MY 2017 JEEP RENEGADE BURNS A TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF OIL. WHEN THE OIL IS TOO LOW THE CAR JUST SHUTS OFF WHILE TURNING OR ACCELERATING TOO FAST.
STATES "PARKING LIGHT" IS OUT AND IT IS AND I CANNOT REPLACE IT. IT ALSO SHAKES WHEN I GET UP TO 70 MPH.
I WAS DRIVING MY CAR AS AN AUTOMATIC NOT SHIFTING IT. ALL OF A SUDDEN THE INFO SECTION SAYS DOWN SHIFT AS I WAS TURNING, I WAS IN MOTION THE WHOLE TIME, I DID NOT STOP TO TURN. AND IT DIES. RIGHT IN THE ROAD WHILE DRIVING. I HAVE LOOKED AND MY VIN DOESNT COME UP AS A RECALL BUT THIS OH MY GOD I WAS LUCKY I WAS ON A BACK ROAD TO BE OK, IF I HAD BEEN ON A BUSY ROAD OR INTERSTATE MY FAMILY AND I WOULD BE DEAD. WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT. I NEED THIS FIXED ASAP. THIS IS MY ONLY MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION. HELP ME!!!!!!!
THE CAR SEEMS TO WANT TO STALL WHEN DRIVING ALONG. HAD TO PRESS ON THE GAS AND GO ABOVE THE SPEED LIMIT SO AS NOT TO STALL. IF I PUT IT IN GEAR AND PRESS ON THE GAS I HAVE TO KEEP PUMPING THE GAS PEDDLE FOR THE ENGINE TO GET THE GAS. ALSO IF OIL IS LOW, THE CAR JUST SHUTS OFF HAS HAPPENED TO ME 3 TIMES, THE SENSOR (DUMMY LIGHT) DOES NOT WARN YOU THAT YOUR OIL IS LOW. I DO NOT DRIVE MY CAR FAR AS I AM AFRAID IT WILL STALL IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY AS I GO TO WORK.
FOR THE SECOND TIME MY JEEP RENEGADE HAS SHUT OFF ON ME WHILE ONCE WAS ON THE INTERSTATE, SECOND GOING UP AN INCLINE. THE FIRST TIME WAS NO WARNING AND ABOUT WRECKED DUE TO BEING ON AN INTERSTATE THAT HAD ROAD CONSTRUCTION WITH NO EDGES TO PULL OVER, ALL WHILE MY SON WAS IN THE CAR WITH ME. BOTH TIMES NO OIL ON DIPSTICK
THE LOW OIL LIGHT CAME ON AFTER ROUNDING A CORNER. ABOUT TWO WEEKS LATER LOW OIL LIGHT CAME ON UPON BRAKING WHILE LEAVING THE PARKING LOT AND THE ENGINE STALLED. THIS OCCURRED TWO MORE TIMES WHILE STOPING AT RED TRAFFIC LIGHTS. THE NEXT DAY ON THE WAY TO GET THE OIL CHANGED THE BEHAVIOR WAS THE SAME. IF THE JEEP DEACCELERATED TOO QUICKLY, OR WENT AROUND A SHARP CORNER THE LOW OIL LIGHT CAME ON AND THE THE ENGINE STALLED. AFTER THE FIRST STALL, THAT HAPPENED AT A STOP SIGN, THE ENGINE HAD DIFFICULTY STARTING. I NEEDED TO TRY THREE TIMES BEFORE IT STARTED. AFTER THE OIL CHANGE IT IS OK. THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME IT IS NORMAL THAT SOME ENGINES NEED TO HAVE OIL ADDED, ONE QUART, BETWEEN OIL CHANGES. I TOLD THEM THAT WAS NOT TRUE AND THIS WAS AN UNSAFE DEFECT.
AFTER REFUELING THE ENGINE STALLED WHEN I DROVE ONTO THE HIGHWAY. AFTER RESTARTING, THE ENGINE SHUT DOWN. A LIGHT CAME IN "VEHICLE MUST BE IN PARK OR START". I PUT ON 4 WAY FLASHERS. AFTER SEVERAL STALLS, MY JEEP RESTARTED. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED.
