THE STEERING STICKS AT TIMES. ITS NOT SMOOTH AND I HAVE TO PUT EXTRA PRESSURE ON THE STEERING WHEEL TO GET THE STEERING TO TURN. THIS OCCURS WHEN DRIVING MOSTLY ON THE HIGHWAY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 KIA SORENTO. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE DRIVER SIDE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS AND THE REAR DRIVER SIDE BRAKE LIGHT FAILED TO OPERATE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS AND REAR DRIVER SIDE BRAKE LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON AN INTERMITTENT BASIS. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 59,800.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 KIA SORENTO. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 69 MPH, A CLICKING NOISE WAS HEARD FROM THE ENGINE AND THE VEHICLE STOPPED. THE VEHICLE WAS PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE CONTACT CALLED NAPLETON KIA OF FISHERS AT 317-449-0694 (13417 BRITTON PARK RD, FISHERS, INDIANA, 46038) AND WAS INFORMED TO BRING THE VEHICLE IN FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE SAME DEALER AND THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS DUE TO POOR MAINTENANCE AND WOULD NOT BE COVERED BY THE WARRANTY. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 40,000.
PARTS OF MY CAR ARE FALLING OFF, FIRST THE BUMPER GUARD ON THE FRONT,THE BOLTS CAME OFF AND HAD TO BE REPLACED,WHEN THE CAR WAS NEW, THEN THE PASSENGER DOOR HANDLE FELL OFFSEVERAL MONTHS AGO NOW SOMETHING CALLED THE WIN SOMETHING FELL ON MY FEET AS I WASDRIVING HOME TODAY. IT DOES NOT SEEM RIGHT THAT ITEMS SHOULD JUST FALL OFF OF A CAR!!THIS HAS HAPPENED OVER SEVERAL MONTHS SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR . I BOUGHT THE CAR NEW.
When I am driving at night the dashboard, media system/radio, and headlight go out randomly. It is really scary at night because I cannot see where I am driving. My kids are in the car with me and this has been happening for the past 3 years. If I take it to the dealership they cannot find the issue or refuse to even look. They said it is out of warranty and too bad. Why build vehicles so dangerous?
IT WAS COLD OUTSIDE AND WENT TO GET IN THE PARKED CAR IN THE MORNING AND THE BACK WINDSHIELD SHATTERED WHEN I CLOSED THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 KIA SORENTO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE HEADLIGHTS FAILED TO ILLUMINATE WHILE DRIVING. THE CONTACT STATED THAT DRIVER'S AND PASSENGER'S SIDE HEADLIGHT BULBS WERE REPLACED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BUCHANAN KIA (119 RAILROAD AVE, WESTMINSTER, MD 21157) WHERE THE HEADLIGHT BULBS WERE REPLACED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NEXT TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR THE BULB REPLACEMENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 105,000.
I WAS DRIVING ON RT 18 (HWY)IN NJ, GOING APPROXIMATELY 71 MPH WHEN THE ENGINE SIEZED. I WAS ABLE TO PUT MY HAZARDS ON AND COAST TO THE SHOULDER BUT HAD I JUST STOPPED, THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN A HORRIFIC ACCIDENT. THE DEALER SERVICE DEPARTMENT ADVISED THAT THEY FOUND THE OIL TO BE A LITTLE DIRTY AND THAT THERE WERE METAL SHAVINGS FOUND AS WELL. IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT THE METAL SHAVINGS CAUSED A MAJOR RECALL IN 2014 AND OLDER KIA SORENTO'S. IT APPEARS TO BE THE SAME ISSUE AS A PREVIOUS RECALL FOR THE 2014 AND OLDER MODELS.
WE HAVE A KIA SORENTO 2016. THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE LIGHT STAYS ON THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAGS IS OFF, WHEN A PERSON SITS ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. I HAVE A GEL CUSHION ON THE PASSENGER SIDE SEAT WHEN AND A PASSENGER SITS IN IT. THE DEALER TESTED IT AND THE LIGHT WENT OFF WHEN THE GEL SEAT WAS REMOVED AND THE SEAT SAT ON. MY QUESTION IS - WHY DOESN'T THE AIR SAFETY CUSHION WORK WHEN THE GEL CUSHION ON THE PASSENGER SEAT? IS THIS A SAFETY ISSUE FOR A PERSON SITTING IN THE PASSENGER SEAT? SOME PEOPLE NEED TO SIT ON CUSHIONS WHEN IN A CAR BECAUSE OF A POSSIBLE DISABILITY.

