My steering wheel locked while driving on the interstate during heavy traffic and almost causing me and my children to wreck. It has now done this while driving slow causing me to almost lose control of my jeep.
The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the instrument panel became inoperable when starting the vehicle. The contact stated that the instrument panel was blank. The dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000.
I have owned my 2020 Jeep Wrangler since it was brand new. The middle instrument cluster panel (where it shows miles, fuel gauge, etc) quit working. I have checked fuses, disconnected the battery overnight, and disconnected the auxiliary battery and the instrument cluster is still not working. There is an established recall (30B) for 2018-2024 jeep wranglers for the instrument cluster failing but it doesn't appear my VIN is included. Checking Jeep forums, it appears to be a common issue, but an expensive one to fix.
Steering gear box. Very sloppy while driving . not safe
My daughter was driving the 2020 jeep wrangler we bought her & the instructor cluster panel went blank. We have had the vehicle less than 1yr & it has only 38,000 miles on it. There is a established recall (30B) for 2018-2024 jeep wranglers for the instrument cluster failing but for some reason our vin is not included? Can you help with coverage for this?
WHILE DRIVING ON HWY AT HIGH RATE OF SPEED WHILE IN MODERATE TO HEAVY TRAFFIC- THE ENGINE FAILED, LOCKED UP AND STALLED IN THE FAST LANE- THERMOSTAT OVERHEATED WITHOUT WARNING OR LIGHTS- ENGINE LOST COMPRESSION- SHOULD BE RECALL AS THIS IS PREVALENT IN THIS MODEL ENGINE- 2020 JEEP WRANGLER SAHARA UNLIMITED 4 CYL 2.0 TURBO
The instrument panel has suddenly stopped working. Speedometer, Odometer, fuel, nothing displays. There is an active recall for this very issue 24V652000. However, my VIN is reportedly not included and the dealership says its not covered.
The instrument cluster no longer displays any information, it is blank. My safety is at risk as I can not see how much gas I have, mileage, oil pressure or any other warnings that are used by the display. Prior to going completely blank intermittently it would show a greenish color. Other Jeep Wranglers have had this problem, but my VIN was not part of the recall.
The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the instrument panel was black and failed to operate. The vehicle mileage and oil change intervals were not available due to the failure. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V652000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM); however, the VIN was not associated with the recall repair. The dealer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
Instrument cluster has gone blank. Unable to see digital speedometer, fuel level, engine temperature, current gear, 4WD status, and other items. Dealership said it was not part of recall 24V652000, they stated the only outstanding recall for this vehicle was 25V741000. Vehicle is scheduled to go in for that recall and further diagnosis of the instrument cluster issue.
Instrument cluster completely failed and went black while driving, causing loss of speedometer, fuel gauge, and warning indicators. •Started intermittent, now permanently failed •Mileage (~65,000) •No warning before failure •Occurs every time vehicle is driven •Safety issue: cannot monitor speed or fuel There currently is not a recall for my vin but other vins are covered and get fixed???
Wife’s 2020 Jeep Wrangler’s IPC above the steering wheel went blank. No speed, no fuel gauge, no odometer or warning lights, no turn signal indicators. Chrysler Safety Recall (30B) (NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 24V652000) states there is a problem with these including our year Wrangler, 2020. Dealer said we are out of luck because when they type in our vin number into their database, no safety recalls are listed. This problem is all over the internet 2018-2024 Wrangler (JL) models. What gives???? Don’t even know how much gas we have! 6 year old car should NOT have the IPC shut off! If that’s not a safety concern, don’t know what is????