WAS DRIVING TO WORK, TURNED ON MAINS STREET AND CAR WOULDN'T ACCELERATE WHEN I PRESSED ON THE GAS.
WHEN I WAS DRIVING FROM A LONG ROAD TRIP OF OVER 600 MILES THE SERVICE TRANSMISSION LIGHT WENT ON THEN A THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT I WAS GOING UP A SMALL HILL WHEN THIS HAPPEN I LOST POWER AND MY CAR DID NOT WANT TO GO BUT WHEN I PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND TURNED IT OFF TO CHECK UNDER THE HOOD I DID NOT SEE NOTHING LOSE OR LEAKING AFTER ABOUT 10 MINUTES GOT BACK IN TURNED THE CAR ON AND THE LIGHTS WHERE GONE AND STARTED TO DRIVE NORMAL I STILL HAD ABOUT 400 MILES TO GO AND NO PROBLEM. NOW ON THE WAY BACK 4 DAYS LATER DROVE GOOD FOR 450 MILES NO PROBLEMS TILL THE BOTH LIGHTS CAME ON AT THE SAME TIME AND I HAD TO PULL OVER I DID THE SAME THING TURNED OFF THE CAR AND THEN BACK ON AFTER A FEW MINUTES THE LIGHTS WHERE OFF DROVE GOOD FOR 100 MILES THEN IT CAME BACK ON PULLED OVER TURNED THE CAR OFF AND ON AND THE LIGHT WENT OFF AND I HAVE NOT HAD A ISSUE YET WITH IT. I DID NOT NOW YOU NEED IT PICTURES OR ELSE I WOULD HAVE TAKEN SOME 1ST TIME FILING A COMPLAINT
VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION AND ALL OF A SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER, VEHICLE WILL NOT ACCELERATE UNTIL YOU GET OFF ACCELERATOR AND THEN IT WILL ACCELERATE WHEN YOU DEPRESS THE PEDAL. HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 JEEP RENEGADE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH, THE VEHICLE LOSS MOTIVE POWER WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT PULLED OVER AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE AND THE VEHICLE OPERATED AS INTENDED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO JIM CLICK JEEP (701 W AUTO MALL DR, TUCSON, AZ 85705) WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A CYLINDER NUMBER 4 MISFIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 73,889.
I WAS JUMPING OOFF MY GF CAR FOR THE 10TH TIME OVER A COURSE OF TIME, THIS TIME FOR SOME REASON MY JEEP CAUGHT FIRE AND NOW IS TOTALED AND IT ALSO CAUSED HER CAR TO CATCH FIRE. SO NOT ONLY DID IT DAMAGE MY JEEP BUT DAMAGED HER CAR AS WELL.
I GOT GAS AT A LOCAL GAS STATION AND AS SOON AS I PULLED OUT STARTED TO NOTICE HESITATION AND JERKING FROM THE VEHICLE. PRESSING THE GAS I NOTICED IT WASN'T SHIFTING GEARS AS GOOD AND ENGINE LIGHT FLASHED BUT DIDN'T STAY ON. AFTER 2 DAYS THE PROBLEM DID NOT END AND FINALLY ENGINE LIGHT WAS CONSISTENTLY ON. I COULD NOTICE THE VEHICLE WASN'T DRIVING AS GOOD IN CRUISE CONTROL AND WOULD CONSTANTLY JERK AND VIBRATE. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS NOT IN MOTION A CONSISTENT JERK WAS PRESENT. I DRIVE TO WORK ON THE INTERSTATE AND GOING UP HILLS I BEGAN TO NOTICE A LAG IN THE VEHICLE.
