WHEN TURNING ON CAR ALL WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON AND THEN EACH ONE STARTED FLICKERING ONE BY ONE. THEN MY TRANSMISSION LIGHT AND WARNING MESSAGE CAME ON. CAR WOULD START BUT LOCKED ITSELF AND COULDN'T SHIFT GEARS . I TRIED UNLOCKING IT AND SHIFTED TO REVERSE IT WOULD NOT ACCELERATE AND WOULD GET STUCK IN THAT GEAR SO HAD TO MANUALLY UNLOCK AND SHIFT TO DRIVE AND COULDN'T ACCELERATE. COULDN'T TURNED IT OFF GEAR SHIFT WOULD LOCK ITSELF. HAPPENED WHILE HEADING BACK HOME. SO I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND SAW THE RECALL FOR TRANSMISSION. THEY ENDED UP DOING SOMETHING ELSE THAT I DIDN'T SAY YES TO NOW THEY ARE CHARGING ME FOR IT AND WHILE MY CAR WAS GETTING REPAIRED. THEY GAVE ME A LOANER CAR, I GET IN CAR ACCIDENT IN THEIR LOANER CAR I HAD INSURANCE BUT ONLY LIABILITY. DEALERSHIP WON'T GIVE MY CAR BACK UNTIL I PAY IN CASH A DEDUCTIBLE OF 2,500 AND PLUS REPAIRS I DIDN'T AGREE TO.
CAR STALLS WHILE DRIVING. ALL LIGHTS FLASH ON DASHBOARD FLASH. SHIFTER FROZE.
IF YOU HAVE SMALL CHILDREN DO NOT LOAD THEM IN THIS JEEP! WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A DEAD STOP WILL STRUGGLE TO GET UP TO SPEED AND SOUNDED LIKE I WAS REAR ENDED AT A HIGH SPEED. I GOT OUT OF THE JEEP TO SEE IF SOMETHING FELL OFF. TRANSMISSION SOUNDS AND FEELS LIKE ITS SLIPPING. NOT EVERY TIME BUT IT HAPPENS SO OFTEN IT HAS MADE ME FEEL UNSAFE AND I DO NOT GO OUT OF TOWN OR LONG TRIPS OVER 45 MILES AWAY FROM HOME. . EVERY TIME I TAKE IT TO THE SHOP AND ASK WHATS GOING ON THEY SAY ITS HOW THE JEEP RENEGADE WAS MADE, ITS NORMAL FOR IT TO DO ALL THIS.
GOT INTO JEEP TO GO HOME FROM WORK AND I LOOK DOWN THE SCREEN IS TELLING ME MY LEFT SIGNAL, PARKING LIGHT AND BRAKE LIGHT IS OUT. THE NEXT DAY IT WAS WORKING FINE. A FEW DAYS AFTER THAT IT DID IT AGAIN WILL I WAS DRIVING THIS TIME THE LITTLE LIGHT ON THE BOTTOM RIGHT CORNER OF THE SCREEN POPPED ON AND CAUGHT MY ATTENTION,SO I CHANGED ALL THE BULBS AND STILL NOTHING SO I CHECK FUSE IT'S GOOD. TAKE TO SHOP AND FIND OUT THE CONNECTOR SHORTED OUT AND THE WIRES WERE CORRODED. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE HAD I NOT BEEN PAYING ATTENTION AND HAD MY HUSBAND DOUBLE CHECK AND MAKE SURE IT WASN'T WORKING I MAY HAVE NEVER FOUND THIS PROBLEM. THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED WAS TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 3RD AND THE SECOND TIME WAS THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 5TH
THE IGNITION WHEN TURNED OFF WILL NOT RELEASE THE KEY. PUSHING IN THEN OUT DOES NOT RELEASE. PULLING ONLY DOES NOT RELEASE. CAR MUST BE TURNED ON/OFF SEVERAL TIMES AND YOU WILL EVENTUALLY GET LUCKY. ADDITIONALLY, WHEN TRYING TO START VEHICLE, KEY WILL OFTEN NOT TURN IN THE IGNITION DESPITE WHEEL NOT BEING LOCKED. AGAIN, MUST PUT IN PULL OUT REPEATEDLY AND TURN WHEEL, WHICH IS DIFFICULT WHEN CAR IS OFF, AND EVENTUALLY GET LUCKY.
