FUEL RUNS OUT WHEN FILLING UP JEEP AT THE GAS PUMP HAPPENS EVERY TIME I FILL UP
HORN DOESN'T WORK AND CRUISE CONTROL DOESN'T WORK AIRBAG LIGHT ON N
FAULTY INSTRUMENT CLUSTER: DISPLAYED FALSE WARNING ALARMS, ESPECIALLY DURING THE FIRST 30 MINUTES OF DRIVING. WHEN TAKEN IN FOR SAFETY RECALLS, JEEP SHOWED 81,000 MILES ON ENGINE COMPUTER, NOT THE 8457 SHOWING ON INSTRUMENT CLUSTER.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 JEEP WRANGLER. WHILE FUELING THE VEHICLE, FUEL SPILLED ONTO THE GROUND. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO WALKER CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP AND RAM (5757 COLISEUM BOULEVARD, ALEXANDRIA, LA 71301, (318) 618-0103) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL FILLER NECK AND FUEL TANK NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THE 2007 AND 2008 JEEP WRANGLERS RECEIVED THE MANUFACTURER WARRANTED REPLACEMENT FOR THE FUEL NECK AND THE FUEL TANK; HOWEVER, THE 2009 WRANGLER WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.
CLOCK SPRING IN STEERING COLUMN HAS FAILED. AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT IS ON, HORN DOES NOT WORK, CRUISE CONTROL DOES NOT WORK, TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT IS ON. I DRIVE IN VERY DUSTY CONDITIONS WHILE DELIVERING US MAIL, RECORDS SHOW A RECALL WAS ISSUED FOR THIS JEEP AND THIS PROBLEM. RECORDS ALSO INDICATE THAT THE RECALL WORK WAS COMPLETED. BUT I HAVE THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM THAT THE RECALL WAS SUPPOSED TO FIX? WHAT CAN I DO?
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2009 JEEP WRANGLER. WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH, THE BRAKES FAILED TO WORK. THE CONTACT HAD TO PUMP THE BRAKE PEDAL BECAUSE IT TRAVELED TO THE FLOORBOARD WHEN IT WAS DEPRESSED. THE CONTACT PULLED INTO A PARKING LOT AND TURNED OFF THE VEHICLE. WHEN THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO RESTART THE ENGINE, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO SMOKE AND THEN CAUGHT ON FIRE. THE CONTACT EXITED THE VEHICLE IMMEDIATELY. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CALLED AND EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. A FIRE REPORT WAS FILED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED. THE CONTACT CALLED A CUSTOMER SERVICE LINE AND THOUGHT IT WAS THE DEALER. THE CONTACT WAS TRANSFERRED TO THE MANUFACTURER. THE MANUFACTURER PROVIDED A CASE NUMBER. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 123,808.
WHEN FILLING MY JEEP WRANGLER JK 2009 GAS TANK IT OVER FILLS WHEN PUMP SHUTS OFF THE SPILLING GAS ALL OVER MY 2009 JEEP WRANGLER JK AND GROUND.
I WAS TRAVELING AROUND 50-55 MPH ON A STRAIGHT ROAD, WHEN THE JEEP STARTED SHAKING VIOLENTLY AND I ALMOST LOST CONTROL. I HAD TO PULL OVER AND COME TO A STOP. I WAS VERY SHAKEN UP. I DID HAVE IT LOOKED OVER TO SEE IF ANYTHING WAS WRONG. COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING (TIRES, TIE-IN RODS, BALL JOINTS, AND ALIGNMENT). THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED, IT HAPPENED AGAIN. I FOUND OUT THEY CALL THIS THE JEEP DEATH WOBBLE. I CHECKED TO SEE IF THERE WAS A RECALL, BUT DIDN'T SEE ONE. I CAN'T BELIEVE THERE ISN'T A RECALL ON THIS WITH ALL THE COMPLAINTS I'VE READ. DON'T WAIT TILL SOMEONE GETS KILLED.
COMPLETE ELECTRICAL FAILURE WHILE DRIVING ON A CITY STREET. UNABLE TO JUMP START VEHICLE.