The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the instrument panel became inoperable. The contact was unable to view the odometer, fuel level, or speedometer. The warning lights were inoperable. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V652000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM); as a possible cause for the failure, however the VIN was not included in the recall. The contact owned a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that there were strong fumes coming from the vehicle, causing the contact to sustain severe headaches and nausea. The contact had gone to the Doctor's Office, where blood work was completed. The contact was informed that no issues were found, and the Doctor inquired whether the contact had been exposed to any chemicals. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that fuel was leaking from a cracked quick connect and was entering the high fuel pump. The dealer determined that the high-pressure fuel pump lines needed to be replaced. The dealer related the failure to an unknown recall; however, the VIN was not included. The vehicle was not repaired due to the cost. The contact stated while driving approximately 10-20 MPH off a ramp, the contact noticed smoke in front of the vehicle. The contact looked at the instrument cluster, and upon looking up, the contact noticed fire coming from underneath the hood. The contact depressed the brake pedal and jumped out of the vehicle while the vehicle was still rolling. The contact had not pulled over. The contact did not sustain injuries from the fire. A nearby Police Officer notified the Fire Department and Emergency Services because the contact had jumped out of the moving vehicle without the cellphone. The fire was extinguished by the Fire Department. The front end and the hood of the vehicle were burned to the ground. It was unknown whether a Fire Department Report was filed. A Police Report was filed. The vehicle was towed and deemed a total loss by the Insurance Provider. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 134,959.
I am the original owner of a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. My instrument cluster has completely failed. I know that there is an active recall for this exact issue (30B) but my VIN number is not included. This is clearly a safety defect as my cluster is non-functional, I do not have a speedometer or warning indicators.i have no idea how much or how little gas I have, if my tire pressure is low…I am the original owner, as stated ,and this is not normal wear. I am also aware that there is an open investigation into this recall and I believe my Jeep should be included in the recall. Prior to the cluster going out, there was not any warning. I started the jeep and it was working and as I was driving it went off. It never came back on. We checked connections and fuses, it’s not that. My husband has addressed it with two separate dealerships and was told there was nothing they could do and offered no suggestions. I went today and spoke with a new dealership and they put me in contact with Jeep Customer Care. I have begun the process but will most likely still be paying out of pocket with money, I frankly do not have. This is a safety issue and should be taken care of by Jeep, and is being covered for some by the recall.
The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the instrument panel displayed a blank screen. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The dealer was made aware of the failure. The contact was informed that the repair was not covered under warranty or recall. The contact referenced an unknown recall with a similar failure; however, the VIN was not under recall. The contact stated that the vehicle was unsafe to drive with the instrument cluster being inoperable. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
My jeep steering wheel and entire vehicle shake violently at high speeds and after a bump.
My speedometer/odometer screen went completely black. I have no idea how fast I’m going or how much gas I have. This is a know and very dangerous issue.
The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the instrument panel was blank. The contact pulled over and restarted the vehicle; however, the failure persisted. The contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V652000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was driven to an independent mechanic and was diagnosed with instrument cluster failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer was not notified of the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 52,000.
Shortly after leaving my house I glanced at the digital readout for my speed and noticed that the instrument cluster was blank. I pulled over, stopped my Jeep, then restarted it to see if that would correct it, which it did not. I took it to a reputable auto/electrical garage who at first noticed a master fuse block blown and replaced the fuse block. That didn't correct the instrument cluster however but they did find a recall 30B for 2020 Jeep Wrangler. I called Stellantis (1 800 334 9200) today, Feb 16th . I was told by 3 different people in 3 different departments that even though there is a safety recall on 2020 Jeeps my VIN# isn't included. I asked why not and was told that it depended where the Jeep was made. They also told me that the repair will be at my expense. This doesn't seem fair to me because the recall is a safety issue to replace the instrument panel cluster free of charge. Just because my Jeep VIN# wasn't included doesn't mean it wasn't going to fail like the others that were included!! I have no readouts on my dashboard and am sure it won't even pass inspection now because of that, let alone serious safety concerns without warning lights. I have to ask you, SHOULDN'T MY JEEP BE INCLUDED IN THIS SAFETY RECALL AND BE CORRECTED BY THE MANUFACTURER?!?! Thank you in advance for your consideration in this matter! The instrument panel, recently went dark on us while driving. We had seen previous recalls on this issue, but never received anything. Are we covered under this recall?
The IPC intermittently goes blank and I lose driver information like remaining fuel and speed limit and other safety information. The IPC also turns green and gets distortion.
My instrument cluster failed on My 2020 Jeep Wrangler. I can't see any of my vehicle information. This makes safety a real concern for me. There is an existing recall for 2020 Jeep Wranglers. My vin is not included? Could it be evaluated please.
