MY CARE IS ONLY 6 YEARS OLD AND I HAVE ALREADY HAD TO REPAIR AND REPLACE MY DOOR LATCHES ON THE DRIVER DOOR AND THE PASSENGERS DRIVER SIDE DOOR. THIS HAS WORN ENTIRELY TOO FAST. NONE WERE MISUSED. I HAVE CHILDRENAND BOTH COMPLETELY FAILED TO WORK CREATING A HAZARD TO ENTERING THE VEHICLE.
MY PASSENGER SIDE REAR DOOR WILL NOT OPEN FROM OUTSIDE, SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED, OTHER TIME WAS FRONT PASSENGER DOOR. THE CAR WAS PARKED WHEN I NOTICED PROBLEM.

THE CONTACT SUSTAINED BRUISES TO HER STERNUM, WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER TO BE REPAIRED FOR COSMETIC DAMAGES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 74,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS RECALLED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V626000 (POWER TRAIN). THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TOWED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
Snow White Pearl exterior paint coming off in chunks, progressively getting worse and worse along top roof where front windshield is and along the bottom where the rear windshield is. It literally bubbles up and flakes completely off exposing the body. This has been continually going on for years without resolve and there is no way to stop the issue.

THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 63,000.
BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR FOUND NOT TO BE WORKING. WONDERING IF OTHERS HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM. NO HEAT OR A/C.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE LOCAL DEALER TO HAVE IT DIAGNOSED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 95,766.
CANNOT OPEN DRIVERS OR FRONT PASSENGER SIDE DOOR FROM THE OUTSIDE. VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY IN MY DRIVEWAY WHEN THIS OCCURRED. I HAVE TO CRAWL IN MY BACK DRIVER SIDE DOOR TO OPEN DRIVERS SIDE DOOR FROM THE INSIDE. THIS IS DANGEROUS NOT TO MENTION VERY INCONVENIENT. I HAVE READ ONLINE THAT THERE HAS BEEN NUMEROUS SIMILAR COMPLAINTS. DEALERSHIPS CHARGING A FORTUNE TO REPLACE THE OUTSIDE LOCK. I SIMPLY CANNOT BELIEVE THAT A RECALL HAS NOT BEEN ISSUED FOR THIS PROBLEM WITH KIA.
STARTED CAR AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON STAYED ON. NO REASON FOR TO BE ON.
DRIVERS SIDE DOOR NO LONGER OPENS FROM OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE. SAFETY ISSUE
TAKATA RECALL, CAR IS MAKING A WHINNING NOISE WHEN IN IDLE ALSO WHEN EXCELLERATING. I BELIEVE THIS COULD BE INTERMEDIATE DRIVESHIFT WHICH IS RECALLED ON SOME CARS BUT NOT MINE. IT DOES SEEM TO BE EFFECTING THE TRANSMITTION SOMETIMES.
THE ENGINE BEGAN TO BE HARD TO START LEAVING WORK FOR HOME. THEN THE NEXT MORNING IT WAS HARD TO START AND WOULD ALMOST STALL AT IDLE. AFTER PARKING AT WORK I ATTEMPTED TO START IT AND DRIVE TO THE KIA DEALERSHIP FOR DIAGNOSIS, IT WOULD NOT KEEP RUNNING MORE THAN A FEW SECONDS. THE ENGINE HAS SUFFERED A CATASTROPHIC FAILURE. THE DEALER SAYS THAT IT IS LIKELY THAT THE CRANK SHAFT BEARINGS FAILED, OR POSSIBLY THE CONNECTING ROD BEARINGS. THE ENGINE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 KIA SORENTO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FAILED AND DIFFERENT WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED, SUCH AS THE ALL WHEEL DRIVE AND CHECK ENGINE. ALSO, THE ODOMETER FAILED AND THE SPEEDOMETER WOULD NOT DISPLAY SPEEDS PAST 20 MPH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THREE DIFFERENT DEALERS (MIDTOWN KIA IN TULSA, OK, BOOMER KIA IN OKLAHOMA CITY, OK, AND BOB MOORE KIA IN OKLAHOMA CITY, OK). THE DEALERS WERE UNABLE TO REPLACE THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND REPROGRAM IT BECAUSE IT WAS AGAINST STATE LAWS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 140,000.