LEFT FRONT TURN SIGNAL WORKS INTERMITTENTLY, POWER WINDOWS WORK INTERMITTENTLY, RADIO WORKS INTERMITTENTLY. WAS TOLD IT WAS THE TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE. THIS SEEMS TO BE A VERY COMMON PROBLEM ON THE JEEP WRANGLER
THE ENGINE WAS ON IDLE. THE CAR WAS STATIONARY. I PRESSED THE GAS PEDAL. THE CAR DID NOT MOVE. I SAW SMOKE COMING OUT THE AIR CON / FAN ON THE DASHBOARD. I GOT OFF THE CAR AND LOOK UNDERNEATH IT. I SAW RED LIQUID POURING ONTO THE GROUND AND FLAMES. THE FIRE SUBSEQUENTLY EXTENDED TO THE ENTIRE ENGINE. THE FIRE BRIGADE CAME AND MANAGE TO PUT OUT THE FIRE. THERE WAS NO WARNING OF OVERHEATING OR ANY LIGHTS THAT WOULD HAVE INDICATED THAT SOMETHING WAS WRONG. THE CAR WAS REGULARLY MAINTAINED (EVERY 10,000 KM) AT THE LOCAL JEEP SERVICE CENTER. THE CAR ONLY HAD 77000 MILES I HAVE NEVER BEEN OFF-ROAD. I HAVE NEVER MADE ANY UPGRADE OR MODIFICATION TO THE CAR.
LEFT FRONT DIRECTIONAL HAS REPLACED BULB BUT STILL FLASHES FAST. COMPUTER WAS SCANNED FOR CODES AND TIPM CODE PRESENT. LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRING ALL LOOK GOOD. 2007 WRANGLER HAD A TIPM RECALL. 2009 SHOULD AS WELL.
I HAVE A STOCK JEEP. I HAVE SPENT THOUSANDS TO FIX THE JEEP DEATH WOBBLE AND THE MOPAR TRACK BAR IS NOT STRONG ENOUGH TO STOP IT! I HAVE REPLACED IT 3 TIMES THIS YEAR!! THIS HAS BEEN AN ONGOING ISSUE FOR THE LAST 2 YEARS! I LOVE MY JEEP BUT MAY HAVE TO GIVE IT UP!
WE HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING SEVERE WOBBLING OF OUR VEHICLE. THIS HAS OCCURRED THREE TIMES WHILE DRIVING APPROX. 65 MPH, ON A CITY FREE WAY. THE WOBBLING HAS BEEN INITIATED WHERE SLABS OF ROAD MEET, ESPECIALLY IF IT IS NOT EVEN ONE. ON ALL WOBBLING OCCASIONS WERE FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO FIND OURSELVES ON AN OUTSIDE LINE. WE WERE ABLE TO CONTROL THE WOBBLING BY HOLDING THE STEERING WHEEL AND SLOWLY PULLING OVER ON TO THE SHOULDER. I HAVE HAD ALL THE BRAKES REPLACED, FRONT AND REAR SHOCKS AND COILS REPLACED AND TIRE LUBED. WE ARE STILL DRIVING THE VEHICLE VERY CAREFULLY BY AVOIDING ROUGH AREAS ON THE ROAD.
GAS TANK SKID PLA RUSTED THROUGH. GAS TANK READY TO FALL OFF 2009 JEEP. 88K MILES AND PARKED IN GARAGE. PIECES MISSING AND CRACKED LENGTHWISE AND WIDTHWISE
DURING A "DEATH WOBBLE" EVENT, MY PASSENGER SIDE BLINKERS AND BRAKE LIGHT STOPPED WORKING. WE ATTEMPTED TO CHANGE THE BULBS, FUSES, AND CHECKED THE WIRING UNDER THE STEERING COLUMN TO NO AVAIL. HOW MUCH MORE IS THIS VEHICLE COST ME?