THIS JEEP WITH APPROXIMATELY COUPLE MONTHS OF PURCHASE THE WHOLE COMPUTER SYSTEM WENT BLANK AND HAD TO BE REPLACED. THERE WAS ALSO A RECALL FOR SOME PART.THEN THEN THE BATTERY AND SOME OTHER PART HAD TO BE REPLACED. SOON AFTER THE ENGINE MOUNT. THEN THE VEHICLE OVERHEATED AND HAD TO BE TOWED TO THE DEALER. NOW AGAIN THE COOLANT SYSTEM IS OVER HEATING AGAIN, TOOK IT TO PEP BOYS AND THEY CAN'T SEEM TO DETECT THE PROBLEM I AM TAKING IT TO THE DEALER TOMORROW. BUT WE RECEIVED A LETTER OVER A YEAR AGO STATING THAT THIS MODEL OF VEHICLE IS BACK IN WARRANTY SINCE THERE SEEM TO BE A PROBLEM WITH THOSE VEHICLE. NOW I HOPE I CAN GET THIS LETTER TO TAKE TO THE DEALER. THIS HAPPENS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION.
I AM ON THE FREEWAY IN TRAFFIC AT A FULL STOP, AND THE CAR DOESN'T TURN OFF, BUT IT WON'T MOVE WHEN YOU PUT YOUR FOOT ON THE GAS. MAKES NO NOISE LIKE IT IS OFF. HAVE TO PUT IN PARK AND RESTART THE CAR. IT HAS DONE THIS 3 TIMES SINCE I HAVE HAD THE CAR.
2015 JEEP RENEGADE LIMITED 4X4 HAS STALLED WHILE DRIVING ON 3 SEPARATE OCCASIONS SINCE PURCHASING IT USED FROM DEALERSHIP IN JANUARY 2019. IT STALLS WHILE IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC WITHOUT ANY WARNING. I HAVE TO PUT IN PARK, PUSH THE START BUTTON TO TURN IT OFF, AND THEN PUSH THE BUTTON AGAIN WITH FOOT ON BREAK TO START IT AGAIN. THANKFULLY THIS HAS ONLY HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING SLOWLY (10-15 MPH) IN A LINE OF CARS TOWARDS A STOP SIGN HOWEVER THIS IS EXTREMELY UNSAFE!
MY ETC LIGHT CAME ON TODAY AS I WAS BACKING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY AS WELL AS MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND WHEN I TURNED IT BACK ON, BOTH LIGHTS RETURNED. ABOUT A MONTH AGO, I FINALLY RECEIVED MY RECALLS FOR MY FAN TO BE REPLACED THE DAY AFTER I FIXED IT. IS THIS ANOTHER RECALL THAT I WASN'T MADE AWARE OF?
"TAKATA RECALL". MY KEY KEEP GETTING STUCK IN IGNITION AND MY JEEP WILL NOT GO INTO ANY GEAR. IT WILL SOMETIME CRANK, BUT IT TAKE FOREVER TO GET THE KEY OUT. MY JEEP IS STILL NEW AND IT IS MY OWN MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION. IT IS AT 40 THOUSANDS MILE. .NO MATTER WHAT I DO I CAN NOT GET IT TO LEAVE OUT OF PARK.
I GOT UP TO GET READY TO GO TO CHOIR REHEARSAL MY JEEP WOULD NOT CRANK, AND THE KEY WAS STUCK IN THE SWITCH, IT TOOK ALMOST 30 MINUTES TO GET THE KEY OUT, FINALLY THE JEEP CRANKED BUT I COULD NOT GET THE GEAR TO GO INTO REVERSE, DRIVE OR NOTHING, AND ON THE DASH BOARD WHERE IT TELLS YOU HOW MANY MILES YOU HAVE ON THE AUTOMOBILE IT WAS BLINKING AND ALSO ON THE DASH BOARD IT SAY SERVICE TRANSMISSION.. I HAVE READ ON YOUR SITE AS I WAS SEARCHING TO FIND OUT WHY THIS IS HAPPENING, SO MANY OF THESE JEEP SEEM TO DO THIS WHEN THEY REACH 40 THOUSAND MILES. I AM GRATEFUL THAT I WAS NOT ON THE ROAD BECAUSE THE DAY BEFORE THIS HAPPEN THE JEEP SEEM TO HAVE LOST SPEED IFOR A BRIEF MOMENT, THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS SOMETHING NEED TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS.
THE ENGINE OVER HEATS AT HIGH SPEED FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME SAY 70 TO 80 MPH OR GOING UP GRADES AT SPEED OR PULLING A SMALL TRAILER. I HAVE HAD THE JEEP CHECKED SEVERAL TIMES AT THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAY EVERYTHING IS FINE BUT THIS IS DANGEROUS TO SAY THE LEAST ESPECIALLY IN HEAVY TRAFFIC. MECHANIC SAID THIS IS A NORMAL COMPLAINT ON THIS MODEL JEEP! THIS HAS BEEN A CONSTANT PROBLEM SINCE I BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE NEW!!!! NO PHOTOS ARE NECESSARY! THIS DATE IS JUST THE LAST TIME IT HAS STALLED BUT I WAS WITH MY WIFE IN HEAVY TRAFFIC WHICH CONCERNED ME! FOR HER SAFETY!!
