FUEL BLOWS OUT FROM THE GASOLINE FILL TUBE, RUNS DOWN THE OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE AND SPILLS ONTO THE PAVEMENT EVERY TIME VEHICLE IS REFUELED. SOMETIMES THE FUEL BLOWS OUT WITH SUCH FORCE IT SPLASHES ONTO WHOEVER IS HOLDING THE NOZZLE. THE PUMP NOZZLE WILL SHUT OFF AS THE TANK IS FILLED BUT FUEL WILL SIMULTANEOUSLY BLOW OUT OF THE FILL TUBE. IT DOES NOT MATTER WHICH GAS STATION IS USED, IT HAPPENS AT EVERY GAS STATION, AND HAS HAPPENED IN SEVERAL STATES. THIS VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN MODIFIED IN ANY WAY AND HAS NOT BEEN IN A COLLISION OR DAMAGED IN ANY WAY. THE DEALER SUGGESTED REPLACING THE TANK AT MY EXPENSE, BUT WOULD NOT GUARANTEE THAT EVEN COMPLETE REPLACEMENT WOULD CORRECT THE PROBLEM. *TR
WHEN FUELING MY 2006 JEEP WRANGLER THE GAS PUMP WILL NOT SHUT OFF AND GAS SPRAYS FROM THE TANK. I HAVE TRIED SEVERAL STATIONS AND THE PROBLEM CONTINUES. AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH I HAVE FOUND MANY ISSUES SIMILAR TO MINE. THE COMMON CONCLUSION IS THE ROLL-OVER ANTISPILL VALVE HAS GONE BAD AND THIS PART IS NOT REPLACEABLE ON ITS OWN. SO IT SEEMS THAT THE WHOLE FUEL TANK NEEDS REPLACING. IT SEEMS THIS PART NEEDS TO BE RECALLED AS IT HAS A HIGH RATE OF FAILURE. *TR
EXPERIENCING "DEATH WOBBLE" WHEN DRIVING OVER MANHOLES AND/OR STORM SEWER GRATES. UNCONTROLLABLE SHAKING IN FRONT SUSPENSION AND STEERING. VEHICLE TAKEN TO DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIRS ON 03/05/2012. HAS BEEN AT DEALER FOR 25 DAYS. REPAIR PARTS/LABOR CURRENTLY AT $1050+TAX. VEHICLE IN WORSE CONDITION THAN PRIOR TO HAVING REPAIRS. HAS NOW ALSO DEVELOPED A "SHIMMY" IN THE STEERING THAT WAS NOT PRESENT WHEN VEHICLE BROUGHT IN TO DEALER. VEHICLE WILL BE RETRIEVED ON 03/31/2012 AND TAKEN TO DIFFERENT AUTO REPAIR SHOP. PROBLEM NOT UNIQUE TO MY VEHICLE. RESEARCH OF PROBLEM ON INTERNET HAS NUMEROUS SIMILAR COMPLAINTS. PLEASE HELP PRIOR TO VEHICLE CAUSING ACCIDENT AND INJURIES/DEATH TO MYSELF OR OTHERS. CLEARLY A MANUFACTURING DEFAULT, IE. POOR DESIGN AND NO SOLUTION FOR CORRECTING THE PROBLEM. *JS
WHEN I FUEL MY TANK UP AT THE GAS STATION, THE PUMP DOESN'T CLICK OFF. GASOLINE SPRAYS OUT AND RUNS DOWN THE SIDE OF THE VEHICLE ONTO THE GROUND. *TR
FUEL TANK OVERFLOWS WHEN FILLING. JUST PURCHASED VEHICLE USED. VEHICLE HAS BEEN FILLED 6 TIMES AT 5 DIFFERENT GAS STATIONS AND HAS OVERFLOWED ON EVERY OCCASION. TAKEN TO DEALER AND THEY CLAIM THEY ARE UNABLE TO REPRODUCE. *TR
EVERY TIME I FUEL THE JEEP, GASOLINE OVERFLOWS ON THE JEEP AND THE GROUND BEFORE THE AUTOMATIC NOZZLE SHUTS OFF. *TR