MANUFACTURER JEEP AND MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP ARE AWARE OF THE SAFETY RECALL ON MY VEHICLE. I HAVE BEEN TRYING GET THE ISSUE TAKEN CARE OF FOR OVER 6 MONTHS NOW, AND JEEP AND THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP (ANCHORAGE CHRYSLER CENTER) REFUSE TO FIX THE SAFETY ISSUE. I BROUGHT IN MY JEEP TO THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP FOR A SCHEDULED RECALL FIX. THEY SAID THEY COULDN'T FIX IT AT THAT TIME BECAUSE THEY NEEDED TO ORDER A PART THEY WEREN'T AWARE THE RECALL REQUIRED. THEY INFORMED ME THE PART WOULD ARRIVE IN ABOUT 4 DAYS AND THEY CONTACT ME. THAT WAS OVER TWO MONTHS AGO. THEY HAVEN'T CONTACTED ME AND ON THE RARE INSTANCES I GET A HOLD OF THEM THEY JUST SAY THEY NEED TO ORDER THE PART EVERY TIME. SO THEY HAVE NEVER ORDERED THE PART AND CLEARLY HAVE NO INTENTION OF DOING SO. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING AN UNSAFE VEHICLE FOR OVER A YEAR NOW BECAUSE OF JEEP AND IT'S DEALERSHIPS UNWILLINGNESS TO FULFILL THEIR LEGAL OBLIGATIONS.
WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND UPON HITTING ROUGH ROAD CONDITIONS THE FRONT ON THE JEEP BEGINS TO SHAKE UNCONTROLLABLY. YOU MUST SLOW OR COME TO A STOP TO MAKE IT GO AWAY. THIS HAS HAPPENED FOUR TIMES TO ME. IT IS BY FAR THE MOST TERRIFYING THING THAT HAS EVER HAPPENED TO ME IN 50 YEARS OF DRIVING. THE DEALER HAS TOLD ME IT WAS WORN DAMPENERS AND REPLACED THEM. OF COURSE THIS DID NOT HAPPEN FOR THE FIRST 50K MILES, SO I MUST WAIT UNTIL THE CONDITIONS APPEAR AGAIN TO SEE IF THE PROBLEM IS SOLVED.
WHEN I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE I HAD NOTICED IT MADE A NOICE , I HAD A MECHANIC TAKE A LOOK AT IT AND MENTIONED THE SUB FRAME WAS WELDED AND THAT THE CAR WAS VERY RUSTED AND FALLING APART. I WENT BACK WITH IN THE 15 DAYS AND UNDER 500 MILES AND BROUGHT IT TO JASON'S ATTENTION (THE PERSON HO SOLD ME THE VEHICLE, JASON ARGUED THAT ALL JEEPS SUB FRAMES ARE LIKE THAT FROM FACTORY, EVEN TRIED COMPARING IT TO ANOTHER JEEP HE HAD. I HAD TOOK THE JEEP TO A FEW SHOPS FOR EVALUATION AND ALL OF THEM CAME BACK WITH THE SAME BAD RESULTS THAT THE CAR WAS A SAFETY HAZARD. THE VEHICLE WAS ADVERTISED AT DEALER "THAT CAR PLACE" AS A GOOD RELIABLE AND SAFE CAR. MY BIG COCERN IS THAT I KNOW VERY LITTLE ABOUT CARS AND I DON'T FEEL COMFORTABLE IN A CAR THAT HAS SAFETY HAZARDS FOR OTHERS AND MY OWN SAFETY.I HAD REQUESTED A DIFFERENT VEHICLE AND THE REPLY I GT FROM JASON WAS THAT HE COULDN'T DO THAT BECAUSE HE HAD BROUGHT DOWN THE PRICE AN HAD GIVEN ME A DISCOUNT. I DON'T THINK ITS FAIR FOR HIM TO USE THAT EXCUSE AND DENY MY REQUEST JUST BECAUSE I DIDN'T ASK HIM TO IT WAS BY HIS CHOICE.