THE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON IN MY VEHICLE AND DISABLED THE ENTIRE SYSTEM. I TOOK IT TO THE KIA DEALERSHIP AND THEY DIAGNOSED IT, AND FOUND OUT IT WAS DISABLED DUE TO AN ELECTRIC FIELD SENSOR THAT IS SENSITIVE TO ALL KINDS OF ELECTRONICS. THE TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN IS TSB: BOD 072. IT HAS IN THERE THAT "IF CERTAIN ELECTRONIC DEVICES SUCH AS CELLULAR PHONES, LAPTOP COMPUTERS, INVERTERS, DVD PLAYERS, RADIO TRANSMITTERS, GPS NAVIGATION SYSTEMS, SATELLITE RADIO SYSTEMS, VIDEO GAMES, AND MP3 PLAYERS ARE PUT ON/AROUND A PASSENGER SEAT CUSHION (INCLUDING IN THE SEATBACK POCKET) OR IF LIQUID IS SPILLED ON THE SEAT CUSHION, THE AIRBAG WARNING LAMP MAY ILLUMINATE WITH DTC B1447, B1448, B1764, OR B1767" TO ME, THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY RISK, AS SOMEONE MIGHT HAVE A CELL PHONE ON THEM OR TOO CLOSE, AND IT DISABLES THE AIRBAG SYSTEM. THIS IS FOR KIA SORENTO (XM) 2011 TO CURRENT, KIA OPTIMA (MG) 2009, 2010, AND KIA RIO (JB) 2010 TO CURRENT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 KIA SORENTO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT BOTH FRONT AND REAR DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE DOOR HANDLES FAILED TO OPERATE FROM OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT WAS ONLY ABLE TO ENTER THE VEHICLE THROUGH AN OPEN WINDOW WITH THE INSIDE HANDLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE DOOR ACTUATORS AND DOOR HANDLES NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 205,000.

THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESTART. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 96,752. CONSUMER STATED NEW ENGINE INSTALLED 4/18/17, ALSO , THE AIR CONDITIONING DOES NOT WORK BECAUSE OF ENGINE REPLACEMENT. FOR OVER A YEAR NOW AND HAPPENING MORE FREQUENTLY, ALMOST EVERY DAY, WHEN ACCELERATING AT 35-40 MPH THERE IS A HESITATION AND THEN A JERK IN THE TRANSMISSION. ALSO, WHEN FOOT IS TAKEN OFF THE ACCELERATOR IT FEELS LIKE THE CAR IS GOING TO DIE. THIS HAPPENS WHEN DRIVING IN THE CITY AND THE HIGHWAYS. I TOLD THE DEALER EVERY TIME I WENT IN FOR A OIL CHANGE. INFORMED DEALER LAST WEEK AND I WAS TOLD I STILL HAD TIME (WARRANTY).
