NOT SURE WHEN LOCKS STOPPED ONLY DRIVERS DOOR LOCKS WITH FOB. MAIN PROBLEM DRIVERS REAR BLINKER-STOP LIGHT NOT WORKING REPLACED BULBS AND NOTHING. WHOLE UNIT DOESN'T WORK.
DRIVERS SIDE DOOR LOCK AND REAR VIEW MIRROR CONTROL DOES NOT WORK AT ALL. SEEMS TO BE THE WIRING THAT GOES THRU THE DOOR INTO THE BODY. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD. NOT POSSIBLE TO GET A PHOTO DUE TO THE COVERING OF THE WIRES CANNOT BE OPENED.
THIS CAR HAS AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE THAT NO-ONE CAN FIGURE IT OUT. IT KEEPS GIVING US ALL THESE ERROR CODES: P0430, P2305, P2311, P2317 AND P0430. WE HAD REPLACED ALL THE SPARKPLUGS, THE ELECTRIC COILS, BATTERY, STARTER, THE COMPUTER (PCM), IGNITION SWITCH, THE 02 SENSOR AND STILL THE CAR WILL NOT STAY ON AND SHAKES WHILE IS RUNNING.
BOTH REAR PASSENGER AND DRIVER SIDE WINDOW KEEP FAILING, THE WINDOW REGULATOR ASSEMBLY KEEPS GOING UP AND I HAD TO REPLACE THEM TWICE
JEEP WAS SHUT OFF AND IN PARK IN PARKING LOT WHEN FLAMES WERE SEEN COMING OUT FROM UNDER THE HOOD. BY THE TIME THE FIRE DEPT. ARRIVED, THE FIRE HAD STARTED TO BREACH THE FIREWALL IN THE FRONT OF THE JEEP.
WHILE CAR WAS PARK .BETWEEN THE DRIVER SIDE AND PASSENGER SIDE WHERE WINDOW CONTROL IS CAUGHT ON FIRE BURNING CAR TO A POINT WHERE FIRE DEPARTMENT OFFICIALS WERE HERE TO SHUT OFF.I HAVE PICTURES TO SHOW U BUT FILE TO BIG.I NEED SOMEONE TO CALL ME ASAP.

THE DEALER (PIEDMONT CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM AEV, 4015 CLEMSON BLVD, ANDERSON, SC 29621, (864) 332-4848) INDICATED THAT THE EXTENDED WARRANTY CAMPAIGN WAS EXPIRED AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NEED TO BE DIAGNOSED TO REPAIR THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT HAD TO TEMPORARILY WEDGE EACH OF THE FOUR WINDOWS TO ENSURE THAT THE WINDOWS WOULD NOT GO DOWN WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER ALSO INDICATED THAT THE EXTENDED WARRANTY CAMPAIGN EXPIRED AND THERE WAS NO RECALL TO PROVIDE A REMEDY. THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED TO HAVE A DEALER REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 178,000. *TT CONSUMER STATED THE WINDOWS WERE FALLING DOWN INSIDE THE DOOR. REPAIRS WERE MADE BY THE LOCAL SERVICE DEALER. *JB
LIGHTS FLICKER WHEN DRIVING AT NIGHT . TEMPORARY LOSS OF SIGHT OF THE ROAD . MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE . I SEE MULITPLE COMPLAINTS WITH NO FIXES , AND NO RECALL. ONLINE SHOWS DIFFERENT MODELS OTHER THAN JEEP LIBERTY WITH THE SAME ISSUE . I AM NOT SURE WHY THEY ARE NOT TAKING THIS SERIOUSLY . SOMEONE COULD DIE GET SERIOUSLY INJURED, ALSO YOU COULD RUN OVER SOMEONE OR ANIMAL WHEN THE BLINDNESS OCCURS IT HAS LAST SEVERAL MINUTES BEFORE THE LIGHTS COME BACK ON . TRY TO PULL OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WITH COMPLETE BLINDNESS VERY SCARY . THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME I DRIVE AT NIGHT . THE TIME INTERVALS BETWEEN THE FLICKERING VARIES. IF NOTHING IS DONE WHICH I HOPE IS NOT THE CASE IT HAS BEEN DOCUMENTED IN CASE I HAVE AN ACCIDENT DIE OR KILL SOMEONE.