MY GAS TANK WILL OVERFLOW IF I AM NOT INCREDIBLY CAREFUL WITH THE GAS NOZZLE. THIS HAS HAPPENED REPEATED TIMES AND ON ONE OCCASION POURED GAS ON MY SHOES. (I NOW STAND PRETTY FAR BACK WHENEVER I AM FILLING UP) IT HAS ALSO POURED DOWN THE SIDE OF THE JEEP, DISCOLORING THE FENDER AND PAINT, AS WELL AS LEAVING AN APPROXIMATE 1-2 FOOT PUDDLE OF GAS ON THE GROUND AT THE GAS STATION. I'D GUESS ABOUT 1/4 TO 1/3 GALLON OF GAS WILL GUSH OUT EACH TIME IT OVERFLOWS. TO FIX THIS (ACCORDING TO CHRYSLER) WOULD COST BETWEEN $800 AND $1000. HOW IS THIS IN ANY POSSIBLE WAY *NOT* A SAFETY HAZARD???! *TR
EVERY TIME I FILL MY GAS TANK FULL IT SPILLS OUT ALL OVER THE PLACE. THE PUMP WILL SHUT OFF BUT FUEL SHOOTS OUT ALL OVER THE GROUND AND JEEP. *TR
WHEN I GO OVER UNEVEN PAVEMENT OR A BUMP IN THE ROAD, THE VEHICLE SHAKES AND I AM UNABLE TO CONTROL IT. I HAVE TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP. *TR
WHEN FILLING VEHICLE WITH GAS, THE FUEL SPRAYS BACK OUT OF THE GAS FILLER NECK ONCE THE TANK BECOMES FULL. THERE IS NO WAY TO PREDICT WHEN THIS WILL HAPPEN, OTHER THAN SIMPLY NOT FILLING UP THE TANK ANYWHERE NEAR FULL.
EVERY TIME I FILL UP MY 2006 JEEP WRANGLER UNLIMITED GAS COMES SPILLING BACK OUT AS THE PUMP CUTS OFF. THIS STARTED HAPPENING THIS FALL AND HAS CONTINUED EVERY SINCE. FUEL GETS ALL OVER THE SIDE OF THE JEEP, THE GROUND AND WHEN NOT STANDING CLEAR ON MY CLOTHES AND SHOES. THIS NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED BEFORE SOMEONE GETS HURT. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 JEEP WRANGLER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD IDLE IMPROPERLY AND STALL INTERMITTENTLY. THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT WOULD ALSO ILLUMINATE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A PRIVATE MECHANIC WHO ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THE OIL PICKUP DRIVE ASSEMBLY WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. BOTH THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED AND WERE AWARE OF THE ISSUE; HOWEVER, INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE PARTS TO REPAIR THE FAILURE WERE ON BACK ORDER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 29,556 AND THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 25,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 JEEP WRANGLER UNLIMITED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER REFUELING THE FUEL TANK, GASOLINE FUEL WOULD SPILL BACK OUT ONTO THE GROUND. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INSPECTED BY A DEALER NOR WAS IT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 34,000.