ALL OF THE KIA SORRENTO 2011 SUSPENSION STRUTS, SHOCKS, STRUT MOUNTING PLATE FRONT LEFT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. IT SOUNDED LIKE LOOSE BOLTS AND THE NOISE WOULD THEN BE A LOUD KNOCKING ESPECIALLY ON ROAD GOING UP AND DOWN HILLS AND TURNS. ALSO HAD TO REPLACE THE TPMS SENSORS, FRONT AND REAR TENSION RODS ON BOTH SIDES. THIS IS THE MOST COSTLY CAR EVER ONLINE NUMEROUS REPORTS OF SAME ISSUE THIS SHOULD HAVE A RECALL HERE IS ONE REFLECTING SAME PROBLEM WITH SEDONA MODEL - I SUGGEST YOU CHECK THIS FORUM UNDER SEDONA 2002-2005 "SEDONA FRONT STRUT". KIA HAS A HISTORY OF STRUT NOISE RELATED PROBLEMS. THEY FINALLY CAME OUT WITH A TSB (KT2007020501) ON THE FRONT STRUT ISSUE FOR 2002-2005 SEDONA'S IN EARLY 2007 !!! WE HAVE TO REMEMBER THAT TSB'S ARE FOR ACKNOWLEDGED PROBLEMS BY A MANUFACTURER AND THAT THEY HAVE A FIX FOR SAID PROBLEM, THUS THE TSB TO CARRY OUT FIX. IF THE PROBLEM IS NOT SAFETY RELATED THEN NO TSB. SAFETY RELATED ISSUES ARE HANDLED UNDER RECALLS. AN ISSUE THAT IS TOO EXPENSIVE TO FIX AND IS NOT A SAFETY ISSUE IS LABELED "NORMAL OPERATING CHARACTERISTICS OF VEHICLE" IT'S THAT SIMPLE AND UNTIL YOU ALL START YELLING TO KIA AND NOT THE SERVICE REP WHO IS STUCK BETWEEN A ROCK AND A HARD SPOT YOU WILL NOT GET RESULTS. MY OTHER SUGESTION TO YOU GUYS IS A MASS LETTER WRITING CAMPAIN TO CONSUMER REPORTS AUTOMOTIVE UNIT.

MY DRIVER SIDE DOOR JUST STOPPED WORKING FROM THE OUTSIDE. IT UNLOCKS, BUT THE HANDLE DOES NOT OPEN THE DOOR. THIS IS SUCH AN INCONVENIENCE, NOT TO MENTION A SAFETY ISSUE. I SEARCHED AND SEE TONS OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SAME THING, BUT NO RECALL. I AM SO SURPRISED AT KIA FOR NOT TAKING RESPONSIBILITY
KIA SORENTO 2011 ESC DBS LIGHTS ON DASHBOARD AND EITHER CANNOT GET OUT OF PARK OR WHEN TRYING TO SHUT VEHICLE DOWN WILL GET STUCK IN BETWEEN NEUTRAL AND DRIVE, I SHUT DOWN CAR BUT OBVIOUSLY CANNOT TAKE KEYS OUT, WAIT A FEW MINUTES RESTART IN NEUTRAL AND SOMETIMES I CAN GET IT IN OR OUT OF PARK. SOMETIMES THIS IS DONE SEVERAL TIMES.
A WHIRRING/WHINING NOISE FROM TRANSMISSION/DRIVE SHAFT AREA WHEN DRIVING ABOVE 20 M.P.H., GOING STRAIGHT AHEAD' ON SMOOTH PAVEMENT. I JUST PURCHASED THIS CAR FROM A KIA DEALER AND A SEARCH DOES NOT SHOW THAT NHTSA ACTION # PE11010 WAS EVER DONE. CAMPAIGN ID# IS11V258000. PLEASE ADVISE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
ON FEBRUARY 27, 2017, MY 2011 KIA SORENTO'S ENGINE DIED. I HAD ONLY ONE WARNING THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM AND THAT WAS A LACK OF POWER. I WAS GOING UP A SLIGHT HILL AND I HAD TO FLOOR THE GAS PEDAL TO MAINTAIN 20MPH UP IT. I WENT OUT AT 830PM THAT NIGHT TO TAKE IT TO MY MECHANIC AND MY SORENTO WOULD NOT START. I HAD IT TOWED TO GORRING AUTOMOTIVE AT 1030PM. ON MARCH 1, 2017, MR. GORRING CALLED AND TOLD ME I WOULD NEED A NEW ENGINE. I CONTACTED CENTURY 3 KIA AND SPOKE TO THE SERVICE MANAGER DAN. HE STATED