LOUD CLANKING NOISE IN FRONT DRIVER SIDE TIRE/SUSPENSION AREA WHEN GOING OVER BUMPS NEW TIRES, AND ALIGNMENT, NEW SHOCKS AND STRUTS, A FRAME BUSHING AND SWAY BAR REPLACED AS WELL, CLANKING NOISE REMAINS.
REAR DRIVER'S SIDE EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLE BROKE OFF WHILE TRYING TO OPEN THE DOOR FROM THE OUTSIDE. THE BROKEN DOOR HANDLE RENDERS THAT DOOR USELESS, AND IN AN EMERGENCY, THE DOOR COULD NOT BE OPENED FROM THE EXTERIOR. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY/ PARKED WHEN THE DOOR HANDLE BROKE. AN INTERNET SEARCH SHOWS THAT THIS IS A FREQUENT OCCURRENCE WITH THE KIA SORRENTO. THE LOCAL KIA DEALERSHIP, WHEN ASKED, STATED THAT THEY HAVE SEEN THIS HAPPEN, BUT THERE IS NOT YET A RECALL. HOWEVER, THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THE DOOR "LATCH", WHICH DID NOT COVER THE HANDLE ITSELF. A RECALL OF A DOOR "LATCH" SHOULD INCLUDE THE HANDLE, IF BROKEN.
MY KIA WAS BEING DETAILS, THE PERSON DETAILING THE VEHICLE GOT INTO THE VEHICLE. HE PUSHED THE START BUTTON DIDN'T START THE VEHICLE. HE STARTED IT BY INSERTING THE FOB IN THE CONSOLE. THE VEHICLE STARTED AT HIGH RPMS, DRIVER HAD HIS FOOT ON THE BRAKE, PLACED THE CAR INTO REVERSE AND THE CAR EXITED THE GARAGE AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED, DRIVER APPLIED BOTH FEET ON THE BRAKES THE BRAKES DID NOT WORK HE TRIED TO STEER THE VEHICLE AWAY FROM THE CREEK THE STEERING DID NOT WORK.. THE VEHICLE DID STOP AFTER IT CRASHED INTO THE CREEK THAT WAS NEAR THE BUSINESS. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED INJURY TO HIS HEAD WHEN HE TRIED TO EXIT THE VEHICLE AFTER IT ENTERED THE CREEK. VEHICLE WAS PULLED FROM THE CREEK. DRIVER DID SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION AT A LOCAL HOSPITAL.
SUDDEN FAILURE OF THE CRANK SHAFT, ROD, AND ROD BEARING. FAILURE RESULTED IN A ROD BEARING BLOWING A HOLE THROUGH THE MOTOR BLOCK AND OIL PAIN RESULTING IN OIL DRAINAGE AND SUBSEQUENT CATASTROPHIC FAILURE OF THE ENTIRE MOTOR. IN THE DAYS LEADING UP TO THIS EVENT I DIDN'T NOTICE ANY NOISES OR CHANGE IN VEHICLE BEHAVIOR. ALL FUNCTIONED AS NORMAL. I MERGED ONTO A HIGHWAY AND REACHED A SPEED OF APPROX 65 MPH FOR APPROX 2 MILES ALL WAS NORMAL AND FINE. I THEN HEARD A LOUD BANG AND NOTICED VEHICLE LOSING POWER. I PULLED VEHICLE OFF THE ROAD TO A SAFE AREA AND HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED APPROX 1 MILE TO A LOCAL SERVICE STATION. THE INFORMATION I RELATED IN THE BEGINNING IS THE OFFICIAL DIAGNOSIS FROM THE MECHANIC. I HAVE AN AFTER MARKET WARRANTY UNFORTUNATELY DUE TO THE HIGH COST OF REPAIRS THEY ARE FIGHTING PAYING FOR NEEDED REPAIRS, WHICH IS CAUSING ME TO INCUR A VERY LARGE FINANCIAL LOSS. MY VEHICLE WAS VERY WELL KEPT, AND ONLY HAD A LITTLE OVER 108,000 ORIGINAL MILES. ALL SERVICE RECORDS ARE KEPT. RELIGIOUSLY KEPT UP WITH TYPICAL PM SUCH AS TIRES, OIL CHANGE, BRAKES, ROTORS, ECT. ALL NON-TYPICAL PM REPAIRS WERE ALWAYS DONE AT A KIA DEALERSHIP BY A CERTIFIED KIA TECHNICIAN, AND ALWAYS REQUESTED TO CHECK VIN FOR ANY RECALLS AND WHEN FOUND HAD RECALL REPAIRS MADE. AS I STATED THERE WAS NOTHING IN THE BEHAVIOR OF THE VEHICLE IN THE YEARS, MONTHS, WEEKS, OR DAYS LEADING UP TO THIS INCIDENT THAT WOULD INDICATE A CATASTROPHIC FAILURE OF THIS NATURE WAS IMPENDING.