I WAS DRIVING MY VEHICLE UP A HILL WITH MY 2 YOUNG CHILDREN AND THE CAR JUST TURNED OFF. I WAS UNABLE TO PUSH THE BRAKE. NO ENGINE LIGHT OR OIL LIGHT OR ANYTHING CAME ON! DRIFTED INTO A PARKING LOT. IT WAS 2 DEGREES OUT. ONE OF THE COLDEST DAYS OF THE YEAR. TOWED THE CAR TO KIA. GAVE THEM 3 OR 4 RECEIPT AS FOR OIL CHANGES. THEY DENIED THE ENGINE FOR WARRANTY! STATING SLUDGE IN ENGINE. THE VEHICLE WAS JUST AT THE DEALERSHIP 6 MONTHS AGO FOR 6 RECALLS AND THEY CHECKED EVERYTHING BEFORE I PICKED THE VEHICLE UP. EVERY WHERE I LOOK ON THE COMPLAINT FORUMS IS ALL ABOUT OIL CONSUMPTION PROBLEMS AND ENGINE FAILURES WITH THESE VEHICLES! WISH I WOULD HAVE KNOW THIS! I HAVE NO $ FOR A NEW ENGINE.

WHEN DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEED (60+MPH), STEERING "LOCKS" AND APPEARS TO BE NON-RESPONSIVE. IT IS NECESSARY TO "JERK" THE WHEEL TO "WAKE UP" THE STEERING TO COMPLETE ANY CORRECTION. THE VEHICLE VEERS BETWEEN THE LINES CONSTANTLY DUE TO THIS ACTION WHICH MUST BE REPEATED EVERY 10 SECONDS OR SO. IT'S LIKE DRIVING DRUNK!!! PASSENGERS ARE JERKED BACK AND FORTH CONSTANTLY. ON TRIPS OVER AN HOUR, SEVERE ELBOW CRAMPING RESULTS FROM THE REPEATED MOTION REQUIRED TO MAINTAIN VEHICLE IN THE LANE. IN THE RAIN, WHEN HYDROPLANING ON SHALLOW PUDDLES ON THE FWY, THE OVER CORRECTION CAUSES SEVERE SWERVING WHEN TRACTION IS RETURNED AND OVERCORRECTION HAS RESULTED FROM "JERKING" THE WHEEL BACK "AWAKE". VERY DANGEROUS!!! CAUSES TEMPORARY LOSS OF CONTROL AND SWERVING INTO THE NEXT TRAFFIC LANE. THIS IS AN ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN. THIS CONDITION STARTED AT ABOUT 25000 MI. AND IS GETTING WORSE NOW AT 30000. MORE EXTREME BY THE WEEK. BECOMING DIFFICULT TO DRIVE. DEALER SAYS EVERYTHING IS FINE!!!

