TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 LEXUS ES350. WHEN THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO BE SERVICED AT AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, THEY DIAGNOSED THE VEHICLE AND STATED THAT THE ENGINE HAD A FUEL LEAK. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 114,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 LEXUS ES350. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS COLD STARTED, THE ENGINE MADE A LOUD RATTLING NOISE. ALSO, WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, THE OIL LEVEL LOWERED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CAM SHAFT GEAR ASSEMBLY WAS DEFECTIVE AND UNABLE TO HOLD OIL TO REDUCE EMISSION CONTROL OF THE ENGINE WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED. THE CONTACT PLANNED TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO BREDEMANN LEXUS (2000 N WAUKEGAN RD, GLENVIEW, IL 60025, (847) 510-5535) FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING LATER THIS WEEK. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT EVEN THOUGH THE ENGINE WAS THE SAME AS IN OTHER VEHICLES THAT WERE RECALLED, THERE WERE NO RECALLS ON THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 91,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 LEXUS ES 350. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DASHBOARD WAS MELTING AND CREATED A BLINDING GLARE THAT COULD CAUSE A CRASH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO PRESTIGE LEXUS OF RAMSEY (1000 NJ-17, RAMSEY, NJ 07446, (855) 484-6393), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT ALSO RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V340000 (AIR BAGS). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.
THE DASBOARD IS MELTING SEVERELY WHICH CAUSES A BRIGHT GLARE DAY AND NIGHT, CAUSING VISIBILITY AND SAFETY CONCERNS. THERE IS ALSO A VERY OBNOXIOUS SMELL TO IT. I BOUGHT THIS CAR USED AND DIDN'T NOTICE THE ISSUE AT THE TIME. LEXUS SHOULD JUST OWN UP TO IT AND REPLACE THE DASH NO MATTER HOW OLD THE CAR IS SINCE IT IS A SAFETY HAZARD TO ME AND OTHERS ON THE ROAD. I PERSONALLY TRY NOT TO DRIVE DURING THE DAYTIME WHEN ITS THE WORST BUT THATS NOT ALWAYS FEASIBLE.
DASH OF A 2007 LEXUS ES350 IS MELTING IN SUN. DASH IS STICKY AND SHINES. SHINE BOTHERS MY VISION . DANGEROUS DRIVING THE CAR.
DURING THE MONTH OF JUNE, 2018 MY DASHBOARD TOP MELTED AND RELEASED AN OBNOXIOUS SMELL. NOW WHEN DRIVING FACING THE SUN THERE IS A GLARE ON THE WINDSHIELD THAT PROHIBITS A CLEAR VIEW WHILE DRIVING CREATING VARIOUS SAFETY PROBLEMS. TO OVERCOME THIS HAZARD THE DRIVER HAS TO PUT ON SUN GLASSES AND IF DRIVING AFTER SUNSET THE GLARE FROM STREET LIGHTS, TRAFFIC SIGNALS, ETC., CREATES MANY PROBLEMS BY DISTORTING THE VIEW THRU THE WINDSHIELD. AND NOW,THE DEFECTIVE DASHBOARD CANNOT BE REPAIRED OTHER THAN REPLACING IT WITH A NEW ONE.
MY AIRBAG IS STILL GOOD BUT THE LEXUS AND AUTOMOBILE BEREAU CONTACT ME FOR REPAIR SO HOW AM I STOPPING THEM TO ANNOY ME.