DRIVER WAS GOING 70MPH WHEN FRONT LEFT TREAD COMPLETELY SEPARATED FROM TIRE CAUSING DAMAGE TO DRIVER SIDE OF VEHICLE.
CAR WILL FAIL SPORADICALLY TO ACCELERATE WHILE TRYING TO MERGE INTO TRAFFIC I WAS ALMOST HIT BY OTHER VEHICLES MORE THAN ONCE I'VE TALKED TO OTHERS WITH THE SAME CAR AND ALL OF THEM DESCRIBED THE SAME EXACT EXPERIENCE IT'S ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE SOMEONE IS KILLED.
THE DRIVER SIDE SUN VISOR DOESN'T STAY UP. THIS ISSUE FIRST HAPPENED ABOUT A YEAR AGO. I DEALT WITH IT FOR SEVERAL MONTHS BEFORE FINALLY BUYING A NEW ONE. HAVING REPLACED IT ONCE ALREADY, I KNEW THIS LIKELY WASNT GOING TO BE A RECALL ISSUE, EVEN THOUGH THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE COMPLAIN ABOUT IN JEEP FORUMS EVERY YEAR. NOW, 4 MONTHS AFTER REPLACING IT, IT HAS FAILED AGAIN. THERE ARE MULTIPLE THINGS I DONT LIKE ABOUT THIS VEHICLE, BUT NOT BEING ABLE TO SEE OUT THE WINDSHIELD WHILE DRIVING BECAUSE THE VISOR IS CONSTANTLY FALLING DOWN IS A SERIOUS ISSUE.
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT RANDOMLY COMES ON AT HIGHER SPEEDS ON THE FREEWAY AND THEN GOES BACK OFF. LAST TIME IT WAS ON, WENT TO REPAIR SHOP AND HAD IT HOOKED UP TO THE DIALYSIS MACHINE AND IT STATED THAT THE THERMOSTAT NEEDED REPLACING. BUT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT NEVER STAYS ON. AFTER I STOP THE CAR AND RESTART IT, IT'S OFF. IT ALSO RANDOMLY LURCHES FORWARD OR SHAKES WHILE IN DRIVE OR PARKED. I'VE ALREADY HAD TO REPLACE THE RADIATOR FAN WHICH KEPT BLOWING FUSES DUE TO THE FAN GOING OFF TRACK AND GETTING STUCK. I THOUGHT THAT FIXED THE JUMPING, BUT IT STILL OCCURS. JUST LESS OFTEN. MY MYSKY PANEL ENGINE IS ALSO BROKEN AND WILL NOT OPEN. STARTS TO OPEN, THEN CLOSES OR STOPS COMPLETELY AFTER ONLY AN INCH OR TWO OF OPENING.
MY VEHICLE JERKS FORWARD WHEN I ACCELERATE FROM A COMPLETE STOP. THIS ALSO HAPPENS MOST OF THE TIME WHEN I AM DRIVING 30 M.P.H. OR LESS AND TRY TO ACCELERATE. MY CAR WILL JERK FORWARD AND BACK, THEN OPERATE NORMAL. MY REPORTED THIS ISSUE WITH MY DEALERSHIP, BUT THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG AND SENT ME OFF. I'VE GONE TO THEM TWICE, AND SIMPLY GAVE UP, BUT THE ISSUE IS STILL THERE. I PURCHASED MY CAR IN 2015. IT'S VERY ANNOYING, BUT THERE DOESN'T SEEM TO BE A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE, ALTHOUGH, MANY CUSTOMERS ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME THING. SAME MODEL YEAR (2015), WE'RE ALL NOT CRAZY, THERE IS DEFINITELY AN ISSUE WITH THE 2015 RENEGADE'S TRANSMISSION.
ON THE FREEWAY AND CAME TO A STOP. PUT FOOT ON GAS, AND IT WOULDN'T MOVE. THIS HAS HAPPENED 3 TIMES ON THE FREEWAY. HAD TO CHANGE GEAR, AND RESTART ENGINE TO MOVE.
WHEN I STOP AND PARK THE VEHICLE STILL ROLLS IN PARK BEFORE COMPLETELY STOPPING IN PARK
IT WAS WORKING FINE THEN OUT OF NO WHERE THE TRANSMISSION LIGHT CAME ON AND ALL THE EMERGENCY LIGHTS STARTED FLICKERING. THE SHIFT GEAR WON'T MOVE AND IT WON'T ACCELERATE WHEN ITS IN DRIVE. CAR SHAKES WHEN SHIFTING GEARS.