THAT I NEEDED TO BRING IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP TO HAVE IT LOOKED AT. I ALSO CONTACTED KIA CONSUMER NUMBER AND SPOKE TO ERIC. ERIC TOLD ME THE SAME INFORMATION AND I STATED I DID NOT WANT TO PAY FOR THE DIAGNOSIS AGAIN. I HAD MY SORENTO TOWED TO CENTURY 3 KIA ON MARCH 1, 2017. DAN STATED THAT HE WAS SURPRISED THAT MY VIN WAS NOT ON THE EXTENDED WARRANTY LIST. ON MARCH 3, 2017, DAN FROM CENTURY 3 KIA CALLED ME AND SAID THAT I DID NEED A NEW ENGINE. CHARLES FROM KIA'S CONSUMER NUMBER AND DAN FROM CENTURY 3 KIA BOTH STATED THAT IF I WAS THE ORIGINAL OWNER THEY WOULD REPLACE THE ENGINE AT NO COST TO ME BUT SINCE I AM THE SECOND OWNER OF THE SORENTO, IT WOULD BE MY RESPONSIBILITY. I INQUIRED AT THE COST OF LABOR AND WAS TOLD 15 HOURS AT $108 AN HOUR. I HAVE LOOKED AROUND AND FOUND THAT MOST ENGINES WITH ROUGHLY THE SAME MILEAGE AS MINE ARE AROUND $2,500. THE TOTAL COST WILL ROUGHLY BE BETWEEN $4,500 AND $6,500 TOTAL WITH ALL THE FLUIDS AND OTHER PARTS NEEDED TO RETURN MY SORENTO TO A FUNCTIONAL STATE. I PURCHASED THE SORENTO WITH 53,857 MILES ON IT AND HAD IT FOR ONE YEAR. I PUT 12,000 MILE ON IT ROUGHLY. MY SORENTO HAD ROUGHLY 65,500 MILES ON IT WHEN THIS HAPPENED. I HAVE DONE SOME RESEARCH AND FOUND THIS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE 2.4L ENGINES. IF THIS IS TRUE, WHY HAS KIA NOT DONE ANYTHING ABOUT IT.
ONE DAY THE DRIVERS DOOR JUST WON'T OPEN FROM THE OUTSIDE. IT BROKE FROM THE INSIDE I HAD NO ACCIDENTS OR DAMAGE THAT COULD AFFECT THE DOOR AT ALL AND I'VE BEEN DOING SOME RESEARCH AND IT SEEMS TO BE A COMMON ISSUE WITH THIS PARTICULAR MODEL.
CHROME CRACKING ON DRIVER'S INSIDE DOOR HANDLE CAUSING SEVERE CUT ON HAND WHEN ATTEMPTING TO OPEN VEHICLE DOOR.
THE TRANSMISSION IS BANGING EVEN WHEN NOT SHIFTING. I WAS DRIVING AND HEARD A BANG AND A JOLT, I THOUGHT I HIT SOMETHING, BUT THERE WAS NOTHING AROUND ME. IT'S STARTING TO HAPPEN MORE OFTEN. I THINK THERE'S SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE TRANSMISSION. I LOOKED ONLINE AND FOUND A BUNCH OF COMPLAINTS FOR THE SAME THING. I DON'T FEEL I SHOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR A DEFECTIVE TRANSMISSION WHEN IT APPEARS IT'S A COMMON PROBLEM.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPIAGN NUMBER: 17V224000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING) AS A POSSIBLE SOLUTION TO THE FAILURE; HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 55,000.
HELLO, IT SEEMS THAT THE RECALL SC 089 THAT WAS DONE ON MY KIA DID NOT FIX THE ISSUE WITH THE TRANSMISSION. KIA SHOULD COME UP WITH THE BETTER SOLUTION CAUSE THERE IS A HIGH RISK OF THE TRANSMISSION FAILURE. WE HAD THE SAME ISSUE WITH OUR TRANSMISSION AS DESCRIBED ON SC 089 AND ALMOST CRASHED ON THE HIGHWAY. KIA DEALER SAID IT IS NOT THEIR ISSUE CAUSE THE REPAIR WAS DONE. SO EVEN KIA AFTERSALES PROCESSES DO NOT WORK AS THEY KEEP THE DANGERS CARS ON THE ROAD.