TAKATA RECALL
I HAVE A FAMILY OF FIVE AND HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO USE MY VEHICLE TO TAKE MY WHOLE FAMILY ANYWHERE FOR ALMOST A YEAR NOW. ANY TIME I HAVE A PASSENGER I HAVE TO ASK THAT THEY SIT IN THE BACK SEAT. THE DEALERSHIP WAS SUPPOSED TO CONTACT ME TO DETERMINE AIRBAG REPLACEMENT DATE AND PROVIDE A LOANER CAR IF THEY COULD NOT REPLACE THE AIRBAG IN A TIMELY MANNER. I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO GET THROUGH TO THE DEALERSHIP AND HAVE NOT RECEIVED A RETURN CALL. I FEEL I HAVE BEEN PATIENT BUT THIS HAS BECOME A BURDEN ON ME AND MY FAMILY AND I WOULD LIKE THE AIRBAG TO BE FIXED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE SO I CAN USE MY VEHICLE AS A FAMILY CAR AS INTENDED.
MY DASHBOARD IS MELTING AND IS STICKING TO TOUCH AND DEPRESSES WHEN TOUCHED AND NOT SAFE. I CALLED LEXUS AND I WAS TOLD IT'S BEYOND THE RECALL WINDOW AND I HAVE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET AND I CANNOT AFFORD IT. APPARENTLY THERE WAS A RECALL BACK IN 2016 BUT I BOUGHT MY CAR 12/2017 SO I MISSED THE WINDOW
STEERING: LINKAGES: TIE ROD ASSEMBLY. WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE THE FRONT RIGHT PASSENGER SIDE SHAKES AS IF SOMETHING'S LOOSE WHILE DRIVING
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 LEXUS ES350. WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH, THE VEHICLE JERKED AND DECELERATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A REPAIR SHOP WHERE FAILURE CODES WERE FOUND FOR THE TRANSMISSION COMPUTERIZED SYSTEM AND TRANSMISSION DRIVE TRAIN. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 220,000.
WHILE DRIVING AT A SLOW SPEED, MY FRONT PASSENGER WINDOW FELL OUT OF THE CAR WHEN I WENT TO RAISE IT. THE WINDOW DIDN'T BREAK, AND I MADE IT HOME AND REINSTALLED IT AND HELD IT IN WITH TAPE. THIS HAPPENED LAST WINTER. I HAVE DONE A LOT OF RESEARCH ON THIS, ESPECIALLY IN THE LEXUS FORUMS, AND THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING TO OTHER OWNERS AS WELL. IN MY CASE, THE WINDOW CLIPS DID NOT BREAK, BUT RATHER THERE WAS INSUFFICIENT ADHESIVE APPLIED TO THE CLIPS, OR THE ADHESIVE SIMPLY FAILED. IN MY OPINION, THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE FOR WHICH LEXUS SHOULD TAKE RESPONSIBILITY. OTHER, LATER YEARS WERE ALSO AFFECTED, AND THE CAUSE IS USUALLY 1 OR BOTH BROKEN CLIPS. OTHER OWNERS HAVE REPORTED AS MANY AS 3 WINDOWS BEING REPLACED THE LEXUS, AT GREAT COST SINCE THE ENTIRE WINDOW MUST BE REPLACED. IN MY CASE I FOUND AN AUTO GLASS SERVICE THAT WILL DO IT FOR $250, COMPARED TO THE DEALER COST OF $700. BUT THE ISSUE IS SAFETY! IF THIS HAPPENED AT HIGHWAY SPEED AND EITHER THE DRIVER'S WINDOW FELL OUT OR ANY OTHER WINDOW FELL OUT, IT MIGHT CAUSE LOSS OF CONTROL OR POSSIBLE INJURIES TO OTHERS OR A PASSENGER. ATTACHED IS A TSB RELEASED BY LEXUS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 LEXUS ES 350. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DASHBOARD ON THE PASSENGER SIDE BEGAN TO MELT. THE LOCAL DEALER (JM LEXUS, 5350 W SAMPLE ROAD, MARGATE, FL 33073) WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT A DIAGNOSTIC TEST NEEDED TO BE SCHEDULED. THE CONTACT DID NOT SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 170,000.