I PURCHASED MY 2004 JEEP LIBERTY IN 2009 WITH 16K MILES ON IT. IN 2010 I HAD TO HAVE THE PASSENGER'S SIDE WINDOW REGULATOR REPLACED AT $200. IN 2011 THE BACK DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW HAD THE SAME ISSUE, BUT NOW THE REPAIR WAS QUOTED AT BEING AT LEAST $400. IN LATE 2016 THE BACK PASSENGER WINDOW DID THE SAME THING. THIS WEEK MARCH 2017 THE DRIVER'S SIDE FRONT WINDOW HAS DONE THE SAME THING AND NO LONGER STAYS UP. ALL OF THESE HAVE HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING EITHER ON A CITY STREET OR HIGHWAY WHILE MOVING.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 JEEP LIBERTY. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD A NOISE EMERGING FROM THE REAR DRIVER SIDE DOOR SIMILAR TO AN ENGINE RUNNING. THE CONTACT ARRIVED AT HER HOUSE AND NOTICED THAT THE REAR DRIVER SIDE WINDOW WAS DOWN. THE WINDOW MOTOR WOULD NOT BRING THE WINDOW BACK UP. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED FOR THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE WINDOW MOTOR LAST YEAR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AGAIN. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 87,000.
WHILE DRIVING TO WORK MY ENGINE JUST QUIT AS I WAS SHIFTING FROM 4TH TO 5TH GEAR. I COASTED OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY AND SAW SMOKE COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD. WHEN I LIFTED THE HOOD, THERE WERE FLAMES SHOOTING UP FROM EVERYWHERE! THE BIGGEST FLAMES WERE NEAR THE SIDE OF THE BATTERY, BUT NOT ON THE BATTERY SO I SHUT THE HOOD AND MOVED AWAY FROM THE VEHICLE. WITHIN THE 5 MINUTES IT TOOK THE FIRE DEPARTMENT TO ARRIVE, IT WAS COMPLETELY BURNED UP, INCLUDING THE FRONT PANEL INSIDE THE JEEP. ANY PART OF THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE THAT WAS NOT METAL, WAS GONE... BURNT!! AS OF THIS TIME, IT IS STILL UNKNOWN TO ME WHAT CAUSED THE FIRE BUT CHRYSLER SENT AN INVESTIGATOR OUT TO VIEW THE VEHICLE AND SENT ME A LETTER STATING THEY WOULD NOT BE DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT. I BELIEVE IT WAS A WIRING PROBLEM AND HAVE NEVER HAD ANYONE WORK ON ANY OF THE WIRING SINCE I PURCHASED THE JEEP IN 2010. I HAVE NO INVOICES TO SHOW REPAIRS( AS VEHICLE IS TOTALED BEYOND REPAIR), INSURANCE( IT DID NOT COVER A NON COLLISION FIRE) OR ETC... JUST PICTURES AND A FIRE REPORT, IF YOU WANT THOSE.
WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE THE ENGINE CUT OFF. AFTER TOWING CAR TO DEALERSHIP, THE PROBLEM WAS DIAGNOSED IGNITION DEFECT AND THE IGNITION WAS REBUILT.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,870.
MY REMOTE FAILED TO LOCK OR UNLOCK THE DOORS, AND LIFTGATE DOOR. THE DOORS HAD TO BE LOCKED MANUALLY. THE LIFTGATE WINDOW WOULD NOT CLOSE AT ALL. REMOTE BATTERIES WERE REPLACED . HOWEVER, IT STILL WOULD NOT LOCK OR UNLOCK THE DOORS AND LIFTGATE. WHEN I PRESSED THE UNLOCK BUTTON ON THE REMOTE, THE EMERGENCY FLASHERS CAME ON.
ON TUESDAY, AUGUST 25, 2015, I WAS ON MY WAY TO A WORKSHOP FOR MY JOB ON ROUTE 73 IN BERLIN, NEW JERSEY. I HAD STOPPED AT A LIGHT. WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN, I PROCEEDED TO GO. THE CAR STALLED OUT ALL THE LIGHTS ON THE DASH BOARD BLINKED ON AND OFF AND THE CAR SHUT COMPLETELY OFF. THEN WHITE SMOKE CAME OUT FROM UNDER THE HOOD. SO AS I WAS SITTING CONTEMPLATING WHAT TO DO NEXT. I LOOKED UP AND THE DRIVER IN THE CAR NEXT TO ME STARTED YELLING THAT THERE WAS FIRE UNDERNEATH THE CAR. I IMMEDIATELY EXITED THE CAR AND CROSSED THE STREET ON A BUSY HIGHWAY. WHEN I REACHED THE OTHER SIDE OF THE STREET. PITCH BLACK SMOKE ALONG WITH RED FLAMES BILLOWED OUT FROM UNDER THE HOOD. AFIRE RESCUE TRUCK ARRIVE AND IMMEDIATELY USED A FIRE EXTINGUISHER TO DOUSE THE FIRE. THEN, THE FIRE TRUCKS AND POLICE CAME TO FOLLOW UP. THE FIREMAN LIFT THE HOOD UP AND ALLOWED ME TO VIEW THE DAMAGE. THE BATTERY ALONG WITH OTHER ITEMS ON THE ENGINE WAS MELTED LIKE CANDLE WAX. THE CAR WAS TOWED AWAY, HOWEVER AS THE CAR WAS PLACED ON THE FLATBED OF THE TRUCK, MY TRUCK STARTED SMOKING AND FLAMES WERE SHOOTING FROM UNDER THE CAR. CAR HAS BEEN DECLARED TOTALED. THAT WAS A VERY SAD DAY FOR ME.

THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 148,000.