WHEN FUELING VEHICLE, AT ABOUT 7/8 FULL POINT, GAS SPRAYED OUT OF FUEL NECK ONTO ME. THEN CUT OFF ON THE PUMP NEVER ENGAGED. HAS HAPPENED NUMEROUS TIMES. *JS
DURING FUELING OF A 2006 JEEP WRANGLER RUBICON UNLIMITED, WHEN THE FUEL PUMP NOZZLE AUTOMATICALLY STOPS THE FLOW OF GASOLINE AS THE FUEL TANK FILLS, FUEL SURGES BACK THROUGH THE FILLER TUBE AND VIGOROUSLY SPLASHES OUT ON THE SIDE OF THE VEHICLE AND ANYTHING OR PERSON WITHIN 2 TO 3 FEET OF THE FUEL FILLER. THIS OCCURS EVERY TIME THE FUEL TANK IS FILLED AND HAS DRENCHED THE PERSON FILLING THE VEHICLE FROM THE WAIST DOWN WITH GASOLINE ON TWO OCCASIONS. HAS SPILLED FUEL ON EVERY FILLUP (AT LEAST ONE CUP), DESPITE PRECAUTIONS (SLOWING FILLING RATE). MANUFACTURER AND DEALER HAVE DONE NOTHING TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM. *TR
GAS TANK OVERFLOWS EVERYTIME I FILL UP UNLESS I STOP BEFORE THE TANK IS FULL AND MANUALLY FILL THE REST OF THE TANK AT A VERY REDUCED RATE. THE OVER FLOW RESULTS IN APPROXIMATELY 1 QUART OF GAS BEING SPILLED. *TR
I HAVE A 2006 JEEP WRANGLER RUBICON AND EVERYTIME I FILL UP AT THE GAS STATION THE FUEL OVERFLOWS AND COMES BACK OUT ONTO THE JEEP. I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS BUT ITS A COMMON OCCURRENCE THERE SHOULD BE A TSB ISSUED TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. *TR
FOR ME, THIS PROBLEM HAS NOT RESULTED IN A CRASH OR INJURY. HOWEVER IT COULD LEAD TO THE ABOVE IF NOT RESOLVED BY THE MANUFACTURE. PROBLEM IS, WHEN DRIVING MY 2006 JEEP WRANGLER AND A BUMP IS ENCOUNTERED, SUCH AS A POT HOLE, A MAN HOLE COVER, EXPANSION JOINTS ETC. THE FRONT WHEELS GO IN TO A VERY SEVERE LEFT TO RIGHT OSCILLATION. TO RECOVER FROM THIS ONE MUST COME TO ALMOST A COMPLETE STOP. A LITTLE HARD TO DO AT 60MPH IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FREEWAY. CHRYSLER SAYS THAT THE FIX IS A NEW STEERING DAMPER, AT THE OWNER'S EXPENSE. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE AMONG THE JEEP COMMUNITY, CALLED "THE DEATH WOBBLE".I BELIEVE THIS IS TOO MUCH OF A SAFETY ISSUE FOR THE MANUFACTURE TO RESOLVE AT THEIR EXPENSE VIA A RECALL. SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET KILLED. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 JEEP WRANGLER. THE CONTACT PARKED THE VEHICLE AND AS HE ATTEMPTED TO SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF, THE IGNITION SWITCH WOULD NOT RESPOND. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE IGNITION SWITCH WAS REMOVED BY HIS PERSONAL MECHANIC IN ORDER TO SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF. THE DEALER ADVISED THAT THE IGNITION SWITCH COULD NOT BE REPLACED AS ONE UNIT BUT THE ENTIRE STEERING COLUMN WOULD NEED REPLACING. THE MANUFACTURER WOULD NOT PROVIDE ANY ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 90, 0000. UPDATED 02/7/11