"TAKATA RECALL" DEALERSHIPS ARE SAYING THEY EITHER DON"T HAVE THE PARTS, OR AREN'T TAKING APPOINTMENT TILL AFTER OCTOBER 2018. I HAVE BEEN GETTING NOTICES AND HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET RECALLS FOR YEARS
WHEN REFUELING THE PUMP ALWAYS STOPS EVEN IF EMPTY, THIS MAKES IT VERY HARD TO KNOW IF IT'S ALREADY FULL OR IF IT'S JUST ACTING UP. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR A COUPLE YEARS NOW, AND IT HAPPENS 100% OF THE TIMES I REFUEL. I HAVE READ IN FORUMS THIS IS A VERY COMMON ISSUE AND SOME YEARS HAVE BEEN FIXED. THIS IS A POTENTIAL FIRE HAZARD SINCE FUEL SPILLS ARE VERY COMMON WITH THIS PROBLEM.
DEATH WOBBLE IN SUSPENSION WHILE DRIVING. HAS HAPPENED SINCE OWNING VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WILL BEGIN TO UNCONTROLLABLY SHAKE IN A VIOLENT MANNER AT A SPEEDS AT OR NEAR 60 MPH. THE WOBBLE IS PERSISTENT AND WELL DOCUMENTED ON THE INTERNET. JEEP REFUSES TO OFFICIALLY ACCEPT A PROBLEM EXISTS EVEN THOUGH WRANGLER OWNERS HAVE COMPLAINED IN THOUSANDS OF POSTS VIEWABLE ONLINE. I HAVE HAD MY JEEP IN MULTIPLE TIMES FOR THIS AND THE PROBLEM STILL PERSISTS.
CONSTANT OVERFLOW WHILE FUELING (~80% OF TIME). I DO NOT USE ANYTHING BUT REG GRADE FUEL. I DO NOT HOLD THE FUELING HOSE. IT DOES NOT MATTER IF I PUT THE HOSE IN ALL THE WAY OR SLIGHTLY OUT. IT TYPICALLY OVERFLOWS ABOUT 1/2 TO 1 PINT CREATING A FIRE HAZARD AND AN ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUE
GAS/ACCELERATOR PEDAL STICKING, CAUSING VEHICLE TO THROTTLE AND ACCELERATE UNCONTROLLABLY AND THE ENGINE TO REV WHEN THE CLUTCH IS PRESSED. THIS HAPPENS WHILE DRIVING.
MANUAL TRANSMISSION POPS OUT OF 1ST GEAR ON ACCELERATION FORCING THE DRIVER TO QUICKLY PUT INTO 2ND GEAR. THIS HAPPENS WITHOUT WARNING AND DOES CAUSE A SAFETY HAZARD. IF THE VEHICLE STALLS OUT WHEN GOING INTO 2ND GEAR IT COULD EASILY CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.
EACH TIME I FILL MY JEEP WITH GAS THERE IS A GUSHING OF GAS AT THE END OF FILL UP. EACH TIME I FILL IT UP THE JEEP DOESNT WANT TO TAKE THE GAS EITHER. IT WAS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY AT A GAS STATION.
WHEN I REFUEL, WHEN PUMP STOPS GAS COMES OUT.
WHEN USING A GAS PUMP TO AUTO-FILL THE TANK, THE PUMP SHUTS OFF AND THE TANK OVERFLOWS SOME OF THE FUEL ONTO THE PAINT ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE 2009 JEEP WRANGLER. DOESN'T MATTER WHAT GAS STATION I GO TO, THE STYLE OF NOZZLE, OR THE ANGLE THE NOZZLE IS USED AT. IT OVER FILLS EVERY TIME. THIS JEEP WRANGLER X WAS RECENTLY PURCHASED IN NOVEMBER 2017 WITH 90, 961 MILES. STARTED EARLY NOVEMBER. I RECENTLY SOLD MY 1997 JEEP WRANGLER WHICH I HAD DRIVEN OVER 178,523 MILES IN THE 18 YEARS OF OWNERSHIP NEVER EXPERIENCED THIS PROBLEM NOT EVEN ONCE. INITIALLY I THOUGHT IT WAS OPERATOR ERROR UNTIL I READ THE COMPLIANTS ON THE INTERNET FROM OTHER JEEP OWNERS AND THE NHTSA WEBSITE.