WITHIN 6 MONTHS OF PURCHASING NEW CAR,THE COMPUTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED IN DASH-USES 1 QT. OIL EVERY 2000 MILES.IVE COMPLAINED AND COMPLAINED TO NO AVAIL-DEALERSHIPS ALL SAY ITS 'NORMAL' NOW.THE TRANSMISSION IS SLIPPING .-WHEN U GO FROM A LOW SPEED TO A HIGHER SPEED. I TOOK IT TO DEALERSHIP AND THEY THINK IT NEEDED AN UPDATE ?ALSO,OIL WAS LEAKING AROUND TRANSFER CASE;I NOTICED SPOTS ON CONCRETE WHEN PARKED AND THE LIQUID WAS CLEAR. THIS CAR HAS LITERALLY BEEN A HUNK OF JUNK!
THE MYSKY FEATURE ON THIS PARTICULAR MODEL ALONG WITH OTHERS VEHICLE HAS BROKE AND NOT WORKING. THE MAIN CONCERN FOR ALOT OF US IS THE BRACKETS THAT SLIDE THE ROOF OPEN AND CLOSE ARE BREAKING VERY EASILY. THERE ARE MANY JEEP RENEGADE USERS THAT ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUES. THE JEEP DEALERSHIP HAS ALSO SAID THE SAME THAT THEY FIX ALOT OF THESE ISSUES AND ARE NOT COVERED. THIS CAN ALSO BE A SAFETY ISSUE SINCE IT IS AN ESCAPE FROM A VEHICLE IF THE DOORS BECOME UNABLE TO OPEN.
LOSING OIL NOT GETTING 25,00 MILES BETWEEN OIL CHANGES CAR STALLS AND TURNS OFF UNTIL I GET OIL CHANGED. ALSO DASHBOARD ALERTS FOR LIGHTS OUT OR SERVICE WARNINGS BUT THE LIGHTS ARE NOT OUT.
MY LEFT REAR SIGNAL BURNT OUT. I THOUGHT IT WAS THE BULBS BLOWN OUT BUT IT WASN'T. I AM REPLACING THE ELECTRICAL BOARD THAT CONNECTS TO THE WIRE.
THE ESC, ABS, STEERING TORQUE CONTROL, 4WD, PARKING BRAKE LIGHTS ALL CAME ON. THE DEALER TOLD ME THAT A RODENT HAD CHEWED THE WIRING FOR A REAR WHEEL SPEED SENSOR BECAUSE IT HAS SOY BASED INSULATION. THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN PARKED OVER NIGHT, BUT GETS DRIVEN EVERY DAY.
COOLING FAN HAS BEEN REPLACED TWICE IN THE LAST YEAR AND NOW ON 3RD TIME GOING OUT
TOOK THE JEEP TO DEALER FOR PA STATE INSPECTION . DURING THE INSPECTION IT WAS REVEALED A PROBLEM WITH A REAR DISK BRAKE. THE INSIDE PAD HAS WORE OUT DO TO NOT RETRACTING. THIS JEEP HAS A ELECTRIC EMERGENCY BRAKE. I FEEL THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THIS SYSTEM, CAUSING IT NOT TO RETRACT THE INSIDE PAD. THE PAD A WORE COMPLELY OUT DAMAGING THE DISK. I HAD TO HAVE THE REAR BRAKES REPLACED. JEEP HAS ONLY 23000 MILES ON IT. I BELIEVE AN INVESTIGATION INTO THE ELECTRIC EMERGENCY BRAKE NOT WORKING RIGHT. IF NOT FOR MY STATES YEARLY INSPECTION LAW THE PROBLEM WORLD NOT HAVE BEEN KNOWN AND COULD HAVE CAUSED AN ACCIDENT
CAR STOPPED AND TOTALLY SHUT OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION. LUCKILY A MAN STOPPED AND PUSHED MY CAR. I HAD TO SHUT IT OFF AND RESTART IT. THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN POTENTIALLY FATAL IN A BUSY INTERSECTION.