DRIVING A 2006 JEEP WRANGLER UNLIMITED AT SPEEDS FROM 45-55 MPH CAUSES DEATH WOBBLE WHERE THE VEHICLE SHAKES VIOLENTLY AND STEERING IS UNABLE TO BE CONTROLLED. EVERY TIME I FILL UP WITH GAS, THE AUTO SHUTOFF DOESN'T WORK AND SPILLS GAS ALL OVER MY JEEP AND THE GROUND. IT HAPPENS REGARDLESS OF GAS STATION, TEMPERATURE, HOW FAR THE NOZZLE IS PUSHED INTO THE FILLER, ETC. IT HAPPENS EVERY SINGLE TIME I FILL UP. IT HAS DONE THIS FOR NO APPARENT REASON, SINCE THE DAY I BOUGHT IT WITH ONLY 19K MILES ON IT. I CHECKED THE VENT LINE GOING FROM THE TANK TO THE FILLER NECK, AND ITS FINE. EVENTUALLY THE GAS HAS STARTED TO WEAR AWAY THE PAINT FINISH, AND THE FINISH ON THE FLARE. NOT TO MENTION A HAZARDOUS MATERIAL SPILL. *TR

2006 JEEP WRANGLER SPORT LESS THEN 60,000 MILES ON IT AND KEEPS GETTING SERVICE CODE P0431 P0431-CATALYST WARM UP EFFICIENCY BELOW THRESHOLD ALL 4 OXYGEN SENSORS REPLACED AND STILL GETTING CODE. *TR
I HAVE A 2006 JEEP WRANGLER RUBICON. WHENEVER I FILL UP, IT OVERFLO'S. I HAVE NO BLOCKAGE OF KINKS IN THE TUBING . IT HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR A WHILE. *TR
I HAVE PURCHASED A USED 2006 JEEP WRANGLER FROM A LOCAL DEALERSHIP AROUND TWO YEARS AGO, AND WITHIN THE PAST YEAR I HAVE NOTICED GAS GUSHES OUT OF MY FUEL TANK EVERY TIME I GET FUEL. AT FIRST I THOUGHT IT WAS THE GAS ATTENDANT, AS IT IS ILLEGAL IN NJ TO PUMP YOUR OWN FUEL, HOWEVER THIS IS NOW OCCURRING EVERYTIME. I AM WORRIED MY PAINT WILL BECOME RUINED OR MY CAR MIGHT CATCH ON FIRE IF IT IS TOO HOT. I ALSO DO NOT HAVE THE MEANS TO PUMP MY OWN GAS AND I DON'T NEED THIS PROBLEM TO CAUSE MORE ISSUES DOWN THE ROAD SINCE THE SPILLED GAS HAS ALREADY DISCOLORED MY STOCK FENDER FLARE. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 JEEP WRANGLER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH OVER A BUMP IN THE ROAD HE FELT VIBRATIONS IN THE STEERING WHEEL AND THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO SHAKE UNCONTROLLABLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT REPAIR SHOP WHERE THE TIRES WERE BALANCED AND ROTATED. THE FAILURE CONTINUED TO OCCUR WHENEVER HE DROVE APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH OVER A BUMP. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 20,000.
THE FRONT END WOBBLED SEVERELY AT 50 MILES PER HOUR CAUSING A LOSS OF CONTROL. *TR
THE FUEL SYSTEM OVER FLOWS WHEN REFUELING. IT DOES NOT MATTER WHAT GAS STATION OR PUMP. THIS IS A FIRE SAFETY HAZARD AS WELL AS AN ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARD. *TR
TRAC BAR HAD TO BE REPLACED AFTER 74K. ALONG WITH THE REPLACEMENT, STEERING STABILIZER AND ALIGNMENT WAS REQUIRED. THIS WAS A COSTLY REPAIR. NOW, 20K LATER, TRAC BAR IS AGAIN NEEDING TO BE REPLACED. AFTER MUCH RESEARCH, THIS ISSUE IS EXPERIENCED BY A HUGE AMOUNT OF WRANGLER OWNERS, BUT CHRYSLER HAS NEVER ADDRESSED THE ISSUE. I LOVE MY JEEP, BUT AM UNSURE IF I WOULD BUY ANOTHER. THIS FLAW CREATES A HUGE HAZARD. THE ENTIRE FRONT END SHAKES UNCONTROLLABLY AND ESSENTIALLY BECOMES VERY HARD TO CONTROL. *TR