RECALL ON PASSENGER AIR BAG. TAKATA HAS FILED A CHAPTER 11
WHEN FILLING UP MY 2 DOOR JEEP WRANGLER IT NEVER FAILS TO OVERFLOW, IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT PUMP I USE OR HOW FAST OR SLOW I FILL UP. I HAVE RESEARCHED THAT THEY FIXED A COUPLE YEARS AND MINE DOESN'T FIT INTO THAT. I FEEL IT IS VERY FRUSTRATING THAT THEY WON'T FIX ALL YEARS CONSIDERING THEY KNOW THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE AND A SAFETY HAZZARD AS THE GAS DOESN'T JUST GET ALL OVER MY VEHICLE AND THE GROUND BUT MYSELF AS WELL. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR A COUPLE MONTHS, I THOUGHT IT WAS MAYBE THE PUMP OR THE WAY I WAS PUMPING THE GAS AND NOTHING I HAVE DONE TO CHANGE IT HAS HELPED.
DASH CLUSTER FLICKERS, JEEP SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING, SOMETIMES STARTS THREW OUT STALL ON ITS OWN. WON'T START ALL THE TIME. HAVE AN ISSUE WE'RE MY BATTERY CABLES ARE MASSIVELY MELTED CAUSING SMOKE.
WIPERS TURN ON BY THEMSELVES, SOMETIMES WON'T WORK WHEN DRIVING. RADIO CONSTANTLY REPROGRAMMING ITSELF. HEADLIGHTS SOMETIMES COME ON WITHOUT TURNING THEM ON YET OCCASIONALLY WON'T WORK WHEN DRIVING. WHILE DRIVING I'VE HAD THE RADIO SHUT OFF, TRIP ODOMETER RESET, MILEAGE RESET, IT'S ALMOST LIKE THE CPU RESETS IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING. LASTLY, IVE HAD THE ENTIRE JEEP STALL WHILE STOPPED AT INTERSECTIONS. MOST TIMES IT TAKES 2-3 CRANKS TO GET IT STARTED. NOTHING LIGHTS UP ON THE DASH WHEN I TRY TO START IT. THESE THINGS HAVE HAPPENED APPROXIMATELY 30-40 TIMES IN THE LAST YEAR. THE RADIO REPROGRAMMING ITSELF HAPPENS DAILY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 JEEP WRANGLER. WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH, THE VEHICLE STRUCK A BUMP IN THE ROAD AND WOBBLED VIOLENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE STABILIZER BAR, PITTMAN BAR, AND STABILIZING SHOCK ABSORBERS FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AGAIN. A DEALER (ADVANTAGE DODGE RAM CHRYSLER JEEP 3200 E. MAIN STREET, FARMINGTON, NM 87402) WAS CONTACTED, BUT DID NOT PROVIDE ANY ASSISTANCE. THE MANUFACTURER REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE CONTACT DID NOT FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE MANUFACTURER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 60,000.
MY JEEP HAS BEEN HAVING AN ONGOING ISSUE WHILE FUELING. AFTER THE FUEL FILLING NOZZLE AUTOMATICALLY SHUTS OFF IT WILL SPIT OUT FUEL ALL OVER ME AND MY VEHICLE. I UNDERSTAND THAT THE WARRANTY ON 2007-2008 JEEP WRANGLER JKS HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO BE A LIFETIME WARRANTY AND MINE DOES NOT FALL UNDER THE WARRANTY, EVEN THOUGH IT IS THE SAME ISSUE. THIS IS NOT JUST AN INCONVENIENCE. GASOLINE CAN CONTAIN HYDROCARBONS, PARAFINS, OLEFINS, CYCLOALKANES, OXYGENATORS, AND AROMATICS INCLUDING BENZENE WHICH IS A KNOWN HUMAN CARCINOGEN. THIS FUELING ISSUE IS NOT ONLY A SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERN BUT IT IS ALSO A HEALTH CONCERN FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS.
WHEN FILLING TANK, FUEL OVERFLOWS EVERY TIME. HAVE TRIED TO DECREASE FLOW TOWARDS THE END, BUT NOTHING SEEMS TO WORK. SEEMS LIKE A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE WITH FUEL SPILLING ON EVERY FILL UP.