IT STARTED AS A WOBBLE TYPE NOISE COMING FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT A COUPLE DAYS PRIOR. SUDDENLY MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ACTIVATES AND I NOTICE A CHANGE IN MY AC. ON MY WAY TO DETROIT MY TEMP GAUGE REACHES MAX, THUS ILLUMINATING A RED TEMP WARNING. I QUICKLY FOUND A PAY-TO-PARK LOT NEAR MY DESTINATION. WHILE ALLOWING TIME FOR THE ENGINE TO COOL DOWN, I GOOGLED MY ENGINE LIGHT AND OVERHEATING ISSUE. RETURNING TO MY VEHICLE I WAS ABLE TO QUICKLY DIAGNOSE A WELL KNOWN ISSUE INVOLVING A WOBBLY COOLING FAN AND A BLOWN 50A FUSE. FORTUNATELY THE NIGHT COOLED AND I WAS ABLE TO RETURN HOME WITHOUT AC NOR THE AID OF AN OPERATING COOLING FAN. MY STORIES SIMILAR TO COUNTLESS OTHERS. I'VE SEEN ONE VIDEO CLAIMING A RECALL FIX POSTED LAST MONTH. IT APPEARS A SHIELD HAS BEEN ADDED...I BELIEVE THAT'LL DEFINITELY FIX THE POORLY ENGINEERED ISSUE INVOLVING THE PROXIMITY OF THE FAN TO THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD.
APX 2 MONTHS AFTER PURCHASE CAR WOULD NOT START IN MY DRIVEWAY. DIFF CODES WOULD APPEAR AND IT LOCKED UP. TOWED TO DEALER AND BATTERY REPLACED. WHILE DRIVING AND COMING TO STOP ON LOCAL ROADS CAR WOULD FEEL LIKE REARENDED AND CHECK OIL LIGHT WOULD COME ON AND SERVICE ENGINE ICON AND CAR WOULD STALL. ON DIFF OCCASIONS WHEN TRYING TO START CAR IN MY DRIVEWAY IT WOULD EITHER NOT START OR BARELY TURN OVER AND HAVE NO ACCELARITION OR 3 MPH AND WOULD NOT GO IN REVERSE. CAR WOULD STALL ABOUT 4 BLOCKS FROM HOUSE WHEN I CAME TO STOP. TRANSMISSION REPLACED AND THE REAR END FEELING FIXED. CAR HAD OIL CHANGE APPT RECENTLY AND DAY OF APPT IT WOULD NOT START AND ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. HALF HOUR LATER CAR STARTED AND I TOOK IT TO DEALER. SERVICE SAID PROBLEM FIXED. WEEK LATER SAME PROBLEM AGAIN. TOOK TO DEALER AND THEY SAID PROBLEM FIXED COME GET CAR. SERVICE CALLED ME AND SAID CAR WOULDNT START FOR THEM EVEN THO THEY FIXED IT. MY CAR HAS NOW BEEN IN SHOP 3 WEEKS WAITING ON PART. PART EDT IS NOW 9/11/19. I ALSO HAD MOTOR MOUNTS REPLACED AND NOW DEALER ALSO SAYS PROBLEM WITH MY SUSPENSION AND THAT HAS CAUSED MY YEAR OLD TIRES TO WEAR THIN. NO PHOTOS TO SUBMIT. DATES CAR AFFECTED APPROX.
EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION . 30000 MILES IN THE ENGINE AND IT GOES THROUGH OIL MORE OFTEN THAN THE RECOMMENDED OIL CHANGES. MAJOR ACCIDENT ISSUE, CAUSED BY ENGINE STALLINGS DUE TO UNEXPECTEDLY LOW OIL. ENGINE STALLED WHILE DRIVING 65MPH ON THE FREEWAY
TRANSMISSION HESITATES SO BADLY GOING INTO SECOND GEAR THAT I AM CONSTANTLY ALMOST REAR ENDED, AND BEING SCREAMED AT BY OTHER MOTORISTS, ESPECIALLY IN TRAFFIC. IF YOU'RE NOT AT A COMPLETE STOP, IT'S NOT AS BADR. BUT FORGET IT IF YOU HAVE TO STOP FOR OVER 3 SECONDS. TRAFFIC AND PARKING LOT SEEMS TO BE THE ABSOLUTE WORSE (IF YOU'RE KEEPING IT AT 15 MPH OR UNDER IT SEEMS. FIRST THEY REPLACED THE VALVE BODY, THEN 2 TRANS MOUNTS, ALL AT A COST TO ME, BEFORE THEY DECIDED TO REPLACE THE TRANS. TRANSMISSION WAS SUPPOSEDLY "REPLACED" UNDER WARRANTY, BUT HAS ONLY GOTTEN WORSE. ALSO, NOW HAVING ENGINE REPLACED, BECAUSE IT BURNS 3 QUARTS OF OIL EVERY 1000 MILES. LESS THAN 50,000 MILES ON THIS CAR.
