TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 JEEP LIBERTY. WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO SPUTTER AND STALLED AS THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE INCREASED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE VEHICLE HAD LOST ALL ITS OIL AND WATER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT SPOKE WITH AUTOWORLD DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM (1370 AUTO CENTER DR, PETALUMA, CA 94952) WHO STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 180,000.
LOWER BALL JOINT ON BOTH SIDES OF VEHICLE HAVE BROKEN, AFTER THEY WERE REPORTED TO HAVE BEEN REPLACED UNDER A PREVIOUS RECALL. THE BREAK CAUSED DAMAGE ALSO TO THE TIRES AND CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO LOSE CONTROL OF THE STEERING. VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION WHEN THE FAILURE OCCURRED
CONSTANT GRINDING, SQUEAKING WITH MOVEMENT OF STEERING WHEEL, WAS TOLD IT WAS BALL JOINT AND ARM, ALSO THERE WAS A RECALL ABOUT THIS...HAPPENS WHEN DRIVING.....WAS THERE A RECALL REGARDING THIS?
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 JEEP LIBERTY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER REVERSING IN A PARKING SPACE, THE EMERGENCY PARKING BRAKE WAS ENGAGED AND HE EXITED THE VEHICLE. A FEW MINUTES LATER, THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED AND LEFT UNATTENDED WITH THE A/C ACTIVATED. UPON RETURN, THE VEHICLE EXPLODED AND CAUGHT ON FIRE. IT WAS UNKNOWN IF A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THERE WERE NO INJURES REPORTED. IT WAS UNKNOWN IF THE DEALER OR MANUFACTURER WERE CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE. *TT *JS
EVERY TIME THE VEHICLE IS REFUELED, IT DOES NOT SHUT OFF AS IT SHOULD AND GAS POURS OUT AND ALL OVER THE GROUND AND DOWN THE SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. SEVERAL TIMES IT HAS BEEN SO BAD THAT EMPLOYEES OF THE GAS STATION HAD TO INTERVENE. THIS IS A FIRE HAZARD, AS WELL AS A ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEM.
REAR POWER WINDOWS JUST FELL TO THE BOTTOM AND THEY WON'T GO UP ANYMORE
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 JEEP LIBERTY. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, THE DRIVER SUDDENLY LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. UPON INSPECTION, IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE REAR SUSPENSION LOWER CONTROL ARM FRACTURED DUE TO SEVERE RUSTING AND CORROSION. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 12V085000 (SUSPENSION). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED THE SAME FAILURE LISTED IN THE RECALL. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 110,000.
DRIVE AT 65 MILES PER HOUR ON THE FREEWAY IN CALIFORNIA, A LOUD NOISE LIKE SOMETHING HAD FALLEN OUT OF THE BOTTOM OF THE CAR. CAR BECAME BARELY CONTROLLABLE. WAS ABLE TO VEER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WITH SMOKE SPEWING FROM THE PASSENGER FRONT WHEEL. WHEN TOW TRUCK ARRIVED STATED THAT THE LOWER BALL JOINT AND CONTROL ARM WERE TERRIBLY CORRODED AND HAD SNAPPED. A MECHANIC LOOKING FOR PARTS MENTIONED THAT IT HAD BEEN PREVIOUSLY RECALLED. A CHECK OF THE VIN INDICATED THE PROBLEM HAD BEEN NOTED FOR RECALL IN 2006, THIS PARTICULAR VIN HAD BEEN REPAIRED IN 2012. CALLED CHRYSLER, THEY SAID THEY COULD SIMPLY ARRANGE FOR AN APPOINTMENT BUT THAT IT WOULD BE UP TO THE DEALER TO DECIDE WHETHER OR NOT I WOULD BE CHARGED FOR REPAIRS. AT THIS TIME TRYING TO DECIDE ON NEXT STEP.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 JEEP LIBERTY. WHILE TURNING INTO A DRIVEWAY AT APPROXIMATELY 2 MPH, THE REAR CONTROL ARM FRACTURED IN TWO WITHOUT WARNING. THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED (OVERLAND PARK DODGE/JEEP) AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 JEEP LIBERTY. WHILE DRIVING 21 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD AN ABNORMAL CLUNKING NOISE AND THE STEERING FAILED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A LOCAL DEALER (HILL-KELLY DODGE, CHRYSLER, JEEP, RAM LOCATED AT 6171 PENSACOLA BLVD PENSACOLA, FL 32505) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE LOWER BALL JOINT AND LOWER SUSPENSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE, BUT DID NOT OFFER ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 156,623.