My instrument cluster has failed. I can't see any vehicle information. No gas or oil gauges. No information what so ever. I can't see my speed or if may my be overheating. This is basic safety issues I should be able to see. There has been a recall for 2020 Jeep Wrangler's so other people have has the same issue. I can't drive without the basic safety instruments working. I don't even know how many miles are on my Jeep
The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the instrument cluster displayed a black screen. The vehicle was taken to the independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed with instrument cluster failure. The contact was informed that the instrument cluster needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was advised to contact the dealer for assistance. The dealer was made aware of the failure; however, the contact was informed that the repair was not covered under a recall. The contact referenced an unknown recall howeve,r the VIN was not under recall. In addition, the contact was informed that most likely the failure was the result of rodents chewing on the wires, and that the repair was not covered under the recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The contact was informed that the repair was not covered under a recall. The failure mileage was approximately 49,272.
The 3.5" screen on my jeep went out. Which prevented me from seeing speed, mileage and gas. They have recalled other jeeps from 2018-2024 but mine is not included because it has been in service for more then 24 months. We bought the jeep in 2023 with 20 some thousand miles on it. Why is there a time limit on a faulty part? Not everyone drives their cars 30,000+ a year, so problems with parts won't be known as early as 2 years. We replaced it and it cost $1600 plus a week of not having my car.
The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, the instrument cluster failed to operate as designed. The contact stated that the instrument cluster was black at start-up, preventing the gauges or safety features information from being displayed. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or an independent mechanic to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 119,000.
Death wobble really bad
Premature failure of right bank of intake camshaft and rocker arms/tappet valves requiring a $2000 repair on a 2020 Jeep Wrangler JLU with 64,596 miles.
The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the instrument cluster displayed a black screen. Due to the failure, the contact was unable to determine the speed of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was determined that the instrument cluster was inoperable and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed with instrument cluster failure. The contact was informed that the instrument cluster needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 90,600.
The instrument cluster has completely failed presenting a dangerous situation for driving. There are no warning lights, no speed indicator, no signal indicator, etc, etc. A simple Google search will show that this is a very widespread and well known issue with this vehicle, and a safety recall notice should be issued and the replacement should be covered by the manufacturer. The vehicle was inspected by the dealership and they confirmed it is the instrument cluster.
My digital dashboard display is, shorting out. Started acting up on December 25th, 2025.
I started out with a slow coolant leak coming from the middle front of the Jeep, that I was not aware of, until it got worse. Now it’s a steady stream only when the engine is on.
The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving 70 MPH, the contact noticed that the instrument panel was glitching and flickering before displaying a blank screen. A dealer was contacted. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V652000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The approximate failure mileage was 74,000.
The vehicle was running fine and then the cluster went out. It came back for a couple hours and now it’s been out for a couple weeks. It still lights up but does not show any writing. I know this is part of a recall but like the last time something happened to my jeep with the gas( huge safety violation) that costed $1400 to fix- Jeep obviously doesn’t care about safety. I’m over this Jeep if they don’t want to include the vehicle in the recall twice now.
Steering wheel electrical failure. Melted wiring inside steering wheel. Potential airbag and steering safety failure. Serious safety defect. Fire risk! While getting ready to leave a retail parking lot with heated steering wheel on, we became overwhelmed with fumes. Noticed the steering wheel was hot. Immediately shut off the car and opened the doors. When the fumes subsided, started the car and made sure the heated steering wheel was off. It no longer worked at all, when car was re-started. This could have been life threatening had we been traveling on the highway and not in a parking lot. Took vehicle to our dealer- Central Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge for repair. Dealer service advisor unable to diagnose exact cause due to extent of damage. Also commented shock that we didn’t experience a fire that could have caused the airbag to explode as well. Service advisor stated steering wheel heating element short and steering wheel wiring to clock spring melted due to excessive heat in circuit. I requested photos. I received one photo. I do not believe there were further inspections. Repairs were completed at my expense. Both dealership and Stellantis refuse to cover the cost of repairs citing I had no warranty coverage. I believe this goes beyond normal wear and tear. I did smell something mild, like sugar burning earlier in our errands yet it dissipated quickly and I assumed it was outside, in the air. It wasn’t until the overwhelm of fumes upon starting the car in a retail parking lot that we became aware there was a serious problem and immediately turned the car off.