PASSENGER DOOR FRONT AND REAR DON'T OPEN FROM THE OUTSIDE OR INSIDE. SAFETY CONCERN IF WE ARE IN AN ACCIDENT AND CAN'T GET OUT. THIS WAS NOTICED ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO.
AT 100,900 MILES MY AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON, CAR BROUGHT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND I WAS INFORMED BY AIR BAG SENSOR IS DEFECTIVE. IN ORDER TO FIX THE PROBLEM I WILL NEED TO PAY $1900 TO GET ENTIRE DRIVERS SEAT REPLACED. I CURRENTLY AM DRIVING WITH NO AIR BAGS IN THE ENTIRE CAR.
CLOCK SPRING MALFUNCTION CAUSING AIRBAG LIGHT TO ILLUMINATE ON DASH. STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS DO NOT WORK. THIS IS A CONSTANT AND DAILY ISSUE. IT HAPPENS WHILE DRIVING AS WELL AS PARKED. LOW BEAM SOCKET MELTED. SINCE BEEN REPLACED BY ME. BOTH ISSUES ARE UNDER A RECALL BUT MY VIN IS NOT LISTED. MY VEHICLES YEAR MAKE AND MODEL ARE LISTED IN A CURRENT RECALL BUT MY VIN DOES NOT FALL WITHIN IT.

COOPER KIA (5056 COMMERCIAL DR, YORKVILLE, NY) WAS CONTACTED, BUT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V224000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING) AS A POSSIBLE SOLUTION. THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 115,000. *TT *TR
OUR INTERIOR LIGHTS QUIT WORKING SHORTLY AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE SO WE HAD IT REPAIRED. 2 WEEKS LATER WE HAD AN ELECTRICAL FIRE AND DAMAGE TO WIREING THE MECHANIC DIDN'T REPLACE. $5,000 LATER, NOW THE HEADLIGHTS FLICKER WHILE DRIVING IF YOU USE THE TURNING SIGNAL. HUGE SAFETY ISSUE!!!! ALSO WHILE DRIVING THE CAR OUT OF THE BLUE JERKS QUICK AND HARD. WE DON'T FEEL SAFE IN THIS VEHICLE ANYMORE.
WHILE DRIVING ABOUT 40MPH ON A HIGHWAY WITH A SPEED LIMIT OF 55 MPH, THE ENGINE SIZED WITHOUT ANY WARNING. THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE AND WENT ABOUT 1 MILE AND STARTED MAKING A CLUNKING SOUND. CAR WAS PULLED OVER IMMEDIATELY AND THE ALL THE WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON AND THE CAR WAS INOPERABLE. COOPER KIA (5056 COMMERCIAL DR., YORKVILLE NY) WAS CONTACTED BUT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. SRS/AIRBAG LIGHTS RANDOMLY CAME ON AMD SHUT OFF ALSO DOOR STOPPED OPENING
IN SEPT 2017 THE BACK DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR STOPPED OPENING FROM THE OUTSIDE. NOW, JAN 2018 THE DRIVERS DOOR WILL NOT OPEN FROM THE OUTSIDE. BOTH DOORS OPEN PERFECT FROM THE INSIDE.