FUEL SPILLS FROM TANK DURING FILL UP. I BOUGHT THIS CAR USED AND THE PAINT IS DAMAGED FROM THE PREVIOUS SPILLS THAT HAVE OCCURRED. IT IS EVIDENT THIS HAS BEEN A LONG STANDING ISSUE WITH THIS VEHICLE.

UPON INSPECTION, THE CONTACT FOUND THAT THE REAR CONTROL ARMS WERE SEVERELY CORRODED. THE AUTONATION CHRYSLER DODGE DEALER WAS CONTACTED AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA AND THE MANUFACTURER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 12V085000 (SUSPENSION), BUT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 280,000.
BACKED DOWN DRIVEWAY STARTED ON STREET AND NOTICED I WAS TURNING ONE WAY AND REARED WAS GOING THE OTHER DIRECTION. IMMEDIATELY DROVE VERY SLOWLY HOME. LOOKED UNDERNEATH AND SAW TRAILING ARM PARTIALLY SNAPPED
WHEN FUELING VEHICLE AS IT FINISHES FILLING THE GAS TANK IT WILL SPEW GAS OUT AND OVER THE SIDE OF THE VEHICLE.
THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FAILS FROM WINTER TO SUMMER CAUSING MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION TO THE COMPUTER, THE AUTO CAN OVERHEAT, IT CAN ALSO CLEAR DOWN AND OPEN FAILURE OF GASOLINE. THE BALL JOINTS FAIL TRULY. IT HAPPENED TO ME IN THREE OCCASIONS WHEN I CIRCULATED BY THE CITY WHEN CROSSING ON A STREET, WHILE PASSING A TUMBLE, AND ON A TERRACE STREET. THE FRONT BRAKE SYSTEM BREAKS CAUSING BRAKE LIQUID LEAKS THIS IS CAUSED BY THE WARMING OF PARTS AND DIRT. I SAW THE STAIN IN THE SOIL WHEN I PARK IN MY GARAGE AND CHECK.
WHEN FUELING, THE GAS TANK SENSOR FAILS AND CAUSES THE GAS PUMP TO NOT AUTOMATICALLY STOP AND GAS OVERFLOWS. LUCKILY I WAS NOT STANDING TOO CLOSE WHEN THIS HAPPENED. ALSO,UPON STOPPING AND IGNITION IS OFF THE SEATBELT ON THE DRIVERS SIDE DOES NOT RETRACT AFTER UNLATCHING AND WHEN GETTING OUT OF THE CAR THE SEATBELT GETS STUCK IN THE DOOR.
TAKATA RECALL: WHILE DRIVING, ESPECIALLY UPHILL OR AT HIGH SPEEDS (SUCH AS THE INTERSTATE) THE VEHICLE WILL SPUTTER AND SHAKE AND LOSE HORSEPOWER (THIS ESPECIALLY HAPPENS DURING WARM WEATHER). WHEN THIS HAPPENS, THE ODOMETER DROPS, AND YOU CANNOT GET THE SPEED TO INCREASE, WHICH IS A TERRIFYING EXPERIENCE WHEN YOU'RE TRAVELLING ON THE INTERSTATE WITH CARS GOING 70+ MPH BEHIND YOU AND YOU HAVE TRACTOR TRAILERS BESIDE YOU. I'VE TAKEN MY JEEP TO 3+ GARAGES TO REMEDY THE ISSUE, AND THEY'RE ALL LEFT SCRATCHING THEIR HEADS BECAUSE THE SYSTEM HAS WIPED EVERY CODE THAT WAS THROWN, AND EVERYTHING THEY TRY DOES NOT HELP MATTERS - NONE OF THEM KNOW WHAT TO DO ASIDE FROM GUESSING AND REPLACING PARTS. THE LAST GARAGE I WENT TO RESEARCHED THE ISSUE, AS DID I, AND THERE ARE COUNTLESS FORUMS WITH THESE COMPLAINTS ABOUT JEEPS. FURTHERMORE, A LOT GO ON TO SAY THEY REPLACED THIS, THAT, AND THE OTHER AND THE PROBLEM GOES AWAY FOR A SMALL AMOUNT OF TIME BEFORE STARTING UP AGAIN, AND THEY AND THEIR MECHANICS ARE ALSO AT A LOSS. THIS HAS BEEN ABOUT 2 YEARS OF RESEARCHING, GARAGE WORK, AND AN INABILITY TO TAKE THE VEHICLE LONG DISTANCES OR HIGH SPEEDS. ONE POST I READ EVEN SAID IT COULD BE A SERIOUS FIRE HAZARD WHICH IS DANGEROUS FOR THOSE IN THE VEHICLE AND THOSE ON THE ROADWAY.