WE ARE SECOND OWNERS OF A 2016 KIA SORRENTO. DEC 6, 2017, I WAS DRIVING HOME AND TRAVELING ABOUT 60MPH ON A 2LANE HWY WHEN I FELT A VERY SEVERE CLUNK IN THE FRONT AREA OF THE CAR AND I LOST THE ABILITY TO ACCELERATE. I CHECKED THE CAR AND FOUND NOTHING UNORDINARY. I DROVE AT DECREASED SPEED (40MPH) FOR ANOTHER 3 MILES WHEN AGAIN THE CAR DID 2 QUICK, HEAVY THUMPS AND THE ENGINE QUIT ALONG WITH ALL POWER AND ELECTRICAL. I GOT IT OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND THE ENGINE RESTARTED, SO I DROVE HOME. I CALLED THE KIA DEALER IN ST. AUGUSTINE AND THE SERVICE LADY SAID THAT SHE HAD HEARD THE EXACT PROBLEM TWICE BEFORE. I TALKED TO THE SERVICE MANAGER AND RELAYED WHAT HIS TEC HAD TOLD ME, THEN DROVE TO THEIR DEALERSHIP (40 MILES) WITH NO PROBLEM, BUT FEAR OF BEING ON HIGHWAY WITH THE VEHICLE. THEY DROVE THE VEHICLE AND CHECKED IT OUT BUT FOUND NO PROBLEMS I CAME HOME AND READ ON THE INTERNET REVIEWS OF KIA APPARENTLY BEING UNWILLING TO DEAL WITH PROBLEMS.. IT BECAME MORE APPARENT WHY THE YOUNG LADY I TALKED TO ON THE PHONE SEEMED UNWILLING TO REPEAT OR DISCUSS WHAT SHE HAD TOLD ME. AFTER CONSULTING WITH SEVERAL KNOWLEDGEABLE PEOPLE, THAT IT WAS PROBABLY AN INADVERTENT DOWN-SHIFT AND GEARS THAT CAUSED THE PROBLEM. THIS COULD CAUSE A VERY DANGEROUS AND OR DEADLY SITUATION ON THE ROADWAY, AND ESPECIALLY ON THE INTERSTATE WHEN THE CAR JUST QUITS AND YOU LOOSE ALL POWER. THE DEALER STATED "BRING IT DIRECTLY IN IF IT HAPPENS AGAIN." IF YOU'RE TRAVELING ON THE INTERSTATE WITH TRUCKS, CARS AND BUSSES BEHIND YOU, AT A HIGH SPEED AND IT HAPPENS, YOU'LL BE LUCKY TO SURVIVE IT.... DUH!
A PART WHICH WAS REPLACED DURING A RECALL, FAILED. THE KIA DEALERSHIP WANTS TO CHARGE ME $800 TO REPLACE THAT PART. PLUS, NOT COVER A CAR RENTAL. I FEEL THE CHARGE IS UNJUSTIFIED. THE CAR HESITATED AND CUT OFF 300 MILES FROM MY HOME. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, AND I FEARED CONTINUING TO DRIVE THE CAR
2016 KIA SORENTO POWER LIFTGATE WILL NOT ALWAYS OPEN WHEN KEYFOB OR BUTTON INSIDE THE CAR IS PUSHED. I HAVE TO MANUALLY OPEN IT AND THEN IT WILL WORK FINE FOR A FEW DAYS. PROBLEM HAS EXISTED FOR A FEW YEARS. DEALERSHIP CANNOT REPLICATE THE ISSUE, SO THEY NOTE IT BUT NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE TO FIX IT. I HAVE READ ABOUT MANY OTHER SORENTOS WITH CUSTOMERS MAKING THE SAME COMPLAINT. VEHICLE IS ALWAYS STATIONARY WHEN THIS OCCURS.
VEHICLE STALLED WHILE DRIVING WITH SPEED ON NORMANDIE AVE IN TORRANCE CALL TRIPLE FOR THEM TO TOW IT TO KIA DEALER. RECEIVED A CALLED FROM DEALER SAYING THE ENGINE BLOWN OUT. AT 50000 MILES. TECHNICIAN FROM KIA MENTIONED IT'S A RECALL.
WHILE DRIVING MY VEHICLE TURNED OFFNO INDICATION OF ANY KIND ON DASH BOARD JUST AUTOMATICALLY TURNED OFF
MY REAR WINDOW SHATTERED FOR WHAT APPEARS TO BE NO REASON AT ALL. MY VEHICLE WAS PARKED ON THE STREET, AND WHEN I WENT OUT TO LEAVE, I NOTICED MY WINDOW WAS CRACKED. BY DAY 2, THE GLASS WAS CAVING, AND HAD A HOLE THE SIZE OF A QUARTER IN THE MIDDLE.