JANUARY 26, 2018 I WAS STOPPED AT A STOP SIGN AND SUDDENLY MY VEHICLE MADE A THUD SOUND, AND IT FELT LIKE A DOWNWARD THRUST AS THE VEHICLE COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN. I WAS ABLE TO RESTART IT AND DROVE HOME. WE TOOK IT TO OUR KIA DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPT THIS MORNING AND ASKED FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TEST. THE TECHNICIAN SAID SINCE THERE WERE NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS ON, THE TEST WOULDN'T SHOW ANYTHING UNLESS WE HAD THE PROBLEM BEFORE. I WAS VERY CONCERNED ABOUT HIS LACK OF CONCERN. ESPECIALLY AFTER I RESEARCHED SORENTO ENGINE FAILURES AND IT IS HUGE FOR SO MANY MODELS. THE 2011 WAS ABOUT THE ONLY ONE NOT ON THE RECALLS.. MY MODEL WAS THE FIRST MADE IN THE US AT THE GEORGIA PLANT. MY PRODUCTION DATE IS 12/19/09. WE BOUGHT OUR 2011 IN FEBRUARY 2010. WE WERE TOLD SINCE THE BODY WAS BEING CHANGED THEY MADE NO 2010 SORENTO'S AT THE GEORGIA PLANT. SINCE I SAW THE STALL PROBLEMS ON THESE 2009 MODELS WOULDN'T THAT MEAN IT WOULD APPLY TO MY ENGINE? VERY CONFUSING. I HOPE YOU CAN CHECK THIS OUT FOR ME.
VEHICLE WAS STATIOMARY AND NOT ON. STARTED SMOKING FROM DASH AND SMOKE COMING OUT DOOR, CAUGHT ON FIRE WENT UP TO THE ROOF AND ACROSS TO THE PASSENGER SEAT. WHEN FIRE DEPARTMENT CAME THEY HAD TO CUT OPEN THE HOOD, CAR RANDOMLY STARTED WHILE ON FIRE TO UNHOOK THE BATTERY.
DRIVER'S DOOR CAN'T OPEN FROM OUTSIDE
I WAS GOING TO MY SISTER-IN-LAWS HOUSE TO PICK UP MY SON. WHILE GOING ABOUT 55MPH DOWN A RURAL ROAD I SEEN A FLASH ON THE ROAD THAT SEEMED TO COME FROM THE FRONT LEFT TIRE AND REALIZED MY KIA HAD CAUGHT FIRE. I PULLED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND IMMEDIATELY RAN TO THE NEAREST HOUSE FOR HELP. IT WAS ONLY A MATTER OF SECONDS AND MY WHOLE VEHICLE WAS ON FIRE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 KIA SORENTO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE LATCHES ON BOTH REAR DOORS DID NOT LOCK. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CALLED, BUT DID NOT RETURN THE CONTACT'S CALL. THE FAILURE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 100,000.
DOOR HANDLES NOT OPENING BRAKES NOT WANTING TO STOP OR GRABING ESC ABS DOWNHILL ON AND PASSGER AIR BAG
WHILE RETURNING FROM MY AUNTS FUNERAL IN KANSAS, MAKING MY WAY TO GEORGIA. THE CAR BEGAN TO SLOW DOWN AND STOP, ON THE HIGHWAY. THEN IT CUT OFF, WOULDN'T START OR MOVE. THERE WAS THIS WHINING AND CLANKING SOUND, WHITE SMOKE AND FIRE SHOT OUT FROM UNDER THE CAR, AS I WAS TOLD BY A PERSON THAT WAS PASSING BY, HE STOPPED TO MAKE SURE THAT I GOT OUT OF THE CAR. IT JUST GOT TO 130,000 MILES. HAD IT TOWED TO A SHOP AND WAS TOLD THAT THE ENGINE WAS GONE.
ALL CONTROLS ON STEERING WHEEL STOPPED WORKING AROUND 120,000 MILES. BLUETOOTH, RADIO CONTROLS AND CRUISE CONTROL. ALL POWER SOCKETS AND USB SOCKET STOPPED WORKING AROUND 110,000 MILES. WHINING SOUND COMING FROM ENGINE AREA WHEN CAR IS ON STARTED AROUND 128,000 MILES.