VEHICLE SPUN OUT ON SNOWY ROAD AND SLID OFF THE ROAD AT A ~120 ANGLE TO DIRECTION OF TRAVEL (LEFT ROAD FACING RIGHT AND BACKWARDS) AT AROUND 45MPH. STRUCK A SIGNPOST IN THE DRIVER'S DOOR, THEN ROLLED OVER ONCE DOWN A ~30 EMBANKMENT TO LAND BACK ON WHEELS. SIDE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. DRIVER SUFFERED FRACTURED CLAVICLE.
WINDOW FELL INTO DOOR AND IS PREVENTING THE DOOR FROM OPENING. BROKE WINDOW REGULATOR LIKE SO MANY OTHER PEOPLE HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT. MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING THE CAR AND SAID THE WINDOW JUST FELL. I HAVE THE WINDOW UP WITH A WEDGE TO KEEP IT FROM FALLING AGAIN. LUCKILY THE WINDOW DID NOT BREAK.
THE WINDOWS FELL INTO THE DOOR WHEN ROLING DOWN THE DRIVERS REAR WINDOW. THIS IS THE 4TH TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED AND NOT JUST THIS WINDOW. I HAVE REPLACED 3 WINDOW REGULATORS AND 2 WINDOWS. THE PLASTIC COMPONENT HOLDING THE WINDOW IN PLACE HAS A TINY MEATAL CLIP TO HOLD A BALL JOINT TO THE WINDOW AND ITS NOT STRONG ENOUGH TO HOLD THE WINDOW IN PLACE. FOR A VEHICLE DESIGNED FOR OFF ROADING I CANT SEE HOW THIS IS GOOD. THE LAST TIME THIS OCCURED WAS DURING A RAIN STORM AND MY 6 YR OLD GOT SOAKED WHEN IT FELL. JUST GLAD THE WINDOW DIDNT SHATTER THIS TIME. I ALMOST LOST CONTROL WHEN THIS HAPPENED AND HAD TO FIND A PLACE TO PULL OVER TO HELP HIM.
MY DRIVERS SIDE BALL JOINT HAS BROKEN WHILE I WAS DRIVING TWICE ! LAST TIME IT CAUSED BODY DAMAGE. I REPLACED IT ONCE AND THEN A RECALL REPLACED IT AND NOW IT BROKE AGAIN !
HEARD A SCRAPING NOISE WHEN BACKING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY. SHIFTED TO DRIVE TO RETURN TO DRIVEWAY AND NOISE SOUNDED LOUDER. IT SOUNDED LIKE A STICK OR SOMETHING SIMILAR WAS DRAGGING UNDER THE VEHICLE. I LOOKED UNDER AND SAW THAT A PORTION OF THE FRAME WHERE THE REAR LOWER CONTROL LINK WAS ATTACHED HAD RUSTED AND TORN LOOSE CAUSING THE REAR AXLE TO SHIFT TO THE REAR. THIS WAS AT THE PASSENGER SIDE, REAR. THE REAR CONTROL LINKS HAD PREVIOUSLY BEEN REPLACED UNDER RECALL BUT NO MENTION WAS MADE OF ANY OBSERVED FRAME RUST. I INSPECTED THE DRIVER'S SIDE AND SAW THAT A FAILURE IS BEGINNING THERE ALSO. THE VEHICLE IS NOT DRIVEABLE.