I WAS ON MY WAY HOME FROM WORK ON JULY 15, 2020. I STOPPED TO TO FUEL THE CAR AND CONTINUED ON MY ROUTE HOME. AFTER ABOUT 1 1/2 MILES, I WAS DECELERATING FROM EXITING THE SPUR 601 TO MAKE A RIGHT TURN ONTO THE MARSHALL OVERPASS, WHEN ALL OF THE SUDDEN THE CAR LOST POWER AND STARTED TO SHAKE REALLY BAD. THE IDLE WAS EXTREMELY LOW AND COULD MAKE IT UP THE HILL AND OVERPASS. IT DIDN'T STALL, BUT NEARLY DID SEVERAL TIMES WHILE AT A STOP LIGHT. THE CAR WOULD SHAKE BADLY WHEN IT REACHED 30 MPH AND AGAIN AT 40 MPH. TOOK CAR TO DEALERSHIP NEXT MORNING THINKING IT WAS BAD FUEL, BUT WAS FOUND TO BE BAD IGNITION COILS. THE COILS WERE REPLACED, BUT ISSUE WITH CAR NEARLY STALLING WHILE MAKING TURNS OR HESITATION TO ACCELERATE AFTER A STOP IS STILL PRESENT. MY CAR IS NOT PART OF ANY OF THE RECALLS, BUT IS HAVING THE SAME ISSUES THAT THE MAJORITY OF OWNERS OF THESE CARS. ALTHOUGH MY CAR HAS NOT ACTUALLY STALLED YET, PRETTY CLOSE THOUGH, I'M AFRAID OF IT HAPPENING AND SOMEONE CRASHING INTO ME. I'M VERY CAUTIOUS WHEN PULLING INTO TRAFFIC SINCE IT'S SLOW IN ACCELERATION. IT PERFORMS POORLY GOING THROUGH MOUNTAIN RANGES, ESPECIALLY WHEN CLIMBING. IT ALSO IS JERKY AT TIMES WHEN SHIFTING GEARS, ESPECIALLY AFTER REACHING AROUND 30 MPH. THE CAR ONLY HAS 32,000 MILES AND SHOULD BE PERFORMING BETTER THAN IT IS NOW. VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH JEEP.
THE JEEP WAS STAIONARY. THE FUEL PUMP WOULDN'T COME OUT OF THE CAR, LEADING TO THE CAR LEAKING GAS EVERYWHERE AND THEN WOULDN'T START. TOOK THE CAR BACK TO JEEP DEALERSHIP, THEY REPLACED THE FUEL FUEL TANK FILLER. A WEEK LATER THE JEEP IS STATIONARY AND THEN WHEN I TURNED ON THE CAR IT WOULDN'T START AND HAD A FLASHING LIGHTNING SYMBOL AND THEN GAS STARTED LEAKING EVERYWHERE FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE JEEP. I BOUGHT THIS CAR BRAND NEW AND ONLY HAVE HAD IT FOR TWO YEARS. I FEEL THAT I MIGHT HAVE A LEMON.
INDICATOR LAMP ILLUMINATING SAY THAT ALL MY LIGHTS HEAD LIGHTS, TURN SIGNALS, BACK UP LIGHT BREAK LIGHTS AND TURN SIGNALS ARE ALL OUT, WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE STREET. I HAVE VIDEO AND PHOTOS BUT THEY ARE TO BIG TO UPLOAD AND DO NOT KNOW HOW TO MAKE THEM SMALLER. I SEE THERE IS A RECALL FOR THIS EXACT THING BUT NOT FOR MY VIN NUMBER
THIS DOESN'T MATTER IF MY VEHICLE IS TURNED ON OR OFF. WHEN STATIONARY THE JEEP RENEGADE WILL NOT LOCK OR UNLOCK FROM THE KEY FOB. PREVIOUSLY THE KEY FOB WOULD WORK BUT I WOULD HAVE TO REPEATEDLY PUSH THE LOCK/UNLOCK BUTTON. I HAVE REPLACED THE BATTERY ON THE KEY FOBS TO NO BETTER RESULTS.