"TAKATA RECALL" WHEN I'M DRIVING AND ACCELERATE THE CAR DON'T SHIFTING THE GEAR OR ITS DELAYING. SOMETIME IT NOT SHIFTING FROM 4 HT SPEED AND UP. "TAKATA RECALL" THE ENGINE MAKES A LOUD WHINNING SOUND CONSTANTLY, START UP, DRIVING, AND WHILE SITTING STILL. AT TIMES WHILE DRIVING IT WILL FEEL LIKE THE CAR SKIPS (LIKE THE ENGINE WILL SHUT OFF, IT ALSO WILL NOT SHIFT THROUGH GEARS, SOMETIMES IT WILL SIT AT THE RPM OF 3 AND DOESN'T WANT TO SHIFT OUT OF GEARS. THIS IS WHILE USING BOTH THE AUTOMATIC AND MANUAL DRIVING.
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON VEHICLE ILLUMINATED. WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE, THE VEHICLE ENGINE SUDDENLY STOPPED AND VEHICLE TURNED OFF WHILE IN MOTION. DRIVER PULLED VEHICLE TO SIDE OF ROAD AND HAD TOWED TO AUTO SHOP. AUTO SHOP SAID THE ENGINE SEIZED BUT COULD NOT IDENTIFY CAUSE OF SEIZURE. SHOP SAID OIL WAS FULL AND RECENTLY CHANGED. OWNER HAD VEHICLE TOWED TO KIA DEALER WHO ALSO CITED ENGINE SEIZURE. KIA DEALER SAID OWNER WOULD NEED TO PAY FOR DIAGNOSTIC TO DETERMINE EXACT CAUSE. ENGINE SEIZURE MATCHED ENGINE SEIZURE ISSUE IN RECALLED 2012-2014 SORENTO VEHICLES. OWNER ASKED DEALER ABOUT REPAIRS UNDER SIMILAR RECALL/ISSUE AND WAS TOLD THERE WAS NOTHING DEALER COULD DO.
WAS DRIVING MY KIA AND SUDDENLY COULD NO LONGER DRIVE PULLED OVER N TRAFFIC AND COULD ONLY PUT THE E BRAKE ON. NOTHING ELSE WOULD GO IN TO GEAR DRIVE REVERSE AND THE BRAKES WERE NOT WORKING PROPERLY. AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON AFTER GOING OVER A SET OF RAIL ROAD TRACKS.
COIL SPRING FROM FRONT STRUT ON 2011 SORENTO BROKE IN THREE PLACES WHILE IN MOTION IN THE CITY (DRIVING STRAIGHT) AT A SPEED OF APPROXIMATELY 20 KM/HR AND PIERCED SIDE WALL OF TIRE ON DRIVER SIDE. NO INJURIES BUT VERY DANGEROUS INDEED.
COIL SPRING FROM FRONT STRUT ON 2011 SORENTO BROKE AND LEFT PIECE OF SPRING ON GROUND, CAUSING A MAJOR SAFETY HAZARD. SPRING CAN CUT TIRE SIDE WALL AND CAUSE A CRASH WITH MAJOR INJURIES/DAMAGE TO PASSENGERS, DRIVER, AND VEHICLE.
TRUCK DOORS UNLOCK WHILE DRIVING, ALARM GOES OFF RANDOMLY WHILE DRIVING OR PARKED, ALL THE FUSES BLEW, STARTER HAS BEEN CHANGED 3 TIMES, DUE TO FAULTY WIRING BENEATH THE MOTOR. BATTERY HAS BEEN CHANGED DUE TO WIRING.