MANUAL TRANSMISSION REVERSE POPS OUT OF GEAR. SUNROOF BLEW OFF AND WHIPPED BEHIND INTO TRAFFIC WHILE DRIVING TO WORK ON HIGHWAY 1 AT 55MPH.
REAR CONTROL ARMS RUSTED AND ONE BROKE COMPLETELY IN TWO SENDING ME INTO THE ONCOMING LANE. LUCKILY I WAS ON A CITY STREET WITH A LOW MPH AND I WAS TRAVELING STRAIGHT WHEN IT BROKE. CHRYSLER TELLS ME THERE IS A RECALL BUT MY VEHICLE IS NOT FROM ONE OF THE STATES AFFECTED BY THE RECALL.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 JEEP LIBERTY. WHILE THE CONTACT'S EX-SPOUSE WAS DRIVING 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE BECAME UNCONTROLLABLE. THE VEHICLE SWERVED TO THE LEFT AND RIGHT ACROSS THE ROADWAY. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO CONTROL THE VEHICLE, VEERED OFF THE ROAD, AND CRASHED INTO A DITCH. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED BRUISES TO THE CHEST CAUSED BY THE SEAT BELT. THE DRIVER DID NOT SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. UPON INSPECTING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE LOWER A-ARM ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SUSPENSION WAS FRACTURED, INCLUDING THE LOWER SHOCK TOWER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 06V288000 (SUSPENSION). THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED PER THE RECALL PRIOR TO THE CRASH. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 153,480.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 JEEP LIBERTY. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION, THE HORN SOUNDED NUMEROUS TIMES WITHOUT WARNING AND WOULD NOT STOP. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC DISCONNECTED THE HORN. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TIPM WAS CAUSING THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 261,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO BE PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. MY SON NOTICED THE REAR DRIVERS TIRE NOT FEELING GOOD AS HE TRAVELED ON I-80 OUTSIDE OF LINCOLN, NE. HE STARTED LOOSING CONTROL AND EVENTUALLY LOST CONTROL, THE CAR ROLLED SEVERAL TIMES AND CAME TO REST UPSIDE DOWN. HE WAS STILL BUCKLED IN THE SEAT. AFTER LOOKING OVER THE CAR, THE REAR TIRES WERE BROKEN OFF THE CAR. THE LUG NUTS STILL ATTACHED TO THE TIRE. HE THINKS THE DRIVERS REAR TIRE CAME OFF FIRST AND THAT WAS WHAT STARTED THE CAR OUT OF CONTROL. THE OTHER REAR TIRE WAS ALSO OFF AFTER HE CAME TO REST SO HE IS NOT SURE WHEN THAT CAME OFF DURING THE CRASH. THE CAR IS A TOTAL LOSS. GEICO IS INVESTIGATING THE CAR TO SEE IF THEY CAN DETERMINE WHAT TOOK PLACE. THIS JUST HAPPENED ON 12/16/2016.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 JEEP LIBERTY. AFTER PLACING FUEL IN THE VEHICLE, FUEL SPILLED OUT. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL TANK NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 31,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 JEEP LIBERTY. WHILE MAKING A LEFT TURN INTO THE DRIVEWAY, ANOTHER VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE. THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE TURNED 360 DEGREES. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY AND THE SEAT BELTS FAILED TO RESTRAIN. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED A CHEST INJURY, AND THE PASSENGER SUSTAINED AN EYE AND TOOTH INJURY. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS RECEIVED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A TOW LOT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 150,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