THE DASHBOARD IS MELTING CRACKING AND COMING APART, WE NOTICED THE PROBLEM IN JULY, AUGUST 2017, DID NOT KNOW IT WAS KNOWN PROBLEM TO LEXUS. IN DECEMBER 2017 I GOGGLED HOW TO REPAIR MELTING DASH AND FOUND OUT THIS WAS A PROBLEM THAT LEXUS WAS AWARE OF, WE BOUGHT THE LEXUS ES350 NEW IN 2007 AND ARE ORIGINAL OWNERS, LEXUS NOTIFIED US ABOUT THE AIR BAG RECALL BUT NEVER NOTIFIED US ABOUT THE MELTING DASH PROBLEM. THEY REPLACED THE AIR BAGS IN 2017 WHEN THE DASH WAS MELTING AND DID NOT SAY ANYTHING. NOW WHEN I CALLED THEM THEY SAID SORRY, THE WARRANTY PERIOD ENDED MAY 31 2017. THEY NEED TO REPLACE OWNER DASH BOARD NOW
MY VEHICLE, 2005 LEXUS ES350 IS EQUIPPED WITH FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG INFLATORS PRODUCED BY TAKATA. AS OF TODAY NOVEMBER 22, 2017, MY VEHICLE IS STILL NOT BEING RECALL BY THE MANUFACTURING TO HAVE REPLACE THE DEFECT AIRBAG. ALSO, MY DRIVER SIDE BACKSEAT SEATBELT IS NOT HOLD ON WHEN LATCHED IN. I BELIEVE IT IS A SAFETY THAT NEED TO BE FIX. I AM STILL USING THE VEHICLE FOR DRIVING.
TAKATA RECALL. WE CALLED LEXUS OF FIFE IN NOVEMBER OF 2017 WHEN WE RECEIVED NOTIFICATION THE AIRBAG REPLACEMENTS WERE AVAILABLE. AS OF THIS DATE OF JANUARY 21ST 2018 WE HAVE NOT HAD A FIX. WHEN WE CALLED THE FIRST OF THE YEAR WE WERE TOLD WE WE #51 ON THE LIST. WE CALLED AGAIN MID MONTH AND WERE TOLD THE SAME THING #51. THERE SEEMS TO BE NO SENSE OF URGENCY TO SOLVE THIS ISSUE. WE ARE SCHEDULED TO DRIVE TO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA FOR A WEDDING IN MID FEBRUARY 2018 AND I WOULD LIKE THIS ISSUE RESOLVED BEFORE WE DRIVE THAT FAR. IF THIS IS A DEADLY ISSUE SHOULDN'T IT BE A PRIORITY TO SOLVE IT. WHILE I UNDERSTAND LEXUS OF FIFE CAN'T DO FREE WORK ALL DAY THERE SHOULD BE ANOTHER OPTION TO FIX THIS PROBLEM ASAP.
TAKATA RECALL - AIRBAGS HAVEN'T BEEN REPLACED AS OF 11/17/2017
BOTH HEADLIGHTS GO OUT BY THEMSELVES WHILE DRIVING. IT HAS HAPPENED FOUR TIMES. THE DASH INDICATOR LIGHT SHOWS THE HEADLIGHTS ARE ON. MANUALLY TURNING THE HEADLIGHTS OFF AND ON GETS THEM ON AGAIN. VERY FRIGHTENING AND UNSAFE TO ALL OF A SUDDEN HAVE NO HEADLIGHTS. I HAVE APPOINTMENT WITH LEXUS TO FIX, BUT SHOULD BE A RECALL SAFETY ITEM.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL DEALER (HENDRICK TOYOTA NORTH CHARLESTON, 7151 RIVERS AVENUE, NORTH CHARLESTON, SC 29406) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ECU FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE PART DID NOT CALIBRATE WITH THE COMPUTER SOFTWARE. THE LOCAL DEALER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE PARTS WERE NO LONGER AVAILABLE DUE TO THE AGE OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT WAS INSTRUCTED NOT TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE DUE TO THE AIR BAGS NOT DEPLOYING IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND CONFIRMED THE INFORMATION PROVIDED BY THE LOCAL DEALER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 41,379.