MY 2017 JEEP RENEGADE IS NOT UNDER THE RECALL BUT IT IS DOING THE EXACT SAME THING AS THE RECALLED 2017 JEEP RENEGADE'S ! I CAN NOT UNDERSTAND HOW MY VEHICLE IS NOT COVERED? THIS IS EXTREMELY CONFUSING AND FRUSTRATING!! IT IS STALLING AND OIL IS LEAKING SAME RECALL AS 4X4 AND FLEXFUEL RENEGADES... MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING IT AND GOT STUCK AND IT CAUSED HER HEAT EXHAUSTION WHILE WAITING IN VEHICLE FOR ASSISTANCE! OUR CITY IS IN A HEAT ADVISORY!!
BACKUP CAMERA IS BLACKED OUT ON SCREEN. SHOWS GRAPH LINES
WHILE DRIVING ABOUT 25 MPH ON CITY ROADS, THE TRANSMISSION WILL FREQUENTLY SHIFT VERY HARD STARTLING DRIVER AND PASSENGERS. I FEAR IT WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE CAR AND POTENTIALLY DISTRACT THE DRIVER AND CAUSE AN ACCIDENT.
WHEN DRIVING, MY INSTRUMENT PANEL SAYS MY LEFT TAIL LIGHT, LEFT BLINKER AND LEFT BRAKE LIGHTS ARE OUT. THEY DO NOT WORK, SO ALL OF THEM WERE REPLACED AND THEY STILL DO NOT WORK. I KNOW THERE IS A RECALL TO FIX THIS, BUT MY VIN IS NOT ON THE RECALL. CAN MY VIN BE ADDED TO THE RECALL? I AM SO AFRAID OF GETTING INTO AN ACCIDENT WHEN I AM TRANSPORTING MY GRANDCHILDREN TO SCHOOL. THE WARNING SYMBOL IS ON ALL THE TIME. THE MESSAGES FLASH TILL I GET UP TO 45 MPH AND WON'T DISPLAY THE SPEED DIGITALLY EVEN THOUGH I TRIED TO ADVANCE TO THE SPEED READOUT, IT WON'T STAY ON THE DISPLAY.
CAR IS LAGGING AND WOBBLY. LOSES POWER. COMPLETELY SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING. LOSS OF ALL ELECTRICAL SCREENS. SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT DID NOT APPEAR UNTIL AFTER SEVERAL TIMES OF CAR LOSING POWER.

HUSBAND RESET TRANSMISSION BUT SAME PROBLEM EXISTS. CALLED LOCAL JEEP DEALERSHIP TO CHECK IT OUT, THEY TOLD ME TO TAKE IT BACK WHERE I PURCHASED. WHICH I SAID I ALREADY HAD, HE STILL SAID TAKE IT BACK TO THEM, SO THEY CAN TAKE IT TO GET IT LOOKED AT. SOUNDS LIKE RUN AROUND TO ME. CAN YOU HELP ME?
WHEN I STARTED MY JEEP THIS MORNING IT STARTED SHAKING REALLY BAD AND THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. THE SHAKING STOP SO I CHANCED IT TO WORK. IT FELT LIKE IT WAS LOSING POWER AND WOULD RATTLE A LITTLE. ANYTIME I MADE A TURN IT FELT LIKE THE JEEPS TIRES WERE SLIDING. IT'S TAKING A LOT LONGER TO PICK UP SPEED AND SEEMS TO BE FORCING ITSELF INTO GEAR. IN THE LAST FEW DAYS THOUGH MY LIGHTS HAVE BEEN FLICKERING WHILE DRIVING AND EVEN THE RADIO WENT OUT FOR A FEW HOURS. THE OUTLETS (OLD CIGARETTE LIGHTER OUTLETS ) STOP WORKING TOO. DON'T KNOW IF IT'S RELATED TO THE REST BUT IT DID ODDLY START IN THE SAME TIME FRAME. *TR

THE CONTACT CALLED PLANET DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM (9975 NW 12TH ST, MIAMI, FL 33172, (305) 470-8000), AND INFORMED THE DEALER OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER TO BE DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 25,000.