VEHICLE WAS RUNNING FINE, NO NOISES, NO UNUSUAL ISSUES. WENT TO START IN THE MORNING AND RAN FINE. WENT TO MY DESTINATION. WHEN I CAME OUT 2-HOURS LATER, VEHICLE WOULD NOT START. HAD IT TOWED TO A MECHANIC WHO SAID THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. 108,000 MILES
KIA HAS BEEN SELLING CARS WITH FAULTY AIR BAGS. MY CLOCK SPRING WENT OUT, AND I HAD TO PAY WELL OVER $600 TO PASS INSPECTION, THAT VIRGINIA REQUIRES. THE MECHANIC TOLD ME THE AIRBAG COULD HAVE WENT OFF WITHOUT EVEN HITTING ANYTHING.
WITH THE VEHICLE STATIONARY PASSENGER DOOR WILL NOT OPEN FROM THE OUTSIDE. CAN OPEN FROM THE INSIDE ONLY.
I AM HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS I HAVE READ ABOUT WITH THE 2011 2.4 ENGINE. SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER WHEN THE PEDAL IS DEPRESSED, STALLING UPON ACCELERATION, JERKING MOTION AND A LOUD CLANKING NOISE WHEN SHIFTING FROM PARK, HARD SHIFTS FROM 1ST AND 2ND GEAR, AND A CONSTANT WHIRRING NOISE IN THE MOTOR WHILE DRIVING, NOT WHILE IN PARK. I BELIEVE THE SAME DEFECT THAT AFFECTED THE TRANSMISSION ON THE 4 CYLINDER ENGINES NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED ON THE V6 ENGINES.
THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON WITH ABOUT 115,000 MILES ON THE VEHICLE. I BROUGHT IT TO THE KIA DEALER AND THEY INFORMED ME THAT THE CODE WAS DTC B1764 THE PASSENGER OCS MAT WAS DEFECTIVE AND GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE OF $2,000 TO REPAIR.
MY AIR BAG LIGHT IS ON WITH CODE B1764. AIR BAG LIGHT IS ON ALL THE TIME. THIS MEANS THAT I HAVE NO AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT LEAVING MY FAMILY IN DANGER OF INJURY OR DEATH IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT HAS A CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF COMPLAINTS AND SHOULD BE RECALLED.

THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO KIA OF GREENVILLE (424 LAURENS RD, GREENVILLE, SC)WHERE THE FRONT DRIVER AND PASSENGER DOOR HANDLES WERE REPLACED PER A CUSTOMER SATISFACTION CAMPAIGN. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR HANDLE EXPERIENCED THE SAME ISSUE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 130,000.
FOR NO REASON AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON AND STAYS ON. CHECKED WITH DIAGNOSTIC TOOL- CODE B1481-DRIVER AIRBAG RESISTANCE TOO HIGH(2ND STAGE) SHOWED UP. CAR HAS 84000 MILES. READING A LOT OF COMPLAINS ABOUT AIRBAG PROBLEMS. SHOULD BE A RECALL.
THE CAR HAS A NO-STAR CONDITION, UNEVEN ENGAGEMENT WHEN SHIFTING GEARS. WHENEVER DRIVING AND IF I WANT TO SUDDENTLY SPEED TO AVOID AN OBJECT OR TO ADJUST TO TRAFFIC SPEEDS THE CAR HESITATES FOR A SECOND OR TWO. I ALMOST CRASH TODAY DUE TO THIS PROBLEM, PUTTING AT RISK MY WHOLE FAMILY... I BELIEVE THERE A SOME RECALLS ON SIMILAR VEHICLES WITH THIS PROBLEM BUT MY VIN IS NOT ON THE LIST YET
PASSENGER DOOR WON'T OPEN FROM OUTSIDE WHEN VEHICLE STATIONARY. ACTIVATOR PIECE IN DOOR LATCH BROKEN. MANY COMPLAINTS FROM OTHERS.
MY DRIVERS SIDE BACK DOOR WON'T OPEN FROM THE OUTSIDE OR INSIDE(THIS IS MY CURRENT ISSUE WITH THE CAR). I HAVE BEEN IN NO ACCIDENTS WITH THIS CAR. I HAD TROUBLE WITH MY DRIVER'S DOOR WOULD NOT OPEN LAST YEAR AND THAT WAS UNDER RECALL AND REPAIRED. BOTH ISSUES JUST STARTED ALL OF A SUDDEN.