THERE IS A TERRIBLE UNDER CARRIAGE NOISE AS IF ONE OF THE WELDS DIDN'T HOLD. I TOOK IT TO A REPAIR SHOP AND THEY SAID THAT THE PAN UNDER THE CAR WAS MAKING NOISE AND I WOULD HAVE TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP. IT WAS NOT DAMAGED BY ANYTHING, IT JUST STARTED MAKING THIS NOISE.
I WAS MAKING A TURN FROM A STOP AND VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE WHEN GAS PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED IT TOOK ABOUT 5SEC FOR THE VEHICLE TO ACCELERATE. IT WAS ALMOST HIT BY ON COMING TRAFFIC, THIS HAS HAPPENED NUMEROUS TIMES. THE VEHICLE DOESN'T SHIFT CORRECTLY FROM A STOP AND DOES NOT ACCELERATE QUICKLY. THIS WILL CAUSE SOMEONE TO BE KILLED.
WAS DRIVING TO NEWNAN, GA ON HIGHWAY WHEN CAR JUMPED INTO NEUTRAL CAUSING CAR TO SLOW ALMOST ENDING IN A REAR-END COLLUSION. I AM A CANCER PATIENT AND DRIVE FROM BROOKLET, GA TO NEWNAN GA FOR TREATMENT. ALSO WAS TOLD MY VEHICLE IS RECALL DUE TO THE COOLANT SYSTEM NOT WORKING PROPERLY.
WHEN IDLING AND SOMETIMES WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE RADIATOR COOLING FAN CONSTANTLY WOBBLES AND GRINDS AGAINST THE SHROUD.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN MY CHECK ENGINE CAME ON. WHEN I PULLED OFF THE HIGHWAY MY CAR STARTED OVER HEATING. MY FAN SEIZED AND THE CAR KEPT OVERHEATING.
TEMPERATURE LIGHT COMES ON WHILE IDLING. COOLING FAN NOT WORKING AT ALL. FAN FAILED AND FUSE BLOWN.
MY GARAGE HAS A SLIGHT INCLINE. WHEN I PUT THE CAR IN REVERSE, IT JERKS BACK AND FORTH UNTIL I APPLY THE BRAKES. ALSO WHEN IT SHIFTS INTO SECOND GEAR, I FEEL A SLIGHT HESITATION AND A HEAR A CLUNKING SOUND.
THERE'S IS NO ALTERNATIVE TO THE WINDSHIELD AND JEEP HAS THEM ON BACKORDER SINCE 2018. IT'S BEEN OVER A MONTH AND JEEP CANNOT PROVIDE RELEASE DATE. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY AND VISIBILITY ISSUE
WE PURCHASED OUR VEHICLE AT APPROX 23K MILES IT IMMEDIATELY STARTED SHIFTING HARD. WE WERE ADVISED THAT THESE VEHICLES ARE KNOW TO DO THAT SO WE DIDN'T PURSUE THE ISSUE! HOWEVER IN JULY 2017 WHEN ON A TRIP TO MARYLAND WHILE CLIMBING MOUNTAINS AND COMING DOWN THEM THE TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT SHIFT OUT OF 4TH GEAR. ON THE DOWN SIDE OF THE MOUNTAIN WHEN IT WOULDN'T SHIFT WE WOULD HAVE TO PULL TO THE EMERGENCY LANE, PUT THE VEHICLE IN PARK, TURN OFF FOR A FEW MINUTES AND THEN TRY TO MERGE INTO TRAFFIC AGAIN AT 70+ MPH. OUR TRANSMISSION ACTED UP MORE THAN 4 TIMES DOING THIS. I HAVE ASKED FOR THE DEALERSHIP TO LOOK INTO IT AND THEY KEEP STATING THEY CAN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. WE LIVE IN INDIANA AND THE ROAD CONDITIONS ARE NOT THE SAME HOWEVER THE HARD SHIFTING OCCURS HERE. WE ARE STILL UNDER ORIGINAL MANUFACTURE WARRANTY AT THIS TIME. IT SEEMS TO BE A KNOW ISSUE WITH THE 9 SPEED TRANSMISSION FOR THE 2015 JEEP RENEGADE BUT NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE OR ABLE TO BE DONE TO FIX THE ISSUES!
THE KEY GET STUCK IN THE IGNITION. THIS HAPPENS MORE FREQUENTLY WHEN IT IS WARM OUT.