CAR IS PARKED. IT STARTED WITH RIGHT REAR DOOR LOCK NOT LOCKING WITH THE KEY FOB. WE HAD TO MANUALLY LOCK IT FROM THE INSIDE. KEY FOB SEEMS TO WORK WITH ALL OTHER LOCKS BUT NOW NONE OF THE DOORS ARE LOCKING. YOU CAN HEAR THE LOCKS ENGAGING WHEN PRESSING THE KEY FOB TO LOCK BUT THE DOORS DO NOT LOCK AT ALL. *TR
The hose that holds the widow wiper fluid is made of cheap plastic and has cracked and leaks badly on the drivers side of the passengers section. I found a YouTube video wher the exact same thing happened to someone else car. Same model same problem and can cause other water damage. I have a video.

MY UNDERSTANDING IS THERE IS ALREADY AN ACTIVE RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE BUT MY VIN IS NOT COVERED. WHEN THE INDICATOR LIGHTS GO ON, I AM DRIVING, ONCE IN A PARKING LOT, ONCE ON A CITY STREET, AND ONCE ON THE FREEWAY.
I HAVE HAD THE JEEP RENEGADE FOR ABOUT 2 YEARS AND THE CAR HAS STARTED TO JERK INTO GEAR WHILE DRIVING AT AROUND 30 MILES PER HOUR. IT HAPPENS INTERMITTENTLY. I HAVE CHANGED GAS TYPES AND GOTTEN NEW AIR FILTERS, ETC. WITH NO RESOLUTION. IT SEEMS THAT FROM READING THE REVIEWS ON THIS SITE, THERE IS SOME COMMON EXPERIENCES FROM OTHER JEEP RENEGADE OWNERS. ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON; TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALER (HAVE AN CHRYSLER?JEEP FACTORY EXTENDED WARRANTY. I WAS INFORMED THAT BECAUSE THE OXYGEN SENSOR HARNESS WAS CHEWED BY A RODENT (PROBABLY A CHIPMUNK) THAT THE WARRANTY WOULD COVER REPAIR. I HAVE SINCE OUT THAT THE SHEATHING FOR WIRES USED BY THE MANUFACTURE IS MADE FROM SOYBEAN OIL OR PEANUT BASED OIL. I ASK IS THIS, MY FAULT OR THE MANUFACTURERS FAULT? I DID NOT NOR WOULD I PUT RODENT FOOD IN A VEHICLE. IF RODENTS CHEW BRAKE LIGHTS , THIS COULD CAUSE A FATAL CRASH. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY PARKED IN MY HOME DRIVEWAY. I HAVE THE REPAIR INVOICE AND THE CHEWED OXYGEN SENSOR W/HARNESS. *TR
VEHICLE ALERTS OF LOW OIL PRESSURE WHEN COMPLETING A TIGHT TURN OR U-TURN. AFTER A FEW OCCURANCES OF THIS, THE ENGINE TURNED OF WHILE DRIVING ON CITY STREETS. I PULLED OVER, CHECKED OIL LEVEL AND IT WAS EXTREMELY LOW. CHANGED THE OIL AND A MONTH LATER THE ALERT REOCCURRED. CHECKED OIL AND IT WAS LOW. ADDED OIL TO KEEP FROM REPEAT STALLING. THIS SEEMS TO BE VERY SIMILAR TO THE RECALL OF THE CRACK OIL PUMP HOUSING, NHTSA NUMBER 18V131000.