YESTERDAY I WAS APPROACHING A YELLOW LIGHT. THE LIGHT CHANGED TO RED AS I WAS COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP. I WAS AT A COMPLETE STOP WAITING FOR THE LIGHT TO CHANGE SO I COULD MAKE A LEFT TURN. SUDDENLY THE TRUCK SHUT OFF COMPLETELY. I THEN PUT MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE AND PUT THE TRUCK IN PARK SO I COULD TRY TO RESTART IT. THE TRUCK RESTARTED WITH NO PROBLEMS. THIS IS THE SECOND INCIDENCE OF THE TRUCK SHUTTING OFF COMPLETELY. THE FIRST OCCURRENCE WAS IN JANUARY OR FEBRUARY OF THIS YEAR. I HAD ENTERED A LEFT TURNING LANE AND WAS AT A COMPLETE STOP WAITING TO TURN LEFT WHEN THE TRUCK SHUT OFF COMPLETELY. I AGAIN PLACED MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE AND PLACED THE TRUCK IN PARK. I WAS THEN ABLE TO RESTART THE TRUCK. I REPORTED THE FIRST INCIDENT TO NALLEY KIA STONECREST IN LITHONIA GA WHEN I WAS AT MY SERVICE APPOINTMENT. THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE TRUCK.I HAVE ALSO REPORTED THIS MOST RECENT INCIDENT TO THEM SO THEY LOOK INTO IT AT MY UPCOMING SERVICE APPOINTMENT ON OCTOBER 14TH 2017.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2016 KIA SORENTO. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD A KNOCKING NOISE UNDER THE HOOD OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT COASTED THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD; HOWEVER, NO FAILURE WAS NOTICED AND THE CONTACT RESUMED DRIVING. APPROXIMATELY ONE MILE DOWN THE ROAD, THE CONTACT STOPPED AT A STOP SIGN. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE. THE CONTACT WAITED A FEW SECONDS AND DEPRESSED THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL AGAIN. THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED AND AN EXPLOSION SOUND WAS HEARD UNDER THE HOOD. THE CONTACT COASTED THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND WAS ALERTED BY ANOTHER DRIVER THAT THE VEHICLE WAS ON FIRE. THE VEHICLE STARTED TO OMIT BLACK SMOKE THROUGH THE VENTS. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO EXIT THE VEHICLE WITHOUT INJURIES. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A TOW LOT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY AND DID NOT OFFER FURTHER ASSISTANCE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 163,000.
I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE FROM MARK JACKOBSON TOYOTA ON OR ABOUT 8/20/2017. ACCORDING TO THE RECALL NOTICE IN THE GOVERNMENT DATA BASE, THE RECALL FOR THE "REAR ASSIST ARM BRACKET WELD MAY BREAK" WAS ISSUED ON OR ABOUT 7/21/2016. I BELIEVE THAT THE DEALERSHIP THAT SOLD ME THIS VEHICLE SHOULD HAVE NEVER LET MY WIFE DRIVE THE ABOVE VEHICLE OFF THE CAR LOT DUE TO THE POTENTIAL OF CATASTROPHIC FAILURE. I WOULD LIKE THIS LETTER TO REPRESENT MY FIRST STEP IN FILLING A FORMAL COMPLAINT WITH THE DEALERSHIP. WE NOTICED THAT HERE WAS A NOISE ON THE SAME DAY THAT THE PAPER WORK FOR THE VEHICLE WAS SIGNED.MY WIFE HAD THE DEALERSHIP MECHANIC LOOK AT THE VEHICLE AT THE SAME TIME THE PAPER WAS BEING SIGNED. THE MECHANIC STATED THAT IT SOUNDED LIKE A BAD BEARING OR SOMETHING AND INSTRUCTED MY WIFE TO CALL THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT. THE RECEPTIONIST STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS STILL UNDER A KIA WARRANTY AND THAT WE NEEDED TO GO TO KIA. IT WAS AT THE KIA DEALER SHIP THAT WE FOUND OUT ABOUT THE RECALL. HOWEVER MARK JACKOBSON PRODUCED A DOCUMENT THAT I HAD SIGNED STATING THE RECALL. BUT I INTERPRETED THE DOCUMENT AS MEANING THAT THE RECALL HAD BEEN TAKEN CARE, OF. I BELIEVE THAT MARK JACOSON IN GOOD FAITH SHOULD HAVE NEVER HAD LET MY WIFE DRIVE THE VEHICLE OFF THE LOT. THERE WASN'T ANY PROPERTY DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE AS SHE ONLY DROVE IT FOR ABOUT A WEEK OR TWO PRIOR TO TAKING THE VEHICLE TO THE KIA DEALERSHIP. I BELIEVE THAT THERE SHOULD BE SOME LAW THAT WOULD PREVENT A DEALERSHIP FROM SELLING A VEHICLE AND THEN ALLOWING THE CUSTOMER TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE OFF THE LOT KNOWING THAT THERE IS A SAFETY RECALL THE HAD NEVER BEEN RESOLVED.