TOYOTA/LEXUS REFUSING TO FIX THIS RECALL ON MY LEXUS VEHICLE.
MELTING DASHBOARD. SUN REFLEXTING OFF MAKING VISIBILTY 0 VERY DANGEROUS TO SEE ROAD. I HAVE NOTIFIED LEXUS THEY TOLD THE REPAIR DATE EXPIRED5/31/ 17, I RECIEVED NOTIFICATION NO NOTIFICATION OF THIS REPAIR NOTICE. I DONT KNOW WHEN IT WAS MAILED OUT BUT IT SEEMS OWNERS MUST ONLY GOTTEN A 6 MOTHS NOTICE. I HAVE TALKED TO OTHER OWNERS WHO THEY CARRIED THERE CARS IN FOR REPAIRS AND THE WARRANTY EXPIRED BEFORE THEY COULD GET THE REPAIRS.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2007 LEXUS ES350. WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, ANOTHER VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT SEAT PASSENGER SUSTAINED A NECK INJURY THAT DID NOT REQUIRE MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN UNKNOWN TOWING GARAGE AND DEEMED DESTROYED. THE CONTACT CALLED HOFFMAN LEXUS AT 860-525-3987; HOWEVER, THEY COULD NOT DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 91,000.

THE CONTACT CALLED THE MUNGENAST LEXUS DEALER (13700 MANCHESTER RD, MANCHESTER, MO 63011; 314-822-7681) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE DASHBOARD NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE REPAIR WAS NO LONGER COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 58,700.
TAKATA RECALL- KUNI LEXUS AT COLORADO SPRINGS, CO ADVISED ME SEVERAL MONTHS AGO THAT MY ES350 WAS SCHEDULED TO BE REPAIRED IN SEPTEMBER 2017. THEY ARE NOW TELLING ME THAT IT WON'T BE REPAIRED UNTIL DECEMBER 2017. THEY NOTIFIED ME THAT I SHOULD NOT OPERATE THE VEHICLE WITH A PASSENGER IN THE FRONT SEAT THUS CREATING A HARDSHIP FOR MY FAMILY.
TAKATA RECALL. CONCERNED ABOUT POSSIBLE INJURY IF AIR BAG MALFUNCTIONS.
MY WIFE INVOLVED AN ACCIDENT WHEN SHE WAS DRIVING CROSSING AN INTERSECTION IN THE CITY OF POMONA, CA. SHE WAS IMPACTED BY THE CROSSING CAR ON THE DRIVER'S FRONT AND SIDE PLUS THE LEFT REAR PASSENGER'S SIDE RIGHT BEHIND THE DRIVER. THE CAR WAS TOTALED, BUT NONE OF THE FRONT AND SIDE AIRBAGS WERE DEPLOYED DURING THE IMPACT, WHICH CAUSED THE LEFT CLAVICLE BONE FRACTURE, HEAD INJURIES, AND LEG INJURIES TO MY WIFE. THE CAR WAS CONFIRMED TO EQUIP WITH SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAGS, AND KNEE AIRBAGS.

"TAKATA RECALL". I BOUGHT THIS CAR NEW IN JULY 2007 AND THIS AIRBAG PROBLEM HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED SEVERAL YEARS AGO. I RECEIVED AN INTERIM RECALL NO. NHTSA 16V-340 WHICH RECOMMENDED NOT RIDING IN THE FRONT PASSEMGER SEAT. HOW PRACTICAL IS THIS? IF THESE CARS ARE DANGEROUS THEN GIVE US A LOANER UNTIL LEXUS CAN GET THE CARS FIXED.