I BOUGHT A USED 2006 JEEP WRANGLER UNLIMITED. I HAVE TAKEN THIS CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR SERVICE FOUR TIMES FOR EXCESSIVE SHAKING WHEN DRIVING AT SPEEDS AROUND 50 MPH. THE ENTIRE VEHICLE SHAKES UNTIL I EITHER SPEED UP OR SLOW DOWN. THERE IS NO WAY TO CONTROL THE JEEP WHILE IT IS SHAKING! I HAVE HAD ALL THE "POSSIBLE CAUSES" CHECKED, REPLACED OR BALANCED INCLUDING: TIRES, FRONT END ALIGNMENT, SHOCKS, STABILIZER, BRAKES, ROTORS (TWICE). THE SHAKING MAY GO AWAY FOR A SHORT TIME BUT THEN RETURNS. (THIS WRANGLER WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE BRAKE RECALL EARLIER THIS YEAR.) *TR
2006 JEEP WRANGLER X, EVERYTIME I FILL UP AT THE PUMP GAS WILL RUSH OUT OF THE FILLER NECK. THIS WRANGLER HAS NEVER BEEN MODIFIED AND ONLY HAS 15000 MILES ON IT. OF COURSE THIS IS NOT ONLY A SAFETY ISSUE FOR MYSELF, BUT FOR OTHERS AT THE PUMPS NEXT TO ME AS WELL. JEEP HAS NOT GIVEN ME AN ANSWER TO THE PROBLEM, AND DOES NOT HAVE A RECALL. AMAZING. *TR
RIGHT WHEN THE GAS PUMP AUTOMATICALLY STOPS PUMPING GAS, MY TANK WILL SPEW FUEL OUT OF THE FILLER TUBE. *TR
EVERY TIME I FILL UP AT THE GAS STATION THE PUMP WILL OVERFLOW IF I'M FILLING UP THE TANK. THE PUMP DOESN'T STOP UNLESS I PULL THE NOZZLE OUT AT WHICH POINT GAS WILL SPILL ALL OVER THE REAR FLARE AND PAINT. IT HAPPENS AT ALL GAS STATIONS. THIS IS IN MY OPINION A VERY SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE. IT APPEARS CHRYSLER IS GOING TO WAIT FOR AN IGNITION SOURCE TO BE AROUND FOR SOMEONE TO GET SERIOUSLY INJURED OR DIE BEFORE THEY RESOLVE THIS. *TR
2006 JEEP WRANGLER -- BOUGHT USED WITH LESS THAN 30K MILES ON IT. WOBBLE AT ABOUT 55MPH, INTERMITTENTLY. MINE WAS SOLVED BY REPLACING THE STABILIZER BAR, HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH TIRES, ALTHOUGH THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED, I THOUGHT I HAD BLOWN A TIRE. GAS TANK FILLING -- SAME PROBLEM, THE PUMP DOESN'T SHUT OFF UNLESS YOU PUMP THE GAS SLOWLY. FIRST FEW TIMES, SPEWED GAS ALL OVER THE JEEP, MYSELF AND THE PAVEMENT. NOW I LISTEN AS THE TANK FILLS AND SLOW THE FILL AS I KNOW IT'S STARTING TOWARDS FULL. WITH THE SLOWING, THE PUMP DOES SHUT OFF BUT IT'S A GOOD IDEA TO HAVE SOME IDEA HOW MUCH GAS THE TANK WILL TAKE AT CERTAIN FUEL READINGS. *TR