WE ALMOST DIED ON THE HIGHWAY TODAY! WE WERE TURNING TO HIGHWAY WE STOPPED AND AGAIN. UNFORTUNATELY THE CAR MOVED ONLY 3 YARDS AND STOPPED. MECHANIC SAYS IT WAS THE TRANSMISSION AND THE RECALL SC 089 WAS NOT DONE PROPERLY OR NEVER DONE BEFORE EVEN KIA DEALER SAYS OTHERWISE.

WHILE DRIVING ONE EVENING, MY AIRBAG LIGHT COMES ON, THEN IT TURNED OFF, AND THIS HAPPENED FOR ABOUT A WEEK. NOW IT IS ON 100% OF THE TIME.
YOU SAY YOU WANT ME TO REPORT IT WHEN THE MANUFACTURER FAILS TO PERFORM THE RECALL WORK, BUT YOU HAVE NO WAY FOR ANYONE TO DO THAT. YOU ARE AS BAD AS THE MANUFACTURER WHO FAILED ME. I CAN'T COUNT ON YOU TO DO ANYTHING, YOU'VE MADE THAT VERY APPARENT.
SYMPTOMATIC OF PREVIOUS PCM/ECU FAILURE. PCM WAS REPLACED 3 MONTHS AFTER PURCHASING 2011 KIA SORENTO NEW.
AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT CAME ON UNEXPECTEDLY EVEN THOUGH THE AIRBAGS HAVE NEVER BEEN DEPLOYED AND THERE HAS BEEN NO DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE. THERE ARE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ONLINE ABOUT THIS SAME ISSUE DESCRIBING A BROKEN CLOCK SPRING OR PASSENGER OCCUPANT SENSOR MAT. KIA HAS HAD THIS SAME ISSUE WITH OTHER MODELS AS WELL AND THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL ASAP. I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO FIX THE PROBLEM AT THIS TIME SINCE I HAVE MOUNTING MEDICAL BILLS. KIA NEEDS TO ADD THIS VEHICLE TO THE RECALL LIST.

AN OIL CONSUMPTION TEST WAS PROVIDED BY BENSON KIA OF SPARTANBURG (1100 N PINE ST, SPARTANBURG, SC 29303, (864) 585-3611) AND IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THERE WAS A CRACK IN THE RADIATOR. AFTER THE OIL CONSUMPTION TEST WAS RENDERED, THE OIL LEAKED UNDER THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER REFUSED TO COMPLY WITH AN EXTENDED WARRANTY CAMPAIGN FOR THE ENGINE ASSEMBLY AND OIL CONSUMPTION FAILURES DUE TO THE VEHICLE'S MAINTENANCE RECORD. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER PROVIDED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
COLD START CHATTER... KIA ISSUED A REDESIGNED PARTS. BECAUSE OF A BAD DESIGN ISSUE ON THIS PROBLEM..I FEEL IF THE IS AN ISSUE WITH THE ENGINE AND CREATES THIS TYPE AN ISSUE IT CA BE A PROBLEM. IT MAKES THE NOISE EVERYTIME I START IT AFTER IT SETS FOR LONG PERIOD..
I HAVE TWO DOORS THAT WILL NOT OPEN FROM THE OUTSIDE. I SEARCHED ONLINE AND SEE THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM BUT I DO NOT SEE A RECALL. I THINK SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE TO FORCE KIA TO RECALL AND FIX THIS PROBLEM
THE RIGHT AND LEFT REAR OUTSIDE DOOR HANDLE COVER/CAP AS COME OFF THE CAR. SEEMS IT WOULD BE SOME KIND OF MANUFACTURING ISSUE THAT BOTH HANDLES WOULD COME OFF. THE REPLACEMENT PART IS ONLY ABOUT $15 BUT THE DEALER WANTS $100+ TO INSTALL THE REPLACEMENT. ONE DOOR HANDLE CAME OFF IN OCTOBER 2016 AND THE OTHER CAME OFF THIS LAST WEEK IN JANUARY 2017. I DON'T MIND PAYING FOR THE REPLACEMENT PART BUT NOT THE INSTALLATION COSTS.