WHILE BACKING OUT OF A PARKING SPOT, (I HAD SWITCHED THE VEHICLE TO REVERSE AND HAD BEGUN MOVING), MY RENEGADE SWITCHED INTO NEUTRAL AND STOPPED BACKING UP. I TRIED SWITCHING BACK INTO PARK AND INTO REVERSE AGAIN BUT INSTEAD THE VEHICLE REPEATED THE ISSUE BY GOING INTO NEUTRAL INSTEAD OF REVERSE. I HAD TO TURN THE VEHICLE OFF AND RESTART IT IN ORDER FOR THE VEHICLE TO OPERATE PROPERLY.
I HAVE SOME 31K MILES IN THE VEHICLE AND IT HAS BEEN GIVEN ME TROUBLES WITH THE WHEELS SINCE THEY AREN'T INFLATED CORRECTLY. WHEN I TAKE IT TO THE REPAIR SHOP, EVERYTHING IS GOOD AND NO NAIL NOR NOTHING IS IN THE WHEEL. BUT WHEN THEY VERIFY THE 'WORM' WHERE YOU INFLATE THE TIRE IT HESISS AND IT GETS BUBBLY SINCE THEY VERIFY THE WHEEL WITH WATER AND SOAP. IT TURNS OUT THAT THE VALVE (WORM) HAS WORN OUT OR SPLITTED - FROM I DON'T KNOW WHERE. PLUS NOW IT IS HAPPENING WITH A SECOND TIRE/WHEEL. WHEN I REPLACE THE VALVE, IF ITS NOT AN ORIGINAL MOPAR PART, THE SENSOR WON'T RECOGNIZE IT. NOW I SPOKE WITH THE TIRE TECHNICIAN AND IT INDICATES TO ME THAT IT SHOULD BE A WEAR OFF DUE TO MANUFACTURES SPECIFICATIONS.
COOLING FAN IS MALFUNCTIONING AS MANY OTHERS APPARANTLY HAVE. THE ENGINE WILL OVERHEAT IF AT REST OR MAKING FREQUENT STOPS (CITY DRIVING).
WHILE DRIVING THE CAR SPEED WILL SHIFT KIND OF LIKE FROM NEUTRAL TO FIRST AND SO FOR. WHILE DRIVING ON THE STREET AND STOPPING AT A STOP SIGN I TRY TO ACCELERATE THE CAR WILL BUT IT WILL NOT ACCELERATE ON TIME AND ALMOST PRODUCES A CRASH. WHILE ON THE TURNPIKE I TRY TO ACCELERATE BUT IT WILL NOT ACCELERATE PROMPTLY, IT FEELS AS IF IT GETS STUCK AND THEN IT GIVES A BIG KICK. WHILE AT ANOTHER STOP SIGN ON OTHER DAYS, THE CAR DOES NOT ACCELERATE AND GIVES A KICK AND PROCEEDS TO MOVE IN A SLOW MOTION THEN GIVE ANOTHER KICK AND CONTINUE TO MOVE. IT FEELS AS IF THE SHIFT SHIFTS ON THEIR OWN AND ACCELERATION DOES NOT RESPOND ON TIME. ANOTHER DAY I WAS DRIVING WITH MY CHILD IN THE BACK SEAT AND I WAS AT A STOP SIGN. IT WAS MY TURN TO GO AND AS I SLOWLY ACCELERATED THE VEHICLE WILL GIVE A KICK AND PROCEED TO MOVE SLOWLY. ON ANOTHER INSTANCE, I STOPED AT A RED LIGHT AND WHEN THE LIGHT TURN GREEN I PROCEEDED TO MOVE, THE CAR GAVE ANOTHER SLOW KICK AND EVENTUALLY DECIDED TO ACCELERATE AGAIN IT DOES NOT MATTER HOW INTENSE I PRESS ON THE ACCELERATOR IT STILL TAKES A WHILE FOR IT TO RESPOND AND AVCTUALLY STARTS ACCELERATING. IT'S BEEN AN ONGOING PROBLEMS AND AM GENUINELY SCARED TO DRIVE THE CAR FOR I FEEL ONE DAY IT MIGHT NOT ACCELERATE ON TIME ON A TRAFFIC LIGHT OR STOP SIGN OR ON THE ROAD. WHILE AM PARKED ND CHANGE THE SHIFT FROM PARKING TO DRIVE, THE CAR AGAIN GIVES A QUICK AND THEN DECIDES TO MOVE. IT'S A SCARY EXPERIENCE TO FEEL THAT THE CAR I DRIVE AND AM.PAYING FOR WILL NOT ACCELERATE ON TIME WHILE ON THE ROAD, AT A GREEN LIGHT, ON TURNPIKE WHILE STUCK IN TRAFFIC OR WHILE TRYING TO GET OUT OF MY PARKING LOT.