ENGINE BURNS OIL TO THE POINT TO WHERE IT IS UNSAFE TO OPERATE WITHOUT CONSTANTLY ADDING OIL BETWEEN SCHEDULED OIL CHANGE INTERVALS. THE ENGINE FEELS LIKE IT IS GASPING FOR AIR AFTER COMING TO A HALT AND THEN STARTING AGAIN(STOP SIGN, MAKING A LEFT TURN AFTER YIELDING TO ONCOMING TRAFFIC, ETC.). ADDITIONALLY, THE FOG LIGHT HOUSING ON BOTH SIDES IS COMPLETED BURNED AND MELTED. THIS LEAD ME TO BELIEVE THAT THERE IS A WIRING ISSUE CAUSING TOO MUCH POWER TO GO TO THE BULBS OR THE RECOMMENDED BULBS MAY BE TOO HOT. THE ENGINE ISSUE HAS BEEN ONGOING THROUGH ALL 39,000 MILES ON IT. THE FOG LIGHT HOUSING CONCERN WAS JUST DISCOVERED ON 4/15/2020 HOWEVER I'M SURE THE ISSUE WAS PREVALENT BEFORE HAND. MANY FRIENDS OF MINE WITH THE SAME VEHICLE HAVE ALSO EXPRESSED BOTH AFOREMENTIONED CONCERNS. *TR
ENGINE SHUT OFF WHILE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION, CREATING A DANGEROUS CONDITION DUE TO INABILITY TO MOVE CAR OUT OF TRAFFIC. FROM RESEARCHING VARIOUS WEBSITES THIS IS NOT AN ISOLATED INSTANCE OF THIS DANGEROUS OCCURRENCE FOR THIS MAKE/MODEL OF JEEP WHICH IS NOT BEING ADDRESSED BY THE MANUFACTURER. *TR
THE VEHICLE STALLS/JERKS... WHEN I'M DRIVING MY VEHICLE HESITATES AND SHIFTS WHILE TAKING OFF FROM 26 MPH. STALLS EXTREMELY HARD TO SHIFT GEARS. IT SCARES ME THAT IT'S GOING TO TURN OFF OR I MIGHT HIT SOMEONE OR CAUSE AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE I CAN'T CONTROL VEHICLE WHEN IT STALLS. THIS HAPPENS MOST OF THE TIME AND I HAVEN'T HAD THE VEHICLE NOT EVEN FOR A YEAR. *TR
THE ENGINE IGNITION COILS HAD GONE BAD, CAUSING THE CAR TO BREAK DOWN WHILE RUNNING ERRANDS IN TOWN DURING THIS COVID SITUATION. THE CAR ONLY HAD ABOUT 38,000 MILES ON IT AND I'M THE ORIGINAL OWNER. I WAS ABLE TO GET IT INTO A DEALER SAME DAY & THEY REPLACED A COIL & SPARK PLUG- GETTING THE CAR BACK ON THE ROAD. THEY ALSO REPLACED THE STEREO DUE TO ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS. THIS COST WAS PARTIALLY COVERED THROUGH MY TOYOTA CARE WARRANTY. OTHER PROBLEMS:THE TRANSMISSION ALSO HAS TROUBLE FINDING THE RIGHT GEAR WHEN ACCELERATING & OFTEN JERKS OR STALLS. THERE IS ALSO A VIBRATION/ RATTLE SOUND COMING FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT IN FRONT OF THE PASSENGER SIDE. MY DEALERSHIP DOESN'T WANT TO HELP FIGURE OUT THE OTHER PROBLEMS, IF THE CAR IS OPERATING. THEY ARE CLEARLY TOO BUSY TO INVEST THE NECESSARY TIME & PROBABLY ARE RECEIVING MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS LIKE MINE. AND I JUST READ AN ARTICLE ABOUT FCA ARE CONSIDERING A FULL RECALL OF THE 2.4 TIGER SHARK MODELS. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN JEEP QUALITY AND SERVICE.
As I excelerate any where between 25-32 MPH, the car jerks forward (with a feeling of being hit from behind).
MY JEEP HAS SHUT DOWN THREE TIMES WHILE I WAS PULLING INTO TRAFFIC, LOW OIL PRESSURE WARNING CAME ON. I GET MY OIL CHANGE REGULARLY AND I ONLY HAVE 25,000 MILES ON IT. I TOOK IT TO DEALER AND WAS TOLD THAT MY JEEP IS KNOWN FOR BURNING A LOT OF OIL. WHAT CAN I DO, IT SCARES ME TO DRIVE IT. PLEASE HELP!