HEAD LIGHTS GO OUT EVERY MONTH AND HAVE TO BE REPLACED. LIGHTS GO OFF WHILE DRIVING WHICH IS VERY SCARY WHEN IT HAPPENS AT NIGHT OR ON A HIGHWAY.
ONE DAY WE WENT TO OPEN THE DRIVER SIDE BACK DOOR FROM THE OUTSIDE AND IT NO LONGER OPENED. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE DONE TO THE DOOR IT JUST STOPPED WORKING. WHEN I CONTACTED KIA THEY DIDNT SEE IT AS BEING A SAFETY ISSUE. IN MY EYES IT S AHUGE ISSUE IF MY GIRLS AND I WERE IN A WRECK AND SAFETY CREWS WOULDNT BE ABLE TO OPEN THE DOOR FROM THE OUTSIDE!
BACK DRIVER SIDE DOOR WILL NOT OPEN, I WENT ONLINE AND SEARCHED MY VEHICLE AND THIS SEEMS TO BE AN ONGOING PROBLEM. MIDDLE BACK SEAT BELT IS STUCK DOWN IN THE SEAT AND YOU CAN'T NOT GET IT OUT

FRONT BRAKES LOCKED UP WHILE TURNING ONTO THE HIGHWAY VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION, HAD TO SHUT OFF THE AUTOMATIC SKID CONTROL TO UNLOCK THE BRAKES TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE
AIRBAG LIGHT STAY ON
SWAY BAR FAILURE THE VEHICLE HAS A "KNOCKING NOISE" WHEN TRAVELING OVER SLIGHT BUMPS AND CORNING. UPON INSPECTION, THE SWAY BAR (STABILIZER LINK BAR) IS LOOSE AND IN NEED OF REPLACEMENT. THIS IS A ROUTINE ISSUE WITH THE KIA VEHICLES HOWEVER EVEN AFTER REPLACEMENT THE ISSUE RETURNS. THE SWAY BAR (STABILIZER LINK BAR) IS PART OF THE SUSPENSION SYSTEM WHICH HELPS REDUCE BODY ROLL OF A VEHICLE DURING FAST CORNING AND OVER ROAD IRREGULARITIES.
SINCE PURCHASE, ON THREE OCCASIONS DO REAR DOORORS LOCKED IN THE CLOSED POSITION. THE FRONT 2 DOORS AND THE REAR DOOR ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE. EACH FRONT DOOR WAS FIXED BY KIA WITH NO EXPENSE TO OWNER. THEY REFUSE TO REPAIR THIS REAR DOOR STATING IT WILL COST THE OWNER APX. $ 1,800. THIS IS A REAL DANGER SINCE PASSENGERS IN THE REAR SEATS CANNOT EXIT CAR IN AN EMERGENCY. DOOR CANNOT BE OPENED UNDER ANY CONDITIONS.
AIRBAG LIGHT WENT ON FOR NO REASON. COIL SPRING IS UNDER RECALL, BUT MINE WAS THE PASSENGER SEAT SENSOR. $2000 TO REPLACE THE SEAT. SHOULD BE COVERED OR BYPASS OPTION OFFERED. I DON'T NEED THE SENSOR.
I HAVE OWNED THIS VECHICLE SINCE IT WAS NEW. KIA HAS REPLACED AT LEAST 3 REAR VIEW CAMERAS IN MY REAR LIFT GATE. THE LAST ONE WAS ON 2/10/2016. NOW THIS CAMERA IS MALFUNCTIONING, ALL I SEE IS INTERFERENCE. I CAN'T SEE ANYTHING PASSING ACROSS THE REAR OF MY VECHICLE LIKE A CHILD OR SHORT ADULT. KIA CAN'T DEVELOP A FUNCTIONING CAMERA SO THEYSHOULD HAVE TO KEEP REPLACING THEM UNTIL THEY DO. I WOULDN'T HAVE PURCHASED THIS VECHICLE WITHOUT A CAMERA IT'S REAR WINDOW IS VERY HIGH. THIS IS A DAILY ONGOING PROBLEM.