TAKATA RECALL - I WAS NOTIFIED OF THE AIRBAG DANGER MID JANUARY 2017. MY LEXUS DEALER - NEW COUNTRY LATHAM HAS REFUSED TO REMEDY THE PROBLEM. IT SEEMS UNACCEPTABLE TO PERMIT THE DELAY OF THIS DANGEROUS SITUATION AND LIMIT THE USE OF THE VEHICLE TO BACK SEAT PASSENGERS.
AT THE TOP OF OUR DRIVEWAY JUST OUTSIDE THE GARAGE DOOR, MY WIFE PUT OUR 07' LEXUS ES350 IN GEAR AND SECONDS LATER THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO ACCELERATE WILDLY. SHE WAS UNABLE TO SLOW THE CAR'S WILD ACCELERATION DOWN THE DRIVEWAY AND CAUGHT PART OF A RETAINING WALL ON THE PROPERTY WHICH FLIPPED THE VEHICLE ON IT'S SIDE. I WAS INSIDE THE HOUSE AT THE TIME BUT HEARD THE CAR'S ENGINE REV JUST BEFORE THE CRASH. THE ACCIDENT APPEARS TO HAVE INITIATED BY SOME EXTREMELY DANGEROUS MECHANICAL FAILURE THAT ALLOWED THE ENGINE TO REV UNCONTROLLABLY . OUR INSURANCE COMPANY WILL SOON BE TOWING THE LEXUS TO THEIR FACILITY. I NOTIFIED A CLAIMS AGENT THAT THE ACCIDENT SHOULD BE BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF NHTSA HOWEVER, THE AGENT WAS NOT AWARE OF HOW TO COORDINATE THE EFFORT SO I AM PROCEEDING FORWARD MYSELF ASAP. THE CAR IS OBVIOUSLY TOTALED AND I'M NOT SURE WHAT INSURANCE WILL DO WITH THE VEHICLE.
DASHBOARD IS MELTING. I WAS TOLD I SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN A RECALL LETTER. I DID NOT RECEIVE A LETTER PERTAINING TO THE REPLACEMENT OF THE DASH. IT IS BETWEEN 96 TO 100% FOR MONTHS HERE AND THE DASH GETS SO HOT EVEN TO TOUCH IT. . I PUT A SUNSCREEN OVER WINDSHIELD AND PUNCTURES IT. I AM NOT ASKING FOR A REPLACEMENT BUT JUST REPAIRING IT.. I LOVE MY CAR AND INTEND TO GET NEW ONE NEXT YEAR BUT I PLAN ON KEEPING IT FOR ANOTHER YEAR. I WENT TO STERLING MCCALL LEXUS AND WAS TOLD MINE OFFER EXPIRED MAY, 2017. TAKATA RECALL. RECALL NOTICE CAME SOME MONTHS AGO. WAS TOLD BY DEALER ON 5/28/17 THAT IT WOULD TAKE UNTIL SEPTEMBER -- AFTER THE SUMMER WHEN I NEED THE CAR MOST -- BEFORE IT CAN BE FIXED. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.
THE DEFECT HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED FOR OVER TWO YEARS. HOWEVER, TAKATA AND LEXUS HAVE FAILED TO PRODUCE A CORRECTION. I HAVE A 2014 ACURA RDX WITH A TAKATA AIR BAG ISSUE AS WELL, IT HAS BEEN CORRECTED. THE DELAY ON THE LEXUS IS UNACCEPTABLE.

AFTER WAITING SIX MONTHS !!!. THE REPAIR DATE WAS MISSED AND NO NEW DATE HAS BEEN PROMISED FOR REPAIR. STILL WAITING AND CANNOT USE THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT !!

THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 LEXUS ES350. WHILE STATIONARY AND DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, A GLARE CAME FROM THE DASHBOARD THAT OBSTRUCTED THE CONTACT'S VISION. THE REFLECTION OF THE SUN ONTO THE DASHBOARD CREATED A GLARE. THE SUNLIGHT WAS REFLECTED FROM THE DASHBOARD ONTO THE WINDSHIELD, WHICH PREVENTED THE CONTACT FROM SEEING CLEARLY. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 71,000.