WINDOW REGULATOR FAILING. TWO WINDOW REGULATORS HAVE FAILED SO FAR. FOR THE FIRST TIME, THE REAR PASSENGER WINDOW FELL WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AND I WAS CLOSING IT WHEN A LARGE SNAP WAS HEARD AND IT FELL INTO THE DOOR. THE SECOND TIME, THE REAR DRIVER WINDOW FELL. I DID NOT NOTICE WHEN IT FELL, BUT WHEN I WENT TO DRIVE ONE MORNING IT WAS HALFWAY DOWN. I THOUGHT I JUST FORGOT TO ROLL IT UP, BUT APPARENTLY THAT ONE FAILED AS WELL AND GOT STUCK HALFWAY DOWN. IN BOTH CASES THE CAR WAS STATIONARY ON A DRIVEWAY, THEN A PARKING LOT. LUCKILY NOTHING WAS STOLEN OR DAMAGED INSIDE. THE FIRST INCIDENT WAS ON JUNE 2016, THE SECOND TIME OCTOBER 20 2016
LOWER FRONT RIGHT BALL JOINT SNAPPED WHILE I WAS DRIVING. CALLED JEEP AND THEY SAID IT WAS RECALLED AND REPLACED. I ASKED FOR A LOCATION AND A SERVICE ORDER AND THE WOULD NOT GIVE IT TO ME. THEY KEEP TELLING ME TO TAKE IT TO THE JEEP DEALER WHICH I CANT BECAUSE IT IS BROKE. THESE BALL JOINTS WHERE RECALLED FOR BREAKING. NOW FOR A SECOND TIME IT BROKE AND I CANT GET ANY PROOF THAT IT WAS EVER REPLACED
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 JEEP LIBERTY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DRIVER SIDE SEAT BELT UNLATCHED INDEPENDENTLY WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN OPERATION. THE FAILURE WAS PERSISTENT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 98,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
MY GAS OVERFLOW EVERY TIME I FILL UP MY TANK. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR A FEW YEARS AND I CONTACTED JEEP AND WAS TOLD THEY WOULD NOT DO ANYTHING. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD AND COULD CAUSE A FIRE AND SOMETHING SHOULD BE DONE I HAVE SPOKEN TO SEVERAL JEEP OWNERS WITH THIS MODEL AND THEY ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM.
IT'S RUSTING UNDER MY JEEP, THE BRAKES AND BRAKE LINES ARE RUSTING AT AN ALARMING RATE AND THE UNDERCARRIAGE IS RUSTING FAST. I WAS DRIVING WHEN MY RUSTY BRAKE LINE BROKE. .I I AM STILL PAYING FOR THIS JEEP. AND I HEARD OF THE GAS TANK HAVING PROBLEMS.

I MISSED THE RECALL BY ONE YEAR AND MY WINDOW REGULATORS JUST CONTINUE TO BREAK. IT IS DISCRIMINATION. YOUR CAR CAN BE PARKED AND YOU WALK OUT AND SEE THE WINDOW DOWN. JUST CHECK THE INTERNET THERE ARE ARTICLES ALL OVER ABOUT BROKEN WINDOW REGULATORS. I UNDERSTAND THEY ONLY RECALLED 2006 AND 2007 WHAT ABOUT 2002-2005 WHICH WERE BAD FIRST. ON TOP OF THAT THEY REPLACE THEM WITH THE SAME DEFECTIVE WINDOW REGULATORS SO THEY WILL BREAK AGAIN AND AGAIN. THAT WAY THE DEALERS CAN CONTINUE TO MAKE MONEY ON YOU. THE GARAGE TOLD ME THAT THE TRANSMISSION IN MY CAR WAS USED FOR ONE YEAR ON ONE MODEL AND I BELIEVE IT BECAUSE THEY HAVE TRIED ALL OVER FOR A TRANSMISSION AND CANNOT GET THE RIGHT ONE. THEY HAVE HAD THREE SENT IN AND ALL THREE WERE WRONG. THIS JUST CONFIRMS THAT THE TRANSMISSION WAS DEFECTIVE AND THEY STOP USING IT. PLUS A TRANSMISSION SHOULD LAST FAR LONGER THAN 120,000 MILES. I READ ALL THE TIME THAT TODAY CARS ARE GOOD FOR 200,000 MILES OR MORE. I HAVE CONTACTED CHRYSLER OVER THE YEARS ABOUT WINDOW REGULATORS AND THEY DON'T CARE. YOUR CAR IS NEVER SECURE WHEN A WINDOW WILL DROP WITHOUT WARNING. TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: I HAVE A JEEP LIBERTY AND I CANNOT DRIVE IT AND I CANNOT GET IT FIXED. IT HAS BEEN OUT OF SERVICE FOR MONTHS. IT WAS TOWED TO MY LOCAL MECHANIC. HE TRIED TO GET A TRANSMISSION SEVERAL TIMES BUT THEY WERE NEVER THE CORRECT ONE. WITH THE INFORMATION PROVIDED BY MY MECHANIC AND MY RESEARCH IT APPEARS JEEP PUT THE WRONG TRANSMISSION IN MY JEEP LIBERTY WHICH EXPLAINS WHY I CANNOT FIND ONE TO MATCH. JEEP USED THE 42RLE TRANSMISSION FROM 2003-2013. THE 42RLE TRANSMISSION HAS 4 CONNECTORS AND A STRAIGHT CROSS MEMBER. MY TRANSMISSION DOES NOT HAVE 4 CONNECTORS AND IT DOES NOT HAVE A STRAIGHT CROSS MEMBER. THEREIN LIES THE PROBLEM JEEP PUT THE WRONG TRANSMISSION IN MY JEEP. ALSO, JEEP RECOMMENDS PUTTING A TRANSMISSION COOLER ON THE VEHICLE. WHY WASN'T THIS DONE WHEN IT WAS FIRST MANUFACTURED. THE FACT THAT THE WRONG TRANSMISSION WAS USED AND THEY DID NOT INSTALL A TRANSMISSION COOLER HELPS TO EXPLAIN WHY I HAVE TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS. TO ME THIS IS FRAUD. I DID NOT RECEIVE WHAT I PAID FOR. I CHECKED WITH A JEEP DEALER AND THE SERVICE MANAGER SAID THE 2005 JEEP LIBERTY DID NOT COME EQUIPPED WITH A TRANSMISSION COOLER. ANOTHER JEEP DEALER PROVIDED ME WITH A RECOMMENDED LIST OF PARTS TO REPAIR THE PROBLEM SIGHT UNSEEN AND IT INCLUDED A TRANSMISSION COOLER THAT WAS NOT INSTALLED ORIGINALLY. CHRYSLER IS OFFERING A NEW LIFETIME POWERTRAIN WARRANTY ON 2006-2009 MODELS THAT INCLUDES REPLACING POWERTRAIN COMPONENTS: ENGINE, TRANSMISSION AND DRIVE SYSTEM INCLUDING PARTS AND LABOR OR THEY WILL BUY YOUR VEHICLE BACK. POWER WINDOW REGULATOR FAILURE. HEADED TO OUR SON'S COLLEGE GRADUATION DRIVING DOWN I-75 SOUTH OF ATLANTA, GA AND THE REAR PASSENGER WINDOW JUST DROPPED INTO THE DOOR. HAD TO STOP TO BORROW A COAT HANGER TO GET THE WINDOW BACK UP THEN BUY DUCT TAPE TO HOLD IT IN PLACE. WAS NEARLY LATE FOR THE GRADUATION CEREMONY. WILL HAVE TO TAKE TIME OFF FROM WORK TO TAKE THE CAR IN FOR REPAIR.
FUEL OVERFLOWS GAS TANK EVERY TIME VEHICLE IS FILLED WITH FUEL

UPON INSPECTION, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE AXLE ASSEMBLY AND BALL JOINT DETACHED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE FRONT AXLE AND BALL JOINT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE BALL JOINT AND AXLE WERE FAULTY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
EVERY TIME THE GAS TANK IS FILLED, GASOLINE OVERFLOWS BEFORE THE AUTOMATIC FUELING NOZZLE SHUTOFF ACTIVATES. FUEL RUNS DOWN THE SIDE OF THE VEHICLE AND ONTO THE GROUND.
MY REAR LOWER CONTROL ARM HAS EROSION FROM EXCESSIVE SALT, TO WHERE IT IS BROKEN ALMOST IN HALF, AND THERE IS ALREADY A RECALL FOR THIS L27 HOW EVER THIS IS STATE SPECIFIC AND KANSAS ISN'T INCLUDED IN THIS. I AM NOT SURE WHY KANSAS IS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS RECALL WHEN WE HAVE SNOW AND THE ROADS ARE SALTED JUST AS MUCH AS SOME OF THE OTHER STATES INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO A DEALERSHIP FOR DIAGNOSIS AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY HAVE REPAIRED THIS ON CARS UNDER THE RECALL AND WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO MY CAR IS EXACTLY WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO CARS THEY HAVE REPAIRED. FOR THIS NOT TO BE INCLUDED IS RIDICULOUS AND A SAFETY HAZARDOUS, AND COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT WHILE DRIVING IF THIS WAS TO BREAK COMPLETELY.