MY JEEPS RUNS OUT OF GAS AT 1/4 TANK. NO LOW FUEL LIGHT COMES ON. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. (I.E. WHILE ON THE INTERSTATE GOING 65MPH, IN CITY TRAFFIC)
I WAS DRIVING ON A PAVED HIGHWAY AT ABOUT 50 MPH WHEN I FELT A SLIGHT WOBBLLING SENSATION THAT FELT LIKE IT WAS COMING FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. I LET OFF THE ACCELERATOR AND APPLIED MY BRAKES AND THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY VEERED SHARPLY INTO THE ONCOMING LANE OF TRAFFIC. I TURNED THE STEERING WHEEL TO GET THE VEHICLE BACK IN MY OWN LANE AND THE VEHICLE VEERED SHARPLY BACK TOWARD MY LANE AND STARTED TO GO OFF THE ROAD. THEN THE VEHICLE STARTED VEERING SHARPLY BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN BOTH LANES AND I HAD NO CONTROL WITH THE STEERING WHEEL. I HAD LET OFF THE ACCELERATOR WHEN IT STARTED VEERING ALL OVER THE ROAD. AT ONE POINT THE VEHICLE WAS TURNING SIDEWAYS AND I THOUGHT IT WAS GOING TO ROLL OVER. I WAS APPROACHING A SHARP CURVE AND THE VEHICLE WAS HEADED TOWARDS A POWER POLE AND 3 CONCRETE IRRIGATION BOXES. I KEPT TAPPING THE BRAKES UNTIL THE VEHICLE STOPPED, RUNNING OFF THE ROAD NEAR THE POWER POLE, BUT FORTUNATELY DID NOT MAKE IMPACT WITH THE POWER POLE OR THE CONCRETE IRRIGATION BOXES. WHEN I GOT OUT TO SEE WHAT HAPPENED, THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE TRAILING ARM WAS HANGING DOWN AND WAS NO LONGER ATTACHED TO THE VEHICLE. WEATHER CONDITIONS WERE SUNNY, ABOUT 80 DEGREES AND THE PAVEMENT WAS DRY. NO POLICE REPORT WAS FILED SINCE I DID NOT HIT ANYTHING. I HAD JUST MET ANOTHER ONCOMING VEHICLE APPROXIMATELY 10 SECONDS PRIOR TO THIS; HAD THE TIMING BEEN DIFFERENTLY I WOULD HAVE HIT THEM HEAD-ON WITH NO WAY TO STEER THE VEHICLE TO AVOID THE COLLISION. VEHICLE WAS THEN DRIVEN APPROX. 1 MILE TO MY HOUSE AT 5-10 MPH.
SEVERAL TIMES I TOOK MY 2015 JEEP RENEGADE INTO CARTHAGE CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM TO COMPLAIN ABOUT MY TRANSMISSION SLIPPING WITH ACCELERATION FROM A STOP. I WAS TOLD SEVERAL TIMES IT WAS FINE, DESPITE MY REPEATED COMPLAINTS THAT IT WAS A SAFETY HAZARD. IT WOULD SLIP WHEN ENTERING ROUNDABOUTS AND WHEN MAKING LEFT TURNS IN TRAFFIC, CAUSING SEVERAL NEAR ACCIDENTS. I ALSO COMPLAINED ABOUT THE JEEP RENEGADE CONTINUING TO SHIFT INTO NEUTRAL, A RECALL JEEP CLAIMS TO HAVE REPAIRED IN THE PAST. WHEN I WROTE THE COMPANY ABOUT MY DISMISSED COMPLAINTS IN MAY I RESPONDED TO THEIR EMAIL FOR FOLLOW UP INFORMATION ON MAY 12. A FOLLOW UP QUESTION WAS ASKED REGARDING THE NAME OF THE TECHNICIAN I MAY 13, ATTACHED. I APPARENTLY MISSED A CALL ON 5/14 AND WAS NOTIFIED 5/15 THAT THEY WERE CLOSING MY CASE, ALSO ATTACHED. WE DECIDED TO TAKE MY RENEGADE INTO FRANK FLETCHER CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP, DUE TO EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE DURING AN AUTOMOTIVE PURCHASE EARLIER THIS YEAR, AND THEY IMMEDIATELY FIND THE PROBLEM TO BE AN INTERNAL CLUTCH FAILURE. I HAVE NOW BEEN QUOTED A PRICE OF $4,601+TAX...TO FIX A PROBLEM I HAVE BEEN COMPLAINING ABOUT FOR YEARS TO A DIFFERENT JEEP DEALERSHIP ON 9/21/2020. I IMMEDIATELY SENT AN EMAIL TO THE NHTSA, HOWEVER I MAY HAVE NOTIFIED THE ADMINISTRATION INCORRECTLY, SENDING AN EMAIL INSTEAD OF THE FORM. ALSO ATTACHED IS THE WORK ORDER AND INVOICE FROM JULY 2019. I WAS PROVIDED WITH THE INVOICE AT TIME OF PAYMENT WITH NO MENTION OF A TRANSMISSION COMPLAINT. THE WORK ORDER CLEARLY SHOWS I WAS COMPLAINING ABOUT THE TRANSMISSION. EVERY TIME I COMPLAINED I WAS TOLD THEY COULDN'T REPLICATE THE ISSUE AND NOTHING WAS NOTED ON THE FINAL INVOICE....WHEN MY TRANSMISSION WOULD HAVE BEEN COVERED UNDER THE POWER TRAIN WARRANTY. THIS WAS NOT MY FIRST COMPLAINT, EITHER, AS I HAD BEEN COMPLAINING ABOUT THE TRANSMISSION FOR YEARS DUE TO IT BEING A SAFETY HAZARD.