MY DASHBOARD IS MELTING. THERE WAS A CUSTOMER SUPPORT PROGRAM THAT EXPIRED IN 2017. I NEVER RECEIVED ANY INFORMATION ABOUT TAKING MY CAR IN FOR A DASHBOARD REPLACEMENT. WHEN IT'S HOT OUTSIDE THE GLARE IS SO INTENSE THAT I AM NOT ABLE TO DRIVE THE CAR BECAUSE I AM AFRAID OF HAVING AN ACCIDENT. I AM NOT ABLE TO CLEAN THE DASHBOARD. GOT A NOTICE FROM LEXUS ABOUT THE SAFETY RECALL HOWEVER I CALLED THE LOCAL DEALER LONGO LEXUS MORE THAN 4 MONTHS AGO INFORMING THEM THAT I HAD READ ABOUT THE RECALL AND WANTED TO BRING MY VEHICLE IN. I WAS INFORMED THAT I COULD NOT BRING IT IN AT THAT TIME BUT TO NOT LET ANYONE SIT IN THE PASSENGER SEAT UNTIL THE PROBLEM WAS FIXED. MORE THAN 4 MONTHS HAVE PASSED AND I AM JUST NOW GETTING THE NOTICE AND SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT. MY AIR BAN WARNING LIGHT HAS BEEN ON FOR MORE THAN 3 MONTHS AND IT HAS BEEN EXTREMELY INCONVENIENT FOR ME AND MY FAMILY TO GO SOMEWHERE AND NO ONE EXCEPT THE DRIVER CAN SIT IN THE PASSENGER OR FRONT SEAT. I CALLED LONGO LEXUS FOR AN APPOINTMENT AND THEY SET IT UP FOR MAY 24, 2017 AT 9:00 A.M. HOWEVER IN THE RESPONSE EMAIL THAT WAS SENT BY THE LONGO REPRESENTATIVE SHE ADDED SEVERAL ADDITIONAL SERVICES THAT SHE SAID THAT I REQUESTED WHEN THE ONLY SERVICE I REQUESTED WAS THE REPLACEMENT OF THE DANGEROUS AND FAULTY AIR BAG(S). SHE ALSO SENT ME A BOGUS EMAIL ADDRESS AS WELL AS THE NOTIFICATION LETTER SENDING OUT BOGUS WEBSITE. THE WEBSITE REFERENCED IN THE LETTER WAS WWW.SAFERCAR.GOV. HOWEVER WHEN I TRIED TO ACCESS THIS SITE ON MY COMPUTER A MESSAGE CAME BACK THAT THERE WAS NO SUCH SITE. THIS SERVICE NEEDS TO BE EXPEDITED BECAUSE OF WHAT MY FAMILY AND I HAVE HAD TO GO THROUGH. AFTER THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN IN THE SHOP FOR NUMEROUS REPAIRS OVER THE COURSE OF A YEAR I ENDED UP HAVING TO BUY ANOTHER VEHICLE AND GETTING STUCK WITH A LIEN FOR THE LEXUS IN WHICH THE CAR IS NON-FUNCTIONAL. PAID OUT OF POCKET THUS FAR FOR A NUMBER OF ISSUES, INCLUDING: RADIATOR FAILING, ALL HOSES REPLACED, AXLE REPLACEMENT, TO NAME A FEW. CAR ONLY HAD 15000 MILES PLACED ON IT, BOUGHT USED. PURCHASED A WARRANTY THROUGH THE DEALERSHIP AND WHEN ATTEMPTED TO MAKE A CLAIM, CLAIM WAS DENIED DUE TO DEALERSHIP NON-PAYMENT & "FORGETTING TO FILE PAPERWORK." OPENED UP CLAIM WITH MARYLAND INSURANCE COMMITTEE AND REPORTED DEALERSHIP FOR FRAUD.