AIR BAG LIGHT TURNS ON AND OFF RANDOMLY.
THE GAS TANK STARTED LEAKING DUE TO THE SKID PLATE SUPPORTING IT ROTTING.I SAW THE GAS ON MY DRIVEWAY SO I TOOK IT TO MY MECHANIC WHO PUT IT ON A LIFT AND SHOWED ME THE PROBLEM
WHEN DRIVING BETWEEN 45 AND 55 MPH THE JEEP WILL BEGIN TO VIOLENTLY SHAKE SO BAD IT IS HARD TO CONTROL THE STEERING WHEEL, AND THE ONLY REMEDY IS TO SLOW DOWN OR COME TO A COMPLETE STOP. THE VIOLENT SHAKING IS INTERMITTENT, I AM ABLE TO DRIVE THE SAME ROUTE WITH NO PROBLEM, AND OTHER TIMES THE VEHICLE WILL GO INTO A VIOLENT SHAKE.
ON 17 APR 2017 I WAS DRIVING 70MPH ON US-31 & HIT A BUMP & MY JEEP WENT INTO THE "DEATH WOBBLE" & I HAD TO SLOW DOWN & GO TO THE SHOULDER. THE STEERING WHEEL SHOOK VERY BAD. IE: THE LOCAL JEEP DEALER CALLED IT THE "DEATH WOBBLE"!
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 JEEP WRANGLER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 63 MPH, THE HOOD LATCH DETACHED AND CAUSED THE SAFETY LATCH TO OPEN. THE CONTACT COASTED THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, USED A CARGO STRAP TO SECURE THE HOOD, AND DROVE HOME. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 32,000.
TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 JEEP WRANGLER. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 16V290000 (AIR BAGS) AND 16V352000 (AIR BAGS). THE PARTS TO DO THE REPAIR WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT A SECOND NOTIFICATION WOULD BE SENT TO OWNERS IN LATE MARCH OF 2017. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.

FOR THE PAST 2 YEARS, WHENEVER IT RAINS, WATER FLOWS IN FROM THE TOP LEFT CORNER OF BOTH FRONT DOORS. ALSO, IF MY VEHICLE IS PARKED AND IT RAINS, NEXT TIME I DRIVE IT WATER ABSOLUTELY POURS IN ALL OVER ME AND THE PASSENGER SEAT, OR MY PASSENGER.

PURCHASED VEHICLE LAST YEAR, SUDDENLY WHEN FILLING THE FUEL, AT THE POINT THE PUMP AUTOMATICALLY SHUTS OFF THE GAS BACK BLOWS DUMPING A SUBSTANTIAL AMOUNT OF FUEL ON YOU AND THE GROUND. THIS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE JANUARY OF THIS YEAR AND HAS HAPPENED THE LAST THREE TIMES I HAVE FUELED MY VEHICLE AT DIFFERENT PUMPS.
I WAS DELIVERING MAIL, AND WHILE STOPPED AT A BOX I NOTICED SMOKE COMING FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE HOOD. I PULLED INTO THE NEAREST DRIVEWAY, AND GOT OUT OF THE VEHICLE JUST BEFORE THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT WENT UP IN FLAMES.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 JEEP WRANGLER. WHILE FUELING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT NOTICED FUEL SPRAYING OUT OF THE OPENING INTO THE FUEL PUMP. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL TANK FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 128,000.

WHEN DRIVING THE JEEP ON THE EXPRESSWAY, THE ENTIRE FRONT END STARTED SHIMMYING FROM SIDE TO SIDE, THREATENING TO PULL THE STEERING WHEEL OUT OF MY HANDS. IT STOPPED WHEN I REDUCED SPEED TO UNDER 55 MPH. WHENEVER I TRIED TO GO OVER 55 MPH, THE JEEP RESUMED IT'S DEATH WOBBLE. THIS IS NOT A SAFE CONDITION TO BE DRIVING A VEHICLE IN. *TR
