MY BRAKE LIGHTS KEEP BURNING OUT , I HAVE REPLACED THE ENTIRE LIGHT HOUSING ON BOTH SIDES AND NOW THE PASSENGER SIDE BRAKE LIGHT HAS BURNED OUT 3 THREES TIMES AGAIN AND THE SOCKET THAT HOUSES THE LIGHT BULB IS BURNED AGAIN AFTER REPLACING THE ENTIRE UNIT LAST SUMMER.ALSO EPECIALLY WHEN IT IS COLD MY CAR DOESN'T FEEL LIKE IT HAS ANY SUSPENSION , IT MAKES NOISES WHEN EVER I GO OVER A BUMP , I HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT THIS EVER SINCE I BOUGHT CAR BRAND NEW TO THE DEALER AND THEY TOLD ME NOTHING IS WRONG. *TR

RECALL NOTIFICATION NHTSA 13V-252 WAS ISSUED ON 12/11/2013. RECALL NOTICE STATES "CHRYSLER IS MAKING ALL REASONABLE EFFORTS TO OBTAIN THE PARTS AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE. CHRYSLER WILL CONTACT YOU AGAIN BY MAIL, WITH A FOLLOW-UP NOTICE, WHEN THE REMEDY PARTS ARE AVAILABLE." THAT FOLLOW-UP NOTICE WAS NEVER RECEIVED BY ME. AFTER CALLING THE CHRYSLER GROUP RECALL ASSISTANCE CENTER ON 5/1/2014 TO INQUIRE, WAS INFORMED THAT PARTS ARE NOT YET AVAILABLE AND THAT IT HAS NOT YET BEEN DETERMINED HOW THE JEEPS ARE TO BE FIXED. THERE IS NO ESTIMATED DATE FOR REMEDY OF THIS PROBLEM. IN MY OPINION, THIS IS AN UNREASONABLE TIME PERIOD TO WAIT FOR CORRECTION OF SUCH A POTENTIAL HAZARD AS FUEL TANK LEAKAGE DURING CERTAIN TYPES OF REAR END COLLISIONS. *TR

THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THAT THE REAR LOWER ARMS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
RECALL #L27 RECALL ISSUED TO "NORTHERN STATES" FOR THE EFFECT OF SALT ON LOWER REAR ARMS. I LIVE IN RUIDOSO NEW MEXICO IN A SNOW/SALT AREA AT 7,000 FOOT ELEVATION. I ALMOST HAD A WRECK WITH THE LOWER REAR ARMS MALFUNCTIONING. I HAD THE CAR REPAIRED AND THEN FOUND OUT THERE WAS A RECALL ISSUED YEARS BEFORE. CHRYSLER HAS REFUSED TO PAY THE INVOICE FOR FIXING THE LOWER REAR ARMS. THEY CLAIM THE RECALL IS FOR "NORTHERN STATES" ONLY. SORRY, THIS APPEARS TO BE A CHRYSLER FINANCIAL DECISION. SINCE THEY ADMIT THAT SALT CAN NEGATIVELY EFFECT THE LOWER REAR ARMS, THE ERROR SEEMS TO BE CHRYSLER DEFINING WHERE IN THE COUNTRY THERE ARE HEAVY SALT/SNOW WINTERS. I AM SIMPLY THANKFUL WE DID NOT HAVE A WRECK AND WANT REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE REPAIR. I FEEL IT IS GRAVE MISTAKE NOT TO HAVE THE RECALL APPLY TO JEEP LIBERTY 2014. IF THE CAR IS NOT IN A SALT/SNOW AREA THERE SHOULD BE NO REASON FOR RECALL REPAIRS. IF A CAR IS USED IN A SALT/SNOW AREA ANYWHERE IN THE UNITED STATES AND IT IS IMPACTED BY SALT THEN THE RECALL REPAIR SHOULD BE COMPLETED. AND--IT IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO. *TR
CAR SMOKES AND SMOKE COMES INSIDE THE CAR. IT IS EXTREMELY NOTICEABLE WHEN IT IS SITTING STILL CAR FILLED UP WITH SMOKE. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THE FRONT UPPER BALL JOINTS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS BEING REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 53,000. UPDATED 7/16/14*CN THE CONSUMER ALSO STATED, THE NEW BALL JOINT/CONTROL ARM CAUSED THE FRONT WHEEL BEARINGS TO BREAK, WHICH CAUSED THE STEERING TO WANDER AND MADE THE VEHICLE DIFFICULT TO CONTROL.

