAN SEVEN DAYS TO PASS THE VEHICLE INSPECTION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER PROVIDED NO REMEDY. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 111,250.

WHILE DRIVING SOUTH ON I65 THE STRAPS THAT SECURE THE GAS TANK TO MY VEHICLE BROKE DUE TO RUST CAUSING THE GAS TANK TO DROP AND DRAG ON THE PAVEMENT. I COULD NOT ACCELERATE OR BRAKE SO I HAD TO GET ONTO THE SHOULDER AND COAST TO A STOP.

WHILE DRIVING AN EXTREMELY SHORT DISTANCE FROM MY HOME DRIVEWAY (MAYBE 50 FEET), MY "DRIVER SIDE" SEATBELT PRETENSIONER AND AIRBAG DEPLOYED. THERE IS ALREADY A RECALL FOR AIRBAG/SEATBELT PRETENSIONER ON MY VEHICLE (M35 (12V-527) OR N13 (13V-040) R06). WHEN I BROUGHT MY VEHICLE INTO SUNCOAST CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM, THEY TO TOLD ME THE RECALL WAS FOR ONLY THE "PASSENGER SIDE" AND "DRIVER SIDE" WAS NOT PART OF THE RECALL. ALSO, SEAT BELT RELEASE BUTTON STOPPED RELEASING. IT STAYED SUPPRESSED IN THE RELEASE POSITION NOT ALLOWING THE BELT TO LOCK IN. AFTER TAPPING IT HARD, IT RELEASED. THEN IT FROZE IN THE LOCKED POSITION AND I COULDN'T GET OUT OF THE BELT. NOW IT WORKS, BUT I'M NOT SURE IF IT'S REALLY LOCKED AND WILL RELEASE IN AN ACCIDENT.

MY HUSBAND IS NOW TRAUMATIZED TO DRIVE THE JEEP. WE ALSO HEARD SOME STRANGE SOUNDS IN THE SERPENTINE BELT. WE DON'T NOW IF IT'S CONNECTED TO THE AIR BAG EXPLOSION. OUR CAR WAS BOUGHT SECOND.