Instrument Cluster Panel stoppped working about a week ago. The Cluster between the MPH Guage and Rpm Guage went blank.
My dash with my dash lights, speed, warning lights, odometer, gas tank and oil temp went out in my jeep. It flicked off with red lines. Come on randomly but stays off. Took to jeep told me it was the jeep instrument cluster. No recalls on my specific jeep but [XXX] shows there is a recall of this part. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
The dashboard screen just went blank. It doesn’t display any information at all
The instrument cluster has failed. I am unable to see critical warnings for my Jeep. I am unable to determine the milage. Fortunately, the speedometer is separate and I am able to see the speed. I see there is a recall for 2020 Wranglers but, for some reason my VIN is not included. I'm being told by the dealer that the repair will cost $1600. Reading online, this issues seems to be a problem with Wranglers.
1. Instrument console screen or display has disabled. Cannot read speed, fuel level, etc. 2. Driver cannot discern status of vehicle. Speed, gear , and fuel data not readable which driver would need for safe driving. 3. This has not been reproduced by dealer. Confirmed by independent service center. 4. Vehicle has standard NYS safety inspection. 5. No prior warning or signs led to the outage of control panel.
The instrument panel cluster went totally dark, I only have 53,000 miles on this vehicle. I can't see any warning lights, digital speed, and most dangerously how much gas I have in the vehicle. The dealer wants $2000.00 to replace it but this seems to be a common issue with Jeeps and the 7.0 cluster should be recalled along with the 3.5 cluster. I have the 7.0 that has not been recalled yet.
3 different spot leaking coolant leading to loss of collant for engine and the engine did over heat
My 2020 jeep wrangler just had its center instrument cluster go dark. This seems to be a known issue, and I believe there is a recall for 2024 models. The recall needs to be expanded as far back as the issue is being reported. This is dangerous situation with not being able to see the gas gauge, milage and additional critical information. To make matters even more unmanageable because the jeep needs to have the exact mileage known before replacing the instrument cluster the recommendation is to drop your car off at the dealer and not drive it until the part is replaced. Because this is such a large issue the current lead-time is 5 months to get a replacement part in. No one should be expected to leave their jeep at a dealership for 5 months. Our jeep dealer actually recommended getting an after-market replacement. I am reporting this to add my voice to many others who have experienced this same issue. I am also sure this is probably way under reported. Anything you can do to extend this recall back to at least 2020 would be greatly appreciated
Instrument panel cluster went blank. Driver has no access to safety information, vehicle instruments or warning notifications. Dealership visualized blank screen and agreed. Vehicle falls into same Recall category of NHTSA 24V-652, but FCA states this VIN has not specifically been recalled. No symptoms prior to blank screen, but unidentified warning noise has activated multiple times with driver unable to identify what warning is being alerted. Dealership states no codes of engine malfunction are present.
The instrument cluster is is not working. I am unable to see how much gas is in the vehicle nor am I able to see any critical warnings for the vehicle
The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, the center display turned blank. The contact stated that the vehicle had displayed the symptoms of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V652000 (Electrical System). The local dealer was contacted and confirmed that the VIN was not included in the recall. Additionally, the contact was informed that there would be a charge for a diagnostic test. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.
The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving approximately 60 MPH, the vehicle experienced the "Death Wobble". The contact stated that the front end of the vehicle violently shuddered and vibrated. The contact stated that the failure had occurred while driving on uneven pavement on two separate occasions. The local dealer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 60,000.
While driving car, instrument cluster went blank. It does not display important vehicle information like speed.
Center dashboard experienced an instrument cluster failure causing the center dashboard information to go completely blank so that the mileage, amount of gas, speed, warning lights, etc. are all no longer visible. There appears to have been a recall for a similar issue for Jeep Wrangler years 2018-2024 but I have been told my VIN is not part of that recall even though it appears to be the same cluster failure issue.