I WOULD LIKE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT A 2006 RHD JEEP WRANGLER I PURCHASED FROM [XXX]. ON 4/01/10. LEMON IS NOT THE WORD. BEFORE DRIVING OFF THE LOT WITH VEH. I NOTICED THE FAN SWITCH FOR THE AC/HEATER ONLY OPERATED ON HIGH SPEED. HOURS LATER THE DEALERSHIP FINALLY REPLACED THE SWITCH FROM SOMEONES PERSONAL VEH. BECAUSE THE SWITCH IS SO HARD TO COME BY APPARENTLY. WITHIN 2 MOS THE SWITCH FOR THE FAN WENT OUT AGAIN. HAD TO WAIT ANOTHER 3 MOS. (ON BACK ORDER) THE GEAR SHIFTER CABLE BROKE NEXT AND HAD CAR TOWED AND REPAIRED. ALSO, IT WAS RUNNING EXTREMELY HOT, I WOULD HAVE TO SHUT VEH. DOWN TO COOL. THEN TO TOP IT OFF ON AUG. 13TH 2010 THE TRANS FELL OUT ON MY WAY TO WORK. I BOUGHT THE VEH ON APR 1ST (FOOLS DAY) AND BOY WAS I FOOLED. I THOUGHT THIS WOULD BE A DEPENDABLE, RELIABLE VEH. FOR MY JOB, THE POSTAL SVC EVEN GIVES $1000 INCENTIVES FOR THEIR CARRIERS TO BUY JEEPS. BIGGEST MISTAKE I'VE EVER MADE. I COULD OF LOST MY JOB TRYING TO DRIVE THIS JEEP IF MY BOSS HADN'T BEEN UNDERSTANDING ABOUT ALL THE BREAKDOWNS AND DOWNTIMES I HAD. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND A JEEP TO MY WORST ENEMY. JEEP TO ME STANDS FOR JUST EMPTY EACH POCKET. EVEN JEEP WONT STAND BEHIND THEIR VEH. CAN'T BUY EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR A RHD JEEP THEY DESIGNED TO DELIVER MAIL IN. IS THAT A JOKE OR WHAT? I HAVE OWNED NUMEROUS VEH. AND NOT PAID NEAR THE PRICE I DID FOR THIS JEEP AND THIS HAS TO BE THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. BE SMART DON'T MAKE THE MISTAKE I DID. IF YOU DO BUY A JEEP BETTER BUY IT BRAND NEW UNDER WARRANTY CAUSE YOU WILL NEED IT. BIG TIME. AND GET OUT FROM UNDER IT BEFORE THE WARRANTY GOES OUT. 1. FUELING THE VEHICLE. 2. WHEN FUELLING MY 2006 JEEP WRANGLER UNLIMITED, GASOLINE WILL ABRUPTLY BACKFLOW OUT OF THE FILLER NECK AND SPRAY ALL OVER AS THE TANK GETS CLOSE TO BEING FULL. IT HAPPENS SO QUICKLY AND VIOLENTLY THAT THE AUTO SHUTOFF ON THE GAS HOSE DOES NOT STOP IT. THIS WILL HAPPEN ANY TIME I ATTEMPT TO FILL THE TANK TO FULL. CONSEQUENCES: AS A RESULT, I HAVE HAD GASOLINE SPRAYED ALL OVER ME NUMEROUS TIMES INCLUDING GETTING IT IN MY EYES. ALSO, GASOLINE GETS ALL OVER THE SIDE OF THE VEHICLE AND LEAVES PUDDLES OF GAS ON THE GROUND CREATING A FIRE HAZARD. I MUST STOP FUELLING BEFORE THE TANK IS FULL TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING. I WANT TO REPORT AN ISSUE WITH MY JEEP WRANGLER 2006. I BOUGHT THIS CAR FROM JEEP IN ANNAPOLIS MARYLAND JEEP 2006 WITH 9,343 MILES ON IT. TWO MONTHS LATER IT BEGAN SHAKING UNCONTROLLABLY AT 50-55 MPH. ONLY AT THIS SPEED. THIS IS VERY SCARY WHEN IT HAPPENS AND HAVE ALMOST GONE OFF THE ROAD. THE ONLY WAY TO STOP IT IS TO ACCELERATE TO HIGHER SPEED OR TO SLOW DOWN. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE AND THEY DID A AN ALIGNMENT. THE SHAKING STOPPED AND 1 MONTH LATER IT STARTED AGAIN. A YEAR LATER, OF JUST PUTTING UP WITH THIS I BRING THE JEEP BACK TO THE DEALER. THEY TELL ME THAT THE CAUSE IS FROM WORN TIE RODS AND STEERING DAMPER WORN. IF THIS IS THE CAUSE OF THE SHAKE THEN THEY SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME THIS A YEAR AGO. I THINK THE WORN PARTS ARE A RESULT FROM THE SHAKE. NOT THE CAUSE. EITHER WAY , THE JEEP NOW HAS 26,000 MILES AND I'M ALREADY BEING TOLD TO PUT 2000 DOLLARS INTO IT FOR WORN PARTS. THESE PARTS ARE WEARING PREMATURELY BECAUSE OF THE SHAKE BUT NO ONE CAN DETERMINE THE CAUSE. IF I HAD BOUGHT THE CAR NEW , I COULD HAVE USED THE LEMON LAW BUT UNFORTUNATELY, I BOUGHT IT WITH LOW MILEAGE USED. I BOUGHT MY 2006 JEEP WRANGLER RUBICON NEW FROM A DEALERSHIP. AFTER FEW YEARS I STARTED HAVING ISSUES WITH FUEL SPITTING OUT OF THE GAS FILLER WHEN FILLING UP AT A GAS STATION. ABOUT 1/4 TO 1/2 CUP AT A TIME. DOESN'T MATTER WHICH STAION OR WHICH PUMP I USE. THE PUMP I USE WOULD CLICK OFF,BUT ALWAYS A SECOND TOO LATE. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS PROBLEM IN THAT NOT ONLY IS IT DAMAGING MY PAINT AND WHEEL WELL FLARES BUT ALSO SPILLING GAS ON THE GROUND CREATING AN ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARD AS DEFINED AND REGULATED BY THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY, AS WELL AS SPLASHING ONTO THE PERSON FILLING THE JEEP COVERING THEM IN FLAMMABLE CHEMICALS AND EXPOSING THEM TO LONG-TERM HEALTH ISSUES THROUGH INHALATION AND SKIN ABSORPTION AS ADDRESSED BY THE NATIONAL INSTITUTES OF HEALTH. NOT TO MENTION WITH THE FUEL SPILLING OUT LIKE THAT, IT ALSO CREATES A LOT OF FUEL VAPORS. WITH JUS A STATIC SPARK, IT COULD VERY WELL INGNITE THE FUEL. I CONSIDER THAT A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.
FUEL SPILLS OUT OF THE FILLER PORT DUE TO INCORRECT ENGAGEMENT OF THE STOP ON FUEL PUMP NOZZLES. THIS IS DUE TO A MALFUNCTIONING ICV. THE JEEP HAS BEEN DOING THIS SINCE I HAVE OWNED IT AND THE PREVIOUS OWNER STATED IT DID THE SAME THING SINCE HE AND HIS WIFE BOUGHT IT IN 2008 -WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS ONLY TWO YEARS OLD.
WHEN FILLING THE GAS TANK ON MY 2006 JEEP WRANGLER X, THE TANK OVERFLOWS A FEW CUPS OF GASOLINE OUT OF THE FILLER OPENING AFTER THE PUMP HANDLE SHUTS OFF. THIS RESULTS IN GASOLINE POURING ONTO THE PAVEMENT AND DOWN THE SIDE OF MY JEEP - AND ALSO SOMETIMES ONTO MY FEET! THIS IS NOW A DOCUMENTED PROBLEM WITH MANY JEEPS, AND CHRYSLER SHOULD BE REQUIRED TO RECALL AND FIX THIS PROBLEM IMMEDIATELY! EACH TIME I REFILL THE FUEL TANK, THERE IS A LARGE AMOUNT OF SPLASH BACK OF FUEL OUT OF THE FILLER AFTER THE GAS PUMP SHUTS OFF WHEN IT DETECTS THAT THE TANK IS FULL. IT STARTED HAPPENING AROUND 30000 MILES ON THE ODOMETER AND HAPPENS EVERY TIME I REFUEL THE JEEP. *TR

CAR HAS A BAD CLUNKING NOISE IN THE STEERING BOX. ONLY HAS 15000 ON THE VEHICLE, MANY OTHER PEOPLE I HAVE TALKED TO ON JEEPFORUM.COM HAVE THE SAME ISSUE. WHEN TURNING THE WHEEL FROM SIDE TO SIDE YOU HEAR A CONSTANT CLUNKING NOISE FROM THE FRONT END, ALWAYS BEING TRACED BACK TO THE STEERING BOX.