THE SPEED O METER COMES ON AND OFF SEVERAL TIMES AND NOW IT IS COMPLETELY BLANK. TOOK IT TO HAVE IT FIXED AT LEAST THREE TIMES, IT WORKED FOR A FE MILES THEN IT WENT OFF AGAIN. MY DAUGHTERS WERE DRIVING HOME AND THE REAR TIRE SLID ON SOME GRAVEL AND IT APPEARED SHE OVER CORRECTED AND THEY WENT OVER AN EMBANKMENT AND ROLLED AT LEAST 8 TO 10 TIMES. AT SOME POINT WHILE THEY WERE ROLLING BOTH OF THEIR SEATBELTS (BOTH FRONT SEAT)CAME UNHOOKED AND CAUSED MY YOUNGEST DAUGHTERS HEAD TO HANG OUT THE WINDOW. PEOPLE SHOULD KNOW THAT THIS WILL OR MAY OCCUR IN AN ACCIDENT OF THIS TYPE FOR THEIR SAFETY. *TR

MY VEHICLE IS UNDER SAFETY RECALL. I CONTACTED WALSER JEEP BACK AROUND APRIL / MAY? SET UP APPOINTMENT FOR ME TO BRING IN TO FIX BUT WHEN I GOT THERE THEY DID NOT HAVE ANY REPLACEMENT PARTS. THEY TOLD ME THEY WOULD CALL ME WHEN THEY ARRIVE. I WAITED APPROX. 1 MONTH AND CALLED THEM THEY SAID CHRYSLER WOULD GET BACK TO ME WHEN PARTS WERE READY. I HAVE NOT HEARD FROM ANYONE SINCE THEN AND JUST RECEIVED ANOTHER RECALL NOTICE FOR THE SAME REPAIR. WALSER JEEP IN ST. I'M WRITING A FOLLOW UP CONCERNING A IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL I RECEIVED ABOUT MIDDLE OF JANUARY STATING THAT THE FUEL TANK ON MY VEHICLE HAS A SMALL CHANCE OF EXPERIENCING A FUEL LEAK DURING CERTAIN TYPES OF REAR END COLLISIONS. FUEL LEAKAGE IN THE PRESENCE OF AN IGNITION SOURCE CAN RESULT IN AN UNDERBODY FIRE. ALSO SAID THAT I NEED TO WAIT FOR A FOLLOW UP NOTICE IN THE MAIL,BUT SO FAR I GOT NOTHING. WAITING THIS LONG IS NORMAL FOR THIS KIND OF SAFETY RECALL?? I HAVEN'T HAVE ANY INCIDENTS BUT I WROTE AND INCIDENT DATE AS TODAY BECAUSE IF NOT IT WOULDN'T LET ME SUBMIT THIS. I HAD JUST PICKED MY 5 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER UP FROM SCHOOL AND WE WAS ON OUR WAY HOME; WE WENT TO TURN THE CORNER AND IT FELT LIKE THAT BACK OF MY JEEP WAS FALLING OFF. I LOST CONTROL AND WENT OFF THE ROAD A BIT. REGAINED CONTROL AND GOT THE VEHICLE STOPPED. SHORTLY AFTER I GOT AHOLD OF MY STEP DAD AND WE MANAGED TO GET THE JEEP TO THE DEALERSHIP AND COME TO FIND OUT MY REAR CONTROL ARMS BROKE. SIMPLY ROLLED UP MY WINDOW THEN IT STOPPED AND WINDOW FELL DOWN. TOOK OFF THE DOOR PANEL TO EXAMINE AND THE CABLE STILL MOVED BUT MADE A LOT OF NOISE AND WINDOW DIDN'T MOVE. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME I'VE HAD THIS ISSUE. I REPLACED THE REAR PASSENGER WINDOW REGULATOR WHEN I PURCHASED THE CAR AND NOW THAT ONE IS MESSED UP ALSO. THE ONE THAT RECENTLY BROKE IS THE FRONT RIGHT WINDOW. ALSO MY HEAD LAMP IS SHOWING ISSUE WITH NOT COMING ON AND I'VE ALREADY TESTED THE STIRRING COLUMN SWITCH. *TR

THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE REMEDY TO INSTALL A TRAILER HITCH WAS INADEQUATE AND WOULD NOT IMPROVE THE SAFETY OF THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,000.

SLID ON ICE SLAMMED INTO BANK HARD, FLIPPED AROUND SLID ON SIDE OF THE CAR. THE CAR, FLIPPED BACK AROUND AND SLID ON THE OTHER SIDE THEN BACK UP ON THE WHEELS. THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY WHEN I SLAMMED INTO THE BANK. BUT I HAVE THE BRUISES WHERE THE SEAT BELTS WORKED. *TR