I WAS INFORMED BRAKE LIGHTS WERE NOT ILLUMINATING. ELECTRIC STABILITY CONTROL IDIOT LIGHT SHOWED UP ON DASHBOARD RIGHT BEFORE BEING INFORMED. CAR IS ALSO NOT SHIFTING INTO PARK OR REVERSE. DRIVE GEAR SEEMS OK.

DRIVER SIDE DOOR ON MY 2011 KIA SORENTO STOPPED WORKING YESTERDAY,. WOULD NOT OPEN BY REMOTE OR KEY. I HAD TO CLIMB IN AND CRAWL OVER TO DRIVERS DOOR TO GET INTO CAR. THIS IS A SERIOUS DEFECT THAT COULD RESULT IN DEATH OR INJURY TO ME AND MY PASSENGERS DURING A VERY COMMON EVENT IN HOUSTON - FLOODING. IF I WAS PINNED IN MY CAR GOING UNDER WATER AND NO ONE COULD OPEN THE DOOR BY ANY MEANS THEN I WOULD DROWN. JUST HOW MANY COMPLAINTS DO U NEED TO HAVE TO RECALL YOUR OBVIOUS DEFECT? I HAVE SEEN AN ALARMING NUMBER OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE COMPLAINED TO YOU ON THE SAME BUT NO ACTIONS ARE TAKEN BY KIA TO REMEDIATE THIS DANGEROUS DEFAULT. PEOPLE HAVE BEEN CHARGED UP TO $900 TO KIA DEALERSHIP TO FIX THEIR SHODDY COST SAVING CHEAP DOOR ONLY TO HAVE THE OTHER DOOR(S) ON THEIR CAR GO OUT WITHIN WEEKS. IN OTHER WORDS, WE SHOULD ALWAYS BE READY FOR THIS MUCH REPORTED SAFETY HAZARD! IT IS GOING TO FLOOD IN HOUSTON TOMORROW...HOPE I AM NOT TRAPPED IN MY CAR DUE TO YOUR NEGLIGENCE. ON 1/16/2017 I WENT TO A DR APPOINTMENT. WHEN I CAME OUT I UNLOCKED THE CAR AND THE OUTSIDE HANDLE ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR WOULDN'T WORK. THE DOOR WAS UNLOCKED BUT THE HANDLE WOULD NOT WORK. I HAD TO GO INTO THE CAR FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE AND CLIMB OVER TO OPEN THE DOOR FROM THE INSIDE. THIS WAS NOT EASY AS I AM A SHORT 67 YEAR OLD WOMAN. TOOK THE CAR INTO A MECHANIC AND HE HAD TO ORDER THE ENTIRE LATCH ASSEMBLY $243.50. I CHECKED ON THE NHTSA SITE AND THERE ARE SO MANY OTHER CARS THAT HAVE HAD THIS SAFETY ISSUE ALSO. IT LOOKS LIKE THAT THIS PROBLEM IS BECOMING A BIGGER PROBLEM AS OUR CARS AGE. HOPEFULLY MY OTHER DOORS WON'T BREAK ALSO AS WAS THE CASE FOR SEVERAL OTHER OWNERS. AIR BAG ALARM APPEAR ON DASHBOARD ISN'T GOING AWAY
I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE HEAD LIGHTS ON MY VEHICLE LONG BEFORE THEY SHOULD HAVE EVER BEEN NEEDED TO. IN FACT I LITERALLY JUST GOT IT BACK FROM DEALER TODAY AFTER THEY DID RECALLS ON THE VEHICLE AND THE DRIVER SIDE IS OUT, WHICH WAS REPLACED BY AUTO ZONE NOT EVEN A MONTH AGO. THE SIDE BLINKER THAT IS NEXT TO THE HEADLIGHT IS ALSO OUT NOW TOO. I'M NOT SURE OF THEY KNOCKED SOMETHING LOOSE, BUT IT WAS WORKING THIS MORNING. HOWEVER, NOW READING THE OTHER COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE HEADLIGHTS BURNING OUT TOO QUICKLY, I'M STARTING TO WONDER.