ABNORMAL TIRE WEAR. CHUNKS OF TREAD MISSING FROM TWO FRONT TIRES. I AM ORIGINAL OWNER OF VEHICLE. AS INSTRUCTED BY DEALER, VEHICLE SERVICED ON 5/19/17 AT 15,345 MILES. WHILE DRIVING ON BOTH CITY STREETS AND HIGHWAYS, HEADLIGHTS TURN ON IN DAYLIGHT (WITH BRIGHT SKY ON DIFFERENT TIMES OF DAY) AND STAY ON WHILE ON AUTO WITH CLEAR AND UNOBSTRUCTED DASHBOARD LIGHT SENSORS. THIS HAPPENS RANDOMLY AND I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO DETERMINE A POSSIBLE CAUSE OR FIND ANY RECURRING CONDITIONS THAT MAY TRIGGER THIS. I TOOK THE CAR AS WELL AS A VIDEO OF THE ISSUE TO THE LOCAL KIA DEALER (HORNE KIA, GILBERT, AZ) AND THEY WERE UNABLE TO IDENTIFY THE PROBLEM. THEY SAID THEY TESTED THE LIGHT SENSORS AND THEY ARE WORKING FINE. I NOTICED THE ISSUE FOR THE FIRST TIME AT AROUND 15,000 MILES BUT I DIDN'T PAY TOO MUCH ATTENTION TO IT. My left headlamp always goes off. The lights go off all the time. I changed the bulb but its Not it. It the faulty light cable connections. I replace higher lights 12000k and the left light cable never stays on. Cause the left light cable is crap and never probably done. So i bought a lemon new off the lot
STEERING WHEEL SLIGHTLY JERKS ON ITS OWN GOING DOWN THE HIGHWAY. SEEMS. YO BE WORSE WHEN THE CAR IS WARMED UP AND DRIVEN MORE THAN 20 MINUETS. BOTH HANDS ON THE WHEEL TO KEEP THE CAR FROM VEERING THE STEERING SEEMS TO GET TIGHT HARD SPOTS AND THEN LOOSE, YOU CONTINUALLY ARE CORRECTING AND OVER CORRECTING AND YOU END UP ALL OVER YOUR LANE. TRACTION CONTROL - OUR VEHICLE HAS SUSTAINED TWO INCIDENTS INVOLVING THE TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM. THE FIRST INCIDENT INVOLVED THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT ON THE DASH ILLUMINATED INTERMITTENTLY WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS MOVING. THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF THEN BACK ON THE LIGHT WOULD GO OFF. THE DEALERSHIP EVALUATED THE PROBLEM BUT COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE INCIDENT. SEVERAL MONTHS LATER, THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION AT APPROXIMATELY 25-30 MPH, IN A RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD, IN A MODERATE RIGHT HAND TURN, AND THE TRACTION LIGHT CAME ON DURING THE TURN. THE VEHICLE BECAME UNCONTROLLABLE WHEN THE VEHICLE STEERED TOWARDS THE RIGHT AND FORCED US TO STRIKE A CURB CAUSING STEERING AND WHEEL DAMAGE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKE AGAIN TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED. WE WERE TOLD THE STEERING SENSOR HAD FAILED BUT THEY COULD NOT DETERMINE WHETHER THIS OCCURRED AS A RESULT OF THE COLLISION OR IF IT FAILED AND CAUSED THE COLLISION. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN AT THE KIA DEALERSHIP FOR SEVEN DAYS, THE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT RESPONDED TO ATTEMPT TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM AND DOWNLOAD DATA FROM THE VEHICLE'S COMPUTER BUT WE HAVE NOT HEARD THE STATUS AS OF THE 8TH DAY. WE ARE CONCERNED FOR OBVIOUS REASONS AND FEEL THERE'S AN ISSUE AFFECTING THE TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM WHICH AFFECTS THE STEERING. NOW THAT A COLLISION HAS RESULTED IN THE FAILURE OF THE SYSTEM, IT HAS BEEN VERY DIFFICULT TO GATHER INFORMATION FROM KIA AND FEEL THERE MAY BE OTHER INCIDENTS THAT HAVE BEEN OVERLOOKED AS SIMPLE COLLISIONS. WHILE TRAVEL IN RIGHT MOST LANE NORTH ON 15 IN JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP, NJ, I HEARD A LOUD BANG FROM CAR. IMMEDIATELY ALL POWER WAS LOST. GIVEN ROAD HAD NO SHOULDER, I STOP THE CAR IN THE TRAVEL LANE. I MOVED A SAFE DISTANCE FROM ROAD/VEHICLE AND CALLED POLICE STATION TO PROVIDED NOTICE OF DISABLED VEHICLE IN TRAVEL LANE. WHILE ON THE PHONE WITH POLICE FIRE STARTED FROM THE UNDERCARRIAGE. NOTIFIED POLICE TO SEND FIRE. FIRE ARRIVED WITHIN 5 MINUTES. HOWEVER, VEHICLE WAS ALREADY COMPLETELY ENGULFED IN FLAMES. THE MANUAL DOES NOT HAVE ANY INFORMATION ON THE LOAD INDEX, AND HAS A VAGUE SPEED INDEX CHART (RATING LETTER VS. SPEED) REFERRING TO PASSENGER VEHICLES IN GENERAL BUT NO MENTION OF THIS PARTICULAR VEHICLE.

I have been noticing at high speeds the steering "sticks." You have to be constantly moving the steering wheel back and forth to prevent the sticking. When mentioned to dealership, they say it's normal and don't document. I am starting to notice the sticking at losspeeds now that mileage is getting higher. This car has always done this, but getting worse.

WELL, NOW IT IS REALLY BAD SO TOOK IT BACK (4/17) BECAUSE IT STALLS ON ACCELERATION. I WAS TRYING TO ENTER A HIGHWAY, ACCELERATED KIA STALLED AGAIN RPM'S UP TO 5-6 DOWN TO 0, BUT HAD TO QUICKLY MOVE TO SHOULDER OR SEMI-TRUCK WOULD HAVE HIT ME. ONCE I STOPPED AND STARTED AGAIN, IT ACCELERATED. YESTERDAY, 4/5/17, DRIVING TO WORK IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC ON NJ E. I-78, WAS IN MIDDLE LANE MERGED TO LEFT LANE TO PASS (60 MPH), ACCELERATED KIA STALLED (RPMS UP THEN DOWN), I HAD TO BRAKE TO INDICATE TO CAR BEHIND ME OR I WOULD HAVE BEEN IN A HORRIFIC CRASH BECAUSE THIS ROADWAY CARRIES A MASSIVE AMOUNT OF SEMI'S. I WAS SCARED FOR MY LIFE AND MY HEART WAS RACING!! I WAS ABLE TO MOVE BACK TO CENTER LANE WHERE I REMAINED. THE KIA KEPT HAVING THE ACCELERATION ISSUE ALL THE WAY TO WORK AND ON THE WAY HOME SO I TOOK IT TO THE KIA DEALER. I DON'T KNOW IF THEY CAN REPLICATE THE ISSUE BUT I AM NOT DRIVING THIS VEHICLE UNTIL IT IS RESOLVED. I SEE ON LINE THERE ARE NUMEROUS OTHERS WITH THIS SAME ISSUE AND NO RECALL??!! AFTER INSPECTION AT SULLIVAN TIRE, AN AUTHORIZED KUMHO DEALER IT WAS DETERMINED THAT 2 OF MY ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT KUMHO KRUGEN 235/55/19 TIRES WERE OUT OF ROUND AND UNBALANCEABLE. ALL 4 TIRES HAD 6-7 32ND'S OF WEAR LEFT. IT WAS RECOMMENDED I REPLACE ALL. I REPLACE ALL 4 TIRES AND ONE OF THE REPLACEMENT TIRES IS OUT OF ROUND AND UNBALANCEABLE. 3 OUT OF 8 KUMHO KRUGEN TIRES HAVE MANUFACTURE DEFECTS.