VEHICLE WAS IN FORWARD MOTION MAKING A LEFT TURN AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT WHEN THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SHIFTED TO NEUTRAL. DASHBOARD ALERT CAME ON THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD HAVE TO BE STOPPED BEFORE IT COULD BE SHIFTED. HAD TO STOP THE VEHICLE, SHIFT TO PARK, TURN THE VEHICLE OFF AND TURN IT BACK ON BEFORE IT WOULD SHIFT BACK INTO DRIVE.
RADIATOR COOLING FAN ASSEMBLY QUIT WORKING, VEHICLE OVERHEATS WHEN STATIONARY OR DURING CITY DRIVING.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 JEEP RENEGADE. MOMENTS AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF, IT FAILED TO RESTART. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO FOX CHRYSLER (4100 PLAINFIELD AVE NE, GRAND RAPIDS, MI) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL PUMP WAS FAULTY; HOWEVER, THE PART WOULD NOT AVAILABLE UNTIL AUGUST OF 2019. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,147.
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON HAD CODE READ P0481. FOUND COOLING FAN ASSEMBLY LOCKED UP.
HESITATING, ROUGH SHIFTING AND STALLING. WILL HESITATE SO BAD WHEN STARTING FROM A STOPPED POSITION, AND GOING INTO 2ND GEAR (9 GEAR TRANS) THAT I'VE BEEN REAR ENDED, IN TRAFFIC, BECAUSE MY CAR HAS ESSENTIALLY STOPPED. ONLY 41,000 MILES. WORST IS WHEN FULLY STOPPED AND ARE ONLY SLIGHTLY ACCELERATING TO ABOUT 15 MPH. SUCH AS IN TRAFFIC, A PARKING LOT, OR TURNING. HAS STALLED IN MIDDLE OF A INTERSECTION WHILE TURNING. WON'T RESTART FOR APPROXIMATELY 20 MINS HAS BEEN TO DEALER 3 TIMES. THEY'VE "FIXED IT" EACH TIME. HAVE FINALLY APPROVED A NEW TRANS

WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE, GOING 70 MPH, MY CAR STOPPED RUNNING AND SAID THERE WAS AN ERROR. I HAD A FAMILY MEMBER HELP ME LOAD IT UP AND TAKE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP. THEY TOLD ME THAT MY FUEL SENSOR MALFUNCTIONED AND SHOWED ME THAT I HAD GAS HOWEVER MY CAR HAD NO GAS. I HAD TO PURCHASE AN ENTIRE FUEL PUMP SINCE THE SENSOR IS INTEGRATED WITHIN THE PUMP. MY MILEAGE WAS 36,000 NOW MY RADIATOR FAN ASSEMBLY NEEDS REPLACED AS IT IS GOING OUT. I AM AT 41,000 MILES NOW. I NOTICED A WEIRD NOISE COMING FROM THE MOTOR AREA WHILE I WAS IDLING. I NOTICED
JUST BOUGHT THIS USED - GOOD CONDITION EXCEPT THAT IT LITERALLY "LUNGES" FORWARD WHEN YOU ACCELERATE, TYPICALLY GOING FROM 1ST TO 2ND GEAR. THERE IS A DEFINITE HESITATION BETWEEN THE TIME YOU PRESS THE GAS PEDAL AND THE TIME IT TAKES TO MOVE FORWARD. WHEN TAKING A LEFT TURN INTO CROSS TRAFFIC I HAVE TO MAKE SURE I HAVE EXTRA TIME TO ACCOUNT FOR THE LOSS OF ACCELERATION.
